It had been almost six months since Catherine had left, abruptly and without any proper explanation. When it finally seemed as if Steve was starting to act like his old self, pieces of his would tear open anytime he left himself remember. Not that he was walking around broken zombie sulking at every moment.

But like most.

He wore the hurt in his eyes.

The ones closest to him seeing right through his tough demeanor.

Danny and the rest of the team had spent the last six months trying to cheer up their team leader up to no end, further strengthening their Ohana bond.

Many months filled with fishing, hiking and camping trips to aid in distracting. It was not a surprise when Steve was persuaded back into the field with a blind date.

As much as he wanted to make the statement that he had moved on. It wasn't worth continuing something that his heart was clearly not in.

So there went another mutual break up.

If you would even call calling quits to casually dating the same person 'breaking up'

Some say that there is no remedy to a broken heart like a new flame.

With the right flame heating things, up.

The math of two broken hearts pieced together well enough could become one.

When they first saw one another.

"C'mon Danno when you said that you wanted to have a guy's night. I didn't think it'd include picking out underwear for your girlfriend." Steve complained as the duo headed into the infamous lingerie store.

Danny's go-to place for when his antics landed himself in the doghouse.

"I won't take long this time I promise."

"Ten minutes max."

Almost immediately the store manager Lalea spotted Danny.

Known to her and the staff as one of their regulars, given the number of times he had visited in the last two months both alone and with the company of who he was shopping for.

He had earned himself quite the reputation, along with a hefty credit card bill, notoriety as a hopeless romantic wanting to spoil his girlfriend.

"Luna, come on now is this really necessary?" A petite Polish blonde named Roxy whined as her sister dragged her throughout the sensuously provocative rooms of Victoria's Secret.

Her bottle burgundy haired sister, Luna happily picking out the most risqué items to spoil her and her future husband with.

"Since you and Enzo have opted to keep it old school and wait until marriage to cash in your V cards. I would say this is necessary." Luna said happily as she picked out another under outfit to spice up Roxy's honeymoon.

Roxy shook her head smiling at her big sister's excitement of her impending nuptials, appreciating these thoughtful gestures of getting her out of her simplistic comfort zone.

"Now head into those fitting rooms. I'm going to grab some stuff for me." Luna pushed Roxy into the hall that led int the fitting rooms and headed off in search for her own personal needs.

Wandering through each room of the store, she picked up a variety of much-needed essentials and tossed them into her bag, throwing in lace trimmed impulses in along the way.

"Luna, are you and your sister still doing alright?" Laela asked, taking a pause on her conversation with Danny.

Danny and Steve turned to look at the young woman walking over towards them.

Steve being a little more affected by this new presence than Danny, both gawking on as she approached.

Luna had just turned twenty-eight and like most women, she was in her prime.

Sporting a year-round summer glow that her Mexican ancestors passed down to her generation pairing that off with an incredible hourglass figure that no matter how much she worked out she could not get rid of her bust or butt.

Her height however was what added to her whimsical appearance as she was barely five two, however her insecurities narrowed toward this feature of hers as she always masked it by wearing heels and wedges any time she went out, this time being no exception as you could hear her a mile away from the four-inch clackers that she wore.

Since she didn't have any formal engagements for the daytime, she sported a simple ivory colored body wrap dress that left nothing to the imagination to the outlining of her curves, the color of the dress paired with her wavy long blood red hair, made her tan skin and chocolate-colored eyes glow in any sort of light - fluorescent or otherwise.

Steve's sour mood was sweetened the moment he caught sight of the red headed vixen headed their way, Danny immediately following ogling her himself turned to catch the awestruck expression on Steve's face.

He couldn't help but smirk as he was no longer being hastened to make their detour to guy's night go a little quicker.

"Well, I finally got her into the fitting room. With any luck she'll try it all on and pick a few of them out."

"Considering some of the pieces you picked out and the fact that she is still a virgin I can understand why she wouldn't."

"I probably shouldn't have told you that. But hey you pointed me in the right direction and - I'm sure they'll both be thanking me after the honeymoon." The two women laughed at Luna's obvious pushy attitude towards her baby sister.

No sooner did she finish her sentence she caught a glimpse of the two men gawking at her.

Her gaze stopped the moment she caught eyes with Steve, blushing slightly as she had been caught in such a lustrous conversation.

She turned her attention back to Laela, pursing her lips into a half assed smile, trying to stay away from the smiling like an idiot type of grin.

Wheels in Danny's head started to turn, noticing the way that not only Steve was looking at this woman, but the way that she returned a similar gaze in kind.

"Looking at everything that you have been picking out for her I'm sure he will." Laela continued the conversation, trying to keep from chuckling at such an entertaining exchange between the two.

"Well, I see you are really busy here. Thank you so much for all of your help." She was able to regain her composure.

Feeling eyes watching her every move she walked away as confidently as she could, she prayed that she wouldn't trip or stumble.

Once Danny had made his selections and Laela had given them some space to browse around the store, he took his chance to start teasing Steve about how he was gawking at the woman named Luna.

"So that's why you stopped complaining." Danny smirked at Steve trying to hold back the obvious laughter that was coming.

"What are you talking about?" Steve gave him a light punch trying to play off the fact that he was hardcore checking this girl as she stood with them and then as she walked away.

"You and that hot little red-head eye banging each other." Steve couldn't help but laugh at the statement.

"Eye banging? Who says that? Grow up Danny." He tried to downplay his obvious attraction for her.

"Yes. judging by the way she looked back at you. I wouldn't be surprised if she's waiting for you to go and talk to her." Danny tried to push him into the direction that Luna had headed off in.

"Absolutely not." The practicality in Steve's mind caught up with the testosterone, shutting down any desire to take on Danny's suggestion.

Having just ended things with Lynn and still feeling the stinging loss of Catherine lingering in the back of his mind, he wasn't sure if he was ready to move onto yet another distraction from what happened.

Danny knew better than to push Steve any further for the moment.

After all Steve had been through with Catherine, all he wanted was for his best friend and brother to be happy, the way that he was with Melissa.

Even if he couldn't push Steve into making the first move.

He would certainly try to navigate serendipity into helping him.

Little did he know that today Serendipity would send a sister to help him out.

Taking advantage of a much more agreeable Steve, he walked about the store hoping that he wouldn't notice that instead of finding what he was shopping for, he was scanning the store to see if he could find the redhead that took his friend's breath away.

Meanwhile in the fitting rooms, Luna and her sister had finally made their choices of what to purchase and made their way to the perfume section to kill time browsing for a bit.

Not realizing that a procrastinating Danny and a less than ecstatic Steve were on the other side of the aisle, within earshot of the conversation the sisters were about to have.

"So, have you found a date for my wedding yet? Only six more month's left." Luna rolled her eyes at her sister's persistence.

"I'm well aware that it's six months away. No, I am pretty sure I'm gonna go stag for this one." She picked up a bottle of 'Tease" and sprayed it on her wrist to see how it would smell on her.

"Don't you think it's time you moved on? I mean you must move on sometime."

"I have moved on. Just not in the way that you and the rest of the family want me to." Luna argued gently.

I hate to have to tell you this but... mom thinks that you've switched teams." Luna rolled her eyes and laughed reaching for another bottle to smell.

"That explains so much. No, I am still very much into men. I am just not worried about dating right now. If I meet someone worth my time I won't shut it down, but I just moved away from the only state I've ever lived in and starting this new job. I'd rather not be balancing the work hours I have coming my way, unpacking and add manhunting into the mix." Roxy nodded in understanding towards her sister.

After all she had been through in her last relationship, the last thing she wanted to do was be another broken record going on and on about Luna's love life.

Or rather lack thereof.

Like everyone else in Luna's life, all they wanted was for her to find happiness to be a constant by her side.

"Alright - alright, I'll lay off and I will try to get mom and mamo to lay off too. Before either of them starts sending female blind dates your way."

"Please do. I'd rather not have to explain that I'm not a lesbian to her and whatever date is lined up." The pair heard low chuckles coming from the other side of the shelf that they were looking at, sneaking over to veer around the corner they saw Danny and Steve.

"Hot guy alert." Roxy wiggled her eyebrows at her sister.

"Slow down. The one in the button up has a girlfriend." Roxy squinted her eyes in suspicion.

"And you know this how?"

"He was talking to the sales associate about getting some stuff for his girlfriend and dragged the taller one out before they head out for a guy's night." Neither of the two girls realized that Laela was right behind them listening in on their conversation unintentionally as she was coming up to check on her customers.

"You two still doing, okay?" She said in a hushed tone.

Trying to play off the fact that they were clearly coauthor off guard, both women straightened up and feigning as if nothing was going on, but Laela knew better remembering the way that Luna was looking at Steve.

"Danny the shorter one may not be single but his friend Steve- the taller one is... just a thought." Luna chuckled nervously as the store manager walked away, looking back over at her sister who was still ogling Steve.

"He is hot!" He little sister gushed as they walked up to the register to make their purchases.

Little did Luna realize that lucky man that they were talking about was a right behind them in line with his best friend, she promised that she wouldn't push her sister into anything, but it didn't mean that she couldn't try and set something in motion.

"You wanted to go to Cielo's tonight, right?" She asked casually while looking at the items on the towers that lined each cashier aisle.

"Yes, ma'am."

"So, Cielo and Marcus turned it into a rooftop bar and night club?" She asked curiously saying the name yet again trying to drop the hint.

"Yep, restaurant during the day and night club after sundown. Plus, she just added the taco bar on the weekends, so she's slammed most nights I've only been there a couple of times, but it's got my approval for a night's entertainment." She slowly reached into her purse, looking for a business card without rousing any suspicion from the woman on her right.

"I see. Why don't we eat there tonight instead?" Roxy kept her attention on the beauty items next to her, trying to get her sister's attention to the fact that she reached into her bag for a business card of their beloved aunt's restaurant, leaving it in front of the perfume bottles.

"Fine by me. I'm sure they could use some extra hands during set up. Now give me that shopper you are not paying for your own honeymoon lingerie." Roxy gave out a faux groan and handed over her shopper to her sister, trying to keep the smirk from her lips as she caught a glimpse of Danny picking up the card.

"Oils, blindfolds and lingerie. Are all your wedding gifts going to be this sexual?" Roxy commented, looking at all the lingerie being set out on the counter.

"Don't forget the handcuffs...nonsexual related I did give you the Kitchen Aid stand mixer with the attachments that you registered for." Roxy giggled.

"Yeah-yeah….as I recall the card said, 'an angel in the kitchen and a devil in the bedroom'."

Once the cashier was done ringing and wrapping the final count of the bill had made Roxy's eyes bulge out.

"Five hundred- who spends five hundred at Victoria's Secret?" Luna couldn't help but laugh as she pulled out a couple of coupons and handed them to the cashier.

"Chill out, it's the duty of the maid of honor has to spoil the bride and besides I needed a few things too. So, the total is completely justified."

"Essentials says the one who isn't on any sort of manhunt. You can kill a guy with what you buy for yourself." Luna laughed and had to agree.

"Well blame Dax and Bebe, they got into my delicate stash again and damn near destroyed all my good stuff this time." Roxy laughed and remembered the way that neither of Luna's German Shepherds would even look at her after she had discovered the mess of wires and fabric all over her room.

"You have got to train those two a little better."

"I did. For some damn reason bras and underwear seem to be a weakness for them, I'm just grateful that they don't have a shoe fetish." Still standing behind them, both boys couldn't help but listen in on the funny exchange between the sisters, especially when it came to the bickering about how much Luna likes to spend on Victoria's Secret merchandise.

Bill paid and bags in hand, the two sisters turned to make their way out of the store.

Now realizing that her eye candy had been behind her this whole time, Luna blushed ten shades of red biting her lip to keep that Cheshire grin from forming.

Roxy caught on right away to this little exchange between the two and chuckled at her older sister wondering if Danny would really come through.

Danny did not miss a beat when it came to Roxy's less than subtle hints, he slipped the business card into his pocket and remained silent as he wouldn't be pushing Steve with words this time, now having a scheming companion in the mix.

"Remind me again why we're going out? It's not like we can drink." Immediately googling the business card name Danny began to browse all that Cielo's had to offer.

"Live music, fireworks display and dollar tacos."

"So where exactly?" Steve asked Danny trying to distract Danny from his gawking at Luna again.

"Just some place that a friend recommended. I'll text you the address and we can meet up there in an hour?" Steve shrugged as it wasn't his usual cup of tea to try a new place other than their favorite spots.

"What you're not gonna let me drive?" He asked poking fun.

"Not tonight brada. I'm heading to Melissa's after." Steve chuckled.

"Make sure she doesn't keep you up all night again. We have a meeting tomorrow at ten."

"Alright boss don't worry I won't be late again." Danny mocked.

With that they finished their little detour at the counter and headed back to Danny's car.
