Chapter 10: Clash of The Night

Back when Hiccup and Hicca were little, they were unable to fall asleep. They were holding their dragon toys that their mother had given them when they were very little, but to be honest, the things scared them.

They went downstairs in order to get a drink only to find that his father sitting in front of the fireplace crying. They remembered that today was the anniversary that their mother had been killed and it still left a mighty deep scar in their father's heart.

They were just about to make their way back to their room when Stoick heard them and looked up.

"Kids!" Stoick said, wiping away his tears. "You both should be asleep."

"We were thirsty," said Hiccup timidly.

"We just wanted to get some water," Hicca said shyly.

Stoick sighed and then extended his hand to them. "Yeah, come here."

The Haddock then began to climb down the stairs, leaving their toys on them, and then ran up to their father. Stoick then lifted them into his lap and allowed him to use the tongs to stoke the fire.

"Dad? Are you gonna get us a new Mum?" Hiccup asked.

"Because well, we just don't know if we want one." Hicca added.

Stoick then gave them a big hug and kissed them on their heads.

"Well that's good, because I don't want another either," he said looking at them. "Your mum was the only woman for me. She was the love of my life. But with love comes loss, kids. It's part of the deal. Sometimes it hurts, but in the end, it's all worth it. There's no greater gift than love."

Back in the present, the Haddock Twins still remembered those words when they were flying back to New Berk. They were now riding on top of their dragons and the mood was quiet throughout the journey. Midnight was extremely depressed and the Haddock Twins looked at Astrid, Henry, Heather, and Mira as if they weren't too about how things had ended.

They then landed on New Berk and the Haddock twins looked at their dragons then towards the building that was being built on a nearby cliff. After his little experience in the Hidden World, he knew there was no way that any of them could live down there. As wondrous as it was, it belonged to the dragons and their dragons were never going to be fully happy with them and not with their pride.

The Haddock Twins remember what Mira told them about Jormungandr, and knew that if they brought the tribe down there they'd be fish for slaughter. And that the Hidden World needed as many Night Furies as possible to fight against him.

They loved their dragons, they helped them become the chief and healer they are today and the four have been inseparable ever since. However, The Haddock Twins knew that they couldn't live without Astrid or Henry, and they remembered how heartbroken their father had been when they for that their mother had been killed.

Hicca sighed as she walked up to Midnight. "It's okay, girl. You and Toothless belong there, with them. We don't." She said sadly.

"Yeah. We couldn't have done that to you. We were just worried." Hiccup added with the same expression.

'We know you wanted to keep us safe. But we can't just leave them down there.' Midnight moaned. 'Not while the Serpent is down there, endangering their lives.'

'And we can't just leave you two behind either.' Toothless added, knowing that even if they wanted to go, they couldn't leave their riders behind as their five cubs circled them and nodded in agreement.

"And that's all right." Hiccup said to them, as he and Hicca placed their hands on their dragons' cheeks.

"We know that you need to be with your families and protect the rest of dragonkind from Jormungandr." Hicca continued as she stroked Midnight. "We'll find a way to man-"

Just then, the Light Furies, Daybreak, and Moona, flew over them and landed in the grassy meadows, which perked up the Night Fury family as they rushed towards them. "Hey! Daybreak and Moona followed us back!" Hiccup exclaimed in surprise.

The Night Fury family circled the two Light Furies as the Light Furies gave concerned coos at them as the riders watched with smiles. "If they're here! That means the rest of the Pride might be behind!" Hicca exclaimed in joy as the others walked up towards them. "We might not have to say goodbye after all."

'Daybreak! Moona! You're here!' Starlight exclaimed in excitement.

'Wait, why are you here?" Darkie asked in wonder.

'Did my father send you two to let us know he's coming and changing his mind about humans?' Midnight asked hopefully.

'Um, actually, we didn't come here for that,' Moona said nervously.

'What? Then why did you fly over here then?' Nightshade asked in wonder.

'Is the Jormungandr attacking the dragons again so soon?' Toothless asked dreadfully.

'It's your father, Midnight,' Daybreak said seriously, 'He's coming here for your flock,'

'The Flock? Why?' Midnight asked in surprise.

'To give them a true Alpha!' Stoick's voice roared as Midnight and the others flinched from his outburst as they saw him landing in the meadow in front of them with a glare as the rest of the Pride landed behind him. 'One that your mate has failed to be.'

"Hey, look, Stoick's here!" Hiccup exclaimed happily. "See, I knew we'd gain the Pride's trust."

Mira, however, gave a worried look. "Um, Hiccup, that's not what Stoick is here for." She told the Haddock Boy.

"What?" Hiccup asked in surprise.

"What do you mean?" Henry asked in concern.

"He's here to take over the Berk Flock and bring them back to the Hidden World." Mira translated grimly.

"What!?" They all exclaimed in shock.

'Father! You can't do this!' Midnight yelled as she got to her father, but he pushed her aside with his wing.

'Stay out of this, Midnight. I will not have you or him put our kind in danger any more than we are already by choosing these humans over us,' Stoick said firmly before turning to Toothless, 'Your attachment to these humans will always divide your loyalty boy. If you had to choose between the boy and your family, which would you choose?'

'W-What?' Toothless asked in shock. 'Are you really trying to get me to choose?' He asked in disbelief.

'Yes. Would you choose that boy or family? Because there's only be one you can protect, so choose wisely.' Stoick said firmly.

Toothless looked nervous as he looked around. 'C-Can't I choose both?' He suggested.

'Either you come back and swear you're allegiance to the hidden world or you stay here and I lead your flock to where they belong,' Stoick said as he took a battle-ready stance, 'So boy, what is you're choice?'

Toothless gave a conflicted look, turning to Hiccup who looked worried and at his family before looking down. He knew the dragons of the Hidden World needed him but so did his rider and the others.

So after some thinking, Toothless gave his answer, 'No.' He growled firmly.

'What?!' Stoick roared in shock, 'No?! What do you mean, 'No'?!' He demanded.

'I mean no, I won't be forced to choose between Hiccup and the Dragons of the Hidden World,' Toothless said bravely as he looked Stoick in the eye, 'A wise Leader once said that a 'Leader protects his own', and my own are both the humans and dragons of the Hooligan Tribe of New Berk!'

Stoick snarled, 'You would choose that boy, the one who robbed you of your flight, over your own kind?!' He demanded.

'If it means protecting him and everything we love from a mad-man obsessed with killing all dragons, Yes!' Toothless answered with hesitation.

Mira and Valkyrie gave impressed smiles, "You have a very loyal Dragon, Hiccup Haddock," Mira told the Haddock boy.

"I know, and I'll always be grateful for him," Hiccup said with a proud smile.

'That's my boy,' Valkyrie said proudly.

'Clearly you do not know what it means to be a leader if you think humans and dragons can live together in our homeland,' Stoick told the younger male.

Toothless narrowed his eyes, 'You know it's funny. My friend, Hookfang ran into a similar problem with a pathetic Titan-Wing who just couldn't take the hint,' He snorted, remembering how Hookfang battled his nemesis on Dragon's Edge for Girl-Hookfang's territory.

'What do you mean by that?' Stoick questioned him as Toothless responded with a loud roar in Stoick's face, much to his surprise.

Valkyrie, Midnight, and Daybreak recognized this roar and were shocked, 'An Alpha's Challenge Roar?' Daybreak asked.

'Oh no,' Midnight muttered in worry.

Stoick looked in shock before he growled ragefully. 'So, you decided the Alpha Challenge? Fine by me. It seems that I will have show you what a true leader is!' He called as he gave a roar of his own, accepting the challenge.

The two Night Furies started circling each other, barring their teeth, waiting for the other to make the first move. "Have any of you ever seen a Night Fury fight its own kind before?" Mira asked the Riders in worry.

"Uh, no. This is the first." Heather said uneasily.

"And something tells me, it will be intense." Astrid added.

"Maybe we should take a big step back." Hicca suggested as they all nodded and backed away a bit.

Toothless and Stoick looked at each other, but the Toothless charged up his plasma blast, but before he could fire, Stoick shot his, which caused Toothless to jump back in surprise before he shot his plasma blast many times, but Stoick dodged each one as he then did a flip and landed on his legs before spinning around and whacking Toothless back with his tail.

"Wow, Stoick is faster than Toothless!" Henry exclaimed in shock as Toothless shook his head and decided to get closer and ran at Stoick, tackling him as the two rolled on the ground and into the forest as the others followed them.

"I hope Toothless wins." Hiccup said in concern.

"I hope Stoick doesn't try to kill him just to take the title!" Hicca called as they all rushed into the forest with the other dragons following

In the forest, Toothless and Stoick were still rolling across the forest floor before Stoick flipped Toothless off and he crashed against a boulder, which made him yell in pain and fell to the floor. 'You little cub! Do you really think you can hold your own against a Titan-Wing?!' Stoick questioned as he fired another plasma blast, but Toothless quickly jumped out of the way.

'Better question is, do you think you can stop a dragon who's defeated dragons ten times his own size?!' Toothless shot back as he whipped his tail in Stoick's face. 'I've faced bigger dragons than you!'

Stoick shook his head as he growled before slapping Toothless with his wing, causing the young Night Fury to turn around completely. 'You may have faced bigger dragons, but I have a ten times the amount of experience you do! And this is hardly my first challenge as Alpha!' He roared as he then swiped his paw at Toothless's face, which sent Toothless flying.

Toothless managed to get up before he felt a claw at the side of his face, which made him roar in pain as he saw Stoick next to him as he dodged another swipe and leaped on his back before jumping off to the other side of him. 'Why can't you trust humans?! Our kind can coexist with them! Even Midnight has given them a chance since we first met our riders!' He exclaimed while dodging another plasma blast from Stoick.

'These humans are what separated me and my daughter so many years age!' Stoick roared as he fired more plasma blasts, but as Toothless flew up, he got whacked by Stoick's tail. 'They're the ones who gave me this, and they're the ones who've made life all but impossible for us! They're monsters to our kind!'

'That's just Grimmel you're thinking about, not all humans are like him.' Toothless said as he stood up and blasted at Stoick but he blocked it with his wings.

'They've slaughtered HUNDREDS of us!' Stoick roared at Toothless.

'And we've killed just as many of them!' Toothless countered. 'We're all just trying to survive! But we can all coexist one another! If we just give them the chance to-'

'I've had ENOUGH!' Stoick roared as he then charged up his lightning, which made Toothless go wide eye as Stoick gave a mighty roar and blasted a huge bolt of electricity at Toothless, who tried to shield himself with his wings but launched back and slammed hard into a boulder, causing him to roar in pain as he struggled to get up as Stoick advanced towards him. 'You are not fit to be king. You are not even fit to be with my daughter. Once I take your title, I will force her back and we will remain in the Hidden Word. And you, you will only be a lone dragon with no purpose.' He said as he then charged up his plasma blast again. 'But I will spare you if you yield.'

'N-Never.' Toothless moaned with a painful yet determined expression. 'I'll die before I submit to you.'

'So be it,' Stoick said as he was about to finish off Toothless, but then a yelling could be heard as it brought the two Night Furies' attention. 'What's that?" He questioned in confusion.

Toothless, however, gave a smirk, 'The sound of a crazy Nut.' He answered as coming from the sky was Ruffnut and the Scuttleclaw she was riding on.

"Incoming little dragon!" Ruffnut exclaimed as she and the Scuttleclaw came flying in like a harpoon directly towards Stoick.

'What in the name of-?!' Stoick was cut off as Ruffnut and her Scuttleclaw crashed into him and collided with a tree while Toothless cringed from the impact.

Ruffnut stood up as she gave a wide smile. "Woo! Now that was a great crash after a boring flight back to the village!" She exclaimed in excitement as she turned to Toothless. "Hey, T. How's it going?"

"Ruff!" The Two turned to see the Haddock Twins, Henry, Astrid, Heather, and the Furies running up to them, "Where'd you come from?" Hicca asked in surprise.

"I just got it here from Grimmel's lair, obviously." Ruffnut said oblivious. "What's with the dragon fight?"

"Uh, that's a long story." Hiccup said as he and Midnight rushed up to Toothless, who managed to regain some of his strength. "Are okay, bud?"

Toothless gave a moan. 'I'm fine. Fried and a bit dizzy, but still okay.' He said as Midnight nuzzled Toothless in comfort.

'Toothless, you shouldn't have fought my father. He could've killed you,' Midnight said as their five cubs came in and circled around to comfort him. 'Where is he? I have a few choice words for him.' She added while giving a glare.

'He's over there by the tree, took a hit hard to the head.' Toothless answered while pointing to Stoick, who was giving a dizzy expression from the crash he took.

'Oh, he's gonna get more than that when I'm through with him," Midnight growled as she walked to where her father was still recovering.

Toothless however stopped her, 'Midnight, please. I know you're angry at him but, he's still your father. He was only doing what he thought was right for you,' He told her.

'And nearly killed you while not giving humans of chance? Not gonna let this slide.' Midnight said firmly as she walked up to her father, who regained his bearings.

'Ugh, right in the noodle.' Stoick said as he shook his head and looked at Midnight, who is glaring at him ragefully. 'Oh, sweetie. You're here.' He said before he recieved a big wing slap from Midnight. 'Ow! What was that for?!' He exclaimed in pain.

'For trying to kill my mate just so you could be the King of Dragons!' Midnight yelled angrily. 'All this just so you could try and keep me away when my friends needed me the most?! And trying to kill my mate who been by my side since I was a cub was going to change that?! What is wrong with you!?' She questioned in a rageful tone.

'I-I was just trying to keep you safe!' Stoick yelled in offensive as he stood up. 'Your mate had chosen his side and would rather than lead his kind!' He yelled.

'And you don't think I would do the same thing!?' Midnight retorted. 'Toothless and I had bonded with our friends so well that we are like family together! We even became Alphas together to lead our kind, and you're trying to take that away just so we can have your way!'

'I would do anything I could in order to protect-!' Stoick tried to retort but was cut off.

'You're not listening!' Midnight yelled with tears falling in her eyes. 'I'm not a hatchling anymore, Dad! I'm a full-grown dragonness and a Queen of Dragons! I face dangers and perals every day! And Toothless has been by my side since through it all! He protected me! He fought for me! He loves me and I love him! And we trust humans with all our hearts! Something you lack completely!' She yelled, which made Stoick flinch back from that as she turned away from him.

'Midnight, wait.' Stoick tried to say, but Midnight turned and released a plasma blast at Stoick's feet, which barely missed and shocked not only him but everyone in the area.

'I wish you'd stayed lost forever.' Midnight muttered, which made the other dragons shocked while Mira gasped as Midnight rushed off and away from them in despair.

"Midnight! Wait!" Hicca called out for her dragon when she ran off back to the flower meadow.

Toothless then followed after his mate as the others watched from behind. "What did she say?" Astrid asked Mira in wonder.

"I'd rather not repeat it," Mira answered with a cringe.

"Yikes, that bad." Hiccup said with a sympathetic look.

"Sheesh, talk about a family fuss." Heather said with a winced expression. "And I know how that feels."

"Amen to that, sister." Henry said in agreement since he and Heather had complicated family problems.

Hicca then turned to Stoick, who had a heartbroken expression as she walked up to him. "You may not be able to trust all humans, but you should trust your daughter. Because we know what it's like when parents won't listen to us. And it hurts." She started with a sad look. "You should put more trust in your daughter since she knows us best. And you trusted me, so why can't you trust my tribe? I get it, Grimmel hurt you and separated you from Midnight, but that's not going to work out well if you keep neglecting how she feels instead of trying to push her away from the things she cared the most. The least you could do is give those willing to change a chance." She said as she walked off, leaving Stoick deep in thought while he looked at Moona and Daybreak, the latter shaking her head in disappointment as he looked down in sadness.

"Talk about family drama. Not how I pictured it," Ruffnut commented with her arms crossed as the others turned to her.

"Speaking of which, how did you escape Grimmel, Ruff?" Astrid asked in wonder, getting to the topic on how Ruffnut is here.

"Yeah, weren't you captured?" Henry asked while scratching his head.

"I annoyed them till they let me go." Ruffnut said while spinning her braids while the others were surprised.

Hiccup's eyes widened. "Wai-wait… Grimmel let you go?"

"Just like that?" Hicca asked as well.

"So dumb," Ruffnut laughed.

The Haddock twins, Henry, Astrid, Heather, and Mira, looked at one another and they both knew that there was no way Grimmel would just let her go.

"They couldn't handle me," Ruffnut continued. "See, everyone thinks Tuffnut's more annoying but—"

"But hold on," said Astrid quickly.

"Just stay quiet for a few seconds," Heather pleaded.

"My brother doesn't just let his prey go without a reason." Mira said in worry.

Ruffnut frowned. "Why? Don't tell me you think that I'm more annoying than Tuff—"

"Ruffnut! Focus. Just answer our question!" Hicca ordered.

"Were you followed?" Hiccup asked.

Ruffnut smiled. "I never look back, guys."

The others' eyes widen in fear, mostly the Haddock Twins and Mira. "Toothless and Midnight!" The Haddock twins exclaimed in horror while the five cubs looked in fear.

"We need to get to that meadow! Now!" Mira exclaimed as the Riders all ran towards the meadow while the Pride stood where they were while Stoick was in deep thought and the five cubs glared at him for his mistake for what just happened.

In the Meadow, Midnight sat alone near the edge as she looked at the horizon ahead as her tears fell from her eyes as she tried to keep herself together. 'Why? Why couldn't he just give them a chance?' She moaned.

'You know he only wanted to protect you, right?' Toothless' voice is heard as Midnight turns and sees his mate walking towards her. 'Even after getting blasted by lightning and a few hard ones, I can tell he only wants what's best for you, but has a hard time knowing what that is."

'Are you seriously taking his side?' Midnight asked with a touch of anger while looking away.

'I'm not taking sides,' Toothless said gently, 'I'm speaking as a father who also spent a lifetime wondering where his kids are,'

Midnight snorted and continued to look away, 'Well, you wouldn't know what it's like having an overprotective father,' She hissed.

Toothless looked down solemnly, 'You're right. I wouldn't even know what it's like to have a father period.' He warbled.

Midnight then remembered what Toothless told her of his father and immediately regretted her comment, 'Oh gods, Toothless I'm so sorry I didn't mean to…' She warbled in guilt.

'No, it's okay, really…' Toothless assured but still looked sad. 'Truthfully, I hardly remember my father other than how he loved me and was willing to protect me from danger. But, that's pretty much it. I guess I really don't know what it felt like,' He moaned as he looked down. 'But at least you had a father and a whole family while I just had my mother. And well, you and our cubs as well,' He said with a small dragon-like smile.

Midnight cracked a small smile of her own before she gave a frown. 'Why can't life ever be easy, Toothless? I mean, we spent years thinking that we were the last of our kind, but here they are, right in the woods. Yet, my father won't even give their trust in humans a try and wanted to push them away.' She warbled softly.

'It can be hard to even gain the trust of a human,' Toothless said to her. 'I mean, we were the same when we met Hiccup and Hicca six years ago and it took some time for us to trust them.'

'Yeah, but, still, my father is way too stubborn to even take the words of his own daughter. And willing to kill you just to because of your loyalty to Hiccup.' Midnight warbled with a look as Toothless suddenly perked up. 'Seriously, if I had known my dad would be like the actual Stoick the Vast-'

'Shh!' Toothless hissed as he twitched his ear flaps.

'Hey, don't you shush me, Mr-' Midnight said in insult.

'Shh!' Toothless said as he looked around suspiciously, 'What was that?'

Midnight looked around for any noises as the other Riders came rushing to them. "Toothless! Midnight!" Hiccup cried out.

"Get out of there! Now!" Hicca cried as well.

Midnight was confused before her ear flaps perked up as her eyes widened in horror. 'He found us!' She exclaimed as she then flew up into the air. 'Toothless, we have to get-' She was cut off when a dart flew out of nowhere and struck her causing her to fall to the ground.

"Midnight!" Hicca yelled.

'Midnight!' Toothless quickly rushed to her aid as she was beginning to slide across the ground towards the edge of the cliff.

"Toothless! Come back!" Hiccup cried.

Toothless didn't appear to be listening as he continued to run towards Midnight. Then Grimmel appeared from behind a rock raising his crossbow. Toothless got ready to fire a plasma blast, but Grimmel was too fast and fired one of his darts knocking him unconscious.

"No!" Hiccup cried.

"Stay away from them!" Hicca added.

Grimmel then began to chain both Toothless and Midnight Midnight up just before the Haddock Twins could get to him. Then his airship appeared lifting both dragons into the air just as Astrid, Henry, Heather, Mira, and Ruffnut joined him.

"Grimmel!" Mira yelled with her fist clenching.

"Now our little game must come to an end," Grimmel said.

Then flying out of the forest were all of Berk's dragons rushing to rescue their Alphas.

"Call them off, Alpha Male!" said Grimmel as he aimed a crossbow directly at Midnight. "No reason for her to die, too!"

Toothless saw the dragons flying towards him and immediately roared. 'Stop! All of you! Stand down!' They instantly followed his command just as the rest of the Riders appeared on the scene.

"What are they doing?" Snotlout said on confusion. "They could totally take him!"

"Not with Midnight's life on the line," Hicca pointed out in worry.

"With Midnight in danger, Toothless can't do anything unless it involves the life of his mate!" Hiccup started.

"That scum weasel!" Raeda growled with a clenched of her fist.

Toothless roared up at Grimmel's Deathgrippers flying around him. 'You dragons are Grimmel's slaves! You have to fight him! You don't need to listen to him!' However, they nearly threatened him and showed no ounce of loyalty.

"Save your breath!" said Grimmel. "The only Alpha they respond to is me!"

Toothless gave up and looked down at the Haddock Twins in worry.

"Awww, don't feel too badly," Grimmel said to the two twins. "You both tried your best! But, you two are nothing without your dragons."

"Brother, you'll pay for this!" Mira yelled loudly with rage. "All this trouble just to kill?! You really have become a monster!"

"Oh, but I will do what I can to achieve my goal sister. And even with some help, you can't possibly handle all these dragons and stop me. And the Dragon Riders are without their dragons, so it appears I win," Grimmel said with a smirk, which made Mira growl as he then whistled causing his Deathgrippers to fly to the other dragons and prevent them from flying past them. Grimmel then flew away and Toothless urged the other dragons to follow him anyway.

Toothless looked at Midnight in great concern as she still felt a bit dizzy from the dart as Toothless gave a determined expression and another roar, which Grimmel thought was the command roar for the dragons to keep following, but it was for something else that Grimmel didn't know about as Midnight recognized that roar as she gave a weak smile.

The dragons followed the command of their Alphas and the Haddock twins ran toward the edge of the cliff.

"Toothless!" Hiccup cried.

"Midnight!" Hicca yelled out as they stopped the moment they reached the edge of the cliff and could only watch as the dragons flew away down towards the massive armada of ships in the sea. Hiccup and Hicca then began pacing up and down looking frustrated.

"Oh, that is just… ugh, great!" said Tuffnut. "Now what?"

"I think it's time for number two to become number one," Snotlout said pushing Eret's arm away from him.

"Can you shut up for once?!" Henry questioned in complete frustration. "Now's not the time for that! Or any time for that matter!"

Raeda then turned to Mira. "Is there anything we can do to stop him?" She pleaded.

Mira looked down in thought while trying to think of a way. "I'm trying to think of a plan, but my brother now has all the cards that even I don't know what to do yet. With him having the king and queen of dragons, all dragons are in danger." She said while looking anxious.

"Go." Valka said to Henry and Astrid while gesturing to her children. "They'll listen to you two."

"You really think they will after what just happened?" Henry asked.

"If there's one thing I've learned, is that lovers always listen to each other and comfort them," Valka assured them with a smile, knowing from experience with Stoick.

Henry and Astrid looked at each other and nodded to Valka before they walked over to the Haddock Twins, who were still pacing before they saw their respective lovers coming towards them.

"Henry, Astrid. Don't." Hicca spoke first.

"Don't say it." Hiccup added.

"We weren't going to," Astrid and Henry said with their arms up in surrender.

"But we know what you two were going to say," Hicca said in sadness.

"We shouldn't have dragged you guys, Mira, and Heather out there." Hiccup continued. "They wouldn't have flown us back. They wouldn't have followed." He stated.

"And we shouldn't have gone after Grimmel so soon and left Ruffnut behind." Hicca added. "If we hadn't he wouldn't have found us so soon,"

"Yep." Astrid nodded.

"Sounds about right," Henry added in agreement.

"Aah!" Hiccup yelled in frustration. "We feel like the same Village Screw-ups we were before we met Toothless and Midnight."

"It's like we're back in the days of the Dragon Wars again!" Hicca cried out in frustration. "As if we're stuck in a full cycle!

"We can see that." Astrid said as Henry nodded.

The Haddock twins stopped and looked at them. "Are you two just gonna stand there and agree with everything?"

"If you're trying to cheer us up, you're doing a pretty lousy job," Hicca commented dully.

Henry and Astrid smirked, "Oh, we're not trying to cheer you up, we're gonna tell you what you doing wrong," Astrid, surprising the Haddock Twins.

"What?!" The twins said, turning to them.

"You're giving up to easily," Henry said bluntly as the Haddock twins frowned at him, "Hey, you made me captain of the guard, that means tough love," He explained while bumping Hiccup's chest.

"How is that any better than our current situation?" Hicca questioned with a look.

"Well, it's because you both are right." Astrid said to them. "You two are back where you started. "I was the first of us to believe in you two, not counting Raeda since she was always there for you. And I have watched you both doubt whether you're worthy ever since. But you know what… I am the person I am today because of you two. I never told any of you that, but it's true. You are the bravest, most stubborn, most determined… knuckleheads I know. Especially you Hiccup."

"And you guys were there when you found me with my other dragons before finding the Dragon Eye and fighting the Dragon Hunters," Henry said to them. "At first, I thought I had to run away from my father's corruption because I was afraid and wanted to look after myself. But then I met you Riders, especially you, Hicca." He added as the Haddock Twins turned to them. "When I first joined you, I was distant, but over time, I've seen how brave and determined you guys are and went up against many odds. You two freed countless dragons, stopped others from abusing or controlling them, shut down my father's operations, heck, you even faced Drago and his Bewilderbeast. And some of those times are without your dragons."

"Toothless and Midnight didn't give you that, guys." Astrid added with a smile. "They just made it—"

"Easier," Both Haddock finished.

"And now it's gonna be a lot harder," Henry stated while holding Hicca's shoulder, "But just because you're without your dragons, doesn't mean your not without us,"

Astrid nodded and looked at Hiccup. "So… what are you two gonna do about it?"

Hiccup shrugged. "Probably something stupid."

"And crazy." Hicca added with a shrug as well. "Whatcha expect?"

"Now that's the girl I'm gonna marry," Henry said proudly.

"Not before me," Astrid said, giving him a bump, "How can we help,"

"You already have," Hiccup said, giving Astrid a kiss.

"You helped us get our spirits up." Hicca added as she gave Henry a kiss as well. After a moment, the two Haddocks broke up from their respective lovers as they turned to the other Riders. "Alright, suit up, gang!"

"We're gonna get our dragons back and stop Grimmel!" Hiccup declared.

"What?" Fishlegs stared.

"He's lost his mind," Ruffnut groaned.

Heather folded her arms. "I was waiting for you to say that." She said eagerly.

"I'm always with you guys until the end," Raeda said with a fond smile.

"Now that's marriage material," said Tuffnut hugging him. "At last, faithful pupil, you are ready."

The three of them then nodded to one another, though the Haddock Twins mainly did it to humor him.

"Umm. How are we gonna get our dragons back… without dragons?" Fishlegs asked.

"Trust us," Hiccup said with a smile.

"We won't need them," Hicca added before looking to Stoick, who was the only dragon not affected by Toothless's call, "As for you Stoick, you are gonna swallow your pride, help us get to Grimmel's fleet, rescue our dragons, and I promise you that I'll make sure that that man never bothers you again, deal?" She said, holding out her hand to his snout.

Stoick looked at Hicca for a moment before turning to the other Dragon Riders, who were all willing to risk their lives for their dragons before remembering his daughter's words about giving humans the chance, which he didn't that led him for his daughter and many dragons to their doom as he looked down at Hicca and slowly placed her hand on his snout as he gave a purr, which made Hicca smiled.

"He's willing to help us." Hicca said to her friends with a proud smile.

"But, uh, he's just one dragon." Dagur pointed out. "Even if he's a Titan-Wing, how will we handle a massive fleet of Trappers?"

Then coming out of the bushes were Toothless and Midnight's five cubs, Daybreak, Moona, Valkyrie, and the rest of the Night Fury Pride as the five cubs went up to Hiccup and Hicca, both giving determined expressions to save their parents while the rest of the Pride gave mighty roars, which made the Riders looked in awed.

"I believe that just answers your question." Heather said in amazement.

"So, we're all going to ride these Furies and take the fight to them?" Valerie asked with an excited smile. "This is gonna be awesome!"

"Oh, we won't be flying on them." Hicca said with a smirk.

"We're all flying, not on dragons, but with the dragons." Hiccup added with a determined expression, which made the others confused by that.

"Uh, you lost me." Snotlout said in confusion.

"Trust us, we're gonna fly straight into battle, together." Hiccup said as Hicca nodded, the Riders were not sure what the Haddock Twins were thinking, but they'd follow their lead.

"They truly are the greatest Vikings in the world," Mira said with a proud smile.

"This is gonna be one epic battle of all times." Raeda said with a proud smile.

"You said it, Rae." Snotlout added in agreement as the Riders quickly grabbed their gears to prepare for their final fight with the Trappers to rescue their dragons and stop Grimmel once and for all and save their dragons from their fate.
