Rory drove to her apartment feeling sort of numb. She tried and tried to reconcile what had just happened. She had so many questions that she was probably never going to get answers for. Exactly how long had he been cheating on her? Was he sleeping with that woman while he was sleeping with Rory? Did the woman know about Rory? And mostly... how could he do that to her? She knew that she was trying to figure out what to do about their relationship and if/how to end it, but what he did was much worse. He literally betrayed her. She decided to FedEx his engagement ring to her apartment on Monday. She had no use for it and she didn't want any reminders of him. But now she had this wedding to cancel. She also had to tell her grandparents. Emily never should have sent out the engagement announcement in the first place! Ugh!

She took her time bathing, doing her makeup and her hair. She put together an overnight bag with a dress and shoes for dinner, men's style pajamas, and casual clothes for the following day. She dressed in jeans, a Henley shirt, a hoodie and her Converse from the morning.

She decided to call Finn to RSVP.

"Love! What's up?" he answered in an overly jovial voice.

She sighed, "Hey, Finn. I'm calling to tell you that I'll be there tonight."

"Of course you will. What else would you do tonight?" he goaded her. "When will you be here?"

"I should be there in an hour," she said.

"Rory, is everything alright? You sound different."

She smiled, "Everything is fine. See you soon."

Colin sat in the hotel bar sipping a scotch, waiting for all of the festivities to start for Finn's 'dinner party.' He knew that if Logan ever found out that this was all orchestrated and it was all a sham, there would be hell to pay. So either they had to make sure he never found out or the payoff would have to be worth it.

It dawned on Colin that none of them had ever spent a fraction of the effort to find HIM a date, including himself. BUT it was Rory. Rory had been like family to all of them and they all wanted her back. Except Robert - Robert always had a thing for Rory and Robert wanted her for himself. Even though Robert only got as far as kissing Rory's cheek, he loved to remind Logan that he also dated Rory.

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Rory walk in and look around with a timid stance. Because of her 'deer in headlights' look, he went over to her. He hugged her and kissed her cheek. "Rory! You came!"

"Of course I came. I haven't been to one of Finn's parties in years. I wonder if Mira Sorvino will show up to this one?" she teased Colin.

"Well, she didn't show up to the last one either," he replied with a huge eye roll.

Rory giggled and nodded. "I remember."

"So, where's your fiance?" Colin pumped Rory for information.

"Well," Rory began, "He's not my fiance anymore."

Colin was very surprised and asked, "No?"

"Nope!" she replied popping the P in nope.

"The last time I saw you, you were wearing a big diamond and happy as a clam," he began.

"And the last time I saw you, I didn't know he was cheating on me," she said with a frown.

"Oh, damn. Sorry to hear that. That sucks," Colin said honestly. "I've been there."

"Yeah? Stewart cheated on you too?" she mocked Colin.

"No. Fuck! You know what I meant..." he said slightly annoyed with her. He cleared his throat and asked, "When did you find out?"

"A couple hours ago actually. I really wish I'd found out before my grandmother felt the need to announce our engagement to the public," Rory rolled her eyes at the very idea.

"Ahhhh, another casualty of the DAR, eh?" he asked with a knowing nod.

She nodded, "Exactly."

"Just go to the front desk and give them your name. They will get you checked in and your room key. Its all set up."

"Thanks, Kind Sir. I'll see you later," she said as she put her bag over her shoulder.

"Come down twenty minutes early and join me for a drink? I'm going to need one to deal with some of Finn's other friends at this soiree." Colin offered.

"Good idea. I'll see you then!" Rory went to the desk to get her key and retreat to her room.

Colin immediately text Finn, "I know something you don't know!"

Finn text him back right away, "Fuck off. You know nothing."

Colin shrugged and shook his head.

Just then, Logan walked in the front door.

"Logan!" Colin waved Logan over and they shared a bro-hug.

"Hey! Its been too long. How ya been?" Logan asked his friend.

"I'm good, just wondering what this party is all about. The last time he threw a dinner party, it turned into a murder mystery party," Colin complained.

Logan groaned. "Ugh. That sounds bad."

"You don't know the half of it. He gave the murdered a real gun instead of a toy gun and things escalated quickly," Colin explained.

"Fuck! Someone could have gotten killed!" Logan exclaimed.

"Yeah, no shit. I was the one who got killed. That fucker almost got me shot!" Colin shook his head.

Logan chuckled to himself, "Well, I guess I'm sorry I missed that?"

Colin rolled his eyes, "Yeah, I'm sure."

Logan asked Colin, "So who else is coming to this?"

Colin seriously wished someone would pull a fire alarm or something so that he didn't have to lie to Logan. Instead, he decided to divert his attention elsewhere. "Dude, did you see the game last night?" Quick, he thought, think of a game. Any game.

Logan asked, "Which game?"

"Um, hockey," he replied too quickly.

Logan narrowed his eyes and stared at Colin, "I don't think its hockey season right now,"

Colin decided to think fast, "The, um, exhibition charity game..."

"Oh, no... I didn't realize..." Logan was cut off as Finn ran through the bar wearing a tuxedo made of neon orange velvet.
