Heroes vs Villains - Final Words Extended

Chapter 9 - Ridley

"The main positive thing about this is that I did not leave earlier, nor did I leave in the exact same placement as I did in Caribbean. Three days longer. Not that much, but it's still an accomplishment. Though obviously I have so many questions of how they were handling this situation. But hey, I am not one to be bitter. If it was my time to go, it was my time to go. But I just don't understand peoples' way of thinking at all on this. I don't think I should be the one going home tonight. Hero Four was just right there, and nobody did anything about it."

"So in case you can't already tell, when there is an obvious alliance that seems to have control of the game, and if I see people in that alliance that have the disadvantage,... know that they have the disadvantage,... and then just sit there like nothing's wrong,.. that is just mind boggling to me. Springtrap, Plague Knight, and Wolf were aligned with them and Shadow, but I got rid of Shadow last time putting those three at a disadvantage in the first place. Tonight was their golden opportunity to flip, but they simply didn't knowing the consequences of sticking with the Hero Four... Simply what is their thought process behind this, because in a perfect world, I would have been safe tonight. I'm gonna blame it all on Vector, because I feel like people are gonna be once again letting him get away with this, and he's gonna make it far in the game again. That's something they're all gonna have to live with. But hey, at least I kinda grew and I've outdone myself. It is what it is."

"Between Caribbean and Heroes vs Villains, I ended up learning a few new things about myself. Everyone that has seen Caribbean can say that Meta Knight was a great help and all. I would say I wouldn't be who I am today without him, because that would imply that I am a changed man... But I'm not. No one changes overnight. Though when I feel like I've made enough progress, that's something I can appropriately say. This season people have grown fond of me more, while at the same time tolerating my strategic ways. I feel bad for leaving all of my allies behind. I have gained the respect of people like Bowser and surprisingly Ryu, and I appreciate that. Hopefully those two in particular can last long."

Ridley ended up being one of my all time favorite people to write in this series upon his exit. He was a major villain in his first season, but then he turned into one of the main castaways to experience personal growth and that started during his first season run. And in all honesty, if Meta Knight never got through to him, he wouldn't have even thought about changing until his second season where he continued to learn a couple things.

It's really a bummer that Ridley never made a deep run in either of his season, but both times he played it seems he made some sort of impact. I'd love to have him back once again, but nine times out of ten he'll have a giant target his back and people will be more provoked to eliminate him earlier due to him always being a problem of some sort lol.

But if you enjoyed Ridley, my poll is still open!
