A/N: Slightly spicier content in this chapter. Nothing explicit, just a little warning!

A few days into their Asgardian honeymoon, Asta and Loki were laying in a tangle. A breeze blew through the room and she shivered a bit. Suddenly, she had a thought. She began to ponder just how to ask him.

"Darling," he said, interrupting her considerations. "I don't even have to be a mind reader to know that something is consuming your thoughts. What is it?"

"Well, can I ask you a personal question?"

Loki laughed. "My love, we're married now and considering the things we just did to each other, I think that's a request you need not ask."

Asta gave a light laugh as well. "Alright then. Would you… tell me more about your Jotun side?"

He stiffened a bit. "Is there something that concerns you anew about it?"

"No! Not in the least! But, there's this whole part of you that I know nothing about. And I love every bit of you."

His face turned down. "Perhaps not that part. Not the monster."

"Loki, we've talked about that. You're not a monster! And I do love every part of you. I love the playful little prince that would tell stories to me under the piletre. (willow tree) I love the moody prince that finally took control of his own life. I love the sorcerer god that likes to show off. I love the brother and son who would do anything for his family. And I love the husband who does nothing but shower me with love and passion. Why wouldn't I want to love your other heritage?"

"You certainly have a way with words, my darling. But moody prince?" Asta raised an eyebrow. Loki continued, "Very well. What would you like to know? Bear in mind, the little I have learned has just been from books and my own few experiences. I truly know nothing of actual Jotun life."

"Well, that's fair. I suppose just tell me what you do know. Does it feel different?"

"A little. When I drop the spell and return to my Jotun form, I feel colder, but not in a bad way."

"Can I… can I see it again? Are you comfortable with that?"

Loki chuckled. "Here I am, lying naked in your arms, and suddenly I feel even more vulnerable."

"If you don't want to—"

"No, my dove. I think I truly want to. But there are only 4 people in all the realms that have ever seen me like that. Even having shown you before, and knowing how safe I am with you, it still makes me a little apprehensive. But I want to show you. You're right. You should know all sides of me."

And with a deep breath, Loki let his magic fade. His blue skin and markings became visible and he grew a bit taller. He closed his eyes tightly.

"Well?" he asked so quietly Asta barely heard him.

"I think this is my favorite shade of blue," she replied.

"Really?"

"Yes, really. It's beautiful. Now, open those eyes. You don't have to hide them."

Slowly, very slowly, Loki opened his eyes, revealing the ruby red color.

Asta smiled. "Now was that so hard? You look stunning."

"I highly doubt—"

"Hey, I'm serious. Have I ever lied to you?"

"No."

"Then why would I start now?" She ran a finger along one of the ridges on his chest. "Do you know what these mean? Are they all different?"

"To my knowledge, each Jotun has their own pattern, like a snowflake. There are no two alike. But I do believe that certain markings represent the different clans. I don't know which ones are which, but I would have received something that combines patterns from Laufey and Farbauti. My brothers would have had the same combined design."

Asta chose to not comment about his biological brothers. "I see. Do you know why you have red eyes?"

"Unfortunately, no. I never did find that information. I saw a theory concerning better night vision considering that Jotunheim is quite dark, but I don't know if that holds any credence."

He took a deep breath and looked into Asta's eyes. She smiled warmly at him and he tilted his head. "None of this frightens you." It wasn't a question, but a statement. He was still shocked.

"No, it doesn't. You are still my husband. Still the man who vowed to always love me and take care of me. I love you. Always."

"You are a remarkable woman, Asta Laufeyson."

She crinkled her eyebrows in thought and he returned the gesture in confusion.

"Now what's going through that pretty mind?" he asked.

"I was just wondering… what does… all of you look like?" She blushed deeply, so it wasn't difficult for him to know what she meant.

"All of me?" he replied with a wicked grin.

"Oh you heard me!"

"Very well. My wife wants to see all of me."

He slowly pulled the sheet away and she tried to hide her obvious staring, but it wasn't working.

"Like what you see, pet?"

Asta involuntarily shivered. "Well…"

Loki looked down. "Is that a bad well?"

"No! Certainly not! It also has… ridges."

He smirked a bit. "I suppose it does. I've never really paid much attention. I rarely allow myself to look like this, so I've never given it much thought."

"Hmmm…" she said before biting her lip.

He chuckled. "Perhaps this form isn't so bad if it puts you into a daze like this."

Her eyes shot up to his. "Oh hush! You can't blame a wife for admiring her husband's… form."

"No, I suppose I can't. The question is, what shall we do about your admiration?"

"Well, I can think of a few things."

"Oh, do tell."

"I'd much rather show." And she leaned up to kiss him passionately. He was so caught up in her that he didn't even think of his current form. He just wanted to love his wife.

She began to roll to her back, but his wits returned a bit. "No, love," he said as he rolled the other way and had her sitting astride him. "I want you in control of this. Especially if it's too big for you."

Asta tilted her head a bit. "You loved saying that, didn't you?"

"A little, yes."

"Well, I suppose we'll never know if we don't give it a try," she whispered before bending down to kiss him.

As they laid together in another tangle, Loki tucked a lock of hair behind Asta's ear. He had returned to his Asgardian form.

"You really are amazing, my beautiful one. No one else could have made me feel such a way. To actually not see the monster."

Asta smiled. "Well, that's what I'm here for. To let you know that you are so very loved. And that you are just the man I will love forever."

"I'll never know what I did to deserve you."

"Ok, we're teetering close to speech that is not allowed. No self-deprecation in my presence, sir."

"Fine, fine. What if I praise my gorgeous wife instead?"

She put a dramatic hand to her forehead. "Oh, if you must."

"My wife is the most beautiful, caring, thoughtful, brilliant, sexy, and amazing woman in any realm. She is perfection."

"You know, I've thought the same things about my husband. What a pair!"

Asta yawned then and Loki smiled.

"Well, my darling, it seems I've finally worn you out. Shall we retire for the night?"

"Yes, I think that's a good idea." She kissed him sweetly and snuggled in close. "Good night. I love you."

"As I love you. Good night," he replied as he magically turned off the lights.
