With the new matchup, Grim was training in the hotel gym in preparation for his opponent, who happened to be a professional wrestler. The martial artist in him couldn't help but scoff at the idea of facing a female opponent who was perceived as nothing more than an entertainer. However, despite his initial skepticism, the warrior within him could only see this as another opponent to defeat on his journey to the top.

"Don't you dare underestimate her," Samara added, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging their opponent's capabilities.

'I know, Samara. I don't intend to.' Grim acknowledged, understanding the significance of respecting his female opponent despite his initial skepticism.

Ron joined Grim in the gym to spar and assist him with his fight preparation. Although Ron specialized in striking techniques through shoot boxing, he also possessed some grappling skills from his training in Combat Sambo under their commander.

Dunnan, too, was present, overseeing the training session to ensure the men didn't push themselves too hard and to provide necessary guidance.

Grim's attention was drawn to someone he knew shouldn't be in the gym. It was Christie, dressed in gym attire consisting of a short top and shorts that revealed a significant amount of skin. Her appearance caused other men in the gym to whip their heads around to catch a glimpse of her, often receiving a slap from their significant others in the process.

Grim discreetly signaled to Ron that a potential threat was present in the gym. Ron, having observed the reactions of the other men to Christie's presence, understood the implication.

Meanwhile, Dunnan couldn't help but feel envious of Christie, whose alluring physique seemed to make her own self-image feel inadequate. Sensing Dunnan's envy, Grim reassured her, saying, "Ignore the damn bimbo, Dunnan. You're a much better sight for my eyes than her." This reassurance brought a smile to Dunnan's face and made her feel happier.

Unfortunately, Christie overheard Grim referring to her as a "bimbo." Although she managed to maintain her composure, she couldn't help but feel offended by being labeled with such a degrading term. 'Bimbo?! Me?!' Christie's calm facade temporarily vanished, and her anger flaring up before calming herself. 'Oh, I will get you for that, you brat! Just you wait.' She would get even for that. Much later.

Grim observed the intense feminine fury radiating from Christie, yet it didn't bother him. In fact, he welcomed her anger. He understood the potential advantage of provoking her, wanting to push her to show her true intentions sooner rather than later.

"And why is that?!" Samara demanded, questioning Grim's motive. "Ever heard the saying, 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned'?"

'To prompt her to reveal her hand sooner rather than later,' Grim responded calmly. 'I know she intends to target either Ron, Dunnan, or both to get to me, if not directly confront me.'

Samara gave him a skeptical look. "Uh huh... You're going off the rocker, brat," she deadpanned, unconvinced by Grim's strategy.

'You'll see in the long run Samara.' Grim assured her.

In the midst of preparing for her upcoming fight against the fearsome freestyle fighter Grim, Tina was focused on honing her skills. However, her father, Bass, walked into the training area, clearly driven by a mix of fatherly concern and a deep-rooted disdain for Grim.

"Dad?! What brings you here?" Tina asked, caught off guard by his unexpected presence.

Bass replied, his tone determined, "To help you prepare for your match against that punk Grim. I couldn't sit idly by knowing you're facing such a formidable opponent."

Tina's response came almost dismissively, as she tried to convey her self-assurance. "Well, thanks, Dad, but I've got it covered. I've been training hard, and I'm confident in my abilities."

Bass sighed, his concern evident. "I know you're talented, Tina, but Grim is no pushover. As much as I don't like him his ruthless fighting style and unpredictability makes him a tough opponent to battle. I just want to make sure you have every advantage possible."

Tina appreciated her father's concern, knowing it came from a place of love and protectiveness. She paused her training and looked into his eyes. "I understand, Dad. I've been preparing myself both mentally and physically. I won't underestimate Grim, and I'll give it my all."

Bass sighed, his frustration with Grim evident in his voice. "I can't stand that guy, Tina. The way he fights and his attitude... he's just not someone I want to see you face. But I trust your determination and skills. Just promise me you'll stay focused and be safe."

Tina nodded, her determination unwavering. "I promise, Dad. I'll stick to my game plan and use everything I've trained for. I want to prove myself, not just to you, but to everyone who doubts me."

Bass softened a bit, realizing Tina's determination and resolve. He placed a hand on her shoulder. "I believe in you, Tina. Remember to stay true to yourself and fight with all your heart. No matter the outcome, I'll always be proud of you."

A small smile graced Tina's face, grateful for her father's support. "Thank you, Dad. Your belief in me means the world. I won't let you down."

With renewed determination, Tina and Bass continued their preparation, united in their goal of facing Grim head-on while ensuring Tina's safety and success in the fight against her dangerous opponent.

Three days later, DOA Dome locker room, 21:00hrs

Seated on the bench, Dunnan looked concerned, dressed in her usual professional attire, as she observed Ron, clad in his gym wear and hoodie, going through his final fight warm-up routines alongside Grim. Grim stood bare-chested, wearing long black Vale Tudo trunks adorned with a red eagle logo, and red gloves. His face displayed nothing but unwavering focus for the imminent battle.

Samara, also present in the mindscape, watched attentively, offering her insights to the ongoing conversation. "Are you still planning to use the Eagle Blitz in this match? You didn't really use it in your last fight, and your opponent is a grappler who likely won't engage in striking exchanges with you."

"I doubt it," Grim responded confidently. "She's seen my previous matches, and I anticipate her avoiding striking exchanges. I am fully prepared to showcase my grappling skills and demonstrate that even in her realm, she's not on my level."

Interrupting their conversation, there was a knock on the door. "Mr. Grim, it's almost time for your match!" a voice called out.

"Alright," Grim Eagle acknowledged.

Ron, brimming with excitement, approached Grim. "It's time. Are you ready for this, bro?"

"Yes, I am," Grim affirmed, his tone determined. "It's game time."

Dunnan walked up beside Grim, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Please be careful, Grim. Take care of yourself both physically and mentally. Don't overdo it."

Unexpectedly, Grim did something that caught Dunnan off guard. He hugged her, causing her to gasp, while Ron's eyes nearly popped out in surprise.

"Don't worry, Dunnan," Grim reassured her with a grin, as they separated. "I'll make sure to come back, one way or another."

With a determined expression, Grim turned and made his exit from the room, leaving behind a sense of unwavering determination as he embarked on his path towards the upcoming fight.

Ron managed to recover from his initial disbelief, his voice filled with surprise. "Um... did Grim just..."

Dunnan, with a knowing smile, finished his sentence for him. "Hug me? Yes, yes he did."

The unexpected gesture from Grim left both Ron and Dunnan momentarily stunned, trying to process the rare display of affection from their typically stoic and focused companion.

Tina sat on the bench, clad in her pro wrestling attire. She wore a black sports bra and briefs, complemented by a silver vest, detached fringed sleeves, and fringed cowgirl boots. Despite her nerves threatening to overwhelm her, she remained focused, determined to give her best performance in the upcoming match. She found solace in knowing her father would be in the crowd, supporting her and the additional help he provided during her preparations.

A voice called out from outside her room, signaling her turn was approaching. Tina's adrenaline surged as she stood up, taking a deep breath to steady herself. "Okay!" she replied with determination. "It's showtime!"

Embracing the excitement and nerves, Tina steeled herself for the performance that awaited her, ready to showcase her skills and leave an indelible impression on the audience.

The arena buzzed with excitement as the spectators eagerly anticipated the clash between the next fighters in the tournament. Tina Armstrong, known as the "Superstar of Women's Wrestling," prepared to face off against Grim Eagle, who had gained the nicknames "The Avenging Apex" and "The Ruthless Raptor" from the astonished audience, much to the surprise of Dunnan and Ron.

From the stands, Christie murmured in agreement with the spectators' choice of nickname. She found "Ruthless Raptor" to be a fitting moniker for Grim Eagle's fierce and relentless fighting style. The Mugen Tenshin ninjas and the Super Ninja also recognized the suitability of these names for such a formidable and determined individual.

Tina made her entrance onto the arena floor, exuding a vibrant and extroverted demeanor. She reveled in the adoration of the fans and other spectators, accompanied by an energizing rock music track. Her enthusiasm was palpable as she soaked in the atmosphere, ready to put on a show.

Shortly after, Grim Eagle made his flashy entrance, engulfed in black flames, accompanied by a foreboding rap song. He landed in a crouch, then rose to his feet, maintaining unwavering focus on his opponent. Tina, undeterred, showed only focused determination on her face.

"Are you ready to put on a show, Grim? I know I'm ready to rumble!" Tina declared, her excitement evident.

Grim smirked in response, cracking his knuckles. "Indeed I am. I'm going to bring the house down in this match."

Tina's excitement intensified as she shivered in response to Grim's words. "Oh, I like that! I really like that! Yeah! This fight's going to be hot!" She said getting into her stance.

Grim, embracing the charged atmosphere, confidently affirmed, "You've got that right." With a flick of his wrist, black flames materialized in his left hand, showcasing his formidable power. As the flames danced in his palm, he closed his hand into a fist, extinguishing them with a sense of controlled strength before jumping into his fighting posture with lowered hands in Southpaw stance.

GET READY…FIGHT!

The fiery match commenced as Grim lunged forward, swiftly closing the gap between him and Tina within seconds. Caught off guard, Tina instinctively raised her guard as she was sent flying back by the forceful impact of Grim's flying overhead kick. The spectators watched in awe as the freestyle fighter's power sent Tina sliding several feet away.

Regaining her composure, Tina cautiously peered through her guard, only to let out a squeak of shock as Grim swiftly closed in again, launching a relentless barrage of punches and kicks in the style of Dutch kickboxing. Forced onto the defensive, Tina skillfully evaded the strikes, but her counterattacks failed to find their mark. Nonetheless, her retaliation had the desired effect of momentarily forcing Grim to retreat, albeit still within striking range.

Anticipating Grim's next assault, Tina swiftly aimed for a takedown, targeting his legs. However, Grim swiftly countered with an explosive sprawl, thwarting Tina's attempt. To compound matters, he followed up with a punishing leg kick, striking her thigh with precision, causing her to spin from the impact.

'Alright. That was too soon.' Tina thought in acknowledgement of her failed takedown. 'I'll need to change the timing on the next attempt.'

Tina bounced on the outside, searching for an opening to gain an advantage. With determination, she rushed in with a lariat, but Grim skillfully ducked under the attack and countered with a powerful left hook, causing Tina to back off momentarily. Grim inched forward, ready to maintain his dominance.

Closing the distance again, Tina launched a combination of strikes that unfortunately missed their mark. Seizing the opportunity, Grim attempted to punish her, but Tina swiftly changed levels and executed a takedown, bringing Grim to the ground. Bass, cheered for his daughter, joined by Lei Fang, who still held a grudge from her previous loss to Grim.

Despite Tina's brief moment of victory with the takedown, her respite was short-lived as Grim swiftly transitioned to attempting to secure an armbar on her. Tina put up a valiant fight, nearly escaping, but found herself caught in a triangle choke. She fought with every ounce of her strength, struggling to break free, and managed to avoid the submission, only to find herself in an omoplata. This time, however, she successfully escaped the hold.

"What the?! He has Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?!" Tina thought, a hint of worry creeping into her mind. The realization that Grim possessed skills in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu added a layer of complexity to the fight and increased the challenge she faced.

"Impressive. He's skilled in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu," Bayman commented, clearly impressed by this new revelation about Grim's fighting abilities.

An annoyed Bass interjected, "So what about it?! It doesn't mean anything!"

"It means that your daughter has an even bigger problem in this fight," Bayman replied, emphasizing the significance of Grim's skill set.

"It still doesn't matter. She has this covered," Bass defended his daughter with unwavering confidence.

However, the doubt was palpable among everyone except Lei Fang. They couldn't help but question whether Tina truly had everything under control.

Hitomi, feeling concerned for both Tina and Grim, believed that this fight was only going to further complicate things, sensing the impending challenges and the potential consequences they could bring.

Now on their feet, Grim closed in with another combination of Dutch kickboxing strikes, forcing Tina to cover up and defend herself. He then moved in for the clinch and expertly outside tripped Tina back to the ground. Despite Tina's efforts to stand, Grim repeatedly took her down, maintaining control and applying relentless pressure. Tina rolled and briefly gained top position, but Grim swiftly transitioned to a triangle choke, pulling her head down. Tina rolled onto her back, attempting to escape, and Grim transitioned to an armbar. Tina, displaying resilience, managed to escape the submission, and returned to her feet, with Grim in pursuit.

Undeterred, Tina pressed forward herself, determined to turn the tide in her favor. However, Grim countered with a left hook and closed the distance, Tina fired off a kick but Grim changes levels and executes a single leg takedown. Tina, displaying her resilience, reversed the position and escaped. She threw a straight right at Grim, but he adeptly avoided the blow and clipped her with a cross counter. Grim swiftly tied Tina up and slipped behind her, slamming her back to the floor with a German suplex. Delivering knees to her body, Grim maintained control. Despite Tina's efforts to stand, she was repeatedly taken down by Grim's dominant grappling.

"She's getting dominated," Lei Fang muttered in shock, unable to hide her surprise at Tina's struggle in the fight.

"What were you expecting?" Jann Lee responded with a deadpan expression. "You're only supporting Tina because you still can't accept your loss against Grim."

"N-No! That's not true," Lei Fang quickly defended herself, feeling the need to justify her support for Tina.

"Stop lying. You're not fooling anyone," Gen Fu, the seasoned competitor, called her out, his words carrying a sense of wisdom.

"I'm with the old man," Brad Wong chimed in, showing his agreement with Gen Fu's statement.

"Hey! Why are you all ganging up on me?!" Lei Fang yelled out of frustration, feeling overwhelmed by the combined criticism.

"Because you're acting like an ass, still salty about your loss to Grim," Christie stated bluntly, her straightforwardness leaving no room for argument. "So just shut up and watch the fight!"

Lei Fang shrunk down, attempting to avoid the judgmental gazes of the annoyed competitors, realizing the validity of their points.

"Baka!" Hitomi muttered under her breath, expressing her disappointment with Lei Fang's behavior.

The fight continued, with Grim completely taking over, asserting his dominance over Tina.

'Dang it! I'm losing the fight. Worse, I'm being beaten at my own game.' Tina thought in frustration, her mind filled with disappointment and a growing sense of defeat. She had hoped to showcase her skills and dominate the match, but Grim's relentless performance had turned the tables against her.

Still, refusing to give up, Tina charged forward, launching herself with a jumping knee aimed at Grim. However, Grim swiftly reacted, catching her mid-air, and delivering a powerful slam that brought Tina crashing back down to the ground. The impact sent shockwaves of pain through her body, but Tina's determination remained unwavering. Grim postured up and unleashed savage ground and pound strikes, but Tina's effective blocking minimized the damage. Tina desperately tried to escape, but each time she got to her feet, Grim maintained his grip and swiftly brought her back down. Frustrated and fatigued, Tina found herself trapped in Grim's iron grasp, unable to find a way out. She felt like she was in the grasp of a boa constrictor.

"C'mon, Tina, you can do it," Bass silently hoped, desperately holding onto a glimmer of hope for his daughter to turn the tide of the fight. Despite the increasingly difficult situation she found herself in, Bass refused to let go of his belief in her abilities, even though deep down, he knew the chances of a comeback seemed unlikely.

Throughout the fight, Grim had exerted complete control, effortlessly executing a range of wrestling takedowns, throws, and judo trips. He showcased his expertise by expertly pulling Tina's limbs out from under her and repeatedly slamming or tripping her back into the canvas. Each move demonstrated his mastery of different techniques, leaving a lasting impression on spectators like Bayman, a practitioner of Sambo, and even Leon, who had already tasted defeat at the hands of Grim.

Tina came to a sobering realization that she had no answer for Grim's relentless grappling, but her determination remained unyielding. Despite the mounting fatigue and the overwhelming dominance of her opponent, Tina refused to give up. With sheer willpower, she managed to scramble back to her feet, impressing Grim with her unwavering resolve. However, he knew that the end was near, regardless of Tina's courageous efforts.

Grim launched another punishing combination of strikes, targeting Tina's head and body, culminating in a devastating leg kick that caused her exhausted body to stumble. Yet, once again, Tina showed her resilience, remaining on her feet and retaliating with a kick. Grim swiftly caught her leg, swiftly dropping her with a powerful straight right. Seizing the opportunity, he swiftly transitioned to a full mount position, launching a barrage of ground and pound strikes.

Tina, feeling overwhelmed, relinquished her back, allowing Grim to flatten her out and resume his relentless assault. Blow after blow rained down upon her head as she desperately tried to defend herself. Frustrated and fatigued, Tina made one final attempt to force her way up, only to find herself trapped in a tight rear-naked choke with her right arm immobilized. Her resistance futile, she realized that the end was inevitable.

Just as Tina was on the verge of blacking out, she reluctantly accepted her defeat and tapped out. With a mix of exhaustion and admiration, she muttered, "Ugh... You got me, Grim."

FINISH!

Grim released the submission hold and gracefully rose to his feet, while Tina, still recovering, managed to get to her knees.

"Thanks for the match, Tina," Grim spoke sincerely to the female pro wrestler. "Tighten up your striking, and I'll be open to a rematch." He extended a hand towards her. Tina glanced at Grim and his outstretched hand, a giggle escaping her lips. She reached out and took hold of his hand. "Sure, I'll work on it and get the rematch with you," she squeaked, feeling a blush spread across her cheeks as Grim pulled her up onto her feet and into his embrace. The physical contact left her feeling flustered but pleased.

Meanwhile, Bass, filled with rage, couldn't contain his outburst. "HEY! Get away from my daughter, you punk!" he yelled, protective instincts in full force. Dunnan, Hitomi, and Kasumi also shot angry glances at Tina, clearly not happy with her proximity to Grim.

'You hussy! Get away from my man!' Their thoughts echoed in unison, their protective instincts kicking in. They couldn't help but feel a sense of possessiveness over Grim, seeing him as "their man".

Feeling the uncomfortable tension, Grim spoke up. "Uh... can you let go of me?" he asked, clearly uneasy with the situation.

"What? You don't like it? I know I do," Tina replied, a sultry tone in her voice.

Grim, maintaining his composure, responded dryly, "More like I don't want to beat down your old man, who's about to have a meltdown in the stands."

Realizing the implications of her actions, Tina's expression shifted to one of understanding. "Oh," she uttered, releasing Grim from her embrace.

With that, Grim calmly walked away from her, saying, "Well then... see ya later, cowgirl." He then disappeared in a swirling burst of black flames, leaving Tina a blushing mess, lost in her own thoughts.

Chapter 8 End.

Grim Eagle's dominant performance against Tina Armstrong left no doubt about his prowess in grappling. He showcased his skills and ultimately submitted her, defeating her in her own game. However, as the fight concluded, Grim found himself in an unexpected situation.

Tina's flirty nature and her post-fight interaction with Grim, including physical contact and teasing remarks, raised the ire of Bass, Tina's protective father. He couldn't tolerate seeing his daughter in such close proximity to Grim, and his anger became palpable. Simultaneously, Dunnan, Hitomi, and Kasumi, for reasons known only to them, felt a strange possessiveness toward Grim. Witnessing Tina's familiarity with him ignited a sense of jealousy and protectiveness within them.

There's a lot of headache ahead for Grim Eagle.
