Act 2

Part 1

[OS-33]

Years into the future but not too many. a Haysaul wanders through the dusted ruins of a forest.

Going through each dead tree by the next, trying to find her.

she is out there, he doesn't what she looks like or even if he had met her or even know her name, but he knows that she's out there.

Haysaul has a hunch that she's going to be here.

And he suspected that the out of place tree is a clue to her location.

After flipping a switch disguised as a branch, an underground entrance reveals to him.

She must be here.

Why else would everything he's been to lead him to this point?

[OS-34]

Webby: Press enter

Pressing the Enter button on her keyboard, the girl duck worries calmed down, as the first thing he saw was Dipper, standing near the Alchemiter.

Thank all the known gods in her world. He is safe and they managed to do… something… she wasn't sure what she did.

[OS-35]

Webby: Pester Dipper

To ensure that Dipper is alright, Webby started to pester Dipper.

- GrandAdventureGirl [GA] began pestering PinesDecipher [PD] –

GA: Dipper!

GA: you're okay!

PD: yeah… I am…

GA: good thing the meteor didn't hit

GA: that means game over, right? We won!

PD: I'm not sure about that…

GA: why? What happened?

[OS-36]

Wendy spent her entire time not doing much.

That's pretty much her job, to not do much and take many breaks when she feels like it.

And since nobody has come into the gift shop, she needs to have fresh air.

Wendy stands up from her seat at the counter and walked towards the exit. She notices quickly that the sky was pink, must be late, maybe it's now closing time. Thank goodness.

But after opening the door, she was quickly felt nothing on the ground, she kept hold of the handle of the door and managed to keep herself up. "What the?"

She looks down, seeing that the Shack wasn't in a forest, but in a completely different place. It was on top of a cliff pillar, with water far below.

Only that this water wasn't blue, it was… pink?

She looks up to see that the water was an ocean and far in the distance was a white-yellow line on the horizon. Several boats were floating around, as they go through the thick looking water.

Where is she? And what's going on?

"Wendy!" a girl's voice cried out her name, causing the teen to turn around.

[OS-37]

Dipper: see surroundings

Dipper look through the outdoors of his place, noticing the change of scenery and where he was.

There was a forest, but it wasn't like the one in Gravity Falls, and The Shack is in a different position, as he looked down to see a deep cliffside, going back to the view, there were several trees and crystals udder a bright sun, at a distance, there's a yellow line that looked manmade.

Unknown to Dipper and Mabel, and they will learn, they have arrived at the LAND OF BARK, SUMMER, SAILS AND CLAY.

[OS-38]

Webby: Zoom Out

Webby zoom out and notice the quick changes in Dipper's world. This surprises her, thinking that doing the stuff on SBURB, would stop the meteor, but instead, it did something else.

GA: Okay, just saw where you are and I guess we were wrong

PD: No duh!

GA: It seems that what we were doing didn't stop the meteor but rather teleported your house out of its impact

GA: That's one way to avoid danger if you ask me

PD: But what about the meteor?!

GA: I don't know what happened,

GA: but based on what I saw on John's page, the meteor struck your place

GA: Wherever you were, it was destroyed!

PD: Are you kidding me?

PD: You're telling me that Gravity Falls is gone!?

GA: I… I don't know?

GA: maybe

PD: it's not helping

GA: look, I'm just confused as you are

GA: how about we just resume our story and we get to know what happens next

PD: okay…

PD: maybe we get to know more

[OS-39]

Dipper looked around, seeing that everyone is still here

Stan, Ford, Soos, Pacifica. And…

"Guys?" Dipper was suddenly worried, "where's Mabel?"

Guess she wandered off somewhere, she has to still be around.

Dipper goes onto his phone, noticing the big explosion closed by curtains and pressed onto the Hyperlink text. Beginning Act 2 of Homestuck.

[248]

Dipper:

The next images seemed completely different, but with a sense of connection. As it shows a cloaked figure wandering through a desert wasteland before finding a circle with a familiar symbol. What bares with the story is beyond him and he doesn't think it's important.

At the time he clicked on the next hyperlink, he was halfway through to his computer.

Webby:

"Is that a post-apocalypse?" Webby said, a little excited to see such themes, "yeah, total anarchy and a desert wasteland!"

"Or searching for things that are lost." Dewey pointed out.

"That too!" she added.

[249]

Dipper:

The following page reveals a long message. One that after reading, it caused a huge ache in his heart and his mouth to drop.

He spent a long while, there were no ready checks from Webby, meaning that she must have the same shock as he was

'You have just participated in bringing out the end of the world.'

"Dipper, you better explain what's going on." Pacifica's voice was heard as she approaches the room, trying to find Dipper.

But he didn't turn around to notice her, instead, stared directly at the computer, taking in the harsh reality of his situation.

"Are you hearing me?" she asked before approaching him and looking at his computer, revealing the message. "What is this?"

"It's… I… I don't know what it is…" Dipper said, "I think… I caused the apocalypse…"

There was a slight thought of disbelief from Pacifica, as her eyes widen from what he said. "what… what do you mean?"

"Pacifica… we barely avoided a meteor that would have killed us all, but if what Rose saying is true then… our planet is destroyed…"

Hearing this, Pacifica was still in denial, thinking about where she lived, thinking about her parents, "no… mom… dad…" if what Dipper said was true, are they gone? That just can't be… there has to be a way back! There has to.

"What are we going to do?" she asked.

"I think… I just play the game… as Rose suggests." Dipper said, going to the story and clicking on the highlighted text, "you can read this story with me, you don't have to but…"

"no…" Pacifica said, getting herself a seat and joining the boy, "it's not like I have anything else to do if we're stuck here…"

Webby:

The three read the words, a long message and it was a message that they didn't want to receive.

Everything clicks together for Dewey, the mention of meteors, the big one heading to Dipper's house and now this.

"Webby…" Dewey turns to the girl, who was a little shaken by the message.

"Did… did I destroy the world? Is our world doomed?"

Hearing the words, Dewey wasn't sure what to say, if he's getting everything from what he saw, then that means the moment Webby installed the game, it caused the meteors to fall onto the earth, and if Rose's message was true, does that mean a big meteor is heading towards them?

"I…" Dewey said, getting up from the seat, "I need to go… I'll be right back…" he then starts running towards the door and left.

"Wait…" Webby reach her hand, just having a big feeling for what's going on but for most, for a friend to leave her behind.

"I don't want to be alone…"

Lena, while in the shadow realm, was a little angry that there was a world-destroying video game, but sad that Webby is feeling upset and she can't do anything to comfort her.

The shadow realm is a curse.

[250]

Dipper:

"And it seems John is in the same situation as we are," Dipper said, with Pacifica a little confused as to what's going on the screen, but want to know more since it's probably the only way for her to get out of this mess.

Suddenly, Dipper got a notification over at Pesterchum, not from Webby or the RogueofTime, but to someone else.

Someone he needs to talk to as he quickly accepts the request after one glance.

Webby:

"wow… the same situation… but a different place, I think…" Webby said, a little curious but cautious. It made her wonder if she's going to end up in the same situation as John and Dipper and what place she's going to end up in.

She looks over at Pesterchum and notices a new user, or rather two. One was offline while the other is currently chatting with Dipper, she sends a pester towards this new person.

[OS-40]

Mabel stood up after falling from pulling the Christmas cracker, she looked inside and notice a little piece of paper.

'Two bird on a wire, one tries to fly away and the other…'

This makes completely no sense!

She needs to find her brother or anyone.

"Dipper! Stan! Ford! Soos!" she shouted each name but no answer.

In a sense of panic, she starts running around the shack, trying to find anyone.

Until she arrived at the Gift Shop and spotted Wendy.

"Wendy!" Mabel smiled, happy to see someone else.

"Yo, little dude." Wendy said closing the door, "want to explain what's going on here?"

"That's what I want to know!" Mabel said, "one minute a meteor was approaching us and we open a cracker and the next, everyone was gone!"

"uhh… not everyone…" Wendy was shocked, looking over Mabel's head and pointing to her, "what is that?"

Mabel turns around to see a bright figure in front of her.

It was a ghost, a very bright ghost, with a pig head and goat horns, or at least one and a half horn.

Quickly, Mabel knew who this is.

"Waddles!" Mabel shouted approaching the ghost. "is that you! what happened? Did you die?"

"No Mabel." A manly and calm voice spoke out, "oink, I don't know what happened."

This made both Mabel and Wendy jump.

"You… you can talk?"

"Yes…" the pig nodded. "in my new form, I have achieved the ability to speak, baaah!"

"Well… Waddles, do you know where Dipper is?" Mabel asked her pet friend that just made a goat noise.

"I recommend going onto the computer." Waddles responded, "And please, call me Wadpersprite. As I am a kernelsprite mixed by Waddles and Gompers."

A clue to finding her brother, Mabel follows the sprite's instruction and head to her room.

[OS-41]

Mabel: Go to room

Arriving at her room, she approaches the computer, which also had something new, a popup telling her to press enter.

She didn't understand what it means, but it seems that the story and the chat thing was gone. So there was only one option left.

She presses enter and things started to load.

Another pop-up appears, asking for a username.

"This must be the whole Pesterchum thing Dipper was using." She said as Wendy followed her and enter her bedroom.

Mabel decided on a name that would quickly make her brother answer her and drop everything else, along with something she likes just for fun.

DipperSisterkitten.

With that, the pop-up shows an image of John, a character that Dipper was reading, being in a strange place, the same situation as her.

Then another pop-up appears, being Pesterchum, quickly she pesters the user named 'PinesDecipher' and already gotten an acceptance to pester.

[OS-42]

- DipperSisterkitten [DS] began pestering PinesDecipher [PD] –

DS: DIPPER!

DS: Are you there?!

PD: MABEL!

PD: thank goodness you're alright!

PD: where are you?

DS: on our computer. Where are you?

PD: on… our computer?

PD: that doesn't make any sense

PD: how are you on the computer if I'm contacting you?

DS: what?

DS: I don't know, I'm just very confused!

PD: Mabel calm down,

PD: there has to be an explanation

PD: where are you exactly

DS: I'm in our room, using the computer okay!

DS: stop making jokes!

Suddenly, Mabel got a pester notification to someone named 'GrandAdventureGirl'. Being completely confused, she went off Dipper's chat and go onto this other person

[OS-43]

- GrandAdventureGirl [GA] began pestering DipperSisterkitten [DS] –

DS: Hello?

GA: HI!

GA: new to the game?

DS: I don't know. I was talking to Dipper but he wasn't making any sense

GA: you must be Dipper's sister right?

GA: I'm Webby.

DS: the girl duck that can control the Mystery Shack?

GA: yeah… it's no big deal

DS: Hey, since you can see Dipper, can you please tell me where he is?

GA: Okay!

GA: He's in your bedroom

DS: seriously? You too?

GA: Just telling the truth.

DS: So you're telling me that Dipper and I are on the same seat, going on the same computer?

DS: Can you see me at the computer or in my room

GA: Not really

GA: I like your sweater by the way…

DS: Thanks… I think…

DS: Look, I just don't know what's going on and I want to make sense of this nonsense.

GA: I'm with you girl.

GA: I recommend reading the story first.

GA: Also look at SBURB if you have the chance, you might see your brother on-screen

DS: Okay

DS: Thanks

- GrandAdventureGirl [GA] stop pestering DipperSisterkitten [DS] –

With no other option, Mabel has to look at the story while SBURB continues to load, only a quarter way through.

[251]

Dipper:

Dipper looked at the gif and noticed the kenelsprite being split into two halves. Making him wonder if it's going to happen with the gnome sprite.

Probably did already.

Webby:

"Now that's something to take note of." Webby said, "wonder what the stuff in the sky is and for what purpose.

Mabel:

"Woah…" Mabel said, "wonder if Waddles…"

"Wadpersprite." The pig-goat sprite appeared next to her, "and yes, this happened when we entered the medium."

Seeing her pet ghost, she smiled, happy that she gets to talk to her and help her when she's confused.

And finally, she gets to read the story all by herself.

[252]

Dipper:

Seeing the sudden transformation, which suddenly realises something.

He turns around, wanting to see the kernelsprite, only for the sprite to arrive where he was and transformed.

Once it was the head of the gnome, now it gained arms and a body.

"Shmebusprite!" the sprite shouted.

"Well… that's something…" Dipper said.

Webby:

With the sudden change of the sprite, it caught Lena's interest, to see what was merged into sprite becoming a living thing, turning a big toy harlequin into a ghost of some sort.

"maybe…" Lena had thoughts, thinking of a possible way to escape.

She turns to see Webby wearing the friendship bracelet. If what the instructions said was true and Webby has her turn. She might take that chance.

Mabel:

"So that's what happened to you?" Mabel asked Wadpersprite.

The pig closed his eyes, "oink."

Turning back to the computer, she suddenly heard a noise, a whisper that sounded like the words "Witch".

She shook her head and resume on the computer.

[253]

Dipper:

The next page was interactive, Dipper used the keyboard to make John move around the place, he interacted with a couple of things, but it was rather an information that was added to know more about the stuff he has.

This whole thing was optional and Dipper decided not to spent a lot of time but click onto the next page.

He regretted this, however, when it took a long while before the next page appeared, "guess Mabel is just looking at the house." Dipper considered, "maybe a way for her to catch up…"

Webby:

Webby goes through the interactions, seeing strange stuff and items to interact with, giving more intake to what they are and a reminder of the stuff he has in the house.

While going through the place, Dewey returned, along with his two twin brothers, Huey and Louie.

"So, what's this about causing the end of the world?" Huey first asked, catching the attention of Webby.

"Oh, hey guys." She finally notices, "yeah, I made a tiny mistake when I installed a disk."

"Even though it could potentially have a virus that can break your laptop?"

"Granny checked the package beforehand and said it was okay!"

"Guys, it doesn't matter if it's Webby's fault, the point is, I brought you here to read the story."

"Boring!" Louie sigh before walking away, only to be stopped by his blue wearing brother.

"We need to do this together," he shouted, "can you at least give it a chance."

"look, if the end of the world is happening, I would rather watch some Ottoman Empire and wait for the whole thing to blow other."

"As much as you want that, we have to listen to Dewey." Huey said, agreeing with his blue brother, "the meteors are unnatural to their proper course and only recently discovered, as though they appeared out of thin air, it might have something to do with the game."

"Alright fine!" Louie gave up and walk back. "only because you needed help."

And with that, the triplets joined Webby with the website, the girl duck used this time to discussed what's going on in the story, showing the interactives of the stuff John has and gave a further explanation about Homestuck, from what a human is to how it all relates to their situation, even mentioning Rose which seems to be in a similar position as her.

With everything summed up, she clicked on the next hyperlink text.

Mabel:

Mabel goes around the house on this interactive page, seeing stuff that happened during the story that Dipper was reading.

She didn't get to see most of it and it explored places that she hasn't been in or saw for the most part. And even if the information goes nowhere, it was a way to give herself an idea for John's situation.

Before she clicked onto the next page, she surprises herself that she ended up going through the entire house. already caught up with what happened.

[254]

(not much to say on this page)

[255]

Dipper:

"That's not good," Dipper said, noticing the black sludge on the image near the red box.

Webby:

"The bunny!" Webby gasps, "did someone take it?"
"What bunny?" Louie asked.

"The Bunny John had which was a prop for a movie he likes."

Mabel:

"What happened?" Mabel said, curious about the black sludge, having an uneased feeling.

[256]

Dipper:

"Okay, a summary of what we know," Dipper said, recalling his last chat with Webby.

Webby:

Seeing the conversation between John and Rose, the suspicions of Huey and Dewey suddenly clicked.

"So, it is true…" Huey said, "that explain the smaller meteors,"

"How long did they found out about them?" Webby asked.

"Only about an hour or so ago," Huey goes onto his phone, "and apparently, there's more, with a bigger one…"

"Hopefully we can somehow save the world with this game… right?" Webby said, giving herself hope that the game purpose is for her to save the world.

Mabel:

This was a summary for Mabel, reading on how there was a meteor and John teleported the house out of the impact.

Meaning that it did the same for the Mystery Shack.

Though there are still many questions, for now, she smiled to see Rose wishing John a happy birthday.

[257]

Dipper:

"I can see one good reason why," Dipper said, looking over at the mess.

Webby:

"to clean the black sludge," Huey commented, "that's what I would do."

Mabel:

"who knows, maybe it can come in handy," Mabel suggested.

[258]

(not much to say on this page)

[259]

Dipper:

"I would guess it still has importance even if it did what is needed to do," Dipper said, curious if there was anything else the totem can do.

Webby:

"Must be important," Webby said, "I can't wait to get my totem…"

Mabel:

"So is the wobbly thing useful later," Mabel turned to her pet sprite.

The pig smile, "maybe… baah."

[260]

Dipper:

"Make sense," Dipper said, hoping that Webby got rid of the pointless yellow block they made earlier.

Webby:

"Oops… my bad…" Webby said, now knowing what to do, she went to where the yellow block was and put it in her game inventory. Not to be confused with the sylladex.

She goes onto the next page to see how to restore the wasted grist.

Mabel:

"Oh right, there are two players," Mabel recalled, remembering how John has Rose as her host and Webby is Dipper's host.

[261]

Dipper:

"Now there is grist left," Dipper said, a little proud that they have something left that can be useful.

Webby:

Webby followed as the image showed, going to the inventory and deleting the yellow perfectly generic object, restoring 2 grist in the grist currency.

"That can be useful later," Webby said.

Mabel:

Mabel didn't have much to say since there isn't much going and this image means nothing to her.

[262]

Dipper:

"What is the mouse doing?" Pacifica asked.

"she is using the grist to create a platform so John can get his phone." Dipper explained, "a little creative and clever."

Webby:

"Alright, the platform is now set." Webby said, "now you just need to walk the plank."

"I don't know about that," Huey wasn't sure about the image, "the platform seems a little unstable."

Mabel:

"Okay, now he can get the phone." Mabel tries to understand the reason for the blocks to disappear, a little understanding of the currency of the game.

[263]

Dipper:

"I guess it makes sense since there are no support beams," Dipper considered, thinking that he would go through the platform and recognize why John was scared.

Webby:

"Even he knows it." Huey said, "plus there's no support beams or structures that hold the bridge. I'm surprised the platform hasn't collapsed yet."

"Maybe the laws of physics are different where John is?" Webby suggests.

"I'll go with that," Louie said, sipping a drink of Pep.

Mabel:

"it's just a walk through there, no big deal…" Mabel said.

[264]

Dipper:

"Yeah, running wouldn't be safe." Dipper now realise.

Webby:

"Running there is even more dangerous." Huey continued. Making the rest roll their eyes

Mabel:

"I guess it makes sense…" Mabel said, remembering when she gained her fear of heights, it took a while for her to forget it, but when things shake around her, it would frighten her.

[265]

Dipper:

"Slow and steady." Dipper smiled seeing John walking towards the other side of the platform.

Webby:

"Still a bad idea." Huey commenting, causing Dewey to trigger.

"Don't you have a suspicion of disbelief?" he shouted. Causing the red duck to stay quiet as the rest continue reading.

Mabel:

"And now you got the phone," Mabel said, "now he can talk to his friend."

[266]

Dipper:

Dipper and Pacifica jumped when John got the item, causing the harlequin figure to spit out.

"Note to self," Dipper said to himself, "be careful about what I get…"

Webby:

Webby and the triplets jumped when John got the item.

"What was that?" Huey said

"Oh right," Webby scratches the back of her head, "John has an inventory where he can only pull out the first and last item and adding in a full inventory, spits out the last item.

"That sounds like a very horrible system." The red duck said, a little concerned towards the idea

"Yeah… an awesome system!" Louie said, "you can use that as a weapon in a way."

"That's what I thought," Webby said, agreeing with the green hooded duck.

Mabel:

Mabel and Wendy jumped when John got the item

"What happened?" Wendy said.

"Guess it's something to do with the inventory I think…" Mabel wasn't sure, "Dipper would know about this."

[267]

Dipper:

"At least the father's business friends are worried for his safety," Dipper said, reading the text on the phone.

Webby:

"Next!" Webby clicks onto the next page after looking at the boring text.

"Wait Webby!" Huey said but was too late.

"Are you sure it doesn't have interesting information?"

"Only you can think about business," Dewey said.

Mabel:

"Boring! Next!" Mabel clicks on the next page.

[268]

Dipper:

"Guess it wouldn't hurt to do it again," Dipper said, thinking about placing a proper item onto the sprite this time and not by accident.

But during the conversation, he notices that there was suddenly a voice in John's head, making him a little cautious and wonder if he would hear a voice as well.

Webby:

"Okay, so we need to prototype the sprite again," Webby said.

"The what?" Louie raised a brow.

"Currently his sprite is a gnome." Webby explains, "there is another kenelsprite, but I don't know where it is.

Mabel:

"You don't have to worry about prototyping me again, Mabel" Wadpersprite mentions.

"Really?" Mabel said, thinking more about it, the sprite is part pig and goat, so Wadpersprite is fully prototyped.

Though it makes her wonder where the gnome sprite is.

"Forget the gnome, Witch…"

"Wait?" Mabel turns around, hearing a voice again.

"I didn't say anything." Wendy raised her hands in the air. Causing the girl to turn back onto the computer.

[269]

Dipper:

"Now this voice is getting dangerous…" Dipper comments, hoping that John doesn't actually jump, a little glad that the text indicates that he wouldn't.

Webby:

"Should we be worried about the voice?" Webby asked, causing Huey to nod, Dewey to shrug and Louie to shake.

"Alrighty then…"

Mabel:

"Witch set sail…"

"Can you please stop calling me a witch!" Mabel turns around in anger, suspecting that Wendy was the one who's whispering.

"I didn't say anything." she defended herself, "are you sure you don't have a voice in your head?"

"I hope not," Mabel said, now a little worried.

[270]

Dipper:

"It's official." Pacifica said, "John has lost it."

"I'm not sure about that…" Dipper said, curious about the voice and wonder if the black text from earlier mean anything.

Webby:

"Yep, he gone nuts." Louie said, "good thing it's on a computer, otherwise we would be wearing masks.

"It's not contagious Louie," Huey said.

Webby on the other hand had a little sense that it might mean something and there was a reason for John to get these messages.

Mabel:

"That's what I want to know," Mabel said, now in curiosity, clicking onto the next page, with the question at the end of this page, she suspects that she would get her answer on the next page.

This might also unravel the reason she can hear voices. Maybe what's happening to her is happening to John as well...

[OS-44]

Years into the future but not too many. a Haysaul enters the hidden passage.

Going through what looked like a hidden bunker but with additional stuff.

The Haysaul wander through, finding itself in a room with pods, one of them had a boy inside. Best not to open that one up.

A sudden beep was heard next to the other pod, the Haysaul approaches.

They looked at the beeping button, in curiosity, he presses the button.

Upon press, the sound of hisses and loud clashes was heard, until the pod in front of him opens up.

The Haysaul waited till the smoke clears before a figure appears out of the pod.

It was… an old man?

"OLD MAN MCGUCKET IS BACK!"

This left Haysaul in utter confusion.

[271]

Dipper:

Dipper clicked onto the highlighted text when the page continues with the wasteland side story.

He looked at each page until the last parts, as it reveals that the wasterlander is the one talking to John, the so-called 'voice in his head'.

"Okay… now we got wastelanders that could talk to us and watch our every movement…" Dipper realizes. Now wondering what his voice is going to tell him if one ever shows up.

For now, he can be prepared for when it happens.

Webby:

"Woah… so the wasteland guy is messaging John in the past," Webby said, causing her and the triplets (aside from Louie) fill in curiosity towards this image and what it means. But more importantly, whether or not this person is going to help John.

Mabel:

With the images revealed, Mabel was eyes widen towards what she sees, as the mystery of her voice. As the images on-screen would be an indication.

It was a wastelander from the future.

Or maybe… she still wasn't sure.

This caused her to turn around to look at the corner of her room and looking up. Presumingly the camera view for the wastelander.

"Hello! You there! Can you hear me!?" She shouted, not caring that Wendy is with her and was a little confused towards the girl's action.

Hoping for a response, the voice came back, "if you're trying to communicate, Witch, I cannot hear you, I recommend an alternative verbal of communication…"

Thinking of ideas, she goes back onto the computer and clicks on the next page.

[272]

Dipper:

The next page reveals more information from Rose, to give full instructions on what to do next.

However, this wasn't interesting news for Dipper as it was stuff he'd done before. If being honest, this would have been useful if he started with this form of information.

He sighed in annoyance towards this.

Webby:

"Now this is very interesting," Huey said, already pulling his Woodchuck guidebook and writing everything that the information provides as Webby read through.

When Webby finished writing, the red duck smiled, "there! Now when it's your turn to do all of that, you can use the guide to know what to do and what your client needs to do, I also recommend copying and pasting the text onto a word processing document so future players can have that information when they start appearing."

"That's an excellent idea!" Webby said as she does so, highlighting all the text and then putting them in a document. Making it easier for her to copy and paste information for new players when she pesters them.

"I'm a bit surprised at how the game works," Dewey said, a little interested in the game, even when he doesn't know much of the terminology.

"Yeah," Webby smiled, "and it's all so the player can get out of the impact radius of an upcoming meteor."

"Please don't remind us about the upcoming meteor that's going to kill us all please," Louie said, getting another can of Pep after drinking his first one.

Mabel:

"Wendy, can you get a pencil and paper please?" Mabel said, ignoring what the page said, as it was long-winded text.

"What for? For the page?" Wendy asked.

"Yes." She lied.

"Alright then," Wendy said, getting up to look for what Mabel need, as the girl clicks onto the next page.

[273]

Dipper:

"A little concerning don't you think?" Dipper said, a little glad that the page goes back to what Rose was doing, but also a little worried about the forest fire, a hazard that even scares him since he lives in a town where there are cliffs and forests.

Webby:

"A good reminder for our impending doom." Louie said, "I'm going to check outside to see if there are any forest fires around Duckburg." And with that, Louie walks away, as though he used it as an excuse to get away from the reading.

The others didn't mind as they thought he was checking for impending anger, the best guess would be that he would be watching TV and expected to have breaking news to keep up-to-date with the meteor showers.

Mabel:

"Glad we don't worry about that anymore," Mabel said.

"Here you go," Wendy said, pulling out a bunch of paper and a pencil."

"Thanks," Mabel said as she clicks on the next page and starts writing on the paper.

[274]

Dipper:

"Always come with a backup, even if the measures are hard," Dipper said, though a little curious towards the reason there would be a backup generator near the cat grave.

"Why would anyone have a backup generator?" Pacifica asked, a little unsure about it but pleased that it's there that can help with the seemingly modernly wealthy girl.

Webby:

"That's smart," Huey said, "I would always plug in the computer with all the battery power at most times."

"That's what I did for my laptop." Webby said, pointing out her purple laptop, which is still fully charged. "let's hope we don't lose power."

"Don't think we will." Dewey said, "this is the McDuck manor, the only way we could lose power is if Uncle Scrooge decides to not pay for the power bill."

Mabel:

Mabel ignored the page for a moment and focused more on the writing, already finishing up a good response.

Wendy meanwhile, look over Mabel's shoulder and notice what she'd written, "Can you read this? Mabel, what is this?"

But the sweater girl ignores the teen, picking up the paper and showing it at the top corner of the room, making the teenager more confused.

"Please work." Mabel hoped for an answer.

Then it did, the voice was heard once more, and it gave a response, "yes."

It worked, she figured out a way to communicate with the voice.

Happy to know this, she went back on the computer and click on the next page.

[275]

Dipper:

"Guess I have to use anything." Dipper thought, getting up and using his phone to resume the pages.

He turns around and notices the jackalope on the floor, one he discarded when he got the punch card.

"Might as well," Dipper said, approaching the item and captachaloging it.

Webby:

Noticing the page, it reminded Webby about prototyping the gnome sprite.

However, she soon sees that Dipper picked up what looked like a stuffed jackalope, which excites the girl duck, but remembered that Dipper told her that all the stuff in the Mystery Shack is fake, so most likely it's a stuffed bunny with antlers glued together to make the illusion.

For this occasion, she would let Dipper do the prototyping.

Mabel:

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Rose." Wadpersprite comments on Rose's decision.

Meanwhile, Mabel wrote more and showed it to the corner.

'Who are you?'

The voice replied, "it doesn't matter who I am, Witch, this is all about you."

Mabel quickly writes another paper, desperate for an answer.

'Can you tell me your name at least?'

It took a second for the voice to reply, Mabel clicked onto the next page before it answered, "call me… Greytall."

[276]

Dipper:

"Or one that doesn't speak proper English." Dipper looks at his sprite. Pulling out the fake jackalope.

"I'm very offended boy." The sprite spoke.

"What?" Dipper was shocked towards hearing the gnome sprite speak properly, remembering the gnome being the one who can only say his name.

"Shmebusprite!" the sprite said. Going back to what Dipper was used to. Ignoring the comment and proceed to get ready.

Webby:

"Harlequins are known for their mischief and clown-like antics," Webby said, now curious to what's going to happen when a sprite gets prototyped twice.

Mabel:

"hey sprite dude," Wendy asked, "what happens when you

"I'm sorry red girl." Wadpersprite said, "I only speak answers to the one I'm helping."

"because of the rules?"

"No, oink" the pig-goat smiled, "because she's my best friend."

Mabel however wasn't listening, as she wrote another paper.

'Why are you calling me a witch?'

The voice responds as the girl clicks onto the next page.

"Aren't you one?"

[277]

Dipper:

"At least John is letting Rose prototype his sprite," Dipper said, getting closer to his sprite. Better hurry before Webby does something stupid.

Webby:

"Don't think a plant would work for that Sprite," Webby said, "thought it would make a good jester plant…"

"Don't you mean harlequin plant?" Dewey reminded the girl.

"Oh right, there's a difference."

Mabel:

"I follow the boy's judgement, baahh!" Wadpersprite said while Mabel wrote another message

'What do you want from me?'

The voice responds to the message, "nothing, I'm just watching you. but soon you have to start your quest…"

[278]

Dipper:

"What would happen if you prototype the book?" Dipper was curious, "would it make the sprite a funny harlequin or make it part-book somehow?"

Webby:

"Good idea," Webby said, "sometimes, there need to be plans and teamwork."

"And teamwork, make the dream work," Dewey added.

Both two ducks proceed to high five in friendship.

Mabel:

While Wendy and the sprite watch the next page, Mabel wrote one last message, one that made her curious about what the voice in her head said.

'Where do I start?'

The voice spoke, "you start by going on the computer and play the game, afterwards, you can proceed with your journey in your half-land…"

Mabel doesn't question it, everything has been weird lately and it's best not to ask questions and just do them. She goes back on the computer and clicks on the next page.

[279]

Dipper:

"Way to point it out Captain Obvious," Dipper said, clicking on the next page very quickly, not enough time for Pacifica to read what was said on the page.

Webby:

"It is very distracting," Webby said

Mabel:

Mabel ignored the quick page, though smiling at the image gif, she minimizes it and goes back to the game pop-up, noticing the loading is almost done.

"just a little bit more…" she sighed before going back to the story and clicking on the next page. Better to use her time while she waits.

[280]

Dipper:

"Well, that didn't go well." Dipper said, "also I wouldn't think that would turn the harlequin into a colonel."

Dipper then looked at his sprite, and the jackalope, he holds it off far enough.

"Hey, Shmebulock?"

"SHMEBUSPRITE!" the gnome sprite shouted.

"Okay… Shmebusprite…" Dipper said, a little shaken, "look, I need to prototype you for a second time and I got this jackalope, so would you mind being that… please?"

The sprite stood still, with no response or reaction. Just floating there as though Dipper didn't say anything at all.

"I take that as a yes then…" Dipper said, now stepping towards him and going onto the next page.

Webby:

"Oh man, a colonelsprite would be amazing," Webby said, clicking onto the next page to see what happens next when the book landed on the ground.

She also looked at the other screen, noticing that Dipper is about to do his second prototyping on his gnome sprite.

Mabel:

"Good thing I don't have to distract my sprite." Mabel said, "in fact, I don't know how you got prototyped. How did that happen?"

"The goat part of me walked in and jump towards the kernelsprite." Wadpersprite explained, "the pig part of me was knocked away by a yellow block, and clashed into me."

[281]

Dipper:

Dipper didn't pay much attention to the page at the time, as he was too busy looking at his sprite transforming.

Once the prototyping was complete, the Shmebusprite appeared… the same with a couple of changes, he has a rabbit nose and antlers on his head.

"Shmebusprite!" the sprite shouted, being its usual gnome self.

"At least I don't have to deal with you," Dipper said, walking back to the computer and noticing the ash dropping onto the sprite.

"Now this is new…" Dipper said, quickly clicking onto the next page.

Webby:

Webby saw the new sprite and was amazed by the additions, it wasn't big changes, but she likes them.

"Now Dipper has a Kernelsprite that's part-sprite, part gnome, part-rabbit and part-deer. I'll call it, a Gnobilope-sprite!"

"Confusing, but I bite," Huey said, already writing a new page of the new creature in his guidebook, when there are new things, he adds them to ensure that the guidebook has everything.

Mabel:

"So what happens now?" Wendy asked, curious about what John was doing.

"You'll see, Mabel's friend." The sprite replied with a big smile.

[282]

Dipper:

"I mean… you did have Rose have that book and she dropped it." Dipper thought about the fault of John dropping his grandmother's ashes.

Webby:

"Wait, so John has ashes of her nana?" Huey suddenly realized the urn.

"Yeah," Webby said, "his nanny passed away a while back."

"so if the ashes were prototype with the harlequin sprite, could it mean…" Huey start brainstorming and thought of a possibility before Webby click onto another page.

Mabel:

"Hey, where did she go?" Mabel noticed.

The pig-goat snorted in laughter, "such a funny one, she is…"

[283]

Dipper:

"That would be a problem," Dipper said when John can't get out of the house because of the Cruxtruder blocking the door, "and they don't have enough grist to move it."

With that, he also thought about another thing, the fact that he has to do the same for Webby if John is supposed to get Rose to do the same.

He goes onto the SBURB pop-up but notices something strange.

It doesn't show Webby's place, nor anything at all, just showed the logo of the game and saying that the client is currently running.

"Guess it's not ready yet…" Dipper said as he continues onto the next page.

Webby:

"Where did you put the Cruxtruder?" Huey asked.

"In the middle of a room." Webby answered, "I'm not silly, I know when there's an exit."

After answering and after clicking, she suddenly got a notification on Pesterchum.

Mabel:

"Okay, time go back onto the other thing," Mabel said, back to the game and notice that the game was ready, with the SBURB logo appearing in front of her.

"Well, time to figure this out…" Mabel said.

[OS-45]

Mabel: Play SBURB

Upon pressing enter, the first thing she saw was a room, a place that has books, dolls, and weird stuff.

Along with three ducks, two boys and one girl.

Already, Mabel can tell who this was.

She quickly goes over to Pesterchum and pesters Webby. She waited until she answers.

[OS-46]

- DipperSisterkitten [DS] began pestering GrandAdventureGirl [GA] –

DS: Webby! I can see you

GA: I'm sorry what?

DS: I think I'm playing Dipper's game, or what you were playing towards the shack?

DS: I can see you, you have a pink bow, a pink shirt and a purple vest, two boys are sitting next to you.

GA: they're Dewey and Huey, I'll let them say hi to you

Mabel goes on the game and saw the two boy ducks looking at her and waving, their faces were confused.

GA: So Dipper isn't going to be the one to put me in the game, it will be you

DS: I guess so

DS: If I got it right, what Rose did to John and you did to us, I now have to do the same to you…

DS: Do I have that right

GA: Of course

GA: It also means a meteor is heading my way

GA: So best hurry up and start deploying the devices

DS: Okay

DS: But first, I want to look around your house if that's okay with you

GA: It's a manor and it's not my house it's Scrooges'

GA: But okay, best for you to settle in the environment

DS: Alright, talk to you after I deploy the devices

GA: bye new friend!

[284]

Dipper:

"The voices I presume," Dipper suggests.

Webby:

"Don't play tricks wastelander," Webby said, liking the suggestions of the voices earlier, but the laugh was a little nerving for her.

Mabel:

Mabel quickly click on the next page before looking arround the place.

Already, she notices that Webby wasn't wrong, as the place was very huge, with several rooms. Outside, the manor was large with a pool at the back that has a boat with a duck cleaning it.

She also notices more ducks aside from what she saw, including a duck in a top hat sitting at a desk, a young green hoodie duck watching TV, a pilot duck repairing a big red plane, a lady purple maid duck using a vacuum cleaner to clean the halls.

And last, outside the door to the manor, a tall duck in a yellow hat, a green shirt and a pink bowtie, holding several papers.

Making the human girl on the computer curious.

[285]

Dipper:

Dipper looked at the gif, showing a new sprite appearing and disappearing when John turns around.

He quickly guesses who the sprite was, as it was the only sprite at John's place.

"Guess the ashes does work." Dipper said to himself, "and it brought someone back from the dead…"

Webby:

Seeing the joking sprite appearing and disappearing, the ducks realized something about prototyping.

"Hey, it's John's grandmother." Webby assumed after looking at an image of an old lady near the ashes.

"Now that's very interesting." Huey writes a new page about sprites, "so the prototyping can work on anything, even the dead, I wonder if we can bring someone back."

"Yeah, not going to happen." The spirit of Duckworth appears through the room.

"he's right though." Huey said, "I believe we need to use a physical object that has the person, so if we were to prototype Duckworth, we would need his remains."

"I wouldn't mind a bit of grave robbing," Webby said, causing Duckworth to come in with anger in his eyes. "Do that, and I will haunt you for the rest of your lives."

"Yeah, best not to disturb our ghost butler," Dewey suggests.

Meanwhile, in the shadow realm and hearing all of this, Lena now understands how the kernelsprites works and how it's possible.

When the time comes, she knows what to do.

Mabel:

"Happy that John's nanna is back." Mabel smiled when looking at the page, finishing up looking around the manor before getting started deploying the devices.

[286]

Dipper:

"guess those sprites are fast enough to appear out of nowhere," Dipper said, looking over at Shmebusprite who stood there the entire time motionless.

"Shmebusprite!" he shouted.

Webby:

"Well, she's now a harlequin." Webby pointed out, "antics would be her thing now."

Mabel:

"I have seen it, John," Mabel said, all while finding a perfect spot to place the Alchemiter.

[287]

Dipper:

Reading the pesterlogs with turntech, Dipper felt very uneased by his rapping. As it was so cringing that he had a hard time skipping all of it.

"Please don't let our red player be as much of a time-waster than this guy," Dipper said when he reached the end of the logs

Webby:

"The guy doesn't know how to rap…" Dewey said, weirded out by the pesterlogs from Turntech.

"At least he's into poetry," Webby said.

"That is far from poetry Webby." Dewey commented, "and I guess most of the things he said is like human stuff like black presidents, what does that mean?"

Mabel:

Mabel smiled at turntech's rap, though a little unsettled from his vulgar words, she likes people being hip-hop.

But back to the game, she starts deploying the Alchemiter

[OS-47]

Gyro Gearloose enters the manor, holding several papers of evidence and blueprints needed to fix a problem he recently detected.

"Mister Scrooge!" he shouted, "I need your urgent attention! The fate of the world depends on it!"

As he walks through the main hall of the manor, a sudden device appears from the sky, Gyro notices and dodge out of the way, causing all the papers to drop.

"What in the world?" he said, now curious towards the device. "Okay, what's going on here?"

[288]

(not much to say on this page)

[289]

Dipper:

"This is smart thinking for Rose's part," Dipper said, however, he has a feeling that something bad is going to happen.

Webby:

"Well, since this is a major emergency, sometimes you have to break glass for emergencies," Webby said, now excited for John to get Rose into the game.

Mabel:

Mabel thought that lifting the car would be a smart idea, especially when there's a balcony.

The next thing she needs to put in is the Totem Lathe, and since her room has one, then she would assume they should be in similar rooms.

[290]

Dipper:

Dipper watched the gif, as Rose lifted the car, then as the expected connection was lost and the car drop hard to the ground.

"Yeah, Rose's battery power…" he mentions.

Webby:

"Well… there goes the car… and the game…" Huey said, watching the car plunge into the abyss.

"Guess John can't get Rose into the game in the meantime," Webby said, right when the Totem Lathe appears in her room. Making her smile after a sudden disappointment in the story.

"Thanks, Mabel!"

Mabel:

Mabel focused more on the game than the page, though a little shocked towards the internet lost and the car falling.

She goes back to Webby's room and places the Totem Lathe onto the open side of her room.

She was happy for the next device and now one more to go.

[291]

(not much to say on this page)

[292]

Dipper:

"Okay time for more of the green player," Dipper said, remembering the person and realise how long it's been since there was a mention of this person.

Webby:

"Time to know more about gardenGnostic." Webby said before turning to her friends. "they seem to be a nice person based on their last conversation."

Mabel:

"Oh it's that green player," Mabel said, wanting to hear more from her instead of turntech.

[293]

Dipper:

"She reminds me of a certain girl." Pacifica read the green text, being positive and cheery, a vibe that made her a little unsettled but accepting lately.

"Yeah, like my sister." Dipper pointed out what she was thinking about.

Webby:

"I like gardenGnostic." Webby said, "they are a very good listener."

"and strangely cool about bad stuff happening to their friends, but supportive." Huey said, "though I'm curious about what she said about a meteor and someone named Bec

Mabel:

Mabel smiled, reading the conversation between John and gardenGnostic, seeing how the green text is positive and supportive to their friend no matter how crazy John sounds.

She like people who are like that.

Which reminded her of the last thing she needs to do. Putting the last device, the Cruxtruder.

[294]

Dipper:

"And of course turntech comes back." Dipper bumps his head on the table, annoyed by the rapping, enough for him to skip their conversation.

Webby:

"That's a better idea," Webby said, "I think turntech did mention having a copy and not playing it, so he should get Rose into the game than John."

"Hopefully his brother can help him get his game." Huey said, "maybe he's a nice brother that helps with his problems"

Mabel:

"More of this guys raps," Mabel said before reading on how John wants turntech to get Rose into the game, finding it an interesting idea as it was similar to what she's doing with Webby.

Speaking of, she finds a good place to put the Cruxtruder, but it seems she needs to clear some room.

[OS-48]

Louie didn't want to be part of what Webby and his brothers are doing.

Instead, he decided to take a break and watch some Otterman Empire while drinking another can of Pep.

However, in the middle of the show, there was sudden breaking news.

"We come live outside Duckburg, where meteors are showing around the town," the reporter on TV said. "Nothing serious, but very strange."

"It's the end of the world!" Louie said, raising his can before drinking, "at least what Webby said.

"hold up…" the Reporter listen to her earpiece. Causing Louie to raise a brow towards the news, "okay… I just received news of a bigger, world-ending meteor heading towards Earth."

"Wait what?" Louie got up from her resting seat and locked towards the screen.

"And reports indicate that it's going to strike down at the McDuck Manor in Duckburg!"

"WAIT WHAT!" Louie shouted.

Right before he wobbled, unable to keep balance as he looked down and saw the sofa lifting up in the air.

"What's going on?!" he said, still in his seat before the sofa was flung back to the end of the room and into the main hall where Gyro was looking at the new white device, now looking at Louie recovering from being thrown away.

This left Gyro in utter confusion.

[295]

Dipper:

"At least you have a backup plan." Dipper said as the page goes back to Rose. "now you just need to get there."

Webby:

"oh right, battery power," Webby recalled, hoping for Rose to get back into the game with the backup computer

Mabel:

As Mabel sees the new page, she was instead pleased with what she did in the TV room, having the Cruxtruder in the middle of the room, having to move away a sofa to give space.

"There," she proudly said, pleased for what she did.

[296]

Dipper:

"just like Mabel, Rose can make a sweater for her laptop." Dipper said, "though I think the rain would soak the wool."

Webby:

"That's a nice cosy Laptop holder," Webby said, now thinking of making one for her laptop.

Mabel:

Looking back onto the pages, Mabel found a very great page that has a knitted cosy laptop holder. Which made her very happy and interested in Rose, even more, knowing that like her sweater making, Rose likes to knit.

[297]

Dipper:

"Oh, what's the worst that can happen." Dipper said, "I got my journal in my strife deck and it holds the strange stuff in Gravity Falls… which is now destroyed… I think…"

Come to think about it, the book might not be useful in this situation.

Webby:

"Yeah, even Scrooge wouldn't mess with magic." Webby pointed out, just when she got a pester notification from Mabel.

Mabel:

"I wouldn't mind," Mabel said towards the page, a little creeped out by the spooky stuff, but nothing serious, but curious towards what the book has inside that makes Rose not use it in her strife deck.

It's also a good time to pester Webby, letting her know that she got everything set up.

[OS-49]

Mabel: Pester Webby

- DipperSisterkitten [DS] began pestering GrandAdventureGirl [GA] –

DS: okay

DS: got everything ready

DS: everything else is up to you

GA: thanks new friend

GA: what do you think of the story so far

DS: being honest, I wasn't paying much attention

DS: but I do like the green person, the one who talked with John a couple of pages back

GA: by the way, Dipper prototyped his sprite

GA: he has Gnobilope

DS: a what?

GA: a creature that's part-gnome, part rabbit and part deer

GA: or part-gnome, part-jackalope if you know what they are

DS: so Dipper has a sprite too

GA: yeah

GA: though I can't see the other one anywhere

DS: Oh that's one with me

DS: and he's a pig-goat

GA: you mean a faunpig?

DS: I think so…

DS: wait, are pigs are people too?

GA: yeah,

DS: Okay, so it's not just ducks

GA: I guess

Suddenly, Webby got a pester notification towards a new player.

GA: Okay, got to go

GA: we got a new player and they're pestering me

DS: alright

DS: let me know who they are.

GA: will do!

[OS-50]

Webby: look at the new player

Webby looked at the notification from the new player, the one in red text. She looked at the name of the person

RacoonAuthority.

Webby shrugs towards the name, thinking that the person likes order and critters.

She accepts the pester and starts talking to the new person

- RacoonAuthority [RA] began pestering GrandAdventureGirl [GA] –

RA: HEY!

RA: THE F**K IS THIS CRAP?!

This left Webby in utter confusion.
