Act 2: Part 4

[OS-NOTE-1]

(before Lenasprite appears, she prototyped herself using a bear toy that was in Webby's room then return back, that way Webby doesn't accidentally prototype herself when she hugs her)

[OS-74]

The shipment appears in front of the manor.

First was Scrooge and Launchpad carrying a dumpster truckload of gold from his money bin

The second was Gyro having several inventions and spare parts,

And the third is Beakley who has crates of food supplies and survival gear.

All while Glomgold watches over the shadows. "What are you up to Scrooge," he said in a Scottish accent. Wondering why McDuck is taking all his gold to his home.

All while hatching a scheme to take it all and become the richest duck in the world.

After all the stuff was dumped inside the house, the truck and Gyro's car went away, the caretaker staying as she carries one of the crates inside.

"you are so stupid! I will wait and then take it all myself and that's what happens when you leave your gold defenceless!"

He starts to laugh as he was ready to take the gold

Until he fell through a hole.

[OS-75]

After the battle, Mabel and Wendy were relieved that they survived, along with the grist they got from defeating the imps.

"Well… that was fun," Mabel said, taking several breaths.

"Yeah…" Wendy said, "maybe we should head inside… you can read the story while I start barricading the house in case more of those things appear.

"Sounds like a plan!" the young girl smiled.

They went back inside and continue reading, with Mabel sitting on the living room couch to read Homestuck on the laptop

[398]

Everyone agrees it's just a stupid magnet

[399]

Dipper:

"\well… that's a problem," Dipper said, "hope the rain put it out."

Webby:

"Forest fire!" Webby shouted. "now that's something to be in."

"yeah, prefer not to be in a middle of a forest fire," Huey said, a little unsure about the idea.

Cartman:

"Haha, bitch is done for" Cartman chuckles

Mabel:

"Fight through the fire!" Mabel shouted, excited for what will happen next.

Only for her to be more excited about going back to John.

[400 - 404]

Dipper:

"Congratulations on defeating your first imp." Dipper smiled, proud of the kid.

"Yeah, done way better than Dipper over here," Pacifica comments causing the boy to blush in embarrassment.

"Hey!"

Webby:

"Victory!" Webby raise her hands in celebration, "now bunnyslam!"

Cartman:

"Spoken like Nic Cage himself," Cartman said. Remembering watching Con Air, "man that movie sucks…"

Mabel:

"That looks so harder than how we fought our imps." Mabel said, "then again, I had Wendy helping me.

[405 - 406]

Dipper:

Seeing this new concept, Dipper wondered if he has one.

In some way, he can sense his Echeladder

Since he technically strife with the imps and did attack, he managed to climb up one rung in his Echeladder.

At the same time, he notices he went from LITTLE LAMBY to CLUESTARTER.

"Guess the titles are different for each person," Dipper compares his to John's

Webby:

Seeing John levelling up, Webby was excited to see that there is a way to level up in this coming

Due to her being at the bottom of the Echeladder, she's currently under CHILD SAFETY RIDER but hopefully, become better when she enters the Medium.

She also notices that the more monsters she kills, the bigger the grist limit becomes, it gives her encouragement to start grinding.

Cartman:

"well that's a bit sweet," Cartman said, finding this sort of stuff interesting, especially with the idea of boondollars, fake money to get rich in kids style. That's what he likes

Mabel:

"Well, that's new," Mabel said, recalling that she had levelled up along with Wendy.

In her current role, she managed to climb up 8 rungs in her Echeladder, earning the title of HAPPY GIRL

She also wonders if Wendy has an Echeladder as well…

[407 - 408]

Dipper:

"So the imps have their strife specibus?" Dipper said, now curious to see if they would ever drop weapons and maybe to expand his strife specibus, give the imps weapons then let Webby crush them before retrieving their cards, that way he can use more cards.

Next time another wave of imps appears, he'll consider the option.

Webby:

"That's something interesting," Webby said, wondering similar ideas as Dipper's.

Cartman:

"As if a toy bunny would be useful in combat," Cartman said, skipping to the next page

Mabel:

"I would be fun to have Bunnykind" Mabel comments. Though wonder if any of the imps had dropped any cards, she doubts it since they weren't armed or anything. Such a shame.

[409 - 410]

Dipper:

"Again, why do you keep capchaloging if you keep throwing stuff away," Dipper complained.

Though he finds the repairs interesting.

Webby:

"so strife decks can change and weapons can be repaired. That's something to consider," Webby said.

Cartman:

"Whatever…" Cartman skip the pages

Mabel:

"that looks easy," Mabel said, not saying a lot about the page.

[411]

Dipper:

"agreed," Dipper said.

Webby:

"Dave's stuff isn't nonsense" Webby complained.

Cartman:

"Hey, f**k you John," Cartman said, a little angry from that remark.

Mabel:

"Good to see more Dave again," Mabel said, clicking onto the next page.

Only to be disappointed.

[412]

(nothing much to say on this page)

[413]

Dipper:

"Even though it's raining and there's a fire…"

Webby:

"Agreed with Rose here," Huey said, "never bring generators inside a confined space. Even if the outside seems problematic."

"Okay… but why bring the cord inside?" Dewey was confused about that part. "There can't be electricity inside a Mausoleum.

Cartman:

"Okay, time to be in this grave thing," Cartman said before hearing a creak from his door, he quickly turns around after clicking the button.

Mabel:

"now this seems a bit scary…" Mabel said, "I like it!"

[414]

Dipper:

"Again… your mother is weird…" Dipper said before turning to Pacifica, remembering how Rose seems to be modern rich, "is your parents this weird?"

"I don't know… maybe to you…" Pacifica said, "to me, your lifestyle is weird."

Webby:

"Nothing makes things better but to use a taxi…"

"Webby, you can't say this is better," Dewey said, as the triplets all equally agree that this was very unsettling.

"hey, it would be interesting to be stuffed after death…" Webby said, "oh, maybe that can be one of my wishes for my demise! Like Stan's third twin over there"

Webby then shows Stan giving a thumbs up, "he looks so identical to his brother."

"Uhh… that's a wax figure…" Huey pointed out.

Cartman:

"Mr Kitty!" Cartman said, happy to see his pet cat.

Usually, he would yell at him when she wanted his food, but for this occasion, he was happy to find someone to share his experience of reading this story with.

"Up you go Mr Kitty," he said with the cat on his lap. "and just in time, Rose just defile the tomb of her dead cat!"

Mabel:

"at least it was a very respected death…" Mabel thought, a little surprised but sees this as showing how much the mother loved the cat.

[415]

Dipper:

"Well at least you can help John" Dipper said

Webby:

"She's back online!" Webby was happy to see this

Cartman:

"whatever…" Cartman wasn't pleased to see John.

Mabel:

"and now you can see what John is up to" Mabel comments.

[416 - 417]

Dipper:

The two pages of John shows him getting hit by a bucket.

Dipper nor Pacifica laugh at this as it was a cliché joke at this point.

"well… that's a bit uncalled for," Pacifica said, not understanding the joke entirely as Dipper does, who knows what it is and not really amusing.

Webby:

Webby and the triplets laugh at the bucket while Lena snickered at the scene.

"about time…" the sprite said.

Cartman:

Cartman laughed at the bucket spill.

"take that for being lame!" Cartman said as he continues laughing.

Mabel:

Mabel laughed at the bucket spill.

"gosh that is so hilarious!" she said "Nice prank!"

[418]

Dipper:

"there's that ghost woman…" Dipper said, "or sprite… John's sprite."

"Shmebusprite!" his sprite calls out.

Webby:

"huh… so that's John's sprite." Webby said turning to hers. "like you Lena."

"more or less" the bear duck answered. "

Cartman:

"oh damnit! This song sucks!" Cartman shouted clicking to skip the music but it was only a few more seconds before the page changes.

"AAAAAHHHHHH!"

Mabel:

"and here we have the old woman clown!" Mabel said, "just like my pig-goat sprite."

At that moment, Wadpersprite appears and gave a smile to Mabel.

[419]

(Many skip this scene as they care more about John's part than Rose and Dave's)

[420]

Dipper:

"So that's John's grandmother," Pacifica said, a little unsure about the look, it creeps her out.

"yeah…" Dipper said, reading the dialogue thoroughly, as he feels that he's going to get information from the sprite woman.

He pulls out his book from his strife deck and gets himself ready to write some interesting information.

Starting with the first two words from an underlined statement

The Medium.

Webby:

"The Medium" Webby said turning to Lenasprite, "that's where we're going right?"

"Pretty much…" Lena said. "keep reading…"

Cartman:

Cartman read a bit from this new jokester jester, finding her a little funny

Mabel:

"Huh…" Mabel was curious about this page, just when Wendy enters the living room.

"Alright, boarded up the windows, those monsters are not going in anytime soon."

"Great timing," Mabel said, "I think something important is going to be shown here, join me."

"Not like I got anything else to do." Wendy smile.

[421]

Dipper:

"You think that happened to your uncles?" Pacifica asked, reading the first bit of forces of darkness kidnapping John's father.

"Maybe…" Dipper said. He reads more and found it very interesting, starting with how the game served as a gateway, which doesn't surprise him. Heck, he once fought a dating sim who became obsessed with Soos so nothing really should surprise him at this point.

Webby:

Huey wrote the starting information down, who without anyone else noticing, was getting ready to write information down.

"Quick note, when we arrive there, be sure to keep Scrooge and the rest of the adults safe," Huey said with everyone nodding in agreement.

"Chances are Donald would be the first to get caught" Louie commented.

Cartman:

"So his dad was taken away by those imps?" Cartman chuckled, now getting interested in this information.

Mabel:

"Poor John's dad," Mabel said, feeling a little sad and hoping that he would be alright.

"looks like we're going to dive deep into where he is…" Wendy pointed out before looking around, "and where we are…"

The two look closely, knowing that the next page will reveal the 'Big picture'.

[422]

Dipper:

In the first part of the tale, Dipper wrote several parts about Skia, the forces of light and the forces of darkness.

This will be important information for him to figure out and something that might be happening where he is.

He still has many questions, but this was only the start.

Webby:

Webby and the triplets read about Skaia, Huey putting down information while everyone thinks about the tale.

"So… it's a dark vs light tale…" Webby said. "Nice…"

Lena sigh in relief after Webby click on the Next button, she can't tell Webby about what Skaia is.

Cartman:

"Great, boring exposition," Cartman said, already clicked skip but read some while he waits for others to finish reading. "These people are already lame reading this crap."

Mabel:

"This is certainly stuff Dipper would love reading," Wendy said.

"Well, he is reading it, wherever he is…" Mabel said, happy that even if Dipper is away from her, she still got someone to talk to.

[423]

Dipper:

"and I guess until we showed up as well." Dipper pointed out. Having a feeling that there has to be a connection between John and this tale.

Though still questioning how his arrival changed everything, maybe to be a hero of light to fight the darkness.

That sounds like a key related video game.

Webby:

"So the forces of darkness and forces of light had always been in a stalemate until John arrived…" Dewey said, interested in this tale.

"Sounds cool," Webby comments, "shows that the game has meaning towards him."

"And if we're playing the same game, towards us," Huey said.

"Towards the players actually," Lena said, "Webby is the Knight here, everyone else is just… bystanders at best…"

Cartman:

"Forces of light and darkness, blah blah blah, get to the good part!" Cartman complains.

Mabel:

"A game of chess with two kings, that would be fun to play."

"But that would keep in a forever stalemate as the grandma suggested." Wendy pointed out.

"It's not about the game Wendy, it's about having fun with it…"

[424]

Dipper:

Reading the next part, this suddenly clear many things, mostly for why the imps were dressing up as gnomes.

He looked up and saw Shmebusprite, recalling what he looked like before this 'hatchling' meaning there won't be any jackalope qualities but qualities from Shmebulock, and to an extent, the Gnome race.

However, there were also pig and goat appearances, recalling Mabel having a sprite that's prototype her pet pig and the goat. Meaning that had a hatchling as well.

This is somewhat troubling and something to warn about when he talks to Webby, Cartman and the remaining two players.

For now, he has an idea of what's going on outside, but not towards where he is.

Webby:

Everyone was frozen when they saw this page, reading its information.

For Webby, it suddenly made her realise why the monsters were dressing up as gnomes, because of Dipper's gnome sprite.

But it also means something much scarier.

"Le…" she turns to her friend… "Lena… is this true…"

The sprite looks at her friend and sighs, "unfortunately yes… when we enter the Medium, I will have this hatchling and it will prototype both the forces of light and darkness, meaning they will share parts of… me…"

Lena didn't know about this part, how would she? She was trying to find a way out of the Shadow realm and believed that being a prototype can bring her back to the physical world.

"After being prototyped, the second thing was knowing that the imps, the forces of light and darkness are going to have many things that share my being, the monsters you fought, they're going to have the same clothes, the same hair, the same qualities of a duck… I'm not sure, but I really hope they don't share the same powers. If I knew this before, I wouldn't prototype myself."

"well, it's done." Webby said, "even then, it wouldn't matter, you are here and that's what matters."

Lena smile, "thanks… and even if I can't change things… I'll use this newfound power to help you with your quest…"

Cartman:

"So dark is going to win…" Cartman said, thinking about the concept of light losing in this scenario.

If he is really going to play this game, he might as well be part of the winning side.

He also has to think about stuff that he can prototype with.

He snickered with a couple of ideas…

Mabel:

"Well, that explains why the monsters look like pigs and goats," Wendy said.

"Yeah…" Mabel said, seeing her sprite and think about how the hatchlings are going to affect where she is.

"If I knew this, I would of prototype something else, something I can fight. But I don't mind what I fight."

[425]

Dipper:

"Is this happening for me Shmebusprite?" Dipper asked.

"Shmebusprite!" he answered.

Dipper sighs, "I'll take that as a yes"

He thinks about the portals above the shack, the building stuff does sound like something Webby has to do and explain the connection.

However, he needs to consider his Ultimate Riddle.

A start of a new mystery.

Webby:

"And you will have one too…" Lena said, "however don't ask me any questions, because we haven't arrived, I don't know much about your land to understand the Ultimate riddle, just that I know you'll have one."

"Okay." Webby said, "and I guess I'm responsible for building Dipper's tower so he can get up towards those gates! That will be exciting."

"I could help with some architecture work," Huey said, "I can ensure everything stays stable as possible."

"yeah, we can turn the tourist trap into a tourist tower!"

"wait did you say tourist trap?" Louie said.

Cartman:

"Riddles… really?" Cartman raises a brow at this, "though building houses would be pretty sweet, especially tall ones."

Mabel:

"Guess the same for me as well right?" Mabel said.

"I'm afraid not." Wadpersprite answered, catching the girl off guard. "your brother is doing this while you have a more… unique objective."

"Really?" Mabel asked, curious about this unique objective.

"Yes… as you have your way to solve the Ultimate Riddle, for now, my lips and sealed for the moment, oink!"

"Then what do we do."

"We sail!"

Mabel and Wendy look at each other.

"But sail where…"

"to our destination!"

That wasn't helpful…

[426 - 427]

Dipper:

This was very much confirmation that Dipper's world was done for.

This also means that Dipper isn't going to see anyone who wasn't in the shack ever again.

"So that's just it…" Dipper said, "Mom… dad… people in gravity falls… people around the world…"

"My parents…" Pacifica added, with the two looking at each other. "if anything… I'm probably a poor orphan girl, the thought of it already scares me."

"Welcome to the club," Dipper said. Causing the blonde to feel even sadder.

Seeing her expression, Dipper felt guilty for saying it, "sorry…"

"it's alright…" Pacifica said, "and who knows… maybe all of this can work out in the end. I… I think I need some time alone…"

And with that, Pacifica left the room, more likely heading towards the living room to spend time for herself or check-up with Soos.

Dipper respect her choice and maybe it would be good for her.

A bit of alone time can also work for him… as he still needs stuff to process.

Webby:

Seeing the bearer of bad news, everyone in the room suddenly realises a harsh truth.

"Our world is doomed after all…" Louie said, "I know we fought some apocalypses before, but this feels like a real end of the world."

"Yeah…" Huey said, "hey… do you think we can save people?"

Everyone looks at the red triplet, "just saying, this manor is big enough, we might get everyone in Duckburg to survive."

"As much as I want to agree with you Huey… we can't…" Lena said, confusing disbelief towards the sprite, "what's done is done and all we can do is get away from the danger. Besides…"

Lena looks at the time remaining, around 40 minutes left "I don't think we have enough time to save everybody…"

Cartman:

Cartman looks at this information about Earth being done for. He read the information given and from what the other person told him.

That his world is going to end.

And this gave him a great idea.

"When everyone shows up at this party, they're going to have a real surprise…" he chuckles evilly.

Mabel:

Mabel had read the information about her world being doomed, but hearing it here, that her world is done for… it suddenly made her realise the people who weren't in the shack.

"Wait… so everyone we know… is gone?" Mabel gasp.

"Yep!" Wadpersprite answered without remorse.

"So… my parents, Candy, Grenda… my crushes, they all."

"Baah, yep"

"And my dad… my brothers?" Wendy said,

"Yep!"

This was very depressing for the girls, realising that most of the people they love are gone, Wendy, she the only surviving member of her family while Mabel is not only a recent orphan, but had lost two of the best friends in the world.

They needed time to think about this, Mabel clicks onto the next page, knowing that people are going to wait while they try to process this.

It was too much…

[428 - 430]

nothing much to say on this page as it was just a confusing moment of John hating baked good for some reason, though the people who see this page were confused or too busy

[431]

Dipper:

"Once again, I don't understand you, John," Dipper said.

Webby:

"Is he arguing about cookies?" Webby questions this, "cookies are good, why don't you like baked goods?"

Cartman:

"wow. This guy sucks…" Cartman said, shocked for John to turn down something that sounds delicious.

Mabel:

"But they're cookies! That would be a wonderful treat!" Mabel complains. "everyone loves cookies!"

"Unless there are raisins in them," Wendy pointed out.

"Good point."

[432]

Dipper:

"Believe me, I know." Dipper said, finishes up writing everything he knows based on what the Nanasprite said. "and I think we all need time to contemplate…"

Webby:

"Contemplate is a good word to describe all of this," Huey said finishing up writing the information about Skia, the battle and sprites.

"To be honest, there aren't many people we know that would be lost…" Webby said, "just going to miss so many adventures and mysteries," the girl duck sighs towards the thought, "but at the same time, we can still figure out this ultimate mystery…."

Cartman:

"You do that, b*tch," Cartman said, stroking his pet cat.

Mabel:

"Yeah, what she said…" Mabel said towards the word 'contemplate' which she doesn't know what it means but have a feeling it means thinking about stuff.

[433]

Dipper:

"and she's talking to her dead cat." Dipper throws his hands, "great…"

Webby:

"how is that the cat's fault?" Webby questions, "if anything, his burial place was good, since it gave you power when you need it."

Cartman:

"shut up, don't talk to cats that way!" Cartman said to Rose.

Mr Kitty growls from that remark.

"Shut it Mr Kitty!"

Mabel:

"What did the cat do?" Mabel asked, a little confused. But just click onto the next page wanting to see what happens next.

[434 - 438]

The pages are just a series of John getting angry over baked goods

[439]

Dipper:

"There's no point guy from the future…" Dipper said before clicking on the link to show more stuff that's happening, from finding food and a weird book about human etiquette.

Webby:

"There's a book about human etiquette?" Huey said, "I would read that to see how similar they are compared to ducks."

"Based on what we seem, they seem to be the same as us," Louie said sipping Pep, "I wouldn't be surprised if the difference between us is the species."

Cartman:

"As if I care about this asshole," Cartman said, skipping the next page and not clicking on the link to show more.

Mabel:

"Hey, it's the future guy." Mabel said, "the voice for John… and he just found food, good for him!"

This made her a little curious about what's happening in the future.

[OS-76]

Years in the future...

But really not enough to write home about.

An old man guides a Haysal out of the dark and towards the light as they leave the bunker and travel till they found a large cylinder.

"Come on!" he said, "we need to go inside to travel."

The Haysal just goes along with the ancient old man.

[440]

Dipper:

"Another long instruction," Dipper spoke, reading it entirely and taking his time to understand what Rose could understand.

There was also an interesting part about what happens when kernel sprites had been prototype once or twice or not at all before entering the medium, based on the features of the creatures and knowing about his and his sister's sprites, he would guess that his case would be the only prototype once and Mabel's being prototype twice.

He wasn't sure about not prototyping at all and it sounds risky.

Either way, after reading it, then jotting it down on his journal, he clicks on the next page.

Webby:

While Huey and Webby were reading much of it, Dewey and Louie weren't bothered to read since it seems too long for them.

Lena decided to give a summary for them to understand.

"it talks about how Kernelsprites work, and how players can prototype them," she explained,

Cartman and Mabel:

"too long!" both Cartman and Mabel said in near sync as they look at the page and decided to skip it despite taking a little longer to change. They would read it later when someone else put it out.

[441 - 442]

Dipper:

Dipper look at the next two pages, surprise to see snow, but interested in GG, it feels a little strange and was cautious towards the fourth player, as though she knows more about SBURB than Rose. Especially when this was months ago.

Webby:

"is it me, or does this GG person know more than we do?" Louie asked.

"it does feel like it." Huey said, ", especially on the cat part. It would make sense for her to revive her dead cat."

Cartman:

"Would be nice to bring a kitty back to life." Cartman smiled.

Mabel:

"More GG," Mabel said, "and… wow… she's a little confusing… but in a fun way!"

[443]

Dipper:

"I don't think you need that katana" Dipper suggested.

Webby:

"Always come prepared!" Webby smile towards Dave getting his weapon.

Cartman:

"Sweet choice dude" Cartman comments, happy to see Dave again.

Mabel:

"Oh right, the spare sword," Mabel reminded herself and was happy to see the cool dude again.

[444]

Dipper:

There wasn't much for Dipper to describe what he just read, only to accept that Dave is just going to talk about rap references.

But at least he knows where he is, seems to be on the top of a high apartment, with the bar way down low. With where he is being very hot.

Webby:

"So he lives in those apartment buildings," Dewey said, curious towards the cool dude, "and meters have already hit his hometown.

"And it's really hot there," Webby said, describing what she sees.

Cartman:

"Woah…" Cartman can only say towards the scene that shows where Dave is. Interested that he's in an apartment complex and that the bird is way down on the buildings.

Mabel:

"Dropping those poetic raps in the city," Mabel smiled, a little interested towards where Dave is, she could feel the heat of the place by looking at it.

"worse than the summer heat in Gravity Falls" Wendy comments.

[445]

not much to say, but they find the puppet poster very weird.

[446- 447]

Dipper:

"And now we enter the room of Dave's brother," Dipper said, somewhat worried due to the information of puppets that he liked, stuff that creeps him out, especially the puppet Mabel made when she dated that puppet guy.

Webby:

"Doing it to be the games," Webby said, a little curious but a little shaken when she saw the weird puppet.

The triplets felt nearly the same.

Cartman:

"You just entered and already Mr T puppet," Cartman said, "now I want to know what your bro is like…"

Mabel:

"Oh, this is going to be interesting," Mabel said, getting herself ready to see more of the next pages and curious about what Dave's bro is like and his interest, all she knows is that he likes puppets.

[OS-77]

Right when Scrooge brought in the second truckful of gold, Glomgold had woken up from his fall.

"Uh… what happened?" he said, looking around the place, finding himself in a dark cave.

He pulled up a flashlight to get at least some source of light and look around to where he is.

"Alright, Scrooge," he said, "what are you up to this AH!"

He was suddenly jumped, letting go of the flashlight before picking it up to look at what scared him.

It was an entrance of some sort, but above this entrance was a giant head of a frog.

Taking a breath and curious about this seemingly ancient ruin, he enters hoping that inside could be a treasure.

End of Act 2: Part 4
