Hello Fallen Ones! Guys! I'm back! I promised a reader I would have this chapter done before school got out, and I didn't break that promise! I finished it and got it proofread on the last day, so technically I finished it in time! It would have been typed faster, but I had my birthday on the 4th (turned 18! I get to go skydiving for my birthday!), started college on the 6th, and graduated on the 9th with open houses all weekend, but I'm back! Anyway, this is a looong chapter. 4,505 words. That's almost 8 whole pages of a Word doc. I hope you enjoy!

~Rin's POV~
'Nnngn… Where am I?' Rin finally started to regain a form of consciousness. Rin looked around, but couldn't see anything but white ground and darkness everywhere. 'Why is it dark?'
"Hello?! Anyone here?! Where am I?!" he called out in confusion as he looked around. He was met with the echo of his own voice before he saw a red glow come from his right. "Hello?" Rin called, walking towards the glow without question.
'Maybe whatever is there can tell me where I am?' As Rin got closer, however, he saw a familiar figure. 'Is that me?'
Rin tilted his head in confusion. "Hey are you me?" he asked the person. They had longer hair and a slightly more toned build, but they still undoubtfully looked like Rin.
"Heh," the person smirked, glancing at Rin over his shoulder out of the corner of his eye, "I guess you could say that."
The figure turned to Rin fully, so Rin was met with eyes the color of blood with a hypnotic, intoxicating allure to them. He did have a similar build to Rin, but that was as far as the similarities went. The stranger's hair reached his shoulders, gelled in a spiky upward swoop on one side, and fringed stylishly on the other, while seeming to perfectly balance all the hair colors in existence with each reflection of the light. His eyes were somewhere between Rin in Yukio's in terms of shape, if a bit more feline, and his face seemed to balance all the best parts from various countries. He was dressed in an androgynous form of the bad boy rocker style that seems to never leave style, with his shirt open to reveal perfectly toned abs. Rin honestly would have thought him a god if not for the demonically pointed ears with a red stud in the left one, the demonic tail swaying behind him, and the stranger's smirk as a response to Rin's eyes roving his body revealed two demonic fangs.
"Hello, Rin. Glad to finally meet face to face," he spoke with a huskily seductive voice that Rin knew well, and snapped him out of his trance.
"Ren?!"
"In the flesh," Rin's demon side smirked.
"Holy shit, you're hot!" Rin exclaimed bluntly.
Ren's laugh matched the rest of him. "Well, I am the embodiment of Lust since the beginning of time. I kinda have to be."
"I've only ever seen your eyes though. Why can I see all of you now? Where even are we?" Rin asked his other side.
Ren glanced away guiltily for a moment. "This is what I guess could be called your demon half. This is where I reside most of the time, and for the first fifteen years of your life."
Rin looked around at the darkness and frowned. "Seems depressing."
"Nah," Ren shook his head with not a single hair going out of place. "This is where your more sinful thoughts and ideas go. It was interesting to see the human perspective on things. Waiting for you to gain a thought other than 'Ooh, pretty, shiny, hungry, poopy'" he did a mocking baby voice for this, "was absolute hell but once you were introduced to the evils of the world, it was fun. Sure, every time someone hurt us I wanted to bust that fucking sword and destroy them as they deserved, but eventually it became obvious to even me that you had it covered. For every thought or emotion you have had, there has always been a pure, human one right next to it." Ren laughed now, "It was almost sickening how pure you were, but even I have to admit that it was refreshing."
Through this Rin could honestly do nothing, but stare at his other side in shock. Never in his life had anyone said anything this nice about him, not even the Old Man who seemed to always believe in him. Rin beamed at Ren, 'Finally someone understands.'
"Thanks, man."
Ren grinned back at him, "Hey, Lust has to protect each other. We've always been the best at that. That's how this set up even happened. I died fifty or so years ago trying to protect my mate, just like you do your friends and family. You belong in this clan."
'Belong,' Rin hadn't heard that one before. One of us, from his class mates maybe. Friends, sure. But never 'belong'. His own twin treated him like a monster until he became one himself, and still kind of does. Rin's smile grew, "Belong."
"Especially after what was in here when you hit puberty," Ren smirked. "You're a little perv, you know?"
Rin flushed red, "Shut up you! I was a horny teenager!"
"You still are a horny teenager," Ren ruffled Rin's hair as new and old fantasies appeared in the room upon being mentioned. "But that's okay. If you ever need to blow off steam, come in here and you can indulge in…whatever that is. Shit internet, I didn't even learn that existed until I was 212 in LA in the 60's. Oh yeah, you'll do just fine." Ren laughed as Rin tried to avoid looking at anything.
"Shut up," Rin pouted, but chuckled too. "So why am I here, anyway?" Rin asked, looking Ren in the eyes.
Ren's smile fell as he looked away from Rin. "For protection. We were afraid you'd break."
Rin frowned in confusion. "Why would I break? What happened?" he asked, moving Ren's hand off his head.
"…Well… I haven't had blood in sixteen years, and we were using a lot of still relatively new to you powers all at once, and then there was the shock in…Shiemi's? head, and well…" he kept looking anywhere but Rin.
Rin was scared now. "Ren? What did we do? What does blood have to do with anything?"
"Right. We decided not to tell you…" Ren sighed. "Well I guess we have no choice now. Rin. The Lust Clan is where the vampire legends come from…"
Rin was momentarily confused before he thought about it and it clicked in his head before his face fell into horror and disbelief, "No."
Ren nodded, "That includes the blood drinking."
Rin suddenly felt sick, "Ren, please tell me we didn't."
"I moved you here before you could see so you wouldn't feel guilty when I accidentally took over…"
"Ren, what happened?" Rin asked again weakly. Of course, light chose to pierce the darkness then, and Ren's voice started drifting.
"I'm sorry! Focus on me to come back here if you need me to handle things!"
"Ren!" Rin yelled as he sat bolt upright, or tried to at least.
"What the hell?!" Rin struggled against the chains holding him to the desk, "What's going on?! Why am I chained to a desk?! Ow! With runes?! Hello?!" Rin kept yelling and struggling I hopes of someone freeing him.
"Are you always this loud when you wake up?" a voice monotoned.
"Amaimon? Did you do this?! Let me out! What's going on? What happened?!" Rin barraged the green haired demon with question, secretly glad to hear he's there.
"Yes, it's Amaimon. Technically yes, but only because Nee-san told me to for your safety and ours. I will when you calm down." Amaimon answered, monotonously lumping the last three questions together.
Rin stilled, trying to calm himself. 'Please let them be okay.'
When he did calm down finally, Amaimon snapped his fingers to release the chains." I have to leave you in the runes."
Rin sat up with a huff, but sighed in understanding. "What happened?" he asked again.
"Blondie cut her hand, you or Ren as I guess he's called now, maybe both, went ballistic, attacked Blondie, mind controlled her and Rooster, knocked out Kimi-nee, held Blondie hostage, cuffed little Okumara, he escaped, cut his wrist to get you away from Blondie, and you lost your hold on her mind. She then jumped in between you and your twin, thinking you were fighting, so you threw her in your flames and had your way with your brother against the chalkboard, where the others took the opportunity to get me. I covered Blondie in my flames to prevent further damage, and had them contact our oldest sister, Sloth, who made you sleep. Your brother then passed out from blood loss and pheromone withdraw, but woke up a while ago, and is explaining the situation to your classmates," Amaimon explained in a few blunt, monotone run-ons that would make any editor cringe.
Rin instead sat there in shock, not believing what he had heard. "Heh, you're joking, right?"
Amaimon blinked, "I already told you, you are talking to Amaimon."
Panic set over Rin. "You have to be kidding. I would never do any of that. You have to be joking," Rin whimpered.
Amaimon just shook his head, "Nope. You almost killed your friend, and drank from your brother while giving him a hand job against the chalkboard in front of your whole class. It will be surprising if they don't vote to kill you, and a miracle if they do not hate and/or fear you." He monotones none too gently.
Rin tucks his knees to his chest as Amaimon speaks, trying to remember any of it, but he can't. "I…I don't remember any of this," he groans.
Amaimon shrugs, "Believe what you want. Blondie has the third degree burns and coma to prove it if you need, and so does your twin with the bite marks on his neck."
Rin paled further, "Shiemi's in a coma?" he asks weakly. Amaimon nodded, and Rin started freaking out. "No! You're lying! I wouldn't do that!" Rin yells at Amaimon as he sits up, "Let me out! Let me see her! Maybe I can help? Let me out!" He pounds his fists against the barriers keeping him on the desk as his eyes flash red.
"Most definitely not with that happening!" Yukio roars at Rin as he walks into the classroom from setting Anri up in a room.
Rin's eyes flash to Yukio and then his neck, looking for proof. Yukio seemed to realize what he was looking for too as he pulled down the collar of his shirt to show him the bite marks, and Rin immediately stopped his struggling at the sight of them, a small part of him pleased at leaving them there, but mostly he was devastated at the confirmation of what he had done.
His scarlet eyes faded back to blue then as he slumped back, using the barrier as a prop up while he covered his face. "What have I done?"
"I already told you," Amaimon monotoned.
Rin winced at that and heard Yukio sigh. 'He couldn't have been a bit gentler? …It's Amaimon, what am I saying?' He heard Yukio think.
'Great. Now I can't eve control my powers again,' Rin thought bitterly as Yukio spoke.
"Amaimon, thank you for your help today, but can you please leave me with my brother? I need to talk to him and you're not the most tactful of people to be around him right now."
Rin looked up long enough to see Amaimon shrug, and go to leave, "Pin-…Amaimon?" The older demon glanced back at him as acknowledgement. "You said you saved Shiemi?"
"Technically," he nodded.
"Thank you for that," Rin sighed.
"She gave me ca- Oh," Yukio had thrown a piece of chalk at him with a look that said to cooperate, "…I think the phrase is 'You are Welcome'?"
Rin let out a small puff of air meant to be a laugh as Pinhead left through an air vent, and Rin waited for Yukio to speak. Yukio sat in the chair in front of Rin with a sigh, but didn't say anything for a while, just resting his head in his hands. 'He's probably trying to decide how to tell me about my death sentence.'
As more time passes with nothing said, however, Rin grows more uncomfortable, 'Just say something!'
"Shiemi is recovering. I let Konekomaru stay with her in case she wakes," Yukio spoke then as though reading his mind causing Rin to jump a bit at the break in silence.
He nodded with an awkward half-smile. "Good. I'm really glad to hear that. Maybe that will help Konekomaru too by staying with her. They are meant for each other after all…" Rin groaned at the end, covering his face once more. "Oh God. There's no way they'll forgive me this time."
"It is definitely going to take time if they decide to." Yukio nodded. 'Not that you deserve it.'
"I know I don't," he groaned.
Rin heard Yukio try to contain a growl now, "You can't even control your damn powers now! That surely won't help! As I've told Satan countless times, stay out of my head. The mild death threat my demon side decided to make is probably the only thing protecting you from being reported to the Vatican at this point."
Rin winced at being compared to Satan. 'He's right though.'
"You're demon side?" he asked instead.
"Thanks to blood loss I assume, my mental reserves seem to have been weakened enough for him to come out and speak his mind to the whole class that he thinks they are a bunch of dumbasses," Yukio sighs, holding his head in a hand, "God, I sound like a fucking psychopath."
Rin can barely hide his mild amusement at his calm, cool, and always in control twin finally losing control as he slumps in shame. "I guess I should thank him then since his threat is keeping me alive?"
"Damn right, Shr-"
"Would you shut the hell up!" Yukio snapped at what must have been his demon trying to speak out. "Can you be quiet for five fucking minutes today you prideful son of a bitch! Just accept the thanks and stay quiet." Yukio steamed with his eyes flashing a darker color of purple.
Rin to scooched as far back as the barriers on the desk would allow at the younger's outburst. 'I'm not drinking from him ever again…or blood ever again for that matter,' Rin thought, watching Yukio's expression change in what must have been an internal war.
'…Sorry Rinny…You've had a taste, and now the demon side of your body will need it to stay healthy and sane.'
'No~' Rin whined in response.
'Hey. Don't worry. If it's taken with consent, it can be nice for both parties, which is why we usually take blo-…consorts or use mind control. When taken without consent, it's only pleasurable while it lasts and while reactions vary, it usually all ends in the pissed off and grumpy attitude you see before you.' Yukio was now glaring ahead, looking overall pissed off. 'I would offer you my blood sl—sorry the new term is still pretty new—consorts, but they were humans, so they'd probably be anywhere from almost 60-80 years-old by now, and trust me when I say that blood is not wine and does not get better with age.'
Rin heard a half-gag in Ren's voice and shuddered a bit before Yukio speaks up again. "I would like to say I can't believe this happened, but it honestly doesn't surprise me with you. You've always had no self-control since we were children, and it has always gotten us into messes like this, but Fate would always bail you out for reasons I still don't understand," Yukio almost growled before he sighed in annoyance instead, obviously trying to regain control, "but Father isn't here anymore, and I don't have the influence to keep saving you so this better not happen again, or they will kill you."
Rin was silently curled in a ball, soaking in the words Yukio left unsaid.
"…reasons I still don't understand. Why go through the trouble?"
"…but Father isn't here anymore also because of you."
"…I don't have the influence to keep saving you, and I don't see why I should put my job and life on the line to do so. No one is here to tell me I have to protect you, and no one would question if I let you die."
"…they will kill you, and maybe I should let them if being a monster is the only thing your good for."
Yes, Rin had read his brother's mind again, but he hadn't meant to. His senses were in overdrive from the feeding, and he couldn't control it. 'I can't even control this one thing. Dammit! …He's right though...I am a monster. I always have been. I may be safe from the Vatican for now, but all my friends will hate me for sure this time…There's no way they'll forgive me this ti-'
'That's enough!' Ren cut into Rin's turmoil, and took over to defend his host.
"I swear to God you might be a bigger asshole than the last one! Listen here, you prideful son of a bitch, I may have been dormant for the first 15 years, but I know everything this kid did as a kid was to protect your sorry ass so tone down the sin and accept the fact you couldn't always defend yourself. And don't even try to blame Azamat because I know for a fact not even he was that bad. Let me just bring you down a few pegs right now. First things first, you were a big crybaby when you two were children. Do you honestly think he actually wanted to hurt any of those brats? Tch, you say he has no self-control, but he could have easily killed them, but he knew that would make you more upset and cause the priest more problems. You eventually became capable of defending yourself, but he still wanted to protect you because he is your older brother and that's what older brothers do. Even demons recognize this." Yukio looked shocked and mesmerized by the husky and admittedly cocky voice now coming from his brother, whose eyes were now glowing red. "Now, I don't know why the priest saved either of you, not even I can answer that, but I assume he saw something in you two. The both of you. You seem to trust you so much, but you keep questioning him more than you show this trust. Granted, his emotions did start the Satan stuff and I can't say I'm innocent, but if you want to blame anyone for the priest's death, blame our real father, and Do Not start being a little bitch about Satan not being your father. Suck it the hell up because news flash, sweetheart, he's in your DNA! Either one of you could have started it. I could sense you during the Impure King fight. You were awakening too. Slower than Rin, but you were still awakening. If we hadn't awakened when we did, given a strong opponent, you would ha-ck."
Ren's berating of Yukio was cut short by the younger breaking the seals in a burst of anger to grab the older by the throat with a snarl. It obviously wasn't hard enough to hurt him, just enough to shut him up, but by the dark purple in his eyes that signified Yukio and his demon were in agreement, Ren could tell he wanted to, and wouldn't hesitate if Ren didn't have Rin's face.
He couldn't help but smirk when Yukio confirmed it. "Listen here, demon. My brother's face is the only thing keeping me from breaking your neck like a twig right now, so I suggest you shut up, or, as you probably heard from the thought that you read like a leech, I will end you right now, and no one will even question it. With the state my students are in, all I'll have to say is that you went feral, pop a bullet in you, and no one will bat an eye. No one will even miss him, in fact, they'll probably be relieved. You hurt one of their own, they're probably fighting over who gets to kill you." Yukio growls at Ren harshly before slamming the other's head on the desk, "And wipe that smirk off your face, leech. What do you even have to be smirking about?"
"Heh. Just you proving me right. Now are you done with your tantrum?" Ren sighs, taking Yukio's hand off his throat with strength that obviously surprised the younger before holding it carefully. He still had enough hold to prevent a repeat attack, obviously, but he wanted the younger to understand that it wasn't meant to be a threat as he sat back up. "Now that we both have that off our chests, do you mind if I explain the situation? I sort of explained it to Rin, but with the guilt he's feeling and the negative thoughts he's having, I doubt he'll listen so I forced a switch. That and you needed to be brought down a bit. He can't hear anything either of us said due to a sort of sleep state so I want to tell you before I give him control back, okay? His health, mental state, and the safety of him and those around him depend on it, okay?"
Yukio narrowed his once-again turquoise eyes at Ren, but nodded for him to continue. "Alright…what do I need to know?"
"First off, he's going to need a consort, or someone willing to donate blood. The unfortunate circumstances were entirely my fault, I shouldn't have let him use so many new powers at once and should have better assessed the surroundings. I really should not have been surprised by what we say in Shiemi's head either. It's always the innocent ones and she's been around that fujoshi quite a bit." Yukio raised an eyebrow at this. "Anyway, this body has now had a taste of blood so he'll need it…half-demon…bi (?)-weekly," Ren calculated, "and after missions just to be safe in order to avoid a repeat incident. Basically if some red is bleeding into his eyes, it's probably time to feed. He doesn't want to, but he will become weak, ill, and crazy without it, so make a smoothie, milkshake, hell inject it in a Twinkie for all I care, but make sure he gets it. If you chose to get it from the source—as I know some like to put a face to the source—and the other party consents, then it can be quite pleasurable for both so make sure they are in complete consent, and don't have drugs or alcohol in their system, as that can affect us. If Mephisto can find my tsetse, I can even have my former second-in-command organize someone. We have a few small villages on this side of the Gate full of, to be blunt because I am getting tired of censoring myself for political correctness, human cattle that we take very good care of, so it's 100% consensual. They have complete control of these villages, and we have been helping them find their soulmates for generations so the blood is of the highest quality, and we only accept by volunteer and once they reach legal age of the given country though the youngest is still like 15 usually and they're matched and returned by 30." Ren explains in hopes of calming the disgust still on the younger's face to some effect. "I could even arrange a foreigner looking to come to Japan so we'll even be fulfilling someone's dream. No need to worry about a language barrier, by the way, we require every child to pick a second language to learn along-side their native one since children absorb such things better at a young age. The choice is ultimately up to him which option he picks, but my point is, Rin needs blood now, and I'm giving you some options so everyone is comfortable with whatever arrangement is made, okay?"
Yukio looked absolutely furious at the start of Ren's explanations, but as he further explained the circumstances and options, he at least began to look as though he was considering them before he finally sighed. "I'll discuss the options with Rin, and request Mephisto to find this tsantsa you mentioned…if it's the shrunken head I suggest you disguise it like Anri has…I suppose I should thank you for telling me all of this since it helps my brother so thank you I guess. I'll make sure he gets what he needs," Yukio nods.
Ren smiles kind of sadly, "Of course. Gotta look out for us. Thank you for listening…Now I'll tell you one more thing that I think you'll want to know since you listened." Ren sighed, watching Yukio try and fail to hide his interest. "Since Lust Clan feeds by harming the other, our blood can also heal. I don't know how much we can heal the burns being caused by Satanic flames, but Rin should be able to wake her up from her coma and heal some to most of the damage."
Yukio's eyes turned to saucers at this, "Why have I never heard of this?!"
"It's in the recent myths, and we don't exactly flaunt it. We usually erase their memory after. Plus, you'll want to quarantine her for about a week, given the chosen line of work, because if she gets killed, she'll come back as one of us," Ren warned.
Yukio's eyes immediately narrowed back to suspicion, but he still looked to be at least thinking. "I'll talk to my class because it sounds sketchy, but at the same time, I suppose you can't have a supposed miracle cure all without a drawback, especially when dealing with demons," the Dragoon sighed.
Ren nodded as a response, "Fair enough. The healing will be stronger if I'm out so if you want me or at any point need me out, just say prizyvat' (призывать)."
Yukio blinked, "Come again?"
Ren sighed, "Right. That's my language. It means summon or invoke, and is pronounced pri-zi-vite. Or if you need call anyone else quickly or call out Kimiko's demon side—with Kimiko's consent because you Do Not want to randomly call her—say… 'Evocare' and then the person or side's name. Then it's in your language. Kimiko's other side is Haruka by the way, but someone had better be dead or dying for her. Absolute EMERGENCY only to call out Haruka. She is strong, but she is freaking psychotic and near impossible to work with. Even your demon side is afraid of her to an extent. Understand all of this?"
Yukio nodded, "I understand. Thank you for this information."
"No problem," Ren sighed, "now I'm going to go back and let Rin get some actual rest. See you later cutie," he smirked lightly before laying down as Rin falls asleep, but not before missing Yukio's small blush.
Yukio sighed, shaking his head as he stood up to gather his brother, and head to their room, having some things to think about.
It was gonna be a long week.
Yay! Chapter done! I really hope you enjoyed! Let me know if I screwed up translations. I sinned and used Google Translate. What do you guys think of Ren's character description? I have been asked before if people could do fan art for scenes and I have said yes so if the desire is still there, I would definitely want to see people's take on him. Tag them to my fanfiction Tumblr on my bio! Also, with how things in life are looking so far it looks like I might have more time to write so maybe this will go smoother now? Even so, I feel I should also inform that my proofreader, Meagan, is going off to college in Texas and leaves the Saturday after this chapter is posted because she's wicked smart and got an almost full scholarship to Rice University (so proud of this bean)! I was gonna ask for a beta, but she says she still wants to be my proofreader so bear with us on this ~ please! I'll also came out as Gender Fluid last year, and will be getting my name changed here shortly, so that may take some time, and will probably result in some renaming here too. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed! I'll try to get the next chapter done soon! Until next time!
