Chapter 14

Now or Never: Part 2

And just like that, there I was, in my own suite.

Turns out, you had to have a card key in order to get this far on the elevator, for safety purposes. My manager led us all through a hallway while my men kept shielding my view from any onlookers.

We were taken to what appeared to be one of the highest floors. There were a couple of guards stationed outside that opened the doors to a second set of doors that led me into the room, I mean…suite I was in now. I still had my trench on as I sipped on a non-alcoholic mixed drink with one leg crossed over the other while I waited until my adrenaline settled down.

My manager was pacing back and forth having a conversation with someone on the phone while security guards checked around my room and some others stood outside of the door to keep watch. I could hear the faint noise of bumping from speakers. There was clearly a party going on nearby. What I thought to be trouble, was really my team much to my surprise.

Tony hung up the phone and glanced towards me, narrowing his eyes.

"What took you so long?"

His hair was smoothed back and he wore his usual black and gold shades. He wore a darker suited outfit with his designer watch and matching chain. One hand was in his pocket and he checked the time with the other.

"Hello, Tony. Nice to see you too. I thought this occasion was exclusive only."

"Change of plans. I made some moves to get you here. There are some things we need to go over…where is your sister?"

"Huh? She said she was exhausted and wanted to stay home. Destiny came by though." I tried to reason.

Tony looked over me up and down, looking for any discrepancies in my demeanor, "And you told them you were leaving?"

I could lie to a lot of different people, but Tony was not to be played with. I had to keep it cool.

"Yeah. They were cool with it." I lied.

"Well…" He crossed his arms, "I booked it because I thought you were bringing your sister, and Destiny too perhaps. There's a lot of room in here for more than one person."

Around the room, there was a flat screen TV with a real fireplace underneath. The floors were smooth beige polished marble. There was a living room area with sofas with a kitchen around the corner. I could see there was another bedroom across the hall.

I made a mental note to text Jeanette in the morning to tell her Tony had scheduled me a ride urgently for a business deal.

"I'll text her about it, maybe they can come by tomorrow. How many nights did you book?"

"Doesn't matter, I'll take care of it. In the meantime, I have your publicist here…" He gestured over to a beautiful brunette dressed business casual in white who waved at me, "... to go over a few things so we can make sure that your image stays in good grace with this whole visit to Eccentric and sudden arrival to GLP. We have to tackle your moves before the media does."'

"Why?"

"I saw you and your sister Jeanette on the news earlier."

"You did?"

"Everybody did. The grand opening was featured in News!Flash! And you two were some of the ones that arrived."

"I want you to fill me in with the event with your sister Eleanor. I heard some things and want to make sure they're facts, not fiction."

He was talking fast, everything was moving fast. Everyone was moving fast around us checking and securing the room. I folded my lips together and thought hard about what he said. Too much had happened. Too much I found out.

With a yawn, I replied, "Um..okay, I guess."

We took our places in the next room, sitting on the couches near the wide balcony which was opened to let the air in since it had stopped raining. These couches were a little too comfortable. I avoided looking at my phone fearing once I saw the time, I would sink into a deep slumber.

"Yes." Tony pulled up a chair from a nearby marble desk and checked the time again. He brought a long cigar out and lit it.

"So…" He took a puff and made a gesture in the air with the object, "Walk me through your whole night."

After about thirty minutes or so I had finished describing my entire night and much of my day to my manager and my publicist. Tony was in deep thought as I told him what happened at the restaurant with everyone. I did leave out the spicy details, of course.

But, everything from my leaving the production studio to arriving home and getting here was taken into account.

My publicist positioned herself towards me, "What did the reporter ask you?"

Clearing my throat, I sat up straight, "About… Eleanor and her restaurant and if we were happy for her."

"And what did you say?"

"I said…"

"So, Brittany and Jeanette…," the male reporter shoved the microphone in our faces before we could say anything, " You and your sisters must be very close I should say." We both looked at each other and Jeanette instantly nodded and gulped indicating that she would take over the questions.

"Oh yeah, Yeah. W-we are extremely close, we talk all the time.." Jeanette gave me a fake smile that I eagerly returned for the sake of the cameras, " Yeah um…

"But, what about Eleanor?" He pressed on urgently, still not hiding his smile and pressing the microphone even closer to our faces, "We've heard from an inside source that you and her don't exactly talk that much anymore. What do you have to say to that?!" I caught my breath in my throat and my eyes nearly popped out of my soul. "Wh-what are you talking abou-

Flash!

"So is that true? Are you guys not talking?!" He went onwards clearly liking the response I was giving him but I couldn't let him get any more shots of me like that, at this rate, I was gonna be in the tabloids tomorrow! The microphone was pressed up into my face even further.

One thing about News!Flash!, they're gonna flash those damn cameras in your face no matter what, that's for sure.

My manager pondered my story, nodding to himself, "So it looks like someone has been providing them with inside information about your home life? Their main concern is that there's reason to believe that there's tension with the Chipettes. What else?"

A bittersweet wave of emotion ran down my chest at the use of our old group name.

"They tried to do the same thing at our table, but Jeanette shut them down."

"Jeanette?" Tony blew a puff of smoke out the balcony window, "That's my girl. She's been finding her voice a lot lately."

I'll say. She stood up to me a couple times.

"Anything else we need to know?" My publicist pressed on, "Anything else you need to get off your chest?"

I couldn't tell her about Eleanor's secret, that was more of a personal matter. But, I still was disturbed by the person from the balcony. But, I was unsure of how to bring that up. I declined to answer.

"Well, someone clearly has some inside information that has been leaked and clearly wants to paint you as being the bad sister when these family affairs tend to go both ways." My publicist warned me as she took down some notes, "I don't mean to pry, but if an inside source has informed the media that you all don't speak it might be best for you to post a statement to your followers about the good time you had tonight, so it'll squash any naysayers. Do it tonight while it's trending. Make sure to tag your sister in it, whether she responds or not is irrelevant."

"I'll do it right now." I told her honestly. Clearly I needed more PR training because why didn't I think of that?

My publicist, who introduced herself as Cameron, thanked me and left the room with security. She told me to keep in contact with her in case anything should arise. As she did that, I clicked 'post' on the picture that Simon sent me earlier.

So proud of you both! Baby sister, I can't wait to see what you do next 3 elliesworld teddyseville #EccentricTaste #ANightToRemember

Tongue in cheek, I suppose a text wouldn't hurt either. So, I screenshotted it and dialed her number and tagged Theodore to make sure she got it. I didn't want any issues.

Had lots of fun tonight! We should all get together really soon!

-Brittany

Tony regarded me in deep thought. His eyes scanned over me as he folded a leg over another while he leaned back in his chair. We were sitting in the living room of the suite by the open balcony window still. I could hear a faint beat, there was clearly a party going on. My manager had lit his cigar again and took a few puffs, blowing a puff out the balcony. It smelled like a mix of earthy rainfall mixed with its vapor.

"Well, it looks like you had a nice simple day, huh kid?"

I shot him a death glare. "You're kidding, right?"

Tony didn't budge. He only half-smiled with the cigar in his mouth.

"There's something I have to tell you, though."

At that, he inclined his head at me, giving an upward nod, "What's going on?"

"I think someone may have tried to run me and my driver off the road tonight."

He paused, but didn't flinch, his hand still wrapped around the cigar in his mouth. "Do you remember what street you were on? Or what the car looked like?"

"No, but the highway was near route 101 right before where you can exit through Sunset."

He whipped out his phone, "Time?"

"Past midnight." I replied, "A little past 1am."

"Did you get the license plate?"

Shit! Did I?

"I think it ended in some numbers…310? Or 3L0?

At that, he put his cigar out.

Tony stood and pulled his chair towards me sliding it across the floor. He sat down and leaned forward, he reached towards me to where his rough hand checked over my face. The scent of smoke and cologne lingering.

"I'll have to look into it. How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine. I swear." I told him and he took his hand away. But, I could already feel a few tears starting to form, but I fought to hold them back from fall. Tony sighed harshly, the last rounds of smoke exiting his lips. He thought for a minute, clasping his hands together before bringing his face up. Sharp, yet tender brown eyes met warm, yet firm blue irises.

"I know this industry can get dirty, but I'm glad you're okay. I'll hire an investigator and they'll have to get some information out of you. Do you want extra security in the meantime?"

"Please."

"No problem. I want you to feel safe."

Tony scooted back and crossed one leg over another again and checked the time and made a note to his virtual watch to remind him to carry out this task.

Swinging my legs back and forth, I did feel a little bit safer. I yawned again. And again, covering my mouth. If I sank into these lovely feathered couches for one more second I was gonna start snoring. "Is there anything else you wanna know, I'm so beat from today."

"Yes." He brought his gaze towards me and raised a brow, "How was Julio when you asked him to pick you up?"

"He was fine, he came. He was quick, but kept asking so many questions." I rolled my eyes, waving my hand, "Can you take care of him, please? I promised I'd spot him for having to turn around so late in the night."

"There's no need for that. Julio texted me and said that he is quitting, effective immediately."

"He what?! Why?" My thoughts ran faster than me circulating trying to form an answer or an excuse."...Was it something I said?"

Tony leaned forward in his seat and locked eyes with me and folded his hands together, "Remember what I said earlier today? How come that didn't register?"

"How come what didn't register?" I was being defiant now, because I was pissed off.

Tony narrowed his eyes down at me, and I bit my lip. "Did you at least tip him?"

"Yes." I told him, but his sharp eyes remained focused on me until I couldn't take the tension. I huffed and readjusted myself on the couch cushions before muttering, "No."

He pressed further, "And how come?"

"He was gonna get paid either way! Is he really upset at me calling in a ride, isn't that what you wanted me to do? It wasn't my idea. Is that what he's mad about?"

"You're forgetting what I told you earlier of what happens when you treat the people around you the way you do. Sooner or later, they won't wanna work with you anymore and we'll be in the scenario that we're in now. You need to play chess, not checkers, especially with who you are involved with. Pay things forward. That goes with behavior and financial benefits. It's how you play the game. That's what this whole business is about. Be ahead of the game because not everyone around you wants you to succeed, but not everyone out here is out to get you."

I had struggled to contain myself, but now I was losing the battle and now tears had been falling down my place and I was frantically whipping them away. Tired couldn't begin to describe how my body was feeling.

"What about the driver that tried to run us off the road? You know my limo has my name on it."

"We'll take care of that. But, going forward…" Tony went over to the boudoir to the other side of me and grabbed a few tissues off of the counter and pressed them onto my dampened cheeks, "...and I need you to be smarter about your interactions. Start opening up the way you did for me tonight and stop being so private, especially around people you know you can trust. If you can't trust anyone, you'll lose your sense of security."

I sniffed and took the tissue and cleaned the rest of my face. I was perplexed at this knowledge. He was right, I hadn't been honest with everyone and constantly had my guard up. It was something fame had done to me. It made me feel like nobody could be trusted.

"You're right. You're always right."

"What was that?" Tony had his hand on the back of my head, scratching my hair and I glanced up to watch his smirk turned into a grin, "I never thought I'd hear you say that."

"Yeah, well don't get used to it."

Me and him laughed together as he took a seat back on the couch and my spirit felt a little lighter. No matter what, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I was grateful for Tony. He had my back no matter what.

"So I don't expect that you might find your way up to that party tonight…do you?"

"Absolutely not."

"Well, I know your birthday is not for a few months, but you'd still only be 20."

"Honestly, I'm completely alright with that because this has been the longest day. I've changed my outfits more times than I change my hair. I've dealt with endless impromptu events today. We shot a commercial, did a photoshoot, and I had to make a last minute ride here."

Tony nodded with an expression I couldn't read, "Got to see some family… Got to eat some really great food…didn't bring me a plate."

"Tony…" I practically begged, half-smiling. My eyes were beginning to hurt. I don't know how my body has made it this far.

He went on, "Got a really good contract for shampoo and conditioner."

"Tony, I'm so serious right now. I'm done with today, Tony. I am tired. I don't even know if I want to talk with anyone tomorrow."

Unwavering, we locked eyes and there was a noticeable shift in the mood. But, a wave of guilt washed over me as I regarded Tony's hardened face. I bit my lip and pouted looking at my charm bracelet. I liked them because they were full of diamonds. However, I also remembered that my manager was the one who bought them for me for my birthday last year. Not to mention this room we were sitting in. Not to mention he did get me out of that sticky situation earlier and arranged for me to possibly be discussing my next project with some people he knew tomorrow. My manager really does a lot for me. I hated telling him no.

"Tony…I just want to go to sleep. For now, I mean. I'll be ready tomorrow. What time do you need me to be ready?" I watched him walk over to a dresser muttering something under his breath before turning back around, "Kid, I'm really….really sticking my neck out for you."

I sighed deeply, mildly annoyed, fully guilty. I know you are. You always do.

"But, I'll do my best to postpone the meeting for later in the day. The meeting was tomorrow at noon, I'll reschedule it for Monday afternoon. That way you can have the rest of the weekend off. Does that help?"

"Of course it helps!" I exclaimed. It was the wee hours of Saturday morning and I never got a break. This was so well needed. "But, what is this meeting about?"

"A possible collaboration with a new fashion deal. There's a big fashion event hosted twice a year: The Vista Gala. You've been sent an early invitation. The event will be held near here in a few months. I have people who have some ideas to get you a part of the fashion world to open up your brand…and your closet. We need to start working on your look."

Before he knew it, I only briefly registered what he just said before I had him in a tight squeeze to which he wrapped an arm around me.

"Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! A fashion deal? Am I going to be a brand ambassador? You're the best! I'm so grateful for you and everything you do for me...can I cry? I think I'm gonna cry." I broke into a mini half-sob.

"If you have to, but not on me. I just got this fitted recently." I gave him a dumb look and opened my mouth to reply, but he spoke again.

"You're welcome. But, honestly, I can see your eyes are starting to get red probably from not sleeping, so enjoy your weekend. I'll be nearby if you need me, okay? My room is on the next floor up. I'll text it to you."

I trailed behind him as we made our way towards the entrance where the rest of security was waiting.

"Make sure you stay here. I mean it. If you are planning to go out, you're an adult, but make sure you're properly disguised or have security with you, unless you want a random photo op." I nodded as he continued. I was still giddy with excitement, it was written all over my face.

"I have you booked here for a few nights since I need you in the area. Anything you want, this place even has its own personalized butler. Security will be here every night from 6pm to 2am and don't answer the door for anyone you aren't expecting."

As we got to the front of the room, security opened the door to the entrance and held it open. He turned to face me, "You have any questions before I head out?"

"No, just… Thank you. For everything. For watching out for me and for teaching me new things. Challenging my beliefs. I know I don't tell you how much I appreciate you, but I really do. I mean it. "

A few seconds went by and I almost thought he didn't hear me, until I saw Tony mouth the words "wow" to me and I playfully rolled my eyes crossing my arms.

"Oh whatev-

"What was that thing you just told me …" He lifted a brow, "Don't get used to it?"

"That was your last, period!"

"Don't mention it, kid. Just remember what I said." He winked, and the security guards shut the door behind him.

Then it was just me. Alone, in Hollywood's finest.

I made my way around to the other side of the dresser where the master bathroom lay. The room was darkened and I had to do a double take as the tub was almost as massive as the tall window that went from the floor to the ceiling. There was a shower nearby as well, separate with a wide walk in. Plants were layered throughout the counters and walls and gave the room a greenhouse effect. Stepping forward, I took in the sight where the window had a towering view of the cityscape lights of Los Angeles. The rain had begun to die down as I made out the dark figurines of the buildings decorated with clusters of lights from inside.

I yawned, "Well, this is definitely up my alley. At least I get to rest in a genuinely cozy place."

As I turned around to where the sink was and was met with the effects of my appearance. My eyes were puffy and my face seemed sunken. My hair down, but it was messy from my amateur theatrics from the rain and the hell of getting here. Now that I thought about it, my head was pounding and my body was beginning to give up on me. There was a sudden fatigue that had hit me after I realized how drastically long this day had been. From my commercial to the photoshoot for the magazine. Arriving at Theodore and Eleanor's restaurant was spectacular to say the least, I would be lying if I said that I didn't have a good time.

But, there were a few loose ends to tie. This industry requires you to be tough, I knew that. However, I didn't know to the extent of what Eleanor had been going through until now. Still, I sympathized. Jeanette still wanted to know too and I couldn't keep it from her. I didn't know when I was going to see Alvin and talk about him and Dave, but I'll wait to hear from him. I wanted to focus on my career, this new fashion gig was to die for. But, these things that had been happening…I'd be wrong to ignore them. Tony was right. Being private wasn't going to help me anymore, I needed to make the right alliances. It was personal now.

After hopping out of the shower and washing my hair, I came out of the bathroom with a towel and checked my phone.

3:58AM

I dragged my one-piece cream colored lounge set with matching sleep mask out and jumped in what was the coziest bed I had slept on in what felt like a decade. Sleep found me soon after.

The next day went by pretty quickly.

Not realizing how tired I was. I slept until noon and then afterwards, I slept some more, so I had breakfast at 5pm. I didn't care, I just didn't feel like being around anyone today. Jeanette and Destiny were a little upset after I texted them that duty called and I had to hitch a ride early the next morning for "a meeting with my team around 9 o' clock in the morning". They quickly got over it after I told them that I got us booked for the three of us to have a spa day Monday morning. Then, afterwards, after reading a couple of fashion books hidden nearby, I did some research on the Gala here and it's refreshing history.

Later on, one of the palace's corporate managers found out I was in-house and he and a few of his colleagues offered to give me a tour of the place. We waltzed through meeting rooms, a small casino, and I got to take a look at the rooftop bar where the pool was that gave a beautiful sunset view of LA. Halfway through, I noticed the place was painted gold with red accents which complimented the atmosphere and reminded me of someone I hadn't yet seen.

Meanwhile, at the end of the tour. I ran into a few women in entertainment who recognized me despite my shades and accessories and we dined at one of the restaurants guarded by security.

Afterwards, on our way back to our rooms at night, one of the girls grabbed a luggage cart and we went on a ride through one of the hallways since two of them had a tipsy idea before hotel security found us and we had to disburse. Those girls were wild, but we exchanged numbers beforehand and I made it back to my suite where security let me in, I kicked off my shoes, and went to bed shortly after.

The next evening, I had a gourmet smoked salmon over a caesar salad, a side of strawberries, and a raspberry ginger green tea sitting right beside me on a platter while I took a bubble bath. I took in the view of the city as the sky turned mute blue. My aesthetic was spoiled rich girl, so I left the lights dimmed and turned on a movie. There was another flat screen in the bathroom that I didn't notice until I had accidentally pushed a button on the wall that brought it out from its hiding place and watched some random rom-com. I had sent my personal butler to fetch me some more tea as well. I'd have to give him a small tip later. Y'know, because if not people will quit on you.

Bubbles surrounded me and I had the jets on and used a zesty citrus aromatherapy oil to liven up the atmosphere. In case anyone didn't know, I had a thing for baths. They helped me relax and helped me quiet my mind. A few raindrops started to fall down outside, but I stayed focused on the television and tried to ignore the jumbled thoughts surrounding the other night.

This movie was old, but oddly enough, had me intrigued. It was about if a man and a woman could be friends without anything romantic going on between them. They had grown up together. Sound familiar? It was hitting a little too close to home. But, later on after a few break ups from separate relationships, they ended up in bed after she was feeling lonely. Now he was acting all awkward around her.

"Typical," I spat as I chewed a lettuce leaf. I adjusted my bath pillow behind my head and made sure my hair was still tucked neatly into my messy bun. I sipped some more of my tea.

Would Alvin ever do that to me?

I certainly wasn't a virgin and I knew he wasn't either. We didn't see each other often, and I knew I didn't want to keep up the never ending foreplay of our relationship.

Truth be told, we had slept together once. Last year.

But, we got caught up in the business. My manager warned me that it wasn't a good look. Alvin was rebellious. Bold. And didn't seem to care one way or another. He had gotten in trouble hanging around certain groups of people and caught a charge for something I couldn't remember because it was waived off. Of course, the courts ended up throwing it out because they were probably paid off. But, the bad boy look wasn't good for my image. On top of that, our schedules didn't align.

Since then, we hadn't done it again, but we had done…other stuff. We've messed around a couple of times. And lately, it seems like that's all he wants. We don't talk like we used to and it sucks because I really longed for us to be close again like we once were, not just physically, but emotionally. Mentally. It was just physical and it was my fault too for keeping it that way. It's just different with Alvin. I wanted - no- I needed him to care about me for more than just physical. I loved him, I really did. But if this was ever going to work and ever be a thing, I needed more from him. I needed him to genuinely care about me.

The public, and our respective families, already knew that we flirted and how much we liked each other. We were clearly linked. But, the reason why I was so adamant about us not being together is that he can and will distract me from my future, my dreams of going as far as my career can take me. Will the public still take me seriously? Getting with your rival is something unheard of. I don't know that he could give me what I want and if it was worth compromising my career based on a what-if.

A few minutes passed by, and I turned the movie off and switched it off and turned it to a smooth catchy R&B vibe from the 80s. I appreciated good music after all. Mtume was one of my favorites. I was in the middle of revamping my social media page and deleting all of the older pictures I didn't care about. I wanted to start fresh. I wanted to reintroduce myself to the world by doing something new, something big. This meeting with my team tomorrow had to go perfectly. It was time for a new era.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Shit, that had to be my butler."

Gathering the bubbles off of me, I hopped out of the bath before wrapping a thick towel around my nude body and placed my phone by the would be quick. Water trickled down my legs as I stomped my way around my bed and living room area to the door.

"What you're given' makes my body rocks…makes me sizzlin'..." I hummed to myself hearing the beat from the background as it faded away.

I undid the lock with one hand while the other held the towel around me and opened the door to see my not butler leaning against the doorway.

"What the heck are you doing here?"

For a couple of seconds, we both said nothing. There was silence, only the sound from the smooth sultry beat of the next record was playing in the background. The jazz piano with airy saxophone created a summer melody that matched the sunset outside.

"I'm here to see you. "Alvin told me and I was locked in place, frozen in time while his gaze lingered on me, "I'm guessing this is a bad time?"

My auburn hair was tied in a messy bun with a few damp curls lacing around my face which was tinted red from the heat of the bath and from the way my chest was beating. I hugged my cream-colored towel closer to my half naked body, it was barely covering my left leg which was completely bare from the partially opened door. Water droplets dripped down around my shoulders, locks of hair, and trailed down the rest of my body.

Alvin was dressed in jet black baggy pants with a matching black tank that was covered halfway from his off-black jacket with a name brand of shoes I recognized. A gold chain dangled across his firm torso with a matching watch on his sleeve I could see from where he hid his hands in his pockets. He towered above me lingering with ocean eyes that matched mine. Watching me with intent, his cologne lingered from the cool air outside my door and my heated blush soon matched the hue of his hat.

"Yes, actually it is." I huffed, leaning on my other dominant leg. "How did you find me? And how did you make it past security?"

Oh wait, they're not here until 6pm.

"How come you didn't try to find me?" He cocked a lazy brow, "And does it matter? I have my ways, " Alvin smirked.

"Alvin, I'm busy. Bottom line is, does it look like I'm ready to entertain anyone?" I gestured to my half nude form. He had to be dumb.

Alvin bit his lip, his eyes fell to my towel barely covering my breasts and he inhaled, his chest extending, he brought his head down to the floor and then back up to where our eyes met. I could tell he was trying to keep his composure and was failing miserably. Now it was my turn to bite my lip. It was only a matter of time before we ran into each other again. But, it wasn't supposed to be like…this.

"Unless you're willing to make an exception….," He straightened his stature, "Don't you want to know more about what happened the other night?"

At that, I knew I couldn't argue. "Fine. Come in, but don't touch anything. I was hoping I could finish my bath in peace before my meeting tomorrow."

"…finish taking it." He said coolly. " I won't bother you."

My blush was disrespectfully blatant from his tone. I never could resist him and I still haven't learned how. But, I had to play it off. I couldn't let him think he got the best of me.

…But, like always, he did.

Next thing I knew I was back in the tub and somehow Alvin convinced me that it was somehow suitable that he'd be in here as well. So here I was, back underneath the endless array of soapy bubbles. He had removed my plate of food for me and put it in the next room. My butler had arrived with more tea for me, so Alvin handed it to me carefully and I placed it right next to me. The water was running to reheat my bath. As I leaned forward to shut off the running water, he beat me to it. Our hands touched and we both locked eyes. We lingered until I couldn't take it anymore and looked away, my heart pounded heavily.

Why did I agree to this?

"Thanks," I muttered before leaning back against the bath pillow.

"Don't mention it." He replied.

I began making sure the extra bubbles were covering the bath were also covering me most importantly. I couldn't have any peep shows going on. At least, not for free, shit.

Alvin scooted up a lounge chair from the living room and sat it right next to the tub. I furrowed my brows when he got up again to bring forth a cushion stool. Throwing his legs onto it, I gave him a look of disbelief where he grinned in response.

"What? You're comfortable."

"Well, yeah this is my room, stupid!" I exclaimed with my soapy hand, the water making waves around me.

"Nice room, too." Alvin pulled out his phone and began swiping and scrolling. "Wonder why my agent didn't give me this one instead."

"All I know is that if you try anything funny…" I warned.

"I won't, promise."

There was that silence again while we both got comfortable with the change in scenery. Avoiding eye contact when I knew he's seen me like this before. I don't know how or why I agreed to opening myself up to him like this, but I was comfortable. Right? The tub was hot now and I was starting to wonder if it was a good idea to heat it back up. This was clearly intimate. But, when I glanced in his direction, he was already gazing at me.

Alvin leaned back in the chair, one foot on the stool, the other down in front of him, "Hey…", he threw me a look.

"...Hey…" I gave him one of my own.

….

"...You're so beautiful."

I waved him off with a flick of my wrist, accidentally splashing him. "Oh, shut up."

"Hey!" Alvin flinched and began brushing a part of his jacket off, he gave me a sharp look, "Not on my new piece! Do you know how much this cost me?!"

Peering closer, I crossed my arms, "Who then? McQueen?"

"Valentino."

"Hmph." I narrowed my eyes on him. "Fancy."

"Only the best."

I bit back a small smile unsuccessfully, "So, about the other night…"

"Sure," Alvin clapped his hands, for what I don't know, "Let's talk."

We got into a discussion about the night. The lights, the press, the whole nine yards. Alvin told me how he spent the day recording a song he was working on for his newest album when he called me that morning. The food at the restaurant ended up being the one thing we didn't see eye to eye on. Alvin got into a whole monologue on how his steak was the best thing on the menu because he helped give Theodore some tips 'during that one time', but I digress.

I sipped some of my tea, savoring the herb infused beverage careful not to let it spill. "All I know is that Simon could not keep his eyes off of Jeanette the entire night."

"I think he's gonna ask her soon if he hasn't already." Alvin nodded to nobody in particular.

"They'd make such a cute couple that's for sure." I said matter-of-factly. "Did you see the picture I posted of all of us?"

"Yeah, Theo sent it to me and tagged us in it." Alvin stretched his arms up high, cracking his back.

God, look at those muscles.

When he sighed and rested his arms his jacket slid off his shoulder a bit and I could see the bottom of his tank slide up revealing the arch of his toned chest and v-line. He had clearly been working out more, something I needed to get back into before turning to face me. I shyly pretended to focus on my cup.

"Yeah I caught that," I muttered, placing my tea down on the small platter next to me, "How come you didn't come until later?"

Alvin shrugged, "I was dealing with the press. Taking photos and such. You know. Did I tell you we had a flat tire?"

I almost spat out my tea, "No, you didn't."

"Yes, on my brand new stretch limousine. Plus, LA traffic has been getting worse. I would've taken the chopper, but I didn't wanna steal the thunder from baby bro."

"Very thoughtful of you." I snickered, "How long did you know about the event? I mean, I'm guessing Theo told you but I literally found out like day-of."

"I knew like a week before. It's funny though, because I assumed you knew. But, if that's true, I think it's pretty shady, did Jeanette know?"

Did she?

A buzz from my phone distracted my thoughts and I turned towards the table near me and furrowed my brows, not seeing it. I think I left it on the counter.

"Can you pass me…" But Alvin was already way ahead of me. He swiped it from the nearby counter and handed it to me before plopping back down to his usual position.

Thanks Brittany! We gotta all get together real soon! - Theodore

I saw that Eleanor hearted his response. I frowned, realizing she still wasn't talking to me, but it was a start which is why I tagged both of them.

"What are you doing?" Alvin must've noticed my expression.

"Playing chess, not checkers." I placed my phone down beside me on the table nearby. I brought my eyes back to him as I placed my arms on the side of the tub and rested my head and brought my eyes to his.

"Who was that?" Alvin raised his brows with the hint of a smile. He placed his phone in his pocket, got up and began to remove his jacket, "Not another lover, I hope."

The steam on the mirror was fogged over as the room was heating up. It was getting hot in here and he wasn't helping. He folded his jacket and placed it on the counter before turning to me with a smirk. My mouth was slightly ajar, and my baby blue eyes were stuck on his figure. Alvin tends to hide his body, knowing when and where and what to show. My face was flushed, my body was becoming sensitive and I rubbed my legs together feeling a familiar warmth down below.

"What if it was? You jelly?" I cleared my throat, regaining my composure, grinning, "It's okay if you are." I knew he was talking to other girls, he had to be. We weren't together. Which means that if someone came along and gave me attention, I'd be a fool not to partake.

Alvin was only in his tank and baggy pants, fixing himself up in the mirror. He watched me through the part of the mirror that wasn't foggy, his eyes unmoving until he turned and made his way over to me. I was still leaning against the tub railing, my head cocked to the side on my arms as I blinked stupidly up at him. With each step he made, he towered over me and my heart drummed loud. Crouching down, he brought his face towards mine and locked eyes with me leaning forward so I could inhale his intense scent.

"Only a little."

Alvin slowly got up, his eyes not leaving mine and sat back down, bringing a leg up to the stool leaving me perplexed, hot and bothered.

"Okay. So, tell me something then," I raised myself up and grabbed some of my tea, which was cooled down now, but just what I needed. "You're not gonna like this, but I have to ask," At that, his expression switched to one I couldn't read, "Why…why did Dave ask if you knew why Eleanor was upset? He seemed really pissed off."

"Man…" Alvin exhaled sheepishly, "Dave is Dave. He always thinks I'm on to something."

I took another sip, and whispered, "Well, he's not wrong…

"…like I love him and he's my dad. But, like when are you gonna trust me?" Alvin was looking directly at me now.

"Well, he did seem pretty pissed off. Like the whole night. Every time he interacted with you," I probed. I wanted to know everything. "At the dinner table too, he had like 4 glasses of wine."

"And had the nerve to get on us, too." Alvin exclaimed and shook his head, "He's mad because I went behind his back to sign on a new manager, Harv. He is the one that got me the hook up to get in the party the other night so I could link up with some big music execs."

"And did you?"

"Fuck yeah, I did. We had hella fun. I wish you came." Alvin told me, "But I get it if you were tired, but I don't understand coming all this way just to skip out."

I didn't like his tone, but I still shot him a look. "Um, excuse you. You know I need my beauty sleep. You keep partying recklessly, you're gonna be just like Dave. Stressed."

"Harv is my guy. Anything I want, he makes sure it happens."

"Was he at the party last night?"

"Yep. How come you weren't?"

"Honestly, Alvin usually I'd be down, but by the time I showed up, the place was packed and I was low on sleep." I brought a soapy hand up to cover my yawn. "It was best that I layed low."

….

"Tony told you to?"

"It was mutual, thank you."

"Does he ever let you do what you want?"

"Tony protects me from getting around the wrong people." I snapped, "You don't know what sucker out here wants to take advantage of you and get you vulnerable and out of character."

Alvin threw his hands up, "Brit, relax okay. It's just a party."

"Yeah, for you. You're a guy. You don't have to watch your back like I do." Rubbing my legs together, I positioned my body to the side, resting my arm on the side of the tub and ran a lazy hand through my damp hair. "One mess up. One slip up. One nasty rumor, it can take away everything I've worked hard for. Regardless of how you feel about Dave or whatever happened between you too, You should be grateful to have him. Tony is the only parental figure I have with Miss Miller gone. "

There was silence between us again. Alvin seemed visibly taken aback. He wasn't using the stool anymore and was in deep thought sitting up straight with his elbows on his knees, hands folded together.

"Me and Dave have been at odds lately. He doesn't trust me. Every time I'm up for a new project, all he does is stand in my way. He doesn't support me, ever. All he does is give me his doubts on why it's such a bad idea. I don't need that shit anymore."

"So, is that the reason you got a new manager?"

"He told you that, didn't he?"

Humming to no one in particular, my face twisted idly in recollection, "Yeah um…Chapter 8, was it?"

Alvin winced at me, "Huh?"

Bringing my attention back to him, "Yeah, why?"

Alvin gave a sarcastic low laugh shaking his head.

"I should've known."

"Well…all I'm gonna say is just watch out for people who give you everything you want. I don't know who this Harv guy is, but make sure he's good people."

"Why wouldn't he be? You don't know him."

"Exactly. I don't, so you make sure you do. Don't just be surrounded by people who aren't gonna tell you the shit you need to hear when you need to hear it."

"…Yeah, if you say so."

"I do."

Alvin muttered something about going to the bathroom and headed to the private toilet and shut the door.

Hmph.

I don't know who this Harv guy was, but I could tell Alvin might've been using him as a substitute father for Dave. Wrestling between the guidance of the two, but I didn't know for sure. The silence was becoming deafening and I couldn't bear it anymore. I was getting a little sleepy in the heat of the bath even though it was dying down. I could hear the faint sound of R&B through the speakers on the flat screen. I switched to my favorite smooth playlist and kept it very subtle.

It was time for me to get out, but a naughty thought lingered in my mind and I smiled evilly. Carefully, I lifted a smooth leg from the water and dangled it gently over the side of the tub as I leaned over the side similar to earlier. I pretended to look bored, but my mild drowsiness did all the work.

At first, Alvin didn't notice when we came out to wash his hands. I watched him and waited until he locked eyes with me. A lazy grin made its way onto his face.

"What are you doing over there, Barbie?"

"Brittany." I corrected, with the same lazy smile. My eyes were half lidded and I hummed the smooth, sultry sounds that echoed mildly across the room setting the tone. My leg was still dangling across the tub, but I pretended to be casual about it by dipping it in and out of the water slowly with my head and arms resting against the railing pretending to look bored. Alvin bit his lip, and turned around and came to crouch face to face in front of me and gripped the railing.

"I know what you're doing."

"What am I doing?" I asked softly, eyes half lidded in a sleepy whisper.

Here we go. We looked like a couple of lovers on a honeymoon, but far from it. Back into this never ending cycle. Every time we get together it's endless teasing back and forth flushed with the heat of desire on a natural high. We should know better than this by now.

"I'm really glad you came by." I told him genuinely with a lazy smile. observing his whole face that lit up.

"Yeah?" Alvin grinned, cerulean eyes never leaving mine.

"Mhm." I tossed my gaze to the side before returning to his, pondering. "I was feeling real lonely. I missed my best friend."

"Awww..." He sang in a baby voice where I rolled my eyes. "Maybe you should stop being a stranger and come over sometimes." His voice was getting softer. Instantly, my chest fluttered and my temperature rose once I noticed he was staring at my lips. Something was pulling us closer together and I knew where this was going. The urge to act on my impulses was overriding my conscious and I was losing the feeling to fight back. It was getting hot in here.

I inclined my head towards the door, resulting in Alvin raising a brow, "What? You kicking me out? Or are you about to get dressed."

"I'll only be a minute."

As I exited the bathroom, I must've yawned several times. That bath had made me pretty drowsy. I glanced over to see that the rain had disappeared and all that was left was the orange and lavender colored skies laced with brush stroked clouds. I frowned, once I realized I was alone until a brief flash of red caught my eye standing over the balcony outside. Alvin was outside on the balcony looking out at the cityscape. Twisting the latch, the door slid open easily and I came out in a long sleeved button-down cotton lounge dress. It was a colored magenta and heavily pigmented and I slipped it on easily because it hugged my figure. It fit snug around my body and went down past my knees. I wore my hair in a high curly messy bun with a few gold bangles on my wrist, my charmbracelet and a matching gold anklet.

"Took you long enough," I heard Alvin say and I playfully rolled my eyes and stuck my tongue out at him. Bringing my arms over the balcony, my eyes went to take in the golden city.

The skies meshed together well in the light citrus lavender and the buildings were beginning to get darker than their normal hue. The city was still lit up and there was a gathering of palm trees sprinkled throughout. I could make out some of the vehicles in the distance since we were so high up and though there were a few stories up higher than we were, I still felt like this was more than good enough. When the breeze went by, I inhaled the familiar, yet mild polluted city air and exhaled.

Before I could take my eyes off of the view, I noticed from my peripheral that Alvin was facing me. Instantly, I was about to snap at him and ask him what his problem was until I heard him whistle lowly.

"Do you ever cease to amaze me, Brittany?"

I cocked my head to the side from where the city lay, and gave myself a second before responding, "...I told you I'd surprise you, didn't I?"

Now it was my turn to smirk watching his expression change to sudden realization and as he chuckled lightly in remembrance of the night before and we both took in the view again.

"Beautiful." I sighed. "I can't believe I made it all the way here from Australia."

"Yeah, we've come a long way. I don't know about you," Alvin climbed up on the bottom part of the railing, making him look taller, "But I'm on top of the world, BABY!"

"Shh!" I exclaimed, but I was too late. His voice echoed across the horizon and I couldn't help but laugh while he balanced himself up boldly taking in the view.

Should I?

Before he could register, I traced my fingers up the back of his knee and snickered when they buckled.

"Hey!" Alvin grumbled, not realizing the joke and stepping down from the platform.

I snorted, "You wanna fall down 50 stories?"

Alvin didn't respond and instead whipped out his phone. I figured he was going to take a photo until he started texting, so I ignored him. More Hollywood views for me anyway. A couple of moments passed and he muttered something incoherent under his breath. Dazed and confused, I brought my attention his way, catching his attention.

"You good?" I asked.

"Huh?…Yeah, no," He mumbled to himself. In other words, that was a very Cali way of saying 'no'.

"What's up, then?"

…..

"Nothing. I gotta go do something later."

Alvin was reading and responding back and forth. After sending a few more messages, he sighed deeply and turned to me sharply, "What's up with your sister?"

I blinked, "I'm guessing you're not talking about Jeanette."

"Eleanor. Why is she acting so funny?"

"What did she do now? Fuck," I exclaimed. This can't be good. "What did she text you? Was it about…me?"

"It was Theodore. He's hella upset right now," Alvin glanced out at the city before surrendering his attention back to me. "Apparently, there's this magazine that is considering inviting them to feature on the cover of Haute Money but Eleanor is not up for it."

My eyes narrowed away from him down at the streets and I fought the urge that I'd been holding onto for the last day or two. It was starting to get to me. The guilt of what Eleanor had told me the other day in the bathroom and what she was battling. Haute was a magazine that featured the latest entrepreneurs around Los Angeles. This was a huge opportunity.

"Speaking of invitations, how come Eleanor keeps leaving you in the dark about these things?"

"I don't know, you tell me."

Alvin watched me before slowly leaning closer to me and clasped his hands together, "But I'm asking you."

I didn't make eye contact, "I wish I knew. We don't speak."

"Then what were you both doing in the bathroom with her ath the restaurant?"

"Eleanor has been holding an obvious grudge against me." I swallowed, bringing my gaze back to him, "But she told me some things…"

Alvin inclined his head towards me. "What things?"

I didn't know how to tell him. I wanted to tell him, but the topic was so touchy, I'd have half a mind to believe he would tell Theodore. Additionally, if what went on the other night wasn't so evident right now, it was clear that Theo was also in the dark about her. I had to be smart about how I answered this.

"Eleanor has something that isn't my story to tell," I began softly, begging him to understand. "Long story short is that she… needs me and Jeanette and everyone more than anything right now…"

Alvin blinked to let me understand he still wasn't quite following me.

I sighed sharply, "Bottom line is I heard her talking on the phone to someone about me and afterwards we got into an argument. We got into some things about the past and now me and Jeanette need to touch base with her for a possible…intervention."

"So it's that bad, huh," Alvin swore and shook his head, "I never thought that Eleanor would be going through something. She's usually so strong…what did you mean when you said she was talking on the phone?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Are you sure it was about you?" Alvin was looking at me now.

"Of course it was! I know what I heard. She used my name, too!" I exclaimed and threw my hand out, "Plus, if anything, people can say what they want about me, but I've never talked shit about her."

A few helicopters danced above our heads hovering as the sky darkened. They picked up and I noticed one was landing while the other one trailed off. I didn't even need to ask Alvin to know that the GLP had a place on it's rooftop for their arrival.

"Damn," Alvin had a bewildered look on his face, "This really is bad. I just hope they can straighten all this shit out. It's not a good look and Theo hasn't been taking it well either. But wait—

I whipped my head in his direction.

"What was she talking about? I mean…who was on the phone that she was talking to?"

"I'm telling you I don't know. She wouldn't tell me." I was heated just thinking about it. Exhaling sharply, I'd had enough. "I don't really wanna talk about this anymore. Bottom line is if it was a gossip blog, frienemy, or whoever. I had to know."

"Well when you figure it out, you tell me because I wanna know," Alvin confirmed. "Maybe I can figure it out from Theodore, unless that's another secret."

But I had a question for him first. Usually I loved attention, but right now I needed to take it off of me. After a moment went by, I went in.

"Why was Dave upset with you at the table?"

"Man, you know how Dave is," Alvin recalled, "He's always on me about some shit."

"No, not that." He clearly wasn't listening. I tried again, "Remember when—

"He wanted me to come home. But, I told him I already had plans afterwards."

"…But that's your dad."

"And that's your sister."

A breeze went by and all of a sudden the lights faded, causing a sudden change in scenery. It wasn't until the city lights remained and the long balcony became lit up that we realized the change.

"Besides, he's got both of my brothers. He's fine."

"Both of them are still at home?"

Alvin sighed deeply, "Yeap. That's why we should talk more, princess, so you can catch up." I was about to tell him off but he continued, "But, Theo and Eleanor have been talking about getting their own place."

"So wait. What happened between you two? Is it that bad?" I told him. Somehow I couldn't shake the feeling that something was up.

"Remember how you told me you can't tell me too much about you and Eleanor?" Alvin eyed me, a brow raised. "It's the same thing with me and Dave."

"So, it really is that bad, huh?" I repeated his point from earlier. A yawn soon followed.

"Tell you what," Alvin began, "If you can start to patch things up with Eleanor, and I'll see if me and Dave can see eye to eye…maybe."

"Yeah…maybe." I frowned. Somehow I didn't like the sound of either of our situations and how things were going. I thought that if you could lock things up and throw away the key, it wouldn't affect you as much. But, seeing as though the chaos in front of me wasn't going anywhere, it only heightened the elephant in the room.

"Well, enough about family. I'm still surprised you got a room." Alvin brought his eyes to mine, "A giant suite at that. It took Harv months to get my reservation. He had to jump through so many hoops, how'd you get in?"

"I have my ways," I gestured to the cityscape view, the hills and valley peaks over the tall skyscrapers and grinned. "It's glamorous, ain't it? When you get what you want." Alvin turned to me, an arm resting on the seal and his back against the railing once more, "I still wish you would've come to the party. You could've met some of my people. There's a lot of good connections you could've made."

"Well, Romeo. Duty calls, and I can make anything happen for me when I need to pull some strings." I shrugged at him and followed it with a wink. "Anyways, I already got some projects coming along nicely, courtesy of my team. Meeting new ones would overwhelm me. Even then, where would I be staying afterwards had I gone to the party, stupid?"

"You mean to tell me you wouldn't wanna come back with me." Alvin shrugged, leaning over into my ear, he continued in a smooth baritone. "In my room. In my bed."

I shivered, but contained myself, going up to flick his cap. "You'd like that wouldn't you?"

"We both would, tell me I'm wrong." Alvin confirmed, and readjusted it. Alvin had repositioned himself backwards. His arms were spread out against the railing.

Something that would normally light a fire in me fizzled a little bit and called me back to the other night. Alvin's persistent hand on my thigh along with his idle threat. Although we reconnected in the hallway. Something about it made me feel a way.

"I don't know, Alvin. Sometimes I think you play too much." I admitted coming face to face with him. "It's like you only care about what I can do for you physically.

"I play too much?" He laughed. I blinked stupidly at him, "Yes! Emphasis on the player!"

"And how did you come up with that assumption?"

"Really?" He couldn't be serious. "You don't remember the other night.." My body was facing him now and I kept a smoothed manicured hand on the railing, stepping towards him, "... when you made me look like I was some whore and acted like a dog threatening me?"

Alvin scoffed sharply and looked at me funny, "I honestly think you're exaggerating."

"Exaggerating?! Am I exaggerating?" Now I was getting upset, "I thought we were supposed to be best friends."

"Yeah! We are!" Alvin exclaimed, "At least that's how you responded to me."

"Then how come it doesn't feel like that?"

Alvin exhaled sharply and took a step towards me, "You know what, Brittany?"

"What? Say it."

"Sometimes I don't know what you want!" Alvin threw his hands up. "I don't even know what this is! What we have going on!"

This wasn't good. My eyes were burning with frustration. My face was hot and I was fired up with conflicting and complicated emotions.

"Well, I don't know what to think! I just don't want to be with someone who is willing to just use me for my body or for what they can get out of me, Alvin. I've been through too much shit just to settle."

"Is that what you really think of me, Brittany?

My mouth was ajar as I pondered what was just said. Then, unwavering, I stood up straight and gave a firm nod. I could feel tears welling up. Alvin came close to me and I took a step back to wipe my eyes with my sleeve. I half expecting him to be angry with me. But, his eyes were softened. He was focused on me, but I noticed he was frustrated with himself even if he didn't have ill intentions, it still affected me and caused me to leave the table. I knew he was playing and it was all a joke, but I didn't want to be something or someone to play with. A joke to him.

All of a sudden I felt like a bitch, and suddenly I understood the effect I had on my sisters a whole lot more.

"Maybe I don't know what I want right now, but what I do know is that I need more from you if this is going to be an ongoing thing. I want someone who wants the same thing from me that I want from them." I admitted.

"Hey…hey. Come here." Alvin tugged my arm and pulled me into him. My small hands were shaking as they laced behind his backside beneath his jacket. The embrace caused me to be pressed into his solid stature where I was met with a sea of warmth combating the harsh breeze that just went by.

"I'm sorry...for acting like that," Alvin held my head securely in place, "I was being a jerk."

"…You are a jerk." I choked out.

"No, forreal." Alvin grazed his fingers down to my chin and made me face him, "I can see why that affected you and I apologize."

I didn't respond.

Instead I rested my head on his shoulders and focused on the few plants nearby and then brought my attention to the city lights. The breeze was becoming cooler. Before I knew it, I felt warm lips pressed up against my hairline tenderly and a flame was lit.

Oh God…please don't do that.

"Look at me."

I furrowed my brows together, yet did as he said.

Locking eyes with him wasn't supposed to give me this much trouble. But, his gaze was still so strong against mine.

"I've been thinking...", he started.

"Have you?" I challenged with a hint of a smile.

At that, I could tell he was doing his best trying to be serious, "...Maybe we should stop playing games and try this thing out."

Bewildered against him, I almost pulled away. "Alvin. We talked about this. Remember? My label. My team. I can't-we can't-" I started to pull away, but his grip on me was stubborn as he tightened against my lower back locking me firmly in place and I took that as a challenge.

Alvin was watching me firmly. His eyes telling its own story and he studied my face, I felt naked and shaken as he scanned over me like I was something he was not supposed to have, "You keep telling me about what everybody else wants. What do you want?"

What did I want? He asked me the other night what was I so afraid of and I told him I wasn't afraid of anything. But, somewhere inside I truly did care about what other people thought and what they had to say. It locked me up and caged me in and I was tired of it because it didn't make me happy. There was something inside me that needed to be let out and I felt it every time I was around him.

"I don't know about you Brittany, but I'm tired of pretending like you don't feel something more between u-

But I was already kissing up the side of his neck, "I want you...to stop playing games with me."

Alvin was rendered speechless aside from the sounds he was trying to hold back. I nipped and kissed even finding a small tattoo behind his ear that I never noticed before. Placing a palm behind his neck, I went in deeper.

"…And…" I said between leaving marks on him because I wanted everyone to see that this was my doing , "If this doesn't work, we say we tried and we did it for PR, got it?"

"Let me make it up to you." He let out shaky breaths and gripped my lower back firmly. "Let me surprise you this time."

"Show me."

Alvin was rocking my body steadily like a wave against the cool sheets. My dress was pulled down and off of me and the only thing I had on was my anklet and charm bracelet which was jingling across my wrist while Alvin had my arms locked over my head. His body felt so strong on top of mine since the last time. We were spread out on my bed, and my legs were starting to shake. When he penetrated me deeper, I whimpered and pushed against his shoulders.

"Don't fight back." He groaned, lacing my fingers with his kissing them and then locking them around his neck so he could go deeper as we moved together in the dark. I leaned in to to kiss and nip at his neck lacing him with my scent all over again. His demanding tongue slowly made his way to the inside of my eager mouth without another word. I groaned weakly and kissed him back, eyes half lidded while we moved together in sync like a perfect match.

Alvin started to move faster each time, my mouth opened wider with each stroke inside of me until we had released. The next thing I knew, he kissed down to my navel igniting the fire inside of me and my thighs started shaking again. He held them in place firmly and his mouth began slowly sucking and lapping at my wet core. The scandal that could erupt was silenced as repeatedly as the moans that came out of me uncontrollably.

"O-ohmygod." I whimpered, my voice hoarse from all the screaming I was doing, "I thought you said you had to go do something." I whined with my hand on his head pushing him down lower. I lost track of time and my eyes darkened I was sweating profusely, my face tinted pink. A few tears of ecstasy peeked out the corner of my eyes. I was starting to see stars.

"I do. You." Alvin told me, eyes locked with mine.

"But security—

Despite my legs and thighs trembling like mad, he yanked me closer to his mouth and kissed and sucked on my wet center.

"I don't care who hears us."

Thank goodness there were two sets of doors because I was getting loud. I couldn't stop the noises that were coming from my lips. I massaged my breasts and threw my head back causing him to groan at my behavior. My breaths were becoming ragged as his tongue licked and kissed up my thighs before trailing down to suck at my center again and I came, moaning as I began convulsing, swearing, shaking. He gave my thigh a firm smack with one of his hands when he was done. Alvin grabbed me, bringing me up by my silky auburn hair and tenderly began to lick and kiss up and down the side of my exposed neck and shoulders. I wrapped my arms around him and drifted into another state of mind. All of this ravishing he was doing to my body was going to leave a couple of marks. I can't remember ever feeling so wanted.

"I love you." I whispered, and sighed again. I don't know if he even heard me, or if I'd meant it, but this was long overdue and my feelings were looking for a way of escape. Alvin paused and for a second I thought I probably shouldn't have said it, that I took it too far. But, it was too late now. He held my hair in place and loosened his grip a bit bringing his head back to lock half-lidded eyes with mine, breathing heavily.

"I know." His breaths were ragged and heavy, "I love you too." He was smiling and already leaning forward to kiss me deeply and my heart melted as we fell backwards into the sheets.

How we ended up tangled up like this, I don't know. We weren't supposed to be. I knew is that this was going to bring our relationship to another level, or worse, make things even more complicated between us. All I knew was that if I was signing up for this ride, I was going to get what I wanted out of it. For all I know, we could be making a big mistake or this just might be exactly what we both needed. Haters be damned.

A/N:

Things are starting to get real scandalous.

Tell me what you think. I know its a bit more...sensual than what I've given normally, but their endless foreplay has finally come to an end and I've taken the constructive feedback and used it well.

What's gonna happen now? Is this the start of something new? What are their teams going to say? What about their families? Is this only a fling? Will Alvin have it go to his head? Is this just PR or will feelings get in the way? What did you guys think of the introduction of social media? Will Brittany and Jeanette finally have a sit down with Eleanor to talk about her getting help? Who tried to run Brittany off the road, or was she exaggerating and being paranoid? Will Dave and Alvin make up? What about Simon and Jeanette? Is Theodore going to find out about Eleanor's personal battles?

You see why I took so long to update now, huh? Lol jk

Please don't hesitate to drop me a line
