Episode 10: Let's Rock a Monster

-Core of Light, The Ruined Citadel, Skylands-

Today was a new day in Skylands as Tyson and Belle got up after a good night's sleep and now are heading towards the others at the Core of Light. Although Tyson is feeling a little sore at the moment. Belle stretched her hands, ready to start a new day.

Belle: Ah! Another good morning in the world of Skylands!

Tyson: Yeah, a very sore morning.

Before going to sleep, Tyson got a few more training from Belle, with the girl being a little tough on him.

Belle: I'm still going to train you some more after we retrieve the next Eternal Source.

Tyson didn't say anything at that. Though he actually liked spending time with Belle even if she's a little rough. Tyson then noticed that the sky was a little dark despite being morning and not having many clouds.

Tyson: Hey, the sky looks a little weird.

Belle: You're right. I wonder why.

Spyro: It's because the Darkness is getting stronger.

The two looked at Spyro as he joined the duo.

Tyson: Spyro, what do you mean by that?

Spyro: The longer the Darkness is here in Skylands, the longer it will influence our home. The darkened skies is just the beginning of many changes.

Belle: Then we need to get the other Eternal Sources, and fast.

The group then reached the Core of Light where Hugo was waiting for them along with Flynn.

Spyro: Any news about the Eternal Earth Source, Hugo?

Hugo: Yes, good news in fact! The villagers in Stonetown have recovered it and are keeping it safe until we arrive.

Flynn seemed to be excited about the information.

Flynn: WHOO-HOO! YEAH! Finally an easy one! What did I tell ya! CAKE!

Hugo: Sure. Except for Kaos, the growing Darkness AND the foul-smelling Cyclopses, ALL looking for the very thing that we are after.

Flynn: Oh. Yeah, well. Heh. I guess if you count those…

Hugo: Diggs knows the way. He's waiting for you at the Stone Bridge.

Spyro: Well, let's gather the Earth Skylanders then.

-Stonetown, Skylands-

Stonetown was a small village surrounded by large stones walls, hence why it was decided to call it that. Two Mabu's were currently talking about the Eternal Earth Source they just brought as they were passing the building that's holding it.

Mabu 1: Are you sure that the Eternal Earth Source is safe in that building? The Cyclopses are getting closer you know?

Mabu 2: Don't worry about it! This building is as tough as can be. It wouldn't break so easily just as it is trying to get in. Trust me, the Eternal Source is safe.

The other Mabu started to believe his friend's words.

Mabu 1: I guess you're right.

But just as the two Mabu's left, rocks started to gather at the building where the Eternal Earth Source is and inside something was starting to glow.

A while later the kids and the Earth Skylanders along with Diggs have finally arrived near the walls of Stonetown.

Diggs: Alright. This is as far as I can take you. Stonetown is just beyond this Cyclops outpost.

Dino-Rang: That outpost was actually a part of Stonetown until those one eyed jerks took it.

Terrafin bashed his fists together as he was very eager to duke it out.

Terrafin: Doesn't matter! All give all those one eyes a black eye! Let's see what they can do when they're like that!

Suddenly, the earth shook and the group held their footing until it stopped.

Belle: What was that?

Tyson: I don't know. But it sounded very close and it came from Stonetown.

Bash: Something has happened. Let 's go!

The kids and the Earth Skylanders went up ahead while Diggs stayed behind.

BAM!

The Earth Skylanders broke through the doors as they entered one of the areas of Stonetown and fight some Cyclopses.

Terrafin: Alright you one eyes! Get ready too… huh?

Instead of seeing an army of Cyclopses ready to fight them, the kids and the Skylanders saw that the Cyclopses were being overwhelmed by a type of Rock Golem with no arms, only legs, and they have no heads, only their face is on their chest.

One Cyclops confronted them and swung his sword at one of them, only to see in confusion as the blade was missing. He then heard a crunching sound as he saw that the rock creature ate the blade before burping. This was enough to send the Cyclops running.

A group has lava drooling from their mouths. One Cyclops stepped on it and jumped in the screaming in pain from burning feet.

One Cyclops was crying as 2 rock monsters were kicking him.

Tyson and Belle didn't expect this.

Belle: Um… What is happening?

Prism Break: Rock Walkers.

Dino-Rang: It seems the Cyclopses aren't the only ones after the Eternal Earth Source.

Bash: Then let's get it before they do!

The Earth Skylanders began attacking the Rock Walkers as they turned to them.

Dino-Rang threw his Volcanic Grass Boomerang at one of the Rock Walkers' heads, an upgraded version of his Stone Boomerangs. But when it came back to him, he saw to his surprise that the wobble Rock Walker stood back on its feet.

Prism Break fired his Golden Diamond Energy Beam at each of the Rock Walkers, but they didn't seem to receive much damage.

Bash knocked some Rock Walkers away with his Mace of destruction, with a spiked tail got a new stronger look on it, but the Rock Walkers went back up on their feet.

Terrafin did a few punches on a Rock Walker's face with his Brass Knuckles, but the only answer he got was a fire breath on his face, leaving him charred.

The Earth Skylanders went back to Tyson and Belle as they processed what they just witnessed.

Terrafin: What's up with these guys?! They are not feeling my punches!

Bash: None of our attacks are working! Something must be making them stronger without the presence of the Eternal Earth Source!

Tyson: Maybe those Spell Punks have something to do with it!

Tyson pointed up ahead where there are a dozen Spell Punks watching the fight. They were all wearing brown robes.

Dino-Rang: Earth Spell Punks. With that many they can increase the defense of these Rock Walkers by a lot.

Bash: Then let's get rid of them! Terrafin, a need a boost!

Terrafin: On it!

The Rock Dragon curled into a ball and started spinning around while remaining in place. Terrafin then got behind Bash.

Terrafin: Batters up!

Terrafin punched behind Bash, sending the Rock Dragon rolling faster than before. A group of Rock Walkers formed together a wall to block him. But even when they managed to hold him with their increased defense, Bash managed to plow through.

The Earth Spell Punks moved aside in time as Bash passed them and crashed on the wall. The Spell Punks watched as bursting out of the rubble was Bash as he glared at them.

Bash: Get ready to rock you Spell Punks!

The Earth Spell Punks used a spell that ĺaunched rocks at the Earth Dragon. But Bash summoned a stone pillar that blocked the rocks. He then hit the stone with his tail, breaking it and sending a shower of rocks at the Spell Punks instead that hit all of them. This caused the enhanced defense spell to disappear from the Rock Walkers.

Tyson: Now's your chance you guys!

The Earth Skylanders were now able to deal damage to the Rock Walkers now.

Dino-Rang unleashed Dervish Shield, hitting all the Rock Walkers around him with his Stone Boomerangs.

Prism Break did something similar with his Massive Crystal Eruption.

Terrafin unleashed a few combo punches on the enemy before sending the final one flying as a ring bell was heard.

Terrafin: Booyah…

Seeing all the Rock Walkers had been defeated, the Earth Spell Punks tried to make an escape… only to be sent flying by Bash's Tennis Tail.

Bash: See ya!

With the enemies defeated, and after all the Cyclopses ran away, the Skylanders continued on ahead now that there were no enemies. They arrived at the part of the Town the Mabu still has control over. On the way Terrafin seemed to be a bit disappointed.

Terrafin: Man, that was too short! I hoped to face something more challenging. Like, a giant Monster!

Dino-Rang: While I share your sentiment, we came here to get the Eternal Earth Source. So we better…

Mabus: AAAAAAH!

Everyone stopped when they heard that scream.

Tyson: What was that?!

Bash: It came from over there!

The Skylanders ran to where the screaming from and saw to their surprise that the Mabu's were running away from a giant Rock Golem.

Dino-Rang stopped one of the running Mabu's that passed them.

Dino-Rang: What's happening?! Where is the Eternal Earth Source?!

Mabu: That thing is the Eternal Earth Source!

Everyone: WHAT?!

The Skylanders couldn't believe what they heard as they looked at the rampaging Rock Golem.

Belle: Ho-How did the Eternal Earth Source turn into that?!

Tyson: Wait… I remember something when Hugo was investigating more about the Eternal Sources.

"Flashback"

Inside one of the buildings of the Ruined Citadel, Tyson and Spyro were helping Hugo to learn more about the Eternal Sources, until the Mabu found something in a book.

Hugo: Guys, listen to this! It says here that the Eternal Sources were hidden away not to just protect them from anyone who covets its power, but also from imbalance if something ever happens to Skylands!

Tyson: Imbalance?

Spyro: Something that Kaos and the Darkness can create. You still remember that magic cyclone, right? As well as the Eternal Air Source going out of control.

"End of Flashback"

Tyson: The Eternal Earth Source is going out of control because of Kaos and the Darkness!

Bash: So that's what happened...

The Skylanders watched the rampaging Rock Golem leave the village, but not before swatting a nearby Mabu away.

Terrafin: How are we gonna get the Eternal Source from that thing then?

Dino-Rang: Simple; we just have to defeat the Rock Golem and it will reveal the Eternal Earth Source. Tyson, Belle, you kids stay here and help any Mabu you can find.

The kids nodded as they started to look for Mabu to help while the Earth Skylanders followed the Rock Golem until they cornered it in a ravine. The monster then noticed the Skylanders and roared at them.

Rock Golem: (Roar)...!

After that it grabbed a huge rock and rolled at them.

Dino-Rang: Look out!

Everyone moved out of the way as the rock passed through and fell from the island. Terrafin then appeared from the ground near the Rock Golem's legs as he dug underground when the large rock was thrown.

Terrafin: Show me what you've got, big guy!

The Dirt Shark began unleashing a series of punches with his Brass Knuckles, taking off a few chunks on the Rock Golem's leg and damaging him.

Rock Golem: (Roar)...!

The Rock Golem stepped back but Terrafin still closed the distance and unleashed another barrage of punches.

Terrafin: Come on! Is that all you've got?! Huh?!

Having had enough, the Rock Golem began swinging around, and sent Terrafin flying.

Terrafin: AAAH!

The Dirt Shark landed hard on the ground as the other Skylanders checked on him.

Bash: Are you alright, Terrafin?!

Terrafin sat up as he rubbed his sore head.

Terrafin: I'm alright, I'm alright.

Prism Flash: Look out!

The Earth Skylanders looked above their heads and saw a rain of rocks falling on them. They quickly moved away as the rocks created a dust cloud upon landing. When it cleared the Skylanders were a little bruised.

Bash: Okay, how is everyone doing?!

Terrafin: That guy is tuff! We need to knock him out if we wanna win!

Dino-Rang: I have an idea. Listen.

The Dinosaur Skylander explained the plan as the Rock Golem caught sight of them once all the dust was cleared.

Dino-Rang: Everyone get the plan? Alright! Prism Break, with me!

The group split in two as Dino-Rang ran in front of him.

Dino-Rang: Hey big guy, I bet you can't squash me!

Angry at that, the Rock Golem raised its feet to squash the Dinosaur. Only for Dino-Rang to move out of the way, and then… a Quad Stonefist Trap rose off the ground where the Rock Golem stepped on. Knocking it off balance as it tries not to fall.

Dino-Rang: Now guys!

Hearing their qué, Bash rolled into a ball and started spinning around.

Terrafin went behind him and unleashed a strong punch, sending him rolling very fast.

The Prism Break created a ramp of crystals, which Bash used to jump in the air and hit right at the Rock Golem's face!

The monster fell hard on the ground as the Earth Skylanders regrouped.

Terrafin: Did that do it?!

The Dirt Shark's answer came as the dust cleared, and it revealed that the Rock Golem stood back up and was very angry now.

Rock Golem: RRRROOOOOOOOAAAAAAARRR!

With its loud roar, a rain of rocks, even greater than before, fell upon the Skylanders.

The dust cleared and revealed the four Skylanders climbing out of the rubble. A little bruised as they saw the Rock Golem raise another rock, and this time they wouldn't be able to dodge it in time, nor Terrafin was able to dig underground since the rubble blocked him.

Terrafin: This is not good!

Before the Rock Golem threw the boulder, it stopped as it noticed that vines were crawling around its body, it then sprouted red pepper-like fruits, which seemed to be causing a crackling sound.

Rock Golem: HUH?

The monster was confused at the fruits around it, and before it knew it…

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOOOM!

All the fruits exploded, breaking a few chunks of the Rock Golem and sent it tumbling down its back in a pained roar.

Rock Golem: RROOOOAAAAR!

THUD!

The Rock Golem opened its eyes, only to see Troll on top of him with a few green Troll Bombs in hand.

Boomer: Bottoms up!

Boomer threw all the green Troll Bombs in the Rock Golem's mouth before it closed.

Boomer: Everyone take cover!

The explosive specialist jumped off the Monster and took cover as everybody did, just when the whole Rock Golem's body exploded.

BOOOOM!

As the smoke cleared the Rock Golem was nothing but rubble now. Boomer and Camo came together as they watched their handywork.

Boomer: Haha! Boom!

The Earth Skylanders were surprised to see the two.

Bash: Boomer and Camo?! What are you guys doing here?!

Camo: Oh? Tyson and Belle summoned us here in case you guys need help from someone with explosive power.

Boomer: And boy you sure needed someone to blow things up! Haha!

Despite their smug response, the Earth Skylanders were glad that they were here.

Terrafin: Just so you know, we softened that guy for ya!

Everyone started laughing at that and soon Terrafin joined in too. Prism Break then noticed something as he pointed with his arm.

Prism Break: Look! The Eternal Earth Source.

Everyone stopped laughing and saw the Eternal Earth Source rising from the rubble, now that it has calmed down. It has a few chunks of rocks floating inside of it.

-Core of Light, The Ruined Citadel, Skylands-

Master Eon: You have brought the Eternal Earth Source! The Eye within the Eye! The very foundation of all Skylands!

The Eternal Earth Source flew from Dino-Rang's hand and entered the Crystal Eye. This caused the shell of the pillar where the spout and crystal where to go back underground, revealing some sort of mechanism was inside the pillar. The pupil of the Crystal Eye turned upwards, and underground where the huge crystal shard is, it started to build energy at top of the tip and released a beam of light, which came out of the Crystal Eye that rose up in the sky and dispelled the darkness that shrouded the setting skies. The Skylanders and Hugo, along with Tyson, Belle, and their respective siblings watched the cleared skies again.

Ayla: Aah! It's good to see the skies of Skylands again.

Everyone agreed with her on that.

Terrafin: You know what will be good? Something to eat! I'm hungry after fighting all those rock Monsters!

Camo: Here.

Camo presented Terrafin with an enchilada, which the Dirt Shark happily took.

Terrafin: Thanks!

The Dirt Shark licked his lips, but right when he sunk his teeth on it…

SPLAT!

The enchilada exploded and his face was covered in juices. Terrafin's eye twitched as he processed what just happened.

Camo: (Laugh out Loud)...! You should see the look on your face!

The Hybrid Dragon was laughing his tail off after his prank put an hilarious shocked face on the Dirt Shark. However, it ended quickly as Camo started to run away from Terrafin, who began chasing him.

Terrafin: I'll give you something to look at your own face!

Everyone laughed at this as Terrafin continued chasing after Camo.

Spyro: (Laughs)... So what's next, Hugo?

Hugo rubbed his eyes after he stopped having a good laugh.

Hugo: Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a clue as to where the Eternal Life Source is.

Now that brought down the mood around the group.

Belle: Okay, is there a way that we can help?

Hugo: Thanks Belle, but the riddle I found in the book is quite tricky. It says "once the windy skies are clear, the water fresh, and the earth is rich, the guide to the Eternal Life Source will grow from the ground".

The group had to agree that that is one difficult riddle.

Diego: The guide will grow from the ground? You don't think it's referring that our guide will rise beneath our feet, right? That sounds ridiculous! (Laughs)...

But then Diego stopped laughing as the ground beneath him rose. Everyone were surprised as they saw that Diego was now standing on the head of a creature that sticks its tongue out.
