I've been doing some thinking as of late for new ideas. One of which is a couple of Naruto and Harry Potter ideas, likely they still haven't been released yet since they're like many other of my pilots: both on backlog and development hell. But, just recently I found myself scrolling through that crossover section on this site, and looking through it there haven't been any crossovers where Hinata doesn't end up with Naruto and chooses someone else. I'm a sucker for canon-compliant stories, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I like an idea that's a bit out of the box. Something different. And so, I sought out a story with the pairing of Harry and Hinata but found none. So, as far as I'm aware as of 11/25/21 (the time of writing this foreword) I am likely the only person on this site to write this idea down. This may be something I may come back to in another concept, but we'll have to see.

So, what's the idea about? Well, it's going to be a pretty basic idea. That being Harry broke up with Ginny for one reason or another and took a job far away from the UK to try and distance himself and after a job finds himself in a bar. Hinata is similar, she had a nasty breakup due to politics and finds herself in the "Outer World" also trying to distance herself from that and just family politics in general and finds herself in the same bar. The two start chatting and ripping on their exes, drinks start to flow and one thing leads to another and the two end up in bed. It's a pretty simple pilot story that could go any which way should it continue. So, this may be a carbon copy candidate (used in other story starts like that ODST idea I had a while back); but we'll have to see about that. But anyway, let's get started. I do experiment a little with the writing style on this one in playing the narrator, so bear with me.

Title: [undecided]

Rating: M, this will edge on a hard M for language and some suggestive language.

Pairing: Harry/Hinata, (past Harry/Ginny, past Naruto/Hinata).

Summary: Two scorned lovers find themselves in a bar drinking alone. One's a wizard fresh off a job and a relationship, and the other is a ninja who needed to get away after a nasty breakup. A chance encounter leads to something potentially great.

Disclaimer: I own nothing other than my copy of MS Word and my desktop. Harry Potter belongs to JK Rowling and Naruto to Viz Media and Masashi Kishimoto. I only own this concept. See the foreword for the full disclaimer.

In a bar that sat in the middle of one of the seedier parts of Tokyo was the bar 'Noir.' A fifties smooth jazz lounge-themed bar complete with live musical performers. Inside the clientele was split between two different parties, those who were there for the music and the atmosphere while they drank, and the other half glorified cosplayers wanting to live in a time they weren't even alive for. But we, the onlookers from another world, turn our attention to two individuals currently sitting at the bar.

The first of the two is a man between the ages of twenty and twenty-five. He's about five foot, ten inches – approximately 178 centimeters – tall. Has jet back, neatly unkempt hair that looks like a hair product probably couldn't control it even if you tried. His hair was draped in such a way to cover a scar that had long since faded, but was still there if you looked for it against his pale skin, in the shape of a lightning bolt. His eyes were an emerald green that appeared to glow ever so slightly in the dim light of the bar. He wore a simple blue t-shirt under his black leather jacket that seemed to be made of some kind of reptile skin, jeans, and boots. His physique looked normal at first glance for a Western foreigner, that being fairly active; maybe not an athlete, but he wasn't sedentary. His facial structure was high cheekbones, almost aristocratic. He was nursing an imported Irish whiskey. If one would spare a glance, one may observe that he appeared to not be going through the greatest of times in his life.

A few seats away sat a woman. The only three features the two had in common were their hair color, that they were currently going through something and drinking because of it, and that they had paler skin in comparison to their neighbors; but besides that, they were different. The most obvious difference was that where his hair was shaggy and unkempt, hers was straightened, long, and the envy of every girl in school. Ha! And you thought I was going to say that it was that she had boobs and he didn't. Well, that was a difference that is true. She is a woman, he's a man after all. She was a bit shorter at five foot, six inches – or 167 centimeters – tall. Her figure was very lithe yet toned like a predatory cat would be if given human form. While what she wore was slightly strange, what made her really stand out to the observant were her eyes; to the casual onlooker they were pure white giving her the appearance of blindness, but the truly observant would see that her irises were a pale lavender that ever so barely blended into the rest of her eye's whites though it did seem that her pupil did blend in as well. Her facial structure showed a fondness for cuteness and innocence that men wanted in their women and hinted at an upbringing of being well off. What she wore made her appear as if she had just come from an anime or other cosplay event; black toeless boots which were more like sandals that were worn barefoot, and she wore what looked like cargo pants fitted more for the female form as opposed to a generic wearing by either sex, she wore a purple and white patterned zip-up hoodie – the purple around the torso in a triangle and the white outwards towards the sleeves – that was zipped down just enough to see what was worn underneath, under that, she wore what appeared to be a mesh shirt of some kind which was vaguely opaque, lastly, she had what appeared to be some kind of headband worn as a necklace/gaiter. The final difference between the two was where the man was she was of Asiatic descent and he was of Anglo-Saxon. She appeared to be staring at a partially drunk mai tai.

The man finished his drink and flagged the bartender down for another. As he came over with the drink, he slightly gestured to the woman and asked quietly, "Who's she?"

The bartender shrugged, "I don't know. But she's not from around here." Both of them could have sworn that they saw her eyes dart to them as if she heard what they said, but they wrote it off.

Before either of them could say anything more, an extremely drunk man walked over to her. "Hey there sweet cheeks," the drunk slurred out. "You're looking sad." He leaned on the bar obscuring the man's sight-line on the girl. "Me and my buddies could cheer you up really quick."

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," the man spoke up as he took another sip.

"Whazzit to ya, gaijin?" the drunk said to the man. "You going to do something about me?"

"No, I don't need to. I've seen her type before. She'll more likely to shove your own foot up your ass than kiss it. Walk away and save yourself the agony."

"Why I oughta!" the drunk said as he stomped towards the man.

"Ah hem," the bartender announced his presence and a bouncer stepped into their line of sight. He pointed to a sign above the bar itself that said 'No fighting. No exceptions.' "Gentlemen."

"You'll have no arguments from me," the man said as he continued his drink, completely unfazed by the drunk clearly willing to fight.

The drunk looked to the bartender, then to the bouncer who had been silently inching closer. "Fine!" he spat out before stomping back to his group of friends.

"I didn't need you to save me," the woman stated.

"No, but I know that look in your eye. You were going to beat him to an inch of his life. Frankly, I was just saving Jimmy here," he pointed to the bartender, "from having to call the cops and clean up all the blood the inevitable one-sided fight would cause." He stood up and walked over to be a seat away. "You look like you're going through some shit."

She was silent for a moment before replying, "What gave it away?"

"Other than being sad and in a bar? You've been thumbing that gaiter for the last twenty minutes alone."

"That's rich coming from you, mister doom and gloom."

"Do I give off that vibe?" She nodded. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't all gloomy." He held out his hand, "I'm Harry," he introduced himself.

"Hinata," she did likewise and shook his hand. Hinata could help but notice the ruggedness of his hands and Harry noticed the soft calluses on hers.

"So, what brings someone like you into a place like this?" Harry asked.

"You first," Hinata rebutted.

"Fair enough," he said as he took a drink. "To celebrate another contract completion and to attempt to forget my ex." She paused but indicated that she wanted him to elaborate. "I was a married man for a couple of years. Married my high school sweetheart almost immediately after graduating and entering the workforce. Had my first daughter the same year and I thought everything was great."

"But it wasn't," Hinata filled in the details.

"Yeah, turns out my baby girl wasn't mine. My ever-so-loving wife was cheating on me from day one with a teammate on her sports team. They had apparently also been close for years through school."

"How come?"

"I have a couple of thoughts. The first is that I'm from old money though I don't really like to talk about it; I didn't really know about it until my tenth birthday. She wanted to use me for my wealth as a nest egg for whatever children we had, legitimate or illegitimate, and for her to retire on. The sport she plays has people retire at ages younger than thirty. She was also a party girl wanting to go out every weekend when I was working and during those weekends would hook up with that flame of hers. When I found out, they had been deep in the throughs of their taboo rendezvous, and to say I was furious would be an understatement."

"What'd you do?"

"Beat her lover within an inch of his life, verbally divorced her on the spot, and later filed the paperwork with the government," he casually said as he finished the rest of his drink and flagged the bartender over again to top it off. "The worst part of it is that she tried to pawn my daughter off on me for child support stating that she was 'my daughter' despite a genealogy test showing otherwise. I think that was the insult to injury there."

"Do you hate the girl?"

"No, but I hate her cheating whore of a mother. I don't want my hatred of that woman to taint how I see her, so it's probably best if I keep my distance."

"And your job?" she asked as she finished her own drink and the bartender pulled out another for her.

"Used to be a lawman in Britain. Went private sector when I left. I've been all around the globe but have been on a string of jobs here helping the local police." He took a drink and downed about half of it. "So, I told you my story, how about yours?"

She was silent, thinking over how to convey her own tale of woe. "I come from a village far away from here," she started. "This village is in a place where war between them is quite common. We had encountered a threat that united all of us under one banner and leader to fight it. At the end of it all, we thought I had won the affection of my childhood crush. I never had the courage to tell him how I felt until it was almost too late when the leader of the organization which was a front for the harbinger of that greater threat made me legally dead for about a minute. After that, I thought I had won his heart, but it didn't seem to be. He kept ignoring me for his friend which had gone rogue."

"Guys are dense, trust me. Source: I'm a guy and I'm dense; a lot less than I used to be, but I still am."

"Yes, he was dense. When the greater threat was addressed and the dust settled, we had made plans to go out and get married. Right as we were going to tie the knot, the village elders nullified the engagement and had him marry someone they approved of, someone 'worthy' of being with their hero. I was heartbroken and just left on an extended trip to just... figure things out. What made it worse is that he just went along with it and fell in love with that other harlot."

"I know the feeling, that's this whole freelancer gig's secondary purpose: get away and give me something to do." Harry downed his drink and the bartender already had another one ready. "What's next in the life of Hinata..." he trailed, fishing for a last name.

"Hyūga," she completed.

"Hinata Hyūga?"

"I don't know, my romantic interests were centered completely around him, and my prospects are slim. Pretty much everyone in my age group have already paired up." She downed her own glass which was quickly replaced.

"How come?"

She felt the alcohol dull her inhibitions. She had been trained to resist chemical interrogations, but alcohol was something she didn't have a resistance to due to very limited exposure. She supposed that she could let a little more about her home out. "In our line of work, there is a high chance of dying young, so people my age marry young and have children as quickly as possible just in case."

"I know that feeling, except replace job with school. Every year I would get involved with new shenanigans, usually not of my own volition, which would increase in danger every year. Teacher possessed by the spirit of the man who tried to kill me as an infant and succeeded with my parents, a giant snake that can kill you with a single glance and venom able to dissolve a body in a day but kills in minutes, soul-sucking demons which make you live in perpetual agony if they succeed, a tournament which had a propensity of leaving the participants dead with ever-increasing levels of danger, a teacher that got turned on by giving children permanent corporal punishments, seeing my mentor die at the hands of my mother's stalker childhood friend, seeing said man also die quite painfully, and fighting a literal multi-day battle after being on the lam for six months hunting artifacts able of possessing the person who holds them against the same man's literal army before facing him and dying legally for a few minutes." The liquor had loosened his tongue and inhibitions as well.

"Seems like we attract danger and dying at least once legally," she mused darkly.

"Something like that. Death, don't try it, it's not fun."

"Agreed," she giggled. "So, what's next in the life of Harry..."

"Potter."

"Harry Potter?"

"I don't know. Maybe do a job or two here in the country, see the sights maybe. Then on to the next country. I hear the Mexican government is looking for those who will go after sicarios. But for tonight? I think I'll be content with sitting next to a cute girl, drinking a little more, and talking shit about our exes and letting the rest of the nightfall where it may sounds just wonderful."

"That sounds fun," she giggled as her face lit up from being called cute by a handsome man.

"To new friends and talking shit about our dirtbag exes," Harry raised a glass.

"To new friends," she raised hers and toasted with clinked glasses. "And talking shit," she said right before they took a drink in sync. She took a seat next to him. "So, what dirt do you have on your ex?"

"Quite a bit," he said with a smirk.

The two started to share stories about their exes. Starting first with her ex's annoying habit of having an obsession with ramen, not enjoying it but being plain obsessed with it. Planning his entire day around it. She understood why it was important to him, but she didn't get the obsession. Harry then talked about his ex's annoying habit of 'starfishing' in bed, that being just spreading her legs and spacing out, pretending like she was somewhere else and he was someone else. Eventually, the bar called for 'last call' and the two stumbled, extremely drunk, out of the bar after paying their tabs.

"Do you have a hotel?" Harry asked Hinata who was hanging on to his shoulder.

She shook her head, "No, I just got into town."

"No luggage?"

"Just the shirt on my back," she hiccupped.

"You can stay in my hotel for the night if you want."

"Are you sure?"

"It's big enough for a whole family, after all."

"Alright," she agreed. The two walked to the nearest major street and hailed a cab. Said cab took them to Harry's hotel. They entered and rode the elevator up to the top floor as he had a suite reserved there. "Wow!" she drunkenly slurred. While the drive over had sobered them up a little, they were still very under the influence.

"I know, right?" The hotel room was a penthouse suite. It was pretty much like a large apartment in the 'upper crust' areas of the city. He closed and locked the door behind them and spotted the bathroom. "I'm going to take a quick shower; I feel kind of gross right now."

"Alright," she nodded before she stumbled over to the window that overlooked the city.

Five minutes later, Harry came out in just a bathrobe. "You can get cleaned up if you want; they have bathrobes in the closet." She nodded and did the same. But where his shower was extremely short, hers was longer. During the time she was in there, she was contemplating her options. Finding bravery in the liquor she drank, she turned off the water and got dried off before exiting in a robe as well. "How'd you like it?" he asked as he stood at the foot of the bed. "I personally like the high-powered jets." Before he could say anything more, she leaned in and kissed him cutting off any further trains of thought. "What are you-?" Harry tried to ask before she pushed him gently on his chest and he fell backward on his rear onto the bed.

"I did some thinking while I was cleaning up," Hinata started to say as she untied her robe, her bountiful breasts starting to push the robe open showing that she wasn't wearing anything underneath similar to him. Only a piece of very soft robe covered her loins. "And I've decided that I want to forget about my ex." She shrugged her shoulders and the robe fell away revealing her toned, feminine body. Her breasts were large and soft looking, her nipples slowly hardening to indicate that she was aroused, and her shaven groin was left on display. Her cheeks were lit up with embarrassment, but she powered through it. "I then thought that I should help you forget about yours too."

Her hand reached down between the flaps of his robe and gently wrapped around his member, her soft warm flesh and the presence of it causing it to react by twitching. "What are-?"

She reached out with her other hand and placed a finger on his lips to silence him. "Shh," she shushed sultrily. "I may be a sheltered girl, but that doesn't mean I didn't pick up a few things from my friends."

"My god!" Harry moaned out as she started to gently stroke his shaft.

"Let me… help you… forget…" she sultrily moaned as she leaned in close to kiss him once again. Alcohol was still heavy on both their lips.

To be continued…?

That's all I have for this one. Yes, I pretty much cockblocked some people who may have been getting into it, maybe. The reason I didn't go through with it? I don't know, I just wasn't feeling it. I didn't want to half-ass it, so it's better to cut it where I left it. So, what do I imagine happening for this fic should it continue? I have no idea. The first idea is that they start getting involved in each other's lives and Hinata joining Harry's little "bounty hunting" thing he's got going on, Konoha and Hinata's family not liking her running off. Harry and someone almost kills each other before Hinata declares her love for him and they back off. Outside of that, I have no idea what I want to do with this. I'm pretty sure there are some people in this community that could come up with an idea that is based on this and do an amazing job with it. If you think you're one of these people, go do it and DM me the story link, consider me interested.

On to other story ideas. As previously stated, I'm still working through my backlog of ideas as some of them are dependent on a specific episode of a series for inspiration for it. There is a newer one I'm working on involving Payday 2, so we'll see if that one even happens or if it'll be in development hell and end up in the Scrapyard. I still have part 3 of that one Darling in the FRANXX story I released a part 2 of forever and a half ago and hinted at a part 3 finale. That one's stuck on the space battle scene and I've been trying to listen to audiobooks from the X-Wing series of books as well as the Thrawn series (the Disney-compliant one) for inspiration on how to write that as fight scenes are awkward in and of themselves, but adding in 3-dimensional space and keeping track of all of it? A completely different challenge altogether. I still have a few of the "original" ideas still being worked on, those will be released sooner or later here.

On to real-life stuff. We had a new guy quit after a week which makes me sad since it pushes off my promotion again (despite getting the pay raise for that promotion), methinks the guy in question just wanted to be employed long enough to keep unemployment going but I don't know. One of the other guys on my team was hired on by another department so we're going to be two people down starting next week so I'll likely be pretty stressed because of it. Don't be super surprised if there's either a dip in quality or there isn't anything posted for a week or two. Why is it so hard to find quality employees, man?

That's all I have for now. Addresses for anon tips are in my profile. Let me know what you thought about the idea itself in all the usual places. And I'll see you in whatever I decide to put out next.
