"Next! What can I do for ya kid?"

The black-haired kid stepped up to the window of the school office, moving a piece of stray hair away from his forehead as he did so.

"Hi, I'm new here. I was told to come here to collect my timetable." He said, his Glaswegian accent seeming to catch the receptionist slightly off guard.

"No problem. I just need your name."

"It's Jason. Jason Fitzpatrick."

"Okay Jason, just give me a second." She said as she turned to the computer. "You don't get your schedule here. You'll get that in homeroom which is... up in the math department with Miss Young."

"Okay, thanks."

"Uh, kid?" She said as he turned to leave. "Don't you wanna know where you're going?"

A kid with long black hair behind him chuckled as Jason's cheeks turned slightly red. "That would probably help. Just a bit nervous y'know"

"Everyone does on their first day, it's natural. Anyway, you wanna go halfway down that corridor, go up two flights of stairs, turn right, then left and you're in the math department. You got that?"

"Halfway down the corridor, two flights of stairs then..."

"Right, then left." She finished.

"I can show you." The kid behind him moved forward. "That's where my class is too."

"Thanks. I appreciate that." Jason said thankfully.

"No problem. I just have to hand this note in." He said turning to the receptionist. "My mom would've called but she was running late for work."

"Okay, that's no problem I'll let Mr McMahon know." She said as she opened up the piece of paper. "Now you two better get going or you'll be late."

"Thanks for your help." Said Jason as he and the long-haired boy headed down the corridor.

"So, new kid. You said your name was Jason?"

"Uh, yeah. Jason Fitzpatrick."

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Jason. I'm Seth. Seth Rollins."

"It's nice to meet you too Seth. Thanks again for showing me around."

"Not a problem. This place can be a bit of a maze. My buddies and I were always getting lost our first week here but we figured it out eventually."

"Yeah, my old school was like that. I got shouted at by a teacher for wandering the corridors my second day. I was just trying to find my English class."

"He yelled at you because you got lost?"

"Yeah. He was some bitter old guy. Everyone hated him. He got fired after the head found out he had been mixing vodka in with his tea during class."

"Wow." Seth chuckled. "Well I've never had a teacher who drank in front of students but I think everybody has had a bitter teacher. Makes you wonder why they ever started teaching in the first place huh? Anyway, this is it. Miss Young's class."

The two walked in just as the bell rang to start the day.

"Here you can sit next to me. Hey guys, what's up?" Seth sat at his desk and started speaking to the two boys in front of him.

"What's up? It's the first day back from summer vacation, what do you think is up?" Said the smaller of the two aggressively.

"Woah, what's got you so upset?" Asked the bigger kid.

"Yeah, I was just saying hi, man." Said Seth defensively.

"Sorry. It's just my mom and her stupid boyfriend."

"What happened this time?" Asked the other kid as if he'd heard the same complaint 1000 times before.

The boy sighed. "I don't wanna talk about it." He said and laid his head on the desk.

The big guy shook his head before turning to Jason. "So who's this?"

"Oh yeah. Guys, this is Jason. He just moved here from... that's a Scottish accent right?" He asked getting a nod from him. "Scotland. Jason, this is Roman and the kid who has somehow already fallen asleep is Dean."

"Good to meet ya, Jason." Said Roman as he shook the kid's hand. "I'm sure you'll talk to Dean too when he wakes up at some point in the next week. I swear if sleeping was in the Olympics he'd be a gold medalist."

"Okay everyone, settle down." The teacher rose from her desk and moved to the front of the class. "Welcome back, I hope you all enjoyed your summer because the next year is going to be the toughest of your life so far. I have your class schedules here-. Is he asleep?" She asked Roman.

"Did you expect anything different?"

"I at least thought he'd make it until next week before sleeping in class. Dean!"

"I'm awake!" He exclaimed as his head shot up from the desk, earning a few laughs.

"Good. You can pass these schedules out to everyone." She said and dropped them on his desk.

With a sigh, he grabbed the schedules and trudged around the room handing them out until he came to Jason. "Who are you?" He asked.

"Maybe if you didn't fall asleep you'd have heard him introduce himself." Said Roman.

"Shut up. Alright, don't tell me I got this." He said while thumbing through them all. "Yoooooouuuuuu arrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeee Jason?"

Jason took the schedule and thanked him while Roman & Seth gave him a sarcastic applause, earning themselves a middle finger from the messy-haired boy.

"I saw that Dean."

"Sorry Miss Young. It's not even 8 o'clock and you two are gonna get me detention." He said as he turned to move onto the rest of the class.

"Yeah because it's our fault that you fell asleep." Said Seth, earning another middle finger.

"Dean!" Exclaimed Miss Young, causing the three other boys to fall into silent laughter.

However, at the other side of the room, a girl sat and watched the boys laugh with a look of curiosity and intrigue. Her eyes glued to St Patrick's High's newest student.
