recap: Tenebris' expression went from curiosity to disgust. "Ew! What the heck am I looking at?!" she questioned as she stared at the deformed angel-looking Quincy. She could see it was more stable than what Uryu did back when they went to save Rukia. (She had left while Ichigo was training to check on everyone else back then.) However, she preferred it over this thing, whose eyes had changed to something other than human. Still, though, she couldn't help but laugh as well. "You look like God's rejected son!"

Due to her laughing, she didn't have time to react to the incoming attack. She was hit in the gut by something and sent tumbling out of the sky. She felt a small bit of regret, but as soon as her blood-red eyes met his illusion-looking ones, she felt it vanish and be replaced by mirth.

Tenebris got back up onto her four talons and smirked widely. She still thought his form was funny as heck - even if it was ugly too - she also knew that this guy could help her get rid of whatever rust she had on her claws and fangs.

"If that's how you want to play, then let's play!" she roared in excitement for the battle to come.

Quilge fired off an attack, which Tenebris dodged swiftly. Using the kicked-up sand to her advantage, the dark dragon dashed forward and clamped her powerful jaws around Quilge's arm. She pulled the man along with her and twisted in the air before slamming him down onto the rough sand. Tenebris turned to face Quilge and jumped ten feet into the air above her target with her jaws ajar. Pressurized water shot out from her mouth and slammed into her enemy, knocking up dry and wet, chunky sand.

Tenebris used her wings to clear the dust. Once she could see she noticed that Quilge wasn't lying in the crater as she expected. Before she could begin looking for her opponent, a fist met her jaw, causing a roar of pain to leave her throat. She flapped her wings to regain balance and turned to face Quilge, who was dripping wet with a bruise forming over his whole abdomen.

"That was a good attack, but as you can see I'm still standing," Quilge said with a cocky grin, but the sight of that grin irritated Tenebris for reasons unknown.

"I can see you're mostly unharmed, but I must correct you: you're not standing, you're flying," she replied in a way that sounded like she was talking to a confused child.

The Quincy narrowed his eyes and parted his lips, but before he could say anything, Tenebris front-flipped and brought her barbed tail down onto his head, sending him rocketing into the sandy ground.

Tenebris rolled out of the way of an arrow and then another. Arrows were flying at her so quickly, she didn't have time to aim at the enemy and fire off an attack of her own. Since she couldn't hit him, she blocked his view of her. She breathed fire at the ground, causing more sand to fly. With Quilge unable to see, Tenebris drilled her way down into the sand. She kept digging and moving until she was right under him. She spiraled up and clashed with her opponent.

Quilge recovered quickly and began sending reishi spheres at her. Tenebris felt she shouldn't be touched by the spheres, causing her to dodge them all.

'This is starting to drag out,' Tenebris thought in annoyance. 'I'm going to end this.'

She flew high, so high up that her opponent was a dot in the desert. She powered up a dark breath, but as she was about to fire, spiritual pressure choked her for a split second as it caught her unaware. She glared down at the cause, seeing the three female Arrancar standing up and holding their arms.

"What are they doing?!" she questioned irritatedly. Her answer came in the form of a brown, hairy monster as tall as a small skyscraper. "Can't they see I'm fighting him? I don't need help so this is an unnecessary distraction." She was annoyed because she knew her attack would have either knocked out Quilge or killed him, but now this thing showed up and prevented her from doing that.

The matter got worse when Quilge absorbed the monster into himself, causing him to become stronger and uglier. Tenebris could hardly look at the creature below, but this helped her notice Ichigo and Shiro getting ready to fight Quilge. She relaxed her wings, causing her to freefall until she was ten feet from the ground, and then pulled herself up and landed in front of her two siblings.

With a glare, she asked, "What do you two think you're doing?"

Ichigo looked at her with unsure wide eyes. "We want to help?" he said, but Tenerbis could hear the question within.

"No. Normally I don't mind, but I refuse to allow aid in this fight against such an abomination. You can help me in keeping those three Arrancar out of my way, though," she said while throwing sharp, red eyes at the three beasts, who were looking shocked at their monster being taken out so quickly.

Ichigo and Shiro looked at each other before sighing. Ichigo turned his brown eyes back to Tenebris. "Alright, we'll do it you're way, but are you sure you can handle him?" he asked.

Tenebris grinned, "I've had about enough of him, so yes, I'll have him full of sand in no time." She wasn't sure if she could pull off her claim, knowing how plans change quickly during battle.

Tenebris turned to face her annoying enemy again. "I'm just about ready to kill someone, but since those three are out of the question, you'll have to do," she told Quilge, who gave a creepy smirk in return.

"You haven't been doing a good job of killing me so far, and now with this power boost, I'm confident that I can kill you, Dark Dragon," he said arrogantly.

Tenebris scoffed. 'He hasn't seen what I can truly do yet. I've just been playing with him, but now he's become a nuisance.'

The two held eye contact for five seconds before Tenebris moved. She jumped up and slammed a paw into the sand, sending out a pulse of pure dark energy. It was the move Dark Field, which would kill a normal human when hit, but the Dark Dragon wasn't sure if it would kill the monster in front of her.

Dark Field hit her target, sending him back like he was hit by the shockwave of an explosion. Tenebris heard him scream in pain, causing her to grin evilly. 'A nasty side effect of Dark Feild - it feels like you're being electrocuted.'

Tenebris took this time to bite her wing, drawing a few drops of blood. She used this blood to create a copy of herself with the ability of Blood Illusion. She jumped into the sky to hide while controlling her clone to attack Quilge.

Quilge recovered from Tenebris' last attack, only for his eyes to widen as claws raked across his face. He screamed at the pain of a lost eye, but anger allowed him to catch the next attack and punch the dragon hollow in the face. He became shocked and confused when Tenebris burst like a bloody water balloon, but it vanished when he was hit from above by a powerful beam of blue fire.

Tenebris dove with her tail encased in sharp ice the second Quilge was hit with her blue fire breath. She flipped forward, bringing her tail down and hitting her enemy, who froze upon contact.

Tenebris landed on the sand and used her wind breath to clear the air. Once Quilge was visible, she saw that her enemy was stuck in a block of thick ice. She stalked over to the ice with plans of shattering it with her Earth Breath, but before putting her plan into action, a voice could be heard from a device. She snapped her head around to see where it was coming from and realized that Urahara had set up a tent with a computer already inside.

'When did he do that?' she thought to herself. She looked between the frozen Quilge and the computer, debating if she should go over or finish off the Quincy. As soon as she heard Urahara call Ichigo over, she knew she was going to regret her decision. She decided to leave Quilge and move closer to the tent. 'He shouldn't be able to get out of that ice easily,' she thought.

When she got to the tent, she realized the voice belonged to Akon from division 12 of the Shinigami. She listened to his words. "The Wandenreich are attacking the Soul Society! Everyone is out fighting, but the enemy is stronger than we thought. We don't know how they even got in! We need Ichigo Kurosaki and his hollows to get over here!"

Tenebris believed Akon when he said the shinigami were having a hard time with the enemy, Quilge was giving her trouble, and he was a recruit man! He couldn't have been someone too powerful if that was his position.

"We'll be there shortly," said Ichigo with fire in his eyes. "Urahara, can you open up a way to get us there?"

"I'm already working on it, Ichigo," Urahara replied.

Ichigo turned to Tenebris. "Is your opponent getting out of that?"

She turned to Quilge in thought. "It should hold him for at least ten minutes," she reported.

"Alright, that should give us time to get to Soul Society without him trying to stop us."

"The Garganta is open!" Urahara informed them, causing Tenebris to look up and see a Garganta waiting for them 30 feet above the ground.

"Let's go!" Ichigo shouted as he jumped into the Garganta, quickly followed by Shiro. Tenebris was about to follow, but a cracking sound stopped her. With wide eyes, she turned around, seeing the ice around Quilge breaking off piece by piece.

Ichigo and Shiro were making their way through the Garganta while Akon explained to them what had been going on in Soul Society. They have been trying to find out how the Quincies got there, but they have yet to figure it out, and they had lost a ton of shinigami.

Ichigo became worried for everyone, but his biggest concerns were Rukia and Renji. He knew they could take care of themselves, but if Tenebris, who can take on a whole army by herself on a normal day, was having a hard time fighting one of these guys, then his two friends could be in danger.

'I guess she could be rusty,' he thought, trying to soothe his worries. 'She did wake from her seal about a few months ago, after all.'

Ichigo saw Shiro look behind him from the corner of his eye. "Hey, where did Feathers go?" the hollow zanpakuto questioned. The two stopped running turn around. Shiro was right, Tenebris wasn't behind them; instead, blue reishi spheres were flying at them. Ichigo swung his sword to block the attack, but the reishi expanded and wrapped around them, trapping them inside a ball-shaped cage.

"What the heck is this?!" Both Shiro and Ichigo yelled. Ichigo called Akon to let him know they were trapped but quickly found out that he lost contact. While Ichigo was trying to see if Akon could still hear him, Shiro tried to break free from their prison, but each time he swung his sword, both were hit with the backlash of reishi.

Tenebris saw the ice shatter as Quilge broke free. He didn't look at her but instead eyed the Garganta. He send out balls of reishi through the gaping black hole and laughed hysterically when Ichigo and Shiro became trapped in a ball-shaped cage.

While the man shouted in victory and bosting about the power of the letter J for Jail, Tenebris had charged up an attack. She felt the dark energy running through her, causing her blood to feel like it was boiling. She sunk into a shadow below her and jumped out from Quilge's. He turned around, feeling her presence, to block her attack, but it was too late - all her teeth and claws pierced his body. The dark energy she built up entered, causing his blood to boil, which showed through his skin. Steam was coming from his nose, mouth, and eyes as the heat in his blood became too much. Quilge's mouth was open in a silent scream as he felt himself being cooked alive by his blood.

Tenebris turned away from him, deciding to leave and get out of the splash zone. She jumped into the Garganta to help Ichigo and Shiro, and as soon as she hopped on top of the cage, she heard a pop - the sound reminded her of a water balloon.

"Tenebris, what was that popping sound?" Ichigo asked warily, causing her to smile innocently.

"That was the sound of a Quincy exploding," she replied cheerfully. Ichigo's eyes widened in horror while Shiro laughed insanely. Tenebris knew her tone didn't match the morbid truth, instead sounding like a child talking about their favorite event in a kid's movie, but she hated that guy!

"Now I'm scared to ask, but how did he explode?" Ichigo asked cautiously.

"I used Blood Eruption, an ability that boils the blood to high temperatures, causing the victim to explode," she lectured.

Ichigo's face turned a light shade of green but kept silent. Shiro looked like he wanted to ask for all the gory details, but Tenebris stopped him.

"I think it's time we get you out of this cage, don't you?" she asked with a tilted head.

"Yes!" Ichigo shouted. "I need to get out of here and to Soul Society now! I can hear everyone dying!" Tenebris had no idea what he was talking about, but shrugged it off and began to attack the cage.

Finally, we are at a good part. I have something funny planned for the next chapter, I hope you like it. ;)

Ichi: That last move you did was not fun. :(

Shiro: I'm sad I didn't see it! DX

Enj/Dark: This story is rated T, I couldn't show something that gruesome.

Ichi: I'm not going to ask! I don't want to know! *runs out of the room*

Shiro: Let me guess, you would have written what the effect of the explosion was in detail?

Enj/Dark: Yes, which would have made me boost the rating.

Shiro: Again, I'm sad I didn't see it. T^T

Enj/Dark: Please review! ^-^
