The Heavens

"So, The Angel of Destiny informed the eldest of her pregnancy?" The old man said while covering his face with a soft glow under the white hood.

Another hooded figure nodded their head and said with a woman's voice, "Yes. It appears that she believed she was incapable of conceiving. However, their union was fated."

A third figure scoffed then said, "Fated? More like an abomination. Leo and the witch never should have been allowed to marry, let alone breed. It's bad enough we are stuck with the half-breed sister."

The woman clicked her tongue quickly in whitelighter language then said, "You know if not for her the Power of Three would have been lost. So with it our greatest weapon."

"Greatest weapon...yet. This child will be the most powerful being to ever exist." The old man said as he walked closer to the cloaked woman. "There was a strong chance of this prophecy never coming to pass. Her pregnancy needed to be timed just right. As it is, we may have to cause her to give birth sooner than is natural to ensure the final component of the prophecy."

The woman continued, "We must ensure that the first born is the child prophesized. Thankfully the middle sister lost that creature she was pregnant with. It was a soulless vessel for The Source's essence. That particular prophecy was averted, for which the world is grateful."

The other man spoke gruffly, "Yes, and we have no proof that the prophecy of The Twice Blessed and that of The Damned One are not speaking of the same being! The ancient writings are far too similar to know what this child will bring."

"Gideon, your objections have been noted. The general Council of Elders voted you down." The woman spoke sternly. "There is no proof for or against your theory. Yes, both beings are said to come from 'the trinity of power' however, there are other covens beyond that of The Charmed Ones where three is a source of their power".

"You do not understand Sandra! If we allow this child to be born, we risk unleashing the greatest force of evil upon this world." Gideon replied as his glow dimmed.

There was silence for a moment. Then Sandra said, "Callum, what do you think?"

The man known as Callum calmly said, "The Warren line has been important to the grand design for centuries. There is no reason to intervene now, when everything has worked out as intended."

Gideon's glow darkened again and said, "You're all fools." Then he turned and walked away.

October 15, 2002

"As I have said there is no other option. This prophecy must not be allowed to come to pass." Gideon said as he looked over the chamber of Elders from the podium.

"Gideon, what is it you plan to do? Piper Halliwell is already in her second trimester. The fetus is developing powers which she is able to tap into. It is even healing her on an instinctual level. The Oracles have also foreseen that she has high blood pressure. There is every probability that she will give birth on the equinox. There is nothing that can change this destiny." Sandra spoke from the front of the group of Elders.

His face grew dark and he said firmly, "We could request The Cleaners erase this...abomination from the world."

Quickly shouts of outrage rang out. Many of the Elders were arguing among themselves, some firmly against it while others considering Gideon's suggestion. As Gideon watched the arguing, he smiled.

"That is enough." Came a voice with no form. The room fell to a hush.

Callum looks towards the clouds and said, "Angels, please grace us with your presence."

Sparkling gold lights began to form and float around the chamber. The open room seeming to be filled with this angelic energy. Gideon stepped down from the lifted stage as the lights come towards his podium. When the orbs coalesced into form, there stood three Angels of Destiny. One, an pleasant elderly white man with a short beard. Another, a regal middle-aged black woman with long braided hair. Finally, a young Asian man with a high ponytail. Each dressed in the golden robes and simple crystal jewelry signaling them as Angels of Destiny.

"Thank you Callum," said the elderly angel said as he nodded to Callum.

The regal angel looked over the Elders with steel in her eyes and said, "You, the guardians of the Heavens are bickering over the grand design. Who are you to question this plan?"

Gideon looked at the angels defiantly and said, "We're the protectors of this world. It falls to us to ensure the grand design comes to pass, and to protect all those whom align with Good."

"See, this is where you are wrong." Said the young angel. He smiled and said, "You're middle management. You don't drive the car, you just make sure it doesn't fall apart while on the road."

Some of the Elders gasped in shock at this joke. The elderly angel gave the young angel a stern look but said nothing.

Gideon's face was showing non of his hatred. Instead it was blank as he said, "What is it you want Angels of Destiny?"

The regal angel looked at him and she said, "We have come with a compromise." She waited a moment, looking over the crowd. Then she said, "Our power allows us to see far more than your Oracles. We have seen that there is much good that can come from the birth of this child. However, there is also a chance, slight as it is, that the actions of a few..." She gave Gideon a quick glance. "...would cause the child's destiny to be become twisted."

"What compromise is there then?" Shouted a male Elder from the crowd.

The elderly white angel spoke firmly, "We will extend the prophecy of the Twice Blessed to the first-born of each sister."

The crowd looked nervous. Then Sandra said, "Blessed angels, what will that accomplish?"

"Taking the destiny, and with it the power associated with it, will mean that each will be less powerful than if one held the power alone." Said the elderly angel.

"Think of it like a new generation of Charmed Ones, but not really..." chimed in the younger angel. He chuckled then said, "With three of these beings, they will only be able to accomplish the Twice Blessed destiny together. That keeps them grounded and in-check by one another."

The Elders spoke among themselves and seemed to be in agreement. Gideon spoke more calmly and asked, "Does making this change negate The Damned One prophecy?"

The lady angel said smoothly, "Yes. That prophecy will be archived with the other unfulfilled prophecies."

"Make no mistake elder whitelighters. This decision has not been made lightly, and any further interference from you on this matter will not be tolerated..." Said the older angel. Then he looked to Gideon and said, "...and punishment will be far worse than recycling your soul."

To his credit, Gideon looked both embarrassed and fearful.

The angels gathered together and spoke in unison, "When three planets burn as one over a sky of dancing light, magic will rest for a holy day to welcome the first of the twice blessed children. From the Charmed trinity so come the Blessed Ones, their shared fate bound by destiny."

After the new prophecy was declared the Angels of Destiny left in the same sparkling golden light as they arrived. The majority of the Elders soon after left as well. Only leaving Gideon, Callum, and Sandra.

"Well, that was unexpected." Callum said rubbing his eyes.

Sandra glared at Gideon and said, "You now walk a very fine line Gideon. I think it's best for everyone here if your focus is kept on Dovewolf Academy for the foreseeable future."

Gideon simply nodded then said, "Understood" and orbed out.

Callum placed his hand on Sandra's shoulder and said, "We were lucky today. Who knows what would have happened if Gideon was left unchecked."

The Angelic Realm

The three Angels of Destiny teleported in. Once solidified, they each conjured a large, plush armchair and sat.

"Do you think we made the right decision?" Asked the older of the angels.

"Merrick, you know as well as we do that this was the only choice. If we took no action, Gideon most likely would have twisted that poor child in the near future." Said the woman angel.

"You're right Selene. However, we have moved the original child's soul onto a new path, altered time to allow this reincarnation to occur, and also changed the fates of their other children to come." Merrick said.

"You two worry for nothing. Any ripples in fate because of this is above our paygrade." The youngest angel said with a broad smile.

Selene shook her head and said, "Hoshi, you're ridiculous."

"Baby's coming! Baby's coming!" Phoebe shouted as she ushered Piper to the dining room table.

Phoebe helped Piper up onto the table while Paige grabbed blankets and towels. Piper and Phoebe's father, Victor, was there and he tried to comfort his daughter.

"Dad! Sorry about your demon wife." Piper said through gritted teeth. The contractions were only a minute apart now.

Her dad rolled his eyes and said, "Shhh, don't worry about that now."

"Ok Piper, it's time. You need to be ready to push." Phoebe said as she took her place at Piper's feet.

Paige stood next to Victor and rubbed Piper's back. There she said, "You've got this Piper."

Piper was just about to start pushing when the door to the manor flew open. It was Leo, he finally made it back to the house.

"What did I miss?" Leo asked with panted breath.

"A lot!" Piper yelled at him from the table.

"Victor's hurt, you need to heal him." Paige said to Leo, then tossed him the bag of unicorn horn powder.

Leo nodded and stepped up to Victor. He sprinkled the powder over his wound and it began to close in the same golden light of his healing power. Victor checked his injury, saw it was healed and thanked Leo with a manly hug.

Leo rushed over to be at Piper's side. Victor remained in the background and allowed his son-in-law to take his rightful place behind his daughter.

"Ok Piper, you can do this. I need you to push." Phoebe said staring at Piper's determined face.

Piper grimaced and said, "I don't think I can."

Phoebe shook her head and said, "Yes you can, a big one!"

With that, Piper concentrated and pushed. As she pushed blue light began to dance down from the chandelier.

Paige looked up and smiled saying, "Magic must be coming back."

"I see a head!" Phoebe shouted, then said, "One more Piper!"

Piper gritted her teeth and pushed as hard as she could. As she did, a bundle of orbs was released and caught by Phoebe. The swirling mass of orbs shone brightly, then quickly faded. In Phoebe's arms she opened the child's airway and then an ear piercing cry was heard.

"Here's your daughter Piper." Phoebe said as she handed the bundled newborn to her mother.

"Hi there." Piper said slightly dazed. she looked up to Leo to see his face beaming with pride. "Look what we did," she said.

"Hello my sweet baby girl." Leo said as he began to cry.

Piper started to rock the infant and said, "You are safe, and you are loved." The pink newborn with raven black hair and her daddy's blue eyes gave a tiny smile.

February 9th, 2002

"Smoosh face Halliwell, is that what you've decided on?" Paige teased as Piper laid her daughter down into the basinet.

"No Missy Paige..." Piper started to say but was interrupted by Leo.

"We were so busy with the demon vanquishing and the sister saving we didn't land on a name yet." He said with frustration.

Paige looked guilty and said, "Sorry about that."

Piper shook her head and dismissed that apology. She said, "Don't apologize Paige. You reminded me what it is to be brave, and to be brave for our daughter." Piper paused and smiled. Then she said, "Which is why I would like to give our baby the middle name of Evelynn, to honor you and your middle name."

"Really?" Paige asked with teary eyes.

Leo nodded and said, "Absolutely."

"What about the first name? Still torn between Melinda and Prudence?" Phoebe asked as the baby grabbed her finger.

Piper squeezed Leo's hand and then said, "Actually I have a name in mind. Leonora, in honor of her very brave daddy."

"Are you sure Piper?" Leo asked as he too got emotional.

"Yeah. Melinda was too tied to tradition, and Prudence...well, that's too emotionally heavy."

Phoebe picked up the infant and said, "Why don't we ask her? Le..." Then she stopped, and turned to Piper. "I think that's your job."

Piper took her daughter and rocked her. Then she said sweetly, "Leonora Evelynn Halliwell, Nora, is that your name?"

June 20th, 2004

"Coop! It's time!" Phoebe yelled as she looked at the puddle of water below her knees.

In a flash of pink light, Cooper Heart, the angelic cupid appeared.

"Ok Phoebe, take my hand." He said as he extended his hand to his fiancé.

Phoebe reached for Coop then stopped. "What about my sisters? I need my sisters!"

Coop smiled and said, "I'll call for Paige as soon as we get to Ava. She's known how important it is for them to be there."

Phoebe nodded and grabbed his hand. The two faded away in the familiar pink glow.

After eighteen hours of hard labor, Phoebe gave birth to her long desired baby girl. Out in the yard there was Piper, Paige, Leo, and Victor sitting and talking.

"What do you think the baby's powers will be?" Paige asked Leo

"Well, from what The Elders said, she will be equally powerful to Nora. Another Twice Blessed Child born on a holy day." Leo answered.

Paige laughed and said, "We've already seen Phoebe accidentally teleport around the house, and her empathy has been in overdrive."

Piper shook her head and said, "I still can't believe our children, and your future child Paige have this huge destiny."

Paige frowned and said, "It's not ideal but I'm happy they'll have each other. Just like we do."

"Well said Paige" Leo agreed.

When Coop came out he was smiling from ear to ear. They all stood up and started asking questions.

"Phoebe's doing just fine. She's exhausted though. Ava said Piper and Paige can see her. Everyone else can see her after." Coop said, he too tired.

Leo nodded and said, "Go, give her our love."

Victor smiled, "We'll see my newest granddaughter soon enough."

The sisters walked into Ava's trailer and headed in to see Phoebe and her newborn.

Piper brushed her hand over Phoebe's head and said, "Hi baby girl. How're you doing?"

Phoebe smiled and said, "Well, tired but very happy."

Paige looked around and said, "So where is the little nugget?"

"Right here." Ava said as she walked in and handed the baby to Phoebe.

Phoebe took the baby and said, "Aunt Piper and Aunt Paige, I'd like to introduce you to the newest addition to our family." She paused as the pink newborn with chestnut hair and big brown eyes squirmed. When Phoebe got the baby to calm down she said, "Say hello to Catherine Prudence Halliwell."

December 21, 2006

"Where the hell is Henry?" Paige shouted from Ava's hospital bed.

Ava tried to calm her down by saying, "I talked to him. He's finishing with his parolee then he'll call for Leo to orb to him. Your sisters are at the manor with the children."

Paige took a deep breath and said, "Ok, ok, I can do this."

Back at the manor it was a full house. Piper was there with her husband and whitelighter, Leo, along with their daughter, Nora, and the newest little one, Victor Wyatt Halliwell. Victor was a surprise to them all. Not only his sex, but also his power. Victor already demonstrated the rare power of cryogenesis, and of course orbing.

There was also Phoebe, her now husband Coop and their daughter Catherine, or Cat as they all called her. Victor, Piper and Phoebe's father was there as well tending to the children.

"I still can't believe how Grams acted with Vic's wiccaning last week." Piper said irritably.

Phoebe snickered and said, "Well, you certainly told her off. I'm surprised she was that upset over his name. I thought it would have been the fact that he's a boy that got to her."

Victor looked up from the floor where we was playing with his grandchildren and said, "I'm not. The woman loathes me."

"Yeah, and she needs to get over it. Both the fact that we named him after dad, and the fact that there's a boy in the family."

"Well, I think she's taken her hurt over the loss of her brother into a hate of men." Leo said as he bounced Victor in his arms. "Remember, male witches aren't unheard of in the Warren line, they're just not as likely as girls." The baby boy became fussy and Leo picked up the pace. "At least she admitted she was wrong and performed the wiccaning.

"Sure but..." Piper started to say when her phone rang. She excused herself and answered it. Piper quickly hung up and turned to her family. She said with a little panic, "That was Ava. Henry is with Paige now and she is nearing the end of her labor. Ok people, let's get going."

Leo turned to Coop and asked, "Are you sure you and Victor don't mind watching the children?"

Coop laughed and said, "Do I mind watching my daughter, niece and nephew? No, not at all. Right Victor?"

Victor nodded and said, "Right. Go, give Paige our best. And tell her I look forward to meeting my newest grandbaby soon."

"Thank you Dad." Phoebe said with a grateful smile.

Leo held Piper and Phoebe's hand and they orbed away.

Back at Ava's trailer, Paige was nearing the end of her labor.

"Ok Paige, you need to give one big push. Your baby is on the way." Ava said from her position ready to catch the child after birth.

Paige groaned and said, "I swear, if this doesn't work I'm orbing this kid out!"

"Paige! You can't do that...can you?" Henry asked in shock.

Paige snorted then said, "Watch me!"

"Now Paige!" Ava called out.

With a loud scream Paige pushed all she could. After a moment the baby was born, just like their oldest cousin is a swaddle of orbs. Soon the cry of a healthy baby was heard all throughout the trailer.

- 30 minutes later-

Ava guided Piper and Phoebe into the recovery room where Henry and Paige were with their child.

"Missy Paige, how're you doing?" Piper asked gently.

"I'm doing just fine Piper." Paige said a little tired.

"Would you like to meet your new niece?" Henry asked with a proud smile.

Phoebe pushed past Piper and said, "Absolutely."

Paige shifted in the bed and made sure her sisters could see the child in front of them. The baby was wrapped in a yellow blanked only showing her milky white skinned face, large amber eyes like her father, and to everyone's surprise a mess of fiery red hair.

"Woah! That hair!" Phoebe exclaimed without thinking.

Paige laughed and said, "Ladies, meet Matilda Penelope Halliwell"

"Halliwell?" Piper said with surprise.

"Yes, Halliwell. We wanted to keep it a surprise. For this little one we want to make sure the magical world knows her legacy and her power." Paige said with teary eyes. "I'm updating my name as well to Matthews-Halliwell for the same reason."

Henry cleared his throat and said, "Paige and I discussed it and with neither of them taking my name, we decided to use my foster mother's name, Matilda"

"Henry that's beautiful." Piper said softly.

The Heavens

"It's done. The Blessed Ones have been born." Callum said to the small group of Elders.

After the attack of the Titans, only a handful of Elders remained. Thankfully for them, Leo and The Charmed Ones were able to keep them safe. Despite Leo refusing the calling to join them, he remained the senior whitelighter among their ranks. Callum understood why he made that decision. Long ago he too loved a witch.

"So, what does that mean?" Lana, a young and beautiful Elder asked.

"It means that the Angels of Destiny kept their word. We have three powerful witches, each with angelic blood. The first, born on the Spring Equinox represents a new day. Nora Halliwell will usher in a new generation of magic, not just for the Halliwells, but also for the world. The second, born on the Summer Solstice will shine like the son. Catherine Halliwell will strike down evil in the name of love, drawing on her cupid and witch heritage. Finally, today, the Winter Solstice welcomed Matilda Halliwell. She is the winter's fire and will guide the future of good magic." Callum said with unquestionable authority.

Another Elder asked, "What of the boy?"

Callum smiled and said, "He, like any other Halliwells to come will be good witches who may draw upon their mixed heritage. Some may have the calling to be whitelighters or cupids. Only time will tell what their destiny is."
