Togetherness is all I'm after
Inuyasha stopped pacing when his brother walked calmly to him. He said nothing, spared him no glance, and stood just there looking far off as if something more interesting caught his eye.
"I ain't leaving," Inuyasha said,
Sesshomaru still said nothing.
"I won't let you brainwash her!"
Sesshomaru finally spared him a glance. "She is very capable of making up her own mind, Inuyasha,"
"Yeah, but her mind ain't totally hers!"
Sesshomaru looked away again. "Unlike you, she is sane with her beast,"
"Tsk,"
The wind blew harshly,
"My devotion is to her," Sesshomaru looked at him. "If she so chooses to be devoted to me, it will be of her own free will,"
"She doesn't understand Sesshomaru!"
"You have very little faith in her,"
"I have very little faith in you!"
"I seek only togetherness with her,"
"Because she is magically Inu,"
Sesshomaru looked away. "And yet, if tomorrow she is not, I would still seek it,"
Inuyasha's mouth dropped open, and Sesshomaru looked at him. "You claim you are here to defend her, yet I know you seek something more,"
Inuyasha's ears went down,
"Just as my devotion is to her, yours is to the other, is it not,"
Inuyasha eyes darted away,
"You need something from me,"
Inuyasha growled; he hated that Sesshomaru was always one step ahead.
"Kagome will make up her own mind, Inuyasha; I told her what I want. It is up to her, not us; now tell me why you linger,"
Silence filled the space for a long while, and then Inuyasha relaxed. "Kikyo can become a demon, too."
Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow. "What good would that do when you are half-demon,"
Inuyasha looked at him. "I need your blood, too,"
That was a big ask,
"And what of your mind, Inuyasha?"
"I have to become human first,"
"And just how do you plan on doing that?"
This was crazy.
"I was going to ask Kagome."
Sesshomaru sighed inside his head. This plan was stupid and dangerous, and who knew if it could work?
He looked away again, ready to return to Kagome. "If you wish to stay, then you will need to act civilized, Inuyasha,"
"What do you think Kagome will say,"
Sesshoamru turned, ready to go back. "I will not speak for her; she has her own will and her own mind,"
Sesshomaru then walked away, leaving the decision up to Inuyaha.
Inuyasha chose to stay.
Sesshomaru was standing tall and proud next to Kagome when Inuyasha and Kikyo returned.
"We are all together again," Kagome said; he had told her everything, after all that his mates were supposed to do, even though they were not yet mated.
"Hn," He grumbled, and she looked up at him. "Are you sulking?"
"When I said togetherness, this is not what I meant," His gold eyes bore into hers, and she blushed, knowing just what he was thinking.
Sesshomaru growled low. It was a pleasing sound that made her want to move closer to him, and so she did. She ran her cheek across his, and it shocked him.
"Sesshomaru," She said shyly, and he could hold back no longer; his mouth claimed hers. His lips moved softly against her own, his tongue dancing and dominating till he had to let go for her to breathe. "Will you help them?" He asked, trying to cool his blood down.
"Well, what's better than two Inus?"
"Three, four, five -" He ran his hand down over her belly as to suggest children, which he would indeed give her as soon as she let him.
"Now that's not what I meant, and you know it,"
"Are you rejecting me?"
She got quiet and blinked at him; though he was kidding, she took it on a serious note. "No," She stated simply,
"No?" His teasing went out the window. Did this mean what he thought it meant?
"Im not, I won't, I mean-"
"Kagome,"
"Yes, please,"
His mouth found hers. The togetherness with the others would have to wait.
