Summary
Kiera finds out that X.O.S killed her parents and plan to get her fortune
Chapter 7
-Kiera Carson-
Somewhere, during the middle of the day I must have fainted or passed out because I couldn't remember anything. They must have seen that it would be worthless to torture me while I'm asleep, so I guess that might explain why I'm locked in a pitch-black room tied to a chair unable to move. I tried to get my eyes to focus on the area around me, but of course I had no such luck - no such luck, that is until all of the sudden a TV that was right in front of me popped on to a news channel.
I immediately turned my attention to the story, wishing I hadn't because of what it said. The news reporter was standing in front of an airplane, an airplane that happened to be a Carson Jet -my parents' private jet. Please don't tell me that they killed them too. Shit that would mean that they would make me give over my entire fortune, no wait they can't get it until I turn 18 and plus it's not like they are my guardians. But still, my parents are...
My thoughts were interrupted when I heard the reporter finish for me. "The Carson's are dead after being killed in their jet by, now confirmed, the murderous group called EXODUS. The Carson's were found with large gashes in their necks and blood all over the place. And now the biggest question is who will get the fortune? Well both Carson twins, Aiden and Kiera, are still a year too young to receive it. Aiden has left the city and Kiera has recently been adopted by the entrepreneur Adam Lazarra. Adam says that he already has other orphans living over at his house and wouldn't mind taking her in. Therefore, many believe that he would get the fortune. We'll keep you posted as this story develops. Keep watching channel 7 news. And now here's the weather."
Then after that, it suddenly shut off. "Like what you see?" a voice questioned. I recognized it as Jax.
"You mother fuckers killed my parents?! What is your problem? You aren't going to get any of my money..."
He quickly put a hand over my mouth and said, "I'd shut up if I were you. Because, as if you didn't know, we have the money. Your parents and brother are dead and you are all alone. Hell, even the people in Huntington were stupid enough to believe that Adam was in charge of an orphanage. This has got to be the easiest kidnapping ever!"
I couldn't take it anymore. So you know what I did? I bit him. He quickly pulled his hand back and then decided to get me for it - he punched me near my lip, making it bleed pretty bad. Even in the dark, I could see his eyes turn red at the sight of blood. But then, it went away as he untied me from the chair and dragged me out of the room to where I could hear the others talking.
He threw me down into Punk's freaking lap. And instantly he wrapped an arm around me to make sure that I wouldn't leave, not that I could because of last night.
By now everyone was smirking over at me, I guess they must have heard my outburst with Jax. "Did you enjoy the news, Kiera?" asked Drogo. I didn't even answer at first, but then I figured what's the point of being alive living like this. If they beat me to death, fine!
"I swear that I am going to kill all of you sick fucks! How could you do that?"
I was really close to tears at the thought of my family being all gone handing me over to these freaks. Punk's grip tightened on me making bruises on contact. "That will happen when pigs fly, babe," Morrison said across the table laughing.
Suddenly, Punk stood up, making me do it with him. I couldn't stand up and kept trying to sit down because of my cuts, but he just forcefully held me up. "Well everyone. I think that we should properly thank Kiera for giving us her $2 billion inheritance. How about we go out and get some beer and then have a little party?"
Everyone cheered and this gave me the feeling that I would not have fun at this party. Punk pulled me back to the living room and put me down in the chair that he did when I first got here and told me not to dare think about moving and that they'd be back in an hour - not like I really could move, dumbass.
They left me constricted in an uncomfortable chair, again in the dark alone. When about thirty minutes flew by and I was done attempting to figure out exactly where this place was I fell asleep - which apparently was a big mistake...
