My Pov

Morning came and I headed to the Viridian Gym. Abbie decided to stay at the Pokémon Center a little longer, but asked if I could come back. I promised I would and went on to the Gym. I as I got closer, I noticed three people in front of the Gym. As I got closer, I saw it was Ash, Brock and Misty. I noticed Misty's had a hold of Ash's jacket and was shaking him.

"Listen, you. If anything happens to Togepi, I'll never forgive you!" Misty yelled. That's right, Misty had Togepi now. Wait, were they at Cinnabar Island when I was?

"Hi guys!" I said. They all stopped what they were doing and looked at me. Misty angry expression changed to a happy one.

"Winnie! How are you?" she asked, hugging me.

"How've you been Winnie?" Brock asked.

"Fine." I said. Pikachu and Lovie both nuzzled and jumped around each other.

"What are you doing here Winnie?" Ash asked.

"Going to earn a Earth Badge, obviously." I said.

"Well, the guards at the gate say only one Trainer at a time, so you may have to wait a while. They left a while ago though." Brock said.

"Yeah. Gary went in a while ago." Misty said. At the mention of Gary's name, Ash got angry.

"Gary thinks he's so great..." Ash growled. I kind of understood. Gary came off as a cocky jerk when I met. His attitude wouldn't start changing until Sinnoh. Misty let go of me and then went back to yelling at Ash. That's when a small little call came from somewhere.

"Toge, Togepiiii~" All of us looked around and then we looked at the doors. "Toge toge priii!"

"It's Togepi!" Misty exclaimed. We went to the doors and pulled them open. On the other side was Misty's Togepi. Misty picked Togepi up, relieved that it was okay. Then, we looked inside the Gym. Gary and his cheerleaders were lying unconscious on the ground. Ash and I ran to help Gary while Brock ran to help the girls.

"Gary, are you all right?" I asked. He opened his eyes and saw us.

"Gary, what happened?" Ash asked.

"A Pokémon... so powerful..." Gary said. I thought for a minute and remembered the Pokémon Gary fought was Mewtwo. Did that mean the events of the movie were going to happen soon? That's when the wailing of Gary's cheerleaders interrupted my thoughts. I had to cover my ears because it was so annoying. Even Lovie was covering her ears.

"Why are you making such a big deal about one lost battle?!" Misty asked. The girls stopped crying and looked to Misty. "If I cried like that every time Ash lost, I'd be waterlogged." Ash keeled over hearing that.

"She's just joking..." Ash said, clearly embarrassed but trying not to show it. I looked at Gary and he seemed to be out of it. This must be the first real loss for him. He didn't even seem upset when Lovie beat his Wartortle. That's when Jessie's laugh echoed throughout the Gym as the light flickered on. They started doing their intro when Ash, Brock and Misty interrupted them. Jessie argued why they interrupted with Misty saying their intro was never different.

"Ah, but this time, things are quite different." Jessie said.

"Something happened that's going to make you very jealous." James piped up. I sighed, wanting to get this excuse of a Gym Battle over with.

"Your boss make the mistake of leaving you guys in charge of this Gym?" I asked. They all flopped to the ground when I said that.

"This Gym's controlled by Team Rocket?" Ash asked.

"Yeah." I said. I then turned toward Team Rocket. "Let's hurry up with this Gym Battle. I don't have all day to play around."

"Listen twerp! We're the Gym Leaders here and we can decline challengers if we want!" Jessie huffed.

"What? Scared I'll wipe the floor with you like I did with your boss? Twice?" I asked, adding a mocking tone to my voice.

"What did you just say?!" James asked, clearly pissed at what I said.

"You heard me. I've beaten your boss twice, so you guys would be quick work." I said.

"If it's a battle you want little twerp, I'll give you one!" Jessie said.

"Fine. If I win both Ash and I get an Earth Badge." I said.

"That's fine since you'll lose anyway. When you do, the Pokémon you use will be forfeited to Team Rocket!" Jessie said.

"Don't do it, Winnie!" Misty cried.

"They'll do something to cheat!" Brock said. I smiled at them and gave them a thumbs up.

"I'll be fine." I said. I took Lovie off my shoulder and handed her to Brock. "Watch her for me?" Brock nodded and took her. That's when two Trainer boxes rose from the ground. I climbed up the ladder, slightly nervous due to the height.

"Machamp, go!" Jessie said. I pointed my Pokédex at it.

"Machamp, the Superpower Pokémon and the evolved form of Machoke. Using its heavy muscles, it throws powerful punches that can send the victim clear over the horizon." the Pokédex said. A Fighting-type. Out of the three I was going to use, I decided on-

"Fireball, you're up!" I said, throwing Fireball's PokéBall. I opened and revealed my Flareon.

"Flare!" Fireball cried.

"Machamp, Karate Chop!" Jessie ordered. Machamp ran forward.

"Fireball, start with Double Team and then go into Leer!" I said. Multiple copies of Fireball began circling around Machamp. Their eyes then began to glow orange. This unnerved Machamp, as it stepped back a little. "Now, Smog!" The copies drew back together as Fireball released a cloud of smoke from his mouth, covering Machamp.

"Huh?!" Jessie asked.

"Flamethrower!" I said. A spout of fire shot from Fireball's mouth and hit the smog cloud, causing it to exploded. Machamp appeared to be fine, but it then collapsed to the ground. That's when I heard electricity and Jessie screaming. I saw her getting zapped by the trap set on the stage. After the shocks stopped, Jessie started yelling at James.

"James, why is the voltage set on BOTH sides?!" she screeched.

"I didn't think it'd matter. I never thought there'd be a chance we'd lose." James said. Jessie scoffed before throwing another PokéBall. It opened to reveal a Kingler. I pointed my Pokédex at it.

"Kingler, the Pincer Pokémon and the evolved form of Krabby. Said to be capable of prying open Shellder and Cloyster shells using its 10,000-horsepower pincer." the Pokédex said. Easy.

"Sparks, your turn!" I said, throwing Sparks' PokéBall. It opened and revealed my Jolteon.

"Jolt!" Sparks cried.

"Kingler, Bubble attack!" Jessie ordered. Kingler shot a stream of bubbles toward Sparks.

"Sparks, Agility!" I said. Sparks began zipping to different parts of the field, completely dodging Kingler's attacks.

"Crabhammer, now!" Jessie ordered. Kingler tried slamming its claw on Sparks, but he was too fast.

"Thunderbolt!" I said. Sparks then appeared right in front of Kingler. Electricity flew from Sparks' body and hit Kingler dead on, knocking it out. Jessie was once again hit with electricity. That's when she got an almost murderous glare in her eye.

"That's it! Rhydon, attack!" Jessie ordered, throwing the last PokéBall. It opened and revealed a Rhydon that proceeded to charge.

"Sparks, back!" I said. Sparks jumped back to where Fireball was. "Tide, use Haze to confuse Rhydon!" I said, throwing Tide's PokéBall. It opened and revealed my Vaporeon.

"Por! Vapor!" Tide exclaimed, releasing a cloak of black mist from his mouth. The bottom part of the field became covered in black mist, hiding Tide from sight. Rhydon stopped and looked around.

"Hydro Pump!" I said. Tide leapt from cover and hit Rhydon dead on with a power geyser of water. Rhydon fell to the ground, knocked out. Jessie got shocked once again. "Guess that's game, set and match."

"That's it! No more playing by the rules! All Pokémon, attack at once!" Jessie commanded. Both she and James sent out their Arbok and Weezing.

"You can't use new Pokémon! It's against the rules!" Misty objected.

"I make this rules in this Gym." Jessie said.

"In that case..." I said, looking to Ash. He seemed to get my hint.

"Go Pikachu!" Ash said.

"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed.

"Lovie!" I said. She jumped out of Brock's arms and joined Pikachu.

"Vui!" she exclaimed.

"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" Ash said.

"Lovie, Mimic and use Thunderbolt too!" I said. Together, Lovie and Pikachu zapped only Arbok and Weezing, knocking them both out.

"We did it!" Ash and I exclaimed. I climbed down and high-fived him. Pikachu jumped into Ash arms while all four of my Pokémon ran to me. I petted each of them and thanked them for their help.

"All right Team Rocket. Winnie beat you, so you need to give both of us an Earth Badge." Ash said.

"Well, neither of you are getting one, so neh!" Jessie mocked, sticking her tongue out.

"That's cheating!" Ash said. I glared at Team Rocket before noticing Togepi. I saw it was toying with Meowth's remote control. Meowth also noticed and yelled at Togepi. However, the little baby ignored him and pressed both buttons. The blew up both Trainer boxes, sending Team Rocket flying. Before they disappeared, two Earth Badges fell from Jessie's hand. Ash and I both caught them.

"Yes! We both finally got the Earth Badge!" Ash exclaimed. I marveled at mine. The last badge I needed to qualify for the Pokémon League. The building started to rumble and debris began to rain down. We all quickly ran out of the Gym as it collapsed. Gary and his cheerleaders left while Ash and I talked.

"Winnie!" a voice yelled. I looked up to see Abbie running toward me, carrying Zinnia.

"Abbie?!" I asked.

"I saw smoke and... I thought something happened to you..." Abbie said, struggling not to cry. I hugged her and rubbed her back.

"I'm fine Abbie." I said.

"Who's this, Winnie?" Brock asked. I quickly explained Abbie's situation. We all decided to head back to Pallet Town together.
