My Pov
I woke up to the sound of vacuuming. I looked to to see Mimey(a Mr. Mime that decided to stay with Mrs. Ketchum after she treated it so well)vacuuming. I yawn a little before sitting up. I shook Abbie awake.
"Come on Abbie. Time to get up." I said. She blinked her eyes a few times before sitting up. We both got up and got dressed. I helped Abbie with her hair and helping her put on her clothes. Mrs. Ketchum bought Abbie a frilly pink dress(the Pink Frilly Dress from XY) and new shoes. We went downstairs and sat at the table to eat breakfast that Brock prepared. He even made Pokémon food for Lovie and Zinnia. After a little while more, Ash came downstairs, complaining Mr. Mime had used the vacuum on his face.
"Well, today we need to visit Professor Oak to find out information about the Pokémon League." Brock said.
"Oh right!" Ash said. After everyone finished eating, we headed to Professor Oak's lab. I got a hit of nostalgia as we made our way up the stairs. It had been a year, but it didn't feel like it. Of course, like Ash, I probably won't be aging at all either. Ash rang the doorbell and voice came from the other side.
"Come in." It was Professor Oak. Ash opened the door and we all went inside.
"Professor Oak. It's me, Ash. Winnie's with me too." Ash called.
"Oh! What a surprise. It's great to see - a Togepi!" Professor Oak said. Ash did an anime-fall.
"Glad you like it." Ash said. Professor Oak lead us to a living room area.
"It just so happens you two aren't the only Pokémon Trainers to stop by today." Professor Oak said. Sure enough, Gary was there too.
"Glad to see Winnie made back, but I'm surprise to see Ashey-boy showed up at all." Gary said.
"Hey!" Ash exclaimed.
"All right. Calm down, you two. Why can't two of Pallet Town's three top Trainers get along?" Professor Oak asked.
"Top Trainers?" Ash, Gray and I all asked.
"Yes. All three of you are such fine Trainers, you'll be Pokémon Masters in no time. You even might be able to learn from one another." Professor Oak said. Ash and Gary turned their heads away from each other.
"Maybe someday in the far future..." I said. Ash's Krabby came out carrying a tray with teacups on it and my Mr. Mime came out with a tray of snacks. That's when Professor Oak spoke to me and Ash.
"Ash, Winnie. Five Trainers left Pallet Town on their Pokémon journeys, but only you two and Gary have earned the most badges and I'm very proud." he said.
"What happened to the other two?" Ash asked.
"Yeah. The Trainers who took Bulbasaur and Charmander?" I added.
"They both got off to an excellent start, but they just didn't have the skill." Professor Oak said. Did they both get overwhelmed and return back to Pallet?
"Oh. That's too bad." Ash said.
"They just wimped out." Gary said. I know for a while, I thought Corey was the Trainer who took Bulbasaur, but I guess not. So, Professor Oak relayed the information about the Pokémon League, when and where it would take place. Soon, both Ash and Gary began to argue again. Professor Oak then scanned their Pokédexes and, of course, Gary had more Pokémon than Ash.
"Winnie, may I see your Pokédex?" Professor Oak. I nodded and handed it to him. He placed it in the computer. It beeped and my Pokédex was ejected from the computer. "My goodness! Winnie, while you haven't caught as many of Pokémon as Gary, you have caught more than Ash and seen more than both of them."
"Wow! So, Winnie's right in the middle." Misty said.
"I would say even more, as according to her Pokédex, she has seen a lot of rare Pokémon, including Articuno." Professor Oak said. There were exclamations of surprise.
"Articuno, one of the Legendary Birds?" Brock said. I nodded.
"Yep. I met it in a cave on Seafoam Island and even battled it." I said.
"No way! That's amazing, Winnie!" Ash said. We all then went out to the storage room where all the PokéBalls were. Gary had two hundred, Ash had thirty-two(all Tauros basically)and I had thirty-eight. Not too impressive, but like Misty said, I was in the middle. We then went outside and saw all the Pallet Town Trainers Pokémon. I saw Abbie's eyes light up. She must love seeing all these new Pokémon.
"Winnie, can we go see all of your Pokémon?" Abbie asked.
"Sure. Professor, Abbie and I are gonna explore on our own." I said.
"That's fine. Just be careful not to disturb the Pokémon." Professor Oak said. I nodded and we headed off to a different area. We first came to a forest area where my Grass Pokémon(like my Tangela, Oddish, Bulbasaur and Bellsprout)and Bug Pokémon(like my Weedle and Venonat)were. Dot then appeared from the bushes and Primo jumped down from a tree.
"Hi Dot! Hi Primo!" I greeted.
"Parasect!" Dot greeted.
"Primeape!" Primo greeted. I knelt down and patted Dot's mushroom and stroked Primo's fur.
"This is your Parasect and Primeape?" Abbie asked.
"Yep. Had them ever since I caught them as a Mankey and Paras." I said. I thought back to that time when I caught Primo and Dot and all they've helped me achieve. Especially Primo helping me earn my Boulder Badge and Dot helping me earn my Thunder and Marsh Badges. I said good-bye to my Pokémon there and we headed to the mountain area. There were Pokémon like my Geodude, Sandshrew, Voltorb, Diglett, Zubat and Rhyhorn. However, that's when I had two Sandshrew came up to me.
"You have two?" Abbie asked.
"No. Just one." I said. That's when one of them glowed and was revealed to actually be my Ditto. "Ah. It was just my little trickster, Copy."
"Ditto!" Copy said. We then headed to the lake area. There were Pokémon like my Goldeen, Psyduck, Magikarp, Omanyte, Dratini, Slowpoke, Horsea, Seel and Squirtle. Lapi and Tad saw me and swam up to me.
"La!" Lapi called.
"Poli!" Tad called. I patted each of them.
"Hey, you two. Doing okay?" I asked. They sounded a call of assurance.
"Wow! Your Poliwrath is so cool and your Lapras is so pretty!" Abbie said.
"Yeah. I caught Tad as a Poliwag and Lapi was given to me as a gift by the President of Silph Co." I said. I thought back to all we've been through and especially how these two help me earn my Volcano Badge. We headed back to the field area. There were Pokémon like my Nidoran, Pidgey, Rattata, Farfetch'd, Chansey, Doduo, Vulpix, Ponyta and Charmander. Zippy, Primo and my Charmander, Blaze, came up to me.
"Flare!" Fireball said.
"Rai rai!" Zippy said.
"Char char!" Blaze exclaimed.
"Hey everyone!" I said, petting each of them. I looked at Zippy and Fireball and thought back to all the times they helped me. To the time I caught Zippy and met Fireball to the times they helped me earn my Cascade, Rainbow, Soul and Earth Badges respectively. I had many Pokémon to thank for getting me this far. When I turned around, Abbie was standing far back away from me. "Abbie?"
"I... I..." Abbie stammered. Lovie and Zinnia were both next to her.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"I'm scared of fire..." Abbie said. Fire? I looked at Fireball and Blaze. A thought then occurred to me.
"Abbie, did your parents and their Vileplume die in a house fire?" I asked. Abbie immediately tensed up, confirming my answer.
"Team Rocket came with Fire Pokémon. They wanted Mommy and Daddy's Vileplume. They said no. Then their Pokémon attacked..." Abbie said, eyes welling with tears. Zinnia jumped into her arms and Lovie nuzzled her face against Abbie's leg.
"Abbie..." I said. Before I could do anything else, an explosion caught us off guard. I looked to see where it was. "Abbie, stay here!" I hurried in the direction of the blast, with Lovie following close behind. By the time I got there, I only noticed Ash and the others. I asked what happened and was told that Team Rocket showed up, but they were sent flying by Ash's Tauros. At least they didn't steal anyone's Pokémon. Ash, Misty and Brock were left to repair the fence since Ash's Tauros were the ones that wrecked. Later that night, I couldn't help but feel bad for Abbie. She loves Pokémon of all types, but the trauma from her parents' deaths has left her terrified of Fire Pokémon. What could I do?
