The legend of our hero Son Goku and the many allies and friends, alongside the many enemies that they have made has ended. His story is one retold through the descendants of his friends, as well as himself, a story of epic sagas and power, a myth that will never be forgotten. But above all, his story has now given way to a new generation.
Namaikina held his hand to his mouth, as if trying to stifle a laugh as he said, "I have never before enjoyed watching Piccolo beat someone to a pulp."
Dende elbowed Namaikina as he scolded the younger Namekian, "Namaikina, enough. Show some respect. Besides, it isn't like you've done any better."
Namaikina finally shuted up at that comment, and Dende turned to Ryun as he asked, "So, how are you doing?"
Ryun gave a ginger thumbs up, even though his entire head, save for his eyes and mouth, was wrapped around in a bandage as Ryun replied, "I'm ok."
Piccolo sat down crosslegged next to Ryun, his flowing white cape and hat back on as the namekian apologized, "Sorry if I overdid it. But you were pretty good for someone pretty green."
"Pretty green?" Ryun asked whilst raising an eyebrow, his chagrin beaming out as he said, "Does that mean I can stretch like you too since I'm green!?"
Piccolo sighed, apparently not having gotten whatever Ryun's joke was.
Ryun smiled, before reaching up and began unwrapping the bandages from around his head as he said, "You know, I didn't need these things. I'm pretty fine, actually."
"No! Wait! Those bandages are there for a reason!," Dende said as he reached forward to keep Ryun from unwrapping them when Piccolo suddenly pointed out, "Dende, can't you just heal him?"
"Wha….oh, right," Dende realized, seeming to have forgotten as he held both hands out, a small green light shining out as Ryun's body became enveloped in a light green outline, before disappearing
Ryun blinked, having felt as if his body became lighter as he looked at his hands, clenching them and then unclinching them, before turning his palm and looking at the back of his hand as he said, "Huh, that ain't bad. Not bad at all. Matter of fact-"
Ryun suddenly pointed at Piccolo, a confident smile on his face as the Saiyan declared while jumping to his feet, "I think I can go another round with you!!"
"Tch, don't get your hopes up," Piccolo said, "I know you could keep fighting all day, but you should take a rest."
"Fighting? I wouldn't say I enjoy fighting, more like I enjoy friendly sparring. Whenever you say fighting, it makes me feel as if I'm fighting a foe, not a friend," Ryun replied, before smiling cheekily as he said, "Oh, hey Piccolo, do you happen to know if there's a place here on earth where I can crash a little?"
"Well, you're alwaly's welcome he-" Dende was about to say when Piccolo suddenly cut him off, and gestured in a random direction, "Go over there. You'll find something to live off of."
"Alright!!" Ryun said, before turning around to leave, when he quickly stopped and smiled at them while saying, "Thanks for the sparring match and food! I'll make sure to visit again someday!"
With that, Ryun ran off the side of the lookout, falling through the sky as he flew away in a quick rush
Dende sighed, putting his head in his hands as he said, "Piccolo, where did you lead him."
"I don't know," Piccolo said with the slightest hint of a shrug, "But living alone in the wild should help him a little."
"Piccolo, are you seriously doing that?" Dende asked, "I mean, I'm glad that you helped him a little but that doesn't mean you have to send him on a goose chase and strand him in the wild like you did with Pan and Gohan."
Namaikina turned around as he asked, "Wait, what? Piccolo did something like that with other people? I thought that was only me."
Piccolo sighed, and replied, "No, you're not the only one I've trained. But sti-"
"Piccolo," Dende suddenly said, interupting Piccolo, "Yardrats have to live off the land. Don't you think that living in the wild is something that he's already used to?"
Piccolo blinked, silently pondering Dende's point as he said, "Yeah, you've probably got a point."
Ryun soared smoothly through the air, his hands behind his head as he faced the sky, seeming to take the time alone to relax
Ryun sighed, the loose end of his scarf whipping around in the air as he said, "Huh, I wonder why I was exiled here in the first place. I would've expected them to send me to some kind of rotten planet for exile. But to be honest, this place isn't actually that bad."
The young man closed his eyes leaning his head back slightly as he felt the wind pull ever so slightly on his red spherical shaped earrings
When he suddenly heard the flapping of wings and the squawking
"Huh?" Ryun said as he turned his body upright and around towards whatever he heard, and he opened his mouth to say something when suddenly something flew right into it, as well as several other things began running into him and flapping away
Ryun sputtered and began flailing around, reaching into his mouth as he pulled out a pigeon, gagging, "Y-yuck!!"
The feathers of the bird had left a nasty taste in his mouth as he sighed, looking at the bird as he raised his eyebrow, and said, "Oi, ya might wanna watch where you're going next time buddy."
The bird chirped at him furiously, as if it was angry while flapping its wings around
Ryun raised an eyebrow as he looked at the bird peculiarly, when he suddenly heard the sound of flapping wings again, but now it sounded like thousands of wings, as well as the chirping of over hundreds of birds
Ryun turned around, to see a entire flock of birds flying straight at him, their sharp beaks pointed outward
"EEEK!!!" Ryun yelped as he tossed the pigeon away whoch gave a startled chirp as Ryun turned tail and flew away as fast as he could
"AHHHH!! THEY'RE GONNA- wait a minute," Ryun said as he stopped himself, and he turned his head around to see exactly where the birds
To his surprise, in that instant he had already went so fast that they were just little dots in the night sky
Ryun blinked before giving an embarrassed chuckle as he rubbed the back of his head, "Eh, r-right. Well, maaaaaaybe I should find some semblance of civilization."
The young Saiyan put his hands on his hips as he looked out in front of him, squinting his eyes as he put one hand above his eyes, as if he was trying to see something
"Ehhhhh……there!!" Ryun said, his eyes barely making out the shape of what seemed to the outline of a city
Ryun stretched out his limbs, yawning slightly when he suddenly crouched slightly, when the wind suddenly began to slowly spin and rotate around him
With a resounding boom, Ryun bursted forward as he rocketed through the air, whooping as he said, "Alright!! Earth city, here I come!!"
Espo sighed in relief as she looked up at the clock. It was 9:40 PM. Just twenty minutes and her shift would be over, and she could FINALLY go back home and get some sleep. Heck, school sure did beat having a full-time job on the weekends.
Espo leaned back in her chair behind the counter she worked at, crossing her arms as she looked at the rows and rows of lavish clothes that were laid out in rows in front of her.
By working at an expensive fashion store, Espo thought she would've had enough money to be able to keep her apartment AND get some nice clothes for once.
Sadly, not so much for the latter.
The young girl twirled a strand of her black hair in her finger, turning her attention back to the TV as the nightly news played.
A middle aged man with brown hair combed to the side and a suit with a shade of blue that didn't match his red tie spoke,
"Hello there, and welcome back to nightly 9:00 PM news with your host, Thomas Jerry! Back to our earlier news flash, the Great Saiyaman duo Saiya X and Saiya Z had earlier stopped a bank robbery in the downtown area. Investigators report that no one was injured, and that the suspects had already been aprehended by the two hereos by the time that the authorities got to the scene. The chief police of West City gives thumbs up and says, 'Keep the work up!"
Espo sighed, turning her head as she said underneath her breath, "Hmph, greedy hypocrite."
Espo yelped and jumped to her feet as a rattling tone sounded out behind her, and she turned around only to give a sigh of relief when she found it that it was just her phone vibrating
She picked it up, answering the call as she held it up to her hand, saying, "Hello?"
"WHAT'S UP MY SIDEKICK!!!" a voice screamed out from the other end, cuasing Espo to cover her ears and groan in annoyance as the male on the other end said, "THAT SPOT AT THAT BANK EARLIER TODAY WAS AWESOME!!"
"Gokan, keep your voice down," Espo shushed him, "I'm at work!!"
The voice on the other end gave a childish laugh as he replied, "Sorry, just a little bit excited. It's just my dad helped us out on a few clues as to why they were robbing that bank even though it was practically going bankrupt."
Espo rubbed her temple. Gokan REALLY could get on her nerves sometimes.
She and him were the famed "Great Saiya Duo, X and Z," which she had joined for reasons beyond her. It just seemed like a good idea at the time. I mean, what else was she gonna do if she was part alien? And she couldn't lie, being able to fly and strong enough to punch apart metal and fire energy blasts was pretty cool
Her uncle, some CEO for Capsule Corporation, helped her out with the last part, as did Gokan's dad.
Espo lived alone. Her dad and mom had disappeared when she was about 7, and no one found out anything about them, so her uncle and aunt took her in.
That is until Espo couldn't put up with her spoiled cousin anymore and moved out to live somewhere by herself. 16 or not, she was NOT going to deal with a stuck-up entitled little snob
Espo looked around, making sure that no customers were paying her any attention. Nope. Not a soul in sight at the minute. Pretty routine.
"What are you doing up this late anyway? Don't you still have to study for the test on monday?" Espo asked
"Just doing last minute nightly patrols. Besides, since when did a superhero have an early bedtime?"
"Explains why you alwaly's fall asleep in calculus," She leaned back in her seat as she crossed her slender legs, and said, "Alright, tell me already. Why were they robbing a bank that barely had anything in the vault?"
"Well, after a little digging, we found out that the bank was previously accused of shipping out some pretty dangerous stuff. You know, high tech weapons and stuff. I'm pretty sure there are some big organizations suppliers and they are one of them," Gokan said from the other end, "Also, I'm pretty sure that those guys had something REAL valuable, because this robbery was, as that one guy put it, planned for a while. Oh, I also pulled out the Dragon Radar and guess what I found when I did some literal digging."
Espo's eyes perked up as she sat upright in her seat, and said, "You found one of the Dragon Balls?"
"Yuppers! If dad's friend has the correct count, then that means we've got only one Dragon ball to go!"
Espo couldn't actually believe it. They were this close to getting to their goal. Then she could finally achieve her wish. What she wanted for a long time.
"Uhh, hey, Espy, ya there?"
Espo growled into the phone, "Call me Espy again and you're dead."
"Ok."
After a bit longer of talking with Gokan and simply sitting there as no more customers were in at the moment, she closed up the shop and put on her coat, making sure that the doors were locked tightly as she turned to leave, her heels shoes scruffing against the concrete floor as she sighed, rubbing her hands together
"Another day, Espo. Just another day," the girl said to herself as she began her night trek home
Gokan slipped his phone into a pouch on his blue utility belt, a blue gi on top of a black bodysuit and a white cape flowing through the wind, white goggles and blue face mask on as he dangled his booted foot over the side of a building, the wind rushing through his unruly, black hair
"Man, ain't nothing like relaxing on top of a ridiculously tall building after a day of playing superhero. Man, I wonder what Gamma would say right now," Gokan pondered to himself, before he jumped to his feet, bobbing on his heels as he said, "Oh well, no time to take too long of a rest now. Here we go!!"
Gokan jumped off the side of the building, bringing his arms into his sides as the boy dived downwards, the wind blowing fursioly behind him as his cape whipped around in the air behind him
The black asphalt of the street rapidly approached him, the air screaming in his eyes as he dived downward
However, at the last moment, the boy suddenly rolled in the air, tucking himself in before standing upright in the air again, before he switched and shot upwards, the momentum of his downward descent having sent a shockwave of force and air below him, which whipped into the asphalt as he flew upwards into the sky
Gokan took in a deep breath as he flew upwards, before stopping and hovering in the air as he looked down, surveying the bright night life of West City.
Yeah, living in the wild with his dad and mom was alright, and was quiet too. But Gokan certainly did not at all mind the nightlife and hustle bustle of the city at night
Besides, that house that they lived in was passed down from what, like three generations?
Gokan chuckled, his figure being bathed in the moonlight as he tightened his gloves, and said to himself, "Alright, West City, here comes Gokan!! The Great Saiya X is ready to go!!!"
However, right as the ridiculously dressed superhero was about to take off in a breakneck flying speed into the sky, the teen immediately stopped himself
He could sense an energy signature. A big one too
"Great, what's this now!? Another villain!?"
Gokan turned around, his eyes looking up as he saw something that chilled him
A person, no younger than himself, hovered in the air above, his figure enveloped by the moonlight of the incomplete moon. And menacing bats flew all around him
"No, wait a second, those aren't bats! Those are……pigeons?"
Ryun swatted all around him, yelping as a burst of feathers, cooing and chirping, and furious flapping was all around him
"Gack!!! Rats with wings!!" Ryun yelled as he suddenly clapped both palms together, channeling just a little bit of ki into his palms as a weak shock wave of force bursted out in each direction, pushing the pigeons away
Thankfully, this was enough to finally discourage them as they began to finally flap away
Ryun felt a vein bulge from his forehead as he waved his fist angrily, shouting after them, "Yeah!! You better run!! Next time, I'll turn you into a rotisserie!!"
The teen sighed, rubbing his forehead as he spitted out a couple feathers, before commenting to himself angrily, "Mental note. Kill pigeons on sight."
"Hey, uhh,who are you?" a voice behind Ryun said
Ryun turned his head around, blinking as he saw……….what exactly was he seeing?
A guy in a white goggles, a ridiculous blue colored suit, and a white cape. Just who the heck was this supposed to be?
Ryun tilted his head slightly, asking out of curiosity and confusion, "Uhhh, who are you supposed to be?"
The stranger immediately recoiled, replying, "Who am I!? I'm the Great Saiyaman X!!! Hero of the earth and bringer of justice!!"
Immediately the hero suddenly shaped their body into a rather ridiculous pose, his body crouching while leaning to the left, his left arm held out behind him while his right arm was curled up in front of the hero, his fingers held in a peace sign as he had his head turned towards Ryun, a winning smile on his face as he finished with a dramatic tone, "I am the keeper of peace, and enemy of choas!! Fear my light villains of darkness! The Great Saiya X-man's light glows everywhere!!"
"..."
The Great Saiyaman X blinked, before suddenly asking as he stood back upright, "What? Too dazzled by my brilliant display of justice to even say anything?"
"No. Just a bit taken aback by how weird you look in that suit," Ryun simply replied, when he held up a hand to his mouth a stifle a laugh as he tried his best to suppress from bawling in laughter, "It's just you remind me of me when I was a kid!"
"What did you mean when you were a kid?" The stranger asked, "I mean, you don't look any older than me!"
"Oh," Ryun replied, "Right."
The stranger sighed as he crossed his arms, looking at the saiyan as he asked, "Anyway, let's get down to the boring questioning part. Who are you and what're you doing here?"
"Hey, hey!" Ryun protested, his hands held up defensively as his tail unraveled from his waist, holding itself in front of him as well, "I just got attacked by a bunch of rats with wings, and I don't know where I am. Can you give me a break here?"
The ridiculously dressed stranger stood there silent, taken aback by the reaction
"I expected him to be a bit more ... .I don't know, dark and brooding? Then again, he just got attacked by pigeons. Which should also mean he isn't that strong!"
The hero sighed as he said, "Welll, you can just call me X."
"Ryun," Ryun replied, his tail moving by itself as it waved, "Nice to mee you, X."
The hero's eyebrow raised from underneath his goggles, as he titled his head in curiosity and asked while pointing at Ryun's tail, "Hey, uh, what's that?"
"Oh, this?" Ryun asked as he turned his body slightly, showing off his tail as he said, "This is my tail. A 'monkey' tail supposedly. I don't exactly know what a monkey is, but I don't have any other way to describe it."
"Ehhh," The hero said a bit unsurely as he asked, "You really aren't from around here, are ya? I mean, if you don't know what a monkey is, then you don't live here on earth, do you?"
"Oh, yeah, that's right! No, I don't come from here. I actually just came!! I'm not exactly really sure what to do here though," Ryun replied, giving a cheeky grin as he said, "Heck, I don't even know what the heck I'm doing!"
The hero blinked, before suddenly laughing as he said, "Hey, you don't really seem like a bad guy after all!"
Ryun chuckled, his grin growing even wider as he rubbed the back of his head, "Oh, well, a couple people would disagree! But anyway, what is it that you people do here on earth?"
"What do we do here?" the hero repeated, before putting a hand to his chin in thought as he pondered the thought, answering, "Well, at that age, I suppose that you would go to school or something. You know, do math and stuff as well as sports!"
"School? Sports? What's that?" Ryun asked
The superhero sighed, saying, "Yeah, you really ain't from around here. Anyway, school is kind of a place where you learn. You know, like body parts and arithmetic. And sports are like super fun activities and stuff! If you're good enough in either of those, you could go to college for them, or even a university if you are SUPER good."
"Wow, I'm gonna be honest, that sounds kind of fun! Is there a way for me to get it or something?" Ryun asked, and the hero wagged a finger in front of him, pointing at Ryun as he said, "You can get in if a parent or guardian enrolls ya."
"Oh…." Ryun replied, his tone full of disappointment
"Eh? What's with the sudden mood change?" the hero asked, in which Ryun simply shook his head
"I kind of live by myself. I'm alone, so I don't really have a guardian to enroll me," the Saiyan replied wistfully, "It's kind of a shame though. School and sports actually sounded kind of fun."
The hero blinked, a bit confused by his reaction, before he rubbed the back of his head and said, "Eh, I think I might be able to help you there though. Follow me!!"
Immediately the blue suited teen took off, bursting with speed as he tore through the sky
"Wait for me!!" Ryun yelped as he took off after the hero, flying after him as the two became white comets in the sky
Gouken sighed. The male leaned his head back on the couch, his eyes looking up at the ceiling. He often wondered how his great great grandpa was able to farm these lands, mainly because Gouken was barely able to get even a decent crop. Not to mention, but he had to replant everything when a flock of locusts came and ate everything he had.
Gouken turned his head towards a small coffee table next to the armrest, a picture of when he was still a young kid standing up
Gouken's hair was wild, and he still looked like a toddler. He was dressed up in a green sunday vest. His two grandpa's, grandpa Gohan and Goten, stood behind him, smiling as Gohan's glasses glinted in the sun, Goten's white beard making him look a lot like Santa claus.
His mom, Pan, held Gouken in her hands.
Gouken took in a deep breath, turning his head back up to the ceiling as he remembered the days when he was still 7. How much he loved his grandpa. But above all, how torn he was when both of them had passed away.
He chuckled at the fact of how both his grandpa's and his mom lived to old ages. Guess that's the perks of being part alien.
The male stood up, and walked over to the kitchen, a new resolve having taken hold of him. Just like the time he beated up that godforsakened alien when he was 20, he wasn't gonna give up on those crops. Hell, the field would have to be burned down before he gave up.
Gouken pulled out the milk gallon from the fridge, whipping out a glass cup from the cupboard as he poured himself some milk, putting the cap back on and returning it to the refrigerator
After pulling out about four ice cubes and dropping them into the cup of milk, the adult sat down on couch, bringing the rim of the cup of ice cold milk to his mouth, sipping some of the white drink as a cool sensation flowed through his body
Gouken looked over at the picture again, reaching over and picking it up as he looked at it, holding it in front of him as the adult hybrid Saiyan sipped his milk again
He couldn't remember when was the last time he had gone to visit his mothers or grandfather's graves. It was rather a long while. Gouken could imagine the flowers he left last time having become wilted and deadened by now.
He typed in a reminder on his phone to get flowers and bring in new ones tomorrow
However, as Gouken set his phone down, he felt a old sense go off in his head, sort of like a sixth sense
Gouken could sense Gokan's energy traveling towards him. Huh, he must've been coming back from playing Superhero. Gokan could hide it all he wanted, but Gouken knew that his son was playing superhero alongside Karen's and Trunks' daughter.
"Kabu," Gouken smiled to himself, saying the name. He could remember what it was like when he first met him. Shy kid with lilac colored hair combed to the side, but man did he have a brash temper. But, he was also a spitting image of both his father and his grandpa.
Gouken sipped the milk cup, when he heard a knock on the door.
"It's open," the male said as he held up the milk cup to sip from it again
However, very quickly, he realized something was wrong
Gouken hadn't noticed that a second energy signature was with Gokan, but this one was one that he hadn't felt before. Who was this one?
The door creaked open as Gokan walked in, wearing a flannel button up shirt and black t-shirt underneath, as well as blue jeans and sneakers
Gokan had a nervous smile as he said, "Uh, Dad, I kind of brought a guest."
Gouken raised a eyebrow at Gokan, "Gokan, did you bring home another deer?"
"What!? No I didn't!! J-just please, this guy is, uhh, new," Gokan said with a nervous smile, before turning to the door, waving for whoever was there to come out as he said, "Come on man. No need to be shy."
Gokan sighed as he lifted up his cup of milk to take a sip, when suddenly a boy, just about Gokan's age, walked in, wearing clothes that didn't match any type of fashion trend that he had seen on the internet
And then Gouken spitted out his milk when the tail waved at him
Ryun blinked, taken aback as to where white liquid just went flying from the guy's mouth. Was that how they greeted each other here? No, that couldn't be it because X, or rather Gokan, just said hello and whatnot. Maybe it's only with adults?
Ryun spitted out at the adult, but kind of missed as his spittle pittered on the ground in front of his slipper
The Saiyan gave a nervous chuckle, his tail reaching up from behind him and rubbing the back of his head as he said, "Ehe, uh, sorry about that."
"Aherm, uh, no, you're alright. I should be the one apologizing for that," the adult said as he stood up, having a good entire foot of height over both Gokan and Ryun, who was only 5'7 and 5'6
"Uhhh, you are?" The adult asked, and Gokan gave a chuckle as he stepped in front of Ryun, answering for him, "He's Ryun. As you can see, he's kind of an alien."
"Oh, really?" the adult replied, "I thought he was one of those people on the internet. Uhh, I think they were called furries?"
"No, that's not him. Anyway, he's not from around here. Aaaaaaand, well, he is sorta in a living crisis," Gokan said with an innocent looking smile, "You see, he sorta wants to live on this planet of ours, but he doesn't have anywhere to sleep or someone to enroll him into school!"
"Gokan, listen, I don't know if we ca-" Gouken began when a voice behind them asked, "Oh, really now dear? You're going to turn down a helpless boy?"
Gouken turned around, his eyes perking up as a woman had walked out, dressed in a nightgown and white hair, her brown eyes gazing gently onto Gouken as she held a hand to her chest, saying, "I mean, look at him! Just thinking of it makes me shiver. All alone and sleeping under the trees in the middle of nowhere, the rain falling down on his unsheltered body, no education, no person to care for him. That's truly a tragedy, and we can't just simply leave the child."
The woman walked towards Ryun, a weloming and warm smile beaming at him as she looked down at him, asking, "Hello dear, sorry for my husband's hesitance. You can stay as long as you need to. I'm Karen, and my husband is Gouken. We hope you'll like it here."
Ryun blinked, a bit taken aback by how easily he was allowed to stay as he shrunk back a little
Meanwhile, Gouken sighed behind Karen as Gokan simply said to himself, "Maybe next time, I should ask mom for stuff instead of dad."
Karen smiled at Ryun, before looking behind him as a slight of movement caught her eye
Ryun's black fur tail waved estactically back at her
Karen blinked, before looking at Ryun as she asked, "You did say you weren't from earth, right?"
"Y-yeah," Ryun said shyly, "I-I'm from a different world."
Karen nodded, before turning to Gokan, who snapped to attention as she said, "Gokan, you have some clothes for your friend, right?"
"Yeah, I should. He looks around my size," Gokan said as he began to walk out, saying, "I'll go see what I have."
"Thank you honey," she said, and then turned back to Ryun who immediately tensed up. The woman smiled at him, and asked, "What's your name? I didn't quite catch it earlier."
"I-it's, uhh," Ryun hesitated, as if a bit reluctant to give her his name.
Ryun looked up at her, when he finally said in a slightly hurried tone, "It's Ryun."
Karen smiled at him, as she said while delicately patting his head, "Ryun. It certainly sounds like a rather nice name."
Gokan yawned, groaning as he stretched his arms above his head
The boy pulled his sheets off him as he swung his legs over the edge of the bed, the morning sun rays filtering through the window into his room
Gokan rubbed his head as he sighed, his eyes closing involuntarily as he could feel his eyelids grow heavier from drowsiness.
Gokan's eyes snapped back open, trying his best to fight from falling asleep while sitting. He wasn't gonna get to school late, not again anyway.
However, Gokan definitely felt more awakeas he jumped up, yelping in fright as Ryun suddenly snapped in existence right in front of him, appearing out of thin air as the Saiyan smiled, saying as he held up his hand in a salute
"Yo!" Ryun greeted, only to be hit in the face by a thrown slipper
"What the heck man!? That scared the hell out of me!" Gokan cursed, before suddenly clapping his hands over his mouth, his eyes filling with fear as he waited for something to happen.
However, when nothing did, he was filled with relief as he uncovered his mouth, and Ryun asked, "Uh, what were you doing?"
"Just don't bother," Gokan simply replied as he stood up from the side of his bed, and said while yawning as he gestured to a drawer from his dresser, "I left aside a set of clothes for you. They look like they'll fit you."
"Oh, really? Thanks!" Ryun said as he rushed over to the drawer, opening as he couldn't stop the thoughts that raced through his head, "I do wonder what kind of clothes that people wear to school here. I mean, it's bound to be pretty cool, right!?"
Ryun pulled out what Gokan described as a pair of jeans, a white t-shirt, and a dark blue button-up shirt
Ryun left the room, going to the bathroom as he changed, looking at himself in the mirror as he titled his head, scratching his head as he surveyed himself in the room.
The clothes showed off his muscles, something that his Yardrat clothes usually hid becaus eof how baggy they were compared to what Ryun wore right now. But something seemed missing.
"Oh! Right!" Ryun said as he quickly pulled out his red spherical shaped earrings, hanging them on his ears and wrapping his red scarf around his neck
Ryun looked at himself in the mirror again, before he heard groaning as Gokan walked into the bathroom, saying, "You know, you should really close the door when changing. Oh, and take off the scarf. It isn't cold."
"What?" Ryun said defensively as he held up a protective hand to his scarf, saying, "No, I'm keeping it on."
"Fine, whatever," Gokan replied, when he tilted his head to the side and looked behind Ryun, and said as he pointed at his tail, "Also, you might wanna hide that. If someone sees you with that tail, they'll get some pretty bad ideas from you."
"Oh, uh, o-okay," Ryun said unsurely, when his tail wrapped around his waist underneath his jeans, hiding itself as he pulled his shirt over to further keep it hidden, then looking at Gokan and asking, "This alright?"
Gokan put his hands on his hips, titling his head as he looked up and down Ryun, analyzing him before sighing, waving his hand tiredly, still partially asleep as he said, "Yeah, looks good to me."
Ryun smiled, his grin seeming a bit bright for someone only going to school. If anything, he seemed more like a little child on the way to a field trip then a 16 year-old teenager
Once the boys both got ready, Gokan suddenly held out a backpack to Ryun, saying, "Here, you'll be needing this. It's not exactly new, but knowing my mom, she'll most likely get you a new one as soon as possible."
Ryun nodded, taking the pack and putting it on as he grinned, holding up both hands in a double peace sign, reminding Gokan of a child as Ryun cheered, "Heh, I'm all ready!!"
"Yeah, I can see that," Gokan said in a tired tone. He really wasn't a morning person
"If he's acting like this over school, I wonder what he'll be like once he actually gets to it. Most likely bored pretty quickly," Gokan wondered, as he turned his back to Ryun, saying as he waved Ryun forward, "Come on, the school's in the city so we'll have to hurry."
"Coming!" Ryun said as he jogged after Gokan out the door, "Wait for me!! School, here I come!!"
Espo leaned back against a fence, her arms crossed in front of her as she sighed grumpily
"Where the heck is he?" Espo said to herself
The girl sighed, combing her hand through her hair as she looked around, her eyes scanning the environment around her
However, not too long after, she quickly sensed Gokan's energy, and she immediately gave a breath of relief
Gokan had a very bad habit of coming to school late, which wasn't gonna go very well for his attendance record if he ended up late again
Wait a second
Gokan's energy wasn't the only one that she was sensing. This other energy. It was pretty big. If anything, a little bigger than Gokan's
"I don't like the look of things here," Espo turned her head upwards, seeing two figures flying in the sky, her perception far more precise then that of a ordinary humans
She could tell that one of them was definitely Gokan, but the other one? She didn't recognize it at all. She didn't like this at all. No, not one bit
However, soon, before she knew it, the two figures had landed in a alley across the street, before she could see both Gokan and another boy, about slightly shorter than Gokan, walking out of the alley
Espo tilted her head slightly, scanning the boy before her.
He wasn't overly handsome, unlike a lot of the jocks at her school. Being 3 centimeters taller than Espo, she could see how his t-shirt wasn't exactly his size as she could practically see his broad chest, and the short sleeved dark blue button up he wore showed off about half of his bicep, sort of teasing what was under the sleeve
His black hair was rather unruly, as if a half-assed combing job was attempted on it, unlike Gokan's hair that was alwaly's neatly combed in a midpart. His expression was friendly, his skin fair with a slight tan color to it, as if he had been in the sun a lot.
However, what stuck out to her most was his red eyes. They were a deep red color, but they were also warm and comforting, which was complimented perfectly by the red earrings that she saw hanging off of each ear. The red scarf was certainly a nice touch too, but she didn't exactly think that was necessary. But still, she couldn't stop staring at his eyes. Those irises, something about it intrigued her. As if……..they saw something that no one else could see
The boy smiled at her, perfect white teeth gleaming at her as he said while giving a small wave, "Yo! I'm Ryun! Gokan told me about you on the way here. Uhhh, your name was….."
The boy put a hand to his chin, as if in deep thought. Espo sighed, rolling her eyes as she said, "Espo. Guess Gokan didn't tell you enough about me for you to remember my name."
"Sorry," Ryun said shyly, turning his gaze away as he said, "It's just he talked so much about you and wouldn't give me your name."
"Oh, did he?" Espo said with a sinister grin as she turned her gaze onto Gokan, who stiffened up, gulping as she added witha voice dripping with sarcasm, "How nice of him."
"I know, right!" Ryun said obliviously with a childish smile, "You sounded like a pretty nice person too!"
"Oh, uh, really?" Espo asked, taken aback by his bold claim as Ryun nodded his head, answering, "Yup. Definitely!"
Espo couldn't stop the the small tinge of red that showed up on her face, holding a hand to her face bashfully, while Gokan simply was standing there with his jaw dropping practically to the ground
"She's……did she just blush!?"
Ryun suddenly looked at Espo curiously, pointing at her face as he asked, "Hey, why is your face turning red? Is that something you guys can do here?"
Suddenly, Espo's hand shot forward, slapping Ryun as the boy was hit so hard that he ended up spinning around, before falling down on his back, stars spinning around his head as he said in a dizzied tone, "Sweet potatoeeeeeesss……."
Espo's face had turned even redder, as she fanned herself with one hand, before turning towards Gokan and said while pointing at Ryun at the same time, "Gokan! Where did you find this idiot!?"
However, Espo's eyes dripped in annoyance as Gokan looked at her with a flabbergasted expression, and she asked in an irritated tone, "What's with the stupid face?"
"Oh, well, it's just that I've never seen you blush be-" Gokan began to say when a hand slapped his face, leaving behind a red mark as Gokan yelped in pain, having fallen down on his bottom as Espo yelled at him, "If you dare tell anyone that, you are going to get more than that next time!"
"Yes ma'am," was all Gokan simply said
