Sorry that it's taking me so long to update this story. The mix of the website was having issues, which worried me for a while, and this fight giving me a hard time wasn't helping. Luckily, everything seems to be fixed.

Anyway, onto the chapter!

Lucy, along with Gray and Erza, were battling against a green-haired, bird-like demon with the power to amplify pain. Lucy refused to subjugate her spirits to that, so she used her Winter Dragon Slayer magic.

Erza equipped her Heaven's Wheel armor, Gray used his blood to create icy blades on his elbows, and Lucy cast Winter Dragon's Golem, forming animals made of snow around her. There were wolves, foxes, bears, leopards, and deer. Their claws, teeth, hooves, and antlers were made of crystal ice, which usually sparkles in the sunlight, but because of the dark, cloudy sky, the ice appeared deadlier with a spine-chilling aura.

The demon attacked, causing Lucy, Gray, and Erza to counter. Lucy's winter wolf got to the green-haired woman first, but long, sharp claws took a chunk from the snowy flank; however, the snow reformed, making the wolf whole again. The demon tsked but was brought back when a stag rammed into her.

The stag threw the demon away when she tried to rip the antlers off. The enemy back-flipped in mid-air, but Erza attacked from the side before she landed. The Fairy Queen slashed her twin blades in an X-shaped motion, sending the evil creature into a tree, which broke upon impact.

The demon stood up, a glare set in her eyes. Lucy knew they had to end this quickly, so she inhaled deeply. "Winter Dragon's ROAR!" Sparkly snow and ice shot from Lucy's mouth. The enemy dodged the attack and blocked another from Gray.

Zeref's creation grabbed Gray and used her curse, ripping an agonized scream from the Ice-Make mage. Lucy's hand was covered in icy claws, and Erza held her sword high above her head. The demon blocked the two attacks as they were about to meet their foe. Lucy's claws slammed into a shield created by a snake-faced man, and Erza's sword was caught by a young man with long, wavy, black hair, carrying a red, leather-bound book with "E.N.D." printed on it.

The green-haired demon threw Gray at Erza, sending them both to crash into the ground, and Voldemort used his hand to cast a spell at Lucy. The spell felt like a burst of air shooting out of a cannon. It slammed into Lucy's chest, blasting her into the unforgiving Earth.

Lucy wheezed when she gasped for air. She worked through the pain to breathe as blood trickled down her face. The blond-haired mage pushed herself to sit and check her teammates. Erza had already stood up, same for Gray. She looked around to see if Happy was still safe and hidden. A blue cat's tail poked out from under a bush, its fur puffed out and shaking.

Slowly, Lucy stood up. She eyed the three dark creatures standing 100 feet from her and her team. Voldemort may be human, but his appearance allowed him to fit in with Zeref's demons.

The green-haired demon glared at the two newcomers. "I didn't need your help," she said in a clipped tone.

The dark-haired man softly chuckled. "Really? Because it appeared you were losing, Kyoka." Kyoka growled in anger but didn't say anything. "Besides, all the others have returned. Your fight is the only one still going. Lord Voldemort and I decided to lend a hand in capturing these three-"

"Four," Voldemort cut the other guy off. His red eyes were glued to the trembling tail. Lucy saw Happy's tail straighten and freeze when he realized he had been caught. "That cat follows Dragneel everywhere."

"Ah, yes. We should bring the cat too, but first..." The demon looked at Lucy, Gray, and Erza, causing the three Fairy Tail mages to brace themselves. "These three are not ready to come quietly yet."

"Get ready, here they come!" Erza warned as the dark, wavy-haired demon charged and clashed with her sword. Gray had a split second to block Kyoka, causing him to be pushed back.

Lucy jumped to the side to dodge Voldemort's attack. She recognized it from the Grand Magic Games, so Lucy knew she could not let that touch her, or she would be in a world of pain.

Grunting, Lucy landed on her side roughly when she hit the ground. She shot up and thrust her hand forward, sending her golems at Voldemort.

Voldemort's face was blank as he flicked his wand, casting fire at the golems and melting them. Lucy gritted her teeth in annoyance. Her Dragon Slayer Mgaic won't be much help if the evil wizard used fire spells.

Luckily, Lucy was no longer fighting Kyoka. She could summon her spirits without worrying about their safety. Her hand reached for her keys, grabbing a gold and red key.

"Open: Gates of the Maiden and Sky Rabbit, Virgo and Lupus!" The two spirits appeared in flashes of light. The maiden greeted Lucy politely, and the rabbit grinned, ready for action.

Voldemort raised a hairless eyebrow. "Three against one seems pretty unfair, don't you think?"

Lucy narrowed her eyes. "From what I heard from Harry, you attacked children with a whole army of fully trained wizards. So, I don't want to hear about unfairness from you," she said. "Lupus, you're on offense. Virgo, you're on support."

Lupus grinned delightfully. "Alright! Let's have some fun, snake face!" The bipedal rabbit dashed forward while Virgo dug underground.

Voldemort tried to block the kick with a shield, but Lupus moved too fast. The rabbit's foot met the dark lord's gut, knocking the wind out of him and sending him back into a tree.

Virgo shot from the ground behind the tree and used her chains to bind Voldemort. The evil man snarled and struggled, but the chains were unyielding.

Lucy sighed, "Well, that was easy." Her brown eyes turned to look at her teammates. 'However, I can't help but feel it was too easy.'

The blond mage saw Gray struggling with Kyoka. The green-haired demon struck from the side, and her claws sliced through the ice mage's flank. Gray cried in pain, spittle shooting out of his mouth and eyes blown wide open.

Anxiety entered Lucy's heart. She turned fully to help her friend, but pain hit all her nerve endings. The Fairy Tail mage screamed and fell to the ground. She had never felt pain like this before. Her nerves felt like someone poured gas on them and lit a match. The pain lasted a few seconds, but Lucy thought it was ten minutes.

Lucy's breath was labored, and her body shook everywhere. She looked over to see what happened. Lupus and Virgo were gone, and Voldemort stood five feet from her. "What h-happen-happened to... my sp-spirits?" she stuttered.

Voldemort looked annoyed, but understanding dawned on him. "I used the killing curse on them. It would seem they returned to wherever they came from instead of dying. I didn't understand at first, but now I do. I can't kill something already dead," he said. "But I guess it doesn't matter. The curse appeared to cause them pain. The same pain you seem to feel."

Lucy's eyes widened. 'What? He didn't use the Cruciatus Curse?'

Voldemort grinned. "No, I did not."

Lucy was snapped out of her shock when she heard a cry from Erza. She twisted her head around, becoming dizzy for doing so, and saw the S-Class mage wrapped in thick thorns. The dark-haired demon held two fingers up and tilted his hand—a white rose-shaped energy formed and engulfed Erza, causing a powerful explosion.

"Erza!" Lucy called out in fear. She also realized Happy was caught in that attack. The blue feline soared through the air and plopped to the ground like a ragdoll. "Happy...!"

"I believe we're done here." Lucy heard Kyoka say. The green-haired demon held Gray's unconscious form as she approached her and Voldemort. Kyoka looked down at Lucy. "You didn't knock her out yet," she said accusingly.

"I was just about to," said Voldemort. "Stupefy." Lucy's world turned black as she was hit with the familiar spell.

"So, what took you guys so long?" Kyoka questioned as she threw Gray into a cell along with other members of Fairy Tail.

Mard Geer, the demon with the wavy black hair tied in a ponytail, gestured to the pile of beaten or angry bodies. "While you were fighting, the rest of us gathered the others. Voldemort was supposed to program the Portkeys to bring Fairy Tail here, but he failed. Only a handful fell into the cell." A glare was directed at the snake-faced man. It was lucky for them that one of the humans who landed where they were supposed to was Makarov.

Voldemort's bloody eyes shot a glare in return. "I can't give exact coordinates to the Portkeys if the guild is constantly moving," he hissed slowly.

"Oh, so your magic isn't as perfect as you like to think?" Mard Geer mocked, enjoying the enraged expression forming on the human. Murderous intent filled the air, but it was weak. As a means of taking a life, Voldemort's aura felt like a candle flame compared to Lord Zeref's forest fire.

"When next to your form of magic, demon, my magic has a wide variety of uses."

Mard Geer hummed in amusement. "We shall see," he said softly.

Kyoka grabbed Erza by the arm and dragged her along to a different room, ignoring the protests from the weakened members of Fairy Tail. "While you two alphas are busy flexing, I'm taking this one to my torture dungeon. Try not to kill the snake, Mard Geer. I would like to have some fun with him before his usefulness is up."

Mard Geer grinned at Kyoka's quiet words. The time for Voldemort's death drew near. Once END was by their side, Voldemort's usefulness would have dried up like the rain in a desert.

Harry became overly concerned when Erza, Lucy, Gray, and Happy's life forces vanished. It caused his feet to run faster, forcing his friends to keep up.

"Why are we going faster? Is something wrong?" Wakaba questioned, pumping air through his lungs as best he could.

"Their scents are fading," said Natsu, wanting to reach their destination faster.

{Fawkes, do you see anything?} Harry asked the phoenix, who flew ahead.

{I located where the fight happened, but no one is here,} Fakwes reported.

Harry didn't know if that should worry him more or not. But multiple, fast-moving life forces gained his attention. He focused on them, feeling a cold, steel-like force from one, soft and gentle from another, and a handful of others. 'Gajeel's group is heading the same way as us. They must have realized something was wrong too,' Harry thought.

{They are also faster than you because they have already joined me,} said Fawkes, earning a scoff from Harry.

Natsu looked over with a raised eyebrow, but Harry didn't see. "You okay?" the dragon slayer asked.

"Yeah, Gajeel and the others are already there," Harry explained as he kept running.

They ran for two more minutes, entering a frozen field with gashes covering the ground. Harry looked around, seeing no one in sight. That could mean that his guildmates escaped or were captured. He shook his head. 'There is no way they would be caught that easily,' he thought, but he noticed the lingering magic in the air.

"They were fighting three opponents," said Gajeel, sniffing around the trees and grass.

"Yeah, I recognize that demon: Mard Geer. I believe he's Tartaros' leader," said Natsu.

"This magic tells me that Voldemort was also here," said Harry, causing him to be more worried. Usually, no one survived an encounter with him.

"There is also a stronger scent," said Wendy. "They must have been their original opponent."

{In coming!} warned Fawkes, making Harry look up toward him in time to see the phoenix dodge another bird. This bird was about the same size as Fawkes but with black feathers, long fangs, rigged tail feathers, and razor-sharp claws. The wizard noticed it carrying something.

The demonic-looking bird landed on Natsu's shoulder but quickly hopped off when Natsu lit up in flames. The bird decided Harry was the safest option and perched on his shoulder instead. Fawkes screeched in dismay when this happened.

Harry rolled his eyes at his familiar and grabbed the letter from the bird's beak. Once he had it, the demon bird flew off. Ignoring the avian, Harry glued his green eyes to the folded paper held tightly in his hand. He had an educated guess that the letter came from Tartaros.

His guildmates surrounded him, waiting to learn what the letter contained. Harry knew he had to open it. It might tell him what happened to everyone else. So, the dark-haired wizard opened the folds and read the letter aloud.

If you want to see your friends again, meet us at Tartaros.

There was no name of the sender, only a warning. Tartaros was planning something big, and if they didn't get their way, Their captured guildmates would die.
