The next morning, the sun began to shine its warm golden rays as it peaked over the mountains. A large group of Terrible Terrors awoke from the rising sun's warmth, letting out yawns as they stretched their tiny frames. Once they were all awake, they took off and let out a series of roars as they flew across the islands, immediately waking the other inhabitants.

Within the ancient throne room, the screeching infiltrated Anna's ears, causing her to awaken from her slumber. The redhead stretched out her body, instantly eliminating any tension that remained in her muscles as she wiped the sleepiness from her eyes. Once she was fully awake, she climbed out of her makeshift bed and made her way to her still sleeping dragon.

"Tempest. Come on, girl. Time to wake up.", she said softly, stroking the Skrill's head.

The Strike Class dragon let out an exhausted groan as she lazily opened her eyes, her vision being greeted with her rider's soft smile.

"Good morning, girl.", Anna greeted. "Come on. We gotta meet up with the others."

The Skrill shook herself from her sleep as she stood up. The pair soon walked outside, the dragon bending low to allow the girl to get on her back before the pair flew off.

Once the teens had gathered around inside their meeting space, they soon began to discuss their plans for the day.

"Okay, so looks like we've got a busy schedule today. There are dragons to be treated for injuries, eggs to be checked, weapons to be forged, ores to be mined, produce to be gathered, fruits and vegetables to be harvested, and nearby Dragon Hunter camps to be raided.", Anna told her friends, listing their various tasks.

"Well, we'll never get all this stuff done if we just sit here. Let's get to it.", Magnus stated. The group nodded and went off to do their work.

Off the coast of the island, a small group of Dragon Riders flew out of the fog bank and began to make their way towards the island.

The group consisted of an auburn haired male with forest green eyes and a prostatic leg, riding on a Night Fury. A beautiful female warrior with blonde hair tied back in a long braid and bright blue eyes, riding a blue Deadly Nadder. Another male with short black hair wearing a Viking helmet, on the back of an orange Monstrous Nightmare. A pair of twins, a male and a female, with long blonde dreadlocks and matching helmets sitting atop the necks of a green Hideous Zippleback. And finally, a rather husky looking male with short blonde hair wearing a small helmet, sitting upon a brown Gronckle.

Their names were Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, Astrid Hofferson, Snotlout Jorgenson, Ruffnut and Tuffnut Thorston, and Fishlegs Ingerman.

The riders were currently exploring the area around their temporary home, Dragon's Edge. So when they had gotten word that there was a dense fog bank on the far corners of the ocean, they had to investigate.

To say that they were shocked by the size of the Mystery Isles was an understatement.

"Look at the size of that island.", Hiccup gasped in awe.

"This is amazing! I've never seen an island like this before! It as every environment ever documented in recorded history!", Fishlegs squealed in excitement.

"If you two are done geeking out, how about we get a closer look.", Snotlout suggested.

Taking the male's advice to heart, the riders quickly made their way to the series of islands and landed on a nearby beach. Upon touching the warm golden sand, the Vikings dismounted their dragons.

"Alright gang. Let's make camp here for the night.", Hiccup said. The riders nodded and went off to the supplies they needed.

But little did they know that in the nearby foliage, a small group of Speed Stingers was watching them. The Sharp Class dragons quietly growled before running off.

But not before one of them managed to grab something from their campsite when the riders weren't looking.

Meanwhile, on the main island, Anna and her friends were busy tending to the island's garden, where they grew a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.

Zed, Marida and Grogon pulled out any weeds that managed to sprout up. Salfry and Zelda picked the produce that was ripe and ready for harvest. Elsa, Edgar and Magnus watered the crops, and Helga and Anna planted new seeds into the soil.

Fun Fact: Dragon manure makes great fertilizer.

As they continued to work, a shriek grabbed their attention. The group turned to see a small group of Speed Stingers, who had just come back from their morning patrol.

"Chief?", Anna questioned, placing her bag of seed down before walking over to the Speed Stinger Alpha. "What is it, boy?"

The Sharp Class dragon then shrieked at one of his pack members, who soon came forward and presented the female with a small leather pouch.

The girl looked at the object curiously and opened it, revealing a small set of cards, filled to the brim with dragon information! Items like this wouldn't just show up on islands, especially ones this so far out.

Unless there was a shipwreck, that is.

But the thing is, no shipwrecks happen in these waters without them knowing about it. And even if there were, any item that would have washed ashore would be soaking wet by the time anyone had found it. These items were as dry as a beached Scauldron.

Anna's eyes widened in realization. This could only mean one thing…

Someone else was on the island…!

"Guys, we have a problem.", Anna called to the others, who quickly dropped what they were doing and made their way over.

"What's up?", Helga asked.

"Someone's here.", the leader said bluntly.

That statement made the group's eyes widen.

"How do you know?", Zed questioned.

"Some of Chief's scouts just got back from patrol and found these.", Anna stated as she presented the cards and pouch.

"These are human items.", Edgar muttered in fear, touching the pouch. "And they're dry. Not a drop of seawater on them whatsoever."

"But… But how? Dragon Hunters have never been able to find this place before. And even if they did, no hunter ships have ever gotten past Shipsbane.", Magnus stated.

"I don't know, but what I do know is that we need to find them before they have a chance to cause any damage.", Anna replied, turning her attention to the Stinger chief. "Can you show us where you found these?"

Chief shrieked in confirmation and the pack zipped off to their previous position, with the group of teens following behind.

Back with the Dragon Riders, the sun had just began making its decent from the sky as Hiccup and the others set up their temporary campsite. They had filled their canteens up with water from a nearby river, gathered dry wood for fire, and had caught some fish to roast over said fire. As the Vikings settled down for the evening, the Ingerman began to look through his belongings, only to notice that some were not there.

"Huh, that's weird.", Fishlegs muttered, scratching his head.

"What's up, Fishlegs?", Hiccup asked his husky friend.

"I was going to take out my dragon cards and review them, but I can't find my satchel anywhere."

"Don't worry, Fishlegs. We'll help you find them in the morning."

"You know, we've heard a lot of crazy stories about things in this part of the archipelago.", Tuffnut began.

"Uh-huh. flowers that smell like rotten meat, sticky black lakes, dragon-eating Vikings-", Ruffnut listed.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait. Go back to that last one.", Fishlegs requested.

"Dragon-eating Vikings.", the male twin repeated his sister. "They're Vikings that eat dragons, duh."

"Dragon-eating Vikings? Are you serious?", Astrid questioned, not believing the accusation one bit.

"Oh yeah. We're for real, sister. Our Uncle Magmar encountered a group of them on this very island, just chomping away at a Titan Wing Skrill. It was nuts."

Fishlegs gulped. "So you're telling us that we are now on an island that is home to a group of dangerous, potentially savage dragon eaters?"

"Yep.", Ruffnut said simply.

"Well, that's just great..."

"That's them?", Anna asked Chief, who hissed in response.

"Is that a... Night Fury?", Zed questioned. "I thought we rescued them all."

"Well, looks like we missed one."

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get 'em…!", Magnus growled and was about to charge in, but was stopped by hand on his shoulder.

"No! We can't take the chance of them sending a message out! If word about the location of this place got to Viggo, he'll send out every last Dragon Hunter and trapper he has, and all the dragons that live here will be in more danger than they ever were before!", Anna told him. "We wait until they all fall asleep, then we make are move."

"Would you two muttonheads just stop with all your crazy family members and the even crazier theories?! We do not have time for any of your shenanigans!", Snotlout shouted, finally fed up with the twins' antics.

"Snotlout's right, guys. Besides, it's getting late. Let's finish up our dinner and get some sleep. We've got a big day tomorrow.", Hiccup replied.

After the riders had eaten the last of their smoked fish, they put out the fire and soon fell asleep.

In the dark of night, as soon as the campfire burned out, Anna, Zed and Magnus quietly crept out of the forest and made their way towards the group, then being careful not to wake them up, the female raised her hand, signaling three Death Songs, and one by one, they spewed their amber on the Vikings and their dragons, immobilizing them before the large dragons picked them up and carried them off.

The next morning, the Dragon Riders, who had been freed from their cocoons, woke up to find themselves locked up in a makeshift cell, deep inside an underground cave, Hiccup being the last to wake up.

"What in the name of Thor?", the one-legged Viking questioned.

"Oh hey, you're awake.", Astrid responded as the young male got to his feet.

"How the heck did we get in here?"

"I don't know, Hiccup. But judging by the bars on this place, I think we might be in some sort of old Dragon Hunter base.", answered Fishlegs.

"If this is a hunter base, then how come there are no Dragon Hunters guarding our cage?", Snotlout asked.

"He has a point.", Astrid said.

"I know where we are.", said Tuffnut, gaining the group's attention.

"Me too.", added his sister.

"Oh, really? Where's that?", Snotlout challenged.

"It's so obvious. I mean, how could any of you not know?", the male twin questioned with a chuckle.

"Just tell us!", the shield maiden demanded.

"It's totally obvious.", Tuffnut repeated. "We're in..."

"THE DRAGON-EATING VIKINGS' LAIR!!!", the twins shouted, making the others groan in annoyance.

"You know what? It doesn't matter where we are right now. What does matter is us finding our dragons and getting out of here. So everyone, look for a way out.", Hiccup said.

They all looked around for an escape route until Astrid saw a purple Deadly Nadder at the far side of the cave chamber, grooming itself. But what caught her attention was that there was a small key hanging from the dragon's neck!

"I think I found one! Look!", Astrid pointed at the dragon. "That Nadder has a key hanging around her neck. And I'll bet you anything that key fits the lock to this cell."

"Good going, Astrid.", Hiccup complemented.

"Yeah, but how are we going to get it?", Fishlegs asked.

The trio then heard a hum of satisfaction, along with the sound of munching. They turned around to look upon Snotlout and the twins chowing down on a plate of chicken legs.

"Where did you guys get those?", Hiccup asked.

"Hello? They were off in the corner.", the Jorgenson answered, going for another bite.

However, Astrid swiftly snatched it from his hand. "Give me that."

"Hey!"

The shield maiden then walked back to the cage door and slid her arm through the bars.

"Hey, hey. Hey, girl, over here.", Astrid called out to the dragon as she waved the chicken leg. The Nadder looked at the female Viking, tilting its head. "Are you hungry? I got some nice, juicy chicken for ya."

Hearing the magic word, the dragon got up from her spot and walked over to the cell, licking her lips.

"Yeah, that's it. That's it, come on.", the shield maiden urged calmly. The blonde then turned to the black-haired male to her right.

"Snotlout, get ready to grab the key.", she whispered.

Once the Nadder was close enough, the Jorgenson quickly grabbed the key at the same time as the dragon had taken the chicken leg from Astrid, swallowing it whole. After eating the treat, the Nadder walked back to its spot, before curling up and falling asleep. Hiccup then carefully unlocked the cage, and once they were free, the riders quickly grabbed their weapons and crept out of the chamber, being careful not to wake the sleeping dragon.

"Okay, now we just need to find our dragons and get out of here.", Hiccup instructed.

As they entered the next chamber, their eyes widened at the sight of their beloved dragons, trapped in amber cocoons!

"Toothless!", shouted Hiccup as he ran to his Night Fury.

"Stormfly!"

"Hooky!"

"My Meatlug!"

"Barf!"

"Belch!", the other riders called out, running to their respective dragons.

"Don't worry, bud. We're gonna get you out of here.", the Berk heir assured.

He then took out his sword, which he called Inferno, lit the blade on fire, and carefully cut through the cocoon, making it break apart, setting Toothless free.

After breaking all their dragons out, the riders quickly made their way down a large tunnel, entering an enormous chamber, and saw a bright light at the top.

"There! The exit!", Hiccup shouted.

"Yeah! We're home free, baby!", Snotlout cheered.

Suddenly, Snotlout unknowingly stepped on a pressure plate, which was connected to several cables that were holding up dragon proof cages. And once the trap was sprung, the cables were released and the cages fell to the ground, trapping the group and their dragons.

"Okay. Didn't see that coming.", said the Jorgenson.

They then heard a low growl coming from the shadows. The riders quickly took a defensive stance within their cages as the dragons charged up their fire. Then several figures walked into the light, revealing ten young Vikings that were about their age, cladded in different colored armor that looked like it was made from dragon scales.

A tense silence hung over the two groups before Hiccup decided to break it.

"Are you going to eat are dragons now?", the auburn male asked. There was a pause.

"What did you say?", Magnus questioned.

"Are you going to eat our dragons now?", the Berk heir repeated.

"Because if you are, be warned: We are prepared to fight for our dragons to the last Viking.", Astrid stated with a glare.

Anna and her group was silent for a moment before she let out a small giggle.

"'Eat our dragons'.", she chuckled, turning to her friends. "Did you guys hear that?! They think we're dragon eaters!", Anna laughed as the others of her group joined in.

The Dragon Riders just stared at them like they had gone insane. Then in the blink of an eye, Anna took out her sword and slammed it hard against the bars of the cage, making the riders jump back in fright!

"Who told you that filthy lie…?", she growled, venom dripping from her voice.
