It was all ready.

.

He stood on the banister overlooking the city. Towers stood on the walls ensuring safety for those who lived inside. They could see for miles all around. And that is the way he liked it.

.

He had been viewing the two towers in the distance for some time now. For all he knew it could be another dragon stronghold.

.

From the looks of it, they were building a third one.

How dangerous to his plans.

.

But he did not fear those awful towers the dragons had set up! It did not matter if they had a place for a quick attack! He did not fear.

.

He and his people were safe in The Invincible City! They had armed it to the teeth. He made sure of it. The towers and gates where as strong as can be.

.

No dragon would ever even get close!

.

And to think that he had done all of this! He hand helped build these walls, and he did with his bear hands! His son should be ashamed!

.

On the note of that, where was he? Jackanapes looked around very carefully, his cloke dragging on the ground. He sighed. He was never around when you needed him and he was always around when you didn't.

.

His stupid son was nowhere to be found!

The unempathetic lord did not care much for his son.

.

He only thought of him as a waste of space.

Useless!

.

He deeply breathed in the cool mountain air through his beard. He calmed his mind. He had other things to think about. Not a thing he could take care of later.

.

It did not matter though in the end anyway, the plans were in place, and from what he could see they were working brilliantly according to his careful design.

.

He had spent years getting what he needed for all of this now now it was being put into play. All he needed to do now was wait.

.

As he had ordered the first company would go west to the Desert to lay siege.

.

The others would head South to the mountains. And the third would go to the Mountain. And here he would wait until it was done. He was a patient man.

He was taking the lands to the south for their bountiful supplies.

.

His war machine would soon roll, and no one would be able to stop him.

He continued to revel and sneer at his accomplishments when his train of thought was rudely interrupted by someone knocking at the door.

.

He turned back to the dimly lit room behind him, squinting into the dark. Now what? Sho could that possibly be? He had to know.

.

With a sigh, he said, "Yes, Who Is It?".

.

"It's Boar, My Lord," a gruff voice answered at the door.

He had been expecting him.

.

"Come in, And Make It Quick!" he said to Boar as he walked in.

.

He promptly turned around, grasping at a table in front at him he looked at the man straight in the eyes. He had only one question in mind at that moment he needed to ask. One that was of the utmost importance to his plans.

.

"Have you found the girl yet?" he asked hopefully.

.

"No..My Lord," Boar said.

Jackanapes huffed as he turned away again.

.

"Boar, my plan depends deeply on that Girl," he said to Boar coldly.

There was no answer from the man behind him.

.

" I need her so I can control the dragons," Jackanapes said.

Boar also knew this.

.

"If I Can Convince Her To Work With Me Our Victory Will Be Guaranteed," he said. And Boar knew this all too well. They had talked about it.

.

He then remembered why Boar had come in the first place.

.

"Anything else to report?" Jackanapes asked.

.

"No… but I do have some bad news," Boar said slowly.

What could this be?! More Disappointments?

.

"Those men who were supposed to be headed to the Mountains have been held up by bad weather," he spoke cautiously.

.

Jackanapes pounded his fist on the table. A well of ink fell the the floor staining the floorboards a shade of night black. He did not think much of it.

.

"How am I supposed to get things done when my own troops can't even handle even a little rain?!" Jackanapes yelled in anger. He had been planning for years and they where afraid to get wet?!

.

Boar stood quietly.

.

All of them were no good! Every last one of them! Jackanapes sighed deeply in dismay. He was losing his patience once again. He turned around again to show his displeasure.

.

"As soon as it clears up send them on their way!" he said.

"Yes, my Lord," Boar said with slight fear now.

.

He turned to Boar with anger in his eyes.

"You Better! Or There Will Be Hell To Pay!" he yelled.

.

He whirled around storming back to his banister.

He had steam coming out of his ears.

.

He looked out into the Armored Fields below overlooking the Mountain Ranges and the green Rainforest.

.

"What about those headed to the Desert?" he asked.

Boar this time answered more confidently seeing Jackanapes in a calmer mood.

.

"They are well on their way my Lord, they should be there by noon tomorrow," Boar said.

What good news.

.

"Excellent!" Jackanapes exclaimed.

.

A wind came in blowing the maps off his table and onto the floor. He would go pick those up as soon as they where doen talking.

.

"Anything else my Lord" Boar asked.

"No, that will be it," Jackanapes replied.

.

Quiet followed before he heard the footsteps of Boar leaving behind him.

.

"Boar," he said.

.

The sound stopped.

A moment of silence followed before Boar answered.

.

"Yes my lord?" he replied.

.

"Before you leave, be sure to tell some of my men to go down and burn down those ugly towers down by the swamps," Jackanapes said tentatively. He knew that boar would do it without question.

.

Boar did not answer.

"They are poisoning the view," he said.

.

Boar nodded and left in a hurry.

.

The heavy door closed behind and yet again he was alone in blissful peace. He thought Boar was a very reliable man but he could be better. He was sure of it.

.

If only he asked less questions. He would be more reliable in Jackanapes opinion. But it was better then someone else. Boar would get it done on time.

.

He looked to the mountains where dark clouds hung over.

He scoffed.

.

If Boar were to do as he asked those towers would be gone by tomorrow morning.

Then he would in turn have one less thing to worry about.

.

He sighed deeply as his mind wandered again to more important things.

.

He needed to find that girl and quickly.

.

All of it depended on her.

.

She would ally with him.

He was sure.

.

He Would Find Her.

.

Even if it was the last thing he did.
