Wren hated to do anything that had to do with being around other people. Or just other humans for that matter. She did not enjoy it in the least. She found it to be one of the worst things ever.

.

She just felt so unsafe around others of her kind. And that was saying something.

.

Her hate was justified in her mind. She had never had the best experiences with other people. She liked dragons better anyway. She would choose dragons over people any day.

.

But that was not a choice. Not today anyway.

.

Today she would be headed over to the " Instructable" City. Just what she wanted….more distractions. And she also knew she would probably have to deal with a certain someone. With luck she would not have to see him today.

.

Or any other day for that matter.

She sighed as she looked at the city through her handmade binoculars.

.

But all would be well. She would be in and out as soon as possible.

She would even bring one of Sky's scales for good luck.

.

" Sky?" she asked.

As usual he was infatuated with a snail on a berry bush.

" Yes?" He said not paying any attention.

.

She told him to stay put over out of sight.

Of course he was not happy.

.

He pouted about it like the Skywing he was.

" But Why?!" He whined.

.

But he still loved the big red guy. He was her big red guy.

" I want you here, I want you safe Sky." She said,

At least he was very good company.

.

She finally did get him to agree with her though he was still not happy about any of it. But she was not taking any of his Guff. He would stay there and that was that. She promised him she would arrive back by sundown.

.

She had left quickly before he had changed his mind.

Hopefully he will keep his side of the promise.

.

She sighed as she thought about these things.

She too wished this was not needed.

.

But they were running low on supplies…Again…It was mostly his fault, he had dropped most of their stuff in that canyon over by Amber pass. Over by Jade mountain.

.

He was not looking where he was going.

It was raining and the wind had been strong.

.

So now she was here, walking to those looming walls and towers. A creepy looking city to say the least. And she had to go to the heart of it to get what she needed. How awful.

.

She put on a cloak as a disguise.

.

Better hope it works.

For her sake and for Sky.

.

The walk through the gates went smoothly, all was well so far.

Let's just hope it lasts.

.

She knew the market was just around the corner. She had been there many times. Unfortunately… But at least the prices were cheap. For the most part.

.

Those apples over there were outrageous. She wasn't going to waste all her gold on a single apple.

.

She continued to walk through the market, looking around at all the different opinions. Wren was looking for a very certain thing. A saddle to be exact.

.

She still remembered last year how she went over on that weird land where everything wanted to kill you in a fell swoop. It was horrible and so terrible too. But at least she met some new friends.

.

Scaly and big friends.

.
She chuckled to herself. It would be nice to talk to Winter or Qibli again. The iconic duo themselves. She enjoyed their arguments and banters. They were fun to be around.

.

They reminded her so much of her and Sky. Though she was much less grumpy then the Icewing…Just maybe…perhaps…

.

That is probably why she enjoyed them so much.

They were so much like her and her own friend.

.
She sighed to herself.

.

The reason she wanted a saddle was for Sky. His back had been a bit sore after riding him for so long. She felt sorry and was willing to do this for her best buddy.

.

It was just for the best.

It would make her feel less guilty for riding on him all day.

.

Though she would most likely have to make a lot of adjustments to the saddle so it would even fit him. If it would fit him. With her luck she would have to make one for him herself.

.

But now that she was thinking about him, she felt sorry she left him behind. But she did trust him enough to be by himself for a couple of hours. Anyway she could take care of herself.

.

She was sixteen now. The age of responsibility!

.

Though she did act still quite childish sometimes.

.

She saw the market and headed over. She did have money but not much. They tried to recover as much of it as they could from the river. But the water washed most of it away. She would most likely have to phase to trading insead.

.

She was also hoping to stay away from that Clingy boy.

The Lord's son.
.

The market was bustling today. In a bad way too.

It was noisy and loud, it made her want to leave quicker.

.

But she did see a group of elves walking past.

That was interesting, they usually stayed in their woods and trees.

.

She brushed it off and moved on.

.

There was not much catching her eye. No nothing for her to even buy around here.

It was all stuff she did not need.

.

Great…now what?

It was not like she was going to find a " Dragon Saddle Shop" around here anytime soon.

.

Though that would be great and convenient. She would have to just keep looking around.

.

.She turned the corner to see the person she did not want to see the most. Undantable. She quickly swung back around and grabbed the wall.

.

What was he doing here?!

And why was he out here?!

.

It was like he was expecting her to be here….

That was a troubling thought.

.

And why did he have like a Million guards with him?

That was also odd.

.

She would just have to stay out of sight.

The best she could anyway….

.

She tried to slip past them with her cloak over her head. She hoped this would was going well. For the first couple of seconds. He turned around and tapped her on the shoulder. Oh heck…

.

She turned around and kept her head down.

She looked to the ground to hide her face.

.

To her surprise he did not seem to recognize her.

Instead he asked some questions.

.

" Hello I am looking for…a certain girl." He said to her,

She almost laughed because of how ironic this entire situation was.

.

He tried to describe her to Wren, he was actually really spot on.

.

He was even using flowery language to get his point across.

He called her pretty and petite.

.

It made her hate him a little less to be honest.

He was…kind of sweet….

.

A lot less clingy seeming the last time they met.

It seemed like he matured a little since last time.

.

She tried to respond in a deeper voice so he wouldn't recognize her.

" No I have not seen a girl like that…I am sorry," She said.

.

It looked like the jig worked as he sighed with discontent.

.

" Well….thank you for listening….. You may be on your way now…" He said.

She almost felt sorry for him.

.

He was very clingy but he really did seem to like her.

She turned around and was about to leave when he felt a strong arm grab hers.

.

She whipped around.

.

" Well," The guard said. " What do we have here?" He said as he grabbed the orange scale from her pocket. She forgot she even had that!

.

He flipped the hood off of her head to reveal her true form.

It was very obvious who she was now.

.

Undauntable looked stunned.

" W..Wren?" He asked cautiously.

.

She had only one thought in her head.

.

.

Run.
