It was a very peaceful night as Anya was relaxing in her room as she thought about the course of her school year and the friends that she has made during that time as this brought a smile to her face.
"Can't believe that we only have two more months of the school year left. It's crazy how many friends I've made such as Nancy, Russell, Emma, and other such good people" Anya had quietly spoken to herself as she suddenly heard a knock from the door as this prompted her to respond to it.
"C-Come in!" Anya had answered back as the door opened to reveal her mother as she entered her daughter's room with a letter in hand.
"Good Evening, You have a letter from your Cousin Catherine, When you get the chance please open it and read it, It's important" Anastasia had spoken to her daughter with a smile on her face as she handed over the letter to Anya.
"Cousin Catherine?! That's wonderful! I hope she's doing good, I know we live in the same state but It can get hard to visit but I'll open this letter asap" Anya had spoken back to her mother in a tone of curiosity and enthusiasm as she jumped up to open the letter.
"Once you're done with the letter then please come back to me and your father for a response, okay? I'll let you be for now" Anastasia had advised towards her daughter as she smiled warmly at her daughter before closing the door to allow her daughter to read the letter.
"I wonder what Cousin Catherine could want?" Anya thought to herself in sheer curiosity as she began to read the letter.
"Dear Anya, I'm currently in Kansas for spring break and I personally invite you to stay over during the course of the week. I hope to see you there. My friends will be there as well so it will be quite fun so be sure to bring plenty of clothes and any safety stuff that you'll need, Love Catherine" The letter had said as those words brought interest in Anya's eyes as she quickly ran out of her room to confirm the answer with her family.
"Mother, Father, I accept Cousin Catherine's offer. I believe it's gonna be a fun spring break so it's an offer not to decline after all" Anya had spoken to her parents with great joy as her answer was met with great enthusiasm from the couple as they began to speak.
"That's wonderful news! I'll be sure to phone Olga to let her know that you are coming so she could cover your expenses. I know that you'll have a wonderful time with Cousin Catherine" Anastasia had spoken to her daughter in a excited tone of voice as she walked over to the living room to call her sister to discuss the plans regarding Anya as Casey Newman looked at the events with a smile on his face as he began to speak to his daughter.
"Be sure to behave while you are there, okay? But more importantly just have a wonderful time thereā¦" Casey Newman had advised his daughter as he gave her a warm smile while Frederick listened to his father's words and began to speak.
"Kansas doesn't sound too bad but I don't know how you're gonna deal with those country folks and the heat" Frederick had spoken to his older sister as he played around with his dinner in the process.
"I think I'll manage and I do know that Catherine's friends from Kansas aren't city people but I heard they're still very nice people" Anya had spoken back to her brother as she heard the sound of the telephone being closed as she turned her direction to see her mother smiling at her.
"Everything is all set, You will be departing on friday so it's best to prepare right now and be sure to call us once a day as well" Anastasia had advised towards her daughter as she was met with a smile from the young girl as she began nodding her head.
"Don't worry mother, I'll be sure to pack everything that I need but Is Auntie gonna pick me up?" Anya had asked her mother in a tone of curiosity as she was met with a nod of agreement from her.
"Correct, Olga will pick you up at six in the morning and she'll guide you from there but this trip will definitely be fun for you" Anastasia had spoken to her daughter once more as she made her way to the kitchen to do the dishes.
"Wonderful! I'll pack my things and I'll be sure to tell my friends about my departure" Anya had spoken back to her mother as she excitedly ran towards her room as she closed the door behind her.
"Catherine has always been such a good cousin. She's strong willed, kind, very courageous, and quite a feminist! Just like Aunt Olga" Anya had thought to herself as she smiled warmly at her thoughts as she walked over and gently collapsed on her bed as she thought about the fun spring break that awaited her.
"I wonder what Kansas is like, I've never been to the country before so it's gonna be quite an experience for me" Anya had quietly spoken to herself in curiosity as she eventually got up from her bed so she could pack her things in sheer anticipation of her upcoming trip for next week.
