900 FAVORITES AND FOLLOWS!
Fuck yeah! And with the release of the new movie and the new game coming out, that number will likely not stop.
I saw Across the Spider-Verse, and I LOVED IT! Everything about that movie was God-tier. Given where Wade's powers come from and how his arc is basically just like Miles, I will be implementing the movies into the story.
And SPIDER-MAN 2 PS5, baby!
I love the first game, and it helped inspire me to make this story. I'm super excited about the new game, as Spider-Man ps4 is one of my all-time favorite games, and to be able to play as both Peter and Miles will be amazing. Spider-Man: Miles Morales was the one that helped me develop Wade's moves, so it'll be fascinating to see how the new game will inspire me, especially with Miles' new moves.
And, just to make it clear again, I won't give Wade a Symbiote. The way Black Whip is in MHA basically makes it like a Symbiote. Only it doesn't cover the user in a suit. However, we will see an edgier, more aggressive Spider-Man attitude will come during the Vigilante Arc.
But no dance!
It's a good year to be a Spider-Man fan! But I digress. Let's get this party started.
HEROES OF TOMORROW
Issue #28: The Hero Licensing Exam
"I just want everyone to know that I think the media is talking bulls#$%!" yelled Bonesaw, an MMA fighter known for his bone Quirk. Wade smiled at the man in the video as he continued praising his father. "My man, Daniel Walker, was a pillar of strength for many of us! Even those of us with Quirks respected the hell out of him!"
Before he and his friends knew it, the day of the exam had come. With their hero costumes in their metal suitcases, the students were driven to the location that would be their testing grounds: The Takoba National Stadium.
Along the way, Wade turned on his phone and looked at the news. To his shock, they were covering the news about Daniel's supposed disappearance as he was being taken to prison. While the League of Villains was obviously responsible, no one knew what happened to Daniel. All except for Wade and those involved in hiding him away, of course.
Reporters were allowed nowhere near the sight, and there have been speculations about whether or not Daniel is still alive. However, as the investigation went on, the media has been trying to learn more about the man once known as the Ghost. Some even tried to spin the narrative that Daniel was always a villain and that his death during the Slug Villain incident was all a setup so he could leave his son and embrace his Ghost persona fully.
Such allegations not only brought out anger from Wade. The allegations caught the attention of multiple MMA fighters that knew the man, including old rivals. Each of them stepped up to defend the father, whom they had nothing but respect for.
"To call Daniel a villain from the beginning is bogus," said Slicer. Seeing him came as a shock for Wade, who remembered him being the fighter his father was supposed to fight. "Yes, I was supposed to fight him, however, I didn't know anything about this Quirk he suddenly has, but considering that he was brainwashed by those sick #, I wouldn't put it past the possibility that he was experimented on in other ways. I will continue to believe in the good that man had in him."
"Whoa, Slider, Bonesaw, Clock Cleaner, Underclaw, even Typhoomerang!?" Kirishima exclaimed. Being an MMA fan, the redhead sat beside Spider-Man on the bus as they watched the interviews.
"I can't believe they all actually liked my dad," Wade said, having once believed that they all looked down on Daniel for his Quirknesses. Seeing them all coming to Daniel's defense put a smile on the young boy's face.
However, before they could continue watching the news, the bus stopped, and the parking brakes were engaged. Aizawa stood up in the front and turned around to address his students. "Alright, we're here," he said.
"It's clobberin time, Wade!" Kirishima grinned with excitement as he pumped his fist.
"Hell yeah! Let's go!" Wade nodded with a determined smirk, eager to get his license. One by one, the students stepped off the bus with their suitcases. They then looked upon the place they would be taking their exam.
The National Dagoba Arena looked much like the Yoyogi National Gymnasium. It was a massive, modern building with a circular shape and a tensile structure roof that made it look like a tent.
"Ugh…I'm so nervous," groaned Jiro.
Perhaps more restless than her, Mineta shifted his body from left to right. Nervous about going into the building. "I wonder what they're gonna make us do." Mineta started groaning in despair. "Ugh. What if I can't get my license?"
"You're giving up that easily?" Wade said to him. "We haven't even started."
"That's easy for you to say. You've got this in the bag!" Mineta screamed.
The grape boy was startled when Aiazaw bent over, setting his height near the same level as his student. The teacher scowled as he said, "He's right. Say you will, not that you can't."
"Right! Sure. I've so got this!" Mineta exclaimed, pumping himself up.
Aizawa stood back up and looked at the other students. "If you can pass this test and get your provisional licenses, then you novice eggs will hatch into chicks. Becoming semi-pros. I expect your best," he said.
Wade grinned and cracked his knuckles. "We only know how to give our best," he quipped.
"Heck yeah," Mina exclaimed.
"I can't wait to be a heroic chicken!" Kaminari added, just as excited to go in and take on the exam.
"Really? Does that mean that you'll be laying eggs so all of us can have breakfast," Wade asked. His joke got him some giggles from his girlfriends.
Kaminari looked annoyed at him. "Man, why do you gotta do that?"
"Let's call out the usual, you guys!" Kirishima smiled his usual grin. "On my mark. Go Plus…"
"ULTRA!"
"Yo! What the fuck!?" Wade shouted. Even though his senses didn't perceive the person as a threat, he was still startled by his sudden appearance.
That person in question was a very tall and well-built young man with buzzed, dark brown hair and black eyes. But what caught Wade's attention was that he wasn't wearing a student uniform that was the same as UA's. It was a white collared shirt and dark pants, and a belt. He also sported a blue and orange uniform hat that had a blue and orange uniform hat that had S etched into a golden plate.
"Y'know, it's pretty rude to barge into other people's huddles like that," said another student wearing the same uniform as the first guy. He was standing next to two other students from the same school.
If Wade was being honest, this guy looked like he'd be an ass. He was a young man of fairly average height with thin, slanted eyes with tiny black pupils, and a straight purple fringe, parted on his right to cover his left eye. His hair was fluffier around the back of his head, sticking out in small tufts.
"What? Pardon me," said the first student. "I am…"
He leaned himself back, causing his hat to fall off.
"Very…"
His hands slapped against his thighs.
"Extremely sorry!"
POW!
With a face that was still smiling, the tall boy deeply bowed to Class 1-A in such an extreme way that he bent over and slammed his head against the floor. Wade and some others yelled in shock at this sudden and extreme apology. "Dude! Are you okay?!" Spider-Man yelled, instantly becoming worried for the guy after hitting his head so hard.
"Don't go near him, Wade!" Kaminari pointed at the other boy. "I do not trust his enthusiasm."
Aizawa's eyes widened. 'It's him!'
Momo walked up to her boyfriend and placed a hand on his. "What a minute, Wade. Look at their uniforms," she said, pointing at the other students. "They're from the other school on the other side of Japan. Shiketsu High School."
Wade's eyes widened. Of all the Hero courses in the world, the one at this elite school rivaled the standards set by UA High.
The boy that bow swung his body back up and still had the same grin, even as his head started bleeding. "I wanted to say it just once! Plus Ultra! See, I really love UA High School. I am extremely honored to compete against such incredible students! I'm so looking forward to it," he yelled.
"Oh, blood," said one of the girls in the group.
The purple-haired boy yelled, "Let's go!
"Please to meet you, everyone from U.A., please excuse me!" The overly-excited boy turned around and started walking away. Joining the rest of his class as they walked towards the school.
Wade raised an eyebrow as he stood next to Aizawa. "Who was that guy," he asked.
"Inasa Yoarashi," said the teacher.
"Do you know him, Mr. Aizawa?" asked Hagakure.
"As a matter of fact, yes. And I know that he's strong." Aizawa said, making the students gasp. "He's the same year as you all and received the best recommendation scores. However, he declined acceptance to UA and went to Shiketsu instead."
"Wait, that guy's the same age as us?" Wade pointed to himself and Inasa. He then looked at Momo and Todoroki. "Do any of you know him?"
Shoto shook his head. "I can't say that I do."
"I'm at a loss as well, honey." Momo's fingers laced with his. "Why?"
Wade looked back at Inasa. His battle with Todoroki was one of the most intense fights of his life. He felt goosebumps at the thought of fighting someone with that power level. "If that guy got in through recommendations, he's likely just as strong as Shoto," he said, grimacing.
The gravity of that idea weighed heavily on the others. "Man, I don't even want to think about that," Ochaco whimpered and clung to Wade's other arm.
"Hang on, is anyone else confused?" Sero said. "This guy says that he loves our school, but he turned down his chance to enroll when it was offered?"
"Yeah. What a weirdo," Mina said, walking over to stand beside Wade.
"Maybe, but he's the real deal. Keep an eye on him," Aizawa told his students. However, unbeknownst to him, the man's life was about to turn upside down with one person's appearance.
"Eraser?! I know that scowl anywhere!" shouted a woman's voice. When he heard her voice, Aizawa's body flinched as an even more annoyed expression grew on his scowl.
Walking over to the U.A. teacher was a young woman of a strong athletic build with noticeably muscular arms. She had sea-green hair that reached past her shoulders and a short fringe with splayed ends. She had dark green eyes with bright pupils, but by far, her most prominent feature was her unwavering joyous smile.
Her hero costume consisted of a sleeveless navy blue shirt with a high collar that's buttoned up all the way to her chin, puffed shorts with a green and orange pinstripe design, and a corset adorned with yellow smiley-face pins that were dipping down in a shallow "U" in the center. Below this, she wore a white V-shaped belt. On her hands, she had padded yellow gloves with golden plates over her knuckles and lower fingers, which extended in orange-striped tubes down her lower arms, with thick metal cylinders acting as wristguards over the top. She also wore an orange bandana on her head.
She smiled broadly as she greeted the hero, "I've seen you on TV and at the Sports Festival, but I haven't seen you in person in a while.".
The sight of the woman made Aizawa's blood run cold. His facial expression showed the horror he felt toward the woman. Why? Why, of all the teachers, did she have to be the one to come?
Wade raised an eyebrow, finding the woman to be oddly familiar looking. "Who's she?" he asked.
The woman stopped before Aizawa and pointed to herself and him. "Let's get married."
"No," Aizawa said. Immediately intrigued by the idea of her teacher being in a romantic relationship, Mina gasped.
The green-haired woman burst out laughing. "Ha ha! You're a real laugh-riot, buddy!"
"And as usual, you're impossible, Joke," the Class 1-A teacher said, scowling at the laughing woman.
It was at that moment that it clicked for Wade. "Oh wait, now I remember. She's Ms. Joke, the Smile Hero," he said with a smile. Remembering how funny her fights were when he was growing up. Thanks to her Quirk, Outburst. This power forces the people around her to laugh, preventing them from thinking straight and leaving them open for attacks.
"Imagine if I were your wife! You'd have a future full of laughter!" she exclaimed with her iconic grin.
"That sounds like an actual nightmare," Aizawa said. Ms. Joke burst out laughing once again.
Wade couldn't resist the urge to joke at his teacher's expense. "Mr. Aizawa~. I had no idea you had a type," he said teasingly.
"You're very close to being expelled, Walker," he growled.
Tsuyu placed a finger on her chin. "It seems you two are close.
"Our agencies were near each other." Ms. Joke then started acting all lovey-dovey. "As young heroes striving to make a difference in the world, our romance blossomed."
"No, it didn't!" Aizawa quickly denied it.
"I do miss your quick retorts!" Ms. Joke quipped, enjoying the fact that she could still get a rise out of Aizawa after all these years. "You're my favorite person to tease, future husband."
Aizawa sighed. There was no getting rid of her. Not when her students would be with his students during the exam. "So, Joke. If you're here, then that means…"
"That's right. Over here, everyone! This is UA!" Joke called over to a group of students walking over to her and Aizawa. The students wore plain gray polo shirts, dark brown trousers for the male, and skirts for the female students, respectively.
"Oh, whoa. It's really Class A," exclaimed one of the boys.
The girl beside him slapped his shoulder and said, "Wow! That's so amazing! I've seen them on TV before."
"That's Wade Walker!"
"He won the Sports Festival and fought the League of Villains!"
"Can I have an autograph!"
As Wade was overwhelmed, the rest of the class watched. Kaminari shook his head. "First, he's a babe magnet, and now he's a celebrity."
"Second-years from Ketsubetsu Academy," Joke said. "These are my students, Class 2."
Wade was then approached by one of the male students, who surprised him by grabbing both of his hands and holding them. "It's really nice to meet you, Wade Walker. I'm Yo Shindo," said the young man. "You've had a really rough time at U.A., huh? Especially with that kidnapping incident and seeing your dad becoming a villain."
"Not by his own choice." Wade pulled his hands away from Shindo. Slightly put off by his forwardness, and upset that he brought up his father being a villain.
However, Shindo moved to his other classmates and did the same thing. "The same goes for everyone. Seems like everyone's had a really tough time," he said, holding Kaminari's hands, before moving down to Jiro. "But even still, you're all still aiming to become Pro Heroes despite those hardships. It's wonderful! Hearts full of grit. I believe that's what every hero in the world needs to have."
'Okay, something's definitely up with this guy.' Wade thought as he looked at Shindo with a raised eyebrow. 'No one could be this nice!'
"So I hope you don't mind, Wade." Shindo returned his attention to him. "I'm going to learn from you as much as possible."
"Shut up, will you?" The conversation was cut short by Bakugo being himself. The explosive blonde glared at Shindo, annoyed at his friendly attitude. "You can stop pretending because it's not fooling anyone. If you're going to lie, then have the look in your eyes match what you say."
Shindo's smile grew. Matching the mischievous look in his eyes.
Kirishima yelled at his friend, "Don't be so rude!" The redhead turned back to Shindo. "I'm sorry. He's just like that."
"All the time, every day." Wade chuckled.
"Shut up, you damn bug!" Like clockwork, Bakugo yelled at Wade.
Shindo waved his hand. "It's fine. It proves how tough his heart is."
The conversation, however, was cut short by Aizawa. "Hey. Get your costumes and head to orientation," said the teacher. He turned and walked towards the building. "There's no time to waste."
"Yes, sir!" said the students.
As Wade walked toward the building, he walked alongside his girlfriends, Kaminari and Jiro. The punk rock girl looked at the other schools, and their students were talking to one another, glancing at U.A.'s Class 1-A. "It's weird," said the punk rock girl, "I always forget we're famous to other schools."
"Oh, yeah, we're basically like celebrities regarding Hero Course students," Kaminari said. Loving the attention, he gave the other schools a peace sign. "No pictures, please!"
As soon as Ms. Joke heard the electric blonde, she gasped in shock. In an instant, she wondered if the students were unaware of what was about to happen. They couldn't have been unprepared, especially if Aizawa had warned them beforehand. He could not have kept his students in the dark about it, not if he wanted them to succeed.
At least, that's what she'd hoped.
"Wait, hold on." Ms. Joke said, getting her colleague to stop and listen to her. "Did you not warn your kids, Eraser?"
Aizawa said nothing and walked away.
A few minutes later, Wade felt himself becoming claustrophobic.
Hundreds of students from all over the country were packed into the orientation room. They were all waiting for the Provisional Hero Licensing Exam to begin. During the biannual test, the Hero Public Safety Commission would make announcements and monitor the examination. Evaluate each student's performance and determine if they are eligible for licensing.
While Wade and the others waited for the HPSC agents to appear on stage, Spider-Man looked around. Despite the size of the room, he had little space to move around. Like sardines, the kids were packed in there.
"Look at this crowd," he said.
"There're so many," said Ochaco.
Before long, a team of men in black suits walked up onto the stage. Among them, one sat down while the others stood. The one that sat down let out a long, tired groan as he pulled out some folders and set them down on the long table.
"Okay, let's get this over with," said the man.
With chin-length, messy beige hair, he was a lanky middle-aged man. His attire included a formal black shirt and pants, a white undershirt, a loose tie, and black shoes. As a public commentator and speaker, he finished his look with a microphone. Sleep deprivation has resulted in small but noticeable bags that frame his eyes.
As Wade looked at him, he almost felt sorry for him. He looked like he needed two dozen cups of coffee.
"I'm…uh, I'm Yokumiru Mera, from, uh, the Hero Public Safety Commission. My Circadian Rhythm is so screwed up. Ah, man. I've been swamped lately, and I haven't gotten much rest. We're too short-staffed. I'm so tired…," he said, hanging his head down, beyond exhausted. Everyone in the orientation room could only stare at the man as he placed his hand on his face, groaning at how miserable his life had become. "With that confession out of the way, I'll begin orientation."
"Damn, have these guys ever heard of vacation time?" Wade whispered in pity.
Mera sighed and continued. "So, about the content of this licensing thing. 1,540 examinees will compete in a free-for-all exercise or whatever the hell we're calling it this year."
"Of course," Wade groaned. It wasn't as if he was being pitted against fellow students for the hundredth time in a row since starting school. "Do adults just like seeing kids beat the shit out of each other? It's like the Hunger Games."
"Seriously, though, it's not a lot of info," Sero said. Even he had to agree with Wade, though.
Mera nearly fell asleep as he nodded his head up and down. But he forced his eyes to stay open and continued. "You see, we have a lot of Pros around, and since Stain was arrested, many people are expressing doubts about Heroes."
Wade scowled, knowing that he was talking about Stain's convictions. He left a lasting impression on the world despite the death and misery brought upon the nation by his blade. The idea that most pros don't deserve the name "hero" continues to capture people's attention.
"But, when you think about it, getting paid makes sense. If you're going to risk your life to save someone, why shouldn't you ask for a reward, huh?" asked the man. "That's just the way the world works."
"It's not just about the money," Wade said under his breath. "We're not just doing this for a reward."
Iida placed his hand on Wade's shoulder. "They're just trying to downplay Stain's conviction," he said. Though, the speedster agreed with his statement.
"Too many heroes are working together on the streets these days, whether for compensation or out of duty. In truth, the time between the beginning of an incident and the resolution is ridiculously short. You are all trying to receive your provisional licenses, so you'll be swept up in this tiresome game yourselves pretty soon. Frankly, if you lack speed, you won't be able to keep up. That's why you'll be tested on it."
The giant screen behind him turned on.
Number to Pass 1st Test
100 PEOPLE
"The first 100 students to fulfill the requirements will pass today," Mera told the examinees. The announcement came as a great shock to everyone attending the event. That's not what attendees were told. They weren't prepared for the stacks to be this high.
"Over 1,500 people are taking this test. It was said that about half had a good chance of passing," Momo said in a panic. Meaning all of her classmates, Ochaco, Mina, and Wade, were in danger of failing if they didn't outperform the other students.
"This means...less than 10% of people will get licenses," Tsuyu said worriedly.
Freaking out, Jiro grabbed her arms. "Oh, man, I'm getting way more nervous."
"The world's a crappy place, kids. I suppose I should say something about luck. So, here are the basic rules." Mera stood up from his seat and reached under the table. He then pulled out a rubber ball the size of a baseball and a small disc device. At the same time, the massive screen assisted in explaining the exam's rules by providing visuals. "The examinee will put three of these targets on their body. They can go anywhere you want to place them. So long as they're exposed. So no soles of the feet or armpits. Each of you will have six of these balls. The targets are programmed to light up whenever the balls touch them. If all three targets are lit up, you're out. The person who lights up your third target will be credited for your defeat. You get through this round by taking down two people," Mera said. "Got it? Good."
"Wow. Just like the entrance exam," Wade said. However, he knew this exam would be more difficult, especially since he would be facing people rather than robots. They have enough balls to pass, but is it possible to steal the third target from someone else after they've hit the first two?
In either case, Wade would have to use all his skills to pass the exam and earn his license.
"Uh, I guess we'll pass out the targets and balls," Mera said as his staff handed out the items to the students. "You'll have a few minutes to get set up after we open."
"'Open'?" Shoto asked.
All of a sudden, the room started shaking. Wade looked up to see the roof beginning to split open. For a moment, he thought that the room was underground and that they would be brought to the surface on an elevator system. However, to his shock, all the walls fell, and the arena opened to the students. Revealing to them a vast array of environments to do battle, forests, mountains, bridges, and even aquatic.
"I'm sure each of you has terrains you like or want to avoid," said Mera. "Use your Quirks well and do your best. Or not. Whatever."
"Who is paying for this shit!?" Wade yelled. "Is this where all our taxes are going towards!"
"Yes. I know, it makes for a great reveal," said Mera, unknowingly answering Wade's question. "Hopefully, some of these kids are fast, and we can finish this. Until then, I'm gonna rest my eyes."
"Hey, Eraser, your fly is down." Joke tried holding in her laughter.
As he sat a few seats away from Ms. Joke with his arms crossed and his right eye twitching, Aizawa thought to himself, "Why can't I get a moment of peace and quiet?"
It was just then that a new Hero jumped down to land on the set alongside Joke, startling the green-haired woman and making her scream.
The Hero gently brushed her hair back behind her ear and pointed to her chest with one thumb. "Hey, losers! How's it hanging?!" exclaimed the new No.5 Hero, The Rabbit Hero: Mirko.
She was a dark-skinned woman of above-average height, with narrow red eyes, long, defined eyelashes, and straight white hair reaching her thighs with bangs that parted to the left of her face. Despite having a slim and curvy figure, she had a lean, athletic, well-defined build, particularly in her arms and legs. Due to her Quirk, Rabbit, she had white rabbit ears and a small, round white tail, giving her a look like an albino rabbit.
For her Hero costume, Mirko wore a sleeveless white leotard with dark purple trim around her shoulders and waist, a yellow crescent moon over her chest, and a thick metal plate around her midsection. Her leotard was complimented by purple thigh-high boots that were plated around the heel and toe areas, giving her feet a rabbit-like appearance. Her hands were also covered with thick, white gloves with long cuffs, and their edges had small triangular protrusions.
Aizawa's eye twitched again. 'Fuck me.'
"Eeeeh, what's up, doc?" Ms. Joke quipped.
Mirko stared at her unamusedly. "Never gonna stop with that, are you?" she asked, plopping down on the set.
After a quick moment to laugh, Joke said, "I heard you would be selected for the No.5 position. Congratulations!"
"Hell yeah!" she exclaimed, flexing her arm. She then sunk into her seat with a bored expression. "Too bad I have to protect the exams with Gang Orca. All because they fear that the League will attack the exam."
"And we all appreciate you being here," Aizawa dryly said, not in the mood for the rowdy Hero.
Seeing Aizawa, Mirko grinned. "Hi, Eraser. Have you been keeping an eye on your troublemakers," she asked.
Aizawa said, "On a couple in particular."
"That spider kid wouldn't happen to be one of them, would he," Ms. Joke asked, having heard about him in the news. "He's certainly making waves."
As Aizawa watched his students place their targets on their bodies, he said, "That's true. And I've got a feeling he'll be the first target on everyone's mind."
Mirko sat up in her seat and crossed her right leg over her left leg. "You think he won't make it?"
Aizawa closed his eyes. "He's got more skill than you and many other pros, Mirko. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he takes your spot if you're not careful," he said.
Seeing a tick mark pop on Mirko's head, Ms. Joke placed a hand to her lips. "Ooh, that sounded like a declaration of war," she said, grinning.
"You better take it back, Aizawa!" Mirko pointed angrily at the teacher. "I've tangoed with bigger insects than your student spider."
"Whatever happens on your bed is your business," he said. "But I wouldn't be surprised if he makes that declaration himself."
Mirko grinned and pointed to herself. "Then you certainly realize I'm not gonna go down that easily! I'll have that kid on his butt and worn out by the time I'm done with him." The Rabbit Hero crossed her arms, thinking she'd wow the argument.
"So…does that mean you're gonna have sex with that Walker kid or…" Ms. Joke drifted off with a sly smirk. Bursting out in laughter when she saw Mirko's ears straighten up, and a massive blush appeared on her face.
"S-Shut up! You know what I mean!" Mirko shouted, raising a fist at the Smile Hero.
Taking a moment to reassemble herself, Joke turned back to Aizawa. "I can't believe you still have 20 students," she commented. She looked down at the students. "You must really like these kids."
"Not really," said Aizawa.
Ms. Joke laughed again. "Don't be embarrassed. That's so like you!" she said. "Please date me."
"Get a room, you two," Mirko said
"Shut up," Aizawa responded.
The Smile Hero laughed again. "But really. You know what's about to happen down there," she said. Mirko raised an eyebrow at her. "And yet, you didn't mention it to your class."
The moment the students were freed, they rushed out across the arena. Those from the same school stuck together. As he stuck with his classmates, Wade reviewed the rules given to them in his head. If the first people to finish win, then no one will go after their classmates. Meaning that the best course of action for him and the others to win was to team up with each other and those whose powers they already knew.
"Everyone, listen up!" he yelled. "We have to stick together. If we team up and take on these guys, our chances of all of us passing will increase."
"Got it!" Iida said.
Bakugo nodded. "I agree. That's an excellent idea," he said.
Everyone looked at him in stunned silence. "...R-...Really?" Wade asked.
"Fuck no! This isn't a damn field trip!" Bakugo shouted as he marched away. "I'm out of here!"
"Idiot. Wait up!" Kirishima ran after Bakugou.
"What the hell, man?" Wade yelled, throwing his arms up.
"I'm going on my own, too," Todoroki said. "It's hard for me to use my power safely in a large group."
Wade sighed in frustration when he realized that he had lost three classmates before the exam even started. Facepalming, he asked, "Does anyone else feel like breaking a slasher movie rule?" He looked at the others. "Anyone? Splitting up in a slasher movie is the quickest way to die. So if you want to be taken out immediately, go ahead. Why not just say 'I'll be right back' while you're at it."
"Wade, come on!" Mineta said, "We don't have time to just rant.".
"Just saying. That's how Michael Myers gets you." Wade followed the others, and they ran off.
"Come on, Hiroshima! Show these amateurs who the best school is!" Mirko shouted. Even though she was supposed to be on guard to ensure villains didn't attack the exam, the Rabbit Hero wanted to see the students in action.
Ms. Joke, on the other hand, just sat with her head resting on her hand. "Every year, the test is different. But one thing's always the same. It's kind of like a tradition during the licensing exam," she said.
"It's a horrible idea to just run off alone!" Wade said, running in front of the others. Together, they were heading towards the mountainous region of the area.
"How come?" asked Mineta.
"Think, Mineta!" Wade pointed to his head. "Thanks to the Sports Festival, the villains were able to figure out what kind of powers we had. But it wasn't just Shigaraki and his goons watching us."
Everyone gasped upon realizing the colossal disadvantage they were at.
"Most students who compete in the provisional exam have pretty equal footing. Except for one school," Ms. Joke said.
"She's right, you know?" Mirko leaned back in her seat and placed her hands behind her head, realizing the Smile Hero's point. "Because the top school's sports festival is broadcast across the country, not just showing off your students' quirks, but their weaknesses and fighting styles too."
"So you're saying they know all our weaknesses and strengths?" Iida asked.
"That's right," Wade said. "Meaning they'll be coming after us in full force!"
"Oh, man! You mean they know how to beat us?" Jiro groaned.
Wade replied, "No, they don't know everything about us." However, he couldn't say the same for himself. As a result of his battle with the League, everyone in the country and worldwide saw just how powerful he was and how well he controlled his One-for-All Powers.
As she ran alongside him with Iida and the other two girlfriends of Spider-Man, Mina asked, "What do you mean?"
"They only know about our abilities during the Sports Festival." Wade grinned as he dawned on his Spider-Man mask, ready to face the challenge that lay ahead of him. "They don't know how much stronger we've become!"
A second later, an airhorn blared through the arena. "The first test will now begin," said the announcer.
"Alright! Let's see some action!" Mirko pumped her fist.
"We know how they work. Thanks to the Sports Festival, we figured out their weaknesses, their styles, all of it. You should've told them that the exam always starts…." Ms. Joke drifted off as 1-A ran further into the arena.
Only to see a multitude of her students ambushing Aizawa's.
"...with the U.A. getting crushed."
"Why on Earth would I tell them that," Aizawa asked.
Even Mirko was surprised by his response. "What? Are you serious?"
"Real heroes could turn this situation around," Aizawa said. "Besides, if they want to become Pros, they'll face villains who already know their Quirks. "Perhaps at U.A., we look a little further ahead than other schools."
As the Ketsubutsu Academy emerged from hiding and stood on the cliffs above, Wade yelled, "Here we go!"
"I saw you during the Sports Festival. That power of yours also destroys your body," said Shindo in his hero costume. Gone were his politeness and the friendly guy attitude. Instead, all that was left was mischief and a need to beat the famous Heroes-in-Training. "Well, can't say I'm not above taking advantage of that!"
He and his classmates threw their balls at the U.A. students.
Wade jumped into the air and activated Battle Focus. "If you had seen my fight with the League of Villains, you would have known I could do THIS!"
(The Avengers theme)
As Spider-Man kicked one of the balls back toward the rival students, he created a powerful blast of wind that forced all the other balls to return to their throwers, forcing Shindo to dodge and duck behind cover.
"What the hell!" He exclaimed, peeking out from behind the rock.
"Let's show them, guys!" Wade yelled, grinning under his mask.
"Right! Dark Shadow!" Tokoyami activated his ultimate move, Black Abyss. Donning and equipping Dark Shadow onto himself, wearing it like a suit of armor or an exoskeleton that protected him from attack and enhanced his strength. And he used this ability to enlarge Dark Shadow's arms and reach out toward the balls coming at him. Swiping them away before they got too close.
Ochaco sucked in a breath of air and jumped up, using her Quirk to make herself float over a barrage of balls.
Wade shouted, "Ochaco!" With how high she was, Wade was worried that if the gravity girl released herself, she would seriously hurt herself when she hit the ground.
"Don't worry, Wade! Watch this!" Ochaco exclaimed and held out her arm. That's when Wade saw her arm gauntlet had been changed to include four raised openings with pink handles now protruding. "Thank you, babe! I upgraded my costume because of you!" Ochaco exclaimed.
Ochaco fired a grappling hook from her gauntlet. The hook stabbed into the ground before she pulled herself down. At the same time, the gravity-defying girl skillfully dodged balls thrown at her until landing safely on the ground.
Mina exclaimed, "Way to go, Ochaco!" The alien girl used strands of acid like wipes to melt the balls thrown at her.
However, some balls got past Mina's acid and headed for Tsuyu and Hagakure.
"Momo!" Wade yelled.
"I'm on it!" Momo quickly formed three riot shields and handed one to the other two girls. Together, they formed a defensive circle and protected each other from the balls hitting the shield.
"Iida! Draw their fire away from us!" Wade ordered his friend. Dodging each ball thrown at him with ease thanks to his Spidey Senses.
"Understood!" Iida then took off running at jet-like speeds. Some of Ketsubutsu threw their balls at him, just as Wade hoped they would. Now he and the others could start their counter-offense.
"Sero! Mineta! Let's take away their balls…Okay, that just sounded wrong. I'm sorry." Returning his attention back to the barrage of balls, Wade unleashed a large webbing net. Snatching as many rubber balls out of the sky as possible and trapping them in a giant ball of webbing that fell on the ground. "I meant these balls."
"We get it, Wade," Sera said. He also lashed out and snatched up some rubber balls using his Tape-Quirk. Mineta joined in by connecting his Pop-Off balls into a whip, catching the rubber balls with it.
Wade landed on the ground, before his friends as they gathered around in a ring, ready to fight back against their opponents. While crouching, Spider-Man generated lightning in his fists and arms. Alongside him stood Ochaco, who assumed a fighting stance, and Sero, who retracted his tape. Momo held her shield and summoned a staff as Tsuyu whipped out her tongue before pulling it back in. With her new Amplifier Jack on her forearms, Jiro punched her fists together. Shoji simply cracked his knuckles. Mina's pink arms were dripping with acid as Iida came running back. As Mineta made another whip with his balls, Kaminari formed lightning bolts between his hands. Both Ojiro and Hagakure stood in fighting stances together. Kota adjusted his mask, Sato ate a few sugar cubes and powered up, and Aoyama flexed.
'Alright.' Wade looked at his fists and legs with a grin under his mask. 'Melissa's upgrades are holding up. And everyone else has their incredible powers taken to the next level, too. Our intensive training's paying off!'
"We've got this, you guys!" Wade punched his fist into his palm as bioelectricity sparked. "These assholes think they can take on UA? I'd like to see them try it!"
"YEAH!" Wade's classmates yelled.
"Wow, it's like they're a real team." Mirko scoffed. At the same time, multiple students started fighting in other areas of the arena. "That's pretty cowardly of them."
"Do they think finishing fast is more important?" Ms. Joke wondered. "Like the first ones to pass will be ranked as the top. If that's the case, it'll lead them to attack immediately."
"Yes, but teamwork is the key to winning," said Aizawa, crossing his arms. "The wise ones will cooperate and gather information together. But they'll expose themselves if seduced by the urge to win and rush to get points. And then it's all over."
"None of our attacks landed," said another student of Ketsubutsu, Shikkui Makabe. His skin is blue, rough, and rock-like, almost like a carapace. He has no visible hair, nose, or ears. Still, he has a wide, jagged mouth with a protruding spike sticking upwards on either side of his face and blue eyes rimmed with what appears to be thick eyelashes of the same color. His neck seems to be made up of multiple different rings stacked on top of each other, which are a slightly darker blue than his skin.
"I guess we shouldn't have been surprised," Shindo said, stepping out from behind the boulder he hid behind. "UA wouldn't have gone down without a fight."
"Maybe not, but we have a plan." Makabe grabbed a bundle of capture balls and rubbed them together in his hand. Using his Quirk, Stiffening, he turned them harder than concrete. "All done!"
The blue boy threw them to another student, who easily caught them. "I'll take it from here," said Itejiro Toteki, a young man with small, black, oval-shaped eyes, a notably small mouth, and a round nose. He had wavy, shoulder-length black hair pushed back on his forehead, before it came down to frame his face.
Toteki activated his power, Boomerang, while doing a pose. The Quirk allowed him to throw objects with pinpoint accuracy and change their trajectory mid-flight.
"Just try not to be jealous when I finish ahead of the rest of our class," he said. "But I'm sure you won't mind since I'll reduce the enemy numbers with this elegant attack."
Feeling his Spidey Senses going off again, Wade turned his head toward Toteki. "This isn't good."
"Lock-on." Toteki then tossed the hardened capture balls into the air, where they plummeted to the ground and raced toward the UA class with incredible speed. "Boomerang. Crescent Moon Trajectory. My aim is always true. And since these projectiles are underground, no one will have time to dodge."
"Yeah, unless you have Spidey Senses," Wade said. However, not everyone had the same early-warning powers he had.
"I've got this!" exclaimed Jiro, plugging her Earphone Jack's into her new amplifier devices. "Amplifier Jack: Heartbeat Distortion!"
Jiro slammed the amplifiers onto the floor and unleashed her Ultimate Move by channeling a soundwave toward their opponents. Vibrations were so intense that they shattered the ground. It knocked the Ketsubutsu High students off their feet.
The capture balls, however, flew into the air after shooting out of the ground. Then, they changed direction and flew toward Wade.
"Take out Walker!" Shindo yelled.
Wade's eyes widened in a panic. "What did I ever do to you guys?!"
Mina yelled, "Maximum strength, maximum viscosity! " Rushing over to her boyfriend, Mina created a gelatinous acid wall that blocked the incoming projectiles. The special move not only stopped them, but it was strong enough to effortlessly melt the hardened balls, which were more robust than concrete. "Keep our lover safe, Acid Veil!"
Wade blushed and smiled at his girlfriend. "Mina, that was incredible!"
"Aw, thanks. You're so sweet." Mina blew a kiss at him.
Pulling out two capture balls, Wade tossed them up and shot a web-line at each of them. Wade then caught the balls and grinned under his mask. "I wouldn't call myself Scorpion, but I'm above taking some inspiration," he said, looking at another student of Ketsubutsu, Tatami Nakagame.
She was a pale, curvaceous girl of a reasonably muscular build with large, pointed teeth—similar to Kirishima's. She had wide, rectangular eyes with thick upper eyelashes with pronounced lower ones, and her irises were notably miniature and blue in color. Her hair was short, ash blonde, and styled with two longer clumps spiking outwards on either side of her head, which somewhat resembled the fins of a fish, and a single, chin-length bang on her right. Further contributing to Nakagame's aquatic motif are her two earrings, which are turquoise and shaped like fish. They hang vertically from each ear, with the tails pointing down.
However, while her appearance and costume would have people believe she had the powers of a fish, it was a little stranger than that.
"Get over here!" yelling like the yellow ninja, Wade swung the capture balls around and threw them at Nakagame.
"No, no, no, no!" She screamed in a panic, seeing the two balls coming at her.
Then, she surprised the young man by using her Quirk, Telescopic, to make her head, body, and arms retract into her stomach. Making the balls pass over her, before Wade pulled them back and caught them.
Nakagame popped her head back out. "Whew! That was close."
"Looks like all the students are still in a stalemate," said Mera on the intercom. "Not a single one's passed yet. Oh, and don't worry, students; I'll update you with an announcement every time a few students move on to the next round."
"Okay, thanks," Wade said, raising an eyebrow. Did he really think this round would be over quickly?
"I'd pay attention if I were you!" Another Ketsubutsu student threw a ball at him.
The ball was caught, however, and Wade threw it back at him, hitting him in one of his targets. Wade grinned under his mask, shocking the student. "That was really stupid!" Wade yelled, swinging the capture balls he had on his web lines. "You guys want me out, then let's go!"
"Don't go running off on your own, Wade," Momo said. "Remember, it's suicide to fight alone. Especially when we don't know what they're planning."
"R-Right," Wade said, knowing she was right. There was no way he could ditch the others because he was so excited. During his fight with the League of Villains, he showed that he was vulnerable to overwhelming numbers, especially if they overwhelmed his senses and prevented him from adequately reacting. No doubt these guys would have picked up on that. And being the best student in U.A., Wade presented the most significant threat.
"What's the plan, Wade?" Ojiro said, sweating a bit.
"We need to get away from these guys," Wade said, looking around. "We're surrounded by people with powers we don't understand or know about."
"Any ideas," asked Kaminari.
"I've got a few bad ones," Wade quipped as he charged his bioelectricity. They were all holding back, waiting for a blind spot to appear and how he and the others had developed their Quirks. "What do you guys think? Those licenses aren't going to fly into our hands. Let's give them a fight they won't soon forget."
"Oh, you think you can take us on?" Shindo said, cracking his fingers with a grin. "All right, then. No more holding back."
"You said UA looks a bit further ahead than other schools," Ms. Joke said, aware that UA seemed to be right where her students wanted them. In response to Aizawa's earlier statement, she scoffed. That's pretty condescending of you to say that. Can you imagine how many kids in this world aspire to be heroes? A strong will is more important than attending a prestigious school or being renowned."
"She's not wrong." Mirko grinned as she crossed her arms. "Your school isn't the only place where great heroes are born. Like me, for example."
In annoyance, Joke looked at Mirko and said, "And that's exactly what I'm getting at. When you think you're the stars and look down on others, you reveal your weaknesses. That's how you fail."
"Out of the way! Their defenses are too strong," Shindo said, touching the ground with his hands. "I'll fix that."
Wade's spider senses rang in his head. "Everyone, get ready!" He yelled, crouching down.
"Maximum force!" Shindo shouted, activating his Quirk: Vibrate. The palms of his glowing as a dome of energy formed on the ground. And then he unleashed his Quirk. "Tremoring Earth!"
The ground cracked as Shindo unleashed an intensely powerful shockwave. However, it pales in comparison to the ground on which the UA students walk. As a massive explosion sent everyone flying up into the air with an enormous amount of force, everyone screamed and shouted.
"What the heck is this!" screamed Mina as the battlefield was utterly destroyed.
Mineta yelled, "His power is insane! "
Taking advantage of the boulders and large rocks all around him, Wade started making his way up. Continuously jumping to the nearest one, he climbed higher into the air as he tried to reach his friends. However, just as he was about to make it to Ochaco, a large boulder the size of a car fell on top of him. Sending Wade screaming down to the ground as the others watched on in horror.
"WADE!"
"AAAAAAAAHHHH! Wade screamed, before crashing to the ground.
As a result of the Tremoring Earth attack, a massive dust cloud obscured what was happening inside. Everyone in the arena turned their heads toward the cloud as they felt it. Wade's classmates were the only ones who knew he was likely seriously injured. However, they were powerless to help him.
Not when they themselves were scattered across the arena in small groups.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Wade's eyes shot open at the sound of Mera's yelling over the intercom. Even underground, buried under rocks, he could hear the outside world. A few glimpses of sunlight shone through the cracks between the rocks, telling him it wasn't that deep.
Wade listened to the HPSC agent screaming as he started pushing the boulder away from his body.
"WHAT!? THERE WERE 120 PEOPLE TAKEN DOWN?! A person managed to do that in just one attack?!"
"Someone what?!" Wade shouted, tossing the boulder aside. His head shook as he sat up, groaning in pain. "Was that Todoroki? Unless he froze everything, he couldn't have done that. Did someone else do that?"
"That actually surprised me so much that I'm awake!" Mera proclaimed. "I assume we'll see a lot of people passing from now on. Everyone, let's get this out of the way so I can take a break. Good? Good."
"It'll be good when I get my hands on that asshole. I don't think Melissa would want me to return this suit to her all messed up."
He looked around and saw the destruction surrounding him, as if standing in a zone that a natural disaster had struck. However, Spider-Man noted that he was alone and far away from his friends.
In realizing why Ketsubutsu was targeting him, Wade realized this was their plan all along. He was trying to isolate Spider-Man from the others. They would be much easier to pick off without him around to back up his friends and without the class as one. "I better go find the others."
Wade's Spidey Senses went off again, alerting him that something dangerous was approaching. Deploying two of his pincers from his back, Wade whirled around and saw a mysterious girl in a jumpsuit rushing at him, holding a capture ball.
To defend himself, Wade thrust the spider legs at his attacker in retaliation. But the girl dodged them by side-stepping to the right. She reached out to hit the target on his symbol with the ball as the spider legs passed by, but Wade crossed his arms and prevented her from hitting it. Spider-Man tried hitting her, but the girl flipped over him.
"Whoa, hey!" Wade exclaimed when he saw the girl's graceful movements. As time seemed to slow down, he stared at her as she smiled at him with a sultry, yet creepy look in her eyes.
As a young woman of average height, Camie Utsushimi had straight, fawn-colored hair that reached just below her shoulders and large, dark-brown eyes. Her lips were noticeably plump and glossy, and she had a mature, curvaceous figure that could rival Momo's.
Her hero costume consisted of a simple black catsuit with blended patterned lines and a zipper running down the middle, left slightly down to reveal her cleavage. She wears white cuffs around her wrists, white heeled knee-high boots patterned with gray lines, and a loose black collar lined with metallic plates.
Wade turned around and saw Camie landing on the ground a few feet behind him. "Aw, I was so close. I totes had that," the girl said teasingly, grabbing the brim of her Shiketsu hat while bent over slightly. Giving Wade a view of her cleavage. "Your reflexes are truly amazing."
"W-Wow, you think so?" Wade said as he looked at the assailant. His pincers retracted back into his back as he acted sheepishly. "Oh, you know, it's kind of thanks to my Spidey Senses. It's like an early warning system in my head."
"Wow? Really? That's, like, totes cool." The girl placed a finger on the corner of her lips. She licked her lips and said, "Guess that means you'll be hard to get."
"Guess we can't just walk away and be friends, huh?" Wade quipped. "You're from Shiketsu."
"Camie Utstushimi, and you're Wade Walker. The cutie everyone's talking about," she commented. "With how chaotic this exam is, people will go after those they know best. That's why I tracked you down, Wade. I have been thinking about you ever since I saw you on TV. I assumed U.A. would be the first to be attacked. I had to find you guys right away. I want to know everything~."
Wade blushed as red as his mask. "Whoa, hey there. Though I am flattered, I am already spoken for. Besides, we're supposed to tag each other out, right?" he asked as he prepared his capture balls.
"Nah, I'd rather talk. But if you want to play tag, then let's play!"
Camie threw a capture ball straight at the hero. When Spider-Man saw it coming, he jumped back, dodging the ball and landing on the ground. Wade glanced back at Camie, but was surprised to see that she had vanished. "Oh, crap. Where did she go?"
As Camie approached Wade, his senses alerted him again, and he quickly jumped over her. In the air, Wade fired a short barrage of web-balls at her. Hitting her in the legs, back, shoulders, and arms. Binding her to the ground.
Landing on the ground in a perch position, Wade stood up and walked over to Camie. "Sorry, Camie, but I do hope you understand. I can't lose here," he said, tossing one ball up and down.
As Wade was within arm's reach, Camie giggled seductively. "Oh, I do," she said. "But neither can I."
All of a sudden, the webbing around her let out a snap as Camie broke it.
"What the—!" Wade was interrupted when Camie shot her hand, holding the ball, out to the target on his spider insignia. Spider-Man quickly grabbed her arm and flipped the girl over him. Sending her tumbling across the ground. "How did you do that?"
Camie stood back up and smiled at Wade, despite being thrown like a rag doll. "Sorry, I can't tell you." Camie winked at Spider-Man.
The girl then picked up a rock and threw it at Wade. "Whoa!" Wade easily dodged it. "Hey, didn't your parents tell you it's rude to do that?" Wade's senses alerted him to another ball flying at him, and he quickly jumped up into the air. "Alright, that's it!"
He threw his capture ball at Camie, but the girl quickly dodged it. The blonde girl glanced up just as she was about to tag him out again. Wade, however, had disappeared. Having vanished while in midair.
"Aw, where'd he go?" Camie said, looking around for the person she was interested in.
"Right behind you."
Camie turned around to tag Wade out, but the invisible Spider-Man shot her in the chest with a web-ball. Her torso was covered in webbing before she was kicked to the ground. As Wade reappeared from his camouflage, he pinned her limbs with his webbing. "You're not the only one who knows the disappearing act," he said.
"Oh, you think my Quirk allows me to disappear?" Camie said, unconcerned. Despite her best efforts, she was unable to break free of the webbing. "Sorry, cutey. I was just hiding."
Wade asked as he walked around her body, "Yeah? You don't have invisibility like me?" Standing above her head, he sensed something was wrong with his girl. It was a sense he'd pick out the moment he saw her. Something was in the way she talked to him. The way she fought. Not to mention how Camie looked at him like a pound of meat a predator would want to devour.
But Wade knew this girl was dangerous. Not because she had a strong Quirk, but because he knew she would stab him if he took his eyes off her.
Camie said, shifting her body. "It's just a technique. I make my opponent's eyes and ears blind to my presence. The hardest part is not thinking."
"Wow, for real?" Wade gasped, crouching down above her head and peering down at her. "Shiketus really teaches students that kind of technique."
"The trick is not viewing training as a chore." Camie giggled as she moved her sexy body, showing Wade her cleavage. "I'm glad we're getting to know each other, little spider, and now I'd like to ask you a question. Are you really motivated to be a hero for honor? For pride? Or for others' sake? I want to know what makes you tick, and what scares you. Why not just let other heroes save people, and just look the other way—?"
Wade reached out and tagged the target on her shoulder. Camie looked up at Wade as he continued to stare down at her.
"I can't ever look the other way again," Wade declared. He was going to tag another target when his senses buzzed in his head. "Shit!"
Camie was surprised when Wade dropped the ball and instead grabbed her. Wade lifted her off the ground and jumped to avoid being hit by a giant net that came bursting out of the ground.
"Sero!?" Wade called out as he landed on the ground and placed Camie gently down.
However, it wasn't his friend.
Spider-Man looked up to see that the Ketsubutsu students had finally found him.
"Man, Shiketsu's trying to take him down, too?" Toteki said as the rest of his classmates joined him. With their quirks displayed, they are ready to take down Wade.
Camie pouted and growled under her breath. She was enjoying her fight with Wade until these guys had to show up and attack.
"Man, everyone wants a piece of Spidey," Wade muttered, grinning under his mask nervously. He was trapped between Camie and Ketsubutsu without any kind of backup. "Alright, let's do this."
Camie jumped at him again, but Wade quickly flipped over her. Landing behind the fawn-colored hair girl, Wade turned and fled.
"Better luck next time!"
Toteki yelled, "Get him! Get him!" The students threw their capture balls at Wade.
Wade quickly turned to his right and ran behind a large boulder. Get out of the way of many capture balls flying at him.
However, he sensed something coming up from the ground.
Activating his Battle Focus powers, Wade leapt into the air, dodging another more giant net that emerged from the ground. He looked at them and saw they were actually a net made of webbing. "Hey! Webs are my thing! I'll sue!".
"Sue this!" yelled the kid with the legs of a spider growing out of his back. The students of Ketsubutsu threw more capture balls at Wade.
"Oh yeah? How about we settle this out of court?" Wade quipped, deploying his spider legs with the tips charged with electricity. Using his senses, Wade dodged as many balls as possible while zipping some with his pincers. Sending them flying back towards their throwers and hitting them in one of their targets.
When Wade landed on the ground, he made a run for it again. However, before he could get fair, a giant toy shark suddenly appeared and attacked. "Venom Smash!" he yelled, punching it in the face and sending it flying off. "Can these Quirks get any damn weirder?"
However, things went from bad to worse when the Shiketsu class arrived. "Don't let him get away!" a student yelled.
"I'll take care of him!" That student unleashed a large cloud of smoke that consumed the area.
Wade landed with a crouch as he looked around. His vision was limited to a foot in front of him. He wouldn't be able to use his sight in this fight. In spite of this, he did not require sight in order to win. After taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes. "Alright, Spider Senses," he said, letting go of the ball he held. With a web-line, he shot it after letting it drop, making himself another flail. "Do your thing."
Swinging the ball around, Wade charged forward. His senses told him that multiple students were coming at him.
After jumping into the air, Wade struck the first attacker in the back with a web and swung the ball into his target. Another student attacked, but Wade used the momentum of his fall to ax-kick his opponent and tap a target on his shoulder, before covering him with a web-net. When a female student threw her ball at him, Wade caught it and threw it back at her. After shooting a web-line, he pulled her to him, before sending her flying back after kicking her in the stomach.
A boy with bat wings dive-bombed Wade, but Spider-Man jumped up and kicked him in the face, tagging out a target on his back. Upon landing on the ground, Wade jumped from boulder to boulder, dodging multiple balls before landing on the ground. He then threw another one of Hatsume's babies, the trip mine.
Wade continued running, grinning as he heard the screams of a student being caught by the mine. A student with a lion Quirk jumped from above and roared, but Spider-Man quickly cartwheeled and kicked him in the face.
Wade's senses came to life again to warn him that multiple students were attacking him from all sides. As he jumped into the air, he charged his fist with his bioelectricity and fired a web-line at the ground. Yanking himself down, he hit the floor with a powerful Venom Smash Punch, electrocuting everyone and sending them flying backward.
This also had the effect of clearing the entire place of smoke.
"Wade!"
The astonished Spider-Man turned his head to the left and gasped as he saw Ochaco standing on a cliff. "Ochaco!" Wade yelled, overjoyed to see her. However, something was off. Why was she exposing herself?
One of Ketsubetsu yelled, "Don't let them escape!" He shot a torrent of high-pressure water at Ochaco.
The gravity-defying girl quickly jumped back from the blast. "Hey, watch where you're shooting–"
Her foot stepped on the edge, causing her to fall off the cliff. As Wade gasped, his body instinctively positioned itself to save his girlfriend. However, he stopped himself when he remembered how her training had allowed Ochaco to make herself float.
"I'll take her out," said a Shiketsu student who resembled a Pokemon.
As the first student launched his rocket hand at Ochaco, another student yelled, "No, wait!"
Suddenly, Wade realized that it wasn't Ochaco. One of the Shiketsu students had transformed their body to look exactly like his girlfriend. However, they lacked the same ability as Ochaco to defy gravity, so their impact with the ground would be painful and could lead to severe injuries.
Still using Battle Focus, Wade launched himself into the air and rocketed towards the fake Ochaco, catching her and preventing her from getting hurt.
"Finally, an opening!" shouted a Shiketsu student. He and several of his classmates stood on top of a tall cliff, ready to tag Wade.
But Wade quickly took care of them by spinning around midair and thrusting a One-for-All powered kick that created a blast of intense, high-pressure air that slammed into the cliff. Destroying it and sending the kids falling to earth. Wade knew he had improved his skills with OFA as a result of his new suit, which gave him more control over his abilities. His ordinary superhuman strength multiplied by a massive factor when he combined the Spider Strength with 100% OFA. His durability may have already adapted to handling the power if he had been bitten by the spider after receiving One-for-All.
When Wade began using OFA, he noticed significant improvements in his body, and he knew his body was rapidly changing. He was becoming more capable of surviving punishments imposed by his given Quirk. Still, until he could catch up with it, he wouldn't use it to its full potential. Wade vows to keep fighting and become stronger to become Spider-Man in his universe.
Taking advantage of his camouflage ability, Wade made himself and the fake Ochaco disappear.
The fake Ochaco was placed on the ground as Wade hid her behind a large rock.
The young hero looked over the edge to determine if the coast was clear. "Alright, we're safe, for now at least," Wade said to the person disguising themself as his girlfriend.
"Thanks so much, Wade. I really messed up back there, huh?" the imposter said, still keeping up the ruse.
"You were outnumbered out there," Wade said. However, knowing she would likely go for the target on his back, Spider-Man turned around. Facing the imposter to confront them. "Oh, and you can stop pretending to be my girlfriend—"
When Wade saw her doing what he predicted, the imposter froze. She'd reached out to try tagging him out by touching the symbol on his back. Wade looked at the imposter with a deadpan expression and shot a web-line at the ball. When it connected, the webhead yanked it out of her hand and caught it.
"Let me guess, Shiketsu, right?" he asked, crossing his arms. "I would say that was a pretty ballsy move you pulled out there, but you really think I'd fall for your little tricks?"
"Wait, what?" The imposter started to sweat a little while their smile dropped slightly.
"Come on, get off it. Ochaco's been training hard with her Quirk to ignore the side effects—if only for a short period of time. Not to mention she's learned to make herself float without getting sick," Wade said, tossing the ball from one hand to another. "You haven't even bothered to use her Quirk, despite being in danger."
The fake Ochaco said nothing to deny his accusations.
"And then there's the fact that you exposed yourself to the enemy without a plan," Wade said, pointing at the imposter. "My girlfriend would never do that. So who are you?"
The imposter remained silent momentarily, with her hair shadowing over her eyes. However, with the jig up, she chuckled. "So why save me, even if you knew I was a fake?" Suddenly, Wade was stunned when the Ochaco disguise began melting into a gray viscous liquid. Covering Camie's body as her voice returned to normal. "Do you have plans to use me?"
Disgusted with how Camie deactivated her Quirk, Wade shook his head and jumped back. "No, it was because you would have seriously hurt yourself, Camie. That's why I did it, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat." Wade declared, getting into a fighting stance. "Your Quirk doesn't allow you to copy her abilities, so you couldn't have floated away."
As Camie gazed at Wade, the gray liquid moved away from her lips and left eye. "Oh, is that right? So you're just that good of a guy, huh?" The woman stood up, still drenched in liquid. "Please tell me more about yourself, Wade. Everything."
In the same way that one villain girl, Toga, gave Wade the willies, Wade was creeped out by this girl. "Look, I'd love nothing more than talking, but can't we just wait until after the exam?"
"But I want to know now. Will you save anybody," asked Camie as more of the gray liquid fell off her curvy body. "Is there no boundary? Where do you draw the line?"
Wade would have answered her honestly…
…if he wasn't distracted by the fact that Camie was completely naked in front of him. She still had some liquid on her, and it covered her nipples and pussy; however, it would only be a matter of time before it fell off, and Camie would be completely bare.
"Holy smoke! Where the hell are your clothes?!" Wade yelled, trying not to gaze down from her face. "At least get some underwear on!"
Camie giggled and raised up her left index finger, revealing a silver claw-ring on it. "I'll get dressed when my mission is complete!"
With lightning speed, Camie swiped Wade's face with her claw. Before she could cut into Wade's mask and draw blood, Wade jumped back.
"Whoa! What the fuck?!" With a kick to the stomach, Wade sent her rolling on the ground after sending her flying backwards. It did not take Camie long to get back on her feet. "Okay, you're officially on the 'No Touching Wade' list, lady!"
"Oh? I thought I already was!" Camie charged at the young man again, intent on drawing blood from him.
However, from Wade's right came a wall of tape. Blocking Camie's assault and putting a barrier between her and Wade.
Camie looked in the direction they came from. "What?!"
"I know that tape!" Wade exclaimed, grinning as he looked in the direction it came from.
"Wade!" Sero yelled as he stood atop a cliff, still shooting his tape. "You lucky bastard, what's got you into this situation?"
"Sero!"
"Uraraka!" Sero shouted at his classmate.
The gravity-defying girl jumped over the tape hero with a back flip. Glaring at the naked girl for showing off her body to her boyfriend. "Release!"
In order to avoid getting hit by Ochaco, Camie simply jumped backwards. As Camie stared at Ochaco, she laughed in amusement, thinking how cute it was that she became frustrated.
"Those reflexes!" Ochaco exclaimed, amazed at how quickly she was able to dodge.
Wade watched Camie backflip up a large boulder, reaching the top. In front of the Heroes-in-Training, the blonde girl sat down and hugged her legs close to her breasts. "And here, things were just getting good. Too bad. I really, really… wanted to talk to you some more, Wade," she said, gazing at Spider-Man with a wanting look in her eyes. "But not with so many people around. What a bummer."
Camie turned her attention to Ochaco.
"Ochaco Uraraka. He really trusts you, you know. I guess it's only natural. You are his girlfriends," she said, much to the brunette's confusion. However, Camie decided to have fun with Wade at another time during the exam. So, she stood up and jumped away. Leaving the group with more questions than answers.
"Wait! Come back, naked girl!" Sero exclaimed, futilely reaching out to her.
"Sero, focus!" Ochaco yelled at him, getting Sero to stop. The gravity girl then turned to Wade and smiled at seeing the boy she loved. "Wade!"
Snapping out of his thoughts, Wade turned his attention to his girlfriend and Sero. "Ochaco? Sero? Is that you?" he said, worried about approaching them. For all he knew, they could also be imposters. They may have been clones created to look like them created by another Shiketsu student.
After sliding down the cliff, Sero walked over to him. "What are you talking about? Of course, it's us," he said as Ochaco ran over to Wade with a smile.
"STOP, or I'll tag you both!" Wade yelled, startling them, as he raised a capture ball. "If you're really Ochaco and Sero, tell me something only you would know!"
Ochaco was shocked for a second, before she tried thinking of something only she would know. "Oh! Remember how we first met? It was in front of the school, and you'd dropped your phone. But that's when I saved it by making it float," she said, blushing when she remembered that moment. A brief moment, but one that led her to the boy she loved most.
Smiling at her for a second, knowing it was his girlfriend, Wade turned to Sero.
"Wha—only I would know?" Sero fumbled his words momentarily before trying to think of something. "Uh, remember when we went to I-Island—when you said you're only going down to the beach alone to do some training? I accidentally stumbled upon you and your girlfriends making out together. They kissed all over you, which was really hot, and—"
Ochaco looked at him in horror and screamed, "YOU SAW THAT!?"
"Okay, stop, stop! It's you," Wade said, blushing brightly. He rushed over to Ochaco, hugged, and kissed her passionately. "Sorry, sorry, I had to make sure. Earlier, that girl transformed into you, baby. So I had to make sure."
It was Wade's expectation that Ochaco would show understanding or relief. That she understood why Wade was so defensive and questioned her and Sero. "Waaaaahhh?!" However, he wasn't expecting his girlfriend to let out an embarrassed scream as she blushed wildly. Sero's visor flipped up to reveal his blushing face too, but it was for a different reason.
The tape boy rushed up to Wade and pulled him away from his girlfriend. "Was she naked then, too, Wade?!" He yelled, shaking him back and forth.
BONK!
"Why would you ask that?! She's my girlfriend!" Wade yelled at Sero with white eyes and sharp teeth. The poor tape boy lay on the ground with a bump on his head. "And no, she had a costume on!"
However, Wade's Spidey Sense went off as a dark aura was felt behind him. "But you still saw her most valued part, right~?" Ochaco said with a sickly sweet smile and a funny look in her eyes. She gave Wade the same look when she caught her boyfriend hanging out with Melissa on I-Island.
"W-What?" Wade yelped in fear as he turned around. "Ochaco, hold on! I didn't see anything. I promise!" He placed one hand over his heart and held the other in the Boy Scout's salute.
"Are you sure~?"
"Yes!"
Moments later, the three of them recomposed themselves and sat together. With the bump still on his head, Sero cleared his throat into his fist. "So that hottie's Quirk is to transform into other people. Weird," he said.
"That's what I saw," Wade said.
"We can't underestimate how much those other schools have learned from us," Sero told the two. "They even know you and Uraraka are boyfriend and girlfriend."
"Yeah, I…kind of let it slip that I was dating Ochaco," Wade said, looking away from his girlfriend in embarrassment. "Anyway, how'd you guys find me?"
"I saw a fight going on and saw your lightning. So I rushed over and joined up with Uraraka."
Ochaco smiled at her boyfriend and pumped her fist. "I'm glad we got to help."
Smiling lovingly at her, Wade nodded. "Me too."
With a fiery determination in her eyes, Ochaco turned her head and looked out at the battlefield. "So, we're a trio now. What's next," she asked the boys.
"I wish we could meet up with the rest of the class," Sero admitted to the couple. "We're way safer in numbers."
"Can't argue with that, but with 30 having already passed the test so far, we have to hurry," Wade told them. He wanted to go out there and find the others and help them pass the test, but doing so would diminish his chances of passing. However, Spider-Man had faith in everyone that they'll make it through to the end. "If we're gonna pass, we've got to get some points of our own."
"Any ideas?" Ochaco looked at Wade in curiosity.
"More examinees have passed. We're at 60 people now. That means there are 40 sports left."
That's not good, Wade thought. They were running out of time. Wade thought for a moment. "Yeah, I've got a plan," he said, smirking under his mask. "We'll take out the group near us. That's how we'll get the points we need to win."
"Really? What are you thinking?" Sero said.
Wade's eyes narrowed a bit. "When I was fighting off those guys, one of them tried to outpace his classmates," he said, remembering what happened. How one of Shiketsu's students tried to attack Camie disgusted as Ochaco. "He was panicking that he wouldn't get enough points in. Since his class attacked as a group, they'll fight each other for targets."
"Oh, so, as people worried, they'll break away from their classmates, and then they'll be at a big disadvantage," Ochaco said, understanding what Wade was saying.
"But wait, why were you so keen on everyone staying together?" Sero questioned the young Spider-Man. "We'd be in the same boat."
Wade sighed and leaned against the boulder behind him. "Well, in the beginning, we were just going after their weak points with the balls, so it's easy to think of this as target practice. And without knowing what our opponent's Quirks were, we were going into this exam blind," he explained to Sero. "However, going after moving targets is not easy or efficient. When I said that I wanted us to stay together, I wanted it so that we trapped enough people for everyone in our class to pass. Then we'd be able to use our balls only after they couldn't move anymore. Our class has a lot of people that excel in restraining groups. So, I kind of thought it wouldn't be any trouble."
Sero nodded. "I see. It's true that if we were to just do target practice, they'd only be able to tell whether or not we were good shots," he said. "There's more to this test than I thought."
"Shh!" Ochaco whispered to the boys. "Does it sound like they're getting closer?" she asked.
This information startled Sero and put Wade on alert. "What should we do?" the tape hero asked.
"We'll have to fight them," Wade said, pulling out one of his web bombs and handing it to Ochaco. "I'll find a group of enemies to tag. All we need are two points to pass. I'll take them out while you guys immobilize them."
Ochaco nodded. "Roger," she said, standing up. "Sero, let's do this."
Sero rubbed his head and groaned. The situation was crazy. He had a greater chance of getting tagged than Spider-Man. Nevertheless, he didn't want to hide and do nothing. Providing Wade and Ochaco with his Quirk was worth the effort. "Alright, fine!"
A moment later, Ochaco glanced at Wade. She knew she trusted him. He had seen them through the worst moments in their history and was always on time. That sentiment was shared by the other girls in love with him.
Spider-Man nodded and turned invisible. "Alright, let's rumble."
"Where is that spider guy?" Shindo said, scanning the horizon. During the past few minutes, he and his classmates have been hunting for Wade, trying to take down their most dangerous foe.
"We should be getting points from other students. Not just take out one guy," protested one of his classmates.
"Think about it," said Shindo, raising a finger. "We're at the final stage of the exam. Our class is split up into two teams going after UA. Right now, everyone is battling everyone else for points."
"Your plan kind of backfired. Your plan didn't really take out any of those kids," said Nakagame, looking at her classmate with a small smile.
"I mean, I know I was rushing, but if you really think about it, this is a pretty good place to be in," Shindo explained to the others as they stopped and gathered together in a crater. It was small but big enough for them to sit in. Providing cover and concealing their presence. "As long as we don't freak out, we can take advantage of the exam's current state and the others' desperation.
"Right now, all anyone can think of is the number of slots left, so they're panicking and no doubt being careless. Burning through stamina. They've got tunnel vision and are focusing on UA, since they have the most intel on them, which means we can lie in wait until the perfect moment to strike. We've basically already passed the test." A creepy, sinister smile started to form on Shindo's face. As if a villainous side of him was taking over, finally letting the mask he had up slip off and revealing his true nature: a very sneaky and calculating person whose personality can change on a whim, sometimes even in an instant.
Nakagame still smiled, but now she was looking at Shindo nervously. "It's about time you stopped pretending to be so nice," she said as the tall young man stood up. "Honestly, you're too sneaky, Yo."
As he smirked malevolently, he told her, "I prefer to be called tactful." His strategy aimed to divide Class 1-A and isolate Wade Walker from the beginning. As a result of his Ultimate move, Tremoring Earth, Shindo managed to achieve this goal. By ganging up on Spider-Man, the League of Villains almost killed him. Therefore, they could tag him out in the same manner. "That's why I want him out. It would show our indomitable spirit if we swoop in at the last minute and put on a good show. Everyone in this exam is trying to live up to their ideals. I respect that, but unfortunately, I wouldn't take it easy on them. It will prove that we are just as good as UA if we eliminate Wade Walker. Having been in the spotlight for months, it is natural to go after him. Since everybody now knows he cannot win against so many opponents, he is the most obvious target. He'll get tired as more people rush him, until he becomes a sitting duck."
"Wanna bet?"
"Huh?"
POW!
Wade appeared out of nowhere and punched Shindo in the face with a Venom Blast! Sending him flying back into a boulder that cracked on impact with his back.
Wade's sudden appearance surprised the other students from Ketsubutsu Academy and caused them to gasp and freak out. They wouldn't have time to counterattack him. Wade's spider legs deployed from his back and struck each of them in the chest, zapping them with volts of electricity that sent them crashing to the crater walls.
"Man, that sure felt satisfying," Wade said, stretching his arms.
Shindo grunted as he sat up again. He glared at Wade with fury in his eyes. How could he have gotten the jump on them? "Are you kidding me?" he yelled, about to stand up and attack him.
Suddenly, Sero appeared and pinned Shindo to the ground with his tape. "If you really think a chump like you would have done that to Wade, you've got another thing coming," he said.
Those in Shindo's group were about to get up as well. However, Ochaco rushed around the edge of the crater, tapping each student, and using gravity to float them in the air. As she threw the web bomb Wade gave her, she yelled, "And his strength and valor inspire us all to be better Heroes!"
All of them were covered in webbing after the bomb exploded in midair.
"Release!" Ochaco yelled, pressing her fingers together.
Four other students were trapped under the webbing when they came crashing to the ground. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to escape. As Shindo's plan fell apart, Ochaco and Sero tagged out his friends. "I admit, your plan was pretty smart," Wade said as he approached him. "You've got a gift when it comes to strategies. Any hero team would be lucky to have you. But do me a favor, and lose the evil smirk. People see it, and they'll think you're a villain."
Gritting his teeth, Shindo glared at Wade, but changed his tone and smirked evilly. "Oh? Don't tell me you're feeling sorry for me," he mocked.
"No, just thought I'd offer you a piece of advice. If you and your friends have indomitable spirits, then you wouldn't let this stop you. Try again; if it doesn't work out, do it again," said Wade, kneeling down as he smiled at Shindo. "Now I know that it's not going to mean all that much because I have to tag you out, but just remember that the fight's not over until you say it is."
Shindo's face dropped the sinister look he previously had. He looked at him with a scowl. However, Shindo stopped struggling and allowed Wade to press all his targets with his ball. "You know you still need one more person to pass, right?"
"Yeah, but I'll make it," Wade said. He then pulled the webbing off his enemy, much to his surprise. To add to the surprises, Wade offered him a hand to get up. "Oh, and another bit of advice: Never try to bury me alive, unless you know I stay dead."
Shindo chuckled as he took Wade's hand. Allowing the much stronger younger year to pull him up before standing on his own two feet. "Well, keep that in mind," he said as Ochaco and Sero freed his friends. The group of defeated students gathered together and started walking away. Leaving Class 1-A's students.
"Alright, now get out of here because it's about to get ugly. And that includes you two," Wade said, turning to Ochaco and Sero. Both of their targets had changed colors and were now blue. "That includes the two of you."
"What?" Ochaco asked, looking at her boyfriend in confusion.
"You guys have all the points you need. I still need one more, then I'll join you guys at the anteroom," Wade explained. An explosion in the distance brought their attention back to their surroundings. Wade would undoubtedly have groups of enemies to fight to get his last point. "Which wouldn't take long."
Still visibly worried, Ochaco had total faith in her boyfriend to succeed. If anyone could pass this exam, it was him. Still, she approached him and kissed him on the lips. The kiss was brief, but Ochaco ensured it held the love and affection she felt for the young man.
"You better come back," she said after pulling away from the kiss.
Wade smirked at his gravity-defying girlfriend. "I plan to."
The two pulled away from each other, and Ochaco started running for the anteroom. Sero sighed and slumped his shoulders a bit. "Sure, I'm just the three-wheel. No one really pays attention to me," he grumbled. He, too, turned and ran to the anteroom.
Now alone, Wade turned around. He saw the Shiketsu High group he'd fought standing pieces of broken earth towering over him. All ready to take the young man down.
"Alright. Who's first?" Wade asked, holding a capture ball in his right hand.
"So, you're going to stand and fight?" said one of the opposing Hero-in-training. He had one target that was already hit. "You're just one kid against all of us."
Wade threw his ball and hit him in the target pad on his turning it red. Spider-Man then shot a web-line at the ball and pulled it back to him. Catching it with his left hand.
"All I need is to tag one of you," Wade said, his mask's right eye raising an eyebrow.
In response to Wade's challenge, the students ran towards him, eager to tag him and take him down. If only they knew that they wouldn't have that chance.
Meanwhile, Aizawa was still sitting with Ms. Smile and Mirko. While the two women talked and joked (done mainly by Joke), the Erasure Hero had spent most of the test trying to see where at least one of his students was. The chaotic nature of the games and the scattering of his students made it difficult to know where they were. However, to add to his frustration, there was no way of knowing who had passed and who was tagged out.
"Anyone want some gum?" Joke said, offering a stick of gum from the packaging.
Mirko looked at the packet and her college with an exasperated expression. "Really," she asked. The way she offered the stick of gum from the packaging instead of just giving it to her made her think it was a classic zapping gum prank. "You have to do better than that."
"Suit yourself." Ms. Joke pulled out the gum and ate it. Seeing that she was wrong and that the Smile Hero had played her caused Mirko to sigh and facepalm.
"I hate this. It's frustrating that we can't tell who passes and fails in real-time," Aizawa said, glaring at the arena with his arms crossed.
"And Shindo only made it worse by splitting the ground open," Ms. Joke said, chewing on her gum. "Now it's hard to see anything."
Scoffing, Mirko looked at Aizawa with a raised eyebrow. "Are you actually worried? That's a first."
He did not respond to her, but did see a flash of brilliant bright lightning coming from one corner of the arena. At first, he thought it was Kaminari. However, a figure wearing a red and blue costume emerged from the dust cloud. It didn't take him long to realize it was Wade, running from the anteroom to join the others.
Aizawa thought about how long it took him to get his points. No doubt, having run into trouble to get them. Even so, in his mind, he knew that Daniel's son would have won this exam. There was never a doubt in his mind that the young Spider-Man would have succeeded.
"There's something I've realized after watching my students; in school and in the field. They might not have realized it, but in Class 1-A, there's one person whose spirit has the biggest impact on them," he told both women, who turned to the tired-looking man.
"You're talking about Walker, right," asked Ms. Joke.
Aizawa nodded, thinking about the Sports Festival. That was when the young man's strength in both body and spirit was fully displayed for the world to see. Wade's words and his actions inspired his classmates. Pushing them to be better heroes and rise to the challenge. More so than the teacher could have imagined. Aizawa saw how the young man changed the lives of those around him, like Todoroki and Shinso. Going above and beyond for people he'd just met and even those who treated him poorly, like Kota.
"Wade may be rebellious, stubborn, and a little too mouthy for my taste. He may not see himself as a leader, and he may not get along with some of the others. But, before I knew it, his passion and words spread to the rest of his peers," Aizawa said, thinking back to the words Wade would say to those who needed his help. "'With great power, there must come great responsibility.' I couldn't have said it better. But it's not just his words that touch their hearts. Every time there's some kind of major event, that boy is at the center of it. All the adversity he's dealing with will make him a better hero.
"I'm not worried, Joke. It's the opposite, actually. I can't wait to see the kind of Hero he'll become. Or maybe, I'm looking at it right now. Even if Wade isn't with the others, his presence raises the standards for the entire class."
"You've fallen for them hard, huh? It's kinda gross," Joke said, blowing a bubble.
"I'm honored to have him and the others as my students."
Wade made it to the anteroom and pulled off his mask when he saw Ochaco and Sero waiting for him outside the entrance. Among them were Bakugo, Kaminari, and Kirihima. And just arriving from their own battle were Iida, Aoyama, Mina, Kota, Ojiro, Mineta, Hagakure, Sato, and Tokoyami.
Unbeknownst to those outside, Todoroki, Momo, Tsuyu, Jiro, and Shoji were inside the anteroom. All waiting for the others to make it after passing earlier in the test.
With a grin, Wade ran to join them. The Heroes of Tomorrow had completed the first part of the exam.
"...my Class 1-A."
AN: Come on, we all know that Wade passed the exam. Let's not beat around the bushes. Our boy was no doubt gonna win. This takes inspiration from that one animated Mortal Kombat movie. Mortal Kombat: Scorpion's Revenge.
We all know the scene.
Demon: There are thousands of us. And only one of you.
(Gets decapitated.)
Scorpion: Minus one.
We all knew our boy Hanzo would win, and we all knew that Wade would pass, so why draw out the chapter more?
Back to the story, and this was a fun one to write with all the interactions with the opposing schools, and Wade is really starting to become a real Spider-Man with all the quips he makes. Not to mention all the fights and battles he had to go through to avoid getting tagged. Also, we got an Avengers moment in the story. You're welcome, readers.
Wade vs. "Camie" was a lot of fun to do. It reminded me a bit of Spider-Man's fights with Black Cat, given how seductive both girls are towards the hero. Because of his Spidey Senses, Wade could easily avoid her, and his webbing allowed him to trap "Camie." And the inclusion of the webbing meant that I had to include something that would allow her to break free but couldn't give her a knife. So, instead, I remembered those claw things the lady ninjas had in Mortal Kombat 11 and thought they would totally fit Toga.
Speaking of which, I've got a list of the Similarities between Mha and Marvel villains. Courtesy of a friend. After all, each Spider-Man has versions of the same villains.

Back to the story, taking out Shindo and his little group was mostly because…well, there's nothing really to do with him? He's a character that makes a big impression in the canon story, but hardly does anything afterwards. So, might as well take him out right then and there.
And that's pretty much it for the story so far. Across the Spider-Verse has really got me in the mood for Spider-Man, and the new game will only add to that. Making me think of some new ideas and conceptions. Like, what if Wade was not so much a variant of Spider-Man, but of Izuku Midorya, who just so happened to get the spider powers from a universe in the Spider-Verse. Meaning that Wade would have come from a multiverse called the Deku-Verse. XD
Sounds dumb, and I'm mostly joking, but hey, it could happen. Multiverse plots are just weird like that. Plus, it could give Wade and Izuku a chance to meet.
And speaking of the plot, I'll be doing original arcs in this part of the story. The Shie Hassaikai Arc will remain the same, but new arcs will replace others.
An arc I like to call the Cold Heart Arc will replace the plot and villains of the School Festival Arc. This will then lead into the Into the Spider-Verse Arc. The Hero-Hunter: Beast Arc, which will be about Daniel, will happen during the Pro Hero Arc.
The movie Heroes: Rising will occur during the Meta Liberation Army Arc. And the Endeavor Agency Arc will mainly be about World Heroes' Mission.
And then Across the Spider-Verse will happen after that arc. As for Beyond the Spider-Verse, we'll have to wait to see where I'll place it, because it could bleed into the Paranormal Liberation War Arc.
So many new ideas, and I'm so excited to share them all with you.
See you next time.
