(Charlotte and Patrick)

*October 16th, 1941*

*Central Park*

Charlotte was sitting on one of the benches as she waited for her father which made her feel nervous yet excited in regards to the situation.

"I hope that my emotions don't get the best of me but I'm also a rather calm person so I shouldn't have too much trouble or anything.." Charlotte had spoken quietly to herself as she looked over to see Anya and Emma sitting on the benches that weren't too far from her as they were supporting their loved one as Charlotte heard a voice which belonged to her father.

"Well, I didn't expect you to actually come here but It's nice to see you on this beautiful day.." Patrick had spoken out to his daughter while he had a smile on his face as he sat next to Charlotte.

"Hello, father. I didn't expect you to show up as well, how's your week been coming along? I can assume you're still going to San Francisco, right?" Charlotte had greeted her father as she looked down on the ground before turning her direction to Patrick as he nodded his head in confirmation.

"Yes, I've been thinking about this for a while and I just can't see myself living with you and Sarah, I just came here to see how you guys were doing so I hope you can understand this…" Patrick had answered back in a tone of disappointment as this made Charlotte nod her head in understandment.

"I can't stop you so just do whatever makes you happy but I do at least appreciate that you wanted to see us but my main question is that why didn't you ever return? Why did you never support me and my mother during times of hardship? Why?" Charlotte had spoken out to her father in her tone of a mixture of disappointment and bitterness as Patrick could do nothing but explain everything to his daughter about the situation.

"Honestly, I never returned was due to my art career taking off, Once I've learned the basics regarding my passion, I was pretty much busy for most of the time such as doing paintings for people, traveling to places like Paris, London, and other beautiful places so I never got the chance to visit you guys and as for support, I've discovered that your mother had managed to find a good job so I just assumed that you and Sarah had a good income but I know that's still not an excuse to at least pitch in once in a while…" Patrick had answered back while Charlotte nodded her head in understandment as she began to speak once more.

"Oh yeah, you did wrote letters to my mom so she had probably sent you one telling you or maybe you was stalking us but I just want to make peace with you so that we won't leave on bad terms or anything" Charlotte had spoken back as she had taken a locket from her pocket which made her father curious as he raised an eyebrow.

"A locket? Who gave it to you?" Patrick asked his daughter in a polite tone of voice as he was met with a nod of confirmation from his daughter.

"It's from someone I truly love and her name is Emma. She's my girlfriend. I've already told mom about this but I'm gay meaning that I only have feelings for women sooo yeah.." Charlotte had answered back while showing her father a photo of her and Emma as this made Patrick smile.

"I know, I saw the exact same photo of you and Emma while I was at your house. I just didn't want to say anything but it doesn't bother me one bit and all I care for is that you are happy" Patrick had spoken back as this made Charlotte smile rather warmly.

"Thanks, That truly means a lot to me. Even if you don't come back into our lives, I can at least know that you support and accept me" Charlotte had spoken back while Patrick nodded his head.

"Of course, you're my daughter and I'm gonna always support whatever makes you happy but I know I've been a shitty father and I'll admit to that and, I'm just sorry for everything…" Patrick had spoken back to his daughter in an apologetic tone of voice as he was met with a hug from Charlotte.

"Y-You're forgiven..I truly mean that as well. I know you are not the best father but I also can't hold grudges as well.." Charlotte had responded back as tears flowed down from her eyes as Patrick hugged her back while Anya and Emma watched with smiles on their faces as they saw the pair release each other from the hug.

"Charlotte, are you sure about this? You don't have to forgive me for what I've done. I've been such a terrible father and husband.." Patrick had asked his daughter in a tone of curiosity and also sadness while waiting for his answer.

"I'm sure and you're right. You are a terrible father to me and a terrible husband to my mother and I should not have forgiven you, however, I'm also not a fan of holding grudges as well since It's not in my character…" Charlotte had answered back in a stern tone of voice while wiping some tears from her eyes as this made Patrick smile with confidence.

"I truly appreciate your honesty, however, I also must take my leave now but I don't wanna leave you nor Sarah without any gifts.." Patrick had spoken back to his daughter while he proceeded to take a piece of paper out from his pocket as he handed it to Charlotte which made the young girl curious.

"It's directions to the art gallery? Did you leave me and mother something there?..." Charlotte asked her father while observing the paper which had directions to the destination as she looked up to see Patrick nodding his head in confirmation.

"Correct, It's a painting that I did of you and your mother. It should be ready by now but that gift is my parting gift and a little thanks for giving me a somewhat second chance" Patrick had answered back as he was once again hugged by Charlotte which made him smile.

"Thank you, I'll retrieve the gift with my friends as soon as possible.." Charlotte thanked her father as she and Patrick hugged each other for the final time as it was now time for Patrick to depart.

"Goodbye Charlotte, It was a pleasure seeing you once more. You have truly grown to be a wonderful young girl and that makes me proud of you and Sarah…" Patrick had spoken out while fighting tears from his eyes as Charlotte smiled warmly.

"Goodbye father, I could say the same thing as well. I know we have our differences but I do respect and appreciate you for at least trying to better yourself so that makes me happy" Charlotte had responded back to the farewells as she saw Patrick turning the other direction as he walked away, however, he stopped once more to say one last thing.

"Oh, your friend and girlfriend were watching us the whole time, they seem to be very wonderful people by coming to support you, always cherish them, okay?" Patrick had spoken to his daughter once more as he waved Charlotte goodbye as he walked away before eventually disappearing from the scene.

"Charlotte, how did it go? Did things go well for you and Patrick" Anya had spoken out as she and Emma walked over to check on their loved one as they were met with Charlotte nodding her head in confirmation which made Anya and Emma happy.

"Really?! I'm glad to hear that! I knew that things were gonna go your way!" Emma had cried out to Charlotte in joy as she gave her girlfriend a warm and tight hug.

"It was truly thanks to you guys for helping me throughout the way, I would have never done it without both of your support.." Charlotte spoke back as she felt a huge weigh releasing from her chest as her next goal was to retrieve the gift that her father left her.

"Friend, pumpkin. Do you both wanna come with me to the art gallery? My father left me a gift there…" Charlotte had asked her friends as Anya and Emma both nodded their heads in excitement.

"Of course, you know we're not gonna say no to that offer" Anya had answered back as this made Charlotte smile as she, Anya, and Emma proceeded to make their way towards the art gallery to retrieve the gift.

*10:26pm*

Charlotte was laying down as she was ready to go to sleep as she looked over to see the painting of her and her mother which made her smile.

"Today was rather a good day. I had lunch with my friends and even made peace with my father. I gotta give Mary all the updates about the situation as well.." Charlotte had spoken quietly to herself as she continued to lay in her bed before eventually falling asleep with a peaceful mind and heart which were very important things that Charlotte has always cherished.
