*Glen Cove, New York*
*Miller Manor*
It was a beautiful sunny day as Anya arrived at Judith's home which she found to be quite the sight.
"Wow, your home is quite beautiful. I can't believe your father owns half of this land. No wonder why you guys are so rich" Anya spoke out to Judith with a smile as she observed the huge manor with great interest while Judith nodded in agreement.
"I know. I bet you wish that you and your family were as rich as us. We could have been friends but you've chosen to steal Calvin away from me so.." Judith spoke out in a smug voice as she walked towards the door along with Anya as she began to speak.
"But I tried to be nice but you insulted me because of my social status and you insulted my friends as well. That was wrong of you" Anya spoke back to Judith with a concerned look on her face as this was met with Judith laughing at her.
"I did. I don't regret it at all. You should have never talked to Calvin but here we are.."Judith spoke back while Anya sighed to herself in annoyance this was followed by Judith opening the door to reveal the inside of the manor.
The foyer had high ceilings adorned by intricate plaster moldings and a sweeping staircase with a decorative banister leading to the upper floors with a lavish chandelier that cast a warm glow.
"This should be the ultimate privilege that I'm allowing you to even step foot inside of the manor but make yourself at home. You are my guest after all.." Judith spoke out to Anya while walking over to the living room area to sit down on the couch which was followed by Anya doing the same thing as suddenly, an old voice called out to them.
"Good Afternoon, Miss Miller. It seems you have a guest with you on this wonderful afternoon. Would you and the guest care for some refreshments?" The Butler asked Judith in a polite voice and this was met with the young girl nodding her head while smiling.
"Of course, and be sure to sweeten my tea as well, okay? I want this task done in less than five minutes.." Judith advised her butler in a rather stern voice as the old butler nodded in an understanding way before walking over towards the kitchen to prepare the teas.
"You guys have a butler?! That's amazing. Sometimes I wish I had a butler but I would rather just do things at my own pace." Anya spoke to Judith with amazement in her voice while Judith smiled back.
"I know. Are you feeling jealous now? You should be but let's discuss ways of being a proper lady, okay? Your only job is to not embarrass me in front of these people" Judith spoke back to Anya with a confident voice while looking over to see her butler handing her and Anya the tea and some cookies on a plate.
"Here's your tea, Miss Miller. I hope that you and the lady enjoy yourselves and also, Mr Neville and your friends will be arriving in a few hours as well." The Butler spoke out to Judith with a polite voice while Judith smiled back.
"Thank you. I won't be needing your services for the time being so you could carry along now." Judith spoke back to her butler in a rather polite voice while gently motioning her hand this sent the old man walking away to leave the girls in privacy.
"Where is Neville, by the way? He's usually with you these days so I'm curious to know his whereabouts" Anya asked Judith in a curious tone while taking a bite from the cookies as she waited for an answer.
"He's with Megan and Lisa and they were just shopping for supplies for the Winter Ball but they should be here any moment now so don't get all worried for them" Judith spoke out before sipping on her tea while observing Anya as if a predator is observing their prey while Anya remained seated.
"I see. I'm also assuming the talk with your father went well, right? I know he doesn't like me but I just hope I can show him that I'm not a bad person or whatever he thinks of me" Anya spoke out to Judith once more with curiosity while this was met with Judith nodding in confirmation.
"I did and let me tell you. He wasn't fond of inviting you and neither was i but he eventually gave in once I brought up that this was all Calvin's idea and he found the idea of me and you making up to be rather interesting despite me only doing this for Calvin's sake…" Judith responded before getting up from the couch as she reached her hand out to Anya with a smile on her face.
"Let's head to my room, shall we? We have plenty to go over with so we don't wanna waste time" Judith spoke out once more as she saw Anya accepting her hand with a smile on her face.
"J-Judith. I've never seen you treat me this way before. Are you sure it's not because you plan on doing something bad to me, I'm unsure.." Anya spoke out rather nervously while getting up from the couch as she waited for an answer from Judith.
"Don't get too comfortable. I'm only showing you how to become a proper lady and this is the first of many lessons. Taking the guest's hand is proper etiquette so don't forget it, okay?" Judith responded in a stern voice while Anya nodded in an understanding way.
"O-Okay. I'll keep that in mind, Judith.." Anya spoke back while Judith smiled at the response as both girls began to walk the stairs that lead to Judith's room which was located at the far right.
"I can't believe I'm doing this but it's for Calvin and nobody else but without further ado. Welcome to my room, Anya.." Judith spoke out to Anya while opening the door to reveal a huge and fancy room which surprised Anya greatly.
Judith's room was rich in pink with a sense of Victorian style as there were many self-portraits of herself and some of her family. There were also many couches and tables set in the center with her bed being on the side.
"Wow, you have such a nice room. I wish I had something like this back at home.." Anya spoke out in awestruck as she walked around to observe the room while Judith smiled.
"It's beautiful, right? I know that you are jealous right now but you just gotta accept that you will never achieve something like this.." Judith spoke back while sitting on her couch as her words struck a nerve with Anva who had a serious look on her face.
"Come on Judith. Don't start this. I don't want any further trouble between us so please don't insult my social status" Anya advised Judith while crossing her arms as this was met with Judith laughing at this.
"It's true! Don't get mad at the facts when you know damn well it's true.." Judith spoke back while getting up to get closer to Anya which caused her to back up for a bit.
"Well, you were born with wealth and richness. So you mostly have it easy and that doesn't give you the right to insult people based on their social status.." Anya spoke back in a stern voice while backing up to a wall with Judith staring at her with a smile.
"I know but if you want me to be nice to you then I will. First of all, I like your hairstyle and it's kinda cute.." Judith spoke back to Anya as she looked over to her side and blushed embarrassingly while Anya was surprised at her comment.
"T-Thank you. I got it done with the inspiration of Clara Bow and she means a lot to me as well…" Anya spoke back as she could feel herself growing more hot due to how close Judith was to her.
"A-And you seem to be a strong girl as well while I'm kinda bitchy at times so I-I can kinda see why Calvin could be into you.." Judith spoke out once more while still blushing in embarrassment as Anya watched the events that were unfolding.
"J-Judith.." Anya uttered as she felt her chin gently being lifted by Judith which caused Anya to blush as both of their eyes met.
"It's true, I'm somewhat jealous of that but that's not the point. The point is that I'm being nice to you, right? You also have pretty eyes.." Judith spoke back to Anya in a soft voice as both girls continued to stare each other in the eyes for a few seconds before Judith quickly reverted to her usual self as she smiled.
"And that's all the nice things I have to say about you so don't expect me to ever do that again, okay?" Judith advised Anya as she finally walked over to sit on her bed which allowed Anya to finally get out from being pinned to the wall.
"T-Thanks and I knew you had some kindness in you and it's just gonna take time but if Calvin intends for us to make up then I want to make the best out of it" Anya spoke to Judith with a smile while sitting down on a couch that was across from the bed as she faced Judith.
"As if I'm ever gonna become friends with you! I'm only doing this for Calvin and also to prove that me and you will NEVER become friends.." Judith spat back while glaring at Anya in an annoyed way as it was clear that the girl was back to her usual self.
"Whatever you say but I also want this pointless drama between us to be over with as well so don't expect me to give up that easily" Anya retaliated back while both girls glared at each other as it seemed that Judith's feud with Anya wasn't gonna end anytime soon.
