Before waking Harriette Sun made sure that Kreacher had clothes and a bag. Incase he chose to move around or even travel outside the pizzaplex. Sun didn't know much about house elves though so maybe that wasn't an option.

Harriette woke early and ate breakfast with Kreacher, and Sun. Kreacher ate with her, uncomfortably, Sun couldn't eat but he still sat with them and they all talked about the plan for the day. Harriette would play with her friends in the daycare, Kreacher would spend the afternoon writing, and Sun of course would have to watch the daycare but the father and daughter seemed to enjoy just talking together.

"I'm glad you seem to be healed already," Sun said, booping Harriette's nose, the girl giggled, before nodding.

"Yeah, I heal real fast," Harriette said. "Probably 'cause of my freak powers."

"Not freak, witch," Kreacher said, at the same time that Sun said.

"I already said not to say that word anymore," Sun ruffled her hair as he chastised. "Thank you, Kreacher. I hope breakfast was alright?" Kreacher nodded.

"It was probably the best full meal Kreacher has had ever," Kreacher said.

The Raywoods arrived even earlier than usual, almost before anyone had even opened up. Nova offered a glasses case to Harriette as she and Mayla had been greeting each other. Harriette had excepted nervously at first. Sun was concerned that they might not be the right prescription but was reassured. Harriette squeaked as she put them on. Looking around with an amazed expression on her face before she burst into tears, and thanking Nova.

"I've never seen so good ever," She sobbed. The group comforted her. Kreacher even peared out, panicked, before getting the girls watery grin and a gesture at her glasses that reassured him.

The rest of the day in the daycare went by as it always did. Harriette played with her friends and Sun and Moon kept watch. Kreacher wrote.

Time ticked on to the end of the evening, and soon, the last ones there were Harriette and the Raywoods. Normally it was Emelia, but the Raywoods had stayed later, in order to pass along the things they'd gathered for Sun, Moon, Harriette and Kreacher.

"Alright," Bram said, dusting his hands off as they waved the last child out of the room. "How should we do this?"

"We brought all kinds of things!" Mayla said, bouncing in place.

"We brought some additional furnishings, mostly for organization," Nova said, "Clothes, and a few toys, but…" Nova looked to the camera over the railing by the check in stand which Sun had already adjusted to not show what they were doing. There was only Harriette and Mayla with four adults supervising them; they were surely safe. Mayla's bouncing became even more ecstatic.

"We brought so, so, so many cool things!" she said.

"The camera's won't show too much," Sun said.

"Good," Nova said. "I'd like to make sure the clothes fit Harriette properly. So, I wanted to do some stitching." Harriette nodded nervously, but managed a shy smile. Sun could tell she was excited about it. Though maybe she didn't know what had her so excited. Sun ruffled her hair.

"I'll go get Kreacher," Harriette said. "Mayla said that-... Um…" She shifted nervously.

"Don't worry, Mayla told us all about the situation," Bram said. Harriette gave a relieved sigh as she smiled.

"Alright, I'll be right back!" Harriette said.

"Alright," Bram said. Harriette disappeared, Sun's sensors noted a series of small, almost imperceptible tells.

"It's impressive that she's so good at that," Bram said. "Normally one needs to be much older to even learn how to do that. Though I suppose her upbringing would have increased the need for some form of escape." Sun wasn't even sure what the noise he made was meant to convey. Harriette arrived with Kreacher. Sun was pretty glad he'd been able to convince Kreacher to start wearing some of the clothes Sun had still had around. Though it was just basic shorts and a t-shirt it was better than nothing.

"Hello ma'am, sir," Kreacher said. Harriette kept hold of his hand to reassure him.

"Hello," Nova said, a little taken aback. "Mayla told us about your situation, but I hope you won't mind answering a few questions."

"That would be fine ma'am," Kreacher said, patting Harriette's hand and then he followed Nova and Bram over toward the security desk to talk.

"Nova, it's okay. He is free, and is helping our grandchild. It's okay" Bram said, his voice low and calm knowing fulwell how this could upset her.

"Um…how…would…?" Nova said, trying to calm down. Bram smiled at least she was not reliving the past.

"Do you want to stay a free elf, or would you like a contract that will have you protected but still with Harriette? We can help with that, if you want." Bram said, a kind smile on his face.

"Kreacher is- Kreacher will think about it," Kreacher said. "Kreacher was told by Moon that these things are important for Kreacher to think about now that he is a free elf. Thank you for your concern though."

"We have a written one if you would like to look it over. Nothing on it is filled out. Sorry about that I am not used to these talks," Nova said, pulling out a folder.

"Where is Aspen when we need her, Bram?" Nova said, hoping the woman would appear like she used to. Nova excused herself so Bram and Kreacher could go over everything written and add more as needed.

"Kreacher would like that very much," Kreacher said. Mayla had been showing Harriette some of the toys that they'd brought for her. A lot of them were kind of older styled or home made which was good since the few newer things Harriette refused almost entirely.

"Harriette these were literally grabbed for you," Mayla said. "They were donated for kids like you."

"Then they should be given to other kids like me too," Harriette said. Even some of the older ones were refused.

"You can consider them belated birthday presents," Nova said joining the girls. Harriette frowned.

"I- I don't know when my birthday is," Harriette admitted. Moon had learned late one night after a nightmare.

"You don'- they didn't even tell you your birthday?" Nova asked. Harriette shook her head. Nova nodded. Nova sighed. "Alright. Well, we missed it this year, but we're still celebrating it. I can't believe that man didn't even think about that either." Harriette shot to her feet.

"I don't need that!" Harriette said. "We-I."

"I want to celebrate it too," Sun said. "Can't we, please." Sun knew that it was best to explain they wanted to celebrate Harriette.

"I want to too," Mayla said, she'd been stunned silent for several seconds, an unusual occurrence when Mayla wasn't too tired to think of something to say. But it seemed that she'd gotten her voice back. "If your going to celebrate I want to too! You gotta let me!-" She was going to continue doubtlessly. She'd clasped Harriette's hands with hers and was begged.

"Would celebrating it make you too uncomfortable?" Nova asked. Harriette looked between everyone. Before looking to Sun and by extension Moon, she seemed to make up her mind, but was too uncomfortable facing anyone for the rest of the talk.

"It's just that everyone's already doing so much for me," Harriette said. "I don't want to be a bother." She admitted.

"Thank you for telling us, I know it was hard, so I really appreciate you hard work," Sun said, rubbing her back.

"But we're the ones who want to celebrate you, and we're the ones who brought this stuff for you," Mayla said. "We didn't have to, you didn't ask, we wanted too? Why can't we do nice things for you?" Sun patted Mayla's back.

"Sometimes after hard times it's even harder to accept others' kindness." Sun explained.

"Why?" Mayla asked. Sun sighed. Not how to explain.

"I wasn't allowed to want stuff," Harriette explained. "I wasn't allowed to need stuff either." Harriette said more informatively.

"That's stupid," Mayla said, pulling Harriette under her arm protectively. Harriette seemed grateful for the shield. Sun smiled, ruffling Mayla's hair, as way of combination thanks and approval.

"Alright, since we've discussed this lets look through the clothing now," Nova said. Harriette nods nervously. Sun was glad, Harriette had some clothes but Sun wanted Harriette to have more options than just a week's worth of clothing. It might also encourage her to change clothes more than once. Nova started pulling clothing out and piling them up. Mayla started bouncing in front of the pile. Kreacher and Bram came over once more to join them, and the two seemed to help pull things from the bag. Kreacher and seemed to be able to speed up the process with magic. Pulling the things from the bag and floating them into the piles. Nova turned to her ever present bag and started pulling out a sewing kit and other tools. Harriette started bouncing on her toes leaning forward, but she stayed out of the circle. Sun offered his hand to her and she took it, then they joined the group together.

Mayla bounced back to Harriette to tug her more toward the piles. Harriette shifted uncomfortably.

"Are you sure none of these fit you? They were your mummies clothes, right?" Harriette asked.

"Yeah, but I too tall and round to fit any of them, and it'll be nice to see them," Mayla said, thoughtful. "I always wondered how Mommy would have dressed at our age, but nobody in the pack is able to fit any of them. Werewolves tend to be bigger or too skinny, and all… hunched." Mayla said. "They come to us all sickly and stuff 'cause the rest of magic society makes them take poison."

"Oh?" Harriette said.

"So, nobody can were these anyways so, you should," Mayla said.

"If it makes you feel better I can pick out a few things that I think will look cute on you so you don't have to make a discision your not comfortable with," Sun assured her.

"I-Okay, that- that does make me feel better," Harriette said.
"Yay!" Mayla said. Sun picked up one of the dresses, the clothes were sorted by article type. It was a light red, not quite landing in pink but closing. Sun held it up and turned forewords and backwards it was fairly plain, no particular adorments. Sun wasn't versed in fashion enough to know much else about it. But it was simple enough to add embellishments, Sun noted a small tag. He checked to see the girl's were looking through some other articles, Mayla was holding up a pair of plain jeans, there was only one grass stain on the back side it was so small.

"These are some of the nicer clothes," Nova said, at the panicked expression Harriette shot her. "Feel free to add the embroidery on the more plain clothing if you want," Nova said. "Especially that dress. I don't think she ever actually wore that one." Nova said. "It might even still have the tags." She added, Sun turned it to show that it did have them.

"Won't some other kid want it, or you could sell it or put to- to-" Harriette said.

"Harriette?" Nova said gently. The girl looked to her. "We want to give you these clothes." She said firmly. "If you don't want it, then and only then will we consider selling these." Nove paused. "Understand?" Harriette swallowed nodding.

"Now, don't think about lying about if you like something because you think it'll sell well," Nova said. "We can smell lies remember." She tapped her nose. Harriette swallowed before nodded again.

"It's okay," Sun said. "We can sort through the things you like to save space if your worried about taking too much, but personally the bigger the space you fill the better." Sun booped her nose, and she smiled.

"Daddies kisses," Harriette said, soft enough that Sun was sure no one else was supposed to hear, then gestured for him to lean closer. He did and she kissed his cheek. "Daughter kisses." She whispered. Something about it, making her tear up in the way that only truly delighted people do. She sniffled, before turning back to look at the dress. "Maybe?" She said this for everyone.

"What about mine?" Mayla said holding up a new clothing item. As soon as the dress had been set aside Mayla had added the plain jeans to that pile, and instantly picked up another article.

Even Sun and Moon were hard pressed to tell if it was magic or just speed. It was a shirt that had a weird argyle pattern, and was honestly a set of garish colors. Harriette made a soft displeased expression but didn't seem to want to say anything. Mayla tossed the shirt.

"Nope!" Before picking up another shirt. Tie dye, long sleeve, t-shirt. "This one?" Harriette made a very serious judging face, but didn't seem to know exactly what to feel about the article. "Maybe." She tossed it in the with; not-quite-pink dress and the lightly stained jeans. Mayla picked up a dark blue shirt with a shiny gold sun image on it, Harriette's face lit up and she bounced, Sun couldn't help but think it was too cute as she turned between Sun and Mayla nodding as Mayla turned the shirt around. "Noted! And Yup." She put it in a new pile. Much more careful than the other shirts.

"And this one?" Nova asked, holding up a ruffled skirt a shade of reds, pinks and yellows. It kind of looked like a flower. Harriette looked seriously for a long moment before shrugging. Mayla took it and ran to the maybe pile, before trying for another shirt, but Bram yanked up a pair of pants.

"Rats," Mayla said. Harriette giggled before looking tot he pants. It was another pair of simple jeans but this one had embroidered flowers on it, she titled her head.

"I allowed to touch it?" Harriette asked.

"You're allowed to touch them whether you decide you want them or not," Bram said. Harriette nodded. Feeling, then picking up the pant legs, face growing more disgusted with each movement, before she shook her head. Bram tossed them into the no pile, before reaching for another pair of pants, Mayla and Nova had already pulled up a another set of articles.

"Oh," he said, snapping, pretending to be disappointed. Harriette snort giggled, and Mayla squealed. Moon checked to make sure no unwanted guests would come. Fortunately the closest security was Todd.

"Which of us pulled first?" Mayla said.

"Oh, no, Sun is playing too he can't be an impartial judge," Nova said, and Mayla gasped,

"Oh!" Mayla said. "Harriette, which pulled them first?" Harriette thought for a moment, looking between them. Before shrugging. Looking to the two clothing articles. The skirt, or skort in this case was a plain deep blue. The shirt was dark red.

"Yes to the skirt, no to the shirt," Harriette said thoughtfully. "I don't think I like dark red looks like blood." She shuddered.

"Noted." Bram snapped his fingers. The bits of darker red fabric disappeared back into the bags with a little bit of shuffling. Sun was shuffling through the dress pile. He could already tell some of them were 'no's' just by looking at them himself. Some were a little too long, or too wide, others were too scratchy, or rough. Kids clothes should be comfortable and light, easy to move and play in. Some were just not the kind of thing he thought Harriette would like, he still decided he'd ask her about those ones, she could surprise him.

"Oh! This is cute!" Sun said, he'd picked it up to look at it a little better. It was the same dark blue as Moon, and the little butterflies flying from the side the same color as his stars. It was perfect. He hoped Harriette would think so too.

"Oh! Yeah, it's great!" Harriette said. Sun smiled down.

"I was almost worried you weren't gonna play with us," Mayla said. "You missed so many rounds. Like you weren't even trying to play." She teased, but there was the tiniest edge of annoyance. Sun would have smiled affectionately at that. He ruffled her hair.

"I was trying to win by picking stuff I knew she'd like," Sun teased back.

"No fair, the rest of us have to guess," Mayla giggled, shoving his hand away in a way that said she wasn't actually bothered by the contact.

"I won the speed game at least," Bram said, lifting the last pair of pants. These had little star patterns on them. "Oh, I think these were something she actually bought when she was pregnant. Back when she thought you'd be as small as her."

"Oh," Mayla said. "Yeah. It makes sense that Mommy thought I was gonna be small, daddies not that big either."

"Are you sure you want me to have 'em?" Harriette asked.

"Oh, yeah, I got loads of stuff from my Mommy," Mayla said, brushing off the concern. "She only died a little while ago." Mayla made a said little sniffle. "I'll see her again when I get real old though so it's fine. I got- Oh! Granny Nova we forgot!"

"Forgot?" Nova said.

"Yeah, hold on, time out, I gotta get something." Mayla rushed over to her cubby. "We didn't get a whole lot of them, but- Oh! Here it is!" Mayla shuffled through her things, before pulling out a book. "I almost forgot. I Granny Nova and I wanted to give you this cause you said your aunt didn't even have any pictures of your mom at all." The book was shaped a little like a binder, but the outside was covered in a cushy pillow wrapped in a kind of ugly flower patterned cloth cover stitched to it. Harriette seemed just as confused as Sun did, but Nova made a little oh sound and snapped.

"I'd completely forgotten we're gotten that," Nova said.

"A Photo album?" Harriette said, slow and thoughtful. That made Sun understand though. Context clues clicking together.

"Yeah," Mayla offered the book to Harriette. "Your Mommy and Daddy, the birth ones, were super popular so other people probably have pictures of them for you to collect, too."

"O-oh?" Harriette said. Not having caught on. Mayla laughed.

"This is for you! We put in some pictures of your Mommy, and one of your birth Daddy. So now you'll know what they looked like at least."

"O-oh," this oh was a little softer, the sadder kind of oh, the kind that carried with it gratitude and pain. Mayla seemed to understand. Letting Harriette take her time. Not upset when Harriette set it aside with a slow almost reverent sort of care. Sun offered her an arm and she accepted a hug, Mayla offered another selection of shirts.

The weird game grew with the piles, the maybe pile got the biggest. Eventually it became more a game of Harriette and Mayla rushing about and choosing from piles at random. Nova and Kreacher began talking over some of the things she brought him while making sure that nothing in the yes pile was in bad shape and fit Harriette correctly. Meanwhile Bram and Sun discovered they both enjoyed working on machines, when fixing a radio for Harriette evolved into a discussion of Bram's Motorcycle. After several rounds the lights were sifted off and Moon had to take over. They called it a night, then. It was getting ridiculously late. Mayla pouted.

"I don't wanna go!" Mayla said. "You and Sun said I could sleep over any time." She said brightening.

"What do your grandparents have to say about that?" Moon asked. "Do you have a toothbrush? Pajamas?"

"No," Mayla pouted again.

"I can go get those," Bram offered, Mayla brightened. "If your not sick of us?"

"Never," Moon said. "Are you sure you're up to driving there and- you don't have to drive do you?"

"Nope," He popped the p before disappearing. A moment later He arrived holding Mayla's pajamas and a toothbrush, and toothpaste. The good kind.

"Oh, right, you have access to better toothpaste," Moon said.

"You can keep this bottle, let us know when you need another." Bram said.

"Are you sure you're okay with that?" Moon and Harriette said together.

"Of course," Bram said. "We're family now after all."

"Family?"

"Yeah, we're like your grandparents," Bram said, winking. "Yer Mum was like a second kid to us anyhow." He winked, smiling. "So, we're like family."

"Oh," Harriette said, a slow smile growing on her face.

"I mean it," Bram said. "To you too, need any help we'll give it."

"Thank you."

"I can also help get things set up in your house!" Mayla said. "I know how to float stuff too!" She said proudly. Harriette giggled.

"There will be no more of that tonight," Moon said. "It's past your bedtime." He scooped the two girl's up easily, he was careful not to bump them against each other. Bram handed him a few bags, and Kreacher teleported with a few more, including Mayla's clothes. Nova made sure Harriette had her photo album.

"G'night, kiddos," Bram said.

"Good night, sweet pups,"

"Night, G-Grandma, Grandpa," Harriette said.
"Night, Granny Nova, Bram-Paw," Mayla said. Then they parted ways. Not bothering to pretend to use a car taking all the things that Harriette wasn't going to keep with them. Harriette giggled, smiling at Mayla as the other girl beamed. She was rather excited about talking. Moon took the two of them to the room. It was looking more and more like home. Harriette's bed in the corner. Pictures on the wall. The new paint color, even though the table was just the same practical plastic thing that the company used all over the plex, it still made the place feel more like home then a storage room. There was even a little 'vase and plant' made of a broken plastic cup decorated with spots and smiley faces, and a pipe cleaner flower Harriette made. Harriette's shelf and the costume rack. Ms. Spider had relocated herself by them and had captured a number of moths that had tried to turn Harriette's clothes into a meal. Sun was pretty excited to add the new acquisitions to the rack. Moon was excited to add little flourishes to certain articles. Meanwhile Harriette was excited for her very first real sleepover. Moon set the two girls down to get read. Harriette showed Mayla how to get to the bathroom, and talked the things on her shelf, the books Nova had brought her, and her set of crayons, pencils both colored and not and her pens and markers still in there boxes neatly set up next to her box of toys, her three pieces of a puzzle were hung up on the wall, framed a memento of gratitude a reminder of how far she'd come. Of all the pain she'd left behind.

Even the little bits that marked Kreacher's arrival were becoming part of what made home for Moon, and Sun's contentment radiating from the back as he ran his nightly checks told Moon that he felt the same.

Eventually they'd set a spot up for Kreacher in the corner, a little hanging self attached to the wall, curtains around it to mark as his and give him privacy. More of the little string lights hung up in the area and a cushion for a bed. Another shelf for his own growing collection of things. His writings stacked neatly on one side of the new table. An enchanted box for his growing collection of clothing next to the first of three bookshelves. Between the new bookshelf and Sun's desk would be a new tool chest, a real one, with a collection of tools that Sun could use on his various projects. On the other side was a place for Moon's tools and scanes of cloth and yarn and thread. A hanging shelf over the desk for both of their drawing pads, schematics they'd made and drawing tools for their own personal plastic pizzaplex table replaced with a real table, made of wood, there was a real vase on the bottom shelf of the second of the three new bookshelves which sat just next to the tunnel leading to the next room. Several new rugs of different sizes and shapes decorated the small floor, there was even one added to the entry room that held Sun's power station. Even if it was covered with a lot of the boxes that still filled that room and the ones that had been moved there after Harriette moved in. Still they knew it was there and that's what mattered.

Harriette's bed now sat partially atop a new rug, thick and cushy for playing. The bed was now accompanied by a real toy chest, the final of the three bookshelves. The bed was now also raised by a frame that contained her own set of drawers. Now it was only her dresses and longer two coats that hung on the costume rack between her toy chest and bookshelves. A specially made cubby for Ms. over hung over the costume rack, and a shoe rack under it. Harriette now had two new pairs of shoes. A pair of rainboots and a set of sandals. Some additions were made to her first shelf. Hooks to hang her gloves, the broken jewelry chain, and her two favorite scrunchies both sparkly, one yellow and the other blue both. Most hung empty but they would be filled someday, with Harriette favorite bits of jewelry, keychains, and other scrunchies.

Somebay the selves would be filled with more books, Kreacher's writings, Harriette's school books. Someday a set of bunk three tiered bunk beds and another book shelf. And personal effects for three more children. Someday a box of Emelia's things would join Mayla's under the tunnel that no one used. Someday, a lot of things
