"Terk," he said gently, "Front and Center please."

Terk walked over to Kerchak. Kerchak gently placed Terk on his lap.

"What did I do," Terk asked nervously.

"I just want to talk to you about something," Kerchak reassured her, "Those gorillas are what we would call entitled."

"What does entitled mean," Terk asked raising her head to look at Kerchak.

"It means that they think they have the right to take whatever they want. They will harm others to get what they want."

"That's why I told them it wasn't okay to take what was ours."

"Next time, give them the bananas," Kerchak said firmly but gently, "Nothing is worth the family I love being hurt."

"Told you→ you're a child," Puna said.

"Puna," Kerchak said softly and firmly, "She is a child. She's six. You are 13 and you should not be picking on her."

Puna sighed. She broke down sobbing.

"What's wrong honey," Puna and Terk's mother asked.

"I DON'T KNOW," Puna yelled frustrated, "I AM JUST SO MAD ALL THE TIME. NOBODY UNDERSTANDS WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE SO DOWNTRODDEN AND SO DEPRESSED. YOU DON'T GET WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE THE FREAK-"

"You aren't a freak. You're not the odd one out."

"I never said that this time," Puna said.

"You've said it many times," Kerchak said gently, "and as one who is different let me tell you it's nothing to be ashamed of. It doesn't make you a 'freak' or anything else you might think it makes you. It's okay to be different. In many ways, it's a beautiful thing. Take it from someone who is different."

Puna sighed again.

"I guess," she mumbled, "But do you know what it's like to have someone who is seven years younger than you are getting mad-"

"I'm sorry Puna," Terk said, "I didn't mean to hurt you."

"You didn't hurt me," Puna said, "You hurt my feelings."

"Hurting your feelings is hurting you," Kerchak replied, "And Terk, thank you for apologizing to your sister."

"How's Moonlight," Terk asked.

"She has Jungle Fever," Kala replied.

"How did she get that," Puna asked.

"She got that when she was stung by the hornet," Kerchak explained, "Dr. Jungle gave her the antidote. We have to bring her back in 3 days."

"Does she need a s-h-0-t?" Terk whispered.

"You don't have to spell," Kala said laughing, "She doesn't know what that is yet."

"And thankfully no… that won't be necessary," Kerchak added.

"Thank GOD," Puna sighed in relief.

She cared about Moonlight deeply. She admitted to herself, sometimes, that she loved little moonlight.
