Phantom vs Aliens: Hot Ectoplasma!

Chapter 12: What Now?

A few days have passed since Mandie's last visit and things seemed to be going back to normal.

Or...at least as normal as it could get for the half ghost teen superhero.

Danny had woken up early due to an unwanted visit from Klemper, managed to suck him in the thermos in under five minutes and got whatever sleep he could get before his alarm announced it was time to get up and get ready for school. Now, he had just finished breakfast and walked out to go walk to school with his friends. However, his mind was still on a certain alien princess and what she had said to him before she left.

"Mark my words, Danny Phantom! You will be mine!..."Mandie screamed before disappearing, but not before she blew him a kiss before she blasted off.

The ghostly boy shuddered.

She said that she'd be back but she didn't say when. Hopefully, she would take her time...or better yet, never.

"I just hope she takes so long she forgets..."He thought as he met up with his friends.

"Hey Danny..."Tucker greeted.

"Hey..."Danny said, looking a bit down and worn out.

"You okay?..."Sam asked, concerned.

"Just a little tired from an emergency ghost fight..."He said as he yawned a bit. "Plus, I'm still keeping an eye out for my new admirer..."He muttered.

"Dang... I guess ghosts aren't the most stressful thing anymore..." Tucker commented on.

"Just be careful..."Sam added. "I don't think you could handle anymore trouble like this, much less anyone whose got an army backing them up..."She said but Danny waved it off.

"I think she's too impulsive to bring an army..."Danny said. "I hope..."He mentally added.

He decided to changed the subject as they talked.

"So...have either of you guys seen or heard anything involving a space ship or a flying girl with yellow skin and elf ears?..."He said, still on edge about Mandie.

He could still remember how vicious she got when she attacked him...and how lovey dovey she got when the fight was over, practically declaring her love for him just because of his strength.

It was really weird but his friends didn't need to know the details. They were just on the look out.

"Nope...she hasn't bothered you in almost a week...maybe she's chasing after some other guy now..."Tucker suggested.

"I hope so...cause I really can't see myself dating her, much less having kids with her..."Danny said, still unsettled.

His friends, particularly Sam, cringed at that. Though Tucker couldn't help giving a teasing glance at his friend. That earned him a punch in the shoulder from the goth girl when the ghost kid wasn't looking.

"You can say that again..."Sam said, worried about his well-being.

She hasn't met this so-called alien princess but she already hated her for the stunt she tried to pull.

"She'd just better hope that I don't run into her next time..."Sam thought, ready to come to Danny's defense.

She'll be sure to give the space princess a piece of her mind and maybe fists if they ever cross paths.

"Come on, let get a move on.. I don't wanna be late to school..."Danny said as he kept walking faster.

He would worry about Mandie some other time. Right now, he needed to get back to how his life usually works.

"I just hope that she really is gone..."He thought, unaware what she has planned for him.

Later

Danny and his friends soon arrived to Casper High on time for a change, much to their relief.

"So...managed to get the homework done?..."Tucker asked, wanting to change the subject.

"Yep...last night I only had to deal with Johnny and Kitty who were having another spat...I had plenty of time to finish Lancer's totally useless essay..."Danny said, feeling lucky this time around.

It was short lived when a loud and arrogant voice could be heard shouting.

"Think fast, Fen-toenail!..."Dash shouted.

All of a sudden, Danny was hit square on with a football and hit the ground.

"Danny!..."Sam said in concern as she and Tucker helped him up.

"HA! Nice catch Fenton-of-no-game! You'd make a great practice dummy!..."Dash taunted as he and his fellow bullies laughed as they headed inside the school.

"If I wasn't so tired, I'd melt the bottom of his shoes again..."Danny said, irritated.

"He's not worth it, Danny..."Sam said, holding him back and trying to calm him down.

"Just remember, it's all gonna be downhill for him after high school..."Tucker reminded, giving an assuring smile.

The ghost boy still frowned in frustration.

"Yeah, well...sometimes he's just asking to see if he can get a head start on going down that hill..."Danny said as he got up and dusted himself off.

The warning bell was heard and the ghost boy and friends knew that they had to get to class and soon. Once they all made it to the class, they sat in their desks before the tardy bell rang, while the ghost boy did his best to focus on the lesson.

"Let's hope that it's not too boring..."Danny thought, rubbing to keep his eyes open.

Unknown to him, a certain drone was spying on him, the person on the other side planning.

Later

After a long day of books, pop quizzes, Dash's bullying and in-between ghost fights, Danny and his friends soon left the school, at this point not as tired thanks to the usual craziness in his life, such as fighting Lunch lady because taco Tuesday was moved to Thursday and a visit from Skulker who stilled wanted his pelt.

He dealt with both of them and now he just wanted to kick back and relax with his friends.

"So...what do you guys wanna do now? Go to the arcade? Catch a movie? Get a bite at the Nasty Burger?..."Tucker asked, hoping for the last one.

"I think that we really should get him home, so Danny can rest..."Sam said, pointing to Danny as he rubbed his eyes.

"I'm fine, Sam. I'm not that exhausted. I just need to-..."Danny tried, only to yawn again.

"You were saying?..."Sam said sarcastically.

Before Danny could speak up, he heard something. The sounds of an animal-like screech and screaming that was coming from down the street.

"What was that?!..."Tucker exclaimed while Sam looked alarmed.

Danny, now fully awake and alert, narrowed his eyes. His ghost sense didn't go off but he still decided to act.

"Time to get to work, let's go!..."He said as he quickly ran behind some trash cans.

"I'm going ghost!..."He announced as he changed forms.

Once done, he and his friends headed in the direction of those sounds, to see what going on.

A few moments later

Danny flew around, investigating the noise, but as he approached the source, it changed places. The ghost boy had to change direction more than four times before he found what he was looking for.

"Weird, why did it take so long?..."Danny muttered.

He saw some ghost cats causing trouble by the play ground of a park. He saw them snarling at the swing set, despite there was nobody there, but he made his move. Thinking nothing of it, he fired his ghost ray, but the creature disappeared, much to his surprise.

"Okay... I didn't fire that strong..."He muttered.

He pondered for a moment until something caught his attention.

"HELP!..."Was heard.

He flew to the source of the cry for help and saw what caused it.

A ghost, or well, what looked like one.

It was one of those old-timey bedsheet ghosts like you would see in old movies and it was holding a little kid, who was screaming while his family was watching from afar in terror.

"You got to be kidding me!..."Danny said at the bedsheet and the kid.

With a quick blast, the ghost boy pushed back the ghost and caught the falling child. He didn't notice how it exploded in the background or the fact said child was oddly heavy.

He just knew someone needed his help.

"I got you..." Danny said, having finished off the ghost.

The job seemed too easy, but it didn't matter as long as folks were safe. The ghost boy put the kid down as the boy hugged him.

"Okay, okay. I get it, you're happy to be safe..."Danny chuckled.

He was about to leave but found that he couldn't. The kid said nothing as his arms were still around him.

"Uh...kid?...'Danny questioned, only to see the boy's eyes glow red.

Soon, his entire body morphed into chains, enveloping the ghost boy's body. Suddenly, Danny found himself being restrained by some strange looking, glowing metal ropes

"What the-..."Danny yelled as he tries to break himself free, only to find that he can't.

"AH!..."He screamed as the binds shocked him.

"Danny!..."Tucker and Sam both yelled in concern.

They tried to run to help him, only for the ropes to expel more rope and restrain them too. The figures he "fought" earlier appeared and Danny noticed that they still didn't trigger his ghost sense.

"What are these things?! They aren't ghosts!..."Danny said as he struggled, trying to break free.

"Well whatever they are, they definitely seem ghost proof..."Sam shireked.

"What about the kid's parents?..." Danny asked.

They saw that family disappear, a robot taking their place.

"Holograms?!..." Sam questioned

"A robot?!..." Danny asked.

"If I wasn't so scared right now, I'd totally be geeking to over this tech!..."Tucker screamed, unsure how to feel.

Danny ignored that as he tried to figure out who could be behind this trap.

"This is too... different to be Vlad's and too complicated to be Skulkers..." Danny said as he still struggled to get out.

The constant struggling sent electrical currents through the chains and into Danny's body knocking him to the ground and barely conscious

"Who did this?!..." Danny thought, hissing in pain.

Suddenly, a space ship appeared and Danny felt dread now.

"Oh no..."He said as went pale all of a sudden.

He tried to break free and get up, but the strange metal wrapping him couldn't be broken. He tried as someone got out of the ship and walked towards him, revealing who was behind this while thing.

"Hello again, Darling..."A sultry voice was heard.

The ghost boy and his friends looked up as their captor stood above them, looking smug.

"Mandie!..."Danny said, looking furious while the alien smirked.

"Did you miss me?..."Mandie said, smirking mischievously as she managed to capture her prize.

Oh boy.
