Phantom vs Aliens: Hot Ectoplasma!
Chapter 63: Schemes in the Horizon
Danny soon arrived to the same forest that Mandie first landed on when she came to earth.
This is also where he and Mandie made out during their last date. Yet, part of the ghost boy couldn't help wondering if hormones had anything to do with Mandie's unusual message.
It almost seemed out of place to him. He still had his concerns.
"I really hope that this is just a trick for another date…but I doubt it. I wonder what Mandie wanted to talk about? Her last message sounded pretty urgent..."Danny asked out loud, as he waited for his alien girlfriend.
Staring into the starry sky, the ghost boy reminisced about his and Mandie's romantic endeavors and how far they have come along.
It was so strange how at first, she was here to kidnap him, only to steal his heart much later after she dropped the "villainous would-be galactic conqueror" act and they got to know each other better.
Now, he liked her...a lot.
He really did, a lot more than he would have ever expected to.
It was to the point that our half ghost hero is even starting to wonder what kind of future he can make with Mandie by his side.
"Huh…funny how life turns out…then again, who the heck is gonna believe that a half ghost boy with an alien girlfriend?…"Danny ponder out loud, knowing that what he has with Mandie is special.
A lot more special than he expected it to be...but that didn't make this situation any less unusual.
"I just hope that she's okay..."He thought, as he waited for his girlfriend for beyond the starts.
Later
After about 20 minutes of waiting, a familiar space ship soon appeared. It landed at the same exact spot, as it did the last time Mandie came to Earth.
"She's here..."Danny thought, relieved.
Mandie's ship landed, and the alien princess ran out in a very hurried state.
"Danny!..."Mandie said as she ran to him, almost in a panic.
The ghost boy was about to question her about the urgency of her last message, but he was quickly interrupted by a sudden full-body embrace from Mandie and was rendered a bit motionless from his girlfriend's super strong hug.
"Should have seen this part coming..."Danny thought, as she embraced him tightly, nearly squeezing the life out of him.
"Mandie? What's wrong? What's so important that you couldn't just call me or send a galactic email?..."He managed to let out, as he squirmed a little in her embrace.
His alien paramour had a slightly hesitant look on her face, before sighing and loosening her grip on him.
"It's a long story...and I do feel as an act of precaution and strategy that we should inform your sister and those friends of yours..."Mandie said, feeling the need to inform them too.
"What's wrong?..."Danny asked, sensing that something was a bit off.
Mandie knew that she had to tell Danny everything, if she hopes on his cooperation on this. The chips were on the table and now all bets were on. The most wanted thing was a winning hand.
Even more, she still wanted him to stay by her side when this was all over.
"Well..."She began, knowing that eventually she'll have to explain everything.
10 minutes later
"And that's what happened..."Mandie said, smiling nervously as she watched her boyfriend's reactions.
"WHAT?!..."Danny exclaimed, shocked to say the least.
"Yeah, they all know about us. I had to show them the video about how you defeated me in order to convince them that I'm wasn't kidding.."She said, leaving out the part where her mother saw holographic footage of her and Danny making out in her ship.
It was too embaressing to relieve. Her boyfriend, unaware, was still processing what she had just informed him.
"Really?..."Danny asked, and his intergalactic girlfriend nodded.
"Yeah, and to say things will get more complicated is to compare a Yugopotamian to a Ghorblech..."Mandie said, arms crossed.
"A what?..."He asked, and Mandie sighed.
"It's a large hairy...you know what...it doesn't matter. Just know that they know all about us and things are just gonna get even more complicated from here on out..."Mandie said, while her boyfriend seemed dismayed.
"How could they even more complicated?! I'm a half-ghost teen superhero dating an alien princess from another universe! I'm now questioning the extent of how crazy my life is getting! And now you're saying it's gonna get more complicated?! Are you kidding me?!..."Danny said in shock, while his girlfriend walked over with a soothing hug.
She did not let go, rubbed her hand on his back with a soft kiss on his cheek. The method worked as the ghost boy's panting diminished and disappeared, allowing her to talk him down.
"Darling, I have good news and bad news..."Mandie said, hoping that this might brighten his mood.
"What's the good news?..."Danny asked, hoping that the good news carries more weight than the bad news.
Mandie smiled.
"The good news is that my mother approves of us, and wants to meet you soon to discuss our engagement..."She said cheerfully.
Danny flinched at that, and sent her a flat look.
"I haven't agreed to get married yet..."He reminded.
"Details...Details..."Mandie said, brushing it off nonchalantly.
"Mandie!..."Danny said in a commanding tone.
It did nothing to scold the girl, only enticing her with his glare.
"Yes, my love!?..."His girlfriend replied in a sweet tone, still clearly under his spell.
Danny gargled a sigh, dropping the subject for more pressing matters.
"What's the bad news?..."Danny asked, worried now.
It was Mandie's turn to sigh, knowing that this won't be easy.
"My father...as the stubborn, old fur ball that he is, isn't so keen on the idea of us being together..."She said, but she knew that was an understatement.
"Define isn't so keen?..."Danny asked, wondering if this is something that he should preemptively take care of.
"He...basically ordered to have your head cut off and for our armies to invade your home world for "daring to corrupt the Boudacian Empire's crown heir" as he put it. Something like that, In his actions, the usual..."Mandie said sheepishly, looking embarrassed as she said this.
Danny sighed, and rolled his eyes.
"Typical. I haven't even met my girlfriend's dad yet, and he already wants me dead..."He said, more annoyed than scared right now.
"To make matters worse, Brutis is trying to make it worse, adding fuel to the fire..."Mandie said, and Danny sighed.
"Great, what did "Dorkus" do this time?..."Danny asked, and his girlfriend groaned.
"Oh, you know...the same thing. He wants you dead. Except this time, he's trying to persuade both my father and the royal court to send an entire squadron to vanquish you and study your remains..."Mandie said, and her boyfriend groaned.
"Why am I not surprised that moron is up to that? I'm gonna have to punch him extra hard the next time we meet..."He muttered, while his girlfriend sent him a curious look.
"You're taking this better than I expected..."Mandie said, while her boyfriend sent her a flat look.
"Don't get me wrong. I'm not happy about this, but what do you expect? I fight ghosts who want to kill be on a daily basis and I've already had several aliens trying to kill me by now...you being one of them, remember..."Danny said, a flat expression on his face.
A career of ghost fighting had officially desensitized him to all manners of threats and violence by this point. Normally mainstream media was supposed to do that, but that's not the case here.
Mandie thought about it, and nodded.
"True, but I never INTENDED on killing you, remember..."Mandie said.
"Yeah, but you could have had me fooled at the time with how you hunted me down.."He said, and his girlfriend sighed.
"Touche..."She said, having no argument against that.
Still, she tried to be positive about the situation.
"Still...you don't need to worry too much, Darling. My father may be the king, but my mother is the one with the real power since she was the inherited the throne. My father just married into the royal family. She won't let him do anything stupid that might jeopardize his future son in law..."Mandie said, hoping to cheer him up.
"That's nice and all, but one, I still haven't agreed to getting married. And two, I still have ANOTHER blood thirsty alien who wants to kill me..."Danny said, seeing that his current situation isn't all that less deadly than it already is.
"True, but I won't let him..."Mandie said, vowing to protect her beloved Danny and his home world.
She wrapped her arms around him, sending him a loving look.
"I promised you that I wouldn't let anything bad happen to you and your own. I intend to keep that promise, my love..."She said in a sincere way.
That got the boy to smirk.
He had seen her fight, felt her fury firsthand, and knew her strength could handle whatever came their way. But that was also a concern, as now it wasn't just his own gallery of rogues going after them, but the possibility of an entire alien armada.
Still, he felt that he could trust her words.
"I believe you. I just hope that your mom will be able to get your dad to back off..."He said, as he reached out, griping the girl's hand as a show of faith.
"I trust my mother, but if she can't. I will..."Mandie said, being serious.
The couple, while not completely convinced of their victory yet, just needed some time to think about their next move.
However, they were not the only ones. Because a war of any kind always has more than one side with someone lurking about behind the curtains.
Especially when there's royalty involved.
Later
Danny had brought Mandie to his house, in order to conduct an emergency meeting.
Mandie, still in her human disguise, was sitting on the couch with her legs crossed, as she patiently waited for everyone on Team Phantom to arrive here.
They were here to inform everybody that needed to know about the possibility of an invasion. Mandie knew she was technically going against her father, but she needed to keep her promise to her beloved.
"This won't be enough for a counterattack, if needed, but I hope Danny's faith in his friends is not misplaced..."She thought, too worried about the repercussions should things turn for the worse.
As she sat there, Danny had called his sister and Tucker, hesitantly stopping at Sam, to nervous to bring himself to call her.
He had mix feelings about calling Sam, especially given what had recently happened between them.
So, he figured that he could get Tucker to pass the message on to her on his behalf. Hopefully, the air would not thicken with awkward energy as Mandie explained things.
It didn't take long for everyone to gather, but the princess's news took some time to process. The teens felt like ants under a magnifying glass, watching the impending heat wave approach as they listened to everything the alien princess had to say about her father and his plans.
"So, that's what happened..."Mandie explained, as she took a sip of her soda.
"Are you serious?! Your dad wants to invade our planet, just because my little brother isn't one of your people? Are you for real?!..."Jazz asked, ready to pull out her hair.
"Yeah. Sorry, but my dad is REALLY stubborn and even though he isn't Boudacian himself, he takes great pride in being our world's king. He wants only the best for our empire and me. Unfortunately, he doesn't want to hand either to an earthling..."Mandie said, looking embarrassed right now more than anything.
"Even though he's a different species entirely?!..."Jazz said, more astonished by the fact that there are also close-minded in space than the invasion itself.
All Mandie could do was sheepishly nod her head in response, looking mortified.
"Wow…you'd think the guy would have a different mindset for being the king of another planet…"Tucker dryly muttered, and the space princess sighed.
"Yeah, I don't understand it as well. He's just always been like this. It's really embaressing..."She muttered, shaking her head.
However, she tried to be a little positive and give them what she thought was good news.
"But don't worry. My mom won't let him and even someone as thick-headed as my dad knows it's not smart to go against her orders or challenge them. Not after the time he forgot their their last wedding anniversary and she proceeded to extend the meaning of pain and suffering...long story short...the royal palace went up in flames...and it wasn't my dad who did it..."Mandie said, remembering that day.
Danny and the others blinked in surprised to hear that.
"Danny better not forget their own anniversary...and he better try and get on her mom's good side..."Tucker whispered to Jazz, who nodded.
"Note to self, don't forget our anniversary...and don't do anything to get on that lady's bad side..."Danny whispered to himself, as his girlfriend continued.
"Still, I figure that you guys needed a heads up. Just in case my father, or someone who works for him tries anything stupid..."The alien princess said, covering all her bases.
The earth teens nodded, already desensitized to such situations. It was almost funny how extremely dangerous situations would befall them since Danny's powers. Still, it didn't mean that they didn't express any concern about the situation either.
"So, what do we do now?..."Tucker asked, sounding the most panicked out of all of them.
"I think that the best thing we can do is have Danny meet both my parents, and negotiate a truce and perhaps a partnership between our two worlds. My mother is very pragmatic and more reasonable than my father, Plus, she already gave her approval, so I think we can get her cooperation in NOT invading this world..."Mandie said.
"And what about that angry dad of yours?..."Jazz asked, still seeing one big angry obstacle in their way.
Mandie groaned.
"My father is REALLY, REALLY stubborn and pig-headed. Probably the most stubborn warrior in our entire old universe, but if there is one thing he truly respects...it's power..."Mandie said as she then stared at her beloved Danny.
"All you need do is prove you're powerful, and show him that you're not someone that can be pushed around..."Mandie said.
"You say that like it's easy..." Danny commented on her words.
"It won't be easy to convince him...but I just know that if he could just see how truly powerful and honorable you are in person, he may drop this silly vendetta that he has against your world and might finally listen to reason..."Mandie said, almost sounding like she's begging the ghost boy for his help in this part of her plan.
"You don't sound so confident about that..."Danny said.
His girlfriend sighed bitterly.
"Maybe I'm not, but the impossible has happened before. Besides, even if my father tried to kill you, I know that you can take him...who knows...maybe literally knocking him down a few pegs might actually knock some sense into him too. Or at least make him a little more reasonable afterwards..."Mandie said, unsure if she preferred one over the other.
"Most girlfriends don't encourage their boyfriends to fight their fathers..."Danny said, stating the obvious differences between the world's customs.
"Most girls don't have a father like mine. Or even come from another universe entirely..."Mandie said, stating the even more obvious differences.
"Touche..."Danny admitted.
This exchange actually got a genuine laugh from the group of teens that were planning ways to defend against the possibility of an invasion from the Boudacian army...or at least from it's king.
All but one, that is.
As Danny and Mandie made strategies of what to do during either an invasion, or dinner with her parents and a possible fight to the death with Mandie's dad, they had no ways of knowing that their entire meeting was being spied on by someone who is loyal to Boudacia... one who is not loyal to its princess.
In a nearby star-ship several light years away from earth, someone saw the meeting. This person frowned at what she witnessed, viewing it as treason.
"Traitor. You don't deserve to be the heir..."The figure said as the figure typed in the instructions to the ship to return to Boudacia.
Before that, a message was sent to the one person that could probably end Mandie's potential reign before it began.
Meanwhile
In Death Valley
Vlad soon arrived to the location and had his ghost vulture minions scattered around the area, in case this was an attempt to ambush him.
Just because the older halfa was curious about who the messenger is, doesn't mean that he would let his guard down for need a second. Especially since he doesn't know who this is.
"Alright. I'm here. Now show yourself and tell me why you called me out here?!..."He said, sounding impatient.
Soon, a robed figure emerged from behind the small hill of rocks.
"I see that you're finally here. Were you followed?..."The robed figure asked.
"No. Despite the creatures that I employ as minions, I am no fool..."Vlad said, taking little offense that someone like him could be accused of being followed.
"Good. You're exactly the type of man as I had hoped you'd be. A partnership with you will be quite worth the effort of coming back here indeed..."The figure said, seemingly glad to have taken the trip to earth.
"And you called me to a desert because...?..."Vlad asked, wanting him to get on with it.
"Some place where few people would suspect either of us..."The figure said, like it was obvious.
"Just who are you anyway? And how exactly is this potential partnership suppose to benefit me in anyway?..."Vlad asked, impatient and wanting him to get to the point already.
"Because we both have a grudge against that stupid Phantom, and we both might have what the other needs..."The figure said.
"And what exactly is it that you need from me?..."Vlad asked, a bit intrigued, but stayed on the defensive.
"Information on that little freak and his weaknesses, as well as weapons and any way to make him more vulnerable to harm. He's proven himself to being quite difficult to do harm without proper knowledge of what he truly is. Unfit to father the next generation of royalty..."The figure demanded, his hatred for the young halfa can be both seen and heard on full display.
"Hmm...while I do like the idea of hurting Daniel...what is in it for me?..."Vlad asked, curious as to what his potential ally will offer in return for his services.
"The head of that obnoxious Phantom once I'm done with him...all thanks to Boudacian army's mighty efficiency in battle. Some of our finest weaponry as well, for your reverse-engineering pleasure..."The figure said, knowing that someone like him couldn't possibly refuse such an offer.
That caught the ghost villains attention.
"Boudacian, eh? As in, the same alien race as that wretched girlfriend of Daniel's?..."Vlad asked, wanting to be certain that this bit of information was completely accurate.
The robed figure seemed to have taken offense at something he said, given his tone now.
"Princess Mandie is NOT wretched! Her only flaws are having poor taste in men, and inheriting her father's infamous temper and stubbornness. I let this remark slide for now, but do not insult the royal lineage any further than that. Understood?..."The figure said, showing that he has some form of favoritism of royalty, but for much less noble reasons.
The evil halfa just waved that off, not really caring.
"Whatever...now, why don't we discuss this arrangement in finer detail?..."Vlad said, having just found a brand new pawn in his chessboard.
"Yes, let's..."The figure said, smirking as the negotiations between the groundwork of their partnership began.
"Let's see how far I can use this fool for now..." They thought in unison.
One thing that is certain, if things went the way that they wanted to...then this partnership will only end with one the victor.
Later
Mandie, in higher spirits, had returned to her ship and is ready to inform her mother of the great news in person.
"Okay...that went smoother than I had imagined. I just hope that mother will be able to keep father at bay during the meeting tomorrow. And hopefully with some furniture that hasn't been destroyed by his temper tantrums..."She thought, now wondering how to break this news to her father.
Nevertheless, the warrior princess of Boudacia remained in high hopes that everything will work out in the end with absolutely no hiccups happening throughout the entity of this plan.
She wanted to ensure she and Danny would have a lovely time, and that her plan to avoid an unnecessary war between Boudacia and Earth will come into fruition.
"This is all gonna go well. I'll pick up Danny, take him to Boudacia, we'll show father what an amazing warrior he is and convince him that it's better to be allies than enemies. What could go wrong between bringing my beloved Danny to Boudacia and finally meeting my parents? This will be the ideal story to tell our pups..."The space princess thought, fully confident that nothing could possibly go wrong with any of this.
She imagined herself and Danny on the throne, both ruling together as they raised several little ones as well.
"Wonderful!~..."She thought, feeling optimistic and vigilant in ways she never did.
That was the future that she wanted, and she would do anything to make sure that it would happen.
Things were finally looking up for Mandie and her beloved. Their wedding day inched closer, she could feel it. She just had to keep her relationship with Danny progressing in a positive manner, and to do that, she needed to maintain his trust.
And she would do anything to keep that trust, and she knew the only way was to she helped him protect his world. She knew that, and she was more than willing to side with her future king, any day of the week.
The princess continued to head home in her space ship, unaware of the mechanization that were done without her knowledge, even as we speak. All she knew for absolute certainty was that everything was going to change soon.
She had no idea of how right she was going to be, just not for the same reasons.
Meanwhile
On Boudacia
Milee was in the middle of the palace's dining room.
She was in the middle of bossing her servants and droids into making sure that everything was not out of place. Not a speck or germ was to show, something to queen eliminated with deadly efficacy, courtesy of her cleaning drones equipped with laser precision scrubbing devices.
"Keep that floral arrangement facing Clockwise! Not Counter-Clockwise! And make sure all weapons are on display facing the sky. And remember place the silverware next to the dishes, not the ironware. This isn't a mere space potluck, people. Now someone better throwaway that bouquet of Dragon Sneeze flowers, before I start throwing knives randomly at someone! Move it, people! Heads will roll if something goes wrong!..."She said, as she wanted to prepare for tomorrow's night dinner/engagement party.
She was a bit of a perfectionist when it came to certain things in her life, and this occasion was certainly one of them. She wanted the first meeting with her daughter's betrothed to go well and leave a perfect first impression on him.
And while the preparations were easy, she had to deal with the biggest, angriest problem of them all: her husband's pride and temper.
The queen of Boudacia was multitasking everything she needed while keeping her husband on a short and tight leash, under the threat of making it literal if he did not show proper etiquette.
That last note she kept reminding with said collar twirled by a finger constantly, much to the king's ire.
"Milee, what are you doing?..."Maurus asked, as he appeared to be very displeased with the gesture from his wife.
"Oh, just preparing everything for tomorrow night's dinner with Phantom..."Milee spoke in an innocent tone, pretending she had no clue what was going on.
Looking over a display, she pursued through the available inventory for the menu. Before the inter dimensional transport, there had been a successful hunt on other planets with the ships arriving their stocks. Now seemed an appropriate time to cook some of the now exotic animals.
"What do you think is more appropriate for dinner with our future son-in-law? Smoked poultra or grilled titan worm?..."Milee asked, moving her finger between the two items.
She was leaning more towards the smoked poultra, since they still had plenty of those birds in stock and that grilled titan worm was more of a delicacy on their world.
"Or should we serve food from his home world? Maybe titan worm would be best served at the wedding?..."The queen asked.
She willingly ignored that her husband was mad and clearly unwelcoming.
"THE ONLY THING I AM FEEDING THAT EARTH MUTANT IS FLAMING FIST DOWN HIS GULLET OR WHATEVER ORIFICE COUNTS AS A THROAT!..."Maurus yelled, his fur turning fiery.
His wife, who was preoccupied with creating the menu, didn't look at him and nonchalantly continued her search inspection of the courses.
"Hmmm...that might be a little too spicy and fattening. Maybe smoked poltra with extra zorkaberries on the side is a more sensible option..."The queen said.
"Milee, are you even listening to me?!..."Maurus yelled, trying to gain his beloved wife's attention
"Huh? Did you say something, Dear?..."Milee asked, making her husband growled louder.
"YOU WEREN'T EVEN LISTENING TO A WORD I JUST SAID, DID YOU?!..."Her husband shouted.
Milee frowned.
"Sorry, but I am a little busy wanting to make sure that tomorrow night's feast is impeccable..."She said.
"There isn't going to be any feast! That creature isn't welcome in this palace, unless he's brought in a body bag!..."Maurus yelled, but his wife rolled her eyes, clearly having enough of his attitude.
"Maurus, this overprotective father bit isn't as cute as you think it is. And I'm certain that Mandie would agree with me on this. Now either help out or get out of the way!..."Milee nagged, knowing that he'll try to ruin things if he stayed.
"You're still not listening to me! I forbidding this dinner with that weakling! This dinner will not happen on my empire! That is my final word as the king!..."The king snarled, forgetting who he was talking to for a moment.
His wife, however, has had enough and placed her foot down. Or in her case, her high heel down with a loud and powerful sounding echo.
All of the staff, guards and servants were instantly frozen in complete terror and didn't even dare to utter even the tiniest of whimpers, out of fear of what the Queen might do next.
They all took a collective step back as their queen's voice echoed in the room, as she began to threaten-...I mean...lecture her husband.
"Listen here, Maurus and listen good! You'd better behave during the dinner tomorrow, and you better not to anything stupid...unless you want me to break out the collar again..."Milee warned with a dark tone, while Maurus growled at that.
Frightened he was, his pride and overprotective nature kept his fragile backbone straight.
"You wouldn't dare!..."Maurus shouted.
"We both know that I would..."Milee said, in a threatening manner that her husband knew all too well.
Maurus stared deeply into his beloved wife's eyes for what felt like hours to him, but was really just a few minutes, and finally backed down with a loud sigh.
Knowing full well that he cannot best her. True, he could beat her in a fight if he tried hard enough...but he knew that when his wife really had her mind set on something...and if she was peeved off enough, it was be VERY bad for anyone who is the target of her anger.
The last time his wife put that accursed collar and leash on him was when they attended Milee's grandmother Val-Carie's 90th birthday. He had been grumbling like a child the entire time, wanting nothing to do with the elderly royalty, but things reached their peak when he decided to speed things up and tried to blow out the grandmother's candles for her, which ended with him accidentally launching the dessert from the force of his breath before Val-carie could blow them out.
Milee didn't even bat an eyelash when she pressed the button of the shock-collar remote, shocking the King, until his flames died down from the electrical shocks.
In his defense, he should have remembered how strong his lungs are, but that did not stop his wife's wrath.
The beastly king gave a stubborn huff as he swiftly turned away. His cape swished dramatically as it settled, waiting for it to calm before leaving.
"I still don't like this act of treachery. Traditions are here for a reason..."Maurus grumbled, as he left the area.
Milee rolled her eyes.
"He can be so dramatic sometimes. I just hope that he doesn't do something stupid during tomorrow's dinner. I just replaced the dinning room table two weeks ago..."She thought to herself, as she double checked the dining table settings.
Milee hummed it herself as she inspected the table arrangement for what felt like the umpteenth time. Her tone seemed pleased, but something was bothering her.
A snap of her fingers, and a droid was summoned.
"Droids...go find the good table cloth...the one that was crocheted by one of our subjugated allied planets from galactic silk worms that was imported from the Vegon system of our old universe..."Milee ordered.
"Yes, your majesty..."The droid said, as it went to get said item.
As a few other droids followed for some added assistance, the alien queen nodded in agreement, feeling everything was perfect. She turned to the hallway where her husband had left.
"Now we just need to ensure Maurus doesn't try anything idiotic and we're all good..."She quipped, as she continued to prepare for tomorrow night's dinner.
Later
Brutis had arrived back to Boudacia and had quite a smug smirk on his face. Most likely thinking that he had everything well under his control.
"That should do it..."He thought, as he seemed rather satisfied with his recent endeavors.
Dieana had her hands wrapped around his arm and a love struck look on her face, as she kept kissing up to him.
"I've done what you ordered me to do, my love. Are you pleased?..."Dienana said, resting her head gently on his arm.
"Huh?..."Brutis asked, not listening.
"I said that I've have accomplished the task you assigned me to do. Are you pleased with my actions?..."She repeated, fluttering her eyelashes at him.
"Oh, well...good work, you've done very well..."He said, as he patted her head like a cat.
Dieana felt accomplished as Brutis praised her efforts, her emotions blinding her to the man child's perspective.
"Anything for you, Darling..."Dieana said in a love sick way, as she leaned into kiss him.
However, they were interrupted as a driod appeared and approached the Boudacian general.
"Oh, now what?..."Dieana asked, upset that they had been interrupted.
"General Brutis. You are requested to have an audience with the king. His majesty is waiting and does not wish to prolong his generous patience. You are to follow me to meet him..."The droid said.
Brutis heard this and smirked.
"A Boudacian warrior's work is never. Tell the king that I will be by his side with post haste..."He said, as he responded to the droid like it was one of his own.
The droid stayed silent and motionless for a moment, as if it was hesitant to follow the orders of Brutis, until it's logic circuits reminded it that it must respond to the King of Boudacia immediately and quickly floated away.
Brutis seemed pleased by this, while Dieana kept her hands around his arm.
"I gotta go..."He said.
"Alright, my love. We'll continue this later?..."She asked.
"Yeah, sure..."Brutis said, and the maid sighed lovingly.
The general soon left. All the while, Brutis smirked as he journeyed to the throne room.
"All according to plan..."He thought, as he grin wickedly while Dienana stared at him with longing and admiration.
Not that he cared or noticed.
Right now, he only had his eyes on one thing and one thing only.
The throne.
Later
Milee was just making sure that everything was in its place and placed perfectly.
She smiled, looking satisfied so far.
"Okay...the dinner and dining room are already prepared to be hosting for a very important guest. Now all that's left is is to pick out a nice outfit for this unforgettable first impression on her future son-in-law, as well as choose the ideal dessert..."She said, as the Queen was wondering if this universe has any planets or at least large asteroids that housed a garden through its natural environment.
It was quite the rarity in her old universe, but both delicious and extremely useful in any related to engineering and construction of vehicles. Chances are they existed here, in this universe. They just haven't found them yet.
"If worse comes to worse, we can serve Zorka berry cobbler..."She thought, as she left a note for her husband to inform him of what she will be doing.
Milee soon left on her private ship, while her husband remained in the palace. She wanted to make sure that everything went off without a hitch.
However, she had no way of knowing that someone was watching her as she left in her ship...and followed her.
With Maurus
The king had read the note that his wife left him, and he was now alone in the palace, sulking.
"That woman...When my words fail, then I'm left with little to choose. I suppose it's time for these claws to retract..."Maurus muttered, sighing as he knew that he can't change his wife's mind.
It was the hardest thing to do: admitting defeat.
To lose in battle was easy, but to yield was another matter to the warrior.
The King of Boudacia breathed out through his nostrils, and made an expression that look like he had finally made an important decision that held a lot of weight of responsibility.
He didn't want to do so, he was the king of Boudacian and his word was law. But he is also a husband and a father.
Regardless of what others might of thought him, he loved his wife and daughter tremendously. He would die for them, and kill for them with as much ferocity as possible. And despite what his daughter might believe, he did care about their opinions.
However, trouble started whenever their opinions clashed with his...an example being their opinions on Brutis and that Earth mutation.
Maurus didn't want that freak's blood to run in his grandchildren's veins...but his daughter was dead-set on marrying him and unfortunately for him, she has the law on her side due to the fact that he bested her in a fight.
Even more, his wife was on their side and Maurus felt he was losing this battle.
He hated losing...but he hated being seen as an enemy by his daughter. He also didn't want his wife to stay angry with him either. Not because he was worried that they would attack him. No, he can handle any attack that they could throw his way.
No, he just didn't like the thought of them being unhappy and giving him the cold shoulder. That is much worse than either of them trying to chop his head off in battle.
He wanted them to go back to how they were before they were sent to this wretched new universe. He wanted them to get along again...but that won't happen until that issue with the earth mutant is settled...and there is only one LEGAL way to do so.
The beastly king knew that he had a choice to make...but no matter which choice he made, someone will be upset.
"I just hope that we won't come to regret this..."He thought, hating this but having no choice in the matter anymore.
He then saw Brutis walk in. Maurus sighed, as he knew that the matter of the warrior's inclusion needed to be addressed too.
Brutis kneeled in greeting, but Maurus did nothing, staring at the warrior with a blank face and distant eyes.
"My king? You have ask to meet with me? ..."Brutis said, being polite.
"Yes, we have much to discuss...in private..."Maurus said, as he gave his servants and guards the order to leave them alone.
Once they were gone, only a couple of droids remained. Maurus didn't care, as he and his top warrior began to speak.
"So, my king? Have you called me to discuss the upcoming invasion of Earth? Or making me Mandie's groom?..."Brutis asked, while the king sighed and shook his head.
"It would seem... my wife has rejected the invasion. And...has decided to give Phantom a chance..."He said, stating it like it was a fact.
"She has?!..."Brutis exclaimed, looking displeased.
The king ignored that outburst, and just nodded.
"I attempted to convince my daughter that you'd be an ideal and explain how you are the more sensible option...but she remains stubborn..."Maurus said, sighing.
Brutis was angry, but tried to remain composed.
"I know, my king. I tried to speak with her earlier about this whole situation. I tried to get her to see reason, and do you know what I learned?..."Brutis asked.
"She... didn't take it. Did she?..." Maurus asked, and Brutis shook his head.
"No, she didn't. Not only that, but I learned that she's not only deadset on being with that freak of nature, she's intending to change Boudacia... Back to... the era before her grandparents..." Brutis said, and the king got more upset.
"I know, and that cannot be allowed! I have worked hard to continue the work of my father-in-law when he claimed the throne! As his greatest soldier and ally, I alone was worthy of his daughter, just as you are!..." Maurus said.
"I know... but if you cannot order her if she's already made her choice... and he is no longer resisting her advances... then, by law, it is done...unless we kill that freak before she convinces him to walk down the aisle..." Brutis said, acting calm on the outside but on the inside he is living
Maurus took a deep breath through his nose as he got up.
"Unfortunately, we can't do that...Unless..."He paused.
"Unless what, my king?..." Brutis said, looking hopeful right now.
Maurus sighed, before shaking his head.
"No... never mind. You are right... there's nothing I can do as king. All we can do is hope Mandie comes to her senses and drops this foolish idea of love and settles for something more realistic...or that her mother would see reason and side with me in our next argument..."The king said, while his top soldier lost his composure now.
"So, we must sit and watch as she enters a room alone with that… thing, and spawn whatever abominations with him?!..."Brutis shouted, looking enraged.
"I understand your quarrel, but the laws and traditions are clear…"Maurus said, held his head high. "Mandie had challenged this Danny Phantom, who won. Now he is to be declared Mandie's…fiancé…"He said, spouting that word like it's a curse.
While he was not of Boudacian blood, he still had high hopes for his daughter to grow out of her rebellious phase and marry Brutis. The warrior in front of him was far more befitting of royalty than the ghost boy, in his eyes. But as the father of Mandie stared at Brutis, he could not see the rage in the warrior man child.
"I would much rather you become my son-in-law...but unfortunately, even my wife won't listen to me...and even more unfortunate...the law is on my daughter side...and there is nothing I can do about it..."He said, hating the bitter taste of defeat.
"So…"Brutis spoke as he circled the king. "You prefer to follow the rules for a weakling than the strength of a true Boudician?…"He asked in a slow voice.
"…I'm afraid so…Yes…"The king said, frowning.
Though Maurus stood straight, he didn't like being circled. It was what predators do to prey, making him extend a claw beneath his cloak.
"And if I were to challenge the boy?…"Brutis asked, acting like he was asking something as simple as how the weather was.
"You would have to wait till the wedding to offer your challenge. Then it would be a matter of whether or not the boy would accept…"Maurus growled, knowing the latter would reject.
To the king's surprise, Brutis, shrugged with a child-like smile. With his arms out, he walked to the king and knelt down.
"Then I have no choice, but to obey the king…"Brutis said.
Retracting his claw, Maurus nodded and turned around.
"Good. Let's just hope that even if there is a wedding, my daughter will come to her senses...or get cold feet. Whichever comes first..."The king said, not wanting to have an Earthling in the family.
Maurus starts walking towards the door, ready to leave his top warrior alone. With the king's back turned, Brutis smirked as he pulled his weapon out.
Maurus stopped in his tracks as something struck his back.
"W-WHAT?!..." He went, before he screamed.
Maurus felt his skin tear at the blade, but the pain was nothing compared to the electricity shot throughout his body.
"AHHHHHHAHHHHH! GRAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHEHHHHHHHHHEEEHHHAAAAHHHHH!..."He let out a painful growl, as his nerves were cooked.
Soon, they grew limp, tired, and weak. The king fell, only to hear these words blacking out.
"And that is to be me!…"Brutis said coldly.
The Boudacian King was filled with confusion and rage, but could do nothing as he body failed to listen to him.
While Maurus felt his eyelids getting heavier with each slow blink, all he could before blacking out with the figure of Brutis, grinning like a mad man as he kicked the King's head to finally knock him out.
Once he was knocked out, the evil nobleman smirked.
"For the glory of Boudacia and for the honor of the entire Boudacian Empire. Long...Live...The true king!..." Brutis said, with a much more savage expression on his face as he look at Maurus' unconscious body.
"Driods...you know what to do..."Brutis ordered, as he pointed to the unconscious body.
The robotic minions soon took the unconscious figure away, while Brutis was smirking darkly as his plans continued to unfold.
Oh man.

7) Yeah, Mandie is going to bring Danny to Boudacia to meet her parents.
8) It's mostly their stubbornness and tempers that aggravate her.
9) I'd say he was somewhat better since he was more familiar, but not by much.
10) I'll think about it. Thanks for the suggestion.
11) Since she became old enough to get married and Brutis started to "court" her.
12) He just is. He sees Danny as unworthy of his daughter and heir.

14) Yes, yes he has.

Here are my responses to your questions:
1) I loved the scene where Clockwork save Danny and everyone from the Nasty Burger explosion, thereby changing Danny's entire future.
2) She would not be happy, to say the least.
3) No comment.
4) Eh, never really thought about it. I do think Danny would take an interest in music due to her influence though.
5) I love it.
