Wait no longer! The Moment is finally here!

Ladies and Gentlemen, DragonsFire Entertainment proudly presents the next action packed adventure in the Paw Patrol universe!

Welcome to the exciting premiere of Paw Patrol and the Raiders of the Lost Ark!

You are in for a wild ride starring two of what most fans consider the most unappreciated characters, Rocky and Zuma! But before you get on, I must address some business first...

First of all, Like Temple of Doom, this story is an adaptation of the first Indiana Jones movie of the same name! It is a tribute to one of the most treasured pieces of cinema of all time.

The events of the film have been tweaked to fit the Paw Patrol universe better. That means that Rocky is in no way taking Indiana's place and neither is Zuma. Although The story does greatly follow the movie's plot and some lines are from the movie, it is by no means a blatant copy paste job.

That being said, I must also state that you are in no way required to view the movie itself to enjoy this fic. Although I do recommend the film to anyone wanting to experience an action packed adventure, it is not necessary to read this story.

Also, if you recall in the DragonsFire Presents earlier, I encouraged everyone to ask questions relating to this fic so that everyone could be prepared. I only got one however so I will answer it now...

Since Rubble & Crew are set to make their appearance in this fic, does that mean that any of the extended Paw Patrol Characters (Liberty, Rex, Tuck and Ella, Cat Pack, etc.) be in the DragonsFire Universe as well?

A little bit of a broader question but a great question no doubt. The simple answer is that of course! If they at one time appeared in any one of Paw Patrol episodes, spin offs, or movies, they will at one point make an appearance in the DragonsFire universe when there presence is needed.

Next, I have an obligation to state that I do not own Paw Patrol or any of it's characters, just any OCs I have made for this story. I also of course do not own the plot of Raiders of the Lost Ark as that honor goes to great George Lucas and Steven Spielberg!

With all that out of the way, it is now time for the most action packed Paw Patrol adventure yet!

Please indulge and enjoy Paw Patrol and the Raiders of the Lost Ark!

The Glorious Golden Monket

An artifact that has been sought after for years at this point. The museums around the Adventure Plateau have expressed their overwhelming interest in having it in their halls and will pay top dollar to get it.

The reason it hasn't been retrieved is because you had to venture deep into the Adventure Jungleland, find the hidden temple in the plethora of trees, make it past the elaborate traps the hostile natives set, get the idol, and make it out, and that's if you avoid the aggressive monkey tribe who don't want their precious relic in your paws.

Thus the reason why I never had any interest in the idol myself. Not that I'm scared, Just that the idol is important to the monkey tribe.

Even though I've had many adventures gathering all sorts of ancient artifacts to help out with the Adventure Bay Museum and fund my inventions, I still have my morals and ethics. Taking an Idol away from an active tribe goes against that.

Thus, the reason why when my long-time friend and fellow teammate, Tracker asked for me to come with and help getting it, I turned him down. Though I still felt bad when I did.

His owner and longtime friend of the Paw Patrol, Carlos, has contracted a rare disease and can't afford treatment, driving Tracker to go after the Idol to help his best friend. A couple weeks later, Carlos came to the lookout, completely sick as a dog, and told me that he had lost contact with Tracker. I first shooed the worries away, until he told me who Tracker went with. My twin sister, Scarlet.

Scarlet is probably the worst dog in the world to trust. She'll agree to help you, but the second she sees her chance, she'll double cross you ten times over and leave you with nothing including your life, if it gets that far.

Despite the many times she's stood in my way, stolen artifacts, and killed, I still….love her. Not just because she's the only real family I have left, but also, I'm the reason she turned down such a dark path.

Early in our lives, Scarlet and I were in the hands of an owner who cared more about alcohol than us. He barely knew we existed and when he did, abused us any way he could. Why? I don't know, I don't even remember the scumbag's name, just the beatdowns, spray downs, and talkdowns we endured.

Those were the only days where we had any sense of a bond. Picking each other up and helping one another through the pain until one day, I couldn't take it anymore. After being bullied for so long, I took off into the night without telling my sister and didn't look back.

In the years that followed I hadn't heard anything from her until my first trip to Wintergreen, where I found out she became loyal with Mayor Humdinger, and help him steal a powerful emerald from a wolf pack, and since then, has been a relentless dog that will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

She's never forgiven for leaving her and I don't expect her to ever do. I abandoned her when she needed me and because of that, she's turned into a dog with no compassion and regards for anyone she hurts. I say that with a shattered heart, as someone who still loves her and takes full responsibility for what she has become.

Does she still love me as much as I still love her? I never know with her.

That's why as soon as I heard her name, my worries jumped to eleven for Tracker. Immediately get to the jungle and started making my way through with some local dogs to help me. Hoping that Tracker was okay and that Scarlet hasn't pulled the trigger yet.

A tingling feeling makes me believe that I am way too late.

Chapter 1: The Golden Monket

Adventure Jungleland, 2032

Deep in the Adventurous Jungleland of the Adventure Plateau were four dogs trekking through the thick jungle. Being very cautious of their surroundings as they were within earshot of the tribal Monkets, an unwelcoming monkey tribe who will kill on sight.

A mixed breed of sorts is leading the group with a big pack on his back and a raggedy and aged baseball cap on. The pack has two arms coming out of it ending with metallic looking hands that were effectively pulling vines, branches, and brushes out of his way. Being followed by three chihuahuas who agreed to help the dog at a high price of course, being on their toes for the tribe that were lurking around.

A thick patch of vines blocks the group's way in which the mixed breed signals for one of the chihuahuas with a machete to cut their way through. It effectively works as they were allowed to go further thanks to the dog's efforts.

The chihuahua gets ahead of them a little bit when he slashes some vines away and reveals an intimidating monkey statue with bats shooting out from behind.

The chihuahua screams for his life and runs back with his tail between his legs. The mixed breed barley acknowledges the runaway and eyes the statue.

The two chihuahuas behind him gulp as they know this was the Monkets trying to scare off intruders, debating on withier or not they should follow their associate.

After the dog's interest in the statue was quelled, he continued past it, the two behind exchanging looks in disbelief before following him, against their anxiety.

A little bit into the jungle, after crossing small creeks and passing by hundreds of trees, the leader spots something sticking on a nearby tree. The mixed breed gets up to it, and uses his mechanical hands to pull it out, sniffing it to determine that it is a singular dart laced with poison, dropping the dart before he walks away while the two chihuahuas run up to it.

One of them, named Sappy, picks the dart up himself. "The Monkets are near." He gives a quick lick and immediately spits. "Poison's still fresh. Their following us."

The other one grabs it from him and gives a dead look. "If they knew we were here, they would've killed us already."

Over back to the mixed breed, who was now standing in front of a small clearing, observing the field. One of his hands swings around, prompting Sappy to quickly go up to him and hand him a raggedy map that was in two. The mixed breed brings the map up to his face and looks over it and the clearing as Sappy watches.

However, the other chihuahua had a bright idea. While the dog was busy studying over the map, he pulled out a canine's revolver and aimed it right at the mixed breed's back. Pulling the hammer back to fire.

Unfortunately for him, his target perks at the click of the gun. Before the chihuahua could fire, another mechanical hand suddenly shoots out from the dog's pack, and grabs the shooter's paw, squeezing it tightly, nearly breaking his paw as he drops his gun with a sharp yelp.

The hand lets go of the chihuahua who quickly whimpers away as the mixed breed just watches the dog run. He gives a suspicious look to Sappy, who raises his paws up and shakes his head, telling the treasure hunter that he didn't have the same idea.

He shifts his eyes away from Sappy to a certain spot that looks a little like a pathway up. Climbing up the path and spots what looks to be an entrance tunnel secluded by brushes and trees.

"There it is." He nods. "There's the entrance to the temple."

Sappy comes up behind him as the mixed breed pulls out a bag from his pack and fills it with sand.

"This is where Tracker was last seen." He says while tying the sack shut.

"Friend of yours?" Sappy asks.

"Oh yeah he was." The dog answers with a bit of dread. "He was a real good friend."

The dog reaches into Sappy's pack for a torch as Sappy asks. "Are you sure about this senior Rocky? I mean, nobody has come out of their alive."

"I know, including my friend." Rocky replies before he lights the torch and hands it to Sappy before making his way in the temple. "Come on."

Sappy gulps before he follows Rocky into the temple. Thinking about the money he was about to make, which was the only reason he's helping this mongrel in the first place.

The entrance way was a dark and ambient tunnel. Had it not been for the torch, they wouldn't have been able to see anything in front of them.

The two follow down the dark tunnel that seemed to go down forever, swiping away cobwebs along the way. Then Sappy notices something on Rocky's back. "Pst…..Senior."

Rocky turns his head around and sees what looked to be tens of tarantulas along his back from head to tail.

The mixed breed shakes off the tarantulas, making sure that none was on him before he motions for Sappy to come closer and turn around himself, revealing hundreds of tarantulas on him. Way more than what were on Rocky.

Sappy tenses a little as Rocky brushes the spiders off him. Once they were clean, Rocky turns to continue back down the tunnel with Sappy in tow. Sappy shaking his head at determined dog.

"No money is worth this." He growls to himself.

A little ways in, the tunnel starts to shrink to where the ceiling was just above their heads and seems to gradually curve right a few yards ahead of them, though it was easier to see thanks to the holes that were now along the walls, allowing sunlight in.

Before Sappy can take a step into the secluded lights, Rocky suddenly stops him with a leg. "Hold it! Stay out of the light."

Sappy holds still as Rocky carefully walks around the beam, having to crouch down to his belly to clear it completely. However, his curiousness got the better of him, suddenly turning towards the light and waves his paw through it. A sudden snap sounds before bamboo spikes swings down on either side, nicking Rocky as jumps out of the way.

One dog was not lucky though, as Sappy screams at the sight of an impaled chihuahua who'd looked and smelled like he'd been there for at least a week. Due to how decayed it looked, it was almost unrecognizable as a chihuahua. However, Rocky does in fact recognize him.

If the red scarf and the olive-green outback hat didn't give it away, the half-decayed face did, belonging to Rocky's dear friend and the jungle rescue dog of Paw Patrol.

"Tracker." Rocky breathes as his heart freezes solid. Staring into Tracker's limp face, while Sappy hyperventilates.

At first glance, it seems to be an ignorant mistake, but Rocky knew better and he knew Tracker knew too. He didn't make mistakes like this. Even though he had a fear of the dark and would've been tempted to get near it, he wasn't stupid and would've seen the obvious trap.

This was no accident; it was a murder and Rocky had no doubt who the assailant was.

He picks Tracker's hat that had fallen to his paws and glances at it subliminally.

Tracker was a dear friend to Rocky. A dog who was always in high spirit and very adventurous. Always did anything for his friends and his owner, which was what drove him out here in the first place.

He looks back up to the deceased Tracker and subtly whines. The right thing to do would be to pull him off the spikes and bring him home, but due to the current state of the body and how long it's been there, there's no telling how many diseases are on the poor chihuahua. Meaning that Rocky begrudgingly, has to leave him be, impaled on the bamboo spikes forever, alone in this secluded temple, and not home where he belongs.

He stores Tracker's hat in his pack as it probably was the only thing he could bring back for Carlos.

He then turns to the shell-shocked Sappy and sternly reminds him. "Stay out of the light."

Sappy furiously nods in acknowledgment as Rocky turns to continue into the temple. Sappy skittishly follows, stepping where Rocky steps and doing his best to keep out of the beams of light.

His back leg briefly brushed it, and another trap was activated. The spikes nick his rump, causing him to yelp and run to Rocky, holding him in terror like a damsel in distress. Rocky shakes his head and pushes him off before continuing down the temple, getting up to a corner rounding right.

As he slowly turns the corner, Rocky eyes the room in front of them in awe. Straight ahead was the Glorious Golden Monket, A small golden monkey idol depicting a monkey sitting firmly with two rubies for eyes, holding up two golden bananas. It is said to have deity like powers that the Monkets worship like it like a god. Standing on a circular pedestal in a large chamber straight ahead of them.

Rocky was relieved that the Idol was still there and hadn't been taken by his sister. Though he was against nabbing it based on his ethics, it was only a matter of time before it eventually will be gone and ran through the black market. Not to mention, Rocky felt obligated to fulfill Tracker's wishes, and help Carlos like he was before.

While Rocky was in deep thought, Sappy formed a big smile on his face, and started making his way to the altar. "It's there! There is nothing to fear here!"

Rocky catches him with a forepaw and pushes him against the trail. "That's what scares me."

The mixed breed surveys the chamber taking notice of the tiled floor all around the walkway leading up to the Idol, with diamond shaped tiles centering each of them.

Rocky takes the torch from Sappy and brushes dirt, grass, and sticks away from one of the tiles, revealing a small crevice in between them. Rocky sets the torch down square on the tile and pushes it in, and a dart shoots out from the wall in front of them. The torch blocks it from sticking right into Rocky's face.

He gives the torch back to Sappy. "Stay right here." Rocky points.

"As you say senior." Sappy acknowledges as Rocky rises to his hinds and begins walking in the space between the hostile tiles.

He wasn't very good at walking on two paws as almost every step, he had to regain his balance, but somehow, he was able to keep himself from plopping back down. The inevitable happens though when he gets up to the steps. Stubbing his toes on the base which causes him to double down to his fours.

Sappy held his breath, expecting the worst but luckily, Rocky managed to land his forepaws in between tiles, saving him from the plethora of poison darts that would've shot at him. He brings his hinds up with him and continues his journey to the idol. Taking one step at a time and closely watching his every step.

After successfully getting up to the pedestal with no more hiccups, Rocky raises up on the hinds again and locks eyes with the Glorious Golden Monket. It's golden body nearly blinding his eyes, telling him that it's more than likely made of solid gold. He gets the sandbag he made earlier, judging the weight of the idol. Knowing that the idol is on a sensitive pressure plate, meaning that if there was any change in the weight for a split second, a sure trap will spring.

He feels that he may have to lighten the bag up a little, so he reaches into the bag and pulls some sand out, letting it spill to the ground, before letting his mechanical hand hold the sack, while readying the other one to make the switch as Sappy watches on his toes.

Rocky breathes to keep calm. His mechanical hand inching ever closer to grab the Idol while the other slowly brings the bag closer to the idol.

Then, In the blink of an eye, Rocky snatches the idol and sets the bag in its place. The mixed breed holds his breath, waiting for the trap to spring, but to his grace, everything stayed still. Sappy lets out a big smile as Rocky seemed to have avoided the trap.

But, when Rocky turns around to leave, the pedestal suddenly starts sinking into the floor. Rocky freezes when he feels and hears a sudden rumbling around him.

He looks back and gasps to see the room behind him suddenly crumble to pieces. Instantly, Rocky runs from the collapsing chamber, inadvertently stepping on the tiles, causing the darts to shoot and wheeze by him.

Sappy starts running himself, seeing a slab slowly come down in front of them in an attempt to trap them both.

"Hurry senior! The door's closing!" He calls out.

By some miracle or dumb luck, not a single dart sticks Rocky as he speeds through the hall and catches up to Sappy, putting more into his step when he sees a stone door slowly come down.

Before he could safely get out, part of the floor in front of him suddenly crumbled, separating Rocky from Sappy and creating a large gap.

Rocky straddles a little, wondering if he could make the jump as Sappy looks to him.

"No time to think senior." Sappy says. "You miss, I catch!"

Rocky nods as he then jumps over the gap. However, it just wasn't enough as he ended up slamming his belly over the edge, almost knocking the wind out of him. His nails dug into the ground were the only thing stopping him from falling.

The Idol plops out from his pack's hands and skids over to Sappy's feet. Sappy looks down at it as Rocky yelps out. "Sappy! Help me!"

Sappy looks up at the struggling dog, then back down at the idol.

"Sappy?! Come on pal! Help me up!"

Sappy grows a menacing smile and picks the idol up himself and takes one last look at the doomed mixed breed.

"Adios, senior." He says, as he takes off, leaving Rocky dangling with the Glorious Golden Monket.

Rocky's claws evidentially slip, but before he meets his end, Rocky instinctly chomps at some vines, allowing him to hang off the side a little longer. He smiled in relief before the vine gave a little, literally hanging on by a thread of the vine.

Thinking quickly, Rocky pedaled his hinds and climbed over the ledge before the vine eventually snapped. Thankfully, he was safe but not for long as he sees the door now three quarters of the way down and seconds away from trapping him in the collapsing temple.

Rocky bolts for it, trying to beat the door diving for the ground. His baseball cap flips off as he safely slides under the door to the other side in time. Rocky reaches a paw back and retrieves his hat right before the door closes with a thud. Leaving it would be a travesty.

The mixed breed clutches his chest and breathes a sigh of relief that he made it out but turns around and yelps at the sight of Sappy, impaled on spikes in front of him.

Poor fellow must've forgot about the trap Rocky warned him about earlier and paid an unfortunate price for it. He sees the idol below him and picks it up in his hand.

"Adios Sappy." Rocky nods to him before being stopped by the sight of Tracker again. His heart deflates as he prepares to say on final goodbye to him. Contemplating whether he should take the chihuahua's body with him despite the diseases he has, or at least pull him off the spikes.

Before he could decide, his ears caught a rolling sound. He turns around and gasps as a massive boulder was now rolling right for him!

Rocky takes off as fast as he can from the giant boulder, setting off all the traps in the area. However, the boulder naturalized them. The dog scrambled to outrun the boulder but noticed that the boulder was faster than he thought as it was already right at his tail.

Luckly, he could see the entrance coming up. Rocky pushed himself to run faster, dipping his head to get a little more speed. Hoping not to become a Rocky sandwich.

The entrance was now right in front of him, a wall of cobwebs was the only thing blocking his way. Once he felt the boulder brush his tail, he dove through the cobwebs in a last-ditch effort. Tumbling out of the temple and down the hill as the boulder finally stuck in the entrance way, stopping it with a thud.

Rocky tumbles down to the jungle floor, finally stopping with a gruff and covered in cobwebs, but he was alive and safe.

Or so he thought, for as soon as he rose back up on his rump and shakes the cobwebs off, he sees himself surrounded by monkeys with blow darts and bows at the ready.

His face falls as he suddenly realizes that he was surrounded by the entire Monket tribe, who were not pleased with their Glorius Golden Monket, right in his mechanical hands like a caught criminal.

He then notices the dog who tried to shoot him earlier, blankly staring at him, not even blinking. Rocky wondered if he rushed back and warned the Monkets of their idol in spite, but no soon had he noticed him, he slumps to the ground with what seemed to be hundreds of poison darts on his back like he was a pin cushion. Then, a blood red coated Boston Terrier slowly comes into view with a menacing smirk causing Rocky to grit his teeth.

"Rocky." She slurs, getting right in the mixed breed's face. "It's very predictable for you to think you could snatch the Golden Monket from me. You must've thought I gave up or something."

The Boston Terrier then holds out a paw to Rocky. Anticipating the mixed breed to drop the idol. He growls at the motion, prompting the Monkets to tense their weapons. Seeing he had no choice to, Rocky's hands finally drop the Idol right in her paw. Scarlet chuckles as she turns tail and walks towards the aggressive Monkets who pay her no attention, still aiming at Rocky. Not even batting an eye at her.

"I have to say Rock, I can't thank you enough for your great contribution." Scarlet genuinely says as she looks over the idol. "I thought for sure after your chihuahua friend made his fatal mistake, that I would never lay my eyes on such a beautiful idol."

"He made a fatal mistake alright." Rocky grit through his teeth.

Scarlet spins back around at her brother, her smile slightly diminished.

"I'd lose that hostile tone of yours bro. Might I remind you of your current situation right now."

Rocky pans around his surroundings as the Monkets keep their weapons dead on him. He then growls a small smirk at his sister.

"It's too bad the Monkets don't know you the way I do Scarlet."

"Yeah yeah." Scarlet smugs. "You could warn them. If you only spoke Monket."

Scarlet then spins around and holds the idol up above her head. "Ukiki ki ki! Kikiki!"

When she says that, the monkeys lowered their weapons and bow before the terrier. Rocky sees this as the moment to escape as he suddenly takes off into the jungle.

As he brushes by Scarlet, she watches him run out of sight before turning back to the worshiping Monkets and swipes her throat with her paw. "Shee!" Giving the command to chase down the mixed breed and kill with gritted teeth. The Monkets cry out before they run after Rocky, while Scarlet was left all alone with their precious idol, smiling at it and laughing menacingly.

Rocky runs for his life through the jungle with the army of Monkets hot on his tail.

He could hear the monkeys hostile screeches and feel the darts and arrows wheeze by him while also seeing them swinging on vines on either side of him.

One monkey managed to swing right in front of him, which prompted Rocky to slam his shoulder right into it. The monkey was propelled backwards and Rocky ran over him. He had no time to tussle with any of them.

Meanwhile, on the shore of a river, was Rocky's getaway. A sizable helicopter with it's pilot, Skye, relaxing on the shore, taking in the sights.

Although she was enjoying being in the jungle, there was a lingering worry in her mind.

Rocky asked her to give him a ride to the Jungleland so they could search for Tracker who'd gone missing. Since she was on vacation in Adventure Bay, she agreed to go to help her old friend and to find another one.

The cockapoo hoped for the best. She hasn't seen Tracker in a while thanks to how busy she was these days. It would be a joyous occasion to see him again, but a pit in her stomach kept saying to her that it was one wish too many.

A distant sound brings her out of her thoughts as she looks to where she thought it was coming from. She doesn't see anything at first, giving her a puzzled look, until Rocky suddenly comes into view, speedily running as fast as he could. Screaming out, "SKYE! SKYE! START THE COPTER NOW!"

Skye then sees a whole army of monkeys chasing after him. She scurries to her copter. Flopping into the pilot's seat and starts it up. Flipping down her goggles before she takes another glance at the onslaught of monkeys chasing her friend through the field.

Some more Monkeys make their efforts to stop him, but Rocky quickly made them pay with punches and kicks, before continuing his run to Skye's copter.

She lifts up and lowers a rope below the helicopter and flies towards Rocky. The mixed breed spots this and runs a little faster to the rope. Jumping up, and grabbing it with his teeth.

As Skye pulls up, a couple monkeys jumps right on the mixed breed's body and bites his sides, causing Rocky to grith his teeth harder before he elbows one in the face and kicks the other off.

One of them hangs on, continuing to scratch and claw at Rocky's sides, the pain nearly made the dog let go.

Arrows shot past the two, as Rocky and the monkey fought on the rope until one seep into the monkey's back, making him to scream out in pain and let go of Rocky. Falling flat on his back, pushing the arrow through its body, ending its life shortly after.

Rocky hangs on the rope as Skye retracts it into the copter, flying away from the jungle with the monkeys trying to shoot him with their bows, but obviously failing.

Rocky gets situated in the copter as Skye looks back at him.

"Are you alright Rocky?" She asks.

"Yeah….barley." Rocky answers as he cranes his neck. "Man those monkeys are relentless."

"It looked like it." Skye says with a smile, but fades when she realizes that it was just Rocky. A sick feeling formed in her as she was reminded of why they were out here. "Di-Did you find Tracker?"

Rocky slowly pans over to Skye, who is now back looking where she was flying. The recent finding enters Rocky's mind like an already painful memory. Pulling out Tracker's hat.

"Yeah…I did…." Rocky gravely replies. "Well….what was left of him."

The cockapoo gasps, snapping her head back around, seeing Tracker's hat in Rocky's paws, confirming it for her, tears starting to leak from her eyes. Had it not been for her flying the copter, she would've immediately fallen to cry. "No…..Tr-Tracker….."

Rocky however didn't move. Staring at the now sacred relic. Fully taking it in that his friend was gone.

If only he went with him or at least convinced him not to receive Scarlet's "help", knowing how far she would go to get what she wanted.

He closes his eyes and buries his head into the hat. "Farwell, my amigo."

Scarlet has no doubt done an unspeakable act and Rocky didn't even get the Glorious Golden Monket to fulfill Tracker's wishes!

A thrilling start to this fic indeed, and it will be more enthralling as the story goes on!
