He gasped for breath as he finally came up for air from Azula's hunger, "Azula wait, I want to talk to you—"

"We'll talk later okay? But right now I need you. I had that filthy fucking animal kiss me and I hated it. I just want to feel you, here and with me okay?" Azula asked and Percy was surprised to see a vulnerability in her golden eyes. She was right, they would talk later, right now Azula needed reassurance. That he was with her and wasn't ever leaving her side. Percy made sure to lock her door before kissing her as he scooped her up in his arms and deposited her on her bed.

Despite the time, Zuko made his way through the halls to talk with his sister after speaking with his father for the first time in 5 years. He turned the corner as he strode towards Azula's chambers as he reached her door, rapping on it lightly with his knuckles.

"Azula open up, we need to talk."

"Not the best time Zuko!" her voice called out from behind her door.

"Azula this is serious, I just talked with father."

"Good for you, I need a minute!" her voice rang out an octave too loud through the door.

"Azula? What's going on?!" Zuko demanded hearing the distinction from his sister's normal tone.

"Nothing!"

"Open this door before I burn it down!" he demanded as his right hand became wreathed in fire.

"Zuko I need one second and then—Oh Agni right there—and then we can talk," her voice came out in gasps.

"Azula? I'm coming in!" Zuko yelled as he prepared to blast the door down before it swung open revealing a very irate and pissed Azula who dragged him inside, slammed the door behind him, and then proceeded to slap him across the face.

"Ow! What was that for?" Zuko demanded heatedly as he rubbed his cheek, as he looked around Azula's bedroom and Percy laying in his sister's bed shirtless—and Percy was laying in his sister's bed shirtless!

"What the fuck are you doing in here?!" Zuko demanded pointing at his friend who rolled his eyes before flipping him off.

"Ow!" Zuko proclaimed again as Azula slapped him again, leaving matching handprints on both sides of his face.

"I swear to Agni I will burn your manhood off if you don't pull yourself together and tell me what happened before kindly getting out," Azula threatened with narrowed eyes.

"You two—you were—" Zuko stammered as he tried to diffuse the handprints across his face.

Azula rolled her eyes, "Yes Zuko we were having sex if you must know until you so rudely barged in here."

Zuko choked on air, "I don't wanna know what you two are getting up to, you're my little sister!"

Azula shrugged easily, "Then don't ask stupid questions."

Zuko gaped at his sister before looking at his friend who was stretched out in Azula's bed like it was his own who met his gaze with irritated swirling green eyes, "Zuko I swear to the gods I will get you back for this," Percy threatened darkly.

( - )

Azula hummed thoughtfully as she leaned against Percy in her bed, pondering Zuko's words, "I don't know why you're so worked up Zuko, it sounds like it went well to me."

"He nearly called me on the lightning right away!"

Azula shrugged, "Yes and you played it off very well as I instructed you to. Father thinks you've become more adept at politics as well as getting more powerful with your bending. Unless someone challenges you to an Agni Kai in the next week or so I'm confident I can teach you lightning generation."

"And what if someone does?"

"Well, then you will simply have to destroy them so badly that you can say they weren't even worth your time or effort to create lightning."

Zuko grumbled but relented on that topic for the moment, "What about the Avatar?"

"What about him?" Azula asked with genuine confusion coloring her voice.

"If he survived, then this will all come crashing down on me."

"Zuko did you see the lightning bolt I hit him with? No way he can just walk that off."

"He could if Katara healed him right after."

"Zuko they were flying out of the city in a panic, it's not like she had a source of water atop the bison to heal him with."

Zuko grimaced, an expression that was quickly noted by Azula, "You're saying the peasant had an extra source of water with her? Because we had her waterskin removed when we captured her."

"You know the silver pendant around her neck? Well it's hollow, it has spirit water from the North Pole inside it."

"What?!" Azula squawked in outrage, "And you're just telling me this now?!"

"I forgot about it," Zuko mumbled as he ducked away from Azula's golden gaze.

"I forgot what I had for breakfast yesterday, there's a difference between breakfast and the damned peasant having a way to heal the Avatar Zuko!" Azula shouted at her brother before calming as Percy placed a hand on her arm.

"Are you sure it was spirit water?" Percy asked his friend quietly.

Zuko looked up at Percy, "Katara said it was, she said they'd been saving it for something important."

Percy raised an eyebrow at this, "She just told you all this?" he asked skeptically.

Heat rose to Zuko's face, "Um she said that she might be able to heal my scar with it."

"Oh man, Mai's gonna kill her," Percy chuckled.

"Can we focus here?" Azula asked aloud before directing her next question at her boyfriend, "Is it possible she could have saved the Avatar with the spirit water?"

Percy shrugged, "I mean it's possible. I'd say unlikely because that's not a lot of water to work with and your lightning bolt was massive. But I did create a storm more powerful than the one down in the catacombs when I had a large amount at my disposal that had hail large enough to go through solid steel so I know firsthand how incredible the spirit water can be."

Azula pinched her brow, "Of course it is. Okay, not a single word of this leaves this room obviously. You're going to hire an assassin to track down the Avatar's allies and see if the Avatar is alive. If so, make sure he kills him properly," she said, jabbing a finger into Zuko's chest.

"What? How would I do that?"

Azula stared at her brother as she restrained herself from slapping him again, "Are you the prince of the Fire Nation or not? I'm pretty sure you can afford to hire somebody you idiot. But make sure they're the best."

"You don't have any recommendations?"

"I don't ever need anyone to do my dirty work, that's what I have Percy for," Azula replied as she shot a smile at Percy.

"Okay, find and hire an assassin. Piece of cake," Zuko drawled sarcastically.

Azula nodded in agreement, "If that's all, then please get out Zuko before I give you another scar."

Zuko wasted no time, quickly scrambling out the door before his sister could unleash her wrath upon him.

Percy chuckled as his friend fled out the door as Azula locked the door behind her brother and came back into bed, planting a hungry kiss on his lips. He looked at her questioningly as she slipped a hand under the blankets and continued downward.

Azula smirked at Percy's expression, "You didn't think I was gonna let that idiot stop me from what we were doing before did you?"

( - )

Azula snuggled more into Percy's stirring form as he rose from his slumber slowly. A small smile played on her face as Percy pressed a kiss to the back of her head. She hummed contently as she laid there, enjoying the warmth and comfort he provided.

"I think I might have killed Raijin yesterday if it wasn't for Ty Lee."

The somber tone he confesses to her with jolts her awake completely as her eyes snap open, "What?"

Percy lets out a long, heavy sigh behind her, "I just—I saw him touching you, kissing you and I just felt such rage rise up in me. I wanted to hurt him Zula, badly. Bloodbend him until he apologized and begged me to stop," he reveals slowly like he's scared that by admitting it aloud will make it true.

Azula ponders this new information for a while, trying to match the figure holding her gently in his arms with the event he just described aloud. She can't see it though, perhaps she is rubbing off on him too much.

"Do you still want to?" she asks.

Percy is silent behind her, "I don't know," he eventually states.

"Yes or no?"

"Maybe? I don't think I should want to… but I want him gone Azula. He's only causing us problems."

Azula turns over to look at him at this statement, gazing into his sea-green eyes. Usually, they are warm and friendly, like a gentle wave pushing a ship along. But now they are cold and stormy, like the dangerous waves that drags a ship under into the depths.

Anyone is capable of good and evil.

Even Percy.

Azula hears herself in Percy's words and in that moment she sees another path open up before her. One where she allows this rage to fester within Percy, to continue building up before using it. She knows firsthand just what a slippery destructive slope unchecked rage and anger can be. One that can be very difficult to climb back out of. Percy wields such amazing power. Power that can bring great healing or harrowing destruction. Build a city or tear it down.

She reaches up and touches his face gently, watching as he relaxes into her touch, closing his eyes as he presses his head into her hand. It's all right there at her fingertips. All of Percy's power and strength, and it's all hers to command and use... she'd be lying if it wasn't appealing. She's trained all her life to grow her power and control it. As she leans forward to press a chaste kiss against his lips, she feels the storm waiting to be unleashed within him. It's all brimming under the surface, held in check by his good nature. All that power… all for her.

She wraps her arms around him as she tucks her head into his broad chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart. Azula considers the options before them and realizes it is up to her to choose what comes next.

-1 Week Time Skip-

Azula finishes putting on her black armor and was getting ready to braid her hair to put her top piece in before someone knocks on the door, "Who is it?" she called out.

"Handsome, green-eyed, bodyguard waiting with your birthday gift."

Azula calms the butterflies in her stomach as she goes to the door before Percy rushes inside, sweeping her into his arms as he spins her around. She laughs and swats his chest, "Put me down you imbecile."

Percy sets her on her feet before kissing her, "Happy 17th birthday Azula," he murmurs as he withdrew from their kiss.

Azula smiles up at her boyfriend, "So are you gonna let me see what's in the bag or not?"

He laughed, "Impatient much?"

"I have things to do before tonight's celebration."

"That's fair," Percy conceded as he set the bag on her bed and Azula made her way over to it.

"Go ahead," he gestured at the red bag on her bed.

Azula smirked before diving into the bag, tossing red wrapping paper over her shoulder as Percy spoke, "I know you're not a big jewelry girl, but my princess needs—"

"The Earth Kingdom crown?!" Azula exclaimed in surprise as she pulled the diamond-encrusted symbol of the Earth Kingdom monarchy out of the bag.

Percy nodded, "A crown for my queen. Besides, you needed a trophy for your accomplishment," he said with a smile before faltering under Azula's gaze, "You don't like it do you?" he trailed off slowly.

"Well it's a bit gaudy, ridiculously heavy, and yet... it's perfect," Azula purred with a cheshire smile.

"It is?"

"Well you're correct, I do need a crown to show my position and power. Plus I do need something to remind me of the glory days in Ba Sing Se, the Dai Li definitely don't have the gleam of this," Azula said admiring the golden inlays of the crown, "Though I am curious how you managed to get this."

Percy smirked, "Zuko and I get up to all kinds of trouble, I can't go revealing all our secret escapades."

Azula rolled her eyes in mock exasperation, "I knew you two were gonna get in trouble."

"Hey nobody even realized it was missing," Percy protested in defense.

"Thank you Percy," Azula said as she smiled up at him.

"You are most welcome love," Percy smiled before leaning down to meet her.

( - )

"Are you ready to go dress shopping?"

"What? Why what's wrong with the dresses I already have?" Azula asks her friend with a frown.

"These old things?" Ty Lee asks as she rifles through her closet wrinkling her nose at Azula's question, "They won't do at all. No, we need to get something new."

Mai leaned against a wall in her room examining her nails with a bored expression on her face, "That's exactly what I said but she insisted that we needed new dresses."

Azula turned to regard her friend as she spoke, "I think I'll work with what I've got, there's no way I'm gonna go dress shopping on my birthday."

( - )

"I can't believe I'm going dress shopping on my birthday," Azula muttered as she was dragged along with Mai by their enthusiastic friend. Ty Lee ignored her commentary as they moved through the bustling streets of the Imperial City.

Azula's glad Ty Lee knows where she's going because they've taken so many turns down alleys that she's lost now. Eventually, Ty Lee brings them to a halt outside of the royal tailor's shop because 'where else could possibly hold a dress worthy of a princess' Ty Lee had asked with a voice that said this was the only correct answer to her question.

Immediately once they step inside they are quickly attended to by a multitude of workers who heap compliments on her and birthday wishes. Azula does suppose it is a rare occurrence that she is here, usually all she needs is her trademark black armor outlined in gold.

As a worker begins to take Azula's measurements, Ty Lee begins to chat with the worker while Mai has stalked away, examining the aisles of dresses on display. Ty Lee's enthusiasm for tonight's celebration of Azula's birthday and the fall of Ba Sing Se is almost as similar to Azula's readiness to execute her plan tonight.

It's only when the worker is finished and walks away from them that Azula leans in so she can whisper to Ty Lee, "I'm going to deal with Raijin tonight."

Ty Lee immediately gives her undivided attention as she asks her, "Do you need any help?"

Azula has to stifle the urge to laugh, she can't possibly see Ty Lee wanting to be a part of what she is going to do to Raijin tonight, "No, I've got it all planned out. One of the serving girls is going to make sure he leaves the party very early tonight unless he wants to hurl his guts up in front of everyone. I've got the Dai Li watching over his guest quarters in the palace. I'll only have to put up with him for a little bit tonight before he retreats to his room. Then you, me, and Mai can enjoy our night to the fullest."

"Oh, so Percy won't be enjoying the night with us?" Ty Lee asks with a small smirk.

"Of course Percy and Zuko will be with us, I'm going to be stealing your date all night probably."

"Fine by me Zula, we both know if you weren't being forced to go with Raijin you two would be all over each other from the get-go," Ty Lee said with a dismissive hand wave before lowering her voice to a conspiring whisper that Azula leaned forward to hear, "So how are you two doing in bed?"

"Ty Lee!" Azula exclaimed loudly as her friend began laughing.

( - )

It might have surprised some people, but Azula did like dressing up nicely for occasions. She enjoyed the pampering, the servants rushing around to please her, and the stylist turning her hair into a beautiful cascade of curls she could have never done on her own. She had decided to wear it down, she knew Percy liked her hair down better than in her intricate braid. She cut a striking figure out of her usual armor she thought to herself as she gazed in the mirror, twisting and turning as she looked for any flaws. Azula was a perfectionist and this would be no different, she was not going to attend the feast and dance with a single hair out of place.

"Azula you look amazing," Ty Lee gushed and Mai echoed her sentiments.

She glanced over at her friends who each had already undergone their own transformations at the hand of the stylist. Ty Lee was radiant and a small ray of jealousy cut into Azula's thoughts at how effortless it was for her before fighting it down.

"It will do, thank you," Azula said with an appreciative nod in the direction of the stylist who bowed before leaving.

Azula wasn't going to admit it, but Ty Lee's shopping trip had definitely been worth it. The dress she had decided on was a work of art. Tight and revealing in the right places while also remaining elegant and classy as a princess should be. The royal tailors had done a fabulous job on the dress, she only hoped they would have something just as remarkable when it was time for her wedding with Percy. A heavy blush rose to her face at that particular thought as she slipped into her heels before once again regarding herself critically in the mirror.

"Gorgeous," Percy murmured as he walked into the room with Zuko, his eyes immediately snapping over to her.

Her eyes flicker up to his reflection in the mirror as he steps behind her without taking his eyes off her. His warm breath tickles her neck as his fingers trace the green silk material on her back.

"I figured it would be red for sure," he teased her as his green eyes traced down the lines of her dress.

"It matches your eyes," she whispers to him lowly.

He smirks at her and once again her stomach erupts in butterflies. He begins to circle her slowly, watching her like a predator as a shiver runs down her spine at his gaze. She can feel his eyes all over her body as he drinks in her appearance.

She would be remiss if she forgot to mention that he looked resplendent in his dress clothes. She knows that the rose pink vest he's wearing must have taken hours of cajoling and threats from Ty Lee for him to wear it to match her. After tonight, whenever he wears a vest it will be matching her dress, not Ty Lee's.

"The Earth Kingdom crown would go perfectly with this," he murmurs to her.

"I can think of something better that would go with it though," she replies with a smirk of her own.

"And what's that?" he asks.

"You," she tells him as she steps forward, wrapping her arms around him as she pulls him down for a kiss.

It's only the loud coughing from Zuko that ruins the moment and she makes a mental note to make her brother's life miserable.

She links her fingers through Percy's hand as she looks into his eyes, "After tonight we'll be able to do whatever we want in public," she promises him and he nods in agreement. He hasn't pushed or questioned her about her plan for tonight and Azula is glad he trusts her to do it on her own.

Even still she can't help but feel a slight stab of pain as they let go of each other's hand and he heads over to Ty Lee, sliding an arm around her waist. She leads the group out of the door and into the halls. She wants to be walking hand in hand with Percy right now like Zuko and Mai are, but until Raijin has been dealt with she can't.

The royal palace halls are packed with throngs of people. Servants scurry back and forth with drinks and food. Various differently ranked nobles stand around, waiting for the arrival of the royal family to begin.

The people part for her as she leads the group forward. She knows that Percy, Ty Lee, Mai, and Zuko are all walking in pairs behind her. She is the only one walking alone, but that's probably for the best right now. She's on display for all to see, that's essentially what walking the halls of a palace are for. Better for her to shine alone than with her disgusting date.

The gawking gazes directed at her fill her with self-confidence. She turns heads from everyone as she walks by. The burning desire, the curiosity, and quick subtle glances confirm what she already knows. She is the epitome of beauty and perfection.

( - )

Royal events like these always stand on pomp and ceremony. Every bit of nuance involving rank, titles, and privilege dragged out for the occasion.

As was Fire Nation custom, everyone waited to be announced at the top of the grand staircase before descending into the royal ballroom. And as she was the princess of the Fire Nation, only her father and Zuko ranked higher, which meant she had a long wait that was only made worse by her date.

Perhaps Raijin had finally taken the breath mint Percy had advised since she didn't have to turn her head every time he exhaled. Even still, he would need more than good breath to ever hope to compete with Percy. He was just a mortal, trying to match the looks of a god, an impossible task. His nauseating presence was only amplified when what was supposed to be an elegant kiss on the hand felt like she'd been slobbered on by a polar bear dog. The lecherous gaze he gives her definitely bothers Percy, she can tell by the white-knuckled grasp he's squeezing Ty Lee's hand with.

It's only her reassuring look that she's fine and Ty Lee's whispered words in his ear that stop him from doing something rash. Even so, it's probably good that his new title as a Commander isn't extremely high so he descends the stairs with Ty Lee much sooner before her. Anger flashed through her, that should be her on his arm, not Ty Lee. And the person who is the object of her anger is standing right beside her with his arm around her waist. She thinks that he must've felt the temperature rise as her anger radiates out from her as he shifts uncomfortably, withdrawing his arm for the moment. For once, she's thankful for Zuko's presence. He and Mai are waiting with her the entire time and Raijin doesn't try anything. She sends a prayer of thanks up to Agni as she shifts impatiently in her heels.

The Fire Nation is a stickler when it comes to traditions. Dancing is practically a court staple and a must-know for any noble. Azula doesn't mind dancing, she enjoyed the lessons she had been instructed in growing up, finding the patterns and sweeping motions similar to bending in some regards. She'd tried to teach Percy a couple of years ago, it had been a near disaster. She didn't understand how someone so graceful in his swordplay and the footwork required for it could be so bad at dancing, her toes had throbbed the rest of the day from his missteps.

So she's utterly shocked to see him on the dance floor now. He looks completely at ease out there with Ty Lee, like it's as natural as his bending or sword fighting for him right now. He doesn't miss a single beat, and his footwork is impeccable, never wavering as he leads Ty Lee around the floor. After the song finishes he walks off with Ty Lee as the pair sport winning grins. He deposits Ty Lee back in her seat before coming back around to her, holding out his hand as he bows his head, "May I have a dance, my lady?"

"You may," Azula says as she fights down a blush before standing, accepting his outstretched hand as he leads her to the part of the ballroom floor set aside for dancing. Azula decides to follow his lead for the moment, he seemed capable with Ty Lee but she can correct any mistakes he might make as she knows the entire dance by memory.

It's only when she notices the whispering among the nobles as they take the floor that she realizes how many people are watching her. Perhaps she should've done her first dance of the night with someone else. The song starts and Percy pulls her close and she uses the opportunity to whisper a warning in his ear, "Everybody is watching."

Percy smirks down at her, "Of course they are, that was the plan," he says in response. The song begins picking up and Percy executes every movement perfectly before twirling and dipping her much to her surprise and the crowd's enjoyment.

"Since when can you dance like this?" she asks in surprise.

"Demigod," he responds with a smug smirk.

The crowd isn't only watching for their dancing skills, both cut striking figures drawing heated gazes from some while others still are merely curious about the princess and her bodyguard. It isn't until he brings her in close that she can respond, "You realize that doesn't count as an answer to everything right?"

Percy's green eyes shine at her with mischief, "Try me."

He twirls her again before bringing her back close, "I don't think I will. Now tell me," she demands with a bit of heat.

"I didn't know why I needed to learn how to dance back then and I didn't put much effort into it. But now that we're a couple, I realized you deserve nothing less than my absolute best," he says sincerely.

A few complicated patterns give her time to process that before she's back within his grasp, "You really learned all of this to dance with me? When? Who?" she demands.

"Azula," he says in a serious tone, "I would attempt almost anything for you. I convinced Mai to teach me throughout the week in preparation for tonight. Turns out the footwork for dancing is very similar to sword fighting, minus the sword obviously."

If she wasn't being watched by the entire crowd she would slap him, "I told you that when I tried teaching you!"

Percy smiles sheepishly, "I know, I promise I wasn't trying to step on your toes then either. And now that I'm able to dance with my beautiful girlfriend on her birthday… I'd say it was definitely worth it, " he says with a genuine smile.

Azula wants to show him just how much that means to her but for now, settles for a wide smile before whispering to him, "I love you."

Percy breaks out a cocky smile as he replies, "I know."

( - )

"Unbelievable. A disgrace to this nation."

Zuko turned his head to regard Raijin, "Excuse me?" he said in an icy voice.

"Perseus," Raijin spat the name like it was poison, "A waterbender being promoted to commander in the Fire Nation is a travesty to our great lineage. And your sister allowing herself to dance with him, it's humiliating for the Royal Family really," the man said as he met Zuko's gaze.

Zuko fought down the urge to grab his plate full of food and smash it over Raijin's head, "My father himself promoted Percy, and his word is the law. And I hardly think my sister is embarrassing herself by dancing with Percy, he's a stronger bender than you'll ever be."

Raijin growled under his breath at the upstart prince, "Clearly you and your sister have forgotten proper etiquette and respect. Something I will have to teach your sister for when she bears my children."

Forget the plate full of food, Zuko was ready to pop Raijin square in his ugly face with a flaming fist, "Do not speak of my sister that way lest you have to deal with me."

Raijin laughed, "Deal with you? I've heard better threats from a turtle duck. If you ever found the balls to step into an Agni Kai with me I would blast you with my lightning so badly nobody would be able to recognize you from the scar I would deliver."

"I'd like to see you try it you ugly piece of shit. I'd take your lightning and shove it down your throat."

Raijin's hands clenched into fists as he prepared to retort before his stomach heaved and he stood up, rushing for the bathroom as the spiked drinks he'd been downing began to take their effect.

( - )

By now more people have joined them and the dance floor begins to crowd a bit, but they remain the center of attention as people give them a wide berth to move freely. She's glad that she can keep up with Percy's demigod stamina, he doesn't look the slightest bit tired and she knows that her heart is racing a bit.

The song is drawing to a close and Percy takes note, putting her through an array of complex moves before dipping her low as the song ends. He hovers just inches above her, noses almost touching, as she stares into his eyes. She wets her lips in anticipation and when his eyes dart downward, she knows what he's thinking.

Then his eyes flash upward from her to the crowd and the moment is broken as he pulls away. He gives her one last twirl as the crowd claps loudly as Azula nearly lets out a scream of frustration. She'd wanted him to kiss her so badly she'd almost forgotten they were surrounded by the entirety of the Fire Nation for a few seconds. How wrong is it that she can't kiss her boyfriend after a perfect dance without getting crucified by this den of snakes she finds herself amongst.

At least not yet anyway.

( - )

When Percy slips out of the ballroom discreetly, Azula makes sure to wait a few minutes before whispering to Ty Lee who nods at her words before she follows suit, ducking out into the corridor as well. She ducks into a dark, unlocked room, quickly closing and locking it behind her. Percy doesn't waste a moment, trapping her between him and the wall. One hand is pinned above her head and another soon follows. She could struggle but she's perfectly content to let him take control.

She can feel his firm, solid muscles pressed against her soft curves. She takes a devilish delight at how those green eyes that always seem to draw her in like a whirlpool now seem to have a singular focus on where her dress plunges. Percy may be a demigod, but he is still a man.

"Fancy meeting you here," she purrs in a teasing tone.

Eventually, his eyes finish their languid journey and meet her golden gaze, "Almost like you planned it princess," he says, wrapping his tongue around her title in a voice that sends shivers down her spine.

Her pink tongue darts out, wetting her full lips. His eyes are once again drawn to the movement like he was during the end of their dance, with a barely restrained longing of sorts.

"I don't want to go back into the party," she says in a voice that is playful and tempting, but also true.

"And why would I want to take you back there when I have you right here?" he asks as he leans in, brushing his lips against her purposely for just a mere moment and she almost chases them when he pulls backs slightly.

He lets her pull one hand free and she slides it around the back of his neck, drawing him even closer. His skin seems to burn hot as only a firebenders can at the moment.

"Why are you here then?"

"Maybe because I didn't get to do this in there," he answers as he closes the distance, pressing his lips to hers, licking and tasting her in a way that if anyone else would dare to try she'd kill them for. Without hesitation, she opens underneath him and lets him explore. He is like a raging wave and she can feel his power brimming underneath his powerful form as he takes what was denied before. She feels a slight shake and is startled when she realizes her knees are trembling a bit.

Suddenly he withdraws, his warmth and weight no longer pressing against her. She opens her eyes and blinks in confusion at his stormy sea-green eyes that bore into her as he smirks, "I think I'll be waiting in your room princess. Perhaps you should hurry, I'm feeling kind of tired tonight, the dancing wore me out."

And then he's gone, leaving her cold and wanting. She licks her lips, savoring his taste. She should be angry or irritated but all she can feel is a burning passion rising within herself. It seems her boyfriend wants to play games tonight. Azula smirks, Percy has no idea what he's just unleashed. But first, she has one thing that needs to be taken care of.

( - )

Raijin groans as he sits on the edge of his bed with his head in his hands. He'd just finished another session of throwing up in the toilet. His head was throbbing like somebody was hitting it with a hammer and his stomach quavered like he was walking a tightrope. What was supposed to be an exciting night of eating, drinking, and dancing had quickly been turned upside down after 25 minutes of dinner.

He'd even hoped if the night went well that he'd have the crown princess in his room right now. Obviously, that had gone awry when he'd begun feeling sick and been throwing up for the past couple of hours straight. Suddenly a knock sounded on his door, he growled as he stalked to his door before throwing it open. He was flabbergasted to see the princess standing there in his doorway. She still looked stunning in her green silk dress and he smirked, it seemed the princess would be joining him in his chambers after all. He opened his mouth to greet her, but never got the chance.

Azula lashed out like a viper, jabbing Raijin's throat as he went to talk. A pained gargle came out of his mouth as his hands came to his throat as Azula stepped forward and smashed her foot upward into his groin. A muted moan rose from him as he slumped to the floor in pain. Azula stepped by the filth on the floor as she stepped inside Raijin's room. Two Dai Li agents appeared out of the shadows, locking Raijin's door behind him and cuffing the noble with their earthen gloves before dragging him along. Azula opened the sliding doors from Raijin's room to the private sandy courtyard outside used for firebending.

The Dai Li dragged along Raijin before throwing his body face down in the sandy soil. Azula bent over his thrashing form before she executed a series of jabs at the nape of his neck, temporarily paralyzing the man for the moment as a tingle ran down his spinal cord and his chi pathways closed off. He was left helpless, completely immobile, and unable to reach out for his bending as he gargled from his damaged throat.

Azula reached down and grabbed Raijins hair, pulling it as she flipped him over to look at his face. She let out a cruel smirk as she patted his cheek like a pet, "Oh Raijin, look at you now, completely helpless at my feet where you belong."

Raijin tried to speak, to rage and threaten the princess but all that came out was a gargle. "Oh shush," Azula said offhandedly as she put a single finger onto his chest before letting blue flame coat it, burning into Raijins skin.

The man let out a muted howl as he tried to thrash around on the ground but his limbs refused to move much to Azula's amusement as she smirked, keeping her finger pressed into his chest, listening to the sizzling sound of skin being burnt away.

"I thought I told you to be quiet," Azula said casually before she punched Raijin in the throat again.

Raijin tried to scream, to call for help from anyone who could save him from the devil standing over him. Nothing came out, not even a croak from his damaged vocal box.

Azula smiled as Raijin's mouth flapped open and close but made no noise. She stood looking down at the man who stood in the way of her and Percy and the terrified expression on his face. She reveled in it, the power she held over him.

"You should be thankful Raijin, Percy wanted to be the one to kill you," she said aloud. She took in the expression on Raijin's face as she continued, "Yes my bodyguard has quite the lethal side it seems. You didn't help matters when you kissed me on our return from Ba Sing Se. You see, I've been sleeping with him," she revealed.

She noted the outraged expression on Raijin's face at the reveal before she continued, "Oh yes, he's a wonderful lover, leaps, and bounds better than you could have ever hoped to be. I'm sure I'll bear him many strong children because unlike you he's actually a competent bender. Perhaps we'll even turn the manor of house Rai into a vacation residence for us, somebody will need to live in it when you and your line die out. You see, Percy is quite in love with me, he would've killed you at the parade if Zuko didn't step in. I even asked him if he would spare your life… he said no."

She paused as she began circling around Raijin who remained in a heap on the ground, "I was put in quite the situation. Do I take control of my boyfriend's anger and use him to kill you? I'll admit I was quite tempted, but there are some things I do that Percy should never have to dirty his hands with. But just imagining the pain he would've put you in with his bloodbending would've been glorious. You would've been completely at his mercy, unable to do anything as he turned the blood inside your veins against you. But I digress, instead, I have chosen to deal with you myself."

"Getting you out of the party tonight was too easy. A couple of special drinks and you were out of there, I'm sure you've spent the past couple of hours enjoying my handiwork. And as much as I would like to drag this on, I have someone very important waiting for me. Don't worry, your death won't take long. I was glad to find out that you had been given a room with a courtyard for practice, it will soon become your tomb. I'm sure you've heard of my new agents, the Dai Li," Azula said as she swept an arm in the direction of the two men standing with them, "They're loyal to my every order. They're going to bury you alive in this soil. So deep and far nobody will ever find your body. After all, who in the Fire Nation will be able to sense someone underneath 100 yards of earth, especially when there won't be a trace of your burial spot."

"I only wish people would know what happened to you, nobody would dare cross me again. However, I must make sure my hands are clean of this situation. Nobody knows I'm here and nobody will ever find out. Goodbye Raijin," she called as she walked away from the man as the Dai Li stepped into action. They sent Raijin deep into the earth, burying him alive deep within the ground. A wave of their hands and the soil returned to its untouched state and they made sure to leave no trace of their presence as they exited his room.

Author Note - Alright everyone another chapter done of Percy Jackson & The Sapphire Flame. I hope y'all enjoyed it and if you'd like to stay up to date on it, go ahead and give a favorite or follow. A few things that I'd like to address as usual:

- A brand new poll will be up on my profile page for the story ideas. Go vote on it for what two stories will come after this. The Kane Chronicles, Hunger Games, and Jason Bourne crossovers are all receiving low interest compared with the others so I will leave them off the poll. I will put the other six story ideas at the bottom of this chapter so you can check them again as I have slightly altered them before voting

- What are the thoughts on this chapter? I told you that getting onboard the death to Raijin train would pay off XD

- I don't know if anyone was curious or remembered the little bit when Percy blackmailed Zuko to help him with, but stealing the Earth Kingdom crown was his target and he got it obviously.

- As you saw in this chapter, Azula is gonna Azula. Percy has changed her, but they've only been together for a couple of weeks now, he'll need a few years of pouring love, assurance, and happiness into her before she really lets go of what she was brought up on where death and fear were just tools for her to use.

- What did ya think of Raijin's death? Brutal enough for you I hope. I tried to emphasize just how easy it is for Azula to take care of him and she doesn't need her bending for it. There are levels and Azula is on the top of the food chain.

- As usual, I want to give a big thanks for all the support you guys give. I think I responded to every review and pm sent to me so I'm back to actually being here if you guys want to reach out or have questions.

- Please leave story recommendations to read! I am uploading this chp before a 20-hour car ride down to Florida and I need something to do XD

- Finally please leave a review if you enjoyed the update! It always helps the story grow and reach more people. A follow or favorite is much appreciated too. I'm always open for advice on how to be a better writer and I can't wait for summer to start and begin new ideas ;)

- Percy & Young Justice → After the war with Gaea, Percy is sent by the Fates themselves into another dimension. Percy soon stumbles into a group of superheroes and before he knows it, he's one of the founding members of the team. Percy finds himself leading mission after mission with his teammates to prevent the ulterior motives of the secret organization known as the Light. Culminating in fighting a mind-controlled Justice League, Percy and his squad work together to save their mentors. All seems well after that, at least until his superpowered girlfriend is kidnapped by Darkseid. It isn't until he faces the Dark God that he realizes just how badly he needs to unlock his newfound godhood if he ever wants to stand a chance. However, Darkseid doesn't have the patience to wait for the mysterious godling to unlock his power. Perhaps Doomsday will force his hand, and if the monster kills Superman in the process then all the better...

*** Percy & Supergirl pairing (from Batman/Superman: Apocalypse)

*** I have found a story I have deemed acceptable to build upon as I did with Percy & The Sapphire Flame. It hasn't been updated in nearly 2 years now so I will adapt it and modify things to my liking before getting into my own new creative ideas like the Darkseid & Doomsday arc, as well as a different roster for the Light organization.

- Percy/Invincible → Percy Grayson is the oldest twin, born 12 minutes before his brother Mark. Sons to the most powerful man on the planet, they can't wait for their Viltrumite powers to kick in and follow their father's legacy. Focusing around the brothers adapting to their power while meeting new heroes, protecting the world, and discovering just what their father is really here for. The kick? One brother has heat vision, the other has frost breath. Both powers haven't been possessed by a Viltrumite since emperor Argall himself, as if they didn't have enough to worry about without being descended from the last royal blooded ruler to control Viltrum.

*** This isn't so much a crossover as it's putting Percy characters in the Invincible universe and adapting them there. Plus I mean Percy would have the powers of Superman, you know how wild shit will get?

*** I will put other characters from the PJO universe into the Invincible universe as heroes with their own set of powers including the love interest for Percy in this, Zoe Nightshade, the daughter of the Immortal and Warwoman

*** Percy & Zoe pairing

- Percy/Harry Potter → Percy should've known something was wrong when the Fates themselves show up in the throne room demanding he keeps Kronos scythe as a trophy against Zeus's protests. When Lou Ellen wishes to run some tests on the blade Percy agrees, it's not getting much action hanging on his cabin wall. One minute he's supervising Lou chant over the scythe, the next minute he's been whisked back 30 years in time with Lou. This gains the attention of the Fates and Lou's mom, Hecate. Percy can't help but feel like the Fates set him up on purpose but they promise to return him to his time if he helps another child of prophecy, Harry Potter. After a summer or crash course magic by Hecate, Percy & Lou attend Hogwarts. Percy competes in the Triwizard tournament, looking out for Harry throughout the time. When Voldemort returns, he comes back to Hogwarts as a professor, to help Dumbledore & Harry prepare for what's to come. However, even with the great power of his animagus form, they can't help but retreat as Voldemort takes over Britain and Hogwarts. Now Percy needs to help Dumbledore and Harry finish Voldemort off for good and retake Britain from the Dark Lord's clutches.

*** Percy & Lou Ellen pairing

*** Percy's animagi form will have a large role to play in this series; I'm talking about stuff like fighting a dragon, a werewolf pack, a giant basilisk, and devouring a fleet of warships. It's gonna be crazy.

- Percy/MCU → Perseus is the eldest son of Odin. He was there for Hela's downfall. For the betrayal of his friend Thanos when he attempted to murder him. For the great flood that wiped mortals off the face of the Earth. So when his wife goes missing and Frost Giants attack the brothers' crowning ceremony, he knows something is wrong. A meeting with the Ancient One confirms his suspicions, Thanos is plotting something big. Percy helps Earth repel a Chiturai invasion from his fallen younger brother but Thanos never shows. After Dark Elves kill his mother, he sides with his father against his brothers. Asgard needs to be prepared for what's to come. Let Malekith take the Reality Stone, Thanos will deal with the Dark Elf. Thor disagrees and breaks out Loki to stop him. After his failure, Percy is forced into action to prevent the corruption of the 9 Realms. Loki takes the throne from Odin, but Percy is aware of his treachery, allowing it to pass for now. Nightmares of Asgard alight in flame haunt his vision so together, Perseus and Thor set out to stop Surtr before he can attack. However, Odin's death causes a new threat to arise as his older sister Hela attacks the brothers, scattering them across the planet Sakaar as she marches on the remaining Asgardian gods, slaughtering them. Percy & his brothers evacuate Asgard as they put Ragnarok into motion, taken by surprise when Thanos makes his move. Taking the space stone and killing Loki in one motion as he leaves Perseus and Thor to die.

*** As stated, Perseus is a millennia-old god with a mysterious history. Most events that Thor plays a role in Perseus will too.

- Percy/Star Wars → After wandering around Tartarus for what seems like years, Percy has had enough, he throws himself into the void not expecting to come out of it. When he wakes up he's in the room of the Jedi Council, in the body of his younger self. The Jedi take the boy as a gift from the force, but they won't let a 12-year-old be trained by just any Jedi. Enter Mace Windu, the perfect master to help the boy control the obvious darkness lurking within him rather than being controlled by it. When Percy returns from the cave with two purple kyber crystals in hand, the Jedi know they made the right choice in his master. However, the Jedi's rigid stance causes rifts between Percy and other younglings, at least until Anakin Skywalker that is. Their friendship soon grows into a brotherhood that grows into a legend as they shine on the battlefield of the Clone Wars. At least until Percy is sent a padawan, Ashoka Tano. Reluctantly Percy takes the 15-year-old togruta under his wing. However after Ashoka is framed and leaves the Jedi Order, her master follows her with. The force has been calling him about her for a long time now, even as he buried his feelings for her under the pretense of a typical master/padawan bond. Free from the Jedi Code and with Ashoka by his side, how can Percy affect the end of the Clone Wars. Can he save Anakin before it's too late or is he destined to watch another prophecy unfold in front of his eyes?

*** Percy & Ashoka pairing

- Percy/Marvel → After Annabeth's death, Percy just wants out. Out of the godly world and the ridiculous quest and never-ending monsters. Hasn't he lost enough? Reluctantly the gods grant his wish, removing the scent from him. He's happy for the first few months, but pretty soon he gets real bored, at least until Shield comes knocking with a job offer that is. He didn't plan on doing covert ops in countries halfway across the world, but he can't say he doesn't enjoy it. At least until the agents he's working with suddenly try to kill him that is. However, before he can investigate it he's dragged into the Battle of New York. After helping Cap and Natasha in fighting Hydra, he's dragged into cleanup duty as they retrieve Loki's scepter. At least until Tony creates a murder bot and Percy finds himself getting tugged in the direction of the redhead Wanda Maximoff when she joins the team. Despite swearing to himself he wouldn't love again, he finds himself more and more at Avengers HQ with the mystical witch. When Tony tries to lock her inside HQ, Percy's there to bust her out. And then give Tony a piece of his mind at the airport too. Getting out of the raft was easy, who puts a demigod in the middle of his home turf? Living quietly with Wanda is peaceful, at least until they are attacked by aliens and Percy watches Wanda dissolve to dust in his arms. So when Cap comes to him with a chance to bring her back he takes it.
