Chapter Three.
On the upper levels of the Medical Examiner's office and in side Dr. Asten's office, O'Brien and the two Aurors stood right in front of the doctor's desk. "Dr. Asten, we were hoping to have the body of our close friend named, James Carlton. And we need to bring him back to England with us." One Auror said. The only part that he lied about that James Carlton was their friend when it was actually Albus Dumbledore's friend and contact.
Just then, Dr. Quincy walked in to Asten's office and he saw his boss and he also saw the two wizards and the witch, who was sitting in the chair, listening to them. O'Brien looked up at Quincy and she smiled lovingly and the doctor smiled tenderly back at her. Asten saw him from looking over one of the Aurors' shoulder when he walked in. "Ah, Dr. Quincy, good thing that you're in here. Uh, can you and also Sam get the body ready for James Carlton to these people here from England?" He asked the doctor with a nod of his head.
Quincy looked in between Kaya, the two Aurors and Asten. "Oh, I can have Sam help me get the body for you three to bring it to where ever you need to for his funeral." He said to them. Quincy turned to look directly back at O'Brien. He could not help himself, but to look at her. She looked very beautiful to him, including her very unique eye color.
Kaya stared at the doctor and she smiled lovingly. She then turned to look at Asten and then back at Quincy. "Oh, that would be brilliant." She said with her eyes lit up.
Quincy smiled tenderly towards her at her words. 'She's British a long with her two friends. I wonder what they are doing here. And I wonder where she is from.' The doctor thought to himself. "I will be right back with the body, sirs and ma' am." He said before he walked out the door to have Sam help him to bring the body over to them.
A little while later, the two Aurors and O'Brien were talking while they wait to go bring James' body back to London. "I will have you both to go back to London with out me. I decided to stay here." Kaya said in a whisper and she wanted to stay and investigate the murder of James Carlton. She figured that Dr. Quincy would investigate the what the cause of death was with her.
Auror John and another Auror looked at each other with confusion at first before they looked at her. John grinned from ear to ear. Another Auror noticed. They both now knew that Kaya may have to stay to investigate James' death. Possibly murder. "Tell Albus when you both get back that I have moved from County Cork to here in Los Angeles. I have to help who killed Albus' contact, so there will be an investigation." O'Brien told them.
The two Aurors had to agree with Kaya there. They spoke with Dr. Asten some more before they walked out of the doctor's office. They took the body and they walked out of the building and they apparated back to Albus in Hogwarts.
After she spoke with the doctor and she walked out of Asten's office, O'Brien walked across form Dr. Asten's office and she saw the door for the stairs, in which was next to the elevator. Kaya walked up the stairs to some where. In the stair way, O'Brien made sure that she was alone to make sure that the coast was clear. She took out her wand. "Homenum Revelio." She whispered as she waved her wand and it showed another floor where she recognized Dr. Quincy was working in the lab with Sam Fujiyama.
Kaya noticed that there were only Quincy and Sam in the lab. O'Brien smiled and she went up the stairs to that certain floor. Before she opened the door, Kaya waved her wand to place herself under the disillusionment charm to blend in. She opened the door and she walked over towards the lab. She figured that Quincy was also investigating Carlton's death. So, Kaya would help them.
O'Brien hid very well from any one when she opened the other door and she walked in to the lab. She saw the coat rack, a couch and a television set. Kaya saw through the window when she heard that Sam told the doctor that he was going out to lunch and Quincy was going out the door to investigate with out Asten's permission. Asten tried to get Quincy to get the autopsy quickly over and done with, but Quincy went all the way through to investigate the deaths.
Kaya made sure that there was no one else in side the lab. She waved her wand to make herself visible in plain sight. And then, she took out her two trunks that she shrunk out of her pocket and she placed them on the floor. O'Brien pointed it at them. "Engorgio." She said as she waved her wand and her trunks grew bigger to their normal size.
She sat down on the couch and then, she pointed her wand directly at the lock of one of her trunks. "Alohomora." Kaya said when her trunk opened up. "Accio blanket." She saved her wand when her blanket flew right out of her trunk and landed right in to her hands. She was pretty exhausted from her three day traveling to get to the state of California. O'Brien used her wand less magic to straightened up her clothes and her other blankets in her trunk. "Colloportus." O'Brien said when she closed and locked her one trunk.
Kaya sighed and pointed her wand towards her hair color. "Revelio." She said as her natural hair colors of her family coat of arms switched back to red, yellow gold and grey and white hair colors. After that was done, O'Brien turned to lye down on her left side on the couch with her blanket covering her. She now felt relaxed and she closed her eyes and she fell asleep. Kaya saw the way Quincy looked at her. She smiled at that and she hoped that Dr. Quincy would be the first person to see her the moment he walks in to the room right next to the lab.
