To all my readers-This is the first time that I'm going to do Yugioh without making any character name changes. I want you all to know that my OC Paige Muto is related to Yugi and her looks are based on him. So, think of Paige as a feminine Yugi and Atem. Before anyone asks, yes, I will be doing all 5 seasons of Yugioh and that includes Capsule monsters as well. I was once asked if Paige would be dueling and yes, she will. You wont be able to see her duel until season 2 when Kaiba starts his Battle City Tournament.
If anyone, and I mean anyone tries to rush me while writing this fanfic or any of my other fanfics, all written chapters will be delayed for a week. No exceptions. Leave a positive review and Happy Reading!
I DONT OWN YUGIOH AT ALL! I ONLY OWN THE OC AND HER DUELING DECK!
Shoutouts:
Birds scattered as Kemo starts laughing. "Yugi, you don't have a ghost of a chance beating Kaiba because this time he is a ghost." said Kemo.
"A ghost?" asked Yugi and Paige.
"Stop it, Kemo!" Mokuba said, angrily.
"It's a fact." said Kemo. "2 witnesses saw him fall to his doom."
Yugi and the others gasped. "Liar! Take back what you said!" demanded Mokuba.
"Get used to it." Kemo tells him. "All that's left of Kaiba are your memories. Plus, a very cranky ghost just looking for revenge."
"It's not him!" said Yugi.
"Well, he's seen better days. It's time to duel with the ghoul."
"It can't be!" Yugi said. "That guy's nothing but a fake, a trick by Pegasus."
Back at the castle, Pegasus was watching Yugi on the screen. "Don't worry, Mokuba. I'll win your freedom. Then we'll find your brother." Laughing, Pegasus knew Yugi was wrong.
"This is extremely entertaining!" said Pegasus. "I just love reality TV."
"Who is Yugi dueling?" asked the goon behind him.
"It's Kaiba…what's left of him." said Pegasus. "The poor boy had shown so much promise."
"But now he's…it's…here." said Croquet. "How did you do that?"
"I really can't take all the credit." Pegasus explained. "I had help from Yugi. And now to return the favor, I'm going to teach him a lesson about the real power of the Millennium items."
"Yugi, you look like you've seen a ghost." said Kaiba.
"That's enough." said Yugi.
"I am no longer of this world, and it's all because of you." he tells him.
"I could have had it all, but when you beat me, you took more than just the match." said Kaiba. "You stole my life and destroyed my soul."
"I don't believe you!" shouted Paige. "It's not my brother's fault."
"My sister is right. You're nothing but an imposter, so stop the lies and let's start the duel." said Yugi.
"Fine with me." said Kaiba. "This time, you won't beat my cards."
"You might look like Kaiba, but there is no way you can imitate his deck." said Yugi.
"You mean my deck." he said, smugly causing Yugi to growl.
"Beat him, Yugi." said Mokuba. "He's noting but a fake!"
"Yeah. That ghost don't even look like Kaiba." said Joey.
"That's right." said Tea. "Wait. I mean, it's not a ghost and it's not Kaiba."
"Get him, Yugi!" said Tristan and Paige.
"Yugi, I know you can hear me. I know you can sense my thoughts, and I know that you can see the truth." thought Kaiba. "I am Kaiba, but this time, you're dueling someone who's got nothing to lose. Kemo, once I beat Yugi, Pegasus can have Kaiba Corporation. All I want is revenge. 3 stars says I win."
"Fine by me." said Yugi. "That means when the duel's done, I'll have 6!"
"Let's duel." said Kaiba and the duel begins. "Guess I'll go first. Heh. And I'll start off with the Hitotsu-Me Giant."
The Hitotsu-Me Giant appears on the field, causing Yugi to gasp. "Mmm. Is something wrong?" asked Kaiba. "It's your turn to move, Yugi."
"The Hitotsu-Me Giant is how Kaiba began our last duel." thought Yugi.
"There's a card just like that in my brother's deck." said Mokuba.
"Hey, just 'cause it's the same card doesn't mean it's the same deck." said Joey.
The Hitotsu-Me Giant roared on the field. "He's trying to confuse me by making the same opening move that Kaiba did, but it'll have the same result." thought Yugi. "I'll start with this card. Go, Dark Magician! With an attack strength of 2,500!"
The Dark Magician appears on the field. "Dark Magic Attack!" shouted Yugi and the Dark Magician followed his orders, destroying The Hitotsu-Me Giant.
"So much for your giant." said Yugi as Kaiba's life points dropped to 700.
"(Chuckling) You're as strong as ever, Yugi." said Kaiba, arms raised slightly.
"Did you see that?" asked Joey. "That carbon-copy Kaiba is laughin'."
"It's an ugly laugh if you ask me." said Paige.
"It's funny how things have come full circle, Yugi." said Kaiba. "What are you thinking in that feeble brain of yours right now? I bet I know. You've come to the conclusion that no matter what, there's no way you can win, and you couldn't be more right. Even a simpleton like you now knows that I must be Seto Kaiba, and once you accept that fact, you may as well accept defeat."
"I don't care who you are, you're going to lose to me just the same." Yugi tells him.
"But Yugi, you barely beat me the last time we dueled." said Kaiba. "And this time, your big advantage is gone."
"What do you mean?" asked Yugi.
"Heh heh. Exodia. You've lost Exodia." said Kaiba and Yugi gasped.
"You could only beat me with Exodia in you deck." said Kaiba. "And without it, you can only lose."
"There's no way he could've known that." said Paige.
"What ya mean, Paige?" asked Joey.
"The real Kaiba doesn't know that Yugi lost Exodia and somehow, this Kaiba knows that he did." explained Paige.
At the Kaiba mansion, the real Kaiba stood behind a tree, watching the guards.
[Flashback]
"Get him!" shouted the goon as both of them ran towards the window and looked out.
"Nobody could survive a fall like that." said the other.
With a case in his hand, Kaiba climbs up onto a cliff's edge.
[Flashback ends]
Kaiba walks away and scales the concrete wall. He then pulls a chain that was hidden in the grass, lifting up a secret passage in the ground and reveals an underground hideout. Kaiba pulls back a book, revealing a door with a retinal scan. Once scanned, the door opens and a room was revealed with computers.
"Running Identity Verification Protocol." said the female voice of the computer. "Please state your name."
"Seto Kaiba."
"I thought I'd seen it all, but having to break into your own house?" asked the computer.
"It's too long a story for right now." said Kaiba.
"Too long a story?" asked the computer as it logged Kaiba into its system. "Well, maybe I'm not in such a talkative mood myself right now."
"I find that hard to believe." said Kaiba.
"Such a smart guy." said the computer and shows him what was going on. "While you were gallivanting, a hostile takeover of Kaiba Corporation has begun."
"I know." he replied.
"At the same time, Maximillion Pegasus kicked off his Duel Monsters Championship at the Duelist Kingdom." said the computer as it showed a picture of Pegasus, then Yugi. "If Yugi Muto can be defeated by Pegasus, or a competitor that's represented by him, then the new Kaiba Corporation Board has promised him control of the company."
"He won't win. Yugi's unbeatable." said Kaiba. "His deck has Exodia."
[Flashback]
"Exodia, Obliterate!" shouted Yugi.
Exodia destroys all three Blue Eyes White dragons.
[Flashback ends]
"Yeah, well, sometime after you lost to Yugi, he lost Exodia." said the computer.
"No way!" Kaiba said in shock.
"When it rains, it pours." the computer tells him as a picture of Mokuba appears on the screen. "Pegasus knows all about the Corporation bylaws that require a living Kaiba heir to make any change of control legal. Mokuba's his prisoner, and with you out of the way, its likely Pegasus exert all kinds of pressure to make your brother do what he wants, one way or another. So, now you know. What are we going to do?"
"They'll keep my brother safe, at least until the takeover is complete." said Kaiba. "So, I've got to make sure Pegasus doesn't defeat Yugi in a duel no matter what. I'm not gonna give up Kaiba Corporation without a real fight. It's take over time…by me. We're going to hack right into Pegasus' computer mainframe. Next stop, the Duelist Kingdom!"
Back on the island, the duel still continued. "Are you here to play head games or duel monsters?" asked Yugi. "It's time for your move."
"And its gonna blow your mind." Kaiba said chuckling. "This next card's a blast from the past, Yugi…with the emphasis on 'blast'."
He then show Yugi the first Blue Eyes White Dragon and Yugi gasped. "I attack with the Blue Eyes White Dragon." said Kaiba and places it on his side of the field. Once on the field, the Blue Eyes White Dragon roared as it appears.
"It can't be." said Paige.
"Only one deck has that card." said Joey.
"That means, what they say…could it be true?" asked Mokuba.
"Looks like the advantage is mine." Kaiba said laughing.
"So, this really is Kaiba's deck." thought Yugi. "There's no other explanation. But does that mean that Kaiba….Kaiba is really…?"
"Don't worry, Yugi. My feelings weren't hurt when you called me a liar." said Kaiba. "Now admit that you were wrong."
Yugi gritted his teeth as he glared at Kaiba, who then chuckled. "Not having a real body isn't so bad." said Kaiba. "You would not believe what I save in food bills alone. But I still get to enjoy the finer things in life, like revenge, and I'm going to savor its sweet taste for a very long time."
"Shut up!" shouted Mokuba. "Please, someone make him go away! Make him go away!"
"Heh. Almost breaks my heart…if I had one." said Kaiba.
"We've easily broken through the duelist kingdom computer system." the computer tells Kaiba.
"Too easy. Ok." he said, looking at the screen. "When it comes to computer duels, Pegasus has met his match. Now it should be a piece of cake to find the field in which Yugi is dueling."
"I'm lookin', I'm lookin'." said the computer, searching for Yugi when suddenly a carton rabbit popped up with a stop sign on it. "Access denied?"
"What did you do wrong?" asked Kaiba.
"Don't blame me. I finally found the security, and it's all-around Yugi's data." said the computer.
"Ah, I should've known." said Kaiba, then smiles. "Fine by me, Pegasus. Go ahead and give it your best shot. There isn't a computer system anywhere on earth that I can't break into. Here's the thing: every computer has a back door if you know where to look. And guess where we're gonna look."
"Beats me." said the computer.
"It'll be quicker if I take over on manual for a while." said Kaiba and quickly starts typing away. "Data from all the duels is being beamed from the island to an orbiting industrial illusions satellite and back down to their mainframe. These transmissions are obviously encrypted. If we can somehow force the industrial illusions computer off-line, I'm sure their backup systems won't have as much security."
"Are you sayin' we can make their computer crash…from here? But how?"
"A computer crash is exactly what I had in mind." said Kaiba. "The biggest computer crash ever. And I'm going to use Pegasus' own satellite to do it."
"But I've already tried to hack into their systems." said the computer.
"My idea's different." said Kaiba. "Once the security is down, we should be able to freely access the data. Be ready with a search for the Dark Magician."
"Gotcha." said the computer as it brings up the Dark Magician. "Dark Magician inquiry loaded and standing by."
"Good. If Yugi's dueling, he's sure to use that card." said Kaiba.
"So, spill it already." the computer tells him. "How the heck are we going to use industrial illusion's own satellite to bring down their own computer?"
"By bringing down the satellite itself…down all the way!" he replied.
"Loading satellite schematics. M-class triton series. Booster rocket controls on line. Locating orbital coordinates." said the computer as it does its work. "Breaching onboard computer security."
The computer had reached a keep out door and worked its way through, finally opening its doors. "You are now the proud owner of an industrial illusions satellite."
"Great. Now plot a crash course for the computer mainframe." said Kaiba.
"Uploading new coordinates now." replied the computer. "We are locked on target for the computer."
"Hmm." said Kaiba as he looked at the screen. "Virus software won't stop this. Pegasus! You're on notice that the Kaiba Corporation's still mine!"
"Satellite impact in 10 seconds."
Back at Duelist Kingdom, Kaiba was laughing evilly at Yugi. "I won't attack just yet." he said. "Why rush to victory when I can draw it out as long as possible instead?"
Kaiba then places a face down card onto the field. "Huh? There's more to it than that." thought Yugi. "He's hiding some sort of magic card, I know it!"
Yugi then switches his Dark Magician. "Dark Magician, go to defensive mode." said Yugi as the Dark Magician kneels in defense mode. "And I summon Curse of Dragon on the defense as well." Curse of Dragon screeched as it appeared on the field.
"Smart playing, Yugi." said Kaiba. "Unfortunately, it wasn't smart enough. You played right into my hand."
He flips over his magic card. "Defense Paralysis!"
"A trap!" said Yugi as both the Dark Magician and Curse of Dragon went into Attack mode.
"Hmm, now all your monster cards on the field have been switched to attack mode." taunted Kaiba. Tea and the others gasped.
"Yugi!" screamed Mokuba.
"While that Defense Paralysis card's on the field, my monsters can't defend themselves." thought Yugi. "I've got to think of a way out."
"Ha! It's time!" shouted Kaiba. "Blue Eyes White Dragon, use your white lightning!"
The first Blue Eyes White Dragon fired its attack on the Curse of Dragon, destroying it from the field. "Well, so much for your Curse of Dragon." said Kaiba.
"Yugi!" shouted the others as Yugi's life points went to 1,000.
Back at the mansion, the real Kaiba was still searching for Yugi. "No Dark Magician there." said Kaiba. "Next field."
"We've exhausted almost every possibility of locating Yugi Muto." said the computer.
"Huh?" said Kaiba as they reached the next field.
"Field 146 is the final active duel." said the computer.
"Then he's gotta be there." said Kaiba. "Search field 146."
"You got it." said the computer, but when it tried to go in, the screen went fuzzy and froze.
"What's that?!" asked Kaiba.
"Looks like I crashed." said the computer.
"Reboot." said Kaiba and the computer reboots.
"Back online."
"Enter field 146." ordered Kaiba and it happened again.
"I'm frozen again." said the computer.
"Huh?"
"Its worst this time." the computer tells him.
"Hang on. Watch this." said Kaiba and quickly types on the keyboard. The Dark Magician pops up with a red 'X' on it. "Gotcha." he said. "Just as I thought. So, a virus. A good one. That means just one thing. Searching for Yugi's cards activates the virus. Yugi's inside. Get ready to go in."
"But the security door!" said the computer.
"We've come this far already, and I'm not gonna blow it!" said Kaiba and he uploaded a virtual TNT. "Actually, yes I am."
On the screen, the TNT exploded. "Huh?" said Kaiba as the virtual smoke cleared. "What's that?"
"It's a virtual fortress." said the computer. "Sensors indicate that all of the data from Yugi's duels are processed here. You won't blow your way through this thing. It's the ultimate defense, and it's impossible to penetrate without the password."
"Hmm, a password." Kaiba said to himself. "If I know Pegasus, that egomaniac would never think that anyone would outsmart him and even get this far. We're going in!"
"The password?"
"Ha! Pegasus."
"Ha." said Kaiba as the duel continued.
"How can I defeat his Blue Eyes White Dragon?" Yugi asked himself.
"Ha ha ha. Yugi, you gotta admit for a stiff this Kaiba's sure got game!" said Kemo.
"That's not my brother! There's just no way!" shouted Mokuba, then looks at Yugi. "Yugi, you know that's not him. Everyone thinks he's a bad guy, but I know my brother, and he's not mean like this. He's my best friend in the world. That thing's not him! Uhh! You just gotta believe me!"
"I wish I could be as sure as you, Mokuba." thought Yugi. "I don't know what to believe. The only thing I do know for sure, this duel's not over yet."
"Magical Hats!" shouted Yugi, placing a magic card onto the field. "Conceal the Dark Magician." Top hats with questions marks appeared on the field and concealed his monster.
"Huh?" said Kaiba, looking at the hats.
"He's under there somewhere, but which one?" Yugi asked.
"Hmm. Are you so desperate that you have your Dark Magician doing simple hat tricks?" Kaiba asked Yugi.
"It's not a trick and it's not so simple." said Yugi. "Your move, but you'd better think twice before you choose. Just do the math. 4 hats, only 25% percent chance you'll find the Dark Magician. The real question is, what else is hiding beneath those hats?"
"Way to go, Yugi!" shouted Joey. "Hey, that's what I like to call pullin' one outta your hat!"
"Smart thinking." said Paige.
"(Gasp) All right!" said Mokuba.
"You were right about the password." said the computer as the doors of the virtual fortress opened. "The virtual fortress is unlocked. We now have access to Yugi's data, and it was just his turn."
"Pegasus thinks he can make up all the rules in this game, but he could never have imagined this brand-new twist." said Kaiba. "I'm back!"
Back at Duelist Kingdom, Kaiba and Yugi were staring each other down. "Hmm, so predictable." said Kaiba. "I know where the Dark Magician hides."
"If you're so sure, then move." said Yugi.
"It's a shame this duel's going to end so soon." said Kaiba. "White Lightning!"
The Blue Eyes White Dragon fired its attack at one of the four hats, hoping to reveal the Dark Magician but it wasn't there. "If he attacks the right hat, I'll lose more than just this duel. Much more!" thought Yugi.
