To all my readers-This is the first time that I'm going to do Yugioh without making any character name changes. I want you all to know that my OC Paige Muto is related to Yugi and her looks are based on him. So, think of Paige as a feminine Yugi and Atem. Before anyone asks, yes, I will be doing all 5 seasons of Yugioh and that includes Capsule monsters as well. I was once asked if Paige would be dueling and yes, she will. You won't be able to see her duel until season 2 when Kaiba starts his Battle City Tournament.
I've already had my background chapter ready for Seasons 2-5. To the one who has thought that Paige should have Arkana's Dark Magician, I want you to know that you are very lucky that I have that card in my actual deck. I want everyone to know that when I write season 5 (I really do mean when I write it), how I see Atem when he enters the world of his memories, there will be a couple of major surprises. I can't tell you what those surprises will be because they are still in development and I'm bouncing around some ideas with a couple of my friends so that I can make it the best part of season 5.

"Remember, Tristan, Yugi beat Kaiba once before." said Bakura.
"Yeah, back when he had Exodia." said Paige. "He doesn't even have that in his deck anymore, no thanks to Weevil."
"I'd like to beat Kaiba, all right." said Joey.
"Whats with Kaiba, anyway?" asked Tea. "He claims that he's changed, but he's acting like the same old creep we used to know and loathe. I don't get it."
In a tower above them, Bandit Keith watches the duel between Kaiba and Yugi. "Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Hmm." he said, pushing his sunglasses up against his face. "Man, look at these 2 jokers. They're really going at it. Which is fine with me. I got the best seat in the house for scooping out the competition."
"Kaiba's trying to finish me off as quickly as possible…" thought Yugi. "But that's not like him. He enjoys toying with his opponents almost as much as he enjoys winning. Last time we dueled, he spent half the match messing with me. But this time….he's all business."
"Something feels off about this duel." Paige said to herself. "Why isn't Kaiba trying to get into my brother's head? Is it because Pegasus has Mokuba? What's he trying to prove to my brother?"
"Whats the matter, Yugi? You look a bit worried." taunted Kaiba. "Finally realizing that, without your precious Exodia cards, you don't stand a chance against me?"
"I won't need Exodia to defeat you, Kaiba." said Yami.
"Hmm." said Kaiba, wheeling back his dual disk. "If I keep drawing cards like this, you will. I arm my Genie with the De-Spell card. The De-Spell card can deactivate any magic card and that's a loss I'm quite sure you can't afford, Yugi."
"Heh heh heh." laughed La Jinn.
"La Jinn, my Mystical Genie of the lamp, activate De-Spell." said Kaiba. La Jinn forms an electrical energy ball in his hands.
"Oh no." said Yami. "My cards."
La Jinn aims for one of Yami's cards, revealing a magic card. "De-Spell has destroyed your Swords of Revealing Light." said Kaiba. "Hmm, that's a tough loss, Yugi. Your Swords could've paralyzed my monsters for three turns, but I guess now you'll just lose three turns sooner."
"Ha! Don't count on it, Kaiba." said Yami.
"That Genie's big trouble, but as long as he has that lamp to hide in, Yugi can't touch him." said Bakura.
"Is there any way to destroy the lamp?" asked Tea.
"There might be, if Yugi plays the right card." said Paige.
"This card might do the trick…." thought Yugi, as Yami held the Mystic box card in his hand. "the Mystic Box. It could be just the magic card I need to evict La Jinn from his Ancient Lamp. But first….I call upon the Dark Magician!"
"I'm surprised you'd put your Dark Magician at risk, Yugi, when you have no idea what I have in store for you." said Kaiba.
"Then perhaps before I attack, I should see what you're planning for myself." Yami said, then turns a card around.
"What?" asked Kaiba.
"Behold my Magic Eye of Truth!" said Yami.
"So called because the Eye of Truth, knows all, sees all, and it will reveal every card in your hand." said Yami.
"I wonder if Yugi would trade that card with me." said Paige as the Magic Eye of Truth revealed every card in Kaiba's hand.
"Whats this?" asked Yami as a Blue Eyes White Dragon revealed itself in Kaiba's hand. "You've got a Blue Eyes White Dragon in your hand but you havent played it?"
"You can always count on Kaiba to have a Blue Eyes White Dragon or 3 up his sneaky slimy sleeves." said Joey.
"Kaiba sure loves his Blue Eyes." said Tristan.
"3 Blue Eyes White Dragons. That's got to be nearly impossible for Yugi to beat." said Bakura.
"Yeah? Well, Yugi's beaten 3 Blue Eyes before, and he'll beat them again." said Tea.
"On their own, Yugi would beat them again." said Paige as they looked down at her. "But if Kaiba's planning what I think he's planning, Yugi would be defeat in a heartbeat."
"What are you sayin', Paige?" asked Joey as Paige beckons them closer to her level.
"I can't explain it, but I just hope that Kaiba isn't going to create a powerful monster that would leave my brother wallowing in sadness and regret." said Paige.
"What's Kaiba up to?" Yugi thought to himself. "Why hasn't he played his Blue Eyes White Dragon yet?"
"Yugi may have glimpsed a Blue Eyes in my hand, but I doubt that even he could guess what I'm planning, unlike his sister… Because it's never been done before. " thought Kaiba darted his eyes over to Paige. "I'm going to take all three of my mighty Blue Eyes White Dragons and fuse them together into one incredible creature of unsurpassed power: the Ultimate Blue Eyes White Dragon! So, Yugi, the mundane magic of your wimpy Eye of Truth allowed you a sneak peek at my hand, but what good does it do you? The fact still remains that your Dark Magician can't do anything against my Genie, La Jinn…not while he has his lamp to protect him."
"Then I'll extinguish it!" shouted Yami. "Through the magic of my Mystic Box! Now, watch closely, Kaiba, as first my Dark Magician is sealed within the box."
"A trick!" said Kaiba.
"It's much more than a mere magic trick, as you're about to find out, Kaiba." said Yami. "Now watch and be amazed as the Mystic Box is skewered!" Knives went into the Mystic Box from all sides before opening its doors. "Now have I destroyed my own Dark Magician? Or have I magically extinguished your Ancient Lamp, just as I promised?"
"Uhh! No, you've destroyed my Genie's Lamp." said Kaiba, seeing the card skewered in Yami's Mystic Box.
"And the magic's only half done, Kaiba." said Yami. "For my Dark Magician emerges from the Mystic Box…unharmed."
"But how?" Kaiba asked.
"You know a good magician never reveals his secrets." said Yami as the Dark Magician wags his finger at him. "Now, Dark Magician, Dark Magic Attack!"
Dark Magician raises his staff again and destroys La Jinn on the field. "No, my Genie!" shouted Kaiba as La Jinn heads to the graveyard and his life points drop to 800.
"It's just as you said, Kaiba." said Yami as Kaiba growls at him. "The Ancient Lamp may have protected your great Genie, La Jinn, but once it was destroyed, your Genie was no matched for my Dark Magician."
"Your little magic show may have been entertaining, but let's not lose perspective." replied Kaiba. "You know I've got a Blue Eyes waiting in the wings, and I know you have nothing that can stand against it."
"Hmm. You know nothing." said Yami. "The Eye of Truth showed me your hand, not the other way around."
"I don't need to see your hand." said Kaiba with two cards in his hand. "But I think you need to be taught a lesson, and I'll be happy to make my next play painfully instructive. This combination of Saggi the Dark Clown and the Contagious Crush card should help me infect Yugi's life points. Unh! Behold…..Saggi the Dark Clown!"
Saggi appears on the field, laughing as while in the sitting position. "Saggi the Dark Clown?" Yami asked.
"I was expecting Kaiba to sic his Blue Eyes White Dragon on me." thought Yugi. "He knows Saggi is no match for my Dark Magician. What's he up to? He didn't have any trap cards earlier when I got a look at his hand, but he might've drawn some new ones by now. The only way to know for sure is to attack…but I dare not risk my Dark Magician."
"Dark Magician, return!" shouted Yami, bringing back the Dark Magician and draws a new card.
"All right. Good card." thought Yugi. "Gaia the Fierce Knight. He wiped the floor with Saggi in my first duel with Kaiba."
"And he will defeat Saggi once again." said Yami.
"No way." whispered Paige.
"What was that, Paige?" asked Tea.
"Nothing, Tea. I didn't say anything." she tells her.
"Gaia the Fierce Knight in attack mode!" shouted Yami as he threw out the dual disk and Gaia appears and his horse whinnies. He then gallops over, destroying Saggi the Dark Clown.
"Your Dark Clown has been vanquished, Kaiba!" said Yami.
"Vanquished and sacrificed are 2 very different things, Yugi." Kaiba tells him. "Look again."
"No!" shouted Yami as Gaia starts to mess up. "Whats happening? Gaia!" Kaiba smirks as Gaia is destroyed on the field.
"Not just Gaia, Yugi." said Kaiba.
"No! My Dark Magician!" said Yami as Dark Magician disappears from the field. "What have you done, Kaiba?"
"It's really quite ingenious actually." said Kaiba. "Knowing that you couldn't resist attacking my Dark Clown, I infected him with the Crush Card Virus."
"A Crush Card?" questioned Yami.
"By destroying the infected Saggi, you released the Crush Card Virus…" Kaiba explained. "A virus that is so highly contagious to duel monsters that even as I speak these words, it is infecting all but the weakest cards in your precious dueling deck."
"No, my cards!" shouted Yami as he looks down and sees the word virus appear.
"Ha ha ha! The only monster cards unaffected by the Crush Card Virus are those with an attack power weaker than 1,500." explained Kaiba. "Looks like I've broken the heart of your cards, Yugi. Ha ha ha ha ha!"
"That Crush Card Kaiba used to infect my deck makes it so I cant use any monsters with more than 1,500 attack points." thought Yugi.
"Well-played, but it will take more than a virus to win this duel, Kaiba." said Yami.
"Ha ha ha ha! Yes, I expect that it will, Yugi." replied Kaiba. "Actually, I'm looking forward to subjecting you to a wide array of debilitating cards."
"Huh."
"Keep talkin' the talk, big mouth Kaiba." said Joey. "Just don't forget that Yugi beat you last time."
"Yeah, and now Yugi's an even better duelist." added Tristan.
"He's not just that." Paige chimed in. "Yugi's the best duelist I have ever seen."
"Yes, but last time he didn't have a Crush Card forcing him to play just magic cards and weak monsters." said Bakura.
"You're kiddin'." said Tristan. "He's only allowed to play magic cards and his wimpiest creatures?"
"He'll still win." said Tea.
"Heh heh heh. This is turning out to be quite the show. All I'm really missing is a hot dog and a bag of popcorn." said Bandit Keith as he continued to watch the duel between Kaiba and Yugi. "Oh, well, from the looks of things, this duel isn't gonna last long enough for me to enjoy 'em anyway. Besides, gettin' the low-down on these chumps' dueling strategies is plenty for me to snack on."
"Your turn, Yugi." said Kaiba. "Lets see how your disease-ridden deck serves you now."
"You may have infected the body of my deck, Kaiba, but it is the heart of the cards that will see me through this contamination." said Yami.
"The Summoned Skull. But I can't use him because his attack points are over 1,500." thought Yugi. "Kaiba's crush card would infect him the second I laid him on the field."
"Face it, Yugi." said Kaiba. "To continue playing in this duel, you'll have to serve up your weakest monsters."
"Uhh." said Yami, looking down at the card in his hand.
"He's right. For now, that's all I can do." thought Yugi, playing the card.
"Silver Fang, in defense mode!" shouted Yami. "And his attack points are low enough to make him immune to your virus. Your turn."
"Ironic that a wolf will be the first of your sacrificial lambs, but so be it." said Kaiba, drawing his next card. "Ah, the second of my 3 Blue Eyes White Dragons. Just one more now, and then absolutely nothing will keep me away from victory. Soon, with one earth-shattering blast, I'll defeat Yugi for the last time. And once I finish him, I'll go after Pegasus and rescue my brother from his demented grip. But while I'm waiting for my third Blue Eyes, I'll clear the field of Yugi's rabid beast."
Soon enough, Kaiba plays his next card. "Battle Ox, awaken and let loose the dogs of war." said Kaiba as Battle Ox (ATT:1700/ DEF:1000) growled softly. "Axe Slam Attack!"
Battle Ox rushes forward, slicing into Silver Fang as it disappears from the field. "Your puppy has been put down." Kaiba said smugly as Yami growls in anger.
"Its cool." Tristan called out to him. "Just a minor setback, no big deal."
"Come on, Yugi." thought Tea. "I know you can win this. No one's ever beaten you in a duel, and no one besides Paige ever will."
"Ha ha ha ha ha." Kaiba laughed manically as his jacket blew out behind him. "Your pitiful defenses cant even withstand the crude assault of my Battle Ox! How do you expect to protect your life points when your defenses are demolished and you have nothing left to shield you against my even more powerful monsters? I guess we'll know soon enough."
"Kaiba's right." thought Yugi. "But how can I defeat any monster when his Crush card forces me to play my weakest creature?"
"You should accept your fate for now, Yugi." Kaiba taunted him. "After all, you'll have the rest of your entire life to brood over this defeat."
"No. I cant give in to his taunting." Yugi thought to himself. "Paige and I have come here to rescue our grandpa, and I cant let Kaiba defeat me."
"You got this, Yugi!" Paige called out to her brother, causing him to turn his attention to her after he drew his next card. "Grandpa's counting on you!" Yami gave her a small smile, nodded as he looked down at his next card.
"Griffore! Go! I summon you!" shouted Yami as Griffore (ATT:1200/ DEF:1500) appeared on the field. "Let's see you deal with this attack, Kaiba."
"Hmm, a Griffore." said Kaiba, smiling smugly at this. "I think you made a grave miscalculation, Yugi. His pathetic defenses are no match for my Battle Ox."
"Heh heh heh. Whoever said that I was going to be playing him in defense mode, Kaiba?" Yami asked.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Kaiba asked, confused.
"I'm attacking with my Griffore…" said Yami as he reveals a magic card. "with the help of my horn of the unicorn. Magic Lightening combo attack!"
Blue lightening came out of the horn, heading for Kaiba's Battle Ox, destroying it on the field. "Your Battle Ox has been destroyed." said Yami as Kaiba's life points dropped to 600.
"All right!" shouted Joey as Tea and Paige smiled at Yami. "I'm feeling a comeback in the works."
"Stellar move!" Tea called out.
"Whoo!" said Paige.
"Good show! That was a brilliant play at a critical juncture." said Bakura.
"Yeah, Yugi, great move!" said Tristan.
"Impressive, Yugi, using a combo attack to combat the perils of my virus." said Kaiba. "But I'm afraid that there are some hazards in my deck that are simply inevitable. It's my turn now."
Kaiba looks down at his next card and smiles internally. "At last! Now all I need is a polymerization card to merge them all." thought Kaiba. "Prepare yourself for ultimate annihilation, Yugi. But first, I'm invoking the Mystical Elf." Appearing on the field behind him, the Mystical Elf stood tall and chants away.
"You see, Yugi…. if there's one thing I learned in my matches with you, it's that you have an uncanny ability for snatching victory from the jaws of defeat." said Kaiba as the Mystical Elf finishes her chant and disappears from the field. "But I don't intend to giving you such an opportunity today. Which is why I've summoned the Mystical Elf to reinforce my life points…by 300."
"I've never seen Kaiba duel so methodically before." Yugi thought as Kaiba's life points rose to 900. "Every move he plays is so precise. He's leaving nothing to chance. It's as if to him, this were a battle of life and death."
"Soon, little brother. Soon, I'll have completed Pegasus' twisted little task and then nothing will stop me from rescuing you. Soon. Once I defeat Yugi." thought Kaiba as the duel disk returned to his hand. "Behold. Unh, Uuh! The Mighty Blue Eyes White Dragon!"
The first Blue Eyes White Dragon roared as it made its way onto the field as Yami looks up, gasping. "Ohh!" gasped the others.
"Now, Yugi, your fate belongs to me." said Kaiba. "Take flight, Blue Eyes White Dragon! Rise!" Blue Eyes White Dragon roared as it takes to the skies.
"Go, White Lightening Attack!" Kaiba shouted as Blue Eyes prepared its attack on Yami, destroying his Griffore on the field and dropping his life points to 400. "Already my Blue Eyes has you cowering. And this is only the beginning. Soon, you will know what fear is."
"Hmph!" Yami scoffed at Kaiba as he drew his next card. "I don't fear your Blue Eyes, Kaiba. I've defeated him before. And with my Giant Solider of Stone (ATT:1300/ DEF:2000) guarding me, I'll manage to defeat him again." Yami's Solider of Stone goes into defense mode.
"I'm afraid you're mistaken." said Kaiba, drawing from his deck and sees that he drew the Polymerization card. "Yugi, when you battled my Blue Eyes before, they were three separate dragons….formidable, yes, but not invincible. But now I've found a way to merge their power, combine their attack power to create….a monster with power beyond imagining!"
"Hunh!" gritted Yami.
Soon as Kaiba threw out the disk, what revealed next was impeccable and hopelessly impossible. "Now I create a duel monster without peer…." said Kaiba as two Blue Eyes White Dragon Cards and his Polymerization card appeared on the field, turning to face Yami. "that no monster can stand against him."
Out on the field, Blue Eyes White Dragon disappeared and in its place, was a whole new duel monster. "I created the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon." said Kaiba as it roared its three heads.
"Uh…..uh….Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon." said Paige, her eye starts to twitch as her jaw drops at Kaiba's creation.
"So that's why he didn't play his Blue Eyes at first." thought Yugi. "He was waiting to merge them all together."
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!" Kaiba laughed with his arms wide opened as his Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon (ATT:4500/ DEF:3800) was ready. "Yugi Muto, there is no escape. Nothing can save you now."
"That monster's attack points are off the charts." said Tea.
"Yeah, how could any creature in Yugi's deck beat that thing?" asked Joey.
"Especially since he doesn't have Exodia." said Paige.
"That Kaiba!" said Tristan as they all looked at Kaiba's creation. "He's been setting Yugi up for that beast this entire time."
From his hiding place, Bandit Keith was impressed by Kaiba's creation. "Heh heh. Yugi is done for." he said. "Kaiba has that little twerp on the ropes, and now this Ultimate Blue Eyes is gonna knock him out of the ring."
"This cant be the end." thought Tea. "It just cant. Yugi will find a way to come back. I know it."
"Kaiba has really played a brilliant strategy: setting me up with that Crush Card, holding out for all 3 Blue Eyes, and at the same time, whittling down my life points to a sparse 400." Yugi thought to himself. "Now he's got me cornered and staring down the toughest monster I've ever faced."
"Yugi, how I savor this moment." said Kaiba. "This is the moment I've been waiting for ever since you handed me my first and only duel monsters defeat. Prepare yourself to see the power of my creature unleashed."
"Hunh!"
"Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Neutron Blast Attack!" shouted Kaiba as Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon aimed their combined attacks at Yugi.
"No! My Stone Solider!" bellowed Yami as the attack destroyed his Stone Solider, sending it to the graveyard.
"You're lucky your Stone Solider was in defense mode." said Kaiba.
"Whoa! At least Yugi didn't lose any life points." said Joey.
"Stone Solider was the last of my defenses." thought Yugi.
"My Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon atomized your creature to dust, Yugi." said Kaiba. "You know you have nothing to stand against it. You should concede."
"Huh." Yami gasped as he stands in shock as he starts to draw his next card.
"No, Yugi." said Joey.
"You can win this." said Bakura.
"That's right. We all believe in you." said Tea.
"You gotta remember what you're fightin' for, Yuge….." said Joey. "The heart of the cards, just like your grandpa taught you. You've never let anyone down before, and I know you're not gonna let your grandpa down now. Especially not with Paige right here."
"Yugioh!" shouted Paige, snapping her brother out of it.
"Uhh!" said Yami, remembering what Pegasus did to them as he took Grandpa's soul away with his millennium eye.
"Yugi!" shouted Grandpa through the TV.
"Grandpa, I wont let you down. And neither will Paige." thought Yugi. "I have to keep fighting for you."
"Hmm?" asked Kaiba, waiting for Yugi to make his next move.
"No, Kaiba." said Yami. "I will never surrender to the likes of you."
"That's it! That's the kind of determination I expect from you." said Kaiba. "Fight on. Gather every last bit of your strength, Yugi. I prefer to take you down when you're fighting your hardest."
"Everything rides on this last card: this duel, this tournament, my grandpa." thought Yugi as he glares at Kaiba. "But as hopeless as it seems, I still have to believe."
"Good luck, Yugi." thought Tea.
"You got this, Yugi." thought Paige.
"You can do it, pal." thought Tristan.
"Believe." thought Bakura as Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon roared.
"Kick butt, Yuge!" shouted Joey.
"It comes to this." said Kaiba. "So draw your card and face your fate."
"Heart of the cards, guide me." thought Yugi as he draws his last card of the duel.
"Lets finish this, Kaiba!" shouted Yami.
