To all my readers-This is the first time that I'm going to do Yugioh without making any character name changes. I want you all to know that my OC Paige Muto is related to Yugi and her looks are based on him. So, think of Paige as a feminine Yugi and Atem. Before anyone asks, yes, I will be doing all 5 seasons of Yugioh and that includes Capsule monsters as well. I was once asked if Paige would be dueling and yes, she will. You won't be able to see her duel until season 2 when Kaiba starts his Battle City Tournament.

I've already had my background chapter ready for Seasons 2-5. To the one who has thought that Paige should have Arkana's Dark Magician, I want you to know that you are very lucky that I have that card in my actual deck. I want everyone to know that when I write season 5 (I really do mean when I write it), how I see Atem when he enters the world of his memories, there will be a couple of major surprises. I can't tell you what those surprises will be because they are still in development and I'm bouncing around some ideas with a couple of my friends so that I can make it the best part of season 5.

If anyone, and I mean anyone tries to rush me while writing this fanfic or any of my other fanfics, all written chapters will be delayed for a week. No exceptions. Leave a positive review and Happy Reading!

"All right! We finally made it! Pegasus' castle." said Joey.

"Race you there, Joey!" said Tristan.

"You're on!" replied Joey.

"We're coming, grandpa." thought Yugi as he and Paige ran side by side.

"Hmm?" said Kemo as he sees the group run up. "Oh, no! No way you brats won 10-star chips each."

"Oh, boy." said Tea.

"Does it look like I have a dueling glove? No!" said Paige. "Why? Because I didn't participate, ya dummy!"

"Get lost. This isn't some clubhouse." said Kemo. "It's a place reserved for the dueling elite."

"Hmm. I guess that means we'll fit right in." said Mai.

"Uh…." stammered Kemo.

"Would you mind tellin' housekeepin' that I like my pillows extra fluffy?" Joey asked.

"And to make sure that there's an extra bed in my room, please?" asked Yugi. "My sister and I share a room."

"URRRHHH!" growled Kemo as Joey walks past him.

"You're a doll." said Mai as she, Yugi and Paige walked past him to go inside. "Last one, and….voilà."

"At last! We're finally at the castle!" said Yugi.

"And to save grandpa." said Paige.

"URRHH." Kemo continued to growl as Tea, Tristan and Bakura walked past him. "Huh? No, no, no! You three don't have dueling gloves."

"ARRHH!" said Tristan.

"But you have to let us in." said Tea. "We're the cheerleaders."

"Cheer what?" asked Kemo. "What do you losers think this is, a high school football game?"

"I'm guessing he never graduated high school or dated a cheerleader." Paige whispered to Yugi and Joey who both snickered behind his back.

"No star chips, no entry! You got that?" asked Kemo.

"You're saying you couldn't do us this one little favor?" Mai asked Kemo.

"Huh?" Kemo asked, looking over his shoulder.

"Not even for me? Hmm?" asked Mai.

"Uh…" said Kemo as he starts to blush. "Uh…absolutely not. Pegasus gave me explicit instructions not to let anyone….."

Just as he was saying that, Mai gave them a wink to make a run for it. "What? Hey!" Kemo shouted as the three ran past him and Mai swings her bag. Soon enough, they start closing the doors on Kemo as Mai ran inside.

"Stop! Ohh!" shouted Kemo as he ran into the door.

"Hmm. And that's that." said Joey as they locked the door.

"You little thumbsuckers! Open this door!" bellowed Kemo, banging on the door with his fist.

"There's no time to waste." said Yugi.

"You heard the man! Let's go!" said Joey.

"Grandpa!" shouted Paige as they ran down the hall.

"The sooner I find Pegasus, the sooner I can find my grandpa for Paige." thought Yugi.

They ran up the stairs and to a balcony when they stopped to see someone they recognized from the tournament. "Hey! Isn't that….." Yugi started to asked.

"Bandit Keith. I can't stand this guy." said Joey.

"Huh?" he said, looking at the others. "Well, what do ya know? If it isn't big, tough Joey and his whole crew of duelin' dummies."

"You slime bucket! I've been waitin' to find you ever since you left us trapped in that cave." said Joey as he makes a fist. "GRRR! YAAHH!" Before Joey could land a punch anywhere on his body, Bandit Keith starts blocking and dodging.

"Missed me. Whoops. Too slow." said Bandit Keith before pushing back Joey's punch. "Can't this little grudge of yours wait?"

"You wish, creep." said Joey.

"Ok. Suit yourself. But the real action is about to start." said Bandit Keith.

"The real action?" asked Joey.

"Huh?" said the others as they looked over the balcony to see Kaiba on a platform.

"Yeah, the world champ and Pegasus." Bandit Keith said.

"Whoa! Its Kaiba!" said Yugi.

"I'd hope to get first crack at the old man myself, but you know they save the biggest match for last." said Bandit Keith.

"Wait a minute. Are you saying those two are gonna duel?" asked Yugi.

"That is correct." said Croquet.

"Huh?" they asked.

"Welcome, finalists. I'm Croquet, Chief Tournament Liaison." he said, walking up behind them. "Congratulations on making it this far. Pegasus is quite taken with all of your dueling talents. In fact, he's so impressed, he wanted to reward you with some entertainment….a special exhibition match. I think you'll all be quite in awe of what you're about to see. Hmm. This match should give you an idea of what's in store for all of you."

"So basically, it's meant to intimidate us, huh?" asked Mai.

"Why would Pegasus do something like that?" asked Croquet.

"Cause he's a grade-a nut case." said Joey.

"And said nut case needs to get out of his castle more." said Paige.

"(Chuckles) Enjoy the match." said Croquet, taking his leave.

"Oh…." gasped Yugi. "This should be interesting."

"Little brother, I'm here for you now, and I won't let anything stop me from rescuing you." thought Kaiba as he grips the case that held the picture of Mokuba. "Huh?"

Suddenly, rumbling was heard and across the arena, doors opened to reveal Pegasus on the other side, softly chuckling. "Where's my brother?" Kaiba asked.

"What? No 'Hello'? No 'How are you'? I thought we were friends, Kaiba boy." said Pegasus. "Don't tell me that my kidnapping Mokuba and seizing control of your company has put a rift between us. It was nothing personal. Besides, it's not like I hurt your kid brother. He's perfectly safe. In fact, you can have him back if you like. Just beat me in a duel like we agreed, and I'll hand him over. I mean, one little victory shouldn't be a problem for the duel monsters world champ."

"That millenium eye Pegasus has could make it a real big problem, even for Kaiba." thought Yugi.

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm not hopin' Kaiba loses this duel." said Joey. "I still say he's a first-class jerk for everything he put us through, but I can't help but feel for him, tryin' to get his kid brother back."

"I agree. I know that if it was me instead of grandpa, Yugi would do everything to get me back." said Paige.

"That's because you're my kid sister." said Yugi.

"Far as I'm concerned, anyone who stands up to Pegasus can't be all bad." said Tristan.

"Mm-hmm." said everyone.

"Joey and Tristan are right. After all, what could be more noble than fighting for someone that you love?" thought Yugi. "I just hope that Kaiba has learned to fight with his heart as well as his head."

"Come on, Kaiba, it's so gauche to keep us in suspense, especially with an audience waiting in the wings." said Pegasus, looking up.

"Huh?" said Kaiba, following his gaze to see Yugi and the others who were watching.

"Hey there, Kaiba." said Yugi.

"Yugi? How could you be in here after I defeated you?" asked Kaiba. "I should've known you'd find a way."

"You know how the saying goes, Kaiba. 'Where there's a will, there's a way'." said Paige.

"I certainly did." thought Pegasus. "Yugi has passed all the tests that I presented him with. I hope you're ready, Kaiba. I've been looking forward to this for quite some time."

"Good." said Kaiba as he opened his case filled with his deck and throws a dueling disk at Pegasus.

"Ohhh!" grunted Pegasus as he catches it.

"Then you'll have no problem dueling with this." said Kaiba.

"Huh?" said Pegasus, inspecting the disk.

"Well?" asked Kaiba.

"You want to duel me with your latest contraption?" Pegasus asked, waving it around. "But I don't even know how the silly device even works. Do I spin it like a top…or roll it like a ball."

"Cut the theatrics!" said Kaiba.

"Ooohh! Kaiba means business." teased Pegasus. "Ok, then. How about we settle this like businessmen would? I'll agree to use your system if you agree to a request that I have."

"What?" Kaiba asked.

"Nothing that will change the game, of course." said Pegasus. "I just want someone else to operate your little device for me."

"I smell a rat." said Bandit Keith.

"What kind of rat?" asked Paige.

"You're not going to keep it, Paige. You know grandpa's rule on that." said Yugi as Pegasus chuckles malevolently.

"I assure you; I'll still make all the strategic decisions." Pegasus told Kaiba. "The game play won't change at all."

"So why the request?" asked Kaiba. "Why not fight your own battle for once in your life?"

"Simple-minded fool." thought Pegasus. "For all your titles and technical innovations, you still havent learned that fighting isn't the only way to inflict damage upon an opponent. A man's spirit can be broken in much easier ways. Show Kaiba the lad who'll play as my pawn, and he'll understand my request."

The doors opened behind Pegasus, revealing a very quiet, very dirty chained up Mokuba, causing Kaiba to gasp at the sight. "Kaiba's brother!" Yugi exclaimed.

"Mokuba's filthy. He needs a bath." said Paige as Mokuba looks up with a blank stare.

"Mokuba!" shouted Kaiba. "It's me."

"Something's not right." said Yugi.

"It's like he's been hypnotized." said Tea.

"I apologize if he doesn't seem quite like himself." explained Pegasus. "But I happen to find that the captives I keep are far easier to manage after I've made an extraction of sorts."

"You monster!" Kaiba said, angrily as Pegasus chuckled evilly.

"Now, now, Kaiba boy. Petty insults aren't the way to go to get your brother's soul back." said Pegasus, hold a card with Mokuba trapped inside. "Ha ha ha ha ha."

"Ohhh!" Kaiba cried out.

"His soul?!" asked Bakura and Yugi.

"What's Pegasus mean?" asked Mai.

"That's how he did it. That's where he put grandpa." whispered Paige as she looked at Yugi and the others. "He extracted grandpa's soul through the TV with his millenium eye and placed it in a duel monster's card."

"What?" asked Mai.

"No way." said Tea.

"He must've done it to Mokuba what he did to Yugi and Paige's grandpa." said Tristan.

"Heh heh heh heh heh." laughed Pegasus as Mokuba's body blankly stood behind him while he held Mokuba's soul in his hand. "I told you your little brother was perfectly safe, and he is. But how long he remains that way is up to you. Beat me in a duel, and I'll release him as promised. But fail, and not only will his soul remain in bondage, but yours will join it. To save your brother, you'll have to defeat me."

"Defeat you? I'll crush you!" said Kaiba.

"I had no idea." thought Yugi. "I knew Pegasus kidnapped Mokuba, but I had known clue that he snatched his soul, too. (Gasp) Of course! That's why Kaiba went to such lengths to beat me. His brother's even worse off than he thought. Mokuba's like my grandpa now. I have to help Kaiba anyway I can."

"So it's settled. We'll use your new invention, but your brother will operate it for me." said Pegasus.

"Wait! Pegasus!" Kaiba cried out.

"What's the matter, Kaiba boy? This was your idea." Pegasus tells him. "Using your own system is sure to give you quite the advantage. What's the problem?"

"Ohhh! I can't duel my own brother, even if his soul is in another place." thought Kaiba.

[Flashback]

"What's up, big brother?" Mokuba said, happily as he waves to his brother in the car.

"I miss you, Kaiba." Mokuba said, crying while sitting on the ground.

"You came for me!" said Mokuba, chained to the wall of Pegasus' dungeon.

[Flashback ends]

"He's been through enough already." Kaiba said to Pegasus. "Ok, then, Pegasus. You win. We won't use it."

"But that's his edge." said Yugi.

"We'll duel on your terms. Just keep my little brother out of it." said Kaiba.

"So rather than duel your empty shell with the device he's perfected, he'll give me home field advantage." Pegasus to Mokuba's body. "Fine with me. Take him away."

"You creep." said Kaiba as Mokuba is lead away.

"Watch yourself, Kaiba. You're in my world now." said Pegasus, then snaps his fingers.

"Uhh! Ohh…." Kaiba said in shock as the platform he was on starts moving.

"Wow! Check out the automated bridge." said Joey.

"Ohh!" gasped Tea as she, Paige and Yugi looked up to see a dueling arena come down from above them. "Forget the bridge. An entire arena's coming down."

"That or the biggest elevator ever built." said Tristan.

"This should be good." said Mai. "The two biggest legends in duel monsters going at it? This is what it's all about." Once the arena was connected, Pegasus picked his deck. "Ready, Kaiba?" Pegasus asked. "Your brother's fate hangs in the balance."

"Kaiba, you gotta believe in the heart of the cards!" Yugi cried out. "It's the only way to rescue Mokuba!"

"Huh? Keep out of this." said Kaiba. "I'm fighting this duel my way."

"Just don't forget that it takes more than a strong monster and clever strategies to win this." said Yugi. "That millenium eye Pegasus has changes everything. You have to…."

"Yuge, don't forget Kaiba's the one who took five of your stars." said Joey.

"I know. But Paige and I know what it's like to be dueling for someone you care about, and I couldn't live with myself if I held back on anything that could help Kaiba get his brother back." said Yugi.

"Easy, buddy." said Joey.

"For the record, if you lose this duel and your soul, the next person you see will be me, kicking your dueling butt, Kaiba." said Paige. "And that's after we rescue you, of course."

"Yugi, Paige, you both are good duelists, but I don't need your help." said Kaiba. "This is my battle to fight now, and I will win."

"(Chuckles) Poor fool." Pegasus said smugly. "He needs all the help he can get."

"We've known each other for a long time, and now we'll see if the master is the duel monsters creator or the champion!" shouted Kaiba. "You have nowhere left to hide, Pegasus."

"Time to duel!"

"Look at you…the first move, and already you're nervous." said Pegasus as he place his first card. "Here. Defense mode. Feel better? Oh, and I'll play this card too. But I think I'll keep it face down for now, just to keep you guessing."

"I doubt that. Pegasus must already be scheming already." thought Kaiba. "It my turn now. Hmm….Blue Eyes on my first draw. Not bad. But I can't risk attacking with him until I have a better idea of which card Pegasus put down. Still, that doesn't mean I can't with something else. I'll lay a card face down, too. And also I play Rude Kaiser face up, in attack mode."

Rude Kaiser (ATT:1800/ DEF:1600) growled as it appeared on the field. "Go, Rude Kaiser!" shouted Kaiba. "Attack Pegasus' defense card with Forearm Slash."

Rude Kaiser jumps at Pegasus' face down card, revealing itself to be an alligator. "Oh, no!" said Pegasus in a mocked tone.

"I'd expect more from you, Pegasus." said Kaiba.

"I had no idea you had such powerful cards at your disposal, Kaiba." said Pegasus, looking down at his cards in a false saddened tone. "I don't think I have a beast in my entire deck that could compare with that creature. Hold on. I may have spoken too soon. Yes, here's the perfect card….Parrot Dragon."

"RAHRR!" cawed Parrot Dragon (ATT:2000/ DEF:1300) appearing on the field.

"Attack! Bombarding Beak!" said Pegasus as Parrot Dragon takes a nose dive for its attack.

"Not so fast!" said Kaiba. "I placed a card face down, too, remember?"

"You what?" asked Pegasus.

"And I'm activating its magic right now." said Kaiba as he reveals his magic card. "The Mesmeric Control card entrances your monster and reduces its attack power by 800 points."

"Awk! Awk!" Parrot Dragon wobbled from side to side as it became entranced while its attack points dropped to 1,200.

"Kaiser, Forearm Slash! Carve up that bird!" shouted Kaiba

"Awk! Awk! Awk!..." said Parrot Dragon as it took another step as Rude Kaiser slashes it, sending it to the graveyard.

"Oh, no!" said Pegasus.

"Wait. Something's wrong here." thought Kaiba.

"I don't get it. Pegasus talks a big game but duels like a kid." said Tristan.

"Its almost like he's toying with him." said Mai.

"Yeah. Wait." said Joey then looks at Yugi and Paige. "Didn't he pull this act with you?"

"Yep. I guess he doesn't want to take the world champion seriously." said Yugi. "I just hope that Kaiba catches on before it's too late."

"Something's not right. This is all too easy. Pegasus doesn't even seem to be trying. I've taken out two of his monsters without him even putting up a fight. Its almost like he expected me to do it…like he knew exactly how I was going to attack him. My turn, Pegasus. Hmm. Another good card. But if I'm right about Pegasus and he is just playing with me, he might be able to counter it." thought Kaiba as he stares at Pegasus who was humming. "I'm not falling for this bit. No way. I'll jut play something that I know he cant defend against….my Blue Eyes!"

"Stop right there!" said Pegasus.

"Huh?" said Kaiba, as he was about to put down his Blue Eyes White Dragon.

"I'd like to play a little guessing game with that card you're about to throw out onto the field." said Pegasus.

"A game? We're in the middle of a duel here." Kaiba reminded him.

"What? I'm allowed to play a game." said Pegasus. "My Trap Card says so."

"Trap?" asked Kaiba.

"I played a card face down. Don't you remember?" Pegasus asked as he reveals his trap card. "Its called Prophecy, and it gives me the right to guess whether the card you're about to play has an attack power higher or lower than 2,000. And if I manage to guess correctly, Kaiba boy, then the card in question becomes mine."

"What? You cant just…." sputtered Kaiba.

"And I think I'll prophesize that it is indeed over 2,000." said Pegasus.

"Ohhh!" yelled Kaiba, looking down at his car.

"But, wait. Wait." Pegasus continued. "Something else is coming. Yes. Yes. I see Blue. I see White. Could it be? Yes! Of course! I see the Blue Eyes White Dragon!"

"UHHHHH!" screamed Kaiba.

"Was I right?" Pegasus asked, leaving a shocked Kaiba feeling a little scared. "Tell me I was right. I was right, right? I so hope I was right."

"Enough! Here! Take it!" shouted an angry Kaiba, placing his card down and sends it over to Pegasus.

"Hmm." Pegasus said, chuckling playfully as he held up Kaiba's Blue Eyes White Dragon smugly. "Now the most valuable card in your deck is mine."

"That's impossible. There's no way he could've seen my Blue Eyes before I played it. How did he know?" thought Kaiba.

"Pegasus must be up to his old tricks." said Yugi.

"You got that right." said Joey.

"He must be using his millenium eye to look at Kaiba's cards, just like he did with me." thought Yugi. "Poor Kaiba. Even his great skills don't stand a chance against Pegasus' power."

"Now I have 2 things you care about, Kaiba….your dragon and your brother." said Pegasus, chuckling playfully as he places Kaiba's card in his card hand. "Hmm. Let's see what else I can take. After your turn, of course."

"Without my Blue Eyes White Dragon, I have no choice but to switch my monster to defense mode." said Kaiba.

"Goody. Now its my turn again." said Pegasus as he draws another card from his deck. "Hmm. Kaiba looks so anxious. I wonder why. Perhaps I should look into the matter."

Using the millenium eye, Pegasus takes a look into Kaiba's mind. "Yes. Lets take a look at what cards he's holding." thought Pegasus and sees Kaiba's hand. "Ah. A Virus card, eh? And Saggi the Dark Clown, I see. You're planning to contaminate my deck by using those two in a combo attack. Brilliant. And normally a move like that would clinch the match for you. But not today, Kaiba…because as soon as you try and make that move on me, I'll have a little something of my own waiting for you. Ha ha ha ha! I'll lay one card face down on the field and one card face down in defense mode. And I'm afraid that's the best move that I can come up with."

"My turn! And my chance to finish this duel in one move!" said Kaiba. "Combo Attack! Infecting Saggi with this Crush card and then having him attack will spread a virus through Pegasus' deck. Every monster that he has with over 1,500 attack points will be disease ridden and useless."

"Wait! I remember this move." said Bakura.

"Yeah. It's the same thing Kaiba used on Yugi in their duel." said Tea.

"And in someway broke Yugi's spirit." said Paige.

"But this time, Pegasus is gonna catch the bug." said Joey.

"Don't count on it." said Yugi.

"Huh?" asked Joey and Mai.

"Please explain it to the rest of us, Yugi." said Paige.

"Pegasus knows that it's coming!" Yugi tells them.

"Since you just played your Crush card, I think now would be an opportune time to activate this." said Pegasus as he flipped over his face down card.

"Huh?" said Kaiba.

"Negative Energy!" said Pegasus, revealing his magic card. "It doubles your clown's attack points. And since the Crush card can only be hosted by monsters with less than 1,000 points, my magic makes Saggi the Dark Clown too strong for the job! So sorry." Saggi the Dark Clown grew in size as its attack points rose in power to 1,200, laughing.

"He had the perfect defense all set up before I even attacked. But how?" thought Kaiba.

"Oh, what's wrong, Kaiba? You look so sad." said Pegasus. "Keep your chin up. I'm sure it was just a lucky move on my part. But you know what they say, Kaiba…its better to be lucky than good. Ha ha ha ha! Ah! Talk about luck! My Dark Rabbit."

Dark Rabbit (ATT:1100/ DEF:1500) appeared on the field, grew as well as its attack power rose to 2,200. "And thanks to my Dark Energy spell, he's twice as strong." said Pegasus as Kaiba gasped. "But I'm sure he's still no match for you Stalwart Clown."

Laughing manically, Dark Rabbit punches rapidly at Saggi the Dark Clown, before landing one final punch that destroys him on the field and into the graveyard. Kaiba gritted his teeth as his life points dropped to 1,000 as everyone in the wings gasped at this.

"And I always thought a rabbit punch was a wimpy move." said Joey.

"Saggi didn't know what hit him." said Paige.

"I've never seen Kaiba so shaken before." said Tea.

"This is bad." said Yugi. "The duel just started, and Kaiba's already 1,000 life points behind!"

Kaiba gasps nervously as Pegasus malevolently chuckles at him. "Now you see how feeble your skills truly are, Kaiba boy, world champion." thought Pegasus, laughing internally. "I make you look like a novice. And I've only just begun to make use of my millenium eye. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!"
