Ch 37 The Crystal Valley Incident
Harry watches as his Parents and the Servants run around the Crystal Valley. He was in Ereshkigal's arms, holding onto her neck as they kept up with everyone.
The young Boy looks to the side, seeing the Crystal Valley. He has to admit that even with what his Mentor and Parents said about the place, it's still mesmerizing to look at. "Um, Ereshkigal what are we exactly going to do when we get to the People entering the Crystal Valley?" He asked the Goddess of the Underworld.
Ereshkigal looks at the young Boy, unsure how to explain this simply. "How should I put this…if those People enter the Crystal Valley, then we can no longer help them…" The Lancer explains to the young Boy. "It would be impossible for us to do something."
"How come? I thought you guys are Servants, you can do anything and nothing seems to stop you unless it's another Servant." Harry said, believing that they could do anything after seeing firsthand what they could do.
"W-We appreciate your kind words, young master…but don't think that we can do anything just because we're Servants," Ereshkigal said, explaining things to him. "We have to restrict ourselves so we can continue serving your Father. If not then both Alaya and Gaia will see Chaldea as a threat," The Pseudo-Servant said,
Harry nodded, seeing the Goddess does have a point. With so many powerful Servants gathered in one place others may see it as a threat, but it's a good thing his Father was a responsible Person and knows how much power he has with a simple command. "I understand, Chaldea is a powerful Organization and you guys need to restrain yourselves…"
Ereshkigal looks at the young black-haired Boy, not denying what he said. "Not only that but there are some Enemies that are more powerful than a Servant could handle." The Lancer added,
"Like ORT…"' Harry said that much was certain almost nothing could defeat it.
"Fou, Fou," Fou nodded, agreeing with Harry.
"But what can we do if they do enter the Crystal Valley?" Harry asked, curious about that scenario.
Ereshkigal frowns, answering the young Child. "All we can do is to tell them to get away from the Valley and explain why it's dangerous." The Lancer frowns, seeing the intruders up ahead. "And if they're already messing things up, then our top priority is to get master and you away from here."
Harry nodded, expecting that kind of situation. "Fou, Fou," He looks at the Beast, barking at the People within the Valley.
Ritsuka and Mashu saw that they were too late and the Wizards had already stepped foot into the Valley. "Damnit! We're too late!" He cursed, coming up to the edge of the Crystal Valley.
Yaxley smiles, looking around the Valley. A valley filled with Crystals he'd never seen before. "Just look at these Crystals! It's like it's filled with Magic!" The Head of Magical Law Enforcement commented.
"We can get rich if we sell this stuff in the Community." An Auror added, taking out his Wand and ready to mine the mineral.
"Heh, that Old Man was definitely hoarding this Crystal for himself." An Auror commented, casting the Explosion Charm at the Crystal ground. "Bombarda!"
The Spell went straight to the ground, causing a small tremor. They all saw that the Spell did not affect the Crystals. "These are one tough Crystals. The Explosion Charm didn't work," The Auror said, looking at where he cast the Spell.
"Not even a scratch, definitely a rarity." Another Auror said, having experience in the jewelry business of the Wizarding World. "It'll fetch a nice price once buyers know that it's stronger than Diamonds." He said, taking out his own Wand.
The Aurors took out their Wands, catching what the Auror was saying. "Right, if we do this together then we can make a bigger explosion to get some Crystals!" One of the Aurors smiles, aiming for the ground,
"Bombarda Maxima!" All the Aurors cast the Explosion Charm to the Crystal Valley, causing a larger tremor to happen.
Beneath the Crystal Valley, a large sleeping object felt the tremors from above. It began to rotate slowly before it started to glow, responding to the disturbance to its sleep. (Insert 【FGO】 Lostbelt 7 - ORT Battle BGM)
"There, that should-huh? It didn't break at all!?" Yaxley exclaims, seeing there's no scratch on the surface of the ground.
"We combined the Explosion Charm together and yet it didn't even scratch the surface." The Auror with the background of Minerals commented, unsure how a Mineral like this could withstand a powerful Spell in Wizard standards.
The other Aurors smile, seeing a huge profit out of the stuff. "It only makes it more profitable, let's do it again. Maybe-"
"Wait a minute," The other Auror halted the one who was talking, noticing the ground starting to glow a bright green hue.
Everyone smiles, thinking the same thing. Yaxley looks at everyone, "We hit the jackpot, everyone! These Crystals are Magical!" The Head of Magical Law Enforcement exclaims,
"Just think, with this many we can-"
Suddenly they heard some People coming to the edge of the Valley. They all looked up, seeing strangle-dressed People looking distressed. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!? GET OUT OF THERE IMMEDIATELY!" Ritsuka exclaims, shouting at the Wizards.
Mashu looks down at the Monitor in her hands, "Ritsuka, we detect some slight movement at the Crystal Towers…i-it's…" She gulps, looking up to see the Crystal Valley glowing as it did in the South American Lostbelt.
Ozymandias closed his eyes, seeing they can't prevent or save the Wizards now. "They're dead once they enter and disrupt the Ultimate One's slumber." The Rider groans, preparing to escape.
Ishtar clicked her teeth, "Tch, idiot bastards. Master, Mashu we can't do anything for them now." The Pseudo-Servant stated, "Anything we can do, it'll just draw attention to us."
Ritsuka gritted his teeth, hating that this was the outcome that Chaldea was trying to prevent. "Right,"
.Back with the Wizards, Yaxley and the others were shocked to see Muggles here in somewhere clearly Magical. "You, Muggle, this is a restricted Area. Only Ministry Officials can be here-"
"Sir, look!" One of the Aurors points to a young black-haired Boy with green eyes standing with a blonde Muggle. "It's Harry Potter! Those Muggles are the ones that both Dumbledore and the Minister told us about!"
Harry looks at the Crystal Valley, afraid of what's happening. The glowing Crystals were beautiful and yet terrifying. "Harry…" He looks at his Father, hearing him call his name.
"Y-Yes, Daddy?" Harry asked, flinching at his darkened gaze.
"Call Zhou Yu, have him pick us up and hover above this place with his Ship," Ritsuka told his Son, not wanting to be here for what's next.
Harry didn't hesitate, he stepped forward and called for his Servant. "Z-Zhou Yu, can you come here please." He called forth his Servant.
Zhou materialized next to Ereshkigal, hearing his master's call. "Yes, master?" He asked, being informed of the situation.
The Wizards started to walk over to the Muggles, their Wands in hand ready to take Harry by force. Yaxley was the one to lead them and the one to speak, "By the order of the Ministry of Magic, I place you Muggles under arrest for kidnapping-" He froze, seeing a large ship appearing above the Crystal Valley.
"W-Where did that Ship come from!?" One Auror asked, the flying ship wasn't that surprising to them but the fact it appeared out of nowhere baffled them.
Yaxley saw Ereshkigal take Harry in his arms and handed him to Zhou Yu. He proceeded to leap up the trees and onto the ship,
The same goes for Ritsuka and the others with the assistance of his Servants. Yaxley quickly ran to the Valley floor, about to Apparate to where they were heading. "WAIT! DON'T YOU DARE TO-"
Suddenly a loud and strange noise came from behind the Aurors. They all turn around, seeing a brighter light appear in between the three Crystal Towers. "W-W-What is…that…"
"What's happening?"
"What's going on!?"
"Something is happening to the ground!"
The Aurors were in a panic, unsure what was happening around them. Yaxley remained calm, thinking it was just a natural phenomenon with Magical Crystals as always. "Relax, everyone it's just Magical Crystals. There's nothing to-"
Harry walks up to the edge of his Servant's Ship with Zhou Yu and Fou. His eyes widened at what was happening beneath them.
Zhou Yu held his master's shoulders, ready to pull him back if it was too horrific. "Master, stand back. It's too dangerous for you to be this close to the edge." The Archer stated,
Ritsuka and Mashu sigh, watching the scene play out. "I never wanted you to see this Harry," Ritsuka spoke, crossing his arms. "This isn't meant for Children such as yourself should witness and yet you must. The one who truly rules the Planet, the one who invaded Earth, the one who we must never disturb."
"The Ultimate One of the Oort Cloud…ORT."
Harry saw a bright green light from the center of the Crystal Valley. A large projection of a metallic spider appeared in between the Crystal Valley. "T-That's…ORT…" His eyes widen, adding a new fear to his list. "I-It's huge…"
The Aurors down below gaze up at the Ultimate One, the one they have disturbed. They all froze, never seeing anything like it before.
Yaxley shook his head, raising his Wand at the Alien. "Fire on that Monster! Cast every Spell at it!" He exclaims, ordering the Aurors around him.
They all got out from their shock, seeing Yaxley fire some Attack Spells at ORT. They did the same, firing all sorts of Spells at the Ultimate One, but they have yet to even contact its Body.
"Keep firing! Keep attacking that thing!" Yaxley ordered, screaming all sorts of Spells. "DON'T STOP UNTIL IT'S DEAD!"
On Zhou Yu's Ship, the Chaldeans just watch the futile attempt of the Wizards to attack ORT. "Futile," Tlaloc stated, the rest of the Servants on patrol joined up with their master as they hovered above the Valley.
ORT didn't even look at the Wizards, however, it could sense them attacking it. With a simple shine, the Crystal Valley glowed brighter and was expanding inch by inch.
"DIE YOU THING, DIE, DIE DI-GAH!" The first Auror screamed feeling something hit his body. "W-W-What was-"
"YOUR BODY! IT'S TURNING GREEN!" The second Auror exclaims, looking at him with horror.
The Auror looks down, seeing his abdomen being pierced by a strange silver root. It retracted as the wound began to Crystallize into a green substance. "GAH! DO SOMETHING, I DON'T WANT TO DIE, I DO-" Soon, his entire Body was engulfed with Crystal, petrifying him.
The Aurors and Yaxley looked in horror as their fellow Wizard was turned to Crystal in an instant. "W-Walte-" They all watched as the Auror glowed and then shattered into particles,
The particles then traveled straight to ORT's Body, absorbing what was an Auror.
"KILL IT NOW BEFORE IT KILLS US LIKE IT DID TO WALTER!" Yaxley ordered, instantly casting more advanced Spells, even the Killing Curse to attempt to stop it.
They all responded to the Auror Leader, casting every Spell they knew at ORT.
ORT didn't budge, it moved its head as more silver roots hurled straight for the Wizards.
"NOT ME, NOT ME! WHO WILL LOOK AFTER MY-GAH!" The Second Auror was hit, his Body turning to Crystal like the other before turning into particles and traveling to ORT.
"NO, NO! PROTEGO!" The third Auror smirks, reacting in time to cast a Shield Charm to protect himself. "Ha, nothing can break this Shield Charm! I'm a-"
The silver roots hurl straight for the third Auror, shattering both his Shield and Wand, piercing his hand. "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" He knelt on the ground, seeing his hand turning into Crystal. "NO, STOP IT, STOP IT! NNNNNNAAAAAAAAAA-" Like the first two Aurors, he turned to Crystal and was absorbed into ORT.
Only three Aurors remain, one being Yaxley. They all saw how even the Shield Charm was useless against ORT's Attack, "Not even Protego can shield us! Yaxley, we have to go, now! Forget the Crystals, let's get out of here!"
Yaxley didn't hesitate to even start an argument, the Aurors instantly turned tail and ran to the edge of the Crystal Valley.
ORT witnessed the Aurors trying to escape, it glowed as the ground of the Crystal Valley sprouted more of its roots.
The Aurors ran, seeing the Amazon right before them. "We're almost there, we can make it!" Yaxley huffs, running straight to the Rainforest.
The fourth Auror huffs, still running from the Ultimate One. Unbeknownst to him, the Crystal ground beneath him cracks, silver roots burst from the ground and ensnared him. "NO, NO, NO! I CAN'T DIE HERE! I JUST CAN'T!" Both his arms and legs were turning to Crystals, encroaching on the rest of his Body, "I WAS GOING TO BE PROMOTED TO AUROR CAPTIAN! I GOT A GOOD LIFE AHEAD OF ME, I-I-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" His screams soon reach Death's ears, his mouth Crystalizing before his Body shattered like the rest.
The fifth Auror turns his head back, seeing the fourth turned to Crystals before shattering. "W-We were fools to even come here! Nothing could defeat that Monster!" He exclaims, almost reaching for safety.
"Come on, just a few more steps! Then we're home free," Yaxley cried, smiling upon reaching the edge of the Crystal Valley.
The two Aurors came to the edge, however, ORT reacted prompting to glow. The edge of the Valley began to sprout more and larger roots,
Yaxley ran as hard as he could as he leaped over the growing roots. Only the tip of the root pricked his foot through the shoe, he rolled on the dirt escaping the Valley. "HAHA! TAKE THAT YOU MONSTER-"
The Head of Magical Law Enforcement froze, seeing the fifth Auror trapped within the roots. "Y-Yaxley, help me! Help me, I can't die yet, I have yet to see the Minister again!" He begs Yaxley to help free him as tiny roots encroach him from every corner. "W-We're both Purebloods! We serve the same Ministry! HELP ME!"
Yaxley could only watch in fear, stepping away, not helping him. "Sorry, but I just escaped certain doom. I'm not risking my own life just to help a mere Mudblood." The Head of Magical Law Enforcement turned around and Apparate back to the South American Ministry of Magic.
The roots got closer and closer to the Wizard, "YAXLEY! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" The roots engulfed the Auror, turning him into Crystal and being absorbed into ORT.
On Zhou Yu's ship, everyone witnessed the Crystalizing of the Wizards. They all looked on with disappointment at how arrogant the Wizards were.
"Like Cattle for slaughter," Ishtar commented, crossing her arms. "They really are fools,"
However, for Harry, only fear is what he's feeling now. He saw the Ultimate One standing there at the center of the Crystal Valley unsure what it was doing. "D-Daddy, what is ORT doing? It's just standing there,"
"Fou, Fou…"
Ritsuka held onto his Son, hoping she'd be able to put ORT back to its slumber.
Suddenly a bright green light raced across the sky, it stopped in front of ORT.
Harry's eyes caught a glimpse of the light green-haired Woman in a Western style of clothing. "I-It's that Woman who called herself my Big Sister." He pointed to Kukulkan flying before the Ultimate One. "W-What is she doing?" He asked,
"That's Kukulkan, the Mayan version of Quetzalcoatl," Ritsuka explains who the Servant is. "She's a Lostbelt Servant, to be more specific the Lostbelt King of Nahui Mictlan, the Seventh Lostbelt."
Mashu steps forward, explaining to her Son of what's happening. "Kukulkan-san is not only the Lostbelt King of the South American Lostbelt, but she's also ORT's heart. A Foreigner Servant, Archetype-ORT," The former Demi-Servant explains, "Normally we have Arcueid; Archetype Earth here to talk to him as a representative of the Planet but she's at Chaldea Base/ Chaldea City in Antarctica."
Harry's eyes widen, shocked that the Flying Serpent from both the Mayan and Aztec Pantheon was an Alien Heart. "W-Wha…so does that mean K-Kukulkan is the only one to defeat ORT?" He asked both his Mother and Father.
Ritsuka shakes his head, "The best that Kukulkan can do is to convince ORT to return to sleep." He explains, seeing negotiations with the Ultimate One were going smoothly. "ORT was different in the Lostbelt where the Heart was ripped out. This one, the Proper Human History version hasn't had its Heart ripped out, so power scaling goes, ORT has the advantage."
Harry gulps, watching as the Lostbelt King of South America finishes the negotiations with the Ultimate One. (End Song)
The Crystal Valley's glowing ceased; the roots rescinded back into the ground. As for Ort, its body turned to light as the main Body returned to the underground where it resumed its slumbers.
Kukulkan smiles, turning to Zhou Yu's ship and giving a thumbs up indicating things are good.
"Negotiations have been successful; the crises have been inverted." Mashu gave a sigh of relief; knowing that it didn't lead to a situation like in Nahui Mictlan.
Everyone sighed, feeling their Body gave out after being on edge. Ritsuka for example flops down on the Ship's deck, laughing to himself.
Harry looks at his Father, curious why he is laughing. "D-Daddy, why are you laughing?" He asked,
"Because this was supposed to be a recon mission and almost turned into the end of the World." Ritsuka sat up, grabbing Harry and Mashu into a hug. "I think that's enough adventure for one day, right?"
Harry nodded with his Mother, agreeing with the comment. "Hmm."
British Ministry of Magic
"Yaxley, calm down," Dumbledore said, trying to ease the Head of Magical Law Enforcement. He was called in after Yaxley returned to the Ministry,
Currently, he was in the Minister's Office with Umbridge, Lucius, and Fudge, hearing what occurred in South America.
"Yes, calm down, Yaxley. You panicking won't help anyone, especially since you failed to retrieve the Boy." Umbridge scowls at Yaxley, one of the Ministry's top Wizard failing in a simple retrieval mission.
Lucius looks at Yaxley, pretending to be curious about the retrieval mission. "Did you at least see Potter's Boy on your failed excursion?" He asked, knowing already he was there. Thanks to Morgan informing him about the Ministry's actions he went back, leaving Narcissa in charge of the Outpost.
Dumbledore didn't like having Lucius in the room with them, knowing he was in cahoots with the Dark Lord. But things can't be helped since Fudge requested him here. "Yaxley, it's imperative that you tell us where Harry Potter is."
"Is he still in South America?" Fudge asked, seeing the Wizard nodding in response after calming down. "Then we can send more Aurors instead of Six. I knew South America was dangerous for six Aurors,"
Fudge cleared his throat, "In any case, Yaxley you will go back-"
"GO BACK!? GO BACK!?" Yaxley leaped out of his chair, "I WILL NOT GO BACK AFTER WHAT THAT THING DID TO THE AURORS!" He screamed, voicing echoing in the halls.
Umbridge adjusted herself, sternly looking at Yaxley. "Good Lord, Yaxley that's enough. We don't have time for this fairytale-"
'FARIYTALE!? IT'S NO FAIRYTALE YOU OVERGROWN TOAD!" Yaxley turns to the pink abo abomination,
"Why I ne-"
Dumbledore and Fudge tried to comfort Yaxley, but it was no avail. "Yaxley," The Headmaster spoke in a Grandfatherly tone. "What did you see there? What happened in South America that only you survive?" He asked, watching the once confident Wizard tremble in fear.
"I-It lies there…it s-slumbers, never wake it. F-For if you do, then Death is just c-close by…." Yaxley spoke, but not in his own words.
"Whatever do you mean, Yaxley? What Magical Beast did you see there?" Fudge asked, getting a bit impatient with him.
Yaxley didn't even heed the Minister's words, he held himself tight. "I-It came a m-million years ago, it a-arrive o-of the P-Planet's r-request…t-the C-Creature mustn't be touched." He said, trembling, "W-We cannot stand up against it…Wizards, Humanity…no life on the Planet's surface could ever defeat it!"
"Yaxley, nothing is impossible. We can-" Yaxley grabs hold of Dumbledore's robe, causing everyone to step back.
"YOU OLD COOT! HUMANITY AND WIZARDKIND CAN NEVER STAND AGAINST IT! ALL WE CAN DO IS TO TRUST THE NEXT LIFE AFTER OUR EXTINCTION TO POSSIBLY DEFEAT IT!" Yaxley screamed in Dumbledore's face, expressing the strength he witnessed.
Fudge steps to Umbridge, never seeing this type of insanity before. "He's gone mental…he's hardly himself." The Minster stated,
Umbridge steps forward, attempting to take the situation into her own hands. "Yaxley, you will calm down this instant or I'll have you placed in St. Mungo's Hospital for mental illness." The Toad warns the Wizard.
Lucius just observes before noticing a green Crystalline substance taking root. "Look at his right foot, something's growing." The Magus said, pointing to Yaxley's foot.
Everyone looked at the Wizard's foot, seeing the green Crytal encroaching up his leg. "W-What is that!? Yaxley, did you come here knowing you-"
Yaxley didn't listen, bursting through the balcony that oversees the Ministry's Lobby. "HEAR ME, AND LISTEN WELL, EVERYONE!" He screams, calling for everyone's attention. "SOUTH AMERICA'S CRYSTAL VALLEY IS OFF LIMITS! DEATH IS ALL AWAITS FOR YOU ALL IF YOU DARE!" His mind breaks, informing everyone what happened.
Dumbledore and the others witnessed as Crystal climbed up Yaxley's legs, turning them into Crystal. "THE ONE WHO SLUMBERS THERE BETWEEN THE CRYSTAL TOWERS! DON'T DISTURB IT, ONLY THE PLANET'S SCREAMS WILL AWAKEN THE CREATURE!"
"BEWARE OF THE ONE FROM THE OORT CLOUD, BEWARE OF THE ONE EARTH CALLED FOR!" Everyone looked in horror as the Crystal substance overtook his Body as he said his last words and warning to the Wizarding Community.
"BEWARE THE ULTIMATE ONE! BEWARE OF THE GIANT SPIDER OF THE CRYSTAL VALLEY! BEWARE OF ORT!" Yaxley's transformation to Crystal was complete, forever overshadowing the Wizards and Witches down below from the Minister's Office. Forever standing there as an example of who dares to disturb the Ultimate One, intentional or not.
