Katsuki's living room presented a chaotic scene of papers and files scattered across every available surface. A mix of ink and a whiff of coffee filled the air. It was the opposite to his usual order, which only grated on his nerves.

Among his team of FBI and law enforcement professionals, Izuku's crew stood out like misfits.

Kaina's tall and commanding presence seemed out of place amidst the mess, her stature contrasting with the disarray. Dabi, with his unkempt hair and a smug expression, emitted an aura of villainous vibes that rubbed Katsuki the wrong way. The faint scent of smoke clung to him, further intensifying Katsuki's wariness.

As Katsuki's gaze fell upon Todoroki, irritation simmered within him.

The unspoken rivalry between them always grated on his nerves, even though it was one-sided and Todoroki was not an active participant. Katsuki stood back, arms crossed, avoiding the mess.

Izuku wasted no time extending the invitation letter to Mirai, the deputy chief of police.

Katsuki's apprehension grew as he watched Mirai scrutinize it with narrowed eyes. A sense of unease settled over him, a gut feeling he couldn't ignore. The weight of the invitation hung in the charged atmosphere, silently threatening.

Dabi and Kaina stood quietly, observing and waiting for Izuku's permission to speak.

The room held its breath, waiting for Mirai's next move, while Katsuki's doubts and suspicions lingered.

The charged atmosphere intensified, leaving everyone on edge.

"What does this mean, Midoriya?"

Mirai's steady voice reflected Katsuki's own unease, laced with curiosity.

The invitation dangled before them, fragile like a spider's thread, but just as dangerous. Anticipation and unease twisted Katsuki's gut into a knot.

As a habit, Katsuki ran his fingers through his hair, the coarse texture against his fingertips, easing the tension in his chaotic thoughts.

Then Izuku spoke up, his voice calm and composed.

"My daughter, Eri, received the same invitation. It seems like a calculated move, intended to exert pressure on me and force my return to the organization."

Silence descended upon the room, heavy as a lead weight, as Izuku's words sank in. The situation was worse than they had imagined. They were using Eri as a pawn, manipulating Izuku into compliance.

Katsuki's grip on the table's edge tightened, his knuckles turning white. He could feel the coolness of the polished wood against his skin, grounding him amid the turmoil. Protecting Eri and ensuring Izuku's safety became their top priority.

Mirai furrowed his brows. "So, they're using Eri as leverage to make you comply?"

Izuku nodded, his gaze unwavering.

Mirai's solemn gaze swept the room, probing the depths of their resolve.

"You understand the risks? No guarantees of safety?"

Dabi's cocky smirk grated on Katsuki, his casual demeanor conflicting with the gravity of the situation.

Katsuki preferred Izuku's unwavering determination. No flinching. No hesitation. The guy had balls.

"We know the risks. Eri and Katsuki's safety is my top priority. We're prepared to face whatever comes." Izuku said.

"Then let's proceed."

Aizawa's tired yet resolute gaze scanned the room. He motioned for the two FBI agents to come forward, and the two did so without protest.

The woman's stance was straight and stiff as she waited, while her partner stood off to the side, his stance casual.

"Allow me to introduce Agent Momo Yaoyorozu and Agent Hawks." Aizawa said.

His voice carried a weary determination as he glanced over at everyone in the room.

"We reached out to them after recent evidence from one of my own showed a potential connection between our murder cases and theirs."

A pang of guilt struck Katsuki's heart, like a lightning bolt of remorse, as Aizawa's words echoed in his mind.

The image of Kirishima's determined face flashed before his eyes, mingled with the memory of the danger his friend had faced.

Anger surged within him, a tempest of frustration and indignation at the thought that they had let it come to this. His shoulders carried a heavy burden of guilt and responsibility that drove him to want to make things right.

Momo's presence commanded attention as she nodded respectfully at each member of the team, her eyes brimming with purpose.

"Thank you, Aizawa. As he mentioned, Hawks and I have been working tirelessly in the human trafficking division on a case for the past few months. It has been a grueling investigation, with countless leads that led to dead ends."

Hawks, with his relaxed demeanor and piercing gaze, chimed in, his words carrying a hint of frustration.

"Yeah, we've been chasing ghosts and every lead we followed seemed to slip through our fingers. But we refused to let it go."

Momo continued, her voice carrying the weight of their collective frustration and determination.

"But then, our luck changed when Mirai reached out to us with fresh evidence. Mirai provided us with evidence that linked the two cases."

Katsuki's eyebrows furrowed, his mind racing to piece together the puzzle that was unfolding before him.

Each fragment of information clicked into place, revealing a clearer picture of the twisted web they were trying to untangle.

The gravity of the situation settled heavily upon him, intensifying his determination to bring justice to those affected.

Momo's gaze swept across the room, her eyes shimmering with a mix of resolve and frustration.

"Our goal is to dismantle this organization from within, to ensure they claim no more lives. By pooling our knowledge and joining forces, we have a better chance of achieving that. But we must remain vigilant and united."

Dabi scoffed, his voice dripping with cynicism. The corners of Kaina's mouth curved up in an amused expression as if finding the idea amusing.

Stepping forward, Izuku's voice cut through the tension, calm yet unwavering.

"We can help take down Tomura, the likely mastermind behind this human trafficking operation. We can provide you with the evidence needed to shut it down. However, dismantling the entire organization would be an arduous task. It's a sprawling network, deeply entrenched and nearly impossible to pursue directly."

He paused, his gaze resolute.

"But we can exploit their self-preservation instincts to our advantage. The organization values its own survival above all else. If we can amass enough evidence against Tomura, they will see him as a liability, a threat to their existence. And they will have no choice but to serve him up to us on a silver platter."

Katsuki narrowed his eyes, the flames of determination flickering within. He grasped the logic behind Izuku's plan, the art of using the organization's own dynamics against them. It would be a delicate game, requiring finesse and strategy, but it held the potential to bring them closer to their goal.

"First, we need to uncover more about Tomura's plans and the dinner invitation will give us the opportunity." Izuku said.

Mirai interjected. "Cooperating with us doesn't guarantee immunity from prosecution. The risks remain high."

Katsuki's gaze flickered between the intense exchange of words, his expression clouded with a mix of curiosity and skepticism.

Dabi's smirk widened, a glint of amusement and bitterness shining in his piercing blue eyes. "Yeah, yeah, like we said, we can handle the consequences, old man," he shot back, his tone oozing with insolence.

Mirai's displeasure was clear, his frown deepening at Dabi's crude response. Instead, he turned his focus on Dabi's motives, which had remained unclear. "What exactly are your stakes in this situation? Why are you helping us?"

Dabi shrugged, stuffing his hands in his pockets with an air of indifference. "Bunny asked me for a favor and I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Plus, I wouldn't mind sticking it to Tomura a bit. Business hasn't been as smooth since he came into the picture."

Momo's inquisitive gaze shifted towards Dabi, her voice tinged with curiosity. "So then you must have a lot about Tomura's involvement in our case. Am I right?"

Dabi smirked, eying Momo, but he gave nothing away.

"Just tell her what you know, Dabi." Izuku said.

"Tomura's only interested in this human trafficking shit for the money." Dabi said.

Katsuki picked up on a mixture of amusement and bitterness at his words.

Momo's eyebrows furrowed as she questioned Dabi.

"And your involvement? Were you complicit in his plans?"

Dabi nonchalantly shook his head, his voice carrying a trace of indifference.

"Nah, I had no direct involvement on that side of Tomura's plans. I've always been more of an informant or hired hand. The organization keeps me around because I make for good security and I'm discreet. It's probably why Bunny brought me in."

"What do you mean?"

Todoroki finally piped up, his mismatched eyes curious by the new information. Dabi sighed as he moved over to the other man.

Resting his hand against the table, he gazed down at Todoroki with amusement.

Dabi leaned closer to Todoroki, a smirk playing on his lips as he observed the young man's curious expression.

"You're wondering if I can keep Tomura from sniffing out your plans, huh?"

Todoroki's gaze met Dabi's, his mismatched eyes narrowing, but he kept his tone composed.

"It's a valid concern. We need to ensure that our operation remains covert." He said.

Dabi chuckled, the sound carrying a mix of amusement and confidence.

"Well, I am good at what I do."

His voice dripped with self-assurance as he loomed over Todoroki.

"Tomura may be cunning, but I've stayed one step ahead of him so far."

Katsuki watched the exchange, his senses on high alert.

He could feel the heat emanating from the room, a result of their intense conversation. The taste of frustration lingered on his tongue, a bitter reminder of the obstacles they faced.

There was something about their interaction that intrigued him. Dabi tried to provoke Todoroki, but he kept his cool.

Izuku, who had been quietly observing, finally broke the silence.

"Dabi's skills as an informant and his ability to provide security have been invaluable to us so far."

"We wouldn't have made it this far without him."

Dabi's revelation lingered, leaving Katsuki with doubts about Izuku and Dabi's connection.

Aizawa's voice cut through the room, redirecting their attention to the matter at hand. "Let's focus on this dinner invitation. Any ideas?" he prompted, his voice carrying a no-nonsense tone.

Momo offered the use of a wire for Izuku, but both Izuku and Kaina dismissed the idea with a firm "no" s.

Dabi chimed in, his voice laced with amusement. "Walking in with a wire would be a dead giveaway. They'd spot it in a heartbeat," he pointed out.

Izuku hesitated before proposing his idea. "What if we present you as my partner, someone who has turned against your department for me?"

Katsuki's interest was piqued, but he frowned, uneasy about the idea.

"You want me to be seen as a dirty cop?" He asked, his voice sharp.

Izuku met his gaze, pleading for understanding. "I know it's not ideal, but to gain Tomura's trust, we need to play into his perception."

Katsuki's jaw tensed as he considered the implications.

"You really think Tomura would believe that?" he doubted.

Izuku reached out a hand, trying to reassure him. "We'd need to work out our story, but I think it could work."

Kaina muttered under her breath as she inspected her nails, her tone nonchalant. "I mean, I wouldn't consider Tomura to be the smartest crayon in the box."

Izuku looked over at Kaina in a warning. Her smile spread as she wiggled her fingers at him.

Katsuki deliberated, aware of the importance of defeating Tomura but uncertain of the repercussions. Katsuki observed Momo's determined gaze as she leaned forward, her voice carrying a respectful yet firm tone.

"I understand the importance of Izuku's involvement," she began, her eyes locked on Izuku's. "But I have reservations about fully trusting him. I'd prefer Hawks to have some involvement as well."

Izuku nodded, acknowledging Momo's concerns, and turned his attention to Dabi, who was leaning against the wall with a smug smirk. Katsuki noticed the subtle tension in Izuku's body as he posed the question.

"Can you pass him off as one of yours?"

He gestured towards Hawks, who stood nearby.

Dabi's smirk widened, his eyes glinting with amusement. He shifted his weight, pushing himself off the wall, and approached Hawks with an assessing gaze. After a moment's consideration, he finally replied, his voice carrying a confident undertone.

"Sure, I can make that happen. Hawks can blend in with my crew without a hitch."

Hawk's demeanor was nonchalant as he shrugged. "I've played many roles before. What's one more, long as the ends justify the means.."

Aizawa, his skepticism clear in his tone, interjected for more clarification.

"So Hawks will go in as one of Dabi's men, and Katsuki will pose as Izuku's lover? I understand Hawks, given his background, but can we really expect Tomura to be convinced that these two are lovers?"

Katsuki shifted his gaze between Aizawa and Izuku, unwilling to explain his complicated relationship with Izuku to his boss.

Kaina, unable to contain her amusement, chuckled and revealed the truth.

"Tomura has been keeping a close eye on Katsuki. And he's well aware of their recent, uh, intimate relationship and on top of their history as childhood friends."

Heat rose in Katsuki's cheeks, a mix of embarrassment and discomfort coursing through him.

Aizawa's gaze hardened as it landed on Katsuki, who instinctively looked away.

Katsuki could feel the weight of everyone's eyes on him, their expectations and doubts swirling in the air like a heavy fog. The room felt suffocating, the tension palpable, as he grappled to pose as Izuku's lover.

The heat in his cheeks intensified, a mix of embarrassment and unease washing over him.

He tried to focus on the news of being watched instead.

"So I've had a target on my back this whole time?" Katsuki asked.

Dabi, with his usual air of confidence, leaned against the wall and taunted Katsuki.

"Relax, blondie. Tomura has no intention of hurting you. He knows it would mess up his plans for Izuku. The only reason your partner got hurt was because your Commissioner didn't do his job right in keeping your department in line."

Katsuki clenched his teeth, frustration mounting, but he resisted the urge to respond.

Izuku cleared his throat, breaking the tense silence. Katsuki's attention snapped back to him as he spoke with a calm determination, his voice carrying a hint of persuasion.

"Katsuki, I understand your hesitation. But like I said, this may be the best way to gain access to Tomura and find the evidence we need. It's a risk, but it's a calculated one."

Katsuki and Izuku looked at each other, their shared history and understanding an unspoken presence.

Reluctantly, Katsuki exhaled a frustrated breath. His body tensed, his expression stubborn. "Fine. I'll play along. But don't think for a second that you actually get to control me, Izuku. We're in this together, but I'm not your puppet."

Izuku's eyes softened. "Of course not, Kacchan."

Mirai and Aizawa, after careful consideration, found themselves in agreement with Izuku's plan.

Despite the risks, they recognized the potential advantages of presenting Katsuki as a corrupt cop in Tomura's eyes.

It was an unorthodox approach, but the opportunity to exploit Tomura's expectations and gain insight into his operations was too good to pass up.

Katsuki clenched his fists. This whole situation was a damn mess, and he couldn't help but wonder how he ended up entangled in this chaotic web.

Izuku stepped forward, extending Kaina and Dabi's help to Mirai.

"You can lean on them for anything. They can provide valuable support in navigating the bureaucratic red tape and gaining any necessary resources for your investigation."

Mirai hesitated, his expression serious as he adjusted his tie.

"I appreciate the offer, but we must adhere to the rules. I won't engage in any illegal activities."

Izuku raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smirk on his lips. "Rules, huh? This situation is already blurring the lines of what is legal, don't you think? But I understand your position."

Mirai's gaze hardened, remaining professional in his stance as he adjusted his glasses but didn't retaliate with a response.

Katsuki knew Mirai should accept Izuku's help, but he stayed quiet. He accepted their actions and justified the means.

"Mr. Todoroki and I will work with Ms. Yaoyorozu in legally moving through any bureaucratic red tape. We can't risk pushing the line anymore than we are."

Todoroki quietly wrote a list while Momo nodded in agreement. Katsuki didn't envy their jobs one bit.

They agree to end things here for the night and Aizawa hesitated to leave Katsuki alone with Izuku, but Katsuki, who said he'd be fine, forced him out.

Done with his goodbyes, he notices Izuku giving Kaina and Dabi instructions away from the group before they leave.

Curiosity piqued, he approached them, his footsteps barely audible on the floor.

"What are you guys talking about?"

Izuku turned toward him, his eyes briefly flickering with a hint of vulnerability before he masked it. "Just some last-minute details, Katsuki. Don't worry about it."

A flicker of doubt crossed Katsuki's mind, but he trusted Izuku's judgment. After all, they were in this together. With a nod, he let the matter rest for now.

As the room emptied, leaving them alone, Katsuki felt a magnetic pull toward Izuku's side. Like a switch, the charged air permeated as it crackled with anticipation, hovering between them like a tempting challenge.

Katsuki's hand hovered in the air, his gaze fixed on Izuku. He knew there was something more between them, a desire that refused to be ignored.

He cleared his throat, attempting to maintain a casual tone, though his voice carried an undertone of roughness.

"Listen, Deku," Katsuki started, his words laced with both determination and longing.

"Once all of this shit is over, you think we'll finally talk... about us?"

Izuku's eyes flickered, a mix of acknowledgment and caution dancing across his features. He straightened his posture, his voice steady yet gentle.

"We can't afford any distractions."

Katsuki scowled, frustration bubbling beneath the surface. The conversation was going in circles and he wanted to move forward, but he understood the importance of their mission.

"I get it, Deku. But don't shut me out completely. We can still work together... and maybe, just maybe, see where things go."

Izuku let out a weary sigh, his gaze fixed on the floor.

"Katsuki, I can't promise you anything. I've always been weak-willed when it comes to you. But maybe... maybe it's better if you find someone normal, someone who can give you what you deserve."

Katsuki grumbled under his breath, unwilling to accept Izuku's rejection entirely. He knew their bond was stronger than the walls Izuku tried to erect.

"Fuck normal. Who the hell can handle my ass but you? Look, I'm not saying we have to decide now, but I want you to think about it. And just so you know, I'm not giving up. Not now, not ever."

Izuku nodded, a mock irritation tugging at his lips. "You're insufferable, you know that?"

Katsuki's smugness broke through as he wrapped his arms around Izuku, reveling in the inch he had gained in their tug-of-war.

"Yeah, well, for now, you're stuck with me, lover. So we might as well get comfortable. We wouldn't want Tomura getting suspicious, now would we?"

Izuku gave in, embracing Katsuki with fondness and exasperation.
