A/N: This chapter is a major point of canon diverson as a new leader is added to Neville, Ginny, and Luna.

"Hey, Sally?" called out Neville, "Can you stay beyond for a bit? Ginny, Luna, and I would like to speak with you."

"Yes," agreed Sally.

So, as most members of the newly reformed D.A. left the meeting for the night, Sally approached Neville, Ginny, and Luna at the front of the Room of Requirement.

"Sally, " said Neville proudly, 'You were the best tonight, no if, ands, ors, or buts about it."

Sally smiled.

"I've always been a very gifted magician with a wand in my hand," said Sally softly, "I'm an O student in Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, and Transfiguration. I'm the second best student in my year in all three disciplines. Harry Potter is tops in my year in Defense Against the Dark Arts while Hermione Granger is tops in my year in Charms and Transfiguration. Defense Against the Dark Arts is my best student whereas my favorite subject is Charms. This is unusual for a Hufflepuff because most Hufflepuffs best and favorite subjects are Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures. Hufflepuffs tend to be drawn to life. I' being an indoor girl through and through, much prefer Charms. But I think we can all agree that Defense Against the Dark Arts is the most important subject."

"Quite," nodded Neville, "And since you are such a hotshot at Defense Against the Dark Arts, I would like to offer you a promotion."

"A promotion?" repeated a confused sounding Sally.

"I suspect," piped up Luna, "That Neville wants you to join Ginny, me, and him as one of our leaders. Neville and Ginny are Gryffindor and I'm Ravenclaw. I think it would be invaluable to have a Hufflepuff amongst our leaders."

"I completely agree," said Ginny fiercely.

"That's exactly the promotion I wish offer Sally," confirmed Neville.

"What would becoming a leader entail?" questioned Sally wisely.

"Mostly to join Ginny, Luna, and me at some meetings with just the four of us where we plan out future meetings for the entire group such as what we are going to teach them and so forth."

"Yeah, I could definitely help out with that, " said Sally, still quietly but sounding more confident, "I'm knowledgeable enough about Defense Against the Dark Arts to have a good feel for which spells would be most useful to teach the group and what the best approaches would be."

"That's precisely why you should become one of our leaders," declared Neville clearly, "I take it you are accepting the offer to become one of our leaders?"

"Yes, I am," said Sally softly.

"I know you're too shy to of much value as a recruiter," interjected Ginny, "So we won't ask you to take on that responsibility."

Sally looked a bit relieved at that.

"However," said Luna dreamily, staring up at the ceiling, "You can help us out with our mission to create new defensive spells of our own."

"That I will definitely do," said Sally proudly, puffing out her chest, "If a defensive spell is needed for something specific, you can tell me what to work on. Otherwise, I'll be working on experimenting with various defensive spells that I think might help us out in general."

"Just don't let the wrackspruts infest your brain while you're working," added Luna.

"Thank you, Neville, Ginny, and Luna," said Sally quietly, "I appreciate the faith and confidence you three are showing in my and I'm grateful for the promotion. I look forward to the challenge of being one of the leaders of the newly reformed D.A. and helping us win this war."
