It was a beautiful morning here in the Kalos Region in Aquacorde Town. This was one of the smaller towns compared to Luminous City and many of the other larger cities. There were PokeBall shops that sold a few rare pokeballs and a market selling medication and Pokemon food. The number one attraction was the Training Center, where pokemon trainers came to train their pokemon in hopes of preparing for upcoming gym battles. It used to be a Water-type Pokemon gym where trainers came to earn a gym badge for the Kalos league. However, the gym leader turned it into a dojo a year ago.
Across from the dojo was a large red and black house home to the dojo owner and his family. Inside of the house, he was located in a bedroom with yellow-painted walls with blue stars. A small lion cub was sleeping in the corner of the bedroom on a princess-style pokemon bed, while a young boy was sleeping peacefully in a bed with thick Ralts covers over his body, snoring softly. This boy was none other than Logan Windward, the son of Diantha and Lewis Wasserstorm.
The Pokeball alarm clock on the nightstand to the right of the bed started going off as Fletchling popped out of it and let out an annoying cry. Logan groaned and turned to the other side, and smacked the alarm clock onto the floor, making a sound noise startling the loin Pokemon.
"Li..?" The loin Pokemon cried out in confusion, opening her eyes.
Litleo yawned, looking around and seeing the room was slightly dark because the curtains were barely open. She looked over at the bed to see Logan sleeping and used her mouth to open the curtains waking up the young boy.
"It burns. Turn it off," Logan muttered, pulling the blanket over his face.
Litleo climbed onto the bed and clawed at Logan's face.
"Litleo!"
"Ahh!" Logan screamed, holding his face in pain, and glared at Litleo.
"Ruby, how many times do I have to say don't do that?"
"Litleo," Ruby cried out, smiling.
"I know that I should be getting up, but next time just lick my face," Logan said, petting Litleo's head as he sat on up in bed.
"Logan! Come downstairs. Breakfast is ready, birthday boy!" A familiar female voice called out from downstairs.
"I'm coming, Mom!"
Logan and Ruby then climbed down the bed and started to walk towards the bedroom door. Along the way, they passed posters of many legendary Pokemon, movie posters, and a picture on the wall of Logan as a very small kid and Ruby as well another with him older and three other people one female and two males who look like twin brothers.
Logan and Ruby walked through the hallway leading past the front door and into the kitchen. Logan pulled out a chair and sat down at a large rectangular black marble table as Ruby sat down on the ground to the left of the chair.
"Good morning, Mom," Logan greeted.
His mother was dressed in her usual elegant white outfit, cooking breakfast. After a few minutes, she put a plate of waffles, bacon, and eggs on the table. As well as a bowl of Pokemon food in front of Ruby.
"Good morning, son," She greeted.
"Where is Father?" He asked.
"He outside taking care of his Pokemon," Diantha replied.
"I see."
She then took off her apron and walked over to a sliding door, and opened it standing on the balcony.
"Lewis, breakfast is ready, and the birthday boy is up!"
She looked down near the pool and saw a young man in his early 30s sitting there. It was her husband, Lewis, a highly skilled Pokemon trainer, and former Gym leader, but now the proud owner of the Training Center dojo. Along with him are two Pokemon one is in the pool to be treated for an injury, and the other is lending a helping hand.
Swampert was Lewis's number-one partner and his most strongest. While Lapras was a new addition, he was found alone and injured in the river. Swampert was helping to talk to Lapras, trying to keep him calm as Lewis treated his wounds.
"Lewis!" Diantha called out.
Lewis turned around to see Diantha on the balcony.
"Come on in. At breakfast time, and don't forget you have plans with the birthday boy."
"Coming!"
He finished wrapping up Lapras flipper. Swampert waved bye to Lapras before following Lewis inside the house. Lewis stops at the bathroom and washes their hands before joining Dainatha and Logan in the kitchen at the table. They start enjoying their breakfast as well as their Pokemon in peace, talking every now and then.
After having breakfast, Diantha left with her manager Kathi Lee for movie production after leaving him a birthday present which consisted of a white egg with blue and orange spots inside of an incubator.
Logan and Lewis, we're now in the living room, opening more presents. One was a red Pokenav from his uncle Wallace, a Pokedex from Professor, a new Litleo bag from his father, a new jacket from his mother, and finally, a new sleeping bag.
"Wow, so many amazing!" Logan exclaimed.
"Litleo!" Ruby cried out in agreement especially loving the backpack.
"So, son, now that you are ten, have you decided on where you want to go for your first pokemon journey?" Lewis asked.
"Ruby and I talked about it last night and decided we want to go to the Kanto Region," Logan said."I believe starting in a region from hom will help me not only find new pokemon to catch but allow us a chance to discover what of gym leader I want to be, fire type or excellent, but im not sure if I want to be a fire type gym leader or not. This will allow me to study other gym leaders by entering the league after earning the badges."
"I believe that is a great decision. You will enjoy ot their small region compared to Kalos, but a lovely place to begin as a new trainer," Lewis said.
The following day Logan was at the airport talking to his mother. Lewis was at home with Lapras, who seemed more comfortable with him than she was before.
"Logan, Kanto is quite far away. Are you sure you're ready for a journey away from home that much?" Dainatha asked.
"I don't know, but I won't know unless I go for it, right?"
Dainatha smiled."You really grow. I remember you used to be afraid of anything new now you are willing to try new things," She said, placing a hand on his head."Well, here you go, the Dexnav programmed with a map of Kanto, and Professor Scayamore sent your Pokedex to Professor Oak so you have information on the pokemon in Kanto. He will have pokeballs for you. So make to head straight for Pallet Town as soon as you arrive."
"I will make sure to do that," Logan said, hugging his mom goodbye."Tell Dad I love him."
"I will."
Logan waved by as he headed towards the gate after checking in and going through security. He was finally boarding the plane after an hour, along with other passengers, off to the Kanto Region to start his new journey with Ruby. There he will see new places, new Pokemon, and new people along the way.
Too be continued...
