"After a good night's sleep after dealing with Team Rocket. Logan and Elaine are now leaving the Pokemon Center after eating breakfast," The Narrator said as Logan, Ruby, and Elaine are seen leaving the Pokemon Center as the sun rises.

Logan and Elaine were about to walk into Virdain Forest when a familiar voice stopped them from going any farther.

"Wait up!" Officer Jenny shouted.

"Yeah, Officer Jenny?" Logan questioned.

"Here. Nurse Joy wanted to have this Pokemon after all your help last night," Officer Jenny said as she handed him the Pokeball.

"Thank you," Logan said as he released the pokemon.

"Ekans!" The pokemon cried out.

"Now look at that cute little fellow," Logan said, kneeling and pulling out his pokedex.

"Ekans, the Snake Pokemon. A Poison type. This Ekans is a Male. The older it gets, the longer it grows. At night of, it wraps its long body around three branches to rest. It moves silently and stealthily. Eats the eggs of birds, such as Pidgey and Spearow whole."

" Cool, an Ekans, just like last night," Elaine commented.

"True, but the little fellow is perfect. I call him Fani," Logan said as he picked up Fani and placed him around his arm.

"Take care of him. It has been doing great since it was brought in. We believe that someone abandoned him since he usually avoids people," Officer Jenny said.

"That's horrible," Elaine stated.

"Agree well, bye, for now, tell Ash next time we meet we should battle," Logan said, waving bye as he and Elaine entered the forest.

Logan, Ruby, and Elaine were walking and looking around Virdain Forest before deciding to take a rest near a stream after three hours of walking.

"Everyone, come on out," Logan called out, sending out his Pokeball.

"Squirtle! Ratta! Meowth! Ekans!" They cried out.

"Same for you," Elaine called out, sending out her Pokemon.

"Eevee! Horsea! Growlithe!" They cried out.

"Everyone meet Fani and Mittens. They are the new member of the team. Also, meet Elaine. She and her Pokemon will join us," Lova said as he introduced everyone.

"Meow! Ekans!" Mittens and Fani greeted.

"Hi there," Elaine said.

"Lit," Ruby said as she nodded at a green caterpillar Pokemon.

"A Caterpie," Elaine said as she pulled out her pokedex.

"Caterpie, the Worm Pkemon. A big type. To repel enemies, Caterpie releases an unpleasant odor from its red antenna. It molts several times while growing."

"Eevee, use Tackle!" Elaine commanded.

"Eevee!" Eevee ran forward and slammed into Caterpie, causing it to faint.

"Go Pokeball," Elaine said as she threw a Pokeball and caught Capterpie."Alright, I got myself a Caterpie."

"Nice capture," Logan said.

"Thanks," Elaine said.

"That was nothing," A familiar voice said.

Logan and Elaine turned to see none other than Team Rocket standing in front of them.

"You three again," Elaine said in annoyance.

"Tewrp, hand over your Squrtile and feline. Those two power is almost unique as that Pikachu," Meowth stated.

"Not happening," Logan said with narrow eyes.

"Ekans go!" Jessie said, sending out Ekans.

"Koffing!" James said, sending out Koffing.

"Ruby and Patrick, let's go!" Logan commended, pointing forward as Litleo and Rattata ran before him.

"What, that little rat going to do?" James asked, laughing.

"I wouldn't be too sure, Ruby Ember and Patrick Quick Attack!" Logan commanded.

"Koffing Sludge!"

"Ekans Wrap!"

Ruby fired multiple balls of flames, causing the sludge to explode and blast Koffing back. While Patrick quickly slammed into Ejans, knocking it back to the ground.

"Again, Ember and Patrick Bite!"

"Lit! Rattata!" They shouted, releasing their attacks and knocking out Ekans and Koffing.

"No Ekans!" Jessie said, picking up Ekans.

"My Koffing!" James shouted worriedly.

"Ugh, I got to do everything around here," Meowth said, walking forward.

"I don't think so, Ruby Ember!" Logan commanded.

"Litleo!" Ruby cried out, hitting Meowth and sending him crashing into Jessie and James.

"You win tewrp, but your Litleo and Squirtle will be ours one day," Jessie said, picking up Meowth.

"Correct, so don't think this is the last of yous," James said.

"There strange," Elaine stated as Team Rocket was seen running off with Meowth.

"Yeah, I guess, alright, let's get some training in," Logan said, looking at his Pokemon.

"I'm going to prepare food for my Pokemon," Elaine said as she watched Logan go find a spot to train.

"Alright," Logan called out.

After hours of training, Ruby ended up learning Heabutt and Flame Charge. Patrick now knows Dig and Hyper Fang. Shelly Bubble Beam and Mittens and Fani improved their speed slightly. Now Logan and his Pokemon we're eating after setting up the tent for the evening.

The following day Logan and Elanie woke up to a loud screeching sound.

"What was that?" Elaine asked.

"Did!" A voice cried out.

Logan looked to see a two-headed bird jumping high in the air.

"A Doduo," Logan said, taking out his pokedex.

[Dodudo, the Twin Bird Pokemon. A Normal/Flying type. A bird that makes up for its poor flying with its foot speed. Leaves giant footprints. Its short wings make flying difficult. Instead, these pokemon run at high speed on developed legs.]

"Awesome, let's go, Shelly!" Logan said, sending out Squirtle.

"Squirtle!" Shelly cried out.

"Bubble Beam!"

"Squirtle!" Shelly cried out as she fired a beam of water toward Doduo from its mouth.

"Dod!" Doduo cried out as it dodged the bubble beam and fired a Tri Attack at Shelly.

"Dodge and Rapid Spin!" Logan commanded.

Shelly dodged the attack as she with into her shell and spun around, and slammed into Doduo.

"Great job, Pokeball. Go!" Logan shouted, throwing a Pokeball at Doduo and catching it.

"Squrit!" Shelly cried out happily.

"Okay, let's move on," Logan said, returning his Squirtle.

"Yeah, let's get going," Elaine agreed.

A rustling sound was heard in the bushes. Logan and Elaine turned towards them.

"Hiya!" A boy in a samurai outfit shouted as he struck a sword in Logan and Elaine's faces.

Logan smacked the sword away and tossed him to the side."What do you think you're carrying and pointing a sword in someone's face?" He snapped.

"I'm sorry, I'm Samurai," The boy introduced, getting up."I patrol the forest for a trainer from Pallet Town. Are one of you from Pallet Town?"

"No, I'm from Kalos."

"I'm Elaine, and I am from Pallet."

"Then we shall have two on two pokemon battles," Samurai said.

"Okay."

"Have fun. I'm going to search for more pokemon to catch," Logan said, walking off to find another Pokemon to catch while they were still in the forest.

Logan and Ruby were walking through a clearing near Elaine when he found a golden plant Pokemon.

"Hey there, little one, everything okay?" He asked, looking down at the little plant with a data leaf.

"Bell," Bellsprout whimpered.

"Here you go," He said, spraying the leaf with a potion.

"Bell!"

"Alright, good to go," He said, wrapping it up."How would you like to join me?" He asked.

"Bell," Bellsprout cried out happily.

"Alright," Logan said, tapping a Pokeball on its head and catching it.

"Ahh!" A female voice screamed.

"Lit?" Ruby said, hearing the scream.

Logan and Ruby turned to see Jessie running from four Beedrill when she tripped about to be attacked.

"Ruby Ember! Shelly Bubble Beam!" Logan called out, sending out Squirtle.

The two Pokemon successfully scare the Beedrill and knock out one of them, allowing Logan to catch it.

"Are you alright?" Logan asked, walking over towards Jessie."You're not hurt, are you?" He smiled, kneeling in front of her.

Jessie looked up at Logan, seeing the concern in his eyes, and blushed slightly at how he looked at her.

"No, I'm fine," Jessie replied.

"That's good. Come, let's get you out of here so you're in a safer place to wait for your friends," He said, holding out a hand."Staying here is dangerous," He said.

"Uh, Thank you," Jessie said, looking down and taking his hand.

"Of course, I wasn't going to leave you here in harm's way. That's not my style," Logan said, helping her up.

"There you are," Elaine said, walking towards Logan and Ruby."What are you doing here?" She asked, looking at Jessie.

"It's alright Beedrill were attacking her, and she fell," Logan said."She is coming with us out of the forest. Leaving her alone is dangerous. She can wait for her friends, safer on the outside."

"That's fine with me. At least she is not stealing," Elaine said.

"Eev!" Eevee agreed from the top of Elaine's head.

"Then let's go," Logan said, looking at Jessie as they walked down the path.

"After another encounter with Team Rocket. Logan does some training with his Pokemon and catches three new Pokemon as he and Elaine continue their way through Viridian Forest. Where Logan runs into Jessie being attacked by Beedrill and offers to lead her out of the forest towards Pewter City," The narrator said.
