"Last time, Logan, Elaine, and Pearl took a nice break to rest near Pokemon. They soon join by River, who decides to travel with and an unconscious Charmander as they travel deeper into the forest," The narrator said as the four trainers are seen walking through tall grass with Ruby on Logan's shoulder and Charmander in his arms.

"I'm sure we're almost out of here," Logan said, looking back at Pearl.

"I hope so because this is getting exhausting walking through all the grass," Pearl said with an exhausted sigh.

"I'm sorry; I don't know why Eevee ran this way off the path," Elaine said, looking at Eevee in her head.

"Who knows, maybe she senses something," River replied.

"Maybe anyway, let's find a place to rest and check on Chamander's status," Logan said.

"Good idea," River agreed.

The four trainers then came across some rocks and sat down on them.

"Alright, let's see," Logan said, putting down Charmander and looking over its body, seeing the bruises still needed time to heal, and the flame was still only a bit bigger than before.

"Oh, look at that," Elaine said, looking over to see a female Nidoran drinking from a pond.

"A female Nidoran," Logan said, looking away from Charmander as he took out his Pokedex.

[Nidoran, The Poison pin Pokemon. Its poison pin is quite powerful for its size, but its horn is smaller than a male's.]

"I want to catch it," Elaine said, standing up from the rock she was sitting on.

"Go for it," Logan said.

"Let's go, Eevee Tackle!" Elaine called out.

"Vee!" We'vee cried out, jumping down for Elaine's head and running towards Nidoran, slamming into it.

"Nido!" Nidoran cried out, falling onto the ground.

"One more Tackle!" Elaine ordered as Nidoran attempted to get back up.

"Eevee!" Eevee cried out, slamming into Nidoran and knocking it out.

"Now, Pokeball, go!" Elaine said, throwing at Nidoran.

However, before the Pokeball could connect with Nidoran, something smacked it away. That is when they noticed a Bulbasuar standing before the female Nidoran.

"A Bulbasuar?" Elaine questioned, taking out her pokedex and scanning

[Bulbasuar, The Seed Pokemon. It bares the seed of a plant on its back. The seed slowly develops. Researchers are unsure whether to classify Bulbasuar as a plant or animal. They are adamant and challenging to capture in the wild.]

"Bulbasuar!" Bulbasuar cried out, slamming into Eevee and sending her flying into Elaine's arms.

"Ah, Eevee, are you okay?" Elaine asked, looking down at Eevee.

"Lit!" Ruby cried out, getting in front of Elaine.

"Right, Ruby, it's our turn, Bulbasuar. Your mine," Logan said, smiling."Ruby Flamethrower!"

"Litleo!" Ruby cried out, releasing a powerful flame at Bulbasuar.

Bulbasuar opened its mouth and blew the flame back at Ruby, causing her to fall back, and then slammed right into her, knocking her down.

"Lit," Ruby cried as the Nidoran and Bulbasaur ran off.

"Looks like they got away," River said.

"Yeah, oh well, maybe we'll find something else to catch around here," Logan said, picking up Chamander as Ruby climbed back on his shoulder.

"Charmander show any sign of waking up yet?" Pearl asked, looking at the shiny Chamander in Logan's arms.

"No, not yet. The flame is improving think it will be okay, but I still need to get a proper medic to examine the fellow," Logan said, looking down at Chamamder.

"Well, there, hopefully, be Pokemon Center not far from here once we get back to the path," River said, looking at his map.

"First, we have figured out how to get out of this forest," Elaine stated.

"Vee!"

"It's alright, Eevee. We know that you didn't mean to take us off course," Logan said."What matters is we find a way back on course so Chamander can get looked at," He said, looking at Chamander, who he shifted slightly in his arms.

"Right, let's go. I'm sure there is a way back on course up ahead," Elaine said.

"You be better soon, Charmander," Logan said, moving it closer to his chest.

They soon came across a bridge over rushing water.

"Look, a bridge made it leads back to the right path," Elaine said.

"I don't know. It doesn't seem that safe," Pearl stated.

"I agree we should try to find another way," Logan said."Charmander could fall in and get hurt worse."

"Logan, right, let's look around for a safer way," River said.

"Right, and if we can't find one, then I just have to catch Charmander and hope it doesn't freak out when it wakes up in Professor Oak's lab," Logan stated.

"Hey, Eevee, help us look for another path," Elaine said.

"Vee!" Eevee cried, jumping down from Elaine's head and started looking around.

"Lit!" Ruby cried, joining in on the search.

"Don't worry, Charmander; we'll find another way to the other side," Logan said, looking at Chamander's flame.

"There is a side pathway!" Elaine pointed out towards a path to the left where Eevee was.

"Alright, let's go then and get out of this forest," Pearl said.

"Hey, don't worry, Pearl. We get out of here," Logan said.

"He right. We shouldn't have any trouble after this. We avoided a possibly dangerous bridge," River stated.

"Yeah, this should hopefully lead safely back on course," Elaine said as Eevee climbed back on her head.

"Ruby, you keep an eye out for danger," Logan said.

"Lit!" Ruby cried, taking the lead in front.

After a few hours of walking, they were now walking on a rocky path past a stream of water.

"Lit!" Ruby cried out, stopping.

"What the matter? Is there something around?" Logan asked.

"Leo!" Ruby said, nodding to the right.

"I think she is telling us to move to the right," Pearl said.

"Lit!"

"Seems so maybe this spot ahead not safe," Logan said. They all walk to the right of the path."Good leading, Ruby; let's get out of here and take Charmander to get treated."

"Lit!"

They then heard a rustling sound and turned to the source to see a Bulbasuar sticking its head out of the bushes.

"Bulba."

"A Bulbasaur," Elaine said.

"Yeah, though, I'm positive it's a different one; the personality seems different," River stated.

"Bulbasaur!" Bulbasaur said, walking towards Logan and nodding.

"Hey there, Bulbasaur," Logan greeted.

"Bulba," Bulbasaur said, nodding toward the bushes.

"You want us to follow you?" Logan asked.

"Saur!"

"Then let's go. It lives here, so it must know how to get out of here safely," Elaine said.

"Alright, lead the way," Logan said.

"Bulbasaur!" Bulbasaur said, leading them through the bushes.

The gang then arrived at a brown cabin near a large lake, where they saw a young woman with blue hair feeding some Pokemon.

"Hello there," Elaine greeted.

The woman turned around in surprise, seeing them.

"Pokemon trainers," She said, surprised.

"Bulba!" A Bulbasuar cried, walking over to the woman and getting in front of her, growling at Logan and the others.

"Saur!" The other Bulbasuar said, getting in front of the other Bulbasuar.

"Bulbasuar, stop it; your friend brought them here, so they must not mean any harm," The woman said."Sorry Bulbasuar helps protect the other pokemon from the trainer because they have been hurt and abandoned by their Pokemon trainer. My name is Melanie, and I care for them," She said.

"Really, then, maybe you can help this Charmander I found," Logan said, holding out Charmander.

"Ah, I see, so then this little female here was trying to get you here to help Chamander," Melanie said, grabbing Chamander."Let's take a look and see what's up," She said, taking Charmander inside.

"Bulba."

"Yea, you can come. I know how much you love helping treat them," She said, smiling at the female Bulbasaur."You four come as well Charmamder would probably want to see the face of the trainer who has been trying to find him help."

They nodded and followed them inside as the male Bulbasaur continued to growl at them but didn't act.

Melanie then placed Charmander down on a soft fireproof blanket and examined its body."It seems that it took some severe damage, but it seems it has been healed slightly with some more treatment and medicine; he should be okay." She said, putting a bottle of medication in its mouth.

"I healed it much as I can with my special healing gift but only can faintly heal him. Using it too long causes me to faint since I don't know how to use it properly since we don't know anyone who knows how it works," Logan said, kneeling next to Chamander as the medicine was all gone.

"You have gifts as well?" Pearl asked.

"What do you mean, Pearl?" Logan asked, looking at Pearl.

"My family and mean others in my home city have Psychic powers, but my older sister always treats me like my powers are weak, which is she took my Abra, saying she never got as strong as her Abra that probably close to evolving," Pearl said.

"So you went on a journey to prove her?" Elaine asked.

"Yeah, and one day, I can prove her wrong," Pearl

said.

"I'm sure you will, and help you any way I can," Logan said.

"Alright, looks like Charmander is waking up," Melanie said as Charmander started to open his eyes slowly.

"Hi there, Charmander," Logan said, smiling softly at Charmander.

"Char?"

"It's an okay little fellow. We are just helping you recover," Logan said, gently stroking Charmander's head."You seem excellent, and I was wondering if you would want to be my Pokemon. If not, you could go back to the wild."

"Char," Chamander said, looking at Logan and then Ruby, who happily nuzzled against his leg.

"I think he wants to be your Pokemon, and it looks like the female Bulbasaur like you as well. You don't mind taking her as well. Charmander should be fine with rest for a couple of days," Melaine said.

"Sure then, both of you, well aboard, but for now, you be with Professor Oak since my current team already has six Pokemon, but we'll see each other soon," Logan said, tapping a poke all over their heads.

Charmander and Bulbasaur were then successfully caught without struggle, with one being weakened and the other happy to be caught without a fight. They then disappeared from his hands as they were sent to Professor Oak's lab.

"I know that take care of them with how much you cared for Chamander to find it help instead of catching it."

"Of course, he will, Logan, a very caring person," Pearl said.

"That's right, well, why don't we get going before that Bulbasaur gets any madder about us being," Elaine said, opening the door as she saw the same Bulbasaur growling at them again.

"Thanks for the compliment, Pearl and Elaine," Logan said, laughing."Bye, the four of us need to get going, He said.

"Alright, take care, Logan, Pearl, Elaine, and um," Melanie paused.

"Name River," River said.

"Alright, great meeting the four of you. Take care, Logan, Pearl, Elane, and River."

"We will," The gang said together, getting ready to leave until the female Nidoran stopped them from earlier running towards Elaine.

"Bulbasaur!"

"No, Bulbasaur, let Nidoran go with them if she wants to."

"You want to come with me?" Elaine asked.

"Nido!"

"Alright then, here we go," Elaine said, putting a Pokeball against Nidoran's horn as it was sucked inside.

The Pokeball shook twice in her hand before it clicked, signaling it was caught.

"Awesome, you got a female Nidoran and will need this," Pearl said, pulling out a tone from her bag pocket.

"A moonstone," Elaine said.

"Yeah, I found more than one in Mt. Moon and only need one at the moment for Celefairy," Pearl said.

"Thanks. Well, we should get going," Elaine said, standing up.

"Right, bye, take care!" They said, waving bye to Melanie.

"After getting lost in the forest. The gang encounters a Nidoran and an angry Bulbasaur. As they continue to find their way back on course, they run into a female Bulbasaur who happily leads them to a cabin to help Charmander. So Charmander and Bulbasaur join Logan. As a female, Nidoran joins Elaine. Now they continue their way back on the route to Vermillion City. The narrator said.
