Sorry for the delay, I was just taking a break from writing.
Just a reminder, this is a Toothless and Aliikai pairing. I already have ideas for this chapter and I would appreciate it if there wasn't any rudeness in the comments. Otherwise, I will discontinue writing this story.

Moana and her friends stayed at the Enchanted Island, being accompanied by Adira, Yasmina, and Nasir. Moana sent a message to her father with Mistral, who flies back to Motunui to deliver it. They stayed there and watched Aliikai being trained by Blackwell. The big Night Fury teaches Aliikai the proper way of using her echolocation and her senses. Aliikai pays attention to Blackwell's lectures with determination and focus. She doesn't want to mess up in front of him. Moana was proud of her dragon sister being taught by a master. She knew that Aliikai would have great help thanks to Blackwell. Cayden was close by, watching his student being trained by Blackwell. Besides him were Solaria and Makaio. The Goldenheart dragoness was resting on Cayden' broad shoulder while Makaio was bored out of his mind. Shocker was out exploring with Gil and Coral to collect some herbs for medical purposes and potions while the rest of their riders went to the markets with Adira to buy some supplies. He couldn't come since he wanted to see Aliikai train with Blackwell. However, Blackwell was giving her lectures about wind currents and how to adjust the tail fins. He regretted that he didn't join with the others to do the groceries.
Soon, he falls asleep from boredom, snoring loudly while he sleeps at Cayden's back. The Vahlok and Goldenheart continued watching Aliikai being trained by Blackwell as they took off to the sky, so Aliikai can learn new aerial moves with her spines for maneuvering tight turns. So far, nothing bad has happened during their training. As far as Aliikai knows, she was having a grand time with Blackwell. Never in her life she enjoys the company of one of her kin. They trained until dusk fell, then went back to the others at the inn and enjoyed a hearty meal, filled with chats and laughter. Aliikai was with the dragons, chattering about with them, but mostly to Blackwell. She asked him if he has ever met other Night Furies before. The others were curious about it too, especially Moana. She hopes that Blackwell might know of Aliikai's pack. But sadly, Blackwell hasn't seen any Night Furies besides his parents, who disappeared when he was only a teen. This saddened the group, but it didn't stop them in finding the Night Furies. They stayed at the Enchanted Islands for a few days, watching Aliikai train with Blackwell while having a tour around the islands.
"Isn't this great?" Moana asked her friends, smiling at her dragon sister in the sky. She was training with Blackwell. "Aliikai finally met another Night Fury!"
"We know, Moana, you've been telling this for the past three days." Tara answered, relaxing under a tree with Mistral, Pōkole the Kakamora, and Pua.
Maona blushes in embarrassment. "S-sorry…I couldn't help it." She said with a smile. "I'm just so happy for my sister."
"It's okay, Moana, we are all happy for Aliikai." Keoni said to his fiancé with a smile. "After all, she longed to see her kin."
"And it's romantic!" Coral said with a squeal.
"Yeeeaaahhh…and they'll get married and start a family…blah-blah-blah…" Tara stated while making a mocking mouth with her hand.
"Oooo! Night Fury hatchlings!" Coral's eyes sparkled as she clapped her hands together. Imagining the baby Night Furies in her head. "They'll be soooo cute! Like their parents! Do you think they'll get a boy? Ohoho! Maybe a girl!"
"Easy, Coral!" Gil eased his best friend. "It's too soon for that!"
"I'm curious though." Keoni began as he looked at the dragon experts. "How many eggs can Night Fury have?"
"Same." Moana agrees with her fiancé.
Gil, Yasmina, and Nasir looked at each other, each having different conclusions and theories. "Well, there are some theories about the Night Furies eggs." Gil began. "They say that a Night Fury can lay a single egg."
"But other theories state that a Night Fury can also lay two or three eggs, depending on the night or if the Night Fury shows any problems in her pregnancy like stress or anxiety." Yasmina added to Gil's explanation.
"All in all, Night Furies are indeed the mysterious of all dragons for no one knows their biography." Nasir finished.
"…Wow, that's…deep." Tara said as they all looked at Aliikai and Blackwell from afar.
"Well, I'm just happy that Aliikai is not the last Night Fury." Moana said with relief.
Later that night, everyone was at the stables, they were feeding their dragons their dinner. Makaio was gobbling down a bucket full of delicious fish that Keoni set for him. The other dragons were also enjoying their meal while Aliikai was sharing her meal with Blackwell, which he didn't mind. Their riders decided to eat here with them since it was nice to enjoy their meal together. They would laugh at Maui when he and Makaio would brawl over the last mango.
"Knock-knock." Adira's voice came at the opening. "I hope I'm not disturbing you?"
"Of course not, Adira. What can we do for you?" Asked Yasmina.
Adira smiles as she holds up a pie. "I made Orchard Fruit Pie." She said with a smile.
"It smells delicious." Moana said to her kindly. "What's it made of?"
"Some apples, pears, and dried cranberries, a delectable dessert." Adira said as she held up the pie. "Try some." She set the pie on the table and cut some slices.
The others agreed and went to get some pie. Adira handed them each piece and handed them on the plate. The group enjoyed the pie, especially the dragons. Makaio and Maui would fight for another slice, much to everyone's amusement. Adira chuckles at this before she stops when she hears someone coming in. Adira turns to the entrance, and everyone follows her after they notice her looking at someone. Standing at the entrance was a half-man/half-horse. He has the body of a horse and the torso, and the upper part was a man with arms and head. He has long brown hair, a beard, and brown eyes. He wears chest armor and carries a bow and arrows.
"Woah…" Tara mutters in surprise.
"Good evening, Ezekiel." Adira greeted the stranger.
The one named Ezekiel nodded. "Evening, Ms. Adira. I see you all enjoying your stay." He said to the group.
"Y-yeah…thank you…Ezekiel." Moana said with hesitation as she and the other stared at him with uncertainness.
Ezekiel notices this and chuckled, "My apologies, my appearance must be frightening for you humans."
Moana's eyes widened in realization as she brought her hands up. "Oh! I am so, so sorry! It's just…I…I mean…well…"
"It is alright, Moana." Adera assured her with a smile as she gestured to Ezekiel. "Everyone, this Ezekiel, he is known as a centaur, a half-human and half-horse. He is a trainer for all the warriors and fighters on the Enchanted Islands."
"Woah, you're one heck of a trainer." Tara complimented him with a grin.
"Thank you for your compliment, but I must speak with Ms. Adira, it is a private matter." He said to them with a smile.
Adira nodded and turned to everyone. "I will be back shortly, enjoy the pie." She said as she went out with Ezekiel.
"Can do Adi-HEY!" Maui exclaimed suddenly when he saw Makaio taking the pie. The Demigod chased the Tide Glider around the stable, making everyone laugh, but Blackwell wasn't watching them. He was focused on Adira and Ezekiel, wondering what they were discussing. He sneaks off from the group and stealthily makes his way out of the stable, and spies on the two grownups. They were at the back of the stable's as they were discussing something that caught his interest.
"Are you sure?" Adira asked the centaur.
Ezekiel nodded. "Yes, a scout party returned the other day, they spotted a dragon hunter ship at the far side of the ocean near the islands."
Blackwell's eyes widened at the thought of the dragon hunters, it made his inside boil in rage, as he held his growl while continuing to listen to their conversation.
"This is bad, the migration of Mernos will be here in two days, if they take that route, they will be captured by those hunters." Adira said to Ezekiel.
"Indeed, I will inform the council, they must prepare a team to relocate the migration patterns of the Mernos." The Centaur said to Adira. "Should we inform your guests?"
"No, they shouldn't know this, I do not wish for them to carry this burden." Adira said to Ezekiel. "I will come with the team and help them relocate the Mernos. I will ask one of the Beast Tamers to take care of dragons and creatures."
"Understood, Ms. Adira." With that, Ezekiel gallops away, same time when Blackwell went back to the others, who were watching Makaio pinning Maui on to the ground.
After that fiasco, Adira came back and told everyone that they should head to bed since it was getting late. Moana wanted to stay with her dragon sister because she missed sleeping by her side. Adira didn't mind as she allowed her students to sleep with tehri creature partners. Aliikai didn't mind, she too misses sleeping next to her sister. As the rest of Moana's friends went to the inn, Moana and Aliikai slept in the pen. Aliikai covers Moana with her wing as the girl sleeps at her Night Fury's neck.
"I wish I can understand you, Ali." Moana said softly to her dragon. "To understand you like how Malie and the others do it. It would be amazing to understand you and other dragons. Makes me wonder what you sound like. I bet you have a beautiful voice." She giggled. Aliikai made a dragon chuckle, making sure that it was soft that no one would wake up. Moana yawns as she cuddles close to Aliikai.
Aliikai croons softly, wishing that her human sister could understand her as well. Moana closes her eyes and lets out another yawn. "When we finish all the dragons back to out region, we can find your family." Aliikai croons in agreement, knowing that her family is out there and would bring them to Motunui, where they could meet her people, her friends, and her parents. Well, he adoptive parents that is, but they were like her real parents to her. And no matter what, Moana is her sister, though heart, mind, and soul.
"Sisters forever and always together." Moana whispers to Aliikai, who agrees, as they both rest in their embrace and close their eyes together.
Unaware of magical sparkles surrounding Moana as she slept with Aliikai.
~On the next day~
Moana was sleeping soundly on her dragon sister's neck, dreaming of all the dragons returning back to their region. As she slumbers, there is a gentle huff from her face, causing Moana to stir in her sleep.
"Moana, Moana, wake up, it's morning." Spoke an angelic voice (Jackie Evancho) that Moana is not familiar with.
"Hmmm…" Was Moana's only response, eyes still closed as she continued to sleep. Then a gentle black snout came and nudged her, trying to wake her up. But it only made Moana move it away while continued sleeping. Suddenly, a tongue rolled down and licked Moana's face, waking her up while tickling her in the process.
"Wakey-Wakey, Moana!" Came the voice again.
"H-Hey! S-Stop-hehehe-it!" Moana said between giggles before opening her eyes to see Aliikai. Smiling at her, Moana hugs her dragon sister's head. "Good morning, Ali. Did anyone come in today?"
"No one came in, Moana. It's just me trying to wake you up." Came a response from Aliikai.
"That's niiiiiice-aaAAAHHHH!" Moana suddenly screamed, startling Aliikai and waking up the other dragons. "A-Ali? Did-Did you just s-speak?!"
Aliikai's eyes widened in shock. "Moana? Can you…can you understand me?" She asked in a hopeful voice.
"Y-Yes! Yes, I can!" Maona exclaimed in shock and amazement as she looked at her dragon sister with wide eyes before getting up on her feet. "This…This amazing!"
"What's amazing?" Adira asked, coming into the stables.
"Adira! You wouldn't believe this! I understand Aliikai!" Moana exclaimed in amazement.
Adira's eyes widened with surprise. "Really now?" She asked with a smile.
"Yes! Yes, she can!" Aliikai roared with pure joy.
"Amazing. How did this happen?"
Moana and Aliikai both stopped as they looked at each other, not quite sure how this really happened. "I…I never really thought of that." Moana confesses sheepishly.
"Me neither." Aliikai said in agreement.
"Well then, try to recall what you did last night." Adira suggested to Moana.
Moana thought for a moment. "Well…me and Aliikai were getting ready to sleep…then we stayed up a bit and then…"
"Then what?" Adira asked Moana.
"…And then…I wish that I could understand Aliikai and other dragons. That way, I can communicate with her, hear her voice, and learn more about her." Moana explained as Aliikai hugs her sister gently, which she returns.
Adira smiles at them, already knowing what this means. "I believe your wish was granted." She said to Moana.
Both sisters looked at her in confusion. "What do you mean by…'my wish was granted'?" Moana asked her.
"You see, Moana, here on the Enchanted Islands, magic flows like a river. The magic here has granted you the gift of animal and dragon speak, allowing you to understand them." Adira explained Moana and Aliikai.
"Really?" Moana asked Adira curiously.
Adira nodded her head. "Yes, but there is another way you got your newfound gift."
Moana looked at her curiously. "Really? What is it?"
"Your gift of speech was granted by a Jinn." Adira answered Moana, who's eyes widened in realization.
"Yasmina?" Moana whispers her name to her friend.
"Yes?" Yasmina spoke, coming in with her friends. Adira, Moana, and Yasmina turned to them as they entered the stables. Moana stared at Yasmina with wide eyes as the mysterious girl gave Moana a confused look. "Is there something wrong-"
Yasmina was suddenly cut off when Moana runs over to her and then hugs Yasmina tightly, surprising her in the process. She glanced over to Moana, the young Chieftest was smiling as she continued embracing Yasmina.
"Thank you…" Moana whispers to Yasmina.
Yasmina soon smiles and hugs her back. "I see you figure it out." She spoke as they both let go.
"Figure out what?" Keoni asked in confusion, wondering why his fiancé suddenly hugged Yasmina.
"That I granted her wish." Yasmina said to him, getting everyone's attention and shocking them in the process, except for Adira, Moana, and Nasir. "As you know, there are some Jinn that can grant wishes. And I can give three wishes to whom I can trust."
"Wait, you gave us three wishes?" Tara asked Yasmina in confusion. "Why three? Couldn't you just make it like anytime or something?"
Yasmina shook her head. "No, that isn't how it works. Due to the Jinns having such phenomenal cosmic powers, we have to restrain ourselves in order not to break the balance of the universe."
"…Come again?" Tara asked in confusion.
"You see, Tara, Jinns have limits with their magic as well as consequences." Adira explained to them. "For those who desire wishes from Jinn, their wishes are either good or evil, and in order to keep the balance. The Gods made sure that the Jinns have limits with their magic."
"Really? What are the rules that restrict Jinn from doing bad stuff?" Coral asked curiously.
"The first rule is that a Jinn cannot kill any living being." Yasmina explained the rules. "Even the evil Jinns are forbidden to kill, for it is not allowed in our magics."
"Yikes." Tara cringed at the thought.
"The second rule is that a Jinn cannot make people fall in love." Adira added in Yasmina's explanation.
"What, why?!" Maui exclaimed sadness and disappointment.
"Jinns cannot control love, it is a powerful force of nature." Yasmina explained the reason.
"Awww!" Maui slumps on the ground in disappointment while Tara stood beside him with arms crossed.
"Were you thinking of a wish to make Jade love you?" Tara asked with a teasing smirk.
Maui glared at her. "What?! NO…Maybe…yes." Maui brought his head down in shame while Mini Maui comforted him.
"And the third rule?" Gil asked curiously.
"The third rule is that Jinns are forbidden to bring the dead back to life." Nasir answered as he stood next to his sister's side. "The Jinn may have phenomenal cosmic powers, but not godly powers."
"Are they like the same thing?" Tara asked them.
"No, they can bend reality at their will, but they cannot disturb the balance between life and death. Otherwise, the dead would walk among the living as the undead monster that eats living flesh." Nasir said in a dark tone. Everyone, minus Yasmina, Cayden, Solaria, and Adira, stared at Nasir with wide and fearful eyes. Maui hides behind Keoni while Mini Maui hides behind a tattoo of a palm tree. Nasir looked at them and realized his words must've scared them too much. "…Too dark?"
"Yeahhhh…I don't think we should disturb the dead, ever." Tara said to him.
"So, wait, if Moana wished to speak with her dragon and other animals, wouldn't that leave her two wishes?" Coral asked, tapping her chin.
"Indeed, since Moana used one of her wishes, she has two wishes left." Yasmina explained. "So, you better use your wishes wisely."
"And let me guess: 'Be careful what you wish for'?" Tara stated.
Yasmina nodded her head. "Yes, wishes can have powerful consequences if not used properly. And depending on the mood of the Jinn, the wishes will become their granter's nightmare."
"Did it happen before?" Koeni asked, wondering what wishes can cause problems.
"Years ago, a human discovered a Jinn and wishes to be a wise man." Adira explained to them. "But he was not careful about what he wished for."
"Then what happened?" Moana asked her.
"When he got his wish, he became an old man in his sixties." Adira explained to them.
"Woah…that's heavy." Tara said, realizing that not all wishes are full of sunshine and rainbows. "Did anyone get their wishes jinxed?"
"Yes, another human, scrawny fellow, met a Jinn. He wishes to be very strong, but on the next day, he turned into a beast and was chased away from his own village, mistaking him for a monster." Adira told them. "Consider yourself lucky, Moana, your wish was pure and innocent as you wish to communicate with your dragon sister."
"Lucky me…" Moana said in relief as she leaned over her sister. "I guess I should stop wishing for now, I don't want to make a mistake on wishes."
"Good call." Tara said before playfully punching Moana's arm gently. "Since you can talk to dragons…try and communicate with the others!"
"Really?!" Moana said in excitement before turning to her friends' dragons. "Can you guys say anything to me? Anything at all?" She asked the dragons with eyes sparkling of excitement and wonder.
"Okay, what do you want us to say?" Makaio asked (Taylor Gray) curiously. "Or should I ask a question?"
"Woah! Y-You sound amazing!" Moana exclaimed to Makaio before turning to Shocker. "What about you Shocker?"
"…" Shocker simply stared at her, blinking a few times, as Moana gave him a big smile. "…Hi?" He could only speak out. (Logan Lerman)
"Amazing!" Moana exclaimed in pure joy before looking at Cayden. "Cayden! What about-Oomph!" Moana's mouth was covered by one of Cayden's big yet gentle claws.
"Calm yourself and don't over stress with your words." Cayden said (Vin Diesel) to her firmly yet gentle at the same time before letting go.
"He's right." Solaria said (Connie Nielsen) with a smile.
"Wow! You guys sound amazing! It's like a dream come true!" Moana said in amazement and joy.
"I know right?! Talking to dragons can be so enjoyable!" Coral said happily as she hugged Moana. "Now you can get to know what Aliikai wanted to say to you all these years!"
Moana's eyes widened in realization. "Hey, yeah! I always wanted to know what Aliikai wanted to say to me!"
"And I've wanted to tell you so many things since I was little!" Aliikai said to her sister in joy.
"Even the conversation that our parents and Keoni's parents had?" Moana asked hopefully.
"No!" Aliikai said joyfully, still smiling at her sister.
"Ali!" Moana exclaimed in annoyance, mad that Aliikai wouldn't tell what their parents were talking about with Koeni's parents.
Everyone laughed at the two sisters bickering. Cayden snorted, but smiled, knowing that his pupil was happy to finally talk to her sister. Moana and Aliikai give each other friendly glares while the female Night Fury sticks her tongue at her playfully, enjoying the moment with her sister. It was very childish of Moana and Aliikai to act like this, but hey, what can you do? They are sisters after all. Then Cayden steps forward, and Aliikai stops playing around with Moana as he stands beside her.
"You know." He begins (Tom Hiddleston) as he looks at Aliikai, making her heart flutter when he looks at him. "Since you did well in your training, how about you spend time with your sister, it will be a new and wonderful experience for the both of you."
"Are you sure?" Aliikai asked worriedly. "I don't want to skip any training."
"It is all right, you did well on your basics, it's best for you to take a break and spend time with your sister." Blackwell assured her.
"That will be great! Why do you say Aliikai?" Moana looked at her sister with a wide smile.
Aliikai wanted to protest. She really wanted to spend time with Moana, but part of her wanted to spend time with Blackwell since he's the only Night Fury he ever met! And yet, she dreamt of talking with her sister for years. She has so many things to say. A whirlwind of emotions and thoughts are in her mind, but she knows that Blackwell needs some time to himself, so with a lot of thinking, and some remorse, she has to agree and take a break, but she will enjoy it with her sister.
"All right, thank you, Blackwell." Aliikai said with a smile.
Blackwell nodded, watching as Moana hugged her dragon sister before the two started chatting while going out with their friends, who have plans to explore the Enchanted Islands. Blackwell came last as he stood on top of flat rock, watching as Moana and Aliikai were chattering about, laughing, and playfully teasing each other. As Blackwell watched them chatter, a smile spread onto his face to see Aliikai in such bliss, he snapped out of his thoughts when he noticed Cayden came over to him, standing by his side as he watched Aliikai chatter with Moana.
"You seem happy for her." Cayden said to him, not taking his eyes off his pupil.
Blackwell nodded, watching Aliikai laughing with Moana. "Yes…she deserves happiness." Crooning softly as he watched Aliikai with Moana for a while before he stood up. "I'll be taking my leave."
Cayden's eyes narrowed at this, wondering what he's up to. "Where are you going?"
"To explore."
"On your own?" Cayden raises a brow at this.
"Night Furies can solitary dragons, we prefer being ourselves, thank you." Blackwell explained before taking off to the sky, hovering in front of Cayden. "I will return soon, just keep Aliikai company while I'm gone."
And with that, Blackwell took off to the sky, leaving Cayden to watch him leave with narrowed eyes. He was getting suspicious about the Night Fury. Then Solaria came over to Cayden, wanting to tease him of his pupil being chattery, but soon stops when she notices him being serious. Concern, Solaria came over to Cayden and sat by his side. "Is there something wrong, Cayden?" She asked him gently.
Cayden nodded his head a bit. "Yes…I have a feeling that Blackwell is hiding something from us." He spoke to her softly.
Worried and concerned, Solaria knew that Cayden could feel something wrong, considering that Vahloks are known to tell who is lying or keeping secrets. And she knew very well that he was right. "What do you think he is hiding?"
"I do not know, but I have a feeling we will learn soon enough."
When the two powerful dragons thought, Moana and Aliikai were having a blast communicating with each other. They would talk about how when they were little that they would try and sneak off to the ocean without their father's notice as well as their time with their Gramma. The two sisters spend the whole day talking and laughing, remembering the good times they had when they were little. It was a great day for them. They would take a break by drinking some water and eating, and then continue their long chat.
"Oh, Ali, remember the time when I tried to climb the hut?" Moana said to her sister as they sat on the ground, watching the sunset at the beach.
Aliikai laughed. "How can't I? I was lucky to save you before you could hit the ground!"
"Yeah, and Dad went on a fit after he found out and got us both grounded." Moana said.
The two burst into fits of laughter, enjoying the memories they shared when they grew up. "Hahaha…oh, how I miss those days, Moana, when we were young, wild and-"
"-Free/Free." Both of them said in unison, laughing in pure joy.
"I'll never get tired of this." Moana said to her sister happily.
Aliikai looks at her sister. "Really?"
"Really! I have no regrets on my wish, that I'm happy to finally talk to you. You know how long I dreamt of having a conversation with you?"
"Um…"
"Years! Years I wondered what my sister was saying. I don't have to bother Malie, Gil, or Coral to translate for me, I can…I can finally understand you, to know if you're happy with me and our people." Moana said, slowly trailing off.
Aliikai was surprised and yet touched by her sister's words. "Moana…"
"I know one day you will leave the island to pursue your own path, but I just want you to support your decision no matter what." Moana said with a smile on her face.
Aliikai smiles back at her before embracing Moana with her wings, which Moana returns. They may be different, but no matter, they are still sisters. "Thank you, Moana." Aliikai whispers to her sister.
"Sisters forever…" Moana began.
"And always together." Aliikai finished the sentence, smiling at the memories they shared. As they let go, they both looked at the sunset with a smile, enjoying the scenery together.
"I wonder what's Blackwell up to?" Aliikai wondered, thinking of her Night Fury crush.
Moana smiles teasingly at her. "Maybe he went out to find you a gift." She joked.
Aliikai laughed as she gently pawed at her sister. "Oh stop, he wouldn't…but do you think he might?" She suddenly asked hopefully.
Moana laughed at this, knowing her sister's monster crush on Blackwell was so great, that she's terrible at hiding it. Like when Moana had a huge crush on her childhood friend, Keoni, and tries her best to not show it, until it was time and now both of them are engaged.
"We'll find out soon, Ali. But I think we should get back before-" Moana was suddenly cut off when they heard splashing. Turning towards the water, they saw the Ocean forming and getting their attention. "Ocean?" Moana whispers in concern as she and Aliikai get up and go over to the frantic Ocean. "What's wrong? Is there a dragon in trouble?"
The Ocean bobs its form up and down, saying that there is a dragon in trouble. Moana was concerned about what dragon was hurt, but Aliikai already knew who it was. "Blackwell…" She whispers his name in fear and worry.
The Ocean nodded, saying that Blackwell is in serious trouble. "We have to tell the others, fast!" Moana said as she got on Aliikai.
"Hold on!" Aliikai roared as she took off to the sky like a rocket.
They quickly find the others at the field with their dragons, Adira and Ezekiel are with them as well, and they look like they are leaving. Aliikai roared at their direction, getting their attention, as they watched as Aliikai landed on the ground hastily.
"Guys! There's trouble!" Moana said to them.
"Moana? What is it?" Keoni asked her concern.
"It's Blackwell! Ocean believes in trouble!" Moana said in concern while Aliikai was worried about her Night Fury companion.
"What? But we just saw him this morning!" Tara exclaimed.
Cayden made a small growl, catching everyone's attention. "What do you mean he was hiding something?" Malie asked her dragon, who growled an explanation. "Cayden said that Blackwell left as soon as Moana and Aliikai went to have a day off."
"Why would he take off like that?" Tara asked, feeling dread coming from her stomach.
"He doesn't know." Malie said to them with worry. "He just took off."
Adira and Ezekiel began to worry as they looked at each other. "You don't think…" Adira's words trailed off as a thought came to her mind.
Ezekiel shook his head and said to Adira. "Couldn't be. We would've spotted him by now through our conversation." He said to Adira.
"What? What's going on?" Moana asked in concern.
"Forgive us for not telling you this, Moana, we didn't want you all to worry. But last night, our scouting parties had just discovered a Dragon Hunter ship, they were close to our borders." Ezekiel explained to them.
"Oh, no." Malie spoke in worry.
"Don't worry, your highness, those hunters cannot enter the barrier." Ezekiel assured her. "But we believe that Blackwell heard us, and we didn't notice him."
"What does Blackwell want with those hunters?" Gil asked in concern.
"For what we could tell, we believe that he wants revenge against those hunters." Adira said to the teens.
"Revenge?" Moana whispers in worry.
"It is possible, after all, they were the ones that captured him." Nasir explained the theory. "Maybe he has unfinished business with them."
"No joke, I had a few run-ins with them." Tara said before releasing an angry growl at the thought of the dragon hunters.
"We have to stop him before he gets hurt." Moana said to them.
"It is too dangerous." Ezekiel said to Moana.
"Ezekiel, Blackwell is our friend, he's the first Night Fury Aliikai has ever met. And there is no way we're abandoning him, so he could die!" Moana said to them.
Everyone was touched and shocked by her speech, especially her sister. They knew very well that Moana would do anything to make Aliikai happy. For her happiness is the most important thing. Adira sighs, knowing full well that Moana might do something reckless, and she also must save the Mernos from their migration.
"All right, I will help you go after Blackwell." Adira said, shocking everyone.
"You are?" Keoni asked in surprise.
"You will?" Nasir came next.
"Say what now?" Was all Tara said.
"I know every part of the islands' territories and borders, and it best you need to know what you are dealing with." Adira said to them seriously before letting out a sharp whistle. The teens were confused until they heard a loud shriek. Looking up, they saw a magical beast that had the front legs, wings, and head of a giant eagle and the body, hind legs, and tail of a horse.
"Oh, scales! It's a Hippogriff!" Gil exclaimed in shock.
"A hypocrite?" Maui asked in confusion of the name.
"Hippogriff, it's a magical creature that is so fast that it can outfly any birds and dragons, heck. There were even stories that a Hippogriff can outfly a Night Fury!" He corrected the name as well as explaining the Hippogriff. Aliikai would've been offended by this, but she decided to let it slide considering that they needed to rescue Blackwell.
"Yes, this is Marrow, he is the fastest Hippogriff among his peers. But we must hurry, who knows what will happen to Blackwell if we don't make it." Adira said, getting on Marrow.
They agreed and the teens got on their dragons while Maui and Tara transformed, Moana turned towards Mistral. "Mistal, I have a job for you." Moana said to the small dragon, who blinked at her.
Blackwell was flying through the sky, heading towards a curtain. He was going towards the area where those dragon hunters are. The thought of those hunters made his blood boil, knowing fully well what they are capable of. He was going after them without his friends knowing. Blackwell didn't mean to leave his friends, but he has to do this, he has a reason to find those hunters. Blackwell continues flying, being farther away from the Enchanted Islands' barrier, and reaching some sea stacks. He hides behind one and peeks through it, narrowing his eyes to see five ships near a small island. Unlike the ships owned by Berk, these ships were massive. They were brigantines with 3 large sails that had symbols of dragons being slain or a bloody fist. Blackwell knows very well that these ships are well equipped with Dragon-proof chains, catapults, Dragon Root Arrow ballistas, and many other powerful weapons. He had trouble escaping from them before, but he was coming back for a reason.
Silently taking off, Blackwell stealthily made his way to the island, unnoticed by the lookouts, blending through the shadows of the trees. He moves through the undergrowth without making a sound, sniffing through the air as he searches for something. Blackwell caught the scent before moving through the forest at blinding speed, without being spotted by anyone. Blackwell soon made his way to a cliffside and climbed on it. He hides on top of a tree and glares down to the area. Below him were dragons trapped in cages. Different types of dragons were inside, roaring and struggling to escape.
"Keep them restrained!" Yelled a curtain Dragon Hunter that Blackwell despised.
This Dragon Hunter was different from the rest, he was more skilled and deadly. Unlike the Dragon Hunters that wear those helmets, he doesn't wear a helmet as revealed by his face that has a small, light scar on the left side of his face with some facial hairs. His attire was considered a silvery leather tunic, one spiky shoulder guard and arm guard on one arm, and one regular arm guard on the other, a studded belt with a giant skull buckle and yellow dragon skin around the waist, indigo pants, and brown leather boots with orange spotted tips. And has two dragon-proof swords strapped behind his back. Blackwell knows who he is, he leads these Dragon Hunters like a pack leader.
"Ryker, the dragons are almost ready for the auction tomorrow." Said a Dragon Hunter coming over to the one known as Ryker.
Ryker didn't turn to him as he glared at the dragons inside their cages. "Make sure that they are heavily restrained and muzzled, we can't let one escape again." He said seriously as he glared at one particular cage. "Keep an eye on this one, she's a feisty one." The Dragon Hunter looks at the cage and backs away a bit. "Keep your tunic on, she has no lightning stored in 'er."
"But…but wasn't she with that Night Fury?" The Dragon Hunter asked Ryker, a bit nervous about the dragon in that cage.
"Aye, she is. Speaking of which, did the scouting party find any trace of 'im?" Ryker asked, referring to the Night Fury that escaped.
"They haven't found him yet, Ryker. They lost any leads from him after he fell overboard." The Dragon Hunter said to him. "But they have doubts that he drowned since he was retrained.
"He survives, I could feel it." Ryker said in a serious tone.
"You think he'll come back?" The Dragon Hunter asks.
"I don't think I know he will. After all, he would never leave his buddy alone." Ryker stated as he glared at the dragon in the cage as it revealed to be a female Skrill, glaring at Ryker hatefully. "He'll come for her. And as the saying goes: All is fair in love and war."
With that, Ryker leaves with the Dragon Hunter, shouting about orders to get the dragons loaded up. The female Skrill glares at Ryker, wanting revenge and sinking her teeth in his flesh for keeping her a prisoner. Unaware that she was being watched by Blackwell from the shadows of the undergrowth. He has plans on getting her out of there, but he has to do it in the shadows of the night.
When nightfall came, there were Dragon Hunters on guard, scouting about the island, finding any signs of intruders or dragons that they could capture. They were completely unaware of how Blackwell easily sneaked past them, heading towards ships. Turns out, the dragons that were imprisoned were being transferred and will be shipped off to the island where the auction is. Blackwell blends with the darkness as he sneaks towards Skrill's cage. The female Skrill was curled like a ball, trying to find a comfortable position in her cramp cage. She has trouble sleeping as well as the other dragons. Then her thoughts came to a halt when she heard someone in front of her. Snapping her eyes open, she glared at the intruder, but she soon stopped when she spotted it was Blackwell. The Skrill's violet eyes widen at the sight of him, delighted and relieved that he's alright. Blackwell assures her and tells her to be quiet as he was going to get her out, but he has to figure out how to unlock the cage without getting notice.
"Well, well, well, look who returned." Came Ryker's voice.
A growl escaped from Blackwell's throat, his pupils turning into slits. Turning his head slightly, he glares over to Ryker and his men. The Dragon Hunters have dragon root arrows pointed at him. Blackwell growls at them hatefully while the female Skrill gives a worried look towards Blackwell, fearing for his life. Ryker glares down at Blackwell, who glares back with a ferocious growl.
"You've been a big problem for us, dragon." Ryker said venomously. "I knew you couldn't resist coming back for 'er." He points his sword towards the Skrill, who growls at him. "It makes it easier for us to capture you." Ryker raises his hand, and the Dragon Hunters were ready to fire, causing Blackwell to change his plasma blast-
SKREEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOONNGK!
A powerful roar was heard as it shook the earth itself. Everyone, both hunters and dragons, was shocked to hear that loud roar. Suddenly, a large fireball came out of nowhere and exploded in front of the hunters, sending them flying. Ryker was able to dodge it and landed a few feet away from Blackwell. He readied his sword until eight figures came out of the sky, revealing dragons of different kinds, a giant Hawk, and a stage creature. But the most shocking part is that they have humans on their backs, their faces covered by cloth or masks, as one rides a Night Fury and the other rides the most dangerous dragons that they thought was a myth, a Sky Destroyer. Blackwell's eyes widen when he realizes that his friends came to rescue him. Meanwhile, the Dragon Hunters backed away, their weapons shakingly raised at the dragons, but had a hard time focusing when Cayden was glaring at them.
"Don't just stand there, fire!" Ryker ordered his men angrily.
The Dragon Hunters quickly snapped out of it before firing at the dragons and the creature. But they didn't notice Solaria's eyes flashed, causing a powerful firewall to appear, incinerating the dragon root arrows into ashes. The firewall disappeared and the dragon hunters were stunned by this but were soon cut off when the unknown dragon, aka Tara's Lycanwing form, released a jet of fire, forcing the Dragon Hunters to back away. Soon, they all took off, fighting off the Dragon Hunters, while Moana-wearing a tiki mask-gets off Aliikai and they both run over to Blackwell.
"Blackwell, are you okay?" Moana asked, lifting up the mask over her head.
"Moana, Aliikai, how did you know I was here?" Blackwell asked in shock.
"Ocean warned us about you being endangered." Moana answered him. "Why did you go by yourself?"
"My apologies, but I have to go back to save someone that I care about." Blackwell said, gesturing to the cage that has the female Skrill inside.
Moana quickly went to the cage and tried to open it, but it was locked and it was hard to open. "It won't budge! Can we fire at it?"
"It's dragon proof, no fire attacks can damage it." Blackwell explains the hunter's traps.
"Oh, I wish there was another way…" Aliikai said in worry.
Suddenly, Moana's eyes widened. "Wish…that's it!" Moana exclaimed and realized what to do. But before she does, a Dragon Hunter was able to make it out from the fire as he was about to tackle Moana until Keoni-wearing a Tiki mask as well- came to the rescue as he jumped off Makaio and kicked the Dragon Hunter on the face, knocking him down unconscious.
"Moana, we have to go!" Koeni said to his fiancé.
"We can't! These dragons are trapped in fireproof cages, we need to free them by making a wish!" Moana explains to him.
Koeni looked at the Skrill trapped inside the cage, giving him a somewhat scared and worried look on her face. Keoni knew that he cannot let these dragons suffer, for he cares for dragons like his ancestors. "All right, we'll free them." He said before looking up to the night sky and saw Solaria galloping through the sky with Nasir and Yasmina on her back. Then he let out a wish. "I wish all of the captured dragons that hunters caught would be set free!"
Hearing his wish, Yasmina brought her hands to her chest in an X formation and closed her eyes. "Your wish is granted." She spoke in a magical voice.
And with that wish, all the locks in every dragon cage were unlocked with a snap, allowing the dragons to break free and let loose their fires at their captors. Moana helped open Skrill's cage, allowing the female Skrill to leave her cage and went over to Blackwell. And to the sisters' shock and Aliikai's horror, she nuzzled Blackwell, who returned her affection.
"You came back for me." The female Skrill purrs, nuzzling her head at Blackwell's neck.
Blackwell nuzzles her back. "Of course, I did, my love."
Aliikai feels her heart shattered as she realizes that this dragon, aka a Skrill, must be Blackwell's mate. Her hopes and dreams of being with him went down the drain. She thought he was the one, but she didn't know that he was already taken. Before could deal with her heartbreak, Ryker somehow got through the fire and let out a battle cry as he readied his blades. Keoni took out his spear and blocked Ryker's attack. Luckily, the Ryker's swords didn't break the spear considering it was given to him by Adira. The spear was enchanted and cannot be broken by a mortal blade. Keoni kicks the Ryker away from them and they battle. Each strike that Ryker made was easily blocked by Keoni.
"We have to go." Moana said to Blackwell.
"She can't, she's out of energy." Blackwell said, holding his beloved mate with his wings, much to Aliikai's sadness. "She needs lightning to restore herself."
"How can we get lightning? There's no storm! Unless…" Moana trailed off as she saw Shocker at the corner of her eyes. He was releasing a powerful blast of Bioelectricity, electrocuting the hunters in the process. "Gil! Coral!"
Both Sea People looked at Moana from below and saw that she was near a Skrill. Gil and Coral recognize that dragon, it was a Skrill since they absorb lightning, Shocker can help restore the Skrill's energy.
"Shocker! Get ready to dive!" Gil orders as the Shockjaw releases a roar. Coral laughs in pure joy as Shocker dives down towards the Skrill. Ryker was too busy fighting Keoni that he was too late to spot Shocker releasing a Bioelectricity blast at the Skrill, allowing the dragoness to absorb the electricity.
"NO!" Ryker yelled in anger as he pushed Keoni away and was about to charge at them.
But the Skrill was able to gain enough electricity in her body. Smirking, she looks at Blackwell. "Like old times?"
"The good times." He said as he charged his plasma blast.
Soon, the female Skrill releases a powerful stream of lightning followed by Blackwell's plasma blast. As they were combined, a massive energetic explosion formed, sending Ryker flying, yelling in the process as he crashed into some barrels. The dragons that were captured fought off the dragon hunters, still have energy to get them back for trapping them all these years, while Moana gets on her dragon.
"We have to take all these dragons back to our region." Moana said to Keoni. "There are some dragons that have difficulty flying or can't fly. We have to support them through the flight."
"How can we do that?" Blackwell questions her while firing at incoming hunters. "There's too many of them to carry."
Moana smiles at him. "That's why we call for backup." She said to Blackwell.
The Night Fury was confused until she heard Mistral's adorable roar. Turning around to the ocean, she saw the small dragon flying towards the battlefield. Blackwell and the female Skrill were confused until they saw the water start to ripple and saw a massive dragon slowly emerging from the water that shocked all the hunters and the captive dragons.
It was a Purple Death!
"Is that a…" Blackwell trailed off when he saw the ginormous Alpha Class Dragon, standing over them.
Moana grins at the Purple Death. "Yup! Blackwell, say hello to Big Daddy!" She announced and the Purple Death known as Bigby let out a powerful roar. "But you have to call him Bigby." She added before smiling at Bigby. "Show them who's boss, Big Daddy!"
Bigby heard Moana's call and indeed he did. He showed these weak hunters whose boss as he let lose a massive jet of highly explosive fire. The Hunters panicked as they quickly tried to avoid the destruction. The dragons took this opportunity to be airborne and flew away.
"We have to take them to safety!" Moana said to Keoni.
"Leave it to us!" Malie called out through the sky, wearing a shawl that hides her face, as she rides on Cayden. "Cayden, lead them to the Enchanted Islands."
Cayden nodded and released another powerful roar, getting the dragons' attention. He tells them to follow him as he will take them to safety. They obeyed him with no complaints considering that Vahloks are guardian dragons. Aliikai, Blackwell, the Skrill, and Makaio took off to the air with Moana and Keoni. Moana leads Aliikai in front of Bigby's face, who just finished releasing a massive fire.
"Big Daddy! Can you let some dragons that can't fly ride on you?" Moana asked the big dragon.
Bigby looked at the dragons that couldn't fly or had trouble flying. Knowing that they will have difficulty escaping, Bigby agrees to help his human save these dragons. Lowering his massive body, Bigby growls towards Moana, saying that he's ready to help. Moana smiles gratefully before patting her sister's side.
"Okay, Ali, call out to them!" Moana said to Aliikai.
"Right!" Aliikai roared as she faced the dragons from below. "Everyone! Get on Big Daddy! The Purple Death"
"Are you insane!?" Roared a Monstrous Nightmare.
"It's either him or stay here!" Aliikai roared at them, giving them no other choice.
Hearing this, the dragons decided to obey and quickly followed Aliikai's words, all the dragons escaped from the hunters, Makaio, Shocker, Hawk Maui, and Solaria gave them cover along with some dragons who decided to stay behind and help them out. Blackwell and the female Skrill used their combined power to push the hunters away, allowing the dragons to get on Bigby's back. The Purple Death was patient as all dragons quickly got on his back. Some struggled but Moana and Aliikai came down and helped. Ryker dodged an incoming fire blast from a Gronckle before he spotted Moana and Aliikai helping dragons escape by riding the Purple Death's back. Seeing this, he quickly took out a bow and readied a dragon root arrow. He aims the arrow towards Moana, eyes burning with hate.
"Say goodbye, girly." He mutters darkly before firing the arrow.
As the arrow zips through the air, towards Moana, but before it could strike a blade cuts it in half, preventing it from reaching its target. Ryker was shocked to see this happen and saw who stopped the arrow. It was a woman whose face was covered by a shawl, only her amber eyes can be seen. Ryker glares at the woman, who happens to be Adira, as she glares back at him. She did a fighting stance with her scimitar sword raised. Ryker saw this and soon readied his sword. The two adults glared at each other before they both charged. Adira was much faster than Ryker as she was already in front of him. Ryker was quick enough to block her. The two adults fought with their blades. Adira was more skilled as she easily danced around an angry Ryker, who tried everything to stab her. He failed to realize that Aidra was more skilled in combat than anyone. Because of their fight, Ryker failed to realize that Adira was distracting him, giving Moana and Aliikai enough time to help the dragons get on Bigby.
"That's all of them!" Moana said loudly to her friends as Aliikai helps an old purple Nadder to get on. "Go, Big Daddy! Go!"
Bigby releases a roar as he starts to swim away from the island. Adira and Ryker locked blades, giving each other death glares. However, Ryker glanced over Adira's shoulder and saw Bigby swimming away with the last remaining dragons.
"No!" He pushes Adira onto the ground and is about to chase after them, but Adira swiftly knocks him off his feet. "AH!"
"Don't even think about it." Adira said in a dangerous tone.
Adira quickly jumps on his back, causing him to release a yell of pain, and then jumps off as Marrow grabs his rider's arm. Flying her to safety as they freed all the dragons from their prisons. The Dragon Hunters would've chased after them but soon stopped when both Solaria and Cayden combined their fire powers to destroy their ships, leaving them stranded on the island. All the dragons were roaring in pure joy at the taste of freedom. The teens were cheering at their success with Hawk Maui.
"All right! We kick those hunters' sorry butts!" Tara cheered through their minds.
"That's right! No ones gonna mess with the dragons and get away with it!" Hawk Maui whooped as he and Tara did a high wing.
"Yay!" Coral cheered, hugging Gil from behind as they rode Shocker. "We did it! We did it! We did it!"
Yasmina chuckled at her. "Yes, we did, Coral, yes we did." She said as she and her brother rode on Solaria.
"Come on, let's take the dragons to the Enchanted Islands, so Adira can check on them." Moana said as she was on Aliikai's back.
Adira nodded. "Well said Moana, I will make sure that they are fully rested for their trip back to your region." She said before making Marrow take the lead.
"Follow Adira, Big Daddy, she knows the way." Moana said to Bigby, who grunted in understanding. Aliikai took off to the sky with others. As she flew alongside with the dragons, she sadly watched Blackwell and the female Skrill were flying together, winged tips touched affectionately. As they leave, they weren't aware that Ryker just got up from the ground and glared at the burning ships. They just lost a big shipment of dragons because of those riders. They're going to pay with their lives when he finds them.
"Ryker, sir. We have a problem." A Dragon Hunter came to him.
"What is it now?" Ryker asked in anger and annoyance.
The Dragon Hunter backs up a bit, scared of what Ryker might do to him. "All the dragons that we stored at the other side of the island have all escaped, not a single one was found."
Ryker growled in annoyance. Those riders that showed up from the blue will regret ever intervening with their plans. "Send a message to Viggo, we have a problem in our hands." He said as he glared at the horizon where Moana and her friends were as he plots on getting his revenge on them.
Mernos are creatures from Monster Hunters the game.
