Returning back to the Enchanted Islands was an easy feat. The group brought the injured dragons to the stables, whereupon Adira started patching them up with Yasmina and Gil's help. There were many dragons that needed to be treated with their wounds. Luckily, Adira called many healers to come and help them heal the dragons. The dragons were grateful for their kindness. Moana and her friends did their best to ease the dragons from their pain, since they've been through tough times.

"Okay, now tie this bandage around the wing, carefully now. He's still in pain." Gil instructed Malie.

Malie nodded. "Understood." She carefully wraps the bandage around a Changewing's wing.

Moana and Keoni were carrying buckets of water to treat the dragons' wounds. "Here's the water you need." Moana said to Gil.

"Thanks, put them over there." Gil gestured to the corner.

Moana and Keoni carried the buckets and placed them down. "So, how long will they recover to make the trip?" Moana asked.

"Judging the good progress, I say about a week." Gil stated as he helped bandage another dragon.

"That's good, they need to be at their full strength when we take them back." Moana said with a smile in relief before realizing something. "By the way, have you seen Aliikai? I haven't seen her since this morning."

"Now that you mentioned it, I haven't seen her either." Gil said as he moved on to the next dragon. "Is she alright though? I mean, when we got back, she looked distraught."

Keoni makes a worried look as he turns to Moana. "Is she still…"

Moana nodded her head sadly. Aliikai's heart was still broken when she discovered the painful truth that Blackwell already had a mate until it was too late. So, yeah, she isn't in a good mood because the only Night Fury that she had a crush on has already a mate. "She's…coping with a problem right now." Moana said softly.

Realizing what she means, Gil lowers his head. "Oh…sorry, I didn't mean to…"

"It's okay, Gil, Ali's trying to think it through, that's all." Moana assured with a sad smile. "But I'm worried…I haven't seen her since this morning."

"Did you try to look for her?" Keoni asked her.

"I asked Maui and Tara to do a search." Moana said before she heard wings beating coming their way. "Speaking of which…"

She and the others saw Maui's Giant Hawk form and Tara's Lycanwing form come flying down and land before reverting back to their human forms. "We found Aliikai at some cliffs near the shorelines at the east side of the island. And she seems very…"

"Heartbroken." Tara added to Maui's sentence. "She doesn't care what's happening around her, she simply ignores it. And it's starting to get me worried."

"Same here, Tara, same here." Moana said in a worried tone. "I need to go talk to her and help her out the best way I can."

"Do you need a ride?" Koeni offered. "It would be a lot faster by flying there on Makaio."

Moana smiles in appreciation. "Thanks, Keoni."

After bidding their friends a good day, Moana and Keonia get on Makaio as the Tide Glider takes off to the sky and flies towards Aliikai's location. Moana holds on to Keoni's waist tightly, worried about her sister and how she is holding up. Noticing her distress look, Keoni decided to assure his fiancé.

"Hey, I'm sure Aliikai will be fine when you're with her." He said in assurance.

Moana looked at Keoni with a grateful smile and hugged his back. "Thanks, Koeni. I just hope I can help understand her pain." She said softly before looking at him. "And Keoni?"

"Yeah?"

"Thanks for giving up one of your wishes to save the dragons." Moana said gratefully. "I really appreciate it."

"Hey, dragons deserve freedom, and they shouldn't be tortured like that." Keoni said to her with a small smile.

It took a while before they reached the cliffs where Aliikai was resting on. Makaio landed far from Aliikai, allowing Moana to dismount from Makaio's back. "Thanks, guys. I'll take it from here. Go back on helping Gil and the others."

Both Keoni and Makaio nodded before the Tide Glider took off back to the stable. Leaving Moana to confront her sister. She saw Aliikai near the edge of the cliff, lying her head between her paws while looking through the ocean's horizon. She has a very sad and heartbroken expression on her face. The heartbroken Night Fury was so upset that she didn't notice her sister coming over to her.

"Ali?" Moana spoke to her sister softly, coming over to her and sitting next to her head. "Are you okay?"

"What do you think?" Aliikai grunts out in a sad yet angry tone, making Moana worried at her sister's sudden change, but soon; the Night Fury releases a sigh. "Sorry, it's just…"

Moana placed a gentle hand on Aliikai's head, patting her gently. "It's okay, Ali, you're having a hard time."

"But it's not, I shouldn't be acting like this…I shouldn't…I shouldn't make a big deal out of this but…but…" Aliikai releases a sigh of frustration as she lies her head on Moana's lap, rumbling softly when Moana gently strokes her head. "…I thought he was the one for me."

Moana felt pity towards her dragon sister. All her life, Aliikai was known to be the only Night Fury in Motunui. She spends her whole life with the villagers, who welcomed her with open arms, and treated her as if she were her own. But she sometimes felt like she was alone, feeling like she was the last of her kind. Even if there were dragons out there, she wanted to see her own kind, her own species. And when Blackwell came to the picture, she thought he was the one for her. That he and her could be together. But boy was she wrong. As it turns out, Blackwell already has a mate, a Skrill to be exact. It shattered Aliikai's dreams into starting a relationship with him, she thought that he was the one for her, that they could save their species together, but no. It's like fate was playing a cruel joke to her.

"I thought he was the one for you too, Ali." Moana said softly, hugging her dragon's head. "I even thought that he could take care of you while I'm doing chiefly duties."

Aliikai sighed softly and accepted her hug. "I should've known that he has someone else to love, I was so eager and determined that he could be with me, but I was too blind to know first, and I rushed it." Aliikai looked away as her eyes were down. "I'm such an idiot."

"Hey! You're not an idiot!" Moana said to her sister sternly yet gently as she held Aliikai's head. "You're an amazing, fast, smart, and talented Night Fury."

"Moana…stop." Aiikai said.

"No, Aliikai, I mean it. I know you're in pain, but it's not your fault. Heck, we didn't know that Blackwell had a mate because we didn't ask…if it's any one's fault, it's mine. I should've found out sooner, instead of rushing you in and getting heartbroken." Moana confessed to her sister. Aliikai stared at her sister, eyes filled with sorrow and regret but with a hint of understanding. "I promised myself to make you happy, to protect you…but I failed."

"Moana…" Aliikai starts softly as she nuzzles her sister gently. "You didn't fail me; you were only trying to make me happy. I don't blame you for anything. I rushed my chance, thinking I could find love so easily, but I guess not. However, it doesn't change anything, Moana. After all, sisters together?"

Moana smiles at her and hugs Aliikai gently. "And always together."

The two sisters shared the embrace, sharing comforting smiles to one another, but Aliikai soon frowned slightly, feeling sadness through her chest. "When will it go away?" She asked softly.

Moana looks at her in confusion. "What?"

"The pain in my chest…it…it hurts when I see Blackwell with his mate. I don't know how to make it go away." Aliikai whispers softly.

Moana's eyes softened by this as she strokes her sister's side. "I don't know, Ali. But I do know that you can pull through, no matter what." She assured Aliikai, holding her tightly. "Don't give up hope, Ali. I know that there's someone out there for you, just waiting to see another one of his kind."

"Thank you, Moana, but I think I should put this romance fantasy to a halt until I'm ready to understand it fully." Aliikai said softly.

"When will you be ready?" Moana asked her sister.

"I don't know, but soon maybe, I hope." Aliikai said softly, nuzzling Moana for more comfort, which she gave. "I'll be fine if you're here with me."

"Don't worry, Ali. I'm always here for you." Moana assured, hugging her sister tightly.

The two sisters stayed with each other for a while until they headed back to the stable to meet up with the others. They decided to walk back to the stables, even though it might take them till noon, but this will allow them to see more of the island's scenery. But as they walked through the forest path, Aliikai spotted Blackwell and his Skrill mate at a clearing. Aliikai's eyes widen in shock by their presence as she quickly ducks in the undergrowth, dragging her sister along too.

"Ali? What's wrong?" Moana asked her Night Fury in confusion before she spotted Blackwell and the Skrill. "Oh…"

"I…I wasn't aware they were here…" Aliikai said hesitantly before looking at the two mates as they shared a loving embrace. "They…they seem happy together."

Moana looks at Aliikai with a worried expression. "We can go to another root; you don't have to-" Moana was cut off when Aliikai shook her head.

"N-No…Moana…I have to do this." Aliikai said to her, looking at the two dragons. "I can't let these feelings take control over my judgment. I have to face it and learn to accept it." And with that, Aliikai started walking towards the two dragons, leaving Moana at the undergrowth.

Aliikai walks over to Blackwell and his mate, she could feel her heart ache at the sight before her as the couple shared a loving nuzzle. She wanted to turn back and leave, but she can't let it affect her life. Once she reaches them, she clears her throat to get their attention. Both Blackwell and Skrill turned to Aliikai with surprised looks on their faces, as the young female Night Fury gave them a small, shy, yet kind smile.

"Hello, Blackwell. I hope you and your mate are doing well." Aliikai said to him softly, hiding her feelings of pain and sadness.

Blackwell, who did not know that Aliikai had a crush on him, smiled at her gently. "Oh, Aliikai, yes. We are doing well, thanks to you and your friends for saving us from our time of need." He said gratefully.

Aliikai smiles back. "It was nothing…although, I don't think we had a proper introduction after saving all of you from those dragon hunters."

Blackwell chuckled as he realized that his pupil was correct. He didn't introduce her and her friends to his mate. "Of course, how rude of me. Aliikai, I want you to meet my beloved and beautiful mate, Elektra." He introduced the female Skrill to Aliikai. "Elektra, this is Aliikai, my best pupil."

"Correction, your only best pupil." Elektra jokes, causing both of them to chuckle as the Skrill turns towards Aliikai. "But it is a pleasure to meet you, Aliikai. My mate says great things."

"Really? I mean…really?" Aliikai asked timidly.

"Yes, little one, Blackwell says that you're a fast learner. I am very proud to hear how you succeeded in his training." Elektra complimented, winking at Aliikai playfully.

Flattered and flustered by this, Aliikai felt a small, shy, and somewhat embarrassed smile spread across her face. "O-Oh...well, thank you. He's been teaching me everything there is to know of being a Night Fury. And it is also an honor to meet you."

Elektra smiles at her gratefully. "Awww…that's very sweet of you, Aliikai, but I should be one thanking you for saving me and the other dragons from those wretched hunters." Elektra said with a smile.

Aliikai smiles back at Elektra, finding her very kind and gentle towards her. "You are very welcome, Elektra. Though I am curious, how did you two end up in the hunters' grasp?"

"You didn't tell her?" Elektra asked her mate in surprise.

Blackwell shook his head. "I didn't want them to worry about me." He said to his mate.

"You know, you could've told us before flying off, we would be happy to help you out." Aliikai said to her master.

Elektra chuckled and nudged her mate with her wing. "You should listen to your pupil, Blacky."

Aliikai looked at Elektra curiously. "Blacky?"

"It's a nickname I gave to my dear mate when we were your age." Elektra said to Aliikai.

"Yes, that nickname annoyed me for years, but I outgrew it and learned to get accustomed to it." Blackwell said as he nuzzled Elektra gently. "And I do miss her calling me that."

"Oh, you big lug, you haven't changed since we were together." Elektra said to her mate affectionately.

"And to answer your question about how we were captured, me and Elektra were searching for a safe island for us to call home." Blackwell explains to his pupil. "We were planning on racing our future hatchlings there. That way, they can be safe and nurtured, far from Viking kind."

"But sadly, our search came to a halt when those dragon hunters showed up, shot us down with dragon root arrows." Elektra explains to her.

"Dragon Root?" Aliikai tilted her head in confusion.

"It's a dangerous plant and it has this aroma that causes most dragon species to be in an uncontrolled rage." Blackwell explains to Aliikai. "Almost all dragon species are affected by the presence of Dragon Root. Presumably, merely the smell can cause agitation and aggression between dragons."

"All of the dragons?" Aliikai asked in shock.

"Well, not all dragons." Elektra said to Aliikai. "Some boulder class dragons are immune to dragon root, mostly Gronckles."

Blackwell nodded at his mate's explanation. "Yes, due to their rock-based diet, Gronckles are immune to the behavioral effects of dragon root. However, when the dragon hunters' arrows are dipped in the dragon root, giving it a different, more serious effect."

"Why is that?" Aliikai asked them curiously.

"Well, when a dragon gets a smallest cut from the dragon root arrow, it creates a serious wound that would make the dragon dizzy, and ill. But when impaled by one of those arrows, we will fall from the sky unconscious." Blackwell said, holding his mate close. "Both of us fell into the ocean unconscious and were soon taken as prisoners. We were separated from each other as I was sent to an auction. I was able to escape because of a storm. I soon found myself on the island where you and your friends came and rescued me."

"And once you are healed, you search for Elektra, correct?" Aliikai asked her mentor.

Blackwell nodded as he nuzzled Elektra's head gently. "I couldn't live without her, for she has always been with me since the day I met her." He explained softly.

"Oh, you're such a big oaf. But you're my big oaf." Elektra said, returning the affectionate nuzzle.

Aliikai watched as both Blackwell and Elektra shared their embrace. She could tell that they are meant to be together, like her parents (Sina and Tui) and her sister with Keoni. She slowly understands that she cannot rush true love and she cannot intervene or ruin their relationship. That is not her. No, she's a good dragon and a good friend.

"You know…since you two are looking for a new home to raise your future family. Might I suggest Motunui." Aliikai suggested to them.

"Motunui?" Elektra tilted her head at Aliikai curiously.

"It's my island where I grew up with a human family. They get along with other dragons that stayed there. It's very beautiful there and there are sometimes tropical storms for Elektra to absorb. I know both of you are still deciding but…I know Motunui will make a great home for your family." Aliikai said with a kind smile.

Both Blackwell and Elektra think for a while of Aliikai's offer. They've been thinking of finding a big island to make their nest, but the Norse are filled with Dragon Hunters, a dangerous place to raise their little ones. However, Motunui sounds wonderful. They heard many tales when they were young that their ancestors used to live in this paradise-like region, where dragons and humans lived together in peace. Lord Draco, the Dragon God, befriended an island goddess known as Te Fiti. The two powerful deities worked together to make the paradise happen until the great darkness. They were told that the dragons were forced to leave their paradise due to the darkness consuming everything. Their human companions were left behind because they were not fast enough to escape or were attacked by sea monsters. But now, the darkness is gone as peace and prosperity continues to live on in that region after Moana, Aliikai, and their friends returned the heart back to Te Fiti. And living there meant that they won't have to worry about Dragon Hunters, and that is something that they really, really want.

"That sounds lovely, Aliikai." Elektra said to the young Night Fury. "Our younglings will love it there, growing up with no fear or worry, it will be paradise for them, for all of us."

"Indeed, it is, my dear." Blackwell said with a smile, looking at Aliikai with gratitude. "Thank you, Aliikai, for your generosity."

Aliikai smiles back at them. "It's no big deal, it's the least I can do after you trained me to be a proper Night Fury. Plus, you'll have a big warm welcome considering my sister is the chieftest."

Elektra looked at her in surprise. "She is?"

Aliikai nodded her head. "Yes." She then turned to the undergrowth. "Moana! Can you come over here, please?"

Hearing this, Moana made her way to the group, slightly nervous going there since she heard from Gil that a Skrill can shoot a stream of lightning that could vaporized a human within an instance. Coming over to her dragon sister's side, Aliikai gently nudged her sister and gestured to the two Striker class dragons.

"Moana, this is Blackwell's mate, Elektra." Aliikai introduced Moana to them.

Realizing what she means, Moana turned to the couple and greeted them politely. "Oh! H-Hello there, it's very nice to meet you, Ms. Elektra."

"Oh! I forgot that you can understand dragons." Elektra said with a chuckle. "And it is an honor to meet you, Chief Moana, but can you just call me Elektra? No need to be formal."

"O-Oh! Of course...sorry for being jittery, it's my first time seeing a Skrill up close. I mean, since your kind is known to be...well..."

Elektra snorts her laughter, finding Moana very amusing. "Don't worry, dear. I'm not going to zap you to obliterate." She joked, causing Moana to release a nervous and awkward chuckle.

Aliikai giggled at her sister's response before deciding to change the subject. "Moana, both Blackwell and Elektra wish to live at Motunui, where they can raise their hatchlings in peace."

Moana looked at her sister in surprise. She did not expect this from Aliikai. However, she could see through her eyes that Aliikai really wants to help them. For they have been through enough problems in this region. And also, wanting to make peace with herself and with both Blackwell and Elektra. "Of course! They can surely live in Motunui."

The Striker mates smiled at Moana with gratitude. "Thank you, Moana. You don't know how much it means to us that we can finally raise our family somewhere safe." Blackwell said with a smile.

"Don't mention it." Moana said with a smile. "So, where do you two wish to stay?"

"If you don't mind, we prefer somewhere solitude and higher grounds." Elektra said to Moana. "We are more comfortable without being in a crowd."

"Oh, we don't mind, you can stay at the mountain of Motunui, it's big and tall, and you can see throughout the village." Moana explained with a smile.

"Ooohhh, that sounds lovely! Thank you." Elektra said kindly to Moana.

"No problem. We can help you settle in and make your nest there." Moana suggested to the Striker class couple.

"How kind of you to offer, Moana. We deeply appreciate it." Blackwell said gratefully as he and his mate bowed at her.

"Well, it's the least I can do after you've been helping Aliikai so much with her training." Moana smiles at the older Night Fury. "We should probably head back, it's getting late, and the others might worry."

"And we should probably introduce them to Elektra since she didn't have a chance to meet them." Aliikai said with a smile.

"You are right, I haven't given them a chance to meet her." Blackwell said, making Elektra laugh.

After Moana got on Aliikai, they took off to the night sky and to the stables. As they flew, Elektra was enjoying the cool of the night sky. She did some amazing maneuverable tricks, impressing Aliikai and Moana.

"Woah! That's amazing!" Moana commented in shock and amazement.

Elektra laughs in amusement. "My dear child, there are many tricks that you and your sister will one day learn." She said to them.

The three Striker dragons and Moana made it to the stables. Whereupon they saw their friends setting up a big table full of delicious food, drinks, and desserts. This surprised everyone, including the dragons. They saw their friends with Adira and Jade. Torches and lanterns are lightening up the area, illuminating the darkness. They were giving them a warm smile.

"Hey, guys! Hope yer hungry for dinner! We prepared a big feast for all the dragons!" Tara greeted with a grin on her face as she went over to Moana and placed an arm around chieftest's shoulder before whispering. "Plus, it's also a cheer up party for your sister."

Tara withdrew her arm off Moana as the chieftest smiled at this. "Thank you, everyone. I think the dragons will appreciate your kindness." Moana said to them.

"Speaking of which, here they come!" Maui called, seeing the dragons that were being healed were coming over to them, surprised to see the food prepared.

Adira smiles at the coming dragons and looks at the group. "Well, it's time for to me to announce them the good news." She said as she walked over a platform and spoke a language that shocked everyone, including the dragons. The only ones who weren't shocked were Yasmina, Nasir, Jade, Cayden, and Solaira.

"Welcome all to the grand feast of your freedom!" Adira spoke in an ancient dragon language. Moana and her dragon-understanding friends were shocked to hear this from Adira. "We are here today for your rescuers have planned a big feast for you all. It is their way of preparing for your journey to the promised land, where you all can be free from hunters and Vikings. You can find humans who will accept you as equals and be welcome with open arms!" With this, the dragons released powerful roars of cheers, happy to hear this news. Adira smiled at this and spread her arms wide. "Enjoy your feast!"

All the dragons started eating the delicious meals that the group made for them. Adira gets off the platform and walks over to the surprised group. The teens, hence, Yasmina and Nasir, stared at her with wide eyes. Maui was also shocked as his jaw dropped along with Mini-Maui's. Adira gave them a playful smile.

"You seem surprised." Adira said to them.

"Uh...yeah! You spoke like a dragon!" Tara exclaimed in shock. "How's that even possible?!"

"That's because Beast Tamers can speak any animal language, including dragonese." Yasmina said to them.

"Drago-what?" Moana asked in confusion.

"Dragonese, it's the language of the dragons." Jade explains to them kindly. "There are only a few people who can speak dragonese, but the Beat Tamers are the only beings that can speak their native tongue."

"Woah! I didn't know that there were others that speak dragonese like me." Tara said with a grin.

"Do you think you can teach me some dragonese?" Moana asked Adira.

Adira smiles at her. "That language can be very difficult to master, but with a lot of practice, you can speak the language." She explained, making Moana smile at her.

"Thanks, Adira. Now, let's go and enjoy this party!" Moana cheered along with the others. They all grab their plates and drinks as they enjoy the bountiful rescue. Moana introduced the group to Elektra, who was happy to meet her rescuers. They dined and partied through the night, happy to help all the dragons in need.

"You know, after this whole rescuing of dragons from those hunters. I think I found a perfect name for a group." Tara said with a grin.

"And what's that?" Moana asked, getting a plate of fruits while Aliikai was eating some fish.

Tara grins and makes spreading gestures with her hands. "The Freedom Bringers! Eh? Eh?" Tara suggested the name.

"Hmmm...the Freedom Bringers...it's catchy." Keoni said, impressed with the name.

"I love it!" Coral cheered.

"Same." Gil agrees with a smile.

"Yeah! It sounds heroic!" Maui agrees, holding a plate full of food, while Mini-Maui nodded his head.

Moana and the others laughed in amusement before the chieftest looked at Tara with a smile. "I guess we're all in agreement." She said as she took a cup of juice from the table and held it up. "To the Freedom Bringers!"

The others followed suit, lifting their cups in the air. "Freedom Bringers!" They cheered while the dragon roared in happiness.

After all the dragons were healed, they headed back to their region. They helped the dragons use their homing instincts to find their islands, which they did, while a few dragons decided to go with the Freedom Bringers. They all settled down in their new home, finding their own rider or tasks that they wish to help the people of Motunui. Blackwell and Elektra were greeted by the people, they were amazed to see two Striker Class dragons at their island, and happy that Aliikai isn't the only Night Fury. And as promised, Moana gave Blackwell and Elektra their nest on top of Motunui's mountain. There, the two Striker Dragons made their nest. They enjoyed the view of the village and ocean, filled with kind villagers and a plentiful food source. A perfect place where they can raise their younglings in peace. The Freedom Bringers decide to stay and help out the dragons to adjust with their new home while Moana continues her chiefly duties. They enjoy their peaceful stay in Motunui.

Aliikai decided to take a nice stroll while her sister helped the healers with the new egg nursery. There, the eggs can be nurtured and will hatch safely while the parents are out working. Aliikai decided to go to the beach, whereupon she saw Bigby close to the shores, lying on sandy grounds, allowing little children to run around his massive body with adult supervision. Aliikai smiles at the sight before she spotted Malie sitting on top of the rocks, making something. Curious, Aliikai went over to the mermaid, wondering what she was making. Aliikai went up to her, before letting out a curious croon.

"Oh, hello, Aliikai." Malie greeted the Night Fury kindly. Aliikai was curious about what Malie was making as the mermaid showed her a beautiful puka shell necklace and on the center was a golden pendant that has the symbol of a Sand Wraith. Aliikai wondered why she was making it.

"I'm making this necklace for someone that I met at the archipelago." Malie whispers, blushing at the thought of the boy she met. Aliikai knew that she was referring to Lani, the Viking boy that lives in the Norse Region and somehow won Malie's heart. "I wanted to go there and give him this necklace, as a sign of good fortune and peace."

Aliikai croons at her, finding the gift very nice, until Malie releases a sigh. "Although, I can't give it to him personally since Cayden forbids me from going there, considering he believes that Vikings are murderous killers that will capture me and send me off to an auction." She explained and rested her chin under her fist. "Why can't he understand that Lani isn't like them?"

"'Cause he's a scrawny weakling that doesn't look like he could hurt a fly?" Tara's voice came from behind them. Both Malie and Aliikai yelped at Tara's sudden appearance. On her shoulder was Mistral the Wisp Dragon, looking at them curiously.

"Tara? What are you doing here?" Malie asked in surprise.

The Lycanwing girl shrugs and leans over a rock. "I finished helping out the villagers with their chores and decided to go for a walk and see what's happening...so, what are you doin'?" She suddenly asked Malie.

Both Malie and Aliikai stared at Tara in surprise and confusion. They are yet to understand her, but she's a good friend. "W-Well, I was trying to think of a way to give this necklace to Lani."

"Why? Are you gonna make him your fiancé just like how Keoni did to Moana?" Tara asked.

"Wha-No! Nononono! I-It's for good luck a-and...and peace! For him to have a safe journey in his life!" Malie corrected, blushing like crazy.

"Mm-hmm. Right." Tara said sarcastically.

"I'm serious!" Malie blurted out, blushing like crazy.

"Sure, you are, anywho. Since you wanna give this necklace to that boy that you like, I'm gonna help you." Tara said with a grin.

Malie made a worried and confused look towards the Lycanwing girl. "Help me? Help me, how?" She dared ask, which made Tara's grin wider.

"I can't believe you're making me do this?!" Malie whispers in panic as she, Tara, Aliikai, and Mistral are sneaking out of the Waialiki's hut. Everyone, including the dragons, was fast asleep. Maui was sleeping on a hammock at the beach with some dragons close by. Other dragons stayed on the stables while some stayed on caves or trees of the jungles of Motunui. Tara's plan was to sneak out of the island on the cover of darkness. There, they would 'barrow' a boat that would sail them to the Norse region, with the help of Mistral.

"Hey! You wanted Larry guy to have your hand made necklace to show him that you like him." Tara whispers back to her.

"I-I don't like him that way! And his name is Lani!" Malie blushed like crazy when Tara mentioned that.

"Shhh!" Tara whispers as she drags Malie to a palm tree and hides with the two dragons. They slowly peeked out to see Cayden, fast asleep, near the path that will take them to the beach.

"Oh, no, Cayden." Malie whispers in worry and fear at her dragon guardian. "There's no way we can get past him."

"Actually, we can." Tara said quietly, causing Aliikai, Malie, and Mistral to look at her. "I put a heavy dose of dragon nips in his dinner."

Malie gave Tara a shock look. "You what?!" She whispers in shock.

"Don't worry, he'll wake up soon. The dragon nips will keep him asleep for hours, just enough time for us to get to the Norse Region and back here before anyone notices we're gone." Tara whispers to Malie before grabbing her hand and takes her to the beach, followed by Aliikai and Mistral. Tara took them to a hidden undergrowth, where she placed a boat that was big enough to fit them. They were lucky to get past the patrollers and dragons before they quickly sailed off to the ocean.

"I can't believe I just sneaked out under Cayden's nose!" Malie squeaks out in fear.

Tara scoffs a bit. "You worry too much! Learn to chillax and break some rules."

"But this is Cayden we're talking about! He's a Vahlok! Lord Draco's warrior and who happens to be my guardian that supposably acts like a second dad to me. If he finds out that I sneak off, he is going to ground me until adulthood!" Malie panics as Tara sails the ship.

"He won't find out, Mal, just calm down and let Mistral do her thing. Mist! You're up!" Tara ordered the Wisp Dragon.

The little dragon opens her jaw and releases a white stream of light, creating a fogbank, and the passageway to the Norse Region. They reached the other side of the fogbank and sailed towards Berk. Malie could feel that Lani was still there with his dragon, Sandstorm. She didn't know why, but she just felt it. They sailed through the night, there weren't any dragons or Viking boats, it looked like an easy sail. However, they needed to get past Berk's guards. Tara knew very well that Berk made sure to have guards to keep patrol on the island. But luckily for them, Tara knows something that they do not.

"Why are we landing the boat here?" Malie asked, finding themselves on a beach that was far from Berk and was surrounded by cliffs.

"Because there's a secret passageway that I know about." Tara said grinning, holding up a torch that was lit by Aliikai. "Now, come on, let's find Laurence."

"His name is Lani." Malie corrected as she and the dragons followed Tara to a huge cliff with many rocks surrounding it. "So...where's the secret passageway?"

"When I was a kid, my mom brought me to Berk for an annual trading." Tara explains to her as she looks at the wall. "I found this hidden passageway when I was exploring." And with that, Tara walked behind a hidden hole on the wall. This amazed the group; they didn't notice it until Tara showed them. "Don't fall behind!" Tara called out to them.

Malie, Aliikai, and Mistral followed Tara through the hole in the wall and down a deep dark corridor. They were lucky that Tara knew where she was going as she had a torch with her, guiding them through the darkness. As they walk, Malie was curious about Tara's past life before she lost her mother.

"So, Tara? How do you know about this?" Malie asks, walking through the tunnel with the others while Mistral rides on Aliikai.

Without looking at her, Tara answered her question while being the guide. "When my mom was out trading with Berkians, I was allowed to explore around Berk, finding hidden passageways and whatnot. I even met kids my age. Though I hang out with this scrawny kid that goes by the name Hiccup. He and I explored the island and caused a lot of trouble. Heck, I pulled a prank on some kids that were making fun of him."

"Oh...so, what did you do?" Malie asked her curiously.

"I tied them up and shot them through a catapult." Tara answered, causing both Malie and Aliikai to stop in their tracks and look at her in disbelief. Tara also stops and looks at them, seeing their shocked faces. "What? They're fine, they landed on a poison oak bush."

"...That doesn't sound any better." Malie said, not comfortable to hear this.

"Potato, potahto. They didn't die." Tara said before reaching their destination. "Here we are."

Malie, Aliikai, and Mistral saw a waterfall on the opening. Tara walked around it, showing them the way out of it. They followed her and to their surprise, it revealed a beautiful cove that is covered with lush and dense foliage and surrounded by rock faces on all sides. There's a freshwater lake that sits in the middle of the area, which is fed via a small waterfall. It is littered with mossy rocks which form the occasional stack, and there are several taller trees like pines here.

"Woah..." Malie said in awe. "This place is beautiful."

"Yeah, I found this cove when I was a kid, went out finding some herbs that could be used for my mom's herbal trading." Tara answered before tossing the torch to the lake, extinguishing it, as she gestured to them to follow. "Come on, we'll reach the village with Ali, but we have to blend in the dark."

They nodded before they got on Aliikai before the Night Fury took off to the night sky. Tara leads Aliikai to the village's destination. It didn't take them long to reach it as they could see torches lighted up, illuminating through the darkness.

"So this is Berk." Malie whispers in amazement.

"Yeah, it's been a long time since I've been here." Tara said to Malie. "Now, let's find this guy, leave your gift, and head back home without anyone knowing that we left." She planned out which Malie agreed.

As the girls searched to which house Lani was staying, they didn't know that Lani and the riders were at the watchtower with Gobber, who was telling them stories when he was their age. They just got back from Skerry Island yesterday and went back to their stay at Berk. Lani was fascinated by his tale while the riders were skeptical, except for Ruff and Tuff. They believe his tales. So far, Gobber was telling Lani about the Boneknapper.

"And after returning his bone from the years of chasing me, he started acting like an overgrown puppy." Gobber told Lani his story. "And side note, the Boneknapper will become loyal to you if you find a bone piece that it is looking for and then it will act like an overgrown puppy dog."

Lani chuckled at this. "Understood, Gobber. It's a very interesting story." He complimented.

"Why thank you, Lani. I love telling my stories." Gobber said with a grin.

"It gets better if I tell it." Snotlout bragged, causing Astrid to roll her eyes at him.

"Gobber has lots of stories." Hiccup said to Lani. "Some stories are true, and some are not."

"Oy! They're real! Did I ever tell you kiddies about how I met the love of my life?" Gobber questions them with a grin.

"Wait, you met someone?" Snolout dared to ask. "I always thought you were in love with your weapons."

"I didn't know you had a love interest?" Fislegs said to Gobber curiously.

"Hehehe, you didn't know that Gobber here has secrets." Gobber playfully said to them before releasing a dreamy sigh. "I will never forget that beautiful woman's face."

"This is going to be boring." Tuff whined in boredom.

"Tuff..." Hiccup scolded the male Thorston.

"Though I'm curious, who is this woman that captures your heart, Gobber?" Lani asked in a playful tone.

Gobber chuckles at him and sighs happily. "Oh, yes, the woman that captured my heart was a trader by the name Fiona Aaberg." He answered dreamily.

"Fiona Aaberg? How come that name sounds familiar to me?" Hiccup questions his mentor.

"That's because she came here to Berk when all of you were all wee lads and lassies. She was a trader like Trader Johann, but she fought like a true warrior." Gobber explained to them. "Lani wasn't here with all of you, so he didn't get to meet Fiona and her daughter, Tara."

"Wait, Tara?" Hiccup asked in surprise.

"Did you know here?" Lani asked Hiccup.

"Y-Yeah, she and I used to play as kids." Hiccup answered.

"That's right, you and Tara were thick as thieves back then. She kept you safe from these bozos." Gobber gestured to Snotlout and the Thorston twins, ignoring their complaining 'HEY!' as he continues his story. "Tara was your only friend during that time. She was there for you when you needed it the most."

Hiccup fell into silence, memories of a red-haired girl with emerald, green eyes came to him slowly. She had an adventurous grin on her face, and a look that showed great mischief. He remembers that she would play with him and protect him from Snotlout and the Twins' teasing of calling him a runt. Heck, she even beat them up for good measure.

"I...I never knew..." Hiccup said in shock and realization.

"You were just a wee lad, Hiccup. You and the others don't remember much about her. But I do." Gibber said, smiling at the cute memory of Tara. "Tara was young and bold, always helping others, and can be a rascal from time to time." He chuckled at the last part. "I even remembered how she challenged Astrid into a wrestling match and the two ended up in a tie!"

"Woah, really?!" Fishlegs said in astonishment.

"Yeah, she and Astrid became rivals! In a friendly way." Gobber stated, making Astrid shocked and annoyed that she forgot that she had a rival that could help her train with her skills.

"You said that she protected Hiccup?" Lani asked curiously.

"Ay! When Snotlout and the twins picked on Hiccup, she tied them up and shot them with a catapult, sending you crashing to a bush of poison oak!" Gobber laughs in pure bliss.

"Hey!" Snotlout exclaimed, feeling offended that he was humiliated by that.

"Huh, no wonder I have a terrible rash on my butt." Tuff said, scratching his behind, earning groans from the group.

"So...what happened to them? Tara and her mom I mean?" Astrid asked the blacksmith.

Gobber responded with a shrug. "Don't know. No one has heard them for years. From what I heard from Stoick when he returned from the island of Hysteria from a chief treaty, he told me that it was the last place where Fiona and her daughter had been seen."

The group was silent, feeling uneasy by this information. Hiccup and the others become worried at the thought of what happened to Tara and her mother.

"What about her dad?" Hiccup suddenly asked. "Do you think he knows where they were?"

"Hiccup, Fiona never mentions her husband, she once said that she met a man in a one-night-stand." Gobber explained to them.

"So, Tara never met her dad?" Lani asked, feeling pity towards her.

"Aye, but it didn't bother her. She was happy to be with her mother." Gobber said with a small smile.

"...You really love Fiona, don't you?" Lani asked Gobber with pity.

Gobber nodded his head. "Aye, I was, she was indeed a beauty. Anywho, we should get ready for bed and-" Gobber was cut off when they heard a loud crash from his forge. "Ah! My forge!"

The group quickly comes down the tower and towards the forge. There, they met up with their dragons, after they heard the commotion. They reached the forge and saw that some tools and weapons were scattered on the floor. Standing on the center of the mess was Phil, Gobber's pet sheep, bleating out blankly.

"Phil! You blasted sheep! Look what you did to my shop!" Gobber exclaimed in frustration, picking up his fallen tools while Phil walked away.

"Huh, who knew a single sheep can cause so much trouble." Lani said as he and others, hence Snotlout and the twins, helped Gobber clean up his shop.

"Trust me, that sheep is the least of your worries." Hiccup said, picking up a fallen shield.

Lani was about to pick up a sword when he spotted something from the corner. There was a piece of cloth that was wrapped around something. Curious, Lani went over to it and picked it up. "Hey, Gobber? What's this?" He asked, holding up the cloth that has something wrapped inside.

Gobber looks at it and shrugs. "Don't know, I didn't see it until now." He answered.

"There's something in it." Lani said as he unwrapped it, revealing a puka shell necklace with a golden pendant that has the symbol of a Sand Wraith. "Woah..."

"It's beautiful." Astrid said, looking at the necklace.

"Yeah, this craftsman ship is very delicate." Hiccup commented.

"It is..." Lani said, trailing off, unaware that a piece of paper had fallen on the ground. Sandstrom sees this and roars gently as she sniffs at the fallen paper. "What is it, girl?" Lani asked his dragon before she picked up the paper with her mouth and gave it to him. "Huh?"

"What is it?" Hiccup asked Lani.

"It's a note..." Lani said, looking at it.

"What does it say?" Fishlegs asked curiously.

"It says...to Lani: I hope you like, from...Malie?" Lani whispers the girl of his dreams in shock. "Malie was here?"

"No way! We could've spotted her at the docks." Astrid said, shocked that Malie somehow got into Berk with no problem.

"And we missed her?!" Snotlout exclaimed in shock as well, and didn't get a chance to meet or impress her.

"She must've come here to give you your gift and left without any of us noticing she was here." Hiccup explained, looking at the necklace. "But how and why?"

"I don't but I have a feeling that she could still be here...and possibly being accompanied by the Night Fury." Lani said to them.

"If so, then we have to find her before she leaves." Hiccup said, which everyone agreed. They all got on their dragons and took off, leaving Gobber to clean up Phil's mess.

"I swear that sheep is my annoying dad in disguise!" Tara yelled angrily as she, Malie, and Mistral were riding on Aliikai. They were supposed to leave the gift at the place where Lani was staying, until a sheep from a forge made a huge mess to get people's attention and they had to leave it there, in hopes that Lani could find it. "When I see the sheep again, I'm gonna cook 'im and feed 'im to Elektra!"

"Tara, focus! We have to get back to the boat before anyone finds out we're here!" Malie panicked.

"Come on, it's not like they went after us?" Tara stated before Aliikai reached to the cove. The Night Fury zooms through the waterfall, entering the hidden passageway. Unaware that they leave just in time when the riders came to the cover after Stormfly tracked them using the scent on the necklace.

"The trail ends here." Astrid said, looking around the cove. "But I don't see anyone."

"They couldn't disappear...can they?" Fishlegs asked Hiccup.

"I don't know, but I think they wash their scent before we can track them further." Hiccup said before noticing Lani, looking at the necklace. "You okay, Lani?"

"It's just...it's just I wanted to see Malie again. And hoping that I can thank her personally for this gift." He said as he continued looking at the necklace. "I...I never got a chance."

"Don't worry, Lani, we'll find her soon, but I think we should head back now. We had a long day." Hiccup said, earning agreement from the group. Lani was the last to leave, he was looking at the necklace before the moon, shining down at them. Even though he just met Malie before, it felt like he knew her for eternity. And as if he wants her to stay with him, by his side. He puts on the necklace and smiles as the golden pendant shines with the moonlight.

"Hope we meet again, Malie." Lani whispers out before Sandstorm flies away with the others.

Meanwhile, Aliikai reached the beach where the boat was, and the girls got off Aliikai's back before heading towards the boat.

"That was a close one." Malie said with a sigh, walking over to the boat. "Now, let's head back, who knows how long Cayden will wake up."

Tara stops and turns to her. "Relax, like I said, dragon nips can make any dragon go relax or sleepy. So, you don't need to worry about Cayden." Tara said with a grin. However, she was cut off when something big landed behind her, causing Malie, Aliikai, and Mistral's eyes to widen in fear and worry. "...Cayden's right behind me, isn't he?" Tara questions, earning nods from the group. "Is he giving the 'daddy look'?" Again, they nod, making Tara sigh in frustration as she turns around to see Cayden, giving them a scolding look. Do they really think that Cayden can pass out with a simple dragon nip? No, even though dragon nip relaxes them, it was not strong enough to knock him down. He only pretended, so he could follow them through the passageway and find out what they were up to. And lo and behold, he found them at the Norse Region, alone without him or the others to back them. He can handle Tara getting into trouble, but Malie and Aliikai, this made him disappointed at them. Of all the crazy stunts that Tara could ever pull, this is far the most...

"Cayden." Malie suddenly spoke, cutting the Vahlok's thought as he looked at with raised scaly brow. "Before you get mad, there is a reason why we sneak out." Cayden looked at her, his face was still stern and waited for her excuse. Malie releases a sigh as she begins her explanation. She told him that she made a necklace for Lani, for the safety and good fortune of his journey. True that she didn't tell Cayden about the issue, but she stated to him that he may not allow her to go. Even though it was a bad move, they didn't get caught or spotted by the Vikings. So, for now, Cayden will allow this one time to slide. He lets out a dragon-like croon, stating that they are not in trouble, but if they ever do this again behind his back, they will seriously be grounded. Hearing this, Malie couldn't help but smile as she hugs her guardian's front leg with joy. "Thank you, Cayden."

Cayden croons at her gently before looking over his student. Aliikai came over to him before they gently bumped their heads gently, as a sign of forgiveness and understanding. He then looked over to Tara, who was looking at him with her arms crossed as she gave him a skeptical look. "What?"

Snorting at her, he expected Tara to be gentler, but he knew that she would react like this. He nudges Malie to the boat, signaling it was time to go home before the sun rises. They all went to the boat while Cayden gently pushed it into the water. They all headed back to Motunui with Malie smiling at Berk as they sailed away.

"We'll meet again, Lani. I promise." She whispers out.

Okay, as everyone was wondering when they will meet the riders, I'm just gonna give a little spoiler. So, in the next chapter, I promise that they will meet the riders. If you have ideas for the next chapter, leave it at the comments below or PM.
