This chapter introduces NERV's first monster and the introduction of Mari Makinami Illustrious as John meets Misato. This chapter takes a day after previous chapters (1 and 2 as it was 30th), as the sudden appearance of Baragon and Godzilla's fury approaches.
Chapter 3: Fire and Earth
Misato Apartment - 8:45 am (5/31/2015)
Shinji was summoned to NERV as Misato took him in her blue Renault Alpine A310 whereas the reason for such the matter remained ambiguous till they got to NERV HQ, and they both were about to be sent to go. When suddenly men appear as Misato knows the person whereas not knowing the other one was. But Shinji knows the person and it was John Browns while it looks like they're talking with each other.
The man around his 30s and wearing a dress shirt with a red necktie, was Ryoji Kaji. A special inspector for NERV as he was once a lover of Misato, and a positive figure for the two pilots.
But during their talk, John and Ryoji are on their way to Misato place as they were talking about.
"Kaji, you know what I've been through, and seems odd to hear but last night I was visited by the past. And it seems there's connections between events."
"Hmm… Well, John. Can't tell on the events that have something to do with Angels. But really unsure if your visit by little women and a giant moth is real or not?"
"Please hear me out. I just found these and I don't know why but I can't explain anything about them," John showed the old written paper as he showed it to Kaji, "I can't hardly believe these have my handwriting and someone else's."
Kaji looked at the notes as he was puzzled about this and said, "Well, it looks like you wrote it back then."
"But these pages aren't mine and I even didn't write them. Even more, I got one from a different person, and by his name. It's someone named Akira Miyashita."
"Can't say… but I can see what I can do," Kaji said as he turned his focus to Shinji and told John, "Well, John. I got something to do."
John noticed and said to Kaji, "Hey I know that kid. He was on the train. Isn't that Shinji Ikari? Ikari's son, right."
Kaji answered, "Yeah, I told you about him. Shinji Ikari."
John looked on as Kaji thought the kid (Shinji) in his age was something that can say to care for him. Even though Kaji knows history with Shinji and Gendo but figures deep down acts like a mentor to him.
When they meet, John greets himself to Misato and says, "Hello, Ms Katsuragi. I hear much about you from Mr. Ryoji." Misato, with a tick-off expression while looking at Kaji, thinks to herself of how the person that she once loved was so… something. Even the years apart of their relationship in their college years was memorable, but now with this guy named John. "A friend huh?" Misato said in her mind a question about this John character. John explains himself and the time when meeting with Shinji on the train. Misato and Shinji left while leaving John and Kaji at her place, instead of going with them to NERV HQ.
John stared on the road as Kaji, who was about to leave when John asked this, "Do you ever wonder about what's right or wrong here?"
"I mean… There's something else-"
"The warning from little ladies because I think fantasy to reality to what the world has for humanity, and what matters for life that's ahead of us."
"But there's so much more than this. What if this is different? Like something there's much more. Even that warning would foretell an event that is dawn from this."
Kaji hearing his word, stops and thinks to himself as Kaji recollects his past and present. The sounds and images flash before his eyes… or rather his own mind from the terrible times, relationship with Misato, and the relation with the two pilots. Deep down, Kaji has multiple things for himself from being triple agents, but with one organization that always has been as right now, who just serve the thing that is his desire to "Find the Truth." But the idea with little girls, giant moths, and an interesting person that is something in mind. What he can say is something that cannot be seen by the naked eye to the truth of things around. John and Kaji parted ways on that morning whereas blocks away from the apartment, there's a teenage girl with blue hair and red eyes. Standing and waiting to cross the road as she's wearing a blue school uniform with white loafers. This was Rei Ayanami, the pilot of EVA Unit 00, who was summoned to NERV and things are quite different for her than usual. Expressionless as the matters towards orders and everything dawn from her birth, as alone in an apartment in Tokyo-03.
Even time with other pilots at NERV and well the personnel`staff, as recalling times…
Shinji is something that makes her feel so much more like to express outside of the box, from the time when she smiles after seeing his tears and concern for her. From his kindful words has brought her heart to feel alive… to feel living.
Unknownst to her, at the corner of the street behind Rei was the figure who was standing there and stared at her. Looking at her as if knowing her because despite not concealing his face, it's Shinji's, due to the sunlight. The figure was the person from the train, as if he was looking at a past but to her, it isn't.
Rei, unsure, turned around and looked at the corner that the figure was standing at. Can say this was a shocker, like a scene of a movie where the person is face to face. Like she would face the figure and ask who are you or what are you doing? But this wasn't like it because now when Rei looks back. She sees nothing there. The figure disappeared, like he wasn't there or ever was there at all.
To Rei, she felt like someone was there and staring at her but felt something familiar to her. Can't put on what it was. So nothing in mind, she continued on what she was doing before.

SEELE Council - 9:20 am
"Impossible!"
"Dead Angels! And NERV wasn't responsible!"
"It's obscured!"
Voices of the secret organization that long to achieve one goal for humanity as it's to bring Human Instrumentality but now, everything was up roar. For years, this secret organization that sought this goal called SEELE, as such they followed through the predictions of ancient artifacts. The Dead Sea Scrolls. The three members were speaking aloud due to the recent events of the Dead Angels, the deal with Alisa Thane, as well as the mysterious item from the Thane Corporation. Gendo, who was in this meeting with the Council, has brought attention between each SEELE member.
Their history with the world was complex because SEELE gained twenty-five percent of power over the world while the other percent were not under their influence. The chances for their goals were a gamble to set their plans in motion whereas slowly they're rising up and would take full supremacy over humanity. For years, SEELE were like forest fires that would burn everything and bring a blank slate to humanity while forging something new. Following and predictions of the Scrolls has gained advantages that brought their plans in advance then no ever before.
SEELE 03 demanded during the meeting, "You speak nonsense! There's nothing that can kill an Angel, more than an EVA can! It's only the Eva Units who can defeat them. Explain yourself, Ikari!"
Gendo spoke out to the SEELE Council, "We have no concrete evidence as to how this has occurred. We suspect there is a possible rival competitor."
SEELE 04 speak, "Hmm… If so, it threatens our plans."
SEELE 05 answered, "For years, we're strived to gain our place in current years. We shall not be folly towards this."
"An excuse if it were the case as there's no agency that can beat our odds. Even the Jet Alone project was the steps that would set a stray of our goal," SEELE 10 announced. The scene was unsettling with Gendo and the SEELE council, who are facing the odds here because of the mystery behind the Angels.
SEELE 08 speak, "But there are certain matters that we should discuss here. Based on your details and data. The angels' remains are nearly identical to the ones that NERV has defeated. So what's your reason for this?"
As one of the SEELE members replies, "Hmm… that's a matter that should be looked into."
"It has never been foretold of more angels, as even more of the descriptions have changed everything… changed our destiny for humanity. The goal for Human Instrumentality."
"Hmm… Even such factor that lead to the remains."
Gendo who can't comprehend this as these words puzzled them that either brought few things in mind. But there's one detail that should be reconsider as Gendo spoke, "There were traces of radiation equivalent to Strontium-90"
"Radiation equivalent to…"
"Strontium-90?! They were killed by nuclear weapons!"
"But the reports show no use of radiation or any nuclear attacks. NERV has no access to this kind of weaponry. Hmm… JSSDF wouldn't go this far because the use of nuclear missiles is redundant after the developed N² technology."
"What else did they say when NERV were informed about the corpses after looking for the missing submarine?"
Gendo answered to the council, "They think something has killed the Angels and fled after the sub was found."
SEELE 01 questioned, "Something, Ikari?"
"Some… Creature"

"Huh? So why are we here?" Asuka said as she was bored and a bit blunt about the sudden call from NERV HQ.
"Umm… Well could be that there has to be a reason for us to come here." Shinji answered her question but likely not the whole one.
Rei calmly said, "It's a debriefing about the cause of the Angel remains and the missing submarine."
"Wait, WHAT!" Asuka is surprised by this as she continues, "what do you mean 'remains'!"
"The remains were discovered near the missing submarine. Examination by the Doctor and have concluded that they weren't killed by NERV. Rather by someone or something else. The Major was informed about it."
Shinji, who has taken the news of this, asks her, "So Misato knows why? And the reason for us to be here?"
But before more questions and answers, sounds of NERV's alarms ranged throughout the base. This brought their attention as speaks can be heard.
Misato ran through the halls as soon as the moment came when Misato saw Ritsuko, who was going in the same direction that she was heading.
"What's going on? Is it Angel!"
"I don't think so. It's something else!?"
"What!?"
"It has no Blue Blood!"
"Wha… What!?"
Rei, Shinji, and Asuka wearing their Plugsuit as they headed to EVA units. With Misato at the control room as she, Ritsuko, and Fuyutsuki stand there with the big screen. The communication with EVA units was connected as Misato, unsure what to say but firmly, spoke to the pilots.
"Okay, everyone. What we are facing is something that we have never encountered before."
"Wait? What do you mean?" Asuka said and puzzled by her words, "We have faced Angels before. This ain't no beginner luck her-"
Misato interrupts as she informs the matter, "Because we're facing something that couldn't be an Angel. It's something else. It's coming to this city."
This surprised and alarmed the Pilots as Shinji himself was thinking… thinking of what? In some kind of settled stop, Shinji's mind began to shift, as his vision blurs and changes with his view in his EVA unit showing devastation. The redden lands, giant headless red Eva units that look like Unit-01, blood splatter, and madness. Even seeing familiar faces from Asuka wearing an eye patch, Rei with long hair, Ritsuko with shaved hair, an old Fuyutsuki, and lastly himself wearing a purple Plugsuit. Then a voice calling to him.
"Shinji"
"Shinji?"
"SHINJI!?"
Shinji snapped back to himself as the voice was Misato who was calling to him. "Shinji!? Hey what's wrong?" Misato said over the control room. Shinji replies, "Yeah… I'm alright. I uh-"
"Okay. The target is heading toward the outskirts of Tokyo-03. All Evengelion units, prepare for launch!"

NERV HQ - 10:00 am
Maya Ibuki, one of three NERV main computer technicians, with her friends Makoto Hyuga and Shigeru Aoba as the technicians continued their work. Until Maya received a report from outside of Tokyo-03 as she looked into the report as her expression changed after the recent information.
"What!"
The other two technicians notice her reaction as the surprised Maya looks at them and she says to them, "Incoming object, 250 miles from NERV!"
Makoto turned to his computer and scanned the object whereas the same goes for Shigeru, Makoto said, "It's 100 meters long… Wait!? What!?"
"It doesn't make any sense!"
Puzzled by their words, Maya looks into their data and finds something that no one would ever expect to see until NERV Head Scientist entered the room. Ritsuko heard their words as one of them spoke to her, "It has no Blue Blood!" Ritsuko said to the sudden answer, "What!"
Upon hearing about this, NERV HQ was alerted by the unknown being as the scene changed to Central Dogma with the MAGI displaying the unknown creature.

8:30 am (5/31/2015) - Miles away from Tokyo-03
Miles away from Tokyo-03, the ground began to shake as the people in that area felt the quake as the road began to fracture. When the chunk of the ground burst open as Baragon emerged, he roared like a lion calling to the prideful land. Panic spreads like a virus, to the residents as they run and scream. Baragon stomped through the town as he was heading toward Tokyo-03.
"GREEEOONNGK!"
Baragon's reason for this appearance is the territory of the area around him as things feel different from what he remembers. Baragon's rampage continued as he destroyed a few houses and ate livestock in his wake. What came to Baragon was the JSSDF as they started to attack from the ground and sky, but it seemed to have little effect on the horned kaiju. Baragon's thick armor skin has proven to be resilient to tank piercing bullets from the JSSDF airships and tanks due to his time when he was living underground. Even time they would aim at his face but Baragon counteracted this by using his big ears as march forward. With his massive claws, Baragon swats at the Tanks as it is followed by the sounds of crashing or sudden explosions. But after dealing with the tanks, he focuses on the JSSDF airships as he jumps high like a massive frog. Baragon managed to hit three airships as the smothering smoke appeared around his back after JSSDF failed to defend against Baragon.
Shrugging off as Baragon continued his path of destruction, the people either escaped the chaos, injured, or killed by his rampage. The toll is reaching 200 injured and 10 dead. Baragon is something that will set a stage of events, as Baragon was heading to Tokyo-03.

NERV HQ (Central Dogma)

Every NERV Staff Personnels ready their station as their pilots in their EVA Units, from Rei in Unit 00, Asuka in Unit 02, and Shinji in Unit 01. The EVA Units were set to go and ready for the upcoming battle. With each Evangelions at the launch pad from left to right as they are…
A Evangelion Unit with orange armor while blue, gray, and white details all over its body. This is Evangelion Unit-00, the prototype that is piloted by the first child Rei.
Beside Unit-00, a red Evangelion with white and yellow details all over its body with four eyes. This is Evangelion Unit-02, a unit that specializes in combat and removes past model mistakes. Piloted by Asuka Langley Sohryu.
Finally, the last Evangelion Unit in this line up is this Unit that has a single horn with purple, green, and black details, as this is the Test Type Evangelion Unit-01. Piloted by Shinji Ikari.
Soon, all three Evangelion Units were launched as Unit-02 and Unit-01 took a pellet rifle where Rei took a bolt-action. Heading to different positions around the outskirts of Tokyo-03 as each of them set for the fight that is yet to come.

Silence. There were only silences that set the scene in complete silence, until Shinji noticed a few miles away as there was something heading towards them. Shinji couldn't imagine what he saw, when the thing was reddish with a large horn, large claws that were as long as two buses, big ears, armor, and spikes. The red kaiju was heading to Tokyo-03, Asuka seeing the kaiju as she took aim with her rifle.

"The target is sighted." Rei said over the communication as everyone in Central Dogma watches the red kaiju, as the details on its appearance makes things different.
"Understood, advance at the target when it gets closer," Misato answered to the Pilots, "processed with caution. Target has unknown properties that we don't know of."
Baragon continued his path to Tokyo-03 as he approached the area where the EVA units were, while Asuka was determined. Firing a few shots from her pellet rifle at Baragon as those large calibers hit its skin, but the bullet bounces off as it did not penetrate through. Baragon became annoyed and enraged by this sudden attack as both Unit-01 and Unit-02 made their move while firing their pellet rifles. Baragon's ears display like a frilled lizard would do to a predator, but not to show off being scared rather displaying intimidation.
"GREEEOONNGK!"
But the effect was the same as before til their rifles' ammo ran out. Asuka and Shinji both discard their weapons, as Baragon who is still unharmed and growls like a wolf showing its fangs. Asuka decided to use her Progressive Knife for close combat whereas Shinji did the same as both of them made their move. Asuka swung at the left side of Baragon but it left sparks as Baragon angered by this attack. Like a bear, Baragon swat at Unit-02 as Asuka was pushed a few yards away and Asuka surprised by the force that this red monster did. Shinji ran up and stepped on Baragon's back as he jumped high to the point where he was about to stab the creature. Baragon took notice of this, and jumped out of Shinji's jump attack as Unit-01 landed but paid the outcome when Baragon swiftly bit onto Eva's left arm.
"Argh!" Shinji squinted at the pain in his left arm.
Baragon helding on Unit-01's arm and tossed him at Unit-02. Who Asuka just dusted herself off and was about to engage but spotted something coming at her. With a loud clash, Unit-01 landed on Unit-02 as Asuka was ticked off by this. Shinji painfully squinted, "Ow!"
While at the control room, Misato and Ritsuko were shocked to see a creature 40 meters tall, and were able to throw Unit-01 at Unit-02 despite its size. Everyone in the room was monitoring the damages on the two Eva Units and the health of the pilots. Unit-01 has some damage on the left arm, where Unit-02 has damage on the chest and head. Asuka's Eva has claw marks on the chest that shows the damage to the armor, but little cut on the right side of Unit-02's face.
"Hey, idiot Shinji! Watch out, where you are!" Asuka is annoyed and stands up again as she stares at the red monster, "Okay, roter Hund. You really push it." So, Asuka readied her knife as she was preparing for attack as she said, "Hey, do you have a shot?!"
"Positive," Rei replies as her rifle is aimed at the head and fires a shot. Baragon felt a hit at the back of his head like someone just threw a pebble at him. Baragon growled at the direction of where his other attack was and he stood bipedal for a moment while giving a growling hiss. It went back to being quadrupedal as everyone from the pilots and Central Dogma looked on. Wonder what it's doing when Baragon's large claws began to dig under the ground. Shinji, who just recovered, looked at the red creature as he was surprised at how fast it dug under the dirt as the ground shifted like it's an earthquake. Rei noticed this and changed her positions, but when she quickly moved. Her footing caused the ground to collapse itself where Asuka moved to, but it happened again. Just like Rei, Unit-02 fell into the ground as the dirt crumpled down, trapping them.
"WHAT!" Misato loudly spoke as Fuyutsuki stared on and Ritsuko couldn't comprehend what just happened when she figures what happened. "I see what it did, " Ritsuko said as Misato did not understand what she meant when Ritsuko explained to her, "It must have dug tunnels close to the surface and weakened the layers. Causing the ground to collapse in itself."
Shinji was the only one not trapped as he sees Asuka's upper body not fully buried but is trapped. But when he was about to help Unit-02, the ground shook and sudden dust of dirt blew underneath where he was standing. Baragon emerges and with its mass, collides Unit-01 as Baragon is on top of Unit-01. Shinji clinging onto Baragon as they both are wrestling against each other. Misato, seeing the fight between Unit-01 and the Red Monster, has her to fear for his safety as unsure what this creature's weakness is.

Shinji seems to be losing as Baragon, near to Unit-01's face, begins to charge his attack with his horn glowing as the same goes for its mouth. Shinji took notice of this and with swift action, he pushed Baragon off. During that push, Baragon fired a stream of fire that spud up in the sky as he landed on his back. Shinji then uppercuts Baragon as the red kaiju was out for a time being. Shinji stops and thinks of Asuka and Rei who were trapped, so he heads to help Asuka, who's… well been busy.
"RRRRrrr!" Asuka is angry and annoyed at the situation that she is in. She can't believe a monster like that, just pulled this and she fell for it. There, she saw Unit-01 who was there and said, "I don't need your help! I'll get myself out of here in no time." Deep down, she's telling herself that she can be the best as never be beaten by a giant red groundhog. Soon, Unit-02 managed to pull itself out of the rubble while at Central Dogma, Ritsuko and the technicians checked over the vitals. Example, Rei who's been trapped as she struggles to be free as she drops her weapon after the ground collapse.
"Rei!? Are you okay!" Shinji called her, "Please be alright!"
Hearing his voice, she answered, "I'm fine." Shinji was calm and happy to hear Rei was okay, til unbeknownst to him. Baragon recovered as he began to charge his attack with his big ears popping up and horns glowed brightly. Asuka spotted Baragon and took out her progressive knife as she threw it at the red kaiju. The blade manages to collide with the fire attack but it melted down as Asuka and Shinji prepare to attack until a large shot can be heard.
Baragon felt a hit as he quickly covered his eyes with his big ears whereas who shot him was Rei, who managed to free herself as well, luckily that her weapon wasn't damaged. Then, Unit-01 and Unit-02 engage as Asuka strikes first by kneeing Baragon's face and slamming him down. Baragon temporarily stun when Shinji grabs its tail and pulls with all Unit-01's strength, to throw Baragon at nearby hills and abandoned buildings.

Central Dogma
The technicians are calculating the following battle as Misato and Ritsuko think about anything from strategies to beat it or possible outcome for this creature to ever live.
"Target is still alive and unharmed by that attack. Unit 00, 01, and 02 are still operational." Maya speaking over the monitor.
"Unit one and two armor are at forty percent damaged."
"Target's temperature is rising! It's preparing for another attack" Shigeru aloud in Central Dogma.
On the screen, Baragon fires its heat beam at Unit-00 as Rei dodge it but at a cost with Unit-00's left shoulder burned. Rei felt pain due to the synchronization with her Eva, where the armor melted due to Baragon's heat rays, reluctant to give up.
"Unit-00 received damage on the right shoulder"
Misato stared at the screen as she spoke, "We need a new plan."
Fuyutsuki commented, "Hmm… This creature appears to be immune to any of our attacks. Likely, it's adapted for pressures of the earth? But there has to be a weakness that can turn things to our advantage. Aiming within like the eyes."
Ritsuko replies, "Likely, but the ears are protecting its eyes and are likely to be very dire when going close to it due to this thing generating some kind of heat ray."
Misato reluctantly said, "We must try! Or else this thing would kill our Pilots and even this city!"
Things look to be the worst as on the screen, Asuka and Shinji attacking the red monster in every direction but seems less because they're taking the hits on Baragon. But not fatally wounding it as this seems to be annoying for Baragon. Shinji kicked Baragon in the face as Asuka did the same but with both hands forms a clenching fist, to deliver a powerful hit. With combined force from Eva 01 and Eva 02, as they knocked Baragon as the force landed on his head where it cracked the ground. It seems both Units were able to takedown Baragon, but it raised its head from the ground and Baragon shook off the dirt as he snorted out the dirt that was in his nose.
"Misato!" Maya shouted as she looked at her.
"What's wrong?" Misato asked.
"I'm detecting another signal!" Makoto said.
"No! We can't handle another one!" Ritsuko spoke.
"Angel?!" Misato questions about the incoming object, but the answer that she got. Was not what she expected to hear.
"Negative. It's something different and is heading towards them!?" Maya said in Central Dogma.
"What's its Blood Pattern?"
"Wait… this can't be right?" Maya said as the screen displayed a blip whereas the analysis of the blip showed some oddities. Because the screen is showing glitches that go from blue, red, orange, green, sepia, and even… gold or purple? "What's going on!?" Ritsuko said as everyone in Central Dogma are at odds. Fuyutsuki, in his thoughts, was unsure of what's going on whereas thinking if the thing was an Angel?

Many minutes ago
Things were setting in as many civilians were evacuated and were safe away from the battle between the Evas and the Red monster. It's in the news, for some, to take the important details and actions that's going on right here as news cameramans and reporters try to take the events in their own hands. But the shuttle disrupted when Baragon burrowed and caused the ground to collapse. Anyone from the news were foolish idiots to do this kind of act as they either fell or luck.
Except for one, as that person wasn't unable to leave and that person was John. He wasn't unable to leave due to his routes being destroyed and trapped as questions if he had to go find another route. But the area where the battle is taking place with Giant Robots and Red Monster.
The ground shook as John and the building started to endure with everything moved while John was unable to balance himself. An old book fell off the shelf as when it landed on the ground, as the book shows something that caught his eye. In that book, it unveils a red wingless dragon with a single horn and claws as there are writings that details about it.
"For the earth shook and the sounds of the dragon. The people know of the dragon, for he is feared for his power as no blade can harm the dragon. The Earth Dragon devours the people and livestock. But Hope prospers when a warrior defeats the red monster with the blade that's forged by the heavens and the earth. Banished by these lands, the Earth Dragon fled and perished."
It was an old story that's been passed down to generations as there are more than this tale as the information of the "Earth Dragon". The myth behind the reality was there were scientific answers from bones of prehistoric creatures that adapted to the lands where they would burrow. The books showed a name, "Baragon Titanus" as it continued down.
"A species of Mesozoic Reptiles called Baranosdragon, are mammal-like reptiles that evolved over the years to evolve and adapt in subterranean environments. The smaller species were the ancestors to this specimen called Baragon. There are three types of them that have been discovered as they are Baragora, Doragon, and the super species, Baragon. Baragon, named after a local fairytale in a Japanese town near to the mountains."
There, the reading shows more details of "Baragon" as the information about its obscure existence explains how little remains can be found and the naming after a fairytale that tells of a Earth Dragon that's the God of Earth and Fire.
John, who took notice of the book and thought back about the Red Monster that was in the news before it ended quickly, considered the possible connection between them as how it related to each other. Think back that the Red monster and Earth Dragon are the same being. But right now, things are at their peak with the pilots as their Evas are enduring heavy damages as their attacks were just scratches to the red monster.
Thinking back to the night, when the Shobijin's visit at his new home and thinking about the priestesses of Mothra. Determine that Mothra can help but can't know how. How. How? That's what he was thinking about and ever determined what he could find. Looking over tales of the divine moth, information about Mothra's first appearance, or the Shobijin. Looking fast, there he finds one of Shinichi Chujio's works as soon as John finds something that caught his eye.
In Chujio's work, there is an account where before the priestesses were taken back to Infant Island. They were able to find them and the only way to catch their Goddess's attention. John spots a picture of a large symbol on the field as there, he finds about the details of the symbol. It was the Mothra Symbol that long ago was used for the Ritual on Infant Island.
John thinks that the symbol can do something helpful as he plans to call out Mothra for help against Baragon.
So John looks for something that can be used for the symbol. Looking around as anything that can be useful. He was outside as there lay the destruction of roads and buildings as even wrack vehicles caused by Baragon's rampage.
Within minutes, he searched and searched for anything from this area as he found a few items from vehicles parts, wood, scrap metal, and other wreckage. The scene changes to John making the Symbol as the Mothra Symbol is drawn as the doubts if this would work because of those details of the past would help. Would help them and save the city from certain destruction of an ancient creature. Soon there was silence… just silences, all there was is silence. The ground shook as he felt it and looked at where it was, as there John spotted the battle between Baragon and the three Evas.
John looked back at the Mothra Symbol that he made as there was silence. Only silence remained as the breeze of the wind was the only thing, except for the battle. Until, the wind becomes heavier and the sky becomes brighter.

John blocking the bright light as there he sees among this beautiful scenery as what he can make out from the bright aura. A large moth that looks divine and holy lights that left anyone speechless when looking at her.
Spirit Mothra appears among the world of the living with white furs and beautiful divine wings that displays its holy presences. Mothra, above the area where John and the symbol, started to make her move as she headed to battle.
"CHEERNT"
John stared at Mothra, who was heading to the battle, flap of her wings left golden particles, falling down. Falling among the destroyed areas, that caused flowers to appear and covered the streets while she lightened the lands and sky.

Shinji and Asuka endure where Baragon attacks are furious from bites, slashes, and burning rays, as Rei tries her best. Even her rifle ran out of ammo and now attacking close combat with knives in hand. It seems everything is at a stand still, as Asuka is relentless and determined to show her strength. Jumping behind Baragon, Asuka pulls his ear and Shinji uses this as he strikes Baragon due to the information that we're told over the coms.
Baragon takes notice and tries to avoid it where Shinji, at full speed, lands a blow. But he only caused a slash at its area around the neck, but wasn't fatal. So what Shinji did was that he didn't aim for the eyes but only caused a cut that made Baragon angry. Baragon manages to avoid the attack and tries to get Unit-02 off his back. Unit-02 unable to hold on as Asuka fell off, and there Baragon freed himself from an annoying tug on his ears.
"Asuka!" Shinji called out, but Baragon targeted Unit-01 as Shinji wasn't quick enough. Baragon rammed him while Rei appeared, but Baragon saw her and leapt off the ground. Baragon slash at Unit-00 as it left claws marks on Unit-00's chest as Rei felt pain on her chest.
Unit-02, Unit-01, and Unit-00 endure damages from Baragon as right now things are at odds because all they did to it was annoying it and Baragon started to have those attacks from the Eva Units, to be bruising like having being hit by a avalanche of hard-hitting rocks. But not leaving punches on them because Asuka, Shinji, and Rei are enduring these creature's attacks. From claws and bites as well hitting is hurting their hands and legs.
"DAM!" Asuka cursed, "This… stupid thing should be stayed down!"
Asuka launched herself as she attacked Baragon with all her fury but still not caused any bloody harm to it. Baragon bit onto her shoulder as Asuka felt the pain on her shoulder, then Shinji appeared and struck the side as Baragon let go of Unit-02's Shoulder. Unit-00 slashes with her progressive knife but shattered upon impact. Then, Baragon unleashes its heat ray at Unit-00 as she endured the burning attack.
"Arugh!" Rei painfully squinted as she felt the burn on her left face where there Baragon was about to attack Unit-00. Shinji intervenes as held on Baragon's neck as he tries to kill it and it didn't end what he expected as Baragon struggled then shook around. Shinji hung on while Baragon violently where Rei and Asuka were unable to move due to the damages on their Evas. But Unit-01 was something that made things much dire… for Shinji Ikari. Never giving up, as deep down he knows something is calling. Calling with words that inspired him to be better… being a better person from himself during his lonely years! But it's fragile… a figment of something that he knows or not. But impossible to tell to himself or others, like he lost it. Something memorial that he will ever remember but he can't… he just can't know what it is!
Baragon violently shook off Unit-01 as Shinji landed beside Rei and Asuka, where things were weary for the three of them. When… communication from the Control Room and it was Misato speaking to them.
"Everyone! We have a Problem!" Misato speaking over the coms.
"Yeah, this thing is hard to beat!" Asuka angrily replied.
"No. Worst! Something is heading to your position!"
"What!" All three pilots were surprised by this.
"What's coming!" Shinji said.
Before anything happens, Baragon stops and looks around as he senses a presence. A looming light shined the sky as this blinded their view for the NERV and the Pilots. Shinji couldn't see what he could make from his view, but the outline appears to look like a moth. It was so bright where Baragon stared at the being before him as he started to engage. The light grew greater like staring at the sun then a beam of energy strike at Baragon meanwhile the others could not oversee through the blinding light.

Pacific Ocean - 300 miles away from Tokyo-03
Far from Tokyo-03, among the crimson sea that lie lifeless with the chances of life that could ever remain for the world of desolation.

A large cargo ship is heading to the city of Fukuoka as it's a long way to get there as the ship's captain and crew have to go through this part of the ocean. There was some tension among the crew as they heard the rumor of the missing ship, KING'S RETURN. Even the cargo ship, Sea Glider, went through the calm seas as the crew worked around the ship with cargo carrying goods. The bright day wouldn't be bright as soon as the head of Sea Glider, there's cloudy skies as the captain of the ship knows his ship would face unpredictable weather.
But unbeknownst to the cargo ship, Godzilla was there underwater as he took notice of their presence and headed toward the Sea Glider. The cloudy sky darkened and the weather didn't seem to rain as the Sea Glider continued through the ocean.
The captain and crew of the Sea Glider felt the ship shake as the sounds of metal and the sounds of something in the sea. When suddenly the ship started to shake as pairs of claws rise up and cling on to the ship. Godzilla surfaces as the captain and crew watch in horror at the sudden appearance of a giant monster.
"SKREEEOOONNGGK!"
Godzilla started his attack on the Sea Glider as the black smoke appeared out through the parts of the ship. With his sharp claws, he left marks on the ship as the cargo fell into the sea where the damages were heavy but still, the ship remained afloat. The crew tried to stay aboard but they couldn't, where many fell to the sea as some of them cling on for their lives. Facing violent fires that spread around the ship, as matters of this ship would come for the few of Godzilla's wrath. The Captain on the bridge tried to get help…
"Mayday! Mayday! We need help! We're under attack by a giant monster! Mayday! For god sake! Mayday!"
At that moment, the call of help didn't come soon till everyone on the Sea Glider shared the KING'S RETURN fate. Burning through the dark sky among the crimson sea as the force of overwhelming will to survive in this world. Godzilla's existence is so powerful that it threatens those who are humans or monstrosities that dare challenge him.
"SKKKKKRRREEEEOONNNKK!"

At NERV Infirmary, all the pilots bandaged and were on their beds as Misato was relieved of their safety and much to their reaction was something. Before this, Central Dogma from Misato, Ritsuko, Fuyutsuki, and everyone in the room were blind by the light when it soon stopped. There was nothing except for the three EVA units, but no sight of the red monster. What's evenmore, the pilots were unconscious and unsure why but both pilots and EVAs were recovered. Taken to the infirmary, the unconscious pilots lay on the infirmary beds within a couple hours. Rei was the first to wake up as Asuka woke up second then Shinji lastly woke up.
Shinji slowly opens his eyes, seeing his surroundings as he sees that he is in the infirmary with Asuka and Rei. Asuka, arm cross, was frowning whereas Rei… being Rei as seeing them on both sides on the infirmary beds. Even more, he was on the bed too, but who's in the room were Misato and Ritsuko as he felt pain from his battle with the red monster.
"Urgh! What happened?" Shinji said.
"We were engaging the unidentified creature and a light appeared. We were found unconscious inside our EVA's and put into the infirmary while treating the injuries that we received by its attack. It's unknown what happened to the red creature but it is presumed to have retreated, where the light remains a mystery." Rei answered Shinji's question.
Asuka meanwhile was mad that she didn't beat it or even the three of them can't handle a creature like that. Besides the Evas are built to fight beings like Angels, as they could've beat that creature with their weapons as well their skills. But were unable to beat it as even within the following attack were having minor damages to that creature. "I'm an expert on this! I can't let something like this slide!" Asuka's thoughts.
"Is there any idea what Misato or my father plan on what we're going to do?" Shinji asks.
"Well nothing for now." Misato speaks to Shinji.
Everyone, except Ritsuko, were surprised by her words as she explained, "The whereabouts of the red monster is unknown and what we got so far from our data about the light was…mysterious for Magi and staff to know what it is?"
Ritsuko speaks to the pilots, "The creature we encountered has features that can't be found in any animals known. But with the strange light, we were unable to know more, just only the data from the EVA units. Due to the damages on the EVAs, it will take a few days to repair."
"What will we be doing?" Shinji asks.
Misato continues as she explains every detail of NERV's plan with the monster and the light, but the sudden aid with a corporation, Thane Corp. The meaning about this aid by a corporation were factors that can be puzzled because of the time with NERV's rival organization, who created the Jet Alone project. But Misato further explained that Thane Corp lacked the capacity of making something like an EVA series or Jet Alone.
But in reality, the truth of NERV and Thane Corp cooperation, is really the matter with Gendo and SEELE's investigation or finding the truth with their intentions. One can say that players are setting their cards and the game of shadows begins. The fool's errand between the shadows that liners behind humanity as the path will lead to chaos.
So now, back to the infirmary with the Pilots, Misato, and Ritsuko as given their 'current' objective with the corporation. Shinji asked Misato, "So what's the Thane Corporation?"
"An international organization with advanced tech, products, and equipment of a foundation for the future, where aiming to help mankind after the Second Impact." Misato said to Shinji, "They funded and aided other organizations like J.M.E.P.R.O, United Nations, multinational militaries around the world, and other organizations."
"Oh? That sounds interesting!" A female voice can be heard as she revealed herself to the other pilots. The voice was… Mari Makinami Illustrious. The other pilots look at her and are dumbfounded except for Shinji, as they wonder who she is.
"This is Mari Makinami Illustrious. The Fourth Child from the European Branch and was transferred here," Misato introduces Mari as she continues, "With a EVA Unit, that's currently under development as of right now."
Ritsuko explains, "Only few patches for this Unit that needs to be functional in the field."
So a new member of EVA pilots has joined as Asuka seems a bit confident about her new teammate when Mari talks to her. "Oh? Isn't you fight that Seventh Angel."
"Ha! Yep. Believe me, I'm an expert in Unit-02 and prove to fight quite alright with Angel from different shapes or sizes. Hmm!" Asuka answered.
"Betcha the princess, focus on the strategies ahead of myself or… behind," Mari said to Asuka, "Besides, things are changing with the fields of things."
"Hey! I could do it better!" Asuka is annoyed but still confident about herself that she'll be the best.
Mari smiles as she looks at Shinji, "Oh? Well I can say that things will be fun, with new factors like that Red Monster."
Then Shinji remembers as he speaks out, "Hey? Does the thing have to do with 'Godzilla'?"
The atmosphere changed when Misato thought of the word, 'Godzilla' as well the connection with the incident with the tunnel. "So is the Red Monster? Godzilla?" She said in her thoughts. So Misato explained about Shinji's question about an incident with a driver surviving a rockslide or cave-in that left him gaping nonsense.
"Hmm? Godzilla?" Ritsuko wonders about the meaning, "Believe it or not but I do not think the thing is 'Godzilla'. Because it's related to the road incident but I don't believe it to be, where there's something else. Other than the Red Creature." Ritsuko recalled the destruction of Hātosutōn (Heart Stone) and it was many miles away from their location. Still Ritsuko does not know what or meaning about this 'Godzilla' topic.

JSSDF - 11:55 pm
At night, the one of the JSSDF military operation base is calm after the recent incident at Tokyo-03, as beside the many from technicians, operators, staff, security, and soldiers of the JSSDF. But the night darkened today as one of the JSSDF maintenance crew members, who were checking over the aircrafts and artillery. Two maintenance technicians were alone, following their check-up whereas one of the two asked his fellow crewmate. In one large room of JSSDF vehicles, weapons, and a few prototypes that's in shambles.
"So, this is where JSSDF's vehicles and weapons are. Joe, "the JSSDF technician said to his fellow crewmate.
Joe answered, "Why, yes. Terry. You see this is important to ensure that JSSDF maintains everything in order and checks for any flaws."
Terry said to Joe, "What's that?" as Terry points to the mess at the end of the room.
Joe replies, "Yeah, it's one of the new prototypes. From what I hear, these have certain properties that settle with the, and much of what JSSDF thought of this odd tech is something."
"Oh really."
"Yeah, amazing thing that can determine what kind of material. As some of the prototypes recently came from the Thane Corporation. They're better than what NERV can offer to us. But we did get a few of NERV's." Joe said as he turned around where he continued on, "With such Thane tech like stealth module and camo, or this one." Joe shows an odd tool that looks like an assault rifle but its appearance differs to the real one.
"Even this one, called Tactical Electric Disruptor or T.E.D for short, as it can shut down any electric machines like automatic locks as possibly weapons. I don't know how, but it seems useless for something with a giant monster. Ha," Joe chuckled as he turned to Terry.
"Huh. You-"
PEW! PEW! PEW!
Joe dropped dead as Terry held a silencer, with smoke coming out of the barrel, in his hand without any remorse of what he did. He shot Joe three times, two after killing him dead.
"HEY! Stop right there!"
Two JSSDF security guards appeared with guns up as one of them spoke to Terry, "Thee fuck do you think what you are doing! Drop your weapon!" The security guard heard a sound in the room that Terry and Joe were in, and finds him with a dead body.
Terry stared at the JSSDF guard while holding his gun as the guard repeatedly said his warning, "Hey! Do you hear me, You Bastard!" Then, Terry said something confusing… for the guard to understand what he just said.
"Ll est bruyant. Pouvez-vous prendre soin de lui?" (Noisy is he. Can you take care of him?)
"What?!" the guard said, but before he could answer.
PEW!
He was shot in the head as it was the second guard who was standing beside him, as she was holding a different pistol with a silencer in her hands.
With a large thud, the JSSDF guard dropped dead as Terry and the second female guard looked at each other with both silencer handguns in their hand. Then, the female guard took out a radio and passed it to him as he held it close.
"It's processing as planned, Commander."
"Phase One complete. Phase Two commence." the female guard said to Terry as he nodded and so they commenced their plan.

A/N: So this chapter introduces Baragon and first battle with the EVA Units against the few Kaijus that will appear in GxE Gods and Monsters. Godzilla Minus One is the best movie of 2023 and it was great to ever watch. Saw the Godzilla x Kong the new empire.
Baragon for GxE Gods and Monsters is a bit stronger than the previous versions of the Showa and Millennium. Lovable Kaiju and little attention in films because I want to make him a being that lived on the earth and adapted to the hot environments. So the battle with Eva units was weaker (against Baragon) from here and controversial because they've never met a creature that isn't an Angel. Do note the Baragon isn't fully instructable because this Baragon is bulletproof, missile proof, and has little armor. This Baragon acts like a wolf when being in battle but with traits similar to previous incarnations like the Showa and GMK. Expressing high aggression that's either his strength and weakness.
Rei's EVA Unit-00 design is a combination with the original and the rebuild looks because the reason is that this isn't just the same Evangelion story where Rei is just a pilot that has a Blue or Orange Unit-00. It's a new perspective where she isn't just the one from the original or the one from the Rebuild. Expressing the changes that she differs her fate between this to Original or Rebuild.
Mari's story (GxE Gods and Monsters) follows the same with her character but her reason for her to join in NERV, will be different. How and Why will be answered in the following chapters. Mari will have minor roles for the first arc/act. Oh for Kaworu, he'll be in this story as his fate will be different. Both of these characters will act like their counterparts (knowing events and details of Evangelions) but unaware of new forces at play. Spoilers Kaworu will not be a one-off character who just died or killed because the reason for his role will be the few pieces for the story.
Overall, breaking into relation with character to develop factors that lead to similar events with Anime Show and Movie because this story will dive into a different future with a What if scenario. Like how Asuka, Rei, or Mari would react to each other.
The mystery of Akira Miyashita remains as his words hint at the incoming chapters and future events. As GxE Gods and Monster will feature new and old characters, for important roles that they play their role whereas the monsters would unveil themselves.
The next chapter… the aftermath of the battle and the Light of the Thane Corporation that hides its own goals. The forming alliance and the principles behind the world and the meaning to Shinji's visions as what these changes have for Evangelion (From Film and TV). Also planning for a shorter chapter for chapter 4 as figuring the following chapters and setting up the plot points.
