Sorry, sorry, for not making this story. I was busy and I had some troubles. I hope you guys can forgive me.
The Dragon Riders and Freedom Bringers worked together to save every dragon that Krogan has. They make sure that every dragon was brought to Moana's region and to their ancestral homes. There, the dragons were safe and happy to live in peace. With each dragon attack, comes new lessons to learn. Lani discovered from Jade that the necklace gives him the ability to breathe underwater, as well as opening a gateway for Polynesian Region. It happened when he fell off his dragon when they were facing Krogan's Dragon Flyers during a storm. Lani almost drowned until his necklace gave him the ability to breathe underwater and able to see the dark. He was able to get out of there, thanks to Malie, and regroup with the others. At first, it was a shocker, but he was soon able to learn how to control it with the help of Jade and Yasmina.
With their effort, they were able to get more and more dragons to safety. They had great support from the Magic Council. Well, the Freedom Bringers have their support, they are still wary of the Dragon Riders. And Lani discovered that Malie's father, King Seaton, is a council member along with her older brother, Crown Prince Nereus. Meeting those two royals scared Lani, considering they were giving him cold looks. It didn't take long for him to realize that they are protective of Malie, especially when it comes to boys. Lani couldn't blame them. Malie is a princess of great beauty and virtue, and Lani was smitten by her ever since their first meeting. But the down side was her father and two brothers (Yeah, Lani learned about Jetty by Malie). The three males are very protective towards Malie, and they know very well how special she is. Yet, they knew that they could not deny her love towards Lani, and because Queen Vivia does not want them to ruin Malie's love life. So, reluctantly, they agree to allow Lani to date with Malie, but with curfew, much to the joy of the blonde male.
Everyone was thrilled to hear this news; except for Snotlout, he didn't like the fact that Malie is dating Lani, but he can't do anything because Tara threatened to rip him to pieces. No seriously, she literally will tear him into pieces if he tries anything to ruin Malie's love life.
It was kind of a shocker to all merfolks since they never could imagine that Princess Malie would choose a Viking as her lover. However, there is a loophole, Lani is the son of Iokua, best of former Chief Tui, and used to live in Motunui. They made an exception. This announcement brought great celebration to the people of Motunui, Berk, and Skerry Island rejoice to hear Lani and Malie being together, as well as sign of peace with the Kingdom of Aquatica. They made a celebration of unity at Motunui, since the people of Aquatica were more comfortable there than on the Viking Islands. No one complained, the Vikings of Berk and Skerry liked Motunui, it was warmer and the food there was delicious. Everyone celebrated the unity while some chose to relax in solitude.
Speaking of which, Aliikai was sitting on the beach, looking at the full moon. The celebration could be heard from her spot, but it didn't bother her. In fact, it was actually nice to hear the celebration for both Malie and Lani. The two of them deserved each other. Yet...Aliikai couldn't help but feel jealous. All her life, Aliikai felt as if she was the last of her kind, she sometimes felt envious whenever someone fined his or her soulmates. She thought that Blackwell was the one for her, but he already has a mate, Elektra the Skrill. Aliikai wonders if she was destined to be alone.
"You know, being alone is not fun as it seems."
Aliikai turns around to see Cayden coming over to her. He sits next to her and looks at the young Night Fury.
"Shouldn't you be with the others?" Cayden asked Aliikai, looking back at the party.
Aliikai smiles at her mentor, "I just need some peace and quiet, and then I go back." She answered with a sigh, looking at the calming ocean.
Aliikai looks down on her paws, feeling slight embarrassment on her face. "It's silly but...have you ever felt like when you thought you found someone that you really like but turns out that he already had someone else?"
Her questions surprised Cayden a bit, realizing that she was referring to Blackwell. She thought she found her soulmate, but it turns out that Blackwell already has a soulmate. It broke Aliikai's heart when she found out the truth. She thought she and Blackwell could be together, but...fate had other plans. He couldn't blame her for falling in love with someone that she had thought that he might love her as well.
"I may not share the same experience of this, but rest assured, is that fate has plans for everybody," Cayden explained to his pupil, "I know the road ahead is full of challenges and obstacles, but we can all go through it, no matter what."
Aliikai looks at her mentor with wide eyes, clearly surprised by his words. She continues listening to him as Cayden took a clawful of sand and let the wind blow them gently to the ocean.
"Not everything is set in stone, Aliikai. I know your heart still aches over the truth." He said, making Aliikai look at the ground, "But it won't stop you from fighting for what's right."
Aliikai looks up at him and wonders why.
"You have a strong heart, Aliikai. You stayed strong when you were in your breaking moments, and remember. No matter what, you are not alone. Your friends and family are always there for you."
Aliikai couldn't help but smile at him, feeling great comfort towards his words. "Thank you, Cayden. I needed that."
Cayden smiles and bumps his snout at her head gently, "Any time, my pupil. Now, come, we have a party to celebrate."
Aliikai smiled and nodded her head before following her teacher back to the party, whereupon she was greeted by her sisters and friends. While they celebrated, they weren't aware that Abaddon the Death Fury was perched on a small land near Motunui, watching his daughter from a far distance. He felt a sense of relief to see his child unharmed, living in their ancestral home, and away from danger.
"How long are you going to stand there, Umbra?" Abaddon spoke, not daring to turn around.
His sister, Umbra, came beside him, "Not long, Lady Hel just wants to make sure you don't do anything...rash."
Abaddon frowns, "I was just checking on my daughter, nothing more." Abaddon said to his sister before finally looking at her, "You should do the same with your hatchlings."
Umbra gave her brother a playful look, "Calamity and Razor went off hunting the souls of the wicked, and didn't want their poor mother to get in their way." She joked with a smirk in amusement while Abaddon continued frowning at her.
Calamity and Razor are Umbra's hatchlings. Calamity is a female while Razor is a male; both are twins, and both mischievous. Unlike the other dragons, female Death Furies can reproduce without a mate. Umbra gave birth to twin Death Furies, Calamity and Razor. The twins were young and mischievous, both enjoying tormenting the wicked souls in pleading for mercy. They can be good kids...most of the time. They are the same age as Aliikai. The twin really wanted to meet their cousin, but Abaddon refused, saying that his daughter deserved to have a normal life, without knowing her true origin. But of course, being rebellious dragons, they tend to disobey their uncle...more than once.
"I hope you send one of our siblings with them." Abaddon grumbles out.
Umbra chuckles lightly, "Do not worry, brother dearest, Astaroth is watching my children as we speak."
Astaroth is one of their pack members. Previously, they consisted of five members. Abaddon is the leader since he is the first one to be created, Umbra was second, Astaroth third, the fourth is Dagon, and the fifth is Hex. The five Death Furies keep the balance of life and death in bay, and serve Hel. Then Calamity and Razor soon came along, and followed by Hex's newborn son, Chrono. Now, there are eight Death Furies in Hel's domain. Well, nine if you count Aliikai. However, she didn't show any signs of having the power of a Death Fury. Maybe it was for the best. Abaddon preferred his precious daughter to be a normal Night Fury, with no powers of the Death Fury. He couldn't fathom how much he wanted to be with her, to spend time with her, to be close to her. Sadly, if he does, then he will endanger her.
"Do not worry, brother. Astaroth and Dagon are keeping an eye on my children. They won't try to sneak into Motunui."
"They better not." Abaddon grumbles, "Her happiness is more important than anything in the world."
"Also yours, brother." Umbra reminds him, "Don't think I've seen you sneaking out of the Norse Region to be here, ever since you found your daughter's location, years ago."
Umbra knew that her brother found out Aliikai's location years ago, when she was only hatchling, after a storm took her away from her mother's pack. He wasn't there for her since he was Death Fury, and constantly helping the Valkyries on finding lost souls to bring them to Valhalla or Helheim. Dragon Hunters somehow found Aliikai's mother's pack, and they barely escaped. He was there just in time to save them, but the consequence was that his daughter was lost at sea during their escape. He searched everywhere for, until he got some help with the Ocean Nymphs, telling him that the Ocean brought to the lost region, which was Moana's region. He ventures far from the Norse region to the Polynesian region. There, he found his precious daughter on a safe island of Motunui, being raised by kind humans, who accepted her as their own. He believed that this is where she belongs, where she could be safe. So, he left her there, where she would live a happy life. But it doesn't mean he would sneak into her home, resting beside her as she slept with her human sister. He's been doing this whenever he has time.
Abaddon looks down on the water, "It was the only way to find closure."
Umbra sighs gently, "Brother, you love your daughter as much as you love your beloved mate, Yelena. Don't you believe she has the right to see her hatchling after all these years?"
"I am well aware of that, sister. And Yelena understood my choice. Our daughter is safe from the hunters' hands. If anyone even finds out that she might have a single trace of Death Fury magic in her, who knows what those fools would do to her."
"That is why you must train her, Abaddon." Umbra said to her brother sternly. "If her power somehow manifest, you must be there to guide her, train her, and-"
"And what? Shatter her world to find out that her birth father is a dangerous monster that can steal thousands of souls...I do not wish for her to know."
"You're not a monster, Abaddon. And let me remind you that I too steal souls of the wicked, along my hatchlings, and our siblings. I know you believe that was the only way, but there are times that you must tell her, before it's too late."
Abaddon didn't answer. His gaze returns back to his daughter, mingling with her friends. He doesn't admit it but...his sister is correct. He will one day tell his daughter the truth, even if it means it will change her world forever.
Abaddon lets out a sigh and closes his eyes, thinking on what to do if that ever happens. Umbra studies Abaddon's expression, knowing what he was thinking.
"Are you going to tell her?" She asked, hoping that he would agree.
Abaddon opens his eyes to look at the island, "I will...but not today,"
"And when will that be?"
"Soon, when she is ready." Abaddon said before turning around, "Come, sister, we must regroup with the other."
Umbra sighs but agrees. Abaddon took off first while Umbra looked back on Motunui, seeing her niece playing with her friends. With a sigh, Umbra follows her brother, heading back to the Norse Region.
Hidden in an icy area, covered in thick fog, was hidden armada. Where all dragons were captured and chained against their will. This armada forces dragons to fight, conquer lands, and destroy lives. Running this armada was a crazed man known to be cold and ruthless.
This man was known as Drago Bludvist.
Drago is a dangerous man. He is the leader of a dangerous Northern Alliance, where Warlords come to take lands, to bring fear and control to the people. They have dragon hunters and trappers, and mercenaries in their wake. Dragons are in the army thanks to Drago's abusive and controlling nature. Getting the title 'Dragon God' from the Warlords. They would invade many parts of the world. But one.
It is a southern region called...Polynesia. Drago sent some ships there to study the areas. Sadly, they did not return. Apparently, from what he learned from some travelers, that this region was protected by an unknown force. Drago attempted to find a way to break whatever barrier was protecting that region, but whenever he did, storms appeared and the waves became treacherous that not even his ships could sail.
As if the region has an invisible guardian, watching over, protecting it from invaders.
Whatever the case, Drago will do anything to get into that region. He heard a legend saying that there is a hidden power in that region. And whatever it is, he wanted it.
But right now, he needs to deal with a meeting with other Warlords. The three Warlords, Ragnar the Rock, Griselda the Grevious, and Chaghatai Khan, wish to speak about the upcoming invasion. The three warlords wanted to invade the Polynesian region, for they heard legends of ancient magic there. An ancient magic that has the power that could control the world.
"DRAGO! HOW ARE YOU?!" Exclaimed an eager yet childish Warlord, Ragnar the Rock.
Drago ignores him and makes his way to the table, looking around to see the rest of the Warlords, including the infamous dragon hunter, Grimmel the Grisly.
Grimmel is Drago's favorite hunter. For he captures the most rare and dangerous dragons ever excited. He is also the one that can hunt Night Furies. Yes, this man, this psycho killer, hunts Night Furies. The first Night Fury he ever killed when he was just in his mid-teens, when it was sleeping, and killed in its sleep. And from that day on, he would only kill Night Furies, for he is Grimmel the Grisly.
"What did you call us, Drago?" Griselda the Grievous questions the supposed 'Dragon God'.
"One of my spies informed me that there is a group of people...riding dragons...freeing and hiding them from my dragon hunter and trappers." Drago explained to everyone on the table, glaring at the map. "Some say the dragons are willingly to help these people."
Grimmel scoffs in sick amusement. "They made peace with dragons?" He chuckles darkly, "Peace with dragons is a foolish notion."
"I agree, Grimmel. But...from what I heard...they are willingly listening to them," Drago growls in anger. "Whoever they are, they are somehow hiding the dragons that are not on the map."
To show his point, Drago stabs his dagger on the map, startling the Warlords and their men, except Grimmel. He wasn't fazed by this. He knew about Drago's short temper, and if someone did cross him...let's just say their death would be slow and painful.
"Did Krogan and his men try to upper hand these unknown dragon riders?" Griselda questions him.
"None, Krogan said that these mask riders were able to seize all the dragons before they could even deport them here." Drago said in anger.
"If this continues, then they will find our base." Chaghatai Khan said to Drago.
"I am aware of this. That is why I brought Grimmel here." Drago gestures to his dragon hunter, who smirks at his words.
"Why sent Grimmel?" Ragnar asked Drago.
"Because, Grimmel has experience when dealing with Night Furies." Drago informs them before turning to Grimmel. "I want you to hunt down and kill the leader of these dragon riders, but the Night Fury, I want it alive."
Grimmel smirks at this, "It would be done, although, my Deathgrippers would have trouble holding themselves from killing this Night Fury."
Grimmel's Deathgrippers are a monstrous venomous, violent, and vile species pf dragon with their protruding tusks, foreclaw pincers, and poisonous clubbed tails. Traveling in packs like wild dogs, Deathgrippers enjoy hunting for prey and should be avoided at all costs. Their venom is very dangerous. Small doses of the venom have sedative effects on both humans and dragons. The stinger is hidden inside a club-like sheath that unfolds into four pincer-like digits, each ending in a small claw. The first strike from the Deathgripper's stinger paralyzes the victim, making it calm and obedient. The second strike puts an end to its suffering, and the third turns the prey's body poisonous to the touch.
That's how Grimmel was able to control these dragons, he used their own venoms against them. They lack the immunity of their own venom. They can't be killed by their venom, but only to be controlled by it. And Grimmel uses their venom to control his six Deathgrippers.
"I trust this mission won't be a problem?" Dragon questions Grimmel.
Grimmel smirks in amusement, "Just give me a few days, the leader's head and the Night Fury will be yours."
"Chee-hoo!"
Maui cries out, swinging his mighty fishhook at one of the hunter's ships, and cuts in half. He quickly turns into a Giant Hawk and flies to his friends to deal with other hunter ships. The Freedom Bringers and Dragon Riders are working together to free all the dragons that the hunters captured. Gil and Coral would lead them back to the Polynesian Region, where they could be safe.
"That's the last of them!" Lycanwing Tara roared, sinking the last of the dragon hunter's ships.
"Great job, everyone!" Moana cheers, regrouping with the others to lead the dragons to the safety of their region.
Everyone cheers in agreement, "Come on! Let's go back to your region for some celebratory coconut milks!" Snotlout whooped.
"Not just yet, Snotlout." Nasir said, riding on Solaria, "There are some dragons that are trapped on hidden islands that are separated from each other, and from the battlefield."
"Nasir's right!" Hiccup said, looking at the distance, "There are dragons that need our help, and we need to free them. We can celebrate after we finish this."
Snotlout grumbles but agrees, the faster they finish this, the faster they can celebrate. The group split up in finding the islands where the dragons were hidden. They were fortunate to find them. They took down some Dragon Hunters that attempted to smuggle the dragons, before they scout somewhere else. Moana and Aliikai were going to scout ahead to find more trapped dragons, which everyone agreed.
However, they weren't aware that there was a trap waiting for them.
"Find anything, Ali?" Moana asked her sister.
Aliikai shook her head. "None so far."
The sisters go farther from the others, to the deeper part of the forest. Unaware that they were being watched.
When the sisters continued their flight, and were about to head back, three unknown dragons came out of nowhere and attacked the sisters. The two sisters yell in fright and quickly maneuvered in a different direction, in hopes to avoid the collision. Moana got a good look of these dragons. She recognized them during her lesson with Adira when she's studying about dragons. These dragons are Deathgrippers, venomous dragons, who's venom are both dangerous and lethal. Especially their fire attack. They release a stream of poisonous venoms that would ignite when made contact.
"Ali! Look out!" Moana yelled out.
Aliikai dodged their attacks, firing multiple rounds in the process. The Deathgrippers quickly dodged her attacks and fires back, but missed as Aliikai easily maneuvered them, due to her extensive training with both Cayden and Blackwell, Aliikai was like a mistress of the sky. However, when she dodges an attack, something stung her on leg, causing her to yelp and slowly lose consciousness.
"ALI!" Moana screams as they plummeted to the ground.
Aliikai, even though she was weak, was barely conscious but she used all her might to land them safely to a secluded area. Aliikai collapsed to the ground, feeling great exhaustion throughout her body. Moana gets off her sister and comforts Aliikai.
"Ali? Are you okay?" Moana asked in concern.
"So...tired...why do I feel so weak?" Aliikai croons tiredly.
"Hang on, I'll find what's causing this." Moana assures her sister.
As Moana checks Aliikai's body, she spotted something on Aliikai's leg. She plucks it off her sister and notices it was some kind of dart. It was different compared to the Pōkole the Kakamora use. She wonders if the Dragon Hunters created some sort of drug that was stronger than Dragon Root. However, before she could think any further, she heard someone approaching. Quickly taking out her spear from her saddle, Moana points it at the direction where the sound was coming from.
Coming out from the undergrowth was a tall, slender, middle-aged man with receding gray hair, pale skin, light blue eyes and a sharp chin. He wears leather armor, brown pants, grayish-brown boots, and a hooded jacket. He has a grappling hook on his armor and has a crossbow holder, for his crossbow, on his back.
Moana tightens her spear when she notices the dark look in his eyes as he eyed Aliikai. When the man came closer, six Deathgrippers surrounded them, giving Moana and Aliikai a sense of dread.
"Well, well, well, what do I have here?" The man mockingly said to Moana and Aliikai. "Two stray pests I presume."
Moana tightens her spear and glares at the man, "Who are you? And what do you want from us?"
The man smirks at her in amusement, "Who am I? Who am I? I am known as the greatest dragon hunter ever existed, the dragon's nightmare, and..." He smirked evilly at the weak looking Aliikai, "The Night Fury Killer."
Moana gasped as she used herself to shield Aliikai from the man's wicked gaze.
"But you can call me... Grimmel the Grisly." The man known as Grimmel grins and does a mocking bow towards the sister. "And I'm here for two things."
Moana stood her ground, pointing her spear at Grimmel. "And dare I ask, what are those things?"
Grimmel's smirked evilly, "Taking Night Fury and delivering your head to my client."
His words angered yet terrified Moana and Aliikai. Guess Krogan couldn't stand her and her friends anymore and sent someone to finish them off, starting with her.
"You tell Krogan to do it himself!" Moana yells at Grimmel.
Hearing her words, Grimmel started to laugh hysterically, "Girl! Krogan is not the one who sent me! Ha! He's merely a lapdog for the real master."
Moana was surprised by his words. If Krogan isn't the real mastermind...then who is?
"Who really sent you?" Moana questions Grimmel.
Again, Grimmel gave her a mocking smirk, "Well...since this will be our last time together. The one who sent me is known as Drago Bludvist, the greatest Dragon Killer and Warlord ever to exist." Grimmel laid his eyes upon them, "He wasn't too happy to find out that someone was leading a gang of dragon riders to save and hiding the dragons from us. I honestly think your action is nothing but a waste of time."
"What are you talking about?" Moana asked him, glaring at the man with anger in her eyes.
"Dragons are nothing more than tools," Grimmel walks over to a Deathgripper, putting some sort of liquid on the color and injected on the dragon, making it twitch and growl in response. "They must be controlled, in order for them to know WHO their master is. And those are not able to be controlled, well...they are as good as dead."
"This is wrong!" Moana yelled, "Dragons are not your personal tools! They are living beings! They are never meant to be like this!"
"Ha! As you if you know, girl. It's like you've lived amongst...wait..." Grimmel observes her attire carefully, just realizing that she does not belong here. His wicked grin grew more and let out a laugh, "HAHAHAHA! It all makes sense now!"
"What is it?"
"YOU are not from this region, are you?" Grimmel questions her, grinning when she hesitates to answer, "Your region is known to have hidden treasures that everyone wishes to desire."
Moana couldn't believe what she was hearing. Grimmel and the other dragon hunters knew about Te Fiti's Heart. Moana remembers some old lectures that her Gramma Tala told her when she and Aliikai were young. Many greedy people from far lands attempted to come to their region, but failed due to the magical barrier that is protecting them, as well as the monsters that still roam the waters.
"If you're from that region, then you must know how to get past the hidden barrier that wouldn't allow us to enter."
Moana glares at him, "Or maybe because our gods will never allow invaders to our home."
Grimmel frowned, "A pity, well then, I guess I have to kill you here and take your Night Fury."
Hearing these words, Aliikai's blood boils. How dare he harm her sister? Her beloved human sister, who took her in, introduced her to her people, who became her family, and always been by her side. No matter what.
"You're not taking my sister." Moana said firmly.
"Sister?" Grimmel mocked with a laugh, "You may see her as someone you care about. But, unlike you, when I was a boy and I came up on a Night Fury, I killed it where it slept. That simple act of courage made me a hero in my village. So, I decided to kill every last one, bringing real peace to the people of this world."
"You're no hero...you're a monster." Moana said to him coldly.
"If so...then you're a fool." Grimmel said, pointing his crossbow at Moana, "Goodbye, girl. This will be your last."
Before he could pull the trigger, Aliikai was on her feet, eyes, marks, and back glowed like a flame as she released an ear-piercing roar.
"STAY AWAY FROM MY SISTER!"
Soon, Aliikai created a burst of blue flames in her body, sending Grimmel and Deathgrippers flying while shielding Moana from danger. Moana was in total shock by this, but what's even more shocking is that her dragon sister is on fire! Covered into blue flames. Aliikai releases another roar that could be heard for miles, catching the attention of the leader of the Death Furies.
"A-Ali?" Moana stutters, still shocked to see sister like this.
Aliikai looks at her with seriousness that she has never seen before as she spoke with a deep second voice, "Stay here, I will deal with Deathgrippers."
Before she could ask, Aliikai disappeared, attacking the first Deathgripper that recovered from the blow. She tackles it head on before releasing a powerful plasma blast that explodes on contact, sending the Deathgripper flying into the trees. Two Deathgrippers attempted to attack her, but she vanished by blue flames, shocking them, but she appeared behind the two Deathgrippers and released another powerful plasma blast that sent them flying to a rocky wall. Three remaining Deathgrippers used their venom to fire at her, but a wall of blue flame appeared in front of Aliikai, blocking their attack. She releases a powerful roar and the blue flames push the Deathgrippers back, crashing them into the undergrowth. Moana gasped at Aliikai's power. Soon, when the danger ceases, Aliikai's newfound power slowly dies down and the Night Fury collapses in the heap of exhaustion and the blue flames slowly die down.
"Ali!" Moana gasped, rushing towards her sister's side, holding her sister's head and placing it on her lap. "Ali?! Ali!? Are you okay?"
Aliikai looks at Moana tiredly, muttering softly, "I'm fine...are you okay?"
Moana, with slight tears in her eyes, nodded her head, "I'm fine. I'm gonna get you out of here, we're going back to the others." She assures her before Aliikai falls unconscious.
While Moana was distracted, Grimmel slowly gets up, holding his injured head with his hand, before noticing the destruction that Aliikai did. He gasped at the sight of a single Night Fury, taking him and his Deathgrippers down with her own power. Anger filled the man's mind as he brought up his crossbow to shoot at Moana, to end her and her sister. He doesn't care about bringing the Night Fury alive. Right now, he wants them both dead.
However, before he could even fire, he heard something from behind.
Whipping around to attack the intruder, Grimmel was introduced with a pair of hellfire eyes, glowing like burning fire.
Moana heard a blood-curdling scream of Grimmel, causing Moana to turn to the source and gasped in shock.
Grimmel's lifeless body fell onto the forest floor, and standing over it was Abaddon, the leader of the Death Furies. Abaddon snorted at Grimmel's lifeless body before making his way towards a distraught Moana, who was cradling Aliikai's head. Moana would've been terrified at Abaddon's presence, but her sister needs help, and she knew Abaddon could help her.
"Please! Please! Help my sister!" Moana begged Abaddon.
The Leader of the Death Fury crouches down at her level, giving her an assuring look. "Do not worry, child. I know a place where she can be saved, just hold on to me."
Moana obeys him as he spreads his massive wings to engulf the two sisters, while chanting a spell.
"Lacunae magicae."
Soon, the three vanished into thin air, leaving a burned area and the body of Grimmel behind. Not long after, the rest of the Freedom Bringers and the Dragon Riders came when they heard Aliikai's roar. Upon reaching their destination, they were in shock to see the massive destruction here. Of course, the Thorston Twins were amazed by the scorch marks, but the others were in complete shock. Keoni immediately gets off Makaio and searches for his fiancé and her dragon.
"Wh-What happened here?!" Fishlegs asked in shock, looking around the burned area.
"I don't know, but something tells me that both Moana and Aliikai had a battle with someone dangerous." Hiccup said, looking around.
Snotlout gets off Hookfang and makes a low whistle, "Whoever they were fighting, it must've been e-AAAAHH!"
Snotlout lets out a girlish scream when he finds the body of Grimmel. The group were in shock to see this. Malie covers her mouth in pure shock while Lani shielded her from the sight. Yasmina and Nasir observed the body of Grimmel carefully. He has few burn marks on him, and no signs of foul play. However, when they observe his face, it shows a fearful expression, as if his life was sucked out of him. Yasmina and Nasir recognized who had done this, and it was not Aliikai.
"Death Fury." Both mystic twins said unison.
Their words brought shivers to the Dragon Riders and Freedom Bringers. They know the power of the Death Furies have no limits, and they are the dragons that belong to Hel, Goddess of Death. But another question came to mind, why did a Death Fury kill this man? And where are Moana and Aliikai?
"Guys! Over here!" They heard Gil calling out to them.
They made their way towards Gil, who was in the trees, observing something. When they got to him, they saw Gil tending an injured Deathgripper.
"Gil! Get away from it!" Nasir yelled, grabbing Gil, preventing him from tending the dragon. "That dragon is deadly!"
"I know! But maybe he has the answer we need on what happened to Moana and Aliikai." Gil said, freeing himself from Nasir.
Just then, the Deathgripper lets out a weak groan, causing everyone to turn to him. He was slowly waking up but it appears he might fall into unconsciousness soon. Cayden, who is like a second father to Aliikai, marches towards the Deathgripper dead in the eye, demanding to know what he and his pack did to Aliikai and her sister.
"The Night Fury and the human girl, where are they!?" Cayden demanded, growling at the Deathgripper.
But the Deathgripper was too weak to even answer, he was muttering something that Cayden heard and couldn't believe what the Deathgripper was saying. Soon, the Deathgripper loses consciousness. Cayden growls, as he doesn't get the answers he needs, but as he turns away, he notices a blue flame flickering on the ground. His eyes widened in shock as quickly made his way to it.
"Cayden? What's wrong?" Malie asked her dragon.
"The Deathgripper said about Night Fury emitting blue flames." Cayden spoke while Malie translated, "Blue flames are rare, powerful, can be used in battle, and also...have the power to heal."
The group watched Cayden moving to reveal the blue flame disappearing, and seconds later, a beautiful flower erupts from the ground, blooming brightly. Everyone was in shock to see this, and soon, the scorch marks on the ground began to blossom with beautiful flowers and plants.
"This is...amazing..." Was all Lani could say.
"It is...and you said...Aliikai did this?" Keoni questions Cayden.
Cayden nodded his head as Malie translated his words, "I always knew Aliikai was special, but I never knew she carried an ancient blue flame."
"Is the blue flame that powerful?" Astrid asked, watching as many flowers bloom from the ground.
Cayden nodded his head, "Yes, it is, and we must find them before any of those dragon hunters find out about Aliikai's ability."
"We have to contact Hel!" Tara said to the group.
"Your sister?" Heather asked Tara.
"Who else knows about Death Furies? If she knows where one of her Death Furies are, then she'll know where Moana and Aliikai are." Tara said to her friends.
"It's a long shot, but I agree." Hiccup agreed with Tara, getting on Toothless.
"But how are we going to contact Hel?" Fishlegs asked, getting on Meatlug.
"She taught me a way to contact her," Tara said before turning into her Lycanwing form. "I'll explain on the way. Right now, we have to go."
"We also need to bring the Deathgrippers," Gil said, getting on Shocker, "I know it sounds dangerous, but we can't leave them here, and they might have some information about what might have happened here."
"Gil's right, we have to bring them with us." Hiccup said in agreement.
"Uh, you do realize they have death in their names, right?" Tuffnut said, riding on Barf.
"I am aware of that, Tuff." Hiccup said to the male Thorston. "We're going to keep a close eye on them, and make sure they won't try and well...kill us."
"What about him?" Coral points at Grimmel's body. "It's kind of disrespectful to leave the body...even though he might be some sort of criminal."
"Hmm...we can ask Hel if she can identify this man, maybe she'll know what he did to Moana and Aliikai." Yasmina said.
"You sure?" Ruffnut asked.
"Ruff, she's the queen of the dead, she knows their past lives and how they died." Tara said, spreading her wings wide and took off slightly to pick up two unconscious Deathgrippers nearby. "Let's move!"
Everyone agrees and follows suit. Cayden picks up the other two Deathgrippers while Yasmina uses her magic to lift up the last two Deathgrippers, before getting to the sky on Solaria, heading back to Dragon's Edge.
Leaving a beautiful garden filled with rare plants and flowers behind.
I will work on more soon. And yes, I killed off Grimmel early, but I have my reasons.
In addition, if anybody asked if I would be writing a Dragons Nine Realms, I would if I wanted to, but I'm still deciding.
Anyways, hope you all like it, and please review or favorite it.
P.S. Lacunae magicae is an incarnation from a TV series called Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
