Hello, Stargate fans!
So... here is another little chapter!
I hope you all enjoy it!
Chapter 15: Original Episode 0.4
Alexandra sighed when warm water hit her body. She felt tired, dirty and her mind was running faster after what had happened on her first mission back on field duty, after the clear from Dr. Keller.
And she had to give it to the Wraith. He knew how to put up a fight. For a moment, she touched her chest, where her heart was and blessed her personnel shield for helping her every time he tried to feed while they fought.
Closing her eyes, trying to forget those moments, she relaxed, letting the water fall down her back.
"Alex? Respond!"
"What the…? Sheppard?" The scientist became alarmed as she looked over to her shower door and a perplexed John Sheppard. "Did you just… Did you override my code?!" Alexandra narrowed her eyes.
"You weren't answering." John merely answered.
"I am having a moment, Sheppard! Get out!" She was angry now.
Frowning, she watched him close the door to her bathroom. Quickly, Alexandra finished her shower, now her relaxation ruined, and placed her towel around her body, since she hadn't brought any clothes. It was her bathroom after all.
"Turn around, Sheppard."
John didn't like her angry tone but did what she asked. And not long he heard her footsteps.
"What were you thinking?! Entering my quarters like that? I could have been naked…"
"That would be a vision…" The pilot teased. But she didn't take it well.
"Don't start with that! This is not funny, John."
"I was just worried." He sighed, trying to appease her. "Sam told me what happened."
"And the Goa'uld tried to put a snake in my head. Several times! And not even my uncle reacted like this. Entering my quarters..." She started mumbling as she got dressed.
"Don't do that." John turned around, frustrated. His eyes quickly went over her to see she had just put a long sleeve and neckline shirt on her, her legs still uncovered.
"Did I tell you to turn around?" Alexandra's eyes were on fire. Something he hadn't seen before.
"I was worried, Alex." His hands flexed, closing and opening, suddenly not sure of what to do. So he put them in his pockets, given the sudden thought of pulling her to him. "Can you blame me? After what happened weeks ago?"
"And that means you can override my code?!"
"You weren't answering."
"I was relaxing. You know what that is, right?" Alexandra grabbed the nearest pair of leggings and put them on.
"I'm sorry I overreacted. I know what it is to be fed upon by a Wraith and since you refused to stay in the infirmary…"
"I refused because I was fine. I wasn't fed upon. I only fought one." Alexandra sighed, remembering reading that file about his experience. She rubbed her temple, approaching him. "I get it, John. I've read most of your reports. But you can't do this."
"I know." He sighed. "I'm sorry."
Seeing his contrite side, Alexandra smiled a little.
"Fine. Just because you look cute when you apologize." She bumped his arm playfully.
"I do?" The pilot raised his brow, a smirk appearing on his lips.
"Now, you've ruin it. Flyboy." The scientist rolled her eyes, going back to dressing herself. And not that he needed that, but she reassured him anyway. "I'm just going to hop into bed and sleep all the way into morning, so you don't have to worry."
"No dinner?" John frowned, concerned.
"I'm too tired to get to the mess hall right now." And she was. She just wanted to lay in bed for the next few hours. If only he would leave.
With his hazel eyes fixed on her, John could see she needed to rest.
"I'll just go then. Have a goodnight, doc." He walked towards the door.
"You too, Colonel." Alexandra gave him a smile as she saw him step out of her quarters and wave for a second, before the doors closed.
For a moment, the room felt empty. She looked around, aware of what the feeling was. She was missing the man that just walked out and was tempted to call him back. Even if it was for him to keep her company until she fell asleep.
However, she just layed on the bed, letting the events of the day lull her to sleep.
Ps: Just a little something to further their interactions.
