I watcfhed Voltron back in the 80's and came across Voltron Force sometime back. But my devious muse came up with this fic exploring several issues after the end of Voltron Force which explored the consequences of Daniel keeping hidden from the veteran members of the Lion Force that he was infected and what those consequences would hold.

The Price of Keeping Secrets

Summary: As Daniel's Haggarium infection grows worse, he begins to lose control of the rage and when control is lost, it results in devastating consequences for the Voltron Force on Planet Arus.

Chapter 0ne

Vince was becoming increasingly worried, ever since Daniel had become infected by Haggarium over a year ago, he'd begun to notice that Daniel was having trouble keeping control of his rage. In the beginning, Daniel had been able to control it but as of late Vince had begun to notice over time that he was starting to lose control of it. I need to tell the others. Daniel had asked both him and Larmina to keep the secret that he had been infected but over time, Vince had come to realize that he couldn't keep the secret anymore, he would have to tell the others even if it meant pissing off Larmina in the process, Larmina could be a force to be reckoned with. It was no secret within the castle walls that her and Allura's arguments were legendary among the staff and everyone knew it. Even Keith, Allura's husband had learned to steer clear when there was a major blowout between the two. But lately things had settled between the two given that Queen Allura was pregnant with her first child and Larmina did not want to rock the boat in that matter period. Vince had started to see a slight change in Larmina, Keith and Larmina had settled on some kind of truce in order to keep the peace in the royal wing of the castle Vince had to shake his head wondering how those three could live in the same space these days. Vince thought back to the argument he had a couple of days ago with Larmina. Daniel was getting worse and the rest of the force needed to know.

Flashback

"Larmina, I know you don't want to tell the other but we have to, Daniel is starting to lose control and if we don't tell them it could be real bad."

"But Vince, they'll kick him off the team and you know how desperate Daniel is to be on the team"

"Yeah, but he's having trouble maintaining control!"

"He's not!"

"He is! It's taking him longer to keep control of the rages and the rages are coming on faster than when he was first infected."

"Vince, he's okay, he says he can control it."

The two had argued over the matter for sometime but he couldn't get Larmina to see what was happening to Daniel in front of her. So Vince had finally made the decision to tell the others ON his own behind Larmina's back. He was prepared to face the consequences if it meant trying to get help for Daniel with this infection.
